Day 89
For Dahlia, who left us Easter morning.
I felt like I needed to spend some time processing and the best way for me to do that is always art. For the first time with a pet portrait, I reached for Pastelmat and it felt so natural to work on. I'm really glad I could spend the time with her today. Rest easy now, Dahlia. 🌸
Created with Panpastels, Derwent pastel pencils, and charcoal on Pastelmat. 9x9 in about 6 hours.
i saw someone talk about how they have to prepare the future actor for Nico di angelo. But the real question is how are they going to prepare the paid guinea pig actor in s2?? That tiny little animal has to look scared, insecure and at the same time, has to look like a simp.
There’s something so satisfying about cooking, and especially for friends. To welcome other people into your home, and feed them well. Such a simple joy but so profound. Providing sanctuary and comfort for those around you is fulfilling in a way I could not have imagined.
