Happy last day of February, everyone! Here’s my completed #moodtracker, #gratitudepage, and #habittracker. The theme for this month is a mix of February holidays and observances, specifically Valentine’s Day, Hedgehog Day, and Love Your Pet Day. How was everyone’s February? The weather has been very weird here. Other than that, life has been pretty much the same. #bujo #bulletjournal #bulletjournaling #watercolor #watercolorpainting #watercolorart #sennelier #sennelierwatercolors #lettering #stamp #gellyroll #gellyrollwhite #sakurapigmamicron Materials Used: ☆ @sakuraofamerica gelly roll classic bright white ink & pigma micron pens ★ StationeryGirl604 bujo calendar stamp ☆ @archerandolive kraft notebook ★ @sennelier1887 watercolors https://www.instagram.com/p/CpO8_HyLyko/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

July Reset
So I posted my June goals, and I haven’t been consistent with accomplishing anything. I did read, but I didn’t finish the books. I exercised, but I slacked off this week. I was not consistent with journaling at all. I’m still working on improving my time management and staying disciplined. I’m just now getting the hang of enjoying things I used to love.
What can I do to help with habits? I can probably try tracking them by using a habit tracker. I’ve tried them before, but I would always forget about it. Hopefully this month, I can start looking at my habit tracker every night to see how much I accomplished in that day. Maybe that can motivate me to just force myself to do the things I need to get done. However, I do not want to put so much on myself just yet since I am still in the beginnings of my healing journey.
Examples of Habit Trackers:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
July Goals:
Exercise and Stretching: weightlifting at least 4 times a week. Maybe I should just accidentally buy a gym membership. There is a YMCA walking distance from my house.
Gratitude Journaling: I still have to make a post about this.
Prayer: I’ve been writing down my prayers in my journal and it just gets all of my thoughts down. (If you have any prayer requests, definitely reach out!)
Meditation: I have tried hypnosis meditation and Christian meditation. They’re both great. Definitely need to be consistent with this to aid in healing from past traumas.
Go out to a nice restaurant, bar, or go for Afternoon Tea: I really need to get outside more.
Buy at least two more dresses and two more skirts. Buy a few pair of shoes. Buy two purses and save up for a luxury purse.
School assignments: For my new class, I want to try to finish most of the weekly assignments by Saturday night so I don’t feel rushed the next night when it is due. I also want to find a data set to use for my final project.
Finish the books I started last month: I also want to write my notes and reviews in a blog post.
Post Mood boards: I want to have at least two new mood/vision boards for the month.
Have my love lists finalized: I want three separate love lists. One for the woman I want to become, one for friendships, and one for my future spouse.

Good practices begin when we set ourselves for success.
So why is it so difficult to develop new good habits? Behavioural scientist who have studied habit formation have said forming a new habit can be challenging because our brains are wired to seek out familiar and comfortable patterns of behaviour. When we try to introduce a new behaviour, it requires effort and conscious attention, which can be tiring and uncomfortable at first.
Here are some tips to get you started . Read till the end for the bonus tip !!!!
1️⃣ Start small. Begin with small achievable habit and gradually increase it over time.
2️⃣ Choose a habit that you enjoy or find rewarding.
3️⃣ Set specific and realistic goals for your habit.
4️⃣ Keep a track of your progress by using a habit tracker. This will help you stay motivated.
5️⃣ Stick to your habit even when you don’t feel like it
By implementing these methods, it is possible to form new habits and make positive changes in your life.
Bonus tip! One famous method to form a habit is the “Habit Loop” by Charles Duggin. Here’s how to practice the habit loop. ✨ Identity the cue or trigger that prompts the habit. ✨ Create a routine that corresponds to the habit. ✨ select a reward that reinforces the habit. ✨Repeat this cycle consistently until the habit becomes automatic.
Don’t forget to give yourself a small reward after completing your habit each day. This can help reinforce the behaviour and make it more enjoyable.

“What is The Wall of Awful? The Wall of Awful is the emotional barrier that grows out of repeated failure, preventing us from taking risks and initiating tasks.” - @howtoadhd The past couple of years were very unusual for me as an artist and creator. Not only unusual but also really terrible. It was a shit show. But with that shit show I was forced to discover a whole lot of stuff about myself and how my brain works. It’s been challenging. It’s been wonderful. But mostly exhausting, physically and emotionally and mentally. Present me is tired. What used to come relatively easy is now taking so much more effort and energy that I’m not sure how much more of this I can handle. I don’t know exactly what robbed me of the passion I had for drawing. I still haven’t figured out what exactly brought me to this place. How I hit the point of burning out so badly that still had not recovered fully. But what I do know is that I’m tired of feeling this way. I’m tired of being tired. I’m sick of not being able to do stuff. I’ve been investing a big part of my energy in building habits. Because resolutions don’t work for me. I made a habit tracker (Patreon supporters can download the template!) to keep me motivated and accountable. But habits come with repetition. And repetition demands executive function. The second and third slides of this post are screenshots of my December and January newsletters. The second slide is my intention for the new year. The third one is when I talk about building habits. You can sign up for my newsletters on my website (daniellepioli.com) Present me will climb the wall of awful. All of them walls. She’ll get on the other side shimmering. She’ll grow. She’ll learn hard lessons. But ultimately, she’ll be healthy again. Balanced. I’m arming myself with knowledge, intention, good habits with the right motivations for me, strategies, and compassion. You can learn more about the wall of awful on @howtoadhd youtube channel. Her content is super helpful to anyone experiencing any adhd-related symptoms (?) and characteristics. Welcome, 2023.✨ Have a great year everyone! ⭐️ #resolutions #habits #buildinghabits #habittracker #daniellepioli https://www.instagram.com/p/CnAdqmDPLG9/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

The Power of Creating Simple Habits
(Disclaimer: There is some sponsored content at the end of this post) Instagram Mail Habits. Sometimes that word can go in one ear and out the other. Maybe you are a busy parent, someone who has to work long hours, or you just are not open to making some lifestyle changes. Hey, I get it! I personally don’t like change myself. As someone who has anxiety, the word “change” scares the sh*t out of…

September Blessings.
I believe September will bring me joy, wholeness, and abundance. It will be the month where I challenge myself, explore my creative side, take risks, put in more work, and prioritize myself.
Oh September, I await you with full arms for I know my life will take a massive turn and I am going to do only three things while I await these successes.
I will be courageous: I am going for it, I am starting a writing therapy class even if only one person shows up. I will use a little courage to enter rooms I felt were beyond me, introduce myself to people, take that leap, trust myself enough to create my dream life, and share my creative and entrepreneurial attempts with anyone willing to learn and live a fulfilled life.
I will be grateful: As much as I want new and better things in my life, I will always be grateful for what I have and have achieved, for the progress I have made, and the people in my life. I have met great people here on Tumblr and I am thoroughly grateful for the responses to each of my posts. Having a gratitude journal reminds me of the little things I easily ignore and how certain things I once dreamed of have become my reality.
I will be optimistic: I am optimistic about life. Life has so many folds, it is beautiful, mysterious, and twisted but it brings a version of us that we never knew. Optimism makes me exercise and eat well, I know there is so much ahead of me and I need to be healthy to be able to enjoy these moments. I take risks knowing well that it will turn out great for me.
I will keep doing these things and I hope you all enjoy all the blessings September will bring to you.

It’s the last day of July, so here’s my completed #habittracker, #gratitudepage, and #moodtracker. How was everyone’s month of July? The sea turtle ecology and conservation field course I took in El Cuyo, Mexico was fun. Unfortunately, I was only able to work one day with the sea turtles since I got sick. Hope everyone has been healthy and happy! #bujo #bulletjournal #bulletjournaling #lettering #calligraphy #moderncalligraphy #monolinecalligraphy #watercolor #watercolorpainting #watercolorart #watercolorgalaxy #sennelier #sennelierwatercolors #stamp #gellyroll #gellyrollwhite #bleedproofwhite Materials Used: ☆ @sakuraofamerica gelly roll classic bright white ink ★ StationeryGirl604 bujo calendar stamp ☆ @archerandolive kraft notebook ★ @sennelier1887 watercolors ☆ @drphmartins bleed proof white https://www.instagram.com/p/CgsmJGRJOKZ/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
