------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“I can’t fucking believe you convinced us to do this.”
Zoro was being a drama mama in the corner of the massive tent you built. Who knew that a 120-berry tent would come in handy? After a little bit of sweet talking you managed to convince some of the entertainers to sell you a tent the Russian circus could be proud of.
Everyone was able to fit inside and even used the piles of salvageable goods for makeshift walls. Zoro had gotten ready in a black fitted vest and some casual grey slacks. You were applying some smoky black eyeliner and purple eye shadow with a light hand. “Sanji finally got Usopp to stop crying. I don’t think it’s healthy for him to be here right now. I mean he finally put down that piece of wood.” This ship was more than a vessel, it was your home. Where Sanji cooked meals, and everyone took their place beside each other.
“Yeah, well, it would boost morale. Let’s try to put on a brave face for the others tonight." Your offer of reason just made him sigh, "Fine. But then back to reality." You roll your eyes and shoot him a smile. You knew Zoro was just being a butthead. Exiting your “room” together allowed you to bump into Robin and Chopper. “Looking cuter than usual, papa.” Chopper basked in the compliments and gave you a twirl. He found a big red bowtie and some matching blue shorts.
Robin was wearing a royal blue jacket that resembled a ringmaster's coat. She offered a warm but tired smile. “Where’s Usopp?” “Right here my sweets!~” Sanji emerged with a red-eyed Pinocchio. Sanji was dressed in simple black and blue attire while Usopp managed to find something of a forest green. You yourself decided on a vampy look. A black dress with red mesh for sleeves and a pair of deep red chunky heels. Who gives a shit about practically when you look sexy?
Luffy emerged scratching his rear with Nami swatting his hand away. He was in his usual chances but was convinced to put on a normal T-shirt with a star design. Nami looked like a magician's assistant with a similar smoky black vest and plum skirt combo that complimented her figure nicely. Brooks looked as though he was auditioning for the part of a lion with how voluminous his fro was looking.
You nodded at each other and he spoke, “I’d say we clean up rather nicely for having just been shipwrecked.” It was good to see him returning to his elegant self. “Of course, we can’t just parade around as is. So.. I brought masks!” You gleamed while holding up a shopping bag. A mix of groans and snickering.
Everyone took a mask that hid their face completely or partly. To be fair, it would be easy to spot the Straw Hat crew even without the literal skeleton following around. Seeing the sun begin to dip you all decided to get going before night. On the way everyone soon fell into pleasant conversation while following you and Zoro.
“Okay, first we eat! Then, we can play games.” Luffy cheered while running to the outdoor food court. Zoro (finally smiling) rolled his eyes and chuckled,” I’ll go with him and make sure he doesn’t eat the stall itself.” Robin took Chopper to the bounce house while Sanji’s interest was captured by a woman in a red leotard. Usopp was looking around some of the merchant stalls and you were happy to trail behind Brooks as he began to try his bones at ring toss.
The night was a serene affair with warm, salty air, and a gentle breeze that stirred the surrounding foliage. Sitting on a bench overlooking the vast expanse of the ocean, you felt a sense of happiness and contentment. As you looked around, you noticed that the darkness of the area was a bit creepy, but the beauty of the surroundings made up for it. Your friends had survived a shipwreck and were now enjoying the town's festival, but you had no idea what it was about.
Looking over the crowd, you saw many people, including children, wearing masks of all shapes and sizes. As the newest member of the group, you didn't even have a wanted poster yet. Since you always hid your face, there was no point in wearing a mask, right?
Just as you were about to remove your sweaty mask, you heard deep chuckling, sounds of thunder, and children screaming. The mixture of sounds was strange and unnerving, and you felt a sense of curiosity rising within you. Turning away from the ocean, you followed the sounds and found yourself making your way towards the fun house.
Children began to pour through the back doors of the fun house as you did your best not to bump into anyone. Coincidentally, Brooks and Usopp had the same idea. “AHH Y/N DON’T DO THAT!” Usopp shrieked, jumping into Brooks' bony arms and immediately falling. The surrounding children found this amusing. “It’s not MY fault if you’re so jumpy.” You dusted off your heels and looked around. Things seem to be calmer now but something about the house seemed…. Off.
Brooks seemed to sense your discomfort. “Maybe the lady would prefer if we left this area? We could still catch up to the captain and grab some tea before the show.” You shook your head, ”Nah, I’ll be okay. Let’s go in together though. There’s something strange about this house.”
Taking one last look at the outside the three of you stumble into the “fun” house. ‘Fun house my ass,’ you thought while trying to regain your footing. As your eyes adjusted to the darkness you realized it was indeed an old house. However, it was decorated more to the liking of some 1860s vampires. There was the faint smell of mothballs.
“This looks more like a horror house,” Usopp quipped and began touching the walls. Brooks was silent looking at a skeletal dummy in the corner. You placed a hand on his scapula,” Yeah buddy, try not to think about it too much.” Slowly you all made your way into a corridor that split into different hallways. “Do we split or stay together?” You wondered out loud.
“Ya don’t get a choice, sweetheart.” A gruff voice answered.
Suddenly the floor gave out from under your doormat, “Y/N!!” the unusual duo screamed with hands outstretched. You slide under the floor, barely missing their fingertips. A metal slide was delivering you somewhere but there could only be a basement under the house, right? Seeing a neon light at the end of the circular tunnel you stopped yourself before falling out completely. You placed a hand out to feel some surface before slipping and dropping onto a concrete floor.
“Fuck,” this was harder than the sandy landing you were blessed with earlier. After regaining your breathing and sitting up your eye finally adjusted and noticed that the neon light was actually multiple lights. Surrounding you was a maze of silly mirrors that distorted your image completely. “No wonder those kids got out. But NOOO I just had to bring Scooby and the gang in here!” You rubbed your sore ass before dusting off. Thankfully, your heels weren’t broken and you didn’t feel any bumps on your head.
But, getting outta this one was going to take some skill. You notice that the wood surface you felt was another trapdoor that spits you out. However, it was already closed, and no telling when it would open again. Your only option would be to try the maze and do your best. Sighing you pulled out a little tube of red lipstick from your cleavage. Better to Hansel and Gretel your way out than be lost the whole night. That was if you made it out at all. ‘Don’t be ridiculous. The staff has to do a sweep and my friends wouldn’t leave without me anyway.’
The thoughts you offered yourself held comfort. But you’d be lying if you didn’t feel scared. Particularly, it felt as if someone was watching you. Looking around the room and doing a little head shake you strolled up to one of the mirrors and fixed yourself before uncapping the deep red lipstick and touching up your lips.
However, your gaze wandered and you could see something watching you from behind another mirror. “Ah!” you turned around suddenly with your back against the cold glass. Nothing, of course, was there. Simply a figure of your imagination.
But, you knew something was there. And you began to mark each mirror with an angry red slash. Looking over your shoulder gave you little security.
Wait….
Great, now you were hearing things. Because you could’ve sworn you heard a faint,” Yo ho,” and the sound of men's boots following you. “I need to get the fuck outta here.” Step, step, step, step, silence. What was the voice you heard before you fell? It was too deep to be Usopp but also not mature enough to be Brooks. Maybe someone over a monitor was watching you guys? Finally, with mercy, you reached a door that led to a staircase. Taking small quiet steps you held your breath and felt relief when you heard no sounds behind you.
Just as you were about to reach the door it was flung open and strong cold hands grabbed you. “Y/N!!!” You felt a familiar long nose and afro in your face crushing you into a tight hug. Your sweet goofballs have found you! Returning the hug with much vigor you breathed a sigh of relief. “Now don’t you ever disappear through the floor again!” Brooks scolded, waving his arms widely. You let out a soft giggle and he couldn’t help but let the anger melt away. “I can’t promise anything. But what happened to you guys?” Usopp began to spin a wild tale about fighting off monsters and being the one to locate you. “There is Pinocchio ass goes again,” mumbled Brooks rolling his sockets. You could see why those kids were scared. But something deep down inside told you that it wasn’t because of the mirrors. “Let’s get outta here already. I’m sure the others are looking for us.”
The trio made their way to the food court where Luffy was arguing the advertised size of a Jumbo Philly cheesesteak hotdog with an embarrassed Nami and Zoro patting his stomach. Robin was enjoying some warm tea in a travel mug and Chopper had gotten you a big soft pretzel. “Nice job papas,” you mused and rubbed his head affectionately. Sanji strolled up (having just been banned from the kissing booth) and handed Nami a cake plushie. “Something sweet for someone sweet~” She rolled her eyes but accepted the plush peace offering. You tried to shake off the past events but could see Brooks whispering to Luffy and Zoro.
They looked at each other and continued to talk in hushed whispers.
Looking around you realized the booths seemed to be… Deserted. There was no life in them anymore. “I think it’s time for the show. Let’s get going.” Zoro took the lead and everyone gathered their goods. He bumped his hip with yours slightly and you looked up from your pretzel. The green bean haired male raised a single eyebrow at you and you shrugged looking ahead. It’s not like you actually got trapped down there. It was just.. nothing. “It was nothing,” your explanation is accepted, for now, as the Green giant hummed in response. You decided to hang back a little and joined hands with Robin and Nami. Chopper got to ride on Usopp's shoulders for the sake of time.
Arriving at the big top you all paid 4 bounty a ticket. It was a little dark when you first stepped in. Looking around you decided to take hold of Zoro's arm for a little help walking. Luffy whipped out a wad of cotton candy and you traded half your pretzel for it. A hum of excited children and families surrounded you all as everyone took their seats in the middle of the stands.
Suddenly, the spotlight came on and a huge puff of smoke developed inside the ring. Whipping your eyes, you found yourself staring at all the performers. You even saw the lion from earlier! Searching for the man that gave you the flier your eyes tried capturing everyone from the sea of entertainers. Acrobats, jugglers, contortionists, and… a single clown?
His eyes were closed but he stood in the center of all the chaos. Around you, children and parents lost their minds cheering, clapping, and waving to all the performers.
Finally, the clown opened his eyes. He wore a ringmaster's coat, nothing like Robins, and sported a blood-orange pirate hat. Two blue ‘ribbons’ (you guessed) hung from either side of his hat. The boots he wore didn’t look like performance shoes either. And the makeup he wore didn’t look like a typical clown. He had painted his mouth into a permanent blood-red smile. And then you noticed his nose. It looked as though he tapped a rather large orange to his face.
Wait. Did you just see the nostrils twitch as he breathed?
“Huh, that’s pretty strange-” “BINKY?!” Luffy shouted prompting Nami to immediately slap her hand over his loud mouth. “SHHHH!” she hissed into his ear. But she herself looked slightly worried.
The clown man immediately seemed to shift his focus on the group ahead of him. Zoro was now sitting tensely and at attention. “Psst, whose Binky?” you whispered. “Tell you later. Right now, we all need to leave this circus.” Your brow furrowed. Leave? Over a pirate clown?
“There’s no way we could get up without him seeing us,” said Usopp, putting a hand on your shoulder. You could tell his energy was off. “I knew I remembered that voice from somewhere.” Luffy’s smile deepened into a frown. Everyone was acting so fucking weird. You were about to voice your concerns when a familiar voice cut you off-
“LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, children of all ages, thank you, truly. It will be my personal pleasure to entertain you all this evening.~”
The clown had now stepped closer to your group. Zoro tugged your sleave but you couldn't help take your eyes off the flashy clown before you.
“Oh…”
You caught yourself about to speak but quickly bit your lips together. Not to be dramatic, but his eyes were a really fucking pretty shade of green. The blue tones around his eyes complimented them so well. You didn’t hear much of what he said, only noticing when he waved his hands at the other performers who either disappeared or got into place.
Zoro couldn’t help but spare you a glance. “Y/n, are you seriously checking out the clown?!” He grunted through closed teeth. Quickly, you shook your head no and looked around that stadium. Luffy was still frowning. Nami was holding onto his arm and you could see Robin pull Chopper into her lap with Sanji putting a protective face on. “Damn, clown,” was all you heard from the seats next to you.
Placing your hand over Usopps, you try to offer him some comfort by running your thumb over his hand. The first act was a simple trapeze act with the performers mixing it up at the end by juggling and riding a unicycle out. Then there was the lion and sheep man but the routine wasn’t comedic. However, you couldn’t stop sweeping over the crowd looking for that green-eyed clown.
And from the looks of things he had no problem finding you.
“Mmm,” you let go of your ruby lips to see him transfixed on your face, head tilted. Almost like he was studying you. You quickly looked away from the act and touched your cheek. Wait, Fuck. You must have dropped your mask in the funhouse when you fell. Looking out the corner of your side, you could still see him staring at you curiously. You decided to close your eyes and try to land back on earth.
‘Everything is going to be okay. I’m safe right here and Zoro will tell me what happened when we get back to the ship.’ The reasoning was stopped when you heard loud screams.
“OH MY GOD!”
A mother (presumably) had cried out along with many other children.
Opening your eyes, you saw the clown's body standing perfectly still as the lion’s face made a puffy expression.
“HE ATE HIS HEAD! HE ATE HIS HEAD!”
Regrettably, you couldn’t stop the, “Oh Shit!” that came out of your mouth causing you to gain a few harsh glares from the parents around. Unconsciously rising to your feet, you leaned in closer to see the damage done. “Where’s his blood?” A few children began to cry a disembodied voice could be heard from the lion.
The sheepman ran over, opened the lion's jaws, and the clown's body walked over and plopped his head back on like nothing happened. The stands fell silent once more before more cheering and screams EXPLODED from the people around you.
“Y/n sit down.”
Oops, forgot you were still standing.
The clown seemed to be drinking in all the attention and flashed an admittedly sexy smile. He raised his arms over his head and a hush fell over the people. “Thank you all for your attention. Now for this next act, I need a volunteer please.” If you weren’t interested before you sure were now, even if you didn’t raise your hand. Zoro, clearly annoyed began to tug at your hand, “Y/n sit-”
“Would the young lady with the cherry red lips please step forward?”
You were blinded once more by the other spotlight as you held your hands up to protect your vision. The light dimmed a bit and you could see everyone, staring at you expectantly, excluding your crew mates.
They were busy staring at the clown in front of you with an outstretched hand. Taking his cue, he shot you a wink and urged you forward. If only your feet would cooperate.
“Don’t be shy now. I don’t bite~” he teased while flashing his teeth. You’d be lying if you said that didn’t do something for you. Not to mention there was this little heartbeat down there that started-
“Aww, maybe she’s shy. Everyone! Let’s give this young lady a round of applause!”
He raised his arms once again and began to clap along with everyone. A single gloved hand shot out towards you urging you to take its hold. Softly pressing your smaller hand into it you were then gently tugged forward towards the ring.
However, you couldn’t feel your legs and as you stepped forward your heels betrayed you again, leading you to tumble down the stands into the arms of the clown before you with your lips-”

“...There is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who’ve gone over.” - Hunter S. Thompson, Hell’s Angels
Summary: A part of the deal to freedom included a stay at Pennhurst. It’ll take everything to keep the hope that one day the locked doors will open, the windows will no longer have bars that block the view, and that one day, the name Eddie Munson will be synonymous with the word ‘innocent’. The hope, he never realised, would also come to be synonymous with your name.
Chapter: 1 / 2 /  3 / 4
Pairing: Eddie Munson x reader
Word count: 3.4k
Warnings: angst, heavy themes of inpatient treatment/hospitalisation, heavy themes of mental health, institutional deprivation of liberties, body injuries, mentions of suicidal ideation, themes of institutional abuse, can be a dark read (continue with that in mind, look after yourselves), canon divergence, Eddie survives the demobat attack, post-S4 timeline, slow burn romance, eventual smut, 18+, eventual fluff, there will be a happy ending
AN: First of all, thank you so much to those who left lovely comments and reblogged. I’m blown away by the support over a little idea I had, based on my own difficulties with the inpatient system. This is a series I’m really looking forward to, and still planning as I go? This second part is the last like, ‘scripted’ part, so I’m gonna have to actually light a fire under my arse and open up a dreaded planning doc lmao. Hope you enjoy this part!! also massive shoutout to @mantorokk-writes for putting up with my rambles and making me an amazing header image, you’re my beloved 💕

Nothing ever changed in this place. Waking up to stare at the same four walls until your door was opened. Same four walls that you showered and brushed your teeth in. Same four walls that you spent the majority of the day in, following a bullshit routine that was supposed to promote ‘positive mental changes’ and ‘the tools for a successful future’.
You were smart enough to know that it was all a load of bullshit. For the first six months of your committal, you believed in it. Practically bent over backwards to show the doctors that you were making progress, holding onto the slim chance that you might finally get the news of being released after the bi-annual panels that were akin to placing your heart on the scale. Balanced against the feather of your guilt, of the timeline of events that still haunted you every waking moment. It took you a year to realise the odds were stacked against you. Two years in, and you’d given up hope of ever walking back out the front doors. Two years of the same day, over and over, no end in sight.
Even the earthquake that had rocked the town of Hawkins didn’t really change things. It had meant lockdown for a couple of days until damage could be assessed, and it had spurned a lot of orderlies, nurses and doctors bouncing for a better life in another city. Leaving only the ones that were most likely too stubborn to leave, now more bitter and jaded for having to keep the job that made their lives that little bit more miserable. With less staff, it had meant a closer eye on behaviour, lest the patients got any bright ideas and decided an uprising was sorely needed. Any infraction could get you put in the hole, no matter how small and stupid it seemed. You’d seen one of the old timers be taken away for a couple of days when they decided to steal a pen from the nurses station. You knew it was because they wanted to write down their thoughts before they forgot. But you also knew that the staff got jumpy when a patient had something capable of being made into an improvised weapon.
The day had started just like any other. Your name being called out as the door to your room was unlocked, tone already weary of the shift ahead and none too gentle. An escort to the bathrooms to get washed up and ready for the day, government issued toothpaste bitter on your tongue and the smell of cheap soap lingering on your skin. Yet another escort to the day room, the doors slammed shut after the last patient passed the threshold. You were still barely awake when the tinny audio system kicked to life, the shrill voice of nurse Koehn calling everyone to line up in front of the glass window of the nurses’ station for medication. How you hated those paper cups with medication inside that you didn’t even know the names of and didn’t get a reply when you asked about, the shitty juice used to wash them down barely tolerable. It had become a Pavlovian response; each sip meant that little bit less freedom, a sluggish haze descending over you that made everything numb and fuzzy at the edges. But at least there were small victories, coming in the form of a pack of Marlboros as a reward for taking the fucking things without a fight. You tapped the pack against your palm as you made your way over to the table you usually sat at, taking one out and dangling the filter between your lips as you nodded your head towards an orderly for the use of a lighter. Because God forbid you were allowed to hold one for more than two seconds, lest you burn down the building. A thought that had admittedly crossed your mind once or twice.
By mid afternoon, you were six cigarettes down and in the middle of a game of solitaire when the door to the day room opened, and you turned your head on instinct to see what was happening. Miller’s hand on the door as she corralled a man you hadn’t seen before into the room, closing the door behind him and leaving him to fend for himself. He looked scared shitless; eyes frantically darting around the room, his hands curled into fists so tightly that it made his knuckles turn alabaster. Wild and frizzy curls that tumbled past his shoulders, failing to hide the red and angry scars that marred his neck and face. A little lost lamb in the den of poorly concealed wolves, the sight pulling at your heartstrings that you swore had been crystallised a long time ago. You never really believed in ghosts, but it was as if you were looking at a spectre. A shell of a man, barely holding on by a thread. He was a reflection of you, when you’d first got here.
Gathering up the playing cards, you puffed out an air of nicotine as you shook your head. “Are you just going to stand there? You’re making the place look untidy,” you muttered, already dealing out two piles of cards before he realised you were talking to him.
You glanced back over to him, his muscles tensed and a deer in the headlights expression staring back at you. It took a few heartbeats for him to catch on, and one glance back before his umber eyes settled on you again. “You talkin’ to me?”
His words were softly spoken, a hoarseness to them that you’d heard from other patients who seldom uttered a word. A slight tremor to his cadence, that you easily picked up on. You nodded as you gestured your head to the wooden chair opposite you, leaning back in your seat as you studied your cards. “Staff get a bit jumpy if you stand by the doors too long. Suggest you find yourself somewhere to be that’s away from them.”
The conversation seemed to hang in the balance; no doubt he was weighing up the pros and cons of talking to someone deemed a lunatic. You couldn’t blame him. A couple of residents here were like that. Would smile and make pleasant conversation, fooling you into thinking they were perfectly reasonable human beings. And perhaps they were. But you also knew their reason for being here, and one or two made you feel sick to your core. You heard the shuffling of rubber soles get closer, until he finally took a seat at the table. You kept your face neutral as you took another drag of your cigarette, settling the stick between pointer and middle finger. “You know how to play gin rummy?”
You lifted your eyes as he picked up the cards, a look of confusion evident as his other hand scratched the back of his neck. “Haven’t played for a long time,” he admitted, the volume of his tone still not rising above the level of when he first spoke.
You shrugged as he made the first move, noticing the way his eyes darted towards the carton of cigarettes in the middle of the table. You set your hand down for a moment, picking up the pack and pulling one out. “Doesn’t matter about winning, what matters is looking like you’re occupied,” you explained, using the cherry of the lit cigarette to ignite the other. Dropping the fresh one into the ashtray, you pushed it slightly towards him in offering as you picked the cards back up. “Idle hands are the Devil’s tools and all that shit.”
His body language seemed to change at your actions, eyes narrowed as they flickered from the ashtray to yours. It was a look of incredulity, if you were reading it right. You couldn’t blame him; if the roles were reversed, you’d think twice about accepting, just like he was. “And you’re telling me this because…?”
You held up your hands in mock surrender, offering a slight smile that didn’t show teeth. “Because you seem to have your shit together for the most part, and I’m sick of trying to have conversations with lunatics.” Technically the truth. He didn’t have to know about your burning curiosity just yet, but the thought of having someone around your age who still had his faculties to talk to was an offer that you couldn’t refuse.
You were greeted with a slight eyebrow raise as he scratched at his scarred cheek, something that you could now assume was a tell that he was nervous. The fear still evident, yet a spark of something only just alight in his eyes. “Aren’t we both technically lunatics?” There it was. A ghost of a smile, a blink and you’d miss it moment.
“Depends on who you listen to,” you offered with a slight grimace. “Some of us locked in here are innocent.”
“Are you one of them?”
Your stomach twisted at the ever so slight tone of disbelief you were sure you picked up on. How many times had you sworn on everything you ever loved that you never did what they accused you of, screamed your innocence at the top of your lungs to never be heard. It made that cage you kept your heart in that little bit stronger, the muscle decaying from lack of oxygen. “Depends who you ask.”
His body language seemed to change in small increments, the small shifts only recognisable if you were really paying attention. To see them meant hope; how many times had you spoken to another patient, to be met with a blank stare and slackened jaw? Under the surface, no matter how deep it was, there was life. No doubt beaten down so intensely that he’d locked it away for self preservation. But it was there, all the same. Another ghost of a smile as he finally picked up the cigarette, taking a deep, sharp pull and his eyes slightly fluttering with the relief that nicotine could bring. “I’m asking you.”
It felt like an impossible question. If answered truthfully, you could still be seen as a liar. He didn’t know you, hadn’t heard your side of the story, or even the story at all. All he had to go on was an offer of a cigarette, and an invitation to sit down.
But what did you have to lose?
“I am,” you finally murmured, bringing the cigarette filter to your lips to fill your lungs with smoke as acrid as you felt on the inside.
There was a nod of his head as he looked down towards the cards, letting the silence settle as you played a few turns. Both of you avoiding the subject as much as the situation allowed, neither one meeting the other’s gaze. But it was him to break it, a soft sigh just before his admission.
“I’m innocent too.”
So he wasn’t here voluntarily. The circumstances not being one of contemplating suicide, or having a nervous breakdown. An admission like that meant he was accused of something, just like you. Whether he was telling the truth or not, you had no idea. It was pushing your luck to ask for more, but you had nothing else to lose. “What did they say you did?”
You saw his whole body tense again, as if the question was a bullet through the chest. His grip on the flimsy playing cards tightening, jabbing the remnants of tobacco into the ashtray with a little more force than needed. “Doesn’t matter.” His voice had got impossibly quiet again, an edge of frustration to it. He was guarded again, no doubt starting to get lost in the negative memories that you guessed crowded his head every waking moment. Maybe similar to the ones that crowded yours.
You exhaled deeply through your nose as you chipped your own cigarette out. “Just as a heads up, you don’t have to tell me now. But around here, secrets don’t stay secrets for long. They’ll ask you about what you did in group therapy.”
You heard his sharp exhale, noticing his eyes getting glassy with unshed tears. His fingernails scratched the scars on his neck, near frantic as he shook his head. Over your time here, you could see what this was. It was a panic attack, in its infancy but rapidly devolving. It twisted your gut to see, knowing that it was technically your fault. But why bother lying about it, when he’d find out himself in the next few hours?
“Haven’t seen you around before,” you said softly, mind working overtime to try and head whatever he was going through off at the pass. Distraction seemed to be what instinct was telling you to do. “You get admitted today?”
He shook his head, unruly curls swaying as he did. “No, I uh… It’s been four months, I think.”
Your eyebrow raised as you shuffled the cards in your hand, deciding to avoid eye contact to give him a little breathing room. “You get upgraded from minimum, or downgraded from supermax?”
“It was uh… A downgrade, maybe? I haven’t seen much of the place.”
You let out the incredulous laugh that bubbled in your chest, clicking your teeth with your tongue. “Must have friends in high places. Rumour is you don’t get out of there unless it’s either a miracle or a body bag.”
There was a spark of something unreadable in his features, your best guess one of realisation. You didn’t have enough information, so you decided to ignore it for now. “Is it as bad as they say it is down there?” you asked, cocking your head to the side.
“Probably, don’t know what they say,” he answered with a slight shrug, his breathing slowing back down as he focused on the questions given to him.
“They say rats crawl over you when you’re sleeping, and the guards carry tasers.”
You got a slight smile in reply as he shook his head, focusing on the cards that you’d both long forgotten about. Becoming something more like a prop to dissuade the conversation being interrupted. “Not true. It’s just… Suffocating down there.”
“Well, sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but it’s not that much different here,” you sighed, rubbing a hand over your face. “Anybody tell you the routine of the day? Where you gotta be at what time?”
He shook his head slowly, and you let out a long exhale. Of course nobody told him. But he’d be expected to follow the rules all the same, getting punished for something that wasn’t his fault. So, you laid it out to him. The whole routine that was the backbone of your life, and would probably be so until you either left this world or the Earth stopped revolving. Wake up, get washed up for the day. Breakfast, then community meeting. Recreation time. Lunch. Group therapy. More free time, though the option to go outside was there if it was a nice day and the staff were in a gracious mood. Some other form of bullshit therapy, depending on the day. Dinner. If you were deemed trustworthy enough, some form of manual labour was assigned to you to help run the hospital, totally not because they couldn’t afford the staff to do it, that would be absurd. Being guided to the bathrooms to clean up from the day and sent to your designated room for lights out and lock up. By the time you finished explaining, you’d managed to get a winning hand of cards, tossing them on the table as you reached for your cigarette pack. “Still jazzed about getting downgraded?” you asked with a wry smirk, raising your hand and getting the attention of one of the orderlies for the lighter.
“Trust me, it’s better than being down there,” he muttered, mindful to keep his voice low as the staff member approached. Now his hands were free of cards, you noticed how he fiddled with something on his left hand that wasn’t there, perhaps out of a learned behaviour that he’d had long before this place. You decided not to bring it up. It wasn’t your place.
“Guess beggars can’t be choosers,” you shrugged, grabbing another cigarette and lighting it with the cherry again. This time you handed it to him yourself, held out like an olive branch. One that he seemed hesitant to take, eyes flitting from your hand to your eyes in quick succession. “Never caught your name.”
The very tentative trust in a barely budding friendship, however small it was at that very moment, hung in the balance. It was likely that he’d either never had kindness before, or hadn’t in a very long time. It hurt to see, and it hurt even more to know that he was acting as a mirror. The last person who’d ever shown you mercy had long gone, and you were completely on your own. Trapped behind enemy lines, with no weapons to show for it. The only thing you could do was find allies wherever they may be, and pray to whoever was above you that they wouldn’t stab you in the back.
His hand reached out, mindful not to make any skin to skin contact as he accepted the token, bringing it to chapped lips as his eye contact dropped to the scratches on the table. “It’s Eddie.”
You nodded slowly as you mulled the name over, though nothing was coming back to you so far. You were pretty sure you’d have known of him if he was this distinct to look at back when you were out in the free world. Then again, you couldn’t remember much of that world at this point, so it was easy to lose background faces in a sea of other stronger, more horrific memories. You gave your own name in return, a small smile flickering over your features. “Guess you better get used to shitty card games and even shittier food, Eddie. Seems we’re in it for the long haul.”
As much as you tried for it to come out as a joke, it didn’t seem to land. You could see him wince a little at your words, as if they burned his ears, or perhaps it was the truth of them that smouldered. It had been a long time since you’d had a conversation that wasn’t around pills or therapy plans, and it showed. You cleared your throat as you tried again.
“I mean, if it helps, you’ll be stuck with me for a long ass time,” you said softly, trying to keep the tone light though the words stuck to your tongue. “You’ll probably be getting out far quicker than I will.”
His eyebrows came together, a crinkle between them as he gave you a slight expression of confusion. You could tell he was about to ask a question, mouth open and words forming on his tongue, but the buzz of the intercom being turned on made him jump out of his skin. It was a whole body reaction; tensed muscles and eyes darting about, no doubt an inbuilt mechanism formed from something in his past that let him survive something. You put a hand up slowly, a signal to wait a second, nodding your head towards the glass panel of the Nurses’ station as Sanford announced lunchtime.
“That sound will happen a lot around here,” you mumbled as you stood up, finishing off the last deep drag of your cigarette and stubbing it out in one fluid motion. “You get used to it after a while.”
When you noticed he wasn’t moving towards the doors as you stepped away, you turned back with a kind look, bowing your head a little to meet his lowered gaze. “C’mon, stick with me, alright? I’ll show you around.”
For a moment, you remembered being told that your first day. You could almost hear your voice morph into that person’s, the one who showed you initial kindness, and could see yourself in Eddie. You were yet to believe if he was innocent or not. All you had was his word. But all he had was yours, too. Truth and lies were a currency in this domain, with blind trust that the more valuable would be exchanged. But, if you were honest, you felt the need to tell the truth more and more these days, the bitter taste of them on your tongue and threatening to swallow you whole. But truth needed to be given to those who earned it, and wouldn’t run off screaming to the nearest orderly that you’d finally gone mad.
And you just hoped that with the arrival of another supposed innocent, those truths would finally be shared.

Afraid- Ellie Williams (3)

Afraid- Ellie Williams (Part 3)
part 1 -> part 2 –> part 4
Summary: You and Ellie stay a bit in the cabin, and decide to play a game of truth or dare. Things indeed turn out in a weird way...
A/N: WHEN I TELL YOU I FORGOT I WANTED TO POST TODAY LMAO... Ty guys sm for the support on the last parts, I love you all. I adore you so so much and the fact that people are reading this story is just insane to me. THE NEXT PART WILL BE SO GAY- be excited. It´s gonna get all sweaty and there is gonna be lots of tension... but first- get your popcorn ready for this one. ENJOY!
Chapter warnings: mention(s) of drug use, flirting, idk.... bye!
"You gotta stop looking at me like that babe, or we both won't get any sleep tonight-"
I was staring at her. What was this fucking weed doing to me? I was no longer myself anymore. Which also made my mood swings kick in... "We should get going," I suddenly said dryly. Ellie's facial expression turned from flirty to serious and-did I see that right-disappointed?
"It's too dark for that. That's what I told you." I swallowed. If we didn't leave now, I was sure I would be making a big mistake.
"Ellie, don't act like you've never ridden back in the dark before. There aren't that many zombies around here anyway, are there?" I knew the answer. My question was unnecessary. I asked it anyway, simply to escape this situation.
"What are you trying to run away from babe?" Ellie whispered as she slowly leaned in closer and took another drag from the cigarette. I felt like my heart was going to stop. Those damn green eyes. I could get lost in them.
There must be a way time would pass faster then... I frowned and tried not to stare directly at Ellie. Running away now, I realized, was definitely a stupid idea-unless I wanted to die today. I again felt the urge to do something very stupid, the high not helping.
"Babe look, I know the sight of me is irresistible, but I'd still like an answer to my question. Unless you want to solve this whole situation some other way-" she said as she leaned in even closer. "I-" was all I could get out, this girl… where did all my hatred towards her go? I was probably red as a tomato and realized how I was nervously playing with my fingers. Suddenly it was hot. Very hot. Too hot-
"Okay- this is your fault. Truth or dare."
What? Was she serious? Or more like- crazy? Where did she get the stupid idea to play such a childish game? But however, the temptation to play it was there and it was huge, so I just nodded silently, immediately regretting it.
"Alright, I'll start…. Truth or dare?" asked the brunette in front of me, still holding the now very small cigarette in her hand. "Truth," I replied, hoping it would be an innocuous question. Ellie rolled her eyes playfully and shook her head. "Boring, but alright. Who was your first kiss?" Great. I could have guessed the questions would go in that direction. "None of your business," I said simply. And I was right. Why did she want to know such things anyway?
"Oh babe, you're really giving me a hard time right now," Ellie muttered as she finally flicked the burnt cigarette from her fingers, only to turn her gaze back to me. "Those are the rules. You have to tell me the truth. Now don't be such a chicken."
A chicken? I'd show her that I definitely wasn´t a chicken. "Fine. Liam. But only because I've never really had contact with anyone else." Wow- I couldn't believe I just said that… I was talking to Liam's killer about him, was I completely crazy? Yeah, but also high… whatever.
"Oh. Um- did you like it at least? So it was your only kiss too?" Even though the round was over and it was Ellie's turn now, I still answered her questions. "Well, I don't know, don't have anything to compare it to because yes, it was my first kiss and so far my only kiss. But now you- truth or dare?", I asked Ellie. She shook her head and contorted her face a bit, apparently surprised by my answer, before replying, "Dare. You know, ´cause I´m not a chicken." And there was that smirk on her lips that might make me want to jump onto her and-
"Mmm- interesting. I don't know- like, what am I supposed to say? Swap shirts with me?", I said with raised eyebrows. I really didn't know what I was saying anymore. At least this game kept me awake….
"Good one," Ellie said as she lifted her arms and pulled her sweater over her head. I couldn't help but stare at her. The tattoo on her arm, her hands, her accentuated belly- wow.
Ellie noticed my look and grinned again. How I hated it. "Your turn, pretty girl."
What- WHAT?! Did she just- without thinking any further about it I took off my shirt too and handed it to Ellie. She gave me her sweater and I pulled it over my head. I would have liked it better if we would have stayed like this- without clothes…
"Well now you again… Truth or dare," whispered the brunette across from me as she leaned down and put her hand on my knee. I felt my whole body start to tingle. I wanted her to put her hand away- or at least that was what my brain was telling me. My body, however, reacted quite differently.
"Dare," I couldn't take it anymore, something had to happen. The weed was doing things to me and Ellie was sitting in front of me with my shirt on and it felt like I was forgetting everything that had happened, what she had done, what was around us and what would happen the next day. I just wanted to- what did I want? I don't know. But I had the feeling Ellie knew exactly.
Ellie Williams POV "Dare" I heard her say, and immediately my heart started pounding. Sure, with truth you could ask intimate questions, but dare was something else again... Slowly, I moved my hand that was on her knee a little higher before looking deeper into her beautiful eyes. "Oh darling, you don't even know what you're doing to me right now…" Before I could lean in closer towards her to whisper what she needed to do, I heard an all too familiar sound in the distance. Clicker. Fuck.
your POV Did I just hear that right? Spellbound by Ellie's eyes, I shook my head to concentrate. "Is that- what I think it is?", I asked her in a shaky tone. The mood had changed in one fell swoop. Ellie stood up, dug in her backpack for her pistol, and loaded it. "From now on, you have to be quiet. No sound," the brunette ordered. "But Ellie-", I tried to argue, but the girl was quickly on her knees again and held her hand in front of my mouth. "You listen to what I say from now on. No arguing." And with those two sentences, I went quiet. Cautiously, I went to reach for my own gun, but Ellie shook her head. Was she trying to protect me now? Well, she did owe me a few things...
Ellie Williams POV She was known for one thing, she just couldn't stay calm. All the more I was surprised that she obeyed me. Probably only because she had not met the zombies that often yet and had a hellish fear. Normally she had patrol with someone else, in areas where there were really almost none.
Well, I thought there were none (anymore) in this area too, especially not in here, but I immediately realized that this was different, when suddenly I saw a clicker standing in the middle of the door. At least he was still away far enough, I had time to prepare for a fight. The bad thing was, I didn't know if there were more. This would mean that if I shot him, a whole herd would probably come running.
I looked down beside me to see her sitting there. Her hands were shaking and her face was pale, but she was still beautiful. Her hair fell in her face and brushed her eyelashes. She sat there, on the floor, so innocent- in my sweater. I could get used to seeing her in my clothes….
I was jolted out of my thoughts as the clicker kept coming in our direction. I raised my gun, trying not to make any noise as I got closer to him. Maybe I could pull the knife out of my pocket and stab him that way? But would this be so much quieter? I knew how these things could scream.
I turned around once more, and nodded to the girl sitting there so fearfully. I had to make a decision now. And so I decided to shoot. After two shots, the clicker was already dead on the ground, and stopped squealing.
"Get up, we have to get out of here," I said hastily. I grabbed my backpack and reached out a hand to help her up.
your POV Gratefully, I accepted Ellie's hand and clasped it to let her pull me up. I briefly felt a strange tingling sensation again, but it stopped when the brunette let go. "Grab your stuff, we don't have any time to waste. More of them could come in here at any time." I nodded and grabbed my bag and dark gray jacket, and we were already on our way out. It was snowing and definitely very cold. I wanted to hide my hands in my pockets, but I had to hold my gun. How smart of me to forget my gloves exactly today...
"Can you even fight?" Ellie asked. "Of course I can- why shouldn't I be able to fight?!", I replied indignantly. "I don't know," Ellie shook her head, "Never really seen you in action before." Great. Was I supposed to prove something to her or what? No. Was I trying to prove something to her? Hell yeah. "Alright. When we get back to Jackson, you and me. A duel. But at your house, I only have one room at Maria and Tommy's and there's definitely not enough room to fight" I suggested. Ellie grinned AGAIN and agreed with me. "Alright."
Slowly, we made our way to Shimmer and mounted up. From the looks of it, there were no clickers here anymore... luckily.
Now that we were both on the horse, we rode back. The whole way back we were both silent, but just before we got to Jackson's gate, I heard Ellie whisper a soft, "Please don't make her regret it," which I guess I wasn't supposed to hear. That's when it all came back to me.
We had almost kissed. We got high together and had played truth or dare. I was too tired to get worked up about it now, but I knew tomorrow-I would sink into shame.

A Poet Could Not But Be Gay — part 3
Tumblr media
Part 2, Part 1
Pairing: college!au Ellie Williams x f!reader
summary: You get ready for your study date with Ellie and you show her your favourite spot in the library.
word count: 2.6k
warnings: mutual pining, reader has no some rizz, anxiety, insecurity, English class, pet names, kissing
a/n: M (minors and men) DNI, please! I'm so sorry I've been gone for like a month but there was a little bit of shit in my life. Anyway, I've got a job now so that's fun and it gets me more motivated so expect more!
-------------------------------------
You were blushing like crazy. Ellie had called you pretty and you had unbashedly grinned back at her, not saying anything, just grinning and stumbling forward (almost bumping into a few people). It wasn't until she turned around to look where she was going that you turned your head to do the same. Your smile never faltered.
You practically ran to your and Taylor's lunch table to tell her everything that had happened in the last hour. Once you got to the dining hall, you saw that she hadn't gotten there yet. You decided to sit and take out your phone, not really paying attention to what was on it, choosing to day dream about tomorrow with Ellie.
Maybe she'll sit next to me instead of in front and she could hold my hand while we study and I'd move closer and the when we're getting tired I'll lean on her shoulder and she'll lean on my head! You were getting excited to see her again, fantasizing about everything that could happen. And maybe she'll tilt my head up and kiss me so good — I bet she's a great kisser — and then she would grab my hips and make me sit in her lap and her hand would—
"Hey girl!" your friend pulled you out of your thoughts.
"Hey!" you took a second to compose yourself as she sat down, "Dude I have so much to tell you!"
You started telling her about your first conversation of the day when she interupted you, "Wait, wait, when did you two become so friendly? I thought you had trouble even talking to her."
"Holy shit, I totally forgot! I was stalking her yesterday and then I liked her post so while I was freaking the fuck out she texted me!" You watched as Taylor's jaw dropped and you laughed as you happily gave her details.
When your classes ended, you found Taylor again and headed toward your car. You both got inside and your heart stopped as you gasped audibly. Before she had a chance to ask you what was wrong you whisper-screamed, "Taylor, thats her! Walking out the door. She's on her phone. Taylor she's so pretty please tell me you see her."
Without taking your eyes off of Ellie, you heard Taylor give a hearty laugh and say, "Fuck, I thought your were dying!" there was a pause, "She is cute though. If I was gay and single I'd totally be jealous." another pause, "Text her right now. I wanna see how she reacts." Just then, a short, dark-haired girl sat on the bench next to where Ellie had sat. "Quick before she leaves!"
"Ok, fuck you, gimme a second!" You pulled out your phone, opened the chat and started thinking about what to write.
you:hey! i was just wondering what time i should meet you at the library tomorrow 😊
You both looked up at Ellie, waiting for her to receive your text. Her blank expression turned into a smile she was clearly trying to suppress. You felt butterflies in your stomach at her reaction and looked down to see she had opened the chat too. When you looked back up, you saw her nudge the girl next to her and show her the screen. Her friend grinned and started talking to her, shoving her shoulder in a playful manner.
You couldn't contain the excitement from both their reactions and started giggling. Taylor looked at you and pushed your arm, similarly to how Ellie's friend had done. "That's a better reaction than I was hoping for, holy fuck! How do you feel?!"
"Like I'm on top of the fucking world." you replied through giggles.
***
You and your best friend went back to your apartement after you begged her to stay the night. You couldn't be alone with all the excitement, anticipation, and anxiety fighting in your belly. The night went by pretty slowly and once you started pacing, not listening to a single word Taylor was saying, she suggested you get your outfit ready for tomorrow. You agreed knowing that would calm you for at least a few minutes. You checked the weather for tomorrow and saw that it was supposed to be sunny and hot with almost no wind.
You were thus inspired and, always finding excuses to wear a skirt, picked out a pastel pink one you knew was flowy. You then dug through your drawer trying to find a tank top to go with it. Taylor watched as you pulled out a plain white tank top and grimaced.
"I like the idea," she started, "but it's too simple." She then started rummaging through the same drawer from which you'd fished your top. You saw her hold up a tank top you had never had the confidence to wear and you started shaking you head.
"Absolutely not." you said.
"C'mon! You'd look so hot in this one! Plus you wouldn't look like you tried 'cause it's still simple enough." she replied, grinning hopefully.
After some consideration, you let out a big sigh and whined, "Fineee! But if she laughs at me it's your fault."
***
The next morning, you were awake before your alarm. You tossed and turned, still fantasizing about how today would go. As soon as your alarm rang, you were up, jumping over Taylor to start getting ready. You ate, brushed your teeth, and packed your bag. You decided hair and makeup should be done after getting dressed, given that the tight top would likely ruin whatever you did to your face. You stared at the clothes you'd layed out yesterday.
"You're gonna look great! C'mon put it on, I wanna see it!" Taylor spoke, noticing your hesitance.
You put on the tank and skirt and looked at yourself in your floor-length mirror, taken aback by how much you liked what you saw.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You heard whistling from your friend and spun around with a shy smile on your face. Things are gonna go great today!
***
The morning went by more quickly than you had anticipated and soon enough, you were on your way to the library. Ellie had told you to meet her there at 1 so, at 12:45, you were already walking across campus. You had been waiting for a few minutes on a bench in front of the library when you heard Ellie call your name from behind you.
You got up to greet her but your breath caught in your throat. Her freckles were so evident in the sunlight that you could have melted right there. Being entranced by the beauty in her face, you almost missed the way her eyes looked you up and down not once, but twice. Thank you, Taylor, you thought. She seemed to compose herself and asked, "You gonna show me your special spot?"
Your eyes went wide and you blurted out, "What?!"
She chuckled and walked closer toward you, "You said you knew a place in the library."
"Oh," you sighed, slightly embarassed at what you thought she'd meant, "right, yeah it's inside." you looked up at her; you seemed to have no intention of moving.
"I figured," she laughed through her nose. She took your left hand in her right one and spun you so you were facing the building, "Lead the way."
You started walking, your hand stil in yours, and made your way into the air-conditioned library, past the long rows of books and into a narrow corridor. You looked back at Ellie when you reached a door and opened it, "Nobody knows about this room 'cause you're technically not allowed in here but I spent so much time in the library last semester that the librarian asked if I wanted to have my own room to study in. So now it's kinda mine!" you grinned up at her.
She looked around the room, noticing a whiteboard and a tv.
Reluctantly, you slipped your hand out of hers to take off your backpack. As soon as you did so, Ellie turned to look down at her hand with a slight frown.
"You weren't kidding about other people. Bet we don't even need to stay quiet in here." she said, closing the door.
"Nope!" You smiled, taking out your textbbooks and laptop, "One time, exams were really killing me so I screamed and apparently no one heard anything."
This made Ellie smirk at you. "Good to know," she said, sitting down in front of you. Damn, you thought.
As you opened your computer, you both received a ding from an incoming email. Reading it, you saw that it was your poetry prof sending you yet another assignment she had forgotten to mention. You groaned and threw your head back, not seeing how Ellie's pupils dilated at the sight. When you straightened your head, you saw her gulp and quickly smile before she said, "Perfect timing!" refering to the email you'd both just gotten.
"Oh absolutely" you laughed, moving to read the instructions. All the document said was, "Write a poem on something you admire/love in nature." You stared at your screen for a bit and then looked at Ellie whose eyes were glued to her own screen, her eyebrows brought together, and her lips were a little pursed. She was clearly deep in thought. The longer you looked at her, the more adorable her expression became to you. Her gaze eventually made its way to you and her face softened into a lazy smile.
"Still haven't learned, huh?" You shot her a confused look. "It's rude to stare, y/n."
You giggled, recalling your first interaction with Ellie. You looked into each other's eyes for a few seconds before you spoke, "When I stare at a flower, I don't do it to be rude, Ellie."
She looked taken aback at your comment, unsure of how you meant it. Before long, she said, "I guess you know what your poem is gonna be about then, huh? Flowers."
You smiled softly, shaking your head. "No," you told her, "just one flower."
She laughed an breath through her nose once more, "Cute."
You spent the next hour working on your seperate poems, occasionally sparing a glance at Ellie who stuck her tongue out in concentration. You compared her to the most beautiful flower in your poem, describing her strong hands as the firm stem that holds the flower high. Her freckles were dots of pigment on a pinkish petal, the pistil the colour of her copper hair. If you focused, you could see the petals had veins as green as her eyes.
"How's your poem going?" Ellie's raspy voice asked.
"I'm pretty much done," you replied, "just need to reread it I think."
"Can I read it?"
"Uh, sure, if you want to." You started turning your computer around but she stood up and sat in the chair next to you, dragging it closer to you than she needed to. You watched her face as she read your ode to her. You didn't know if you'd imagined it, but you coud have sworn you saw her blush and try to fight down a smile.
Once she had finished reading it she turned to you. You must have leaned in subconsciously while watching her because your noses were only a few centimetres apart. You could feel her breath on your lips and you had no doubt she could feel yours. She looked up into your eyes and let out a shaky breath, "How do you feel about this flower?" she whispered.
Blood rushed to your ears and you heard a low thrumming. You could feel your face growing hotter and your heartbeat increading. There were no words for how nervous you were at this moment but you knew you had to answer.
You reached your shaking hand out to stroke hers, "I like her a lot and —," you hesitated, "and I feel like I'd be lucky to have her." you whispered back.
Ellie raised her free hand to your jaw, looking down at your lips and smiling slightly as she looked back up to your eyes. She started leaning into you slowly as though she thought she'd frighten you with any sudden move. But you wanted her as bad as she seemed to want you.
You closed the gap between your lips seeming to stun Ellie, judging by her lack of movement. When she felt your hand trail up to her cheek, she seemed to snap out of it and started moving her soft, warm lips against yours. The kiss was soft but also sloppy. It was like you'd both been parched for years and this kiss was your first real drink of water.
You only parted to catch your breaths, lips almost touching, and you let out a breathless laugh, thinking you would stop there given the setting you were in. But Ellie wasn't done with you yet.
She snapped her other hand up to the other side of your face, tilting your head so your lips could meet again. This kiss was just as soft, but more urgent. You could feel your lips swelling after minutes of her kisses and, before long, she was biting your bottom lip. You gasped at the sting and she took this opportunity to slip her tongue in your mouth. There was no battle for dominance. There was only her and what she guided you to do. You felt her everywhere, even where she wasn't touching you.
When she pulled your hair, you were done for. Your lips parted and you whined at the loss. Fortunately for you, she was happy to kiss you elsewhere.
She left featherlight kisses all over your jaw and trailed down to your collarbone. All this left you breathless until you felt her sucking at your skin.
"Ellie..." you started softly, unsure of what you'd say next.
She pulled off of you to look into your eyes, pupils blown, "What's wrong, angel?" she asked, stroking your cheek with the hand not currently in your hair. You just breathed deeply in response, mouth open as if you were going to say something but not knowing what. Ellie knew you were already in too deep to make any real thoughts. She let her hand fall to the spot she'd been sucking. "Can I leave a mark right here?" she asked, her eyes never leaving yours.
"People'll see it." you almost whined.
"Do you not want them to see?" she pushed.
You hesitated before answering, "I dunno."
"Tell you what," she said, moving the strap of your tank top to the side, "I can leave a mark here. That way you can hide it and keep it just for your pretty self."
You were nodding before she'd even finished her sentence and her head dipped down before you were done nodding. You gasped as soon as her lips connected to your neck, losing yourself in the feeling of her soft lips and warm tongue.
Lost in the simple pleasure she was giving you, you tangled your fingers into her short auburn hair, accidentally pulling her off you. She managed to give a few more licks to your neck before letting go of your hair and kissing your lips softly softly, barely even touching you. She pulled the strap of your top back in place and smoothed out your hair. Despite her efforts you could feel the tangles in the back of your head but she seemed pleased enough.
"Pretty as a picture." she said with a soft smile as she leaned back in her chair.
You smiled back at her, "If I'd known this is where a poem would get me, I would've done it on day one." you laughed breathlessly.
"Well," she said with a mischievous tone, dragging your chair as closely to hers as possible, "we've got a little bit of time to make up for, huh?"

A Breath of Fresh Air
Summary: Seokmin had something very special planned for you today, wanting to spend your birthday and celebrate you as much as he could.
WC: 3.3k
Established relationship, food, very slight mentions of insecurity, as much fluff as I could muster in the span of 2 days (a lot)
A/N: This is the second part of my birthday gift to @seokmins! It's still 3/30 aka Elv day in my time zone so I'm not late yet. It's also a sequel to this post I wrote for Seokmin's birthday, but it can be read as a standalone. (here's the first part of her gift if anyone's interested!)
“Hey, wake up.”
You groaned, trying to roll away from the hand gently shaking your shoulder. Burying yourself into the pillows and blankets in an attempt to fortify yourself, you curl up into a little ball in a vain attempt to get more sleep. The shaking becomes more insistent until you finally give up and sit upright, squinting and blinking in the early morning light. Seokmin shone in the light pouring in from the window, and you would’ve called him an angel if it weren’t for the fact that he woke you up at (what you thought was) an ungodly hour. He smiled at you before leaning down to ruffle your hair. You groan again and flop back down in defeat, he was still an angel even if he did decide to wake you up so early anyways.
“Happy birthday my love, and good morning. I hope you slept well.” He chuckled, getting up to go to the door. “I made breakfast for us, please get ready soon because I have something planned for us today.”
The last sentence jolted you up, excitedly throwing off your blanket as you dashed toward the bathroom. You could hear Seokmin’s laughter as he went down the hall toward the kitchen, clearly amused by your sudden shift in attitude. You still take your time to get ready, eager to see what he was going to do for you but still wanting to make sure that you were prepared for it. You froze in the middle of pulling on a shirt though, a sudden thought entering your head. You think back to the date you went on for his birthday, remembering the promise you made to him. In exchange for being able to spoil him silly for his birthday, he could do the same for you on your own birthday. A part of you hoped he forgot, but another, more self indulgent part hoped that he didn’t. Well, you wouldn’t know until you found out what he’s going to do for you.
You practically skip down the hall to meet Seokmin in the kitchen, eager to start your day and see what awaits. Seokmin had a small arrangement of all your favorite breakfast foods, complete with the cute set of plates and bowls you bought once to ‘save for a special day’. And well, you guessed he could see why he thought today was one such day.
“So,” you drawled, sitting down next to him. “what are we doing today? Or am I not allowed to know that until we do it?”
“It’s a secret!” He grinned, causing you to scowl playfully into your food. “Aw, come on. I promise it’ll be good! If you’re still tired, you can sleep in the car. We’re going to be driving for a bit, so you have time for a little nap.”
“Oh? Say, if I asked nicely, would you tell me where we’re going?” You try to flutter your eyes at him, but Seokmin only laughs and pushes your face to the side a little so you aren’t looking at him like that anymore.
“Nope! So come on, let’s eat. We need to celebrate your birthday as much as we can, after all.”
You roll your eyes fondly and tuck into the food, relishing in its familiar flavors. He really did decide to get you all your favorite foods and you officially forgave him for waking you up so early because of it. You glance over at Seokmin, only to catch him staring fondly at you. He notices you staring back, and the smile he has only grows wider. Blushing slightly from the attention, you focus more on your food to fight down your self consciousness. He really was too sweet sometimes.
After cleaning up and being very firmly pushed towards the passenger side of the car, you embarked on your trip. Seokmin kept scolding you for trying to peek at his phone, telling you that looking at the directions won't help you with figuring out where you’re going. You eventually leave him be, letting him drive in peace as you stare out the window. It was still very early in the morning when you both left, and a soft quiet fell over the car. You press your face against the glass, relishing in the way the sunlight gently warms it, and you slowly drift away.
You wake up with a slight jolt as the car rolls to a stop, rubbing your eyes and slapping your cheeks lightly to properly wake you up. You didn’t recognize where you were, but it was somewhere outside the city judging by all the trees around. When you step outside to stretch, you’re greeted by a crisp breeze on your face and you take in a deep breath. Something about it was so nice and clean, untainted by the normal pollution you’re used to. You look over to Seokmin, who you’ve caught staring at you again with a bright smile.
“Good morning again.” He kissed you on the forehead. “How do you feel?”
“Honestly? I feel great. It feels like it’s been forever since I last went out to appreciate nature. It’s like a breath of fresh air, literally. Hey so, where are we, exactly?”
“We’re at a lakeside, a fair distance from the city. It’s known for having a really nice beach, and there’s a little pier nearby too! You told me once, a while ago, that you really wanted to spend time at a lake but didn’t have the time for it. So, I hope you’ll enjoy this now that you can.” He spoke the last part bashfully, rubbing the back of his neck slightly as he looked away.
Your jaw dropped at his confession. “Seok, that was months ago. How did you still remember that? Hell, I didn't even remember telling you that!”
If anything, he became more shy at your words, mumbling to himself slightly. “Well, I really wanted to make you happy because of how happy you made me, and so I wrote down everything you told me you liked or wanted to do.”
Tears welled up in your eyes at that, and you hugged him tightly. You were so overwhelmed with your fondness for him it was the only thing you could’ve done. He seemed a little surprised at the sudden gesture, but hugged you back just as tightly.
“Thank you.” You sniffled slightly, burying your face into his shoulder. “It means a lot to me that you would not only remember that, but do this for me.”
“Of course I would, you mean so much to me and I only want the best for you.” He gently lifted your face so he could wipe your tears with the edge of his sleeve and kissed you on the nose. “Now come on, let’s make this lake trip one you’ll remember.”
You laughed slightly to yourself. “Isn’t that what I told you when I took you out for your birthday?”
“Maybe.” He shot back teasingly. “But I fully intend to keep my word.”
Hand in hand, you strolled down to the water, watching other people milling about in the distance. It was nice that Seokmin brought you to such a large lake, the other people were so far away that you could spend time together without being bothered.
You both rolled up your pants and kicked off your shoes before wading into the water, shivering at the sudden coldness of it. Even though it was the end of March and spring was in full swing, it was still a little cold. It was refreshing though, and you enjoyed the coolness of the water and the warmth of the sun together as they worked in balance. You close your eyes and tilted your head up to the sun, the simple act of standing in a lake soothing you. You didn’t even notice that Seokmin had let go of your hand until you felt cold water splash on you.
Shrieking in surprise, your eyes snapped open and you whirled around to face the source of the water. Seokmin was crouched in the water, hands cupped under the surface of the lake in preparation to splash you again. Without hesitation, he sprung up and flung another handful of water at you with a cheeky grin on his face. Oh, this was war. You waded deeper into the water, ignoring the way it seeped into your pants as you became hellbent on giving him a taste of his own medicine. It was therapeutic to run around and splash like little kids, shrieking in delight as you both threw water at each other with all your might.
Eventually though, you both tired yourselves out and lied on the pier to dry out. Watching the clouds go by, you both made up little stories about what they were shaped like and why, laughing as you made increasingly ridiculous stories. Elephants and dragons began to dance across the sky, born from your joint imaginations. There came a point when the sun was no longer warm and began to scorch, and you both became hungry. You wondered if there was anywhere you could get food nearby aloud, and Seokmin only smiled at you before telling you to stay put so he could get something from the car. You watched him run off before sitting in the shade of a large tree, picking a nearby flower and idly twirling its stem between your fingers as you waited. It was a little daisy, its bright yellow petals and center reminding you of a tiny sun. And, more importantly, of the sunshine in your life.
The squeak of wheels alerts you to Seokmin’s approach, watching in awe as he lugs an icebox behind him. How did that even fit in the trunk without you noticing? He collapses next to you with a sigh, leaning his head on your shoulder. You wordlessly take the flower you had been playing with and tuck it behind his ear. Curious, he pulls it off to inspect it before smiling at you and putting it back. Neither of you say anything, the serene sound of the wind and the waves lapping against the shores of the lake filling the silence. The growling of your stomach couldn’t be ignored for too long though, and you helped him set up the food.
Sitting atop the icebox was a rolled bundle of cloth, and a beautifully patterned blanket revealed itself to you as you unfurl it. Smoothing it down on the grass, you sit on it while Seokmin hands you the food. Sandwiches, cut fruit, various types of chips, bottled juice, and water all came out of the box. Normally you wouldn’t like a cold sandwich, but it seemed pleasant now, especially since the peak of the sun was now hanging overhead.
“Where did you find the time to prepare all this food?” You laughed, popping a grape in your mouth.
“I’ve been working on this for a couple of days, Mingyu had been complaining about all the fridge space I was using in his house for the fruit and stuff on top of helping me prepare it all. But the sandwiches are fresh because I woke up early today to make them for us.”
You can only shake your head in disbelief. “You woke me up early today, and you woke up even earlier to do all this for me? You’re just too much sometimes.”
You say it all with fondness though, seriously wondering how you got so lucky to have someone like Seokmin in your life. You make sure to show your appreciation though, peppering his face with little kisses. He whines playfully, trying to push your face away. It only encourages you to come closer though, until you’re lying on his chest as he lies on the blanket below both of you. You cuddle for a moment, before you prop yourself up to look at Seokmin.
“Thank you for everything you’ve done for me today, I mean it. The breakfast, the lake, and now a whole lunch spread! If I had known that this was what you were planning for me, I would’ve done more for you for your own birthday.”
Seokmin only shakes his head, wrapping his arms around you and holding you close. “It’s what you deserve, and I mean it. You’ve brought me so much joy into my life ever since I met you, and I only want you to know the joy that you have given me. I just hope that I’m- this is enough.”
Your gaze softened at his slip of the tongue, you knew how he felt about himself even everyone, including you, supported him wholeheartedly. “You will always be enough, you are enough just by being you. Everything you have done can and will be enough, and I will always believe that. Now come on, the food’s going to spoil if we don’t hurry. I don’t want your hard work to go to waste.”
You both get up and start eating, enjoying each other’s company as you trade bites of different sandwiches and try to throw pieces of fruit into each other’s mouths. In the warm spring sun, sitting cross legged under a giant tree, you swore that he was glowing.
You made sure to help Seokmin pack away the remaining food but leave the blanket behind to lounge on, which mildly terrified you because you both ate quite a bit and plenty was left over. Mingyu sure was a force to be reckoned with when it came to food, you supposed. Neither of you were sure of what you wanted to do next, but the flower tucked behind Seokmin’s ear kept catching your eye. You looked around quickly, trying to confirm something. Sure enough, a large patch of them were growing nearby, and a sudden idea came into your head.
“Hey, do you want to learn how to make flower crowns?”
Sprawled out on the blanket, you both watched a couple of videos on how to make them before deciding you were confident enough in knowing the process to do it correctly. You delicately picked a couple more flowers for the both of you, and got to work. As it turned out though, it was just a little harder than either of you expected, and you felt a little bit guilty for all the stems you’d accidentally crushed. But with determination and sap stained hands, you were able to successfully make a flower crown for Seokmin. He truly did look like sunshine incarnate with the little daisy crown and the single one behind his ear, and you took a quick photo to show him.
“Hm, I think I look rather dashing if I say so myself.” He joked. “Like some sort of fairy king, with a crown created by the hands of my beloved partner.”
“Alright King Seokmin, come back once you’ve sprouted little wings and then we can talk.” You replied sardonically, putting your phone away with a small smile.  You were definitely going to make it your wallpaper when you got home.
“If I am a king, then I need someone to rule with me. So, I have one for you too.” Seokmin presented his own crown to you, just as clumsily but lovingly made as yours.
The crown felt feather-light on your head, and you reached up to brush your hands against the petals. It was Seokmin’s turn to take a picture of you, and you both indulge yourselves in taking many pictures together. You had to admit, you both looked adorable together in matching crowns, the slowly setting sun casting you in a light golden glow.
You looked up at the sky in shock, unaware of how much time passed until you looked at the lighting in the photos. You turn to Seokmin, who seems to have come to the same conclusion you did. He picks up the blanket you’d been laying on and shakes it out, brushing off the stray bits of grass that linger.
“Do you want to set this down on the pier and watch the sunset together?”
You smile brightly at him, half snatching the blanket out of his hands. “You don’t even have to ask.”
There was still a fair amount of time left before the sun would set properly, and so you both sat in silence to watch the scenery. The way the golden light of the sun streaked across the leaves of the trees on the other side of the lake looked like the pinnacle of spring, the chirping of the birds and the breeze rippling across the water accompanying it. You leaned against each other, huddling slightly as the day got slightly cooler. Seokmin wraps an arm around you, helping you stay warm as you press yourself against his side. Soon enough though, the sun does set, and you can only watch in silent awe at the way it dances on the water. Glittering like a thousand diamonds but infinitely more luminous, your heart feels as bright and warm as the sunlight itself and you couldn’t ask for anything more.
When dusk falls and the sun’s light fades into the red-purple glow of twilight, you finally get up again. Walking off the pier, blanket tucked under your free arm as you swung your intertwined hands, you felt that you had a perfect day. Squeezing Seokmin’s hand tightly in yours, you hope to express all your love and gratitude in that simple act. And when he squeezes his hand back in response to yours, you look at your linked hands and smile up at him.
There may have been a bit of a dispute over who would drive you home, considering that it was a fair bit of a drive back, but you won out in the end. Seokmin spent so much time setting things up and he woke up so early for everything, and you said as much to him. He relented, your argument too airtight to fight against, and he contented himself with watching you lovingly as you drove home.
Seokmin did a good job of staying awake though, because he knew he wasn’t done yet. The shower he took after you both arrived home and put the remaining food away definitely helped with keeping him alert so he could give you one last thing for the day. He was a bit disappointed that his last surprise would be ruined though, he was more than sure that you had seen the little box on the bottom shelf of the fridge with your favorite bakery’s name on it. But considering everything else he had done today, he still counted it as a win.
You at least pretended to be surprised when you sat in the living room, the lights dimmed so he could bring out the cake he bought. The candles flickered excitedly as he moved, slowly approaching you as he sang to you. You’ve always loved Seokmin’s voice, especially when he sang, and it was just that much more special to you when he was the one to sing ‘happy birthday’ to you. You practically lunged at him when he was done and set the cake down, hugging him with all of your might. He really was just way too sweet to you, and you just didn’t know how to properly convey the depth of your appreciation to him. You didn’t care that you’ve been doing this essentially for the whole day, you were filled with that much love for him. So you simply continued to crush him in a tight hug, feeling him laugh against you at the ferocity of the embrace.
Both of you were worn out from the day’s activities though, and you couldn’t ask more than to spend the rest of the night cuddling and eating slices of your favorite cake with Seokmin. A few slices and some episodes of your shared favorite show later, neither of you could keep up with what was happening on screen and wisely chose to go to bed properly before you both fell asleep on the couch. As you both cozied up under the covers of your bed, you became intertwined once again, like the flowers of the crowns that hung in a moonlit window to dry.

Part 2 of my AU sparkling is finally here (bruh, i just forgot to post it, lmao). This time, here are facts about Ace and Vita
If you don't know about this AU, you may read the comic there(PLEASE SEE THE TRIGGER WARNINGS AT THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE READING)
Also you can read this too to know about these sparkling more
Tumblr media
*After joining the autobots’ side, Breakdown had found out that he actually had much in common and befriended Bulkhead and Wheeljack, then the former stunticon became wrecker. Knockout instead of working as a medic or field doctor became a plastic surgeon, which he had dreamed to be for so many cycles.
*Ace, who craved journeys and adventures from an early age, was amazed by an idea to become fearless and cool like his sire and his friends. Vita, who loved taking care of her brother after he got in trouble, soon was inspired after hearing a lot of Bumblebee’s stories about Earth including Rescue Bots academy and wanted to join them. She made this choice not only to prove by herself that former decepticons had nothing left of their former ideology, but also to know much more about Earth’s culture. However, moving there will be a big blow for her family.
* Ace has a dream of having a journey on Earth like his sister does. There young mech is planning to visit the places where Team Prime was, meet the inhabitants of that planet and, of course, have a safari and a ride on dunes in deserts.
*Their family is quite friendly. They like to spend their time together, for example having a ride in different places, listening to rock music, watching human cinematography and other family stuff. Speaking of movies, Knockout and Breakdown haven’t decided yet on when they’re gonna show their sparkling Tom Six’s trilogy and similar films. Although they still are okay with classic horror movies from the second half of Earth’s twenty century and action films.
*Surely, the creators also can be busy with their work from time to time, however their autobots friends can gladly look after their sparklings, even the bitlets themselves like to spend time with them, especially with Arcee and Bulkhead. Young mech and femme like to race listening to powerful rock with the wrecker and imagine themselves as a rock-musicians, the two-wheeled is just pleasant to them like a bot and treats them like they would be her own sparklings, she’s ready to protect them in case of something dangerous happen. And of course, to answer with pleasure their questions about Megatron and Starscream, especially about the last one.
*After hearing so many stories of Team Prime’s adventures on Earth and how they fearlessly fighted decepticons, the ex-cons’ sparklings had got a wish - to learn fighting. No one minded, autobots frequently used to teach bitlets different battle techniques that might be useful for them in future
*Strangely, Ace likes to sometimes have oil bathes for a long time and polish his scratches to clean himself up and relax after his adventures of a day
*Vita and her brother, surprisingly, are a bit good at singing. The red femme thinks that her quiet singing can help her to calm down her patients in future, but to be honest, sometimes she can let her riot nature out and sing as loud as a true rock-musician. Ace also likes to imagine himself as a drummer.
*Vita is a lesbian, although she doesn’t very much like the romance and movies of that theme. Anyway, the young femme doesn’t deny that she wouldn’t mind finding a sparkmate at once. What about Ace, although the blue sparkling either is uninterested at romance, he’s probably bisexual

I’m a little more than halfway through OOO now, and I wanted to do a little write up of some of my thoughts that I haven’t already put in other posts, so here it is!
I am completely and utterly amazed at how good this show actually is. When I rewatch an old show, especially a show that I have a lot of nostalgia for, I usually try to keep my expectations low (and that goes double for a show where I’m not the target audience). However, OOO, somehow manages to almost be better than I remember it. A big part of that is I’m watching it now knowing how the show ends, and I can clearly see how much foreshadowing there was. Stuff like Eiji and the purple Medals or Date knowing who Eiji is are brought up pretty early and continue to get hinted at throughout the show. One really big example is Ankh mentioning in EPISODE 2, that he can taste things now. It seems like a completely innocent, throwaway line, but when you know what’s revealed later about the Greeed it just hits you right in the heart ;__;
I was a bit surprised at how much I had forgotten about the show, but that made rediscovering those things kind of fun. One major thing is Eiji having that I’m-pretending-to-be-stupid-but-I’m-actually-two-steps-ahead-of-everyone aspect of his personality. It’s a trait that makes him into a really entertaining main character.
Speaking of characters, the big stand out for me this time around is Gotou. I didn’t notice him as much the first time because he’s a lot less flamboyant compared to the rest of the cast, but now I really love his character. It’s cool how he starts off bitter and entitled, but then when he has the opportunity to get what he wants (being Birth) he turns it down because he has to stick to his morals. Then he goes through a dark, hopeless period before working his way up to finally becoming Birth. It’s just such a great little character arc, I can’t wait to see it all.
Also (and I probably forgot this because OOO was my first Kamen Rider show and I didn’t know any different) it is very amusing to see some of the characters fight Greeed/Yummies with real life weapons. Like, Gotou whipping out a rocket launcher or Satonaka dual wielding handguns when she shows up to bring the final core medal for TaJaDor’s debut.
We cannot talk about OOO without talking about the one and only notorious birdman himself. I remember when I first watched OOO I felt like Ankh was the kind of character I would have created when I was in middle school. Having rewatched a good chunk of the show now, I can say that I agree with past-me 100 percent. Ankh is, like, the perfect blorbo. If you opened the dictionary and looked up “blorbo” there would be a picture of Ankh, and he would be looking very pretty in it. He’s like if a group of top blorbo scientist gathered together and decided to build the perfect blorbo with the most blorbo-y of blorbo traits. All with the main goal to blorbo-ify the entire world.
With that being said, Ankh is also absolutely terrible. And I love it. I remember him being pretty selfish, and I was preparing for the fact that I probably had a nicer, fanon-ified version of him in my head, but, woooow I was not quite ready. Still, it makes the show just that more enjoyable. He stirs up a lot of drama and it’s great.
For a quick aside, it’s also been neat to go down the Internet rabbit hole and see how many other roles Miura Ryosuke has had in the last few years. It looks like he found his niche in musical theater, and has been involved in a lot of anime-to-stage adaptations (did you know there’s a Fist of the North Star musical? I sure didn’t!). The Black Butler fandom seems to have embraced him, and I hope the JJK fandom enjoys him as their stage Gojo.
Finally, I don’t have too much to say about him, but I absolutely love Date. I couldn’t wait to get to his episodes, and all of his focus episodes (the Kendo girl eps, the LOVE-LOVE-LOVE combo eps) have been my favorites so far. He’s so much fun.
Overall, I’m so glad that I decided to rewatch the show. I was kind of hesitant because it’s hard for me to watch TV shows these days ( and I’m still rewatching Zexal), but it’s been so wonderful to re-experience OOO again, especially after what a gut punch the 10th anniversary movie was. I can’t wait to watch the rest!

Birthday Surprise-part 2: Horatio Godkin x Arabella / Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: It's a few months later after getting meeting and making it offical with Horatio Godkin. Your gal friends take you on a trip to Paris where Horatio discovers his true and secret feelings about you. When you return from the trip, Horatio and you decide to take things to the next level in your relationship
A/N: This is once again heavily inspired by Thomas Doherty's 'The Inventor's Apprentice' spicy Quinn audio / ASMR(ish) series he did a few months back. If you know... you know ;) ;)
I applogize if there are any spelling or grammar mistakes in this.
*
A few months later… A lot of persuasion and convincing happened from my handsome king, who just so happens to be my boyfriend. But because of my eagerness and readiness for love, Horatio and I ended up buying the cottage together, in which he and I first met.
It was more of his idea, but still. I couldn't pass up the opportunity. I'd be foolish to let that go.
Falling in love with Horatio Godkin was like an out of body experience in a way. He knows every element of romance and most definitely has the romance factor in him.
He always knew how to woo me, really sweep me off my feet, of course while being gentle. His kisses always tasted either of red wine or the goldest of honey. The way he grabbed hold of me as his hands either snaked around my waist or thighs, always winning my full, undivided attention as my breathing hitched.
That is something I've never experienced in a relationship romantically before and it had me desperately wanting more and more of it, and Horatio of course.
*
Making up for lost post belated birthday time, Shay had organized a girls trip for us and today was that very day.
Shay ended up getting a luxurious hotel room in Paris. Something I never expected but honestly was excited.
I was bummed however because I couldn't bring Horatio with me. It was a girls trip, which meant boys were not allowed. I really wish I could change the rules haha.
"These three days will go by real fast. And before we know it, we'll be back together again, right in each other's arms" I reassured Horatio, gently rubbing his arm for a moment.
Smiling softly at me, he anchored onto my arm while pulling me close to him just a bit.
"You go on, go have the best time, darling. I'll be right here waiting for you when you return" Horatio leaned into me and planted a kiss on my forehead.
"I love you, my handsome king" I whispered softly to him as our heads touched.
"I love you too, my precious queen" Replied Horatio softly too and we quickly shared a kiss that I wanted to last forever.
After saying bye to my gorgeous boyfriend, and getting on the plane along with Shay, and Celeste and off to Paris we went.
*
The entire trip to Paris was incredible. The sights, the views, literally everything! Pretty much, the whole time there was spent by each of us doing spa and shopping spree days, and sightseeing the entirety of Paris.
Oh yeah! I Almost forgot to mention that Celeste and I kept in contact after the birthday cottage situation a few months back and are already the goodest of friends.
Celeste has a bubbly personality and she's always cheerful, can make you smile and laugh, and she's understanding and honest.
I love her and I'm so happy that we became good friends. And it's also wonderful how Shay and her became good friends too, we're all now like a happy trio of friends and I love that.
It was our last night in Paris. Celeste, Shay, and I were gathered together in the living room area in the hotel, painting each other's nails as the room was dimmed slightly with candles that flickered through the room.
"How's your Scottish lover doing, Ella?" Asked Shay, letting out a giggle or two. Instantly making me blush.
"He's doing great. We talked a little earlier and can't wait for when I return home. Horatio always knows how to send a shiver down my spine" I replied while sticking out my tongue.
Shay's eyes widened a little and squealed softly, "Oh my gosh! That is adorable. But you know what this means right?"
Only having a few ideas by what my best friend meant, I raised my eyebrow in slight confusion and giggled when Celeste chimed in too, joining the fun.
"Pleaseee tell me you know, sweetie!" She beamed with pleading eyes, while leaning toward me a little, placing her hand on my shoulder.
"I don't know? What do you two have in mind?" I asked, pretending not to know just to see their reactions.
"He's obviously going to want to make out with you and make love to you when you go back home" Celeste admitted while laughing softly and as her hand remained on my shoulder.
"She's right, bestie! I mean if you say that Horatio knows how to "send a shiver down your spine" that automatically means that he's in the mood and wants to take you away" Winked and giggled Shay as we all giggled simultaneously.
My face turned as red as a tomato at this point even though that's exactly what I knew that my friends were going to say.
"You two are so funny. I don't think that will happen...yet anyway. Would it really be a good idea for two people who literally are still getting to know each other, but yes are dating, to snog one another so soon?" I asked in a giggly tone.
"Come on, girl! You know you want that. It's not a bad idea at all" Chirped Celeste as she rubbed my shoulder.
"The way you've been talking about him, it almost seems like you're madly in love with this guy. I'd be surprised if making out with him wasn't on your list, just admit it already, bestie" Shay giggled and gently shook and nudged my other shoulder, opposite of Celeste.
Widening my eyes once more as my face grew hot again, making me cover my face with my hands as my mind screamed from the inside.
Once I calmed down, my two lovely friends and I finished our nails and let them air dry as we watched movies and ate snacks for the rest of the night.
"Oh! If that does end up happening, I'll be sure to let you two know!" I giggled while winking at them as they giggled too.
"We can't wait for that, girl!" Celeste smirked as Shay nodded her head in agreement.
*
Meanwhile, back at home. Horatio had been keeping busy by writing and journaling.
Lots and lots of journaling.
Writing about things that brought him joy and happiness. That includes me, but I didn't know that yet.
He was sitting in his office that he made in the cottage. His leg was crossed over his other leg and held a pen that had a light feather at the end of the tip of the pen. His elbow rested atop the table as he scribbled his thoughts on the paper in the neastest of cursive.
Horatio's pov in his journal
The private journal of me,Horatio Godkin.
Entry number 5:
"Two months have gone by. Two wonderful months that have been spent with a beautiful, exquisite, and soft to the touch young woman who I've gotten to know.
I thank whoever in the universe who brought her and I together. The incredible Arabella Bellamy. She's not like the others who have entered my life, and that's a good thing.
Arabella is independent, compassionate, funny, and completely full of life and love.
My heart had definitely been set on her from the first time we met, in a lovely cottage by accident but I always call it a good coincidence.
At this moment in time, my darling Arabella is gone. On a vacation with a few friends, for gals only as it is said. She deserves time with her friends. A time away from her life.
I can't wait to spend time together again. I miss my precious Arabella. In more ways than some.
I hadn't seen her, not truly seen her yet of what I had hoped for us to arrive in our relationship, as the photographic images of what I envision danced around and on the inside of my brain until that moment.
Like looking through a prism, dazzled by the kaleidoscopic images, the rainbow illusion coalescence until suddenly there's only her
As the beautiful, blossoming new found romance in which she and I have discovered, it has also made me discover my deepest darkest true feelings about her.
Nothing in my past, or future I wanted to keep hidden. I wanted her. I needed her. I dreamed of her taking me away, I wanted her to strip me, straddle me, laying me bare and plunder every part of me, for anything she wanted.
I wanted her to own me as I hope she felt the same way about me."
~end of entry
*
After a long but peaceful plane ride back home, Shay, Celeste, and I made it back from Paris.
It was really early in the morning when we got back, our plane was scheduled to leave at night via Paris time, which meant when we got back home in the states, it was already and about to be night / early morning here.
I had contacted Horatio before boarding the plane and after we landed, just to keep him up to date with everything.
He told me that he would keep a look out for me at our cottage and there for me when I come back, which already made me blush and my heart raced just thinking about it.
"Thinking about your lover over there, Ella?" Asked Celeste while taking a glance at me through the above rear view mirror in the car.
Glancing up at her while widening my eyes a little from the back seat of the car as the darkness from the outside came and passed through multiple times.
"Oh my goodness, can you hear my mind from the inside, Celeste?" I giggled as did she and Shay too.
"Don't worry, bestie! We're almost home and there you can let loose" Said Shay as she playfully winked at me, and then giggled more.
"Bestie woah! Haha. Can we all just stick to having a regular conversation for about one minute?" I playfully asked.
Shay and Celeste laughed with me and understood what I asked and that was exactly what we did, even all the way till we reached my house, excuse me, Horatio and I's house.
*
"Thank you for such a wonderful time and experience in Paris, bestie! I had a blast and I am super duper happy you were able to join us, Celeste!" I chirped while smiling the biggest smile.
"Aww why of course, bestie! Anything for you! I'm really happy that you enjoyed your time. We definitely need to head back again soon!" Replied Shay as she turned around to face me in the driver's seat, also smiling the biggest smile too.
Celeste turned to face me while sitting in the passenger's seat, smiling ear to ear, "I had a blast girlfriend! It was dreamy. The three of us need to do that again soon sometime!"
We all agreed and nodded our heads after what Celeste said. I then said my goodbyes and farewells after getting my suitcase from the car, with the help of my bestie, as Celeste stayed in the car but rolled down her car window.
Shay and I hugged and told each other that we'd text each other later and talk more throughout the day. The same was said with Celeste too.
Shay got back into the car with Celeste and patiently waited and watched me make my way inside before they drove away.
I took a few steps toward my lovely cottage home, my suitcase wheeled a few feet behind me atop the semi loud pebbles and rocks that rested below my feet, and suddenly I was stopped in my tracks when the click of the front door was heard and Horatio appeared.
*
I could feel my heartbeat faster, my face was becoming hot again, and a big smile splashed on my face, as did Horatio.
He quickly ran from the front door step and ran straight over to me and instantly wrapped his strong arms around me, bear hugging me and lifted me up off the ground a little as I hugged him back, and as I gently wrapped my legs around his waist and legs.
Spinning me around and swaying back and forth a little. Shay and Celeste watched the entire encounter, causing them to say cute and funny things out loud from where they were sitting in the car.
"Aww!!!" Was what echoed through my ears coming from my two girl friends. Causing Horatio and I to giggle as our foreheads gently rested against one another for a moment.
Still being held by Horatio as my back was now facing the girls, as Horatio stood behind, lifting his head up and waved while giggling more straight ahead at Shay and Celeste.
They waved back and then said bye to us again and drove off, finally letting Horatio and I have alone time again.
*
As we continued to stand still outside for a few minutes more, we engulfed in each other's love and company, whispering to one another, "I'm so happy that you're back, darling. I missed you so much!"
"I missed you so much too, love. I am really happy to be back with you!" I whispered back to him as he quickly pecked the tip of my nose.
"I hope you had a wonderful time" Horatio whispered as he kissed my cheek, causing me to blush.
I nodded my head slowly and kissed his forehead, "yes"
He nodded his head and hummed softly for a few moments while tightening his hold around me just a bit more. "Mmm that's good to hear, my love"
There was a silence for a moment but not for long, "I need you, Arabella. I want you Arabella" he whispered to me, but in a soft yet husky deep tone. Sending a shiver down my spine
"I'm all yours, Horatio. Instruct me on what I need to do, what you would like me to do" I replied softly as I gently rubbed the back of his neck.
"Thank you, my love. I will but first let's get you settled in first" Whispered Horatio as he quickly kissed my neck and then took us inside our cottage, quickly closing and locking the front door on the way in.
Thankfully, there wasn't that much I had to do like unpacking wise. I simply placed my suitcase to the side in Horatio and I's bedroom and then took off my shoes and jacket and then joined him on our shared bed.
We cuddled with each other for a few minutes. Horatio then slowly began to sit up, his hips nearly sitting atop of me as he rested his head on his hand.
"May I give you another massage, my darling queen?" He whispered as a smirk on his face appeared.
Smiling and giggling at his question, I immediately nodded my head and booped his nose, which made him giggle adorably.
"Of course you can, I live for your massages" I winked at him before leaning forward and pecking his lips.
Before I knew it, I was in his trance and only listened to him as his hands delicately moved up and down the surface of my back, immediately relaxing me as I closed my eyes and relaxed in his touch.
"Here I go, all the way up. As my fingers glide delicately across the skin on your neck" He whispered as his fingers did exactly that, causing me to flush on the inside once more.
Seconds after he did that, I wanted to step it up a notch, mainly for him and see what would happen. Make him feel the same way he made me feel.
One of my hands began to snake around from behind and gently rested atop his thigh, just barely reaching anything off limits, but hey, was that really the case?
Me doing that surprised him, but in a good way. His soft chuckle echoed through my ears and leaned towards me again, planting soft kisses on my neck.
Shortly after that, I turned my body around to face him fully, practically sitting in his lap at this point. Him and I both smiled at one another as he gently pushed me closer to him, his hand gently sprawled out on my back.
"Are you ready for this, my love?" He whispered softly as I again nodded my head,
"Yes I am. Are you?" I asked softly too. Horatio, tilting his head as he chuckled
"Always, my love! And don't worry, I'll be gentle. Or at least try to be haha" Horatio leaned in and pressed a kiss to my lips, which I gladly kissed back.
The fun was unleashed and the adventure had just begun to unwind…
-end of part 2

I hope you all enjoyed the read. I adore Thomas Doherty so so much and all of his tv and movie characters. Writing stories of and about them is something I've always loved and enjoyed to do. Writing a story of Horatio and turning it (the story) into a mini series was something I've always wanted to do, espcially after hearing those Quinn audios! They are *chefs kiss*.
I don't think there's any other Horatio fanfics on here or anywhere (please let me know if there are! I need more of him lol) I think it's cool that I might be the first writer of a Horatio fanfic. And I will see you in the next one <3

Fanfic writer ask game: 5, 7, 12, 37!
Happy fanfic writer appreciation day, friend!!!
5. Share one of your strengths. Northern asked the same question! hahaha I dislike listing my strengths why must you do this to meeee. I said characterization for northern, for you I'll say dialogue. I have a lot of fun writing dialogue, and have been complimented on it before so I think it comes off well, at least for the characters I know the best (Aang and Katara).
7. Share a snippet from one of your favorite pieces of prose you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.
Aang’s grief was ever present. Sometimes it pressed in from all sides, suffocating him. Sometimes it just sat on his shoulder, reminding him through every council meeting that he was alone. The only one wearing orange and yellow. The only one with arrows. The only one.
He had lost so much; nobody would really blame him if they knew. However, Aang carried his burden quietly, behind a mask of joviality and gentleness. Not that Aang wasn’t jovial and gentle, but so many saw this and forgot about the heavy sadness sitting just under the surface. Only his closest friends could see the slips of his mask. The clenched fists under the table in response to an insensitive comment, the twitch in his eye from losing sleep trying to somehow preserve his lost Nation, the momentary disappearance of his signature grin when a memory of them broke through, reminding him that they should still be here. That it was his fault they were gone.
This is the beginning of my fic Hopeful Again (rated E), and my biggest Aang's-grief exploration to date. I am proud of it because it really sets the stage and the emotional threshold for the rest of the fic. I poured so much into this fic and I'm still really happy with how this whole fic turned out.
12. Is there an episode above all others that inspires you just a little bit more? Ooooh this is a good one! Does the whole first half of book 3 count? hahaha. The Awakening, The Headband, and The Painted Lady have SO MUCH good character development that I draw from repeatedly in my writing. I guess, though, if I have to pick just one, I would pick The Serpent's Pass from book 2, because I have written entire FICS based on that scene of Aang and baby Hope and his and katara's conversation afterward, so... hahaha.
37. Talk about your current wips. Oh, friend, there are so many (sobs in open, unfinished google docs). I have 7 open wips at the moment, ranging from zero words of prose/just the base idea to multiple unpublished chapters written. The big one is obviously Unspoken, Undeniable (rated T)--my multi-chapter fake dating kataang AU. I also have the next segment of Explorations (rated E) in the drafting stage, an almost-finished smutty labor induction fic I promised sometime last year, a kainora and katara fic/ficlet idea, the mixed-race cloudbabies fic, awkward museum fic to fulfill a @kataang-prompts idea, and a part 2 to A Noble Predicament (rated T) in which Aiza and Katara meet in person. There are too many to talk about hahaha but I will say that you will definitely like the next chapter of Unspoken, Undeniable when I post it next week, since we'll be getting ready for and going to the birthday ball! I also might need to start differentiating the fic between ffn (rated T) and ao3 (rated M, possibly, for now) because of a couple sentences of implied solo activities... Still nothing explicit so I haven't decided if that is where the line is or not. There WILL be a bonus spice chapter at the end on ao3 that won't be included in the ffn version, but... yeah I don't know, hahaha.
Thank you so much for the ask, choco!

First stop Paris
After a long 24 hours travel I finally arrived in Paris. Before even stepping off the plane I was already thinking about my next move and how to get to where I need to be - not the best for the anxiety but necessary.
This is the first time I've travelled solo and it was daunting. I second guessed myself at every turn. Not only was everything new it was in a completely different language. My skill in guessing came in handy when trying to translate french to english 😂
Catching the train out to my accommodation was easier than expected and I'm so glad I chose that instead of settling to take a taxi.
There weren't many sites to see along the train but that was ok because I was too focused on where I was going. Getting off at the local train station and immediately seeing the Eiffel Tower really hit home I was on the other side of the world - alone.
It was only 9.30am so I checked into my Airbnb, had a shower and a nap then went out to explore at 11.
I didn't know where I was going but as I started walking I headed straight for the Tower. I only planned to walk around it but it was only 1pm and although the wait time to get a ticket was an hour, I had nothing else planned so decided to line up.
The shear size of it took my breath away, I forgot how beautiful it was. I ended up waiting in line for 2 hours and spent a total of twenty minutes walking around the platform looking at the view. The elevator ride up was the worst part and I took the stairs down to avoid it at all costs.
The view showcased the vastness of the city as the buildings stretched as far as the eye could see. The most beautiful part was the golden Mosque in the distance. After the tower I wandered back towards home and had lunch by myself for the first time. I felt a little awkward but the staff were nice and I had a delicious fajitas bowl and mojito.
I wanted to continue on my adventures but I was so tired I went back to my Airbnb for a rest and ended up falling asleep at 6.30pm.
Next day was all about the Louvre! Spending 3 hours there was not enough but I couldn't last any longer. It was amazing and the art took my breath away. The ancient Greek sculptures were beautiful, I can see why it's such a tourist destination. My favourite place in Paris.
Post Lourve there were many more monuments to see. I walked to Notre Dame which was still under construction but the parts I could see were still beautiful. I didn't really know where else to go so I followed maps that took me past old French buildings to the Pantheon which was beautiful but I'd seen enough old buildings and headed for the local park - Le Jardin Du Luxembourg. It was pretty with a wonderful statue in the centre but it felt dry and barren.
I walked back to my Airbnb to look up where I was going next. I don't have much of a plan and that's thrown me because there's too many choices. The first way I mapped out took me to places I've already been and that felt like a bit of a waste. So I reorganised and hit redo on the whole thing. Stress levels high I looked at it all for about 3 hours and before I knew it, it was 8.30pm - still broad daylight.
I wanted to see the Eiffel Tower lit up at night so I went for a wander to find some food and the right spot before sunset at 10pm! There were so many people around it was insane. I walked around the tower's gardens then went out and across the road to view it better. It twinkled in the sky without it being dark yet. Had to stop on the way home for a quick photo with it.
Packed up my belongings to get ready for my trip to Brussels tomorrow

Time Flies
Kids, now I know you have been following this adult rated story now about how I met your mother, but truth is, we had so much fun the last few months and grew together, I forgot to keep up with the blog.
I think last time I spoke, Crystal and I were not really seeing each other and hating every minute of it. School started and then, everything changed like when the Fire nation attacked. But really, everything would lead up to late October. We will see why later.
But school had started and I was determined to find and woo Crystal into becoming mine as she had left to take care of her husband who had been severely hurt, realizing she loved me. It would get worse before it got better at FSW too, as I was in hot water for reasons still unclear to me.
I was going to therapy once a week ordered by FSW and Crystal was struggling not being a part of my life once I had to leave campus. Other students, community members, and of course me, would do what we could to convince Crystal she should do what makes her happy.
We were rocking though as you came into my side like a super hero as soon as I needed you. Picking up the slack for the clubs, keeping the students in-line at school, and working on a conference with me.
As things got harder towards October, we both were at our limits and found strength in each other. You were still coming by and seeing me, we would laugh and enjoy each other, planning away at a future that seemed so far away. Having almost secret meeting at the Collaboratory and thinking about how we can just be better.
Prior to this we had attended a conference in St.Pete that would be enjoyable, charming, and test our compatibilities. It was the first time I drove you like for real, and I remember Elliott puked in the car. I used my shirt to clean it, as you scrambled to find a vape pen after cleaning it at the gas station because you weren’t feeling well yourself.
That conference was amazing, the hotel was amazing, and being with you was amazing. Making decisions with you has been efficient, seeking solutions has been simple, and managing emotions has been easy as each day strikes us. I know that I put all my love in you that night and enjoyed every bit of Checkers. I also enjoyed learning with you and watching you work your magic for the free red team book or getting to tease you about Elliott wanting to dance with the exotic dancers. :)
I know that when we got back that you continued to search for hope at home, you had struggles, deciding to move back in with me, even bringing the cats. You settled them in 2 at a time, the second time asking for a divorce again, and having Jarret bring the cats over with you as I watched Elliott.
My shoulder burns again recollecting the memories of how I have ended up happy in this moment, missing you as you visit a friend in Panama City, oddly enough also working Java programs.
You keep asking about the puppy love and losing you, but I don’t know how to tell you that I’m here and in it. I keep saying it because it’s true, I want you. Only you, forever and always because the excitement is too good, the love is too pure, and results strung together by being together is something truly magical.
If you ever thought my capacity to love you more couldn’t grow, I assure you that it has and will continue to if you let it. I think I’m healing with you as well, something from the desire to not be sick, or weak, or struggling for you.
Kids, I think Crystal was ready to move in, especially over the last 6 months, yet despite this post only looking at a small part of what happened between August and September. Let me tell you this though, when you let a person in and your walls down, a beautiful thing happens that the rest of the world is missing out on, like a sweet innocence that is only found a few times in life between a few people.
I’m happy with what we have now Crystal, some things need fixing, some things let go, and changes made, but for the most part, I just want to be with you and to continue down this crazy thing called life.
I hate not having you here, or being around you, or getting to talk to you. I hate not having you here to call mine. I’ve asked you to be with me in a forever kind of way, and you said, yes just wait. But for the sake of the post, I must ask you again darling, but Mr. Stark, would you let me be your Pepper Potts and marry me?

After the Sun #1: The Chinese App Developer
Yes, I am re-starting my counting system. After every significant relationship (or non-relationship relationship), I will count from 1 again to see how long it takes for me to get to the next significant guy that will stay in my dating life for awhile (or forever, maybe).
And so far from what I’ve gathered, I need to meet at least 25 guys before meeting someone significant in Toronto. Cause in Melbourne, I think it took me about 10 guys before I met my Crazy Rich Asian Ex. Maybe even less. Actually let me count (again, because when I did last time and typed up part of this post, I forgot to save the draft, ugh). Ex was the 7th guy I believe, but I dated up Guy #11 in Melbourne before I went back to my ex and committed to him.
When Mr. Sunshine and I ended, I pretty much went back onto the apps the day of or the day after. As I am typing up this blog post, it’s been about 2.5 weeks since the “breakup”. I have met two guys. One I will meet again soon but first, let’s get the first guy out of the way.
When I matched with the Chinese App Developer, I had him on my Hinge list for awhile (which I kept for the day that Mr. Sunshine and I stopped dating, and this was the day). He was a normal looking guy. Though in one of the photos, it looks like he had a bit of a cleavage because he wore a v-neck t-shirt and there was a shadow cast. But either way, not terrible looking.
We texted back and forth maybe about 4 times before he asked me out. Great, I'd rather meet the guys ASAP instead of wasting my time texting to only find out 2-3 weeks later we are not compatible at all.
We met up at MeNaMi, an Asian fusion restaurant that has some good food. The moment I saw him, I immediately knew I was not interested in him. He had that Asian uncle look to him. Which, I don’t know how to describe except when I look at him, he looks like someone my dad would be friends with. And that is not the vibe I am going for. From the hair to how he was dressed did not help his case at all. He technically did not “dress old”, but his face definitely required a lot more of a modern haircut and fashion to look like he’s not… 40 years old with a kid or two in tow. He’s only 35-36, so not too old but damn, Mr. Sunshine is 36 and he still looks hella young (some Asian genes pull through).
Upon introduction, I was surprised that he had a slight accent. I couldn’t tell based on the text that he was an immigrant. He came to Canada from China in 2015 and told me that he wasn’t that Asian at all. Based on the stories he told me during the date, it did sound like he adapted to Canada quite easily and was very open-minded, which I liked. The conversation got better with time because he was easy to talk to and we were able to connect easily. However, I unfortunately was just so unattracted to him physically, that his personality did not help in this case (which normally would if I was on the fence about the guy’s appearance). He even told me that he felt I was tense at the beginning when he first saw me and tried his best to make me feel at ease. That was him sensing that I wasn’t interested in him lol.
The date itself was alright. I learned that he is currently an app developer and has worked for at least a couple of start-ups in Toronto. He apparently did well for himself back in China but he wanted to get out cause he felt like he couldn’t move up any further from what he was doing. He dated a Latina and white girl. The Latina wanted to get married ASAP and he wasn’t ready (I think dated for a year or two, could be wrong). And the white girl he dated for a few months to 8 months (again, I could also be wrong), which ended because she was very insecure and constantly questioning his whereabouts even if it was innocent like hanging out with friends. That is about as much as I can remember about the dude lol.
It ended up pouring outside towards the end of the date. I decided to take up on his offer to drop me off at my car even though I really planned to walk.
I could tell throughout the date he was interested in me. But probably by the end, he could sense I wasn’t into him since there was no follow-up after the date itself. He was a nice guy with a nice personality, but sadly, it was a no from me.

Snippets from The Disappearance of Amamiya Ren: Part II
Part I is here.
Part Two:
It’s an exhausting three months that follow.
Akechi Goro wakes a free man years after the rest of the world had forgotten he even existed. The former detective is shaky and confused when he wakes. The nurse, when Sojiro speaks to her, reveals how strange the boy’s return to the world was. Dead to the world one second, blinking awake and rasping a reply in a conversation only he knew the next.
“He was saying something about someone being sentimental.” The nurse tells him, face pinched as she peers into the hospital room where the gaunt man is being coached through small exercises by his physical therapist. He has a long road ahead of him getting back muscle mass and balance he lost while laying stationary for so long. Sojiro doesn’t envy him the coming months.
The nurse meet’s Sojiro’s glance with a soft, uncertain expression and he knows she’s going to tell him something that’s going to break his heart even more than it already is.
“He asked where Amamiya-San was, kept saying they had just been talking.” The nurse looks equal parts apologetic and sad, her gaze a little misty as she speaks.
Ren had been beloved by the staff at the long term care facility. A fixture as present as any doctor, nurse or orderly. He visited Akechi every single day he physically could since highschool. Spending hours speaking to the comatose boy or reading aloud to him - sci fi and fantasy, mythology and folklore, occasionally even the Arsene Lupin series, though Sojiro’s a little unclear on why that series specifically. Ren would comb out Akechi’s hair and trimming the slowly growing scruff on the unconscious man’s chin, make sure his nails were kept trim and neat. Akechi was the most well cared for patient in possible all of Japan, from the way the nurses tell it.
Ren never told Sojiro that he was in love with Akechi, but then he never had to either.
Actions, Sojiro felt, said far more than words ever could.
The nurse clears her throat a little, her voice still heavy as she says, “I think he remembered hearing him, while he was in the coma.”
Sojiro pretends his own eyes aren’t watery and gives a soft, sad sigh. His grey gaze turns to Akechi - looking pale and weary after only a few minutes of small, carefully movements with his arms and legs - and feels a heaviness in his chest. A pressing weight that has been there since he got that first call, since the moment Ren disappeared.
When they’d come to the hospital to see him - Sojiro, Futaba, Sae and, surprisingly, Ann - the first thing the former detective had done was furrow his brow in confusion, eyes tracing over each apprehensive face carefully. Sojiro remembers the silence that choked the room, the heavy uncertainty from both sides as to just how they were meant to handle this situation. Remembers the way Akechi’s eyes narrowed as he weakly turned his head as if to look behind them.
Then there had been that rasping sound. A voice unused for nearly a decade, worn thin by the exhaustion of being part of the waking world so long.
“Where is he?”
Like it was impossible that Ren would be anywhere else when Akechi Goro had clawed his way back to the conscious world after nearly a decade.
Sojiro understood that disbelief. It was just as impossible a concept to him and the rest as it was to Akechi that the dark haired thief would not be there. Would not have already made camp in the hospital room and started making plans of living arrangements and therapy schedules and a future that had once seemed impossible. How could Akechi come back and Ren not be there?
Ren who hunted down specialists and research that might possibly be able to pull Akechi back. Ren who had never given up on Akechi, no matter how many people told him he should. Ren who never loved anyone half as much as he did the boy he met so many years ago.
That Ren wasn’t there when Akechi had finally come back...that more than anything made Sojiro afraid.
---
“There’s something going on with the Amamiya case.”
The news is...disturbing. On more levels than one. Sojiro frowns as he stares down at his coffee, rolling his unlit cigarette in between his fingers as he considers what he’s being told.
It’s been a little over half a year since Ren’s disappearance, and they’re no closer to finding him than they were the day the news broke. Just a gaping hole of an organization that by all accounts didn’t exist and the distinct lack of any sign of Ren. When one of his old friends who still worked in CIRO called, Sojiro had been hopeful that there was news. A lead, a clue, hell he’d take a ransom letter from a foreign agency at this point so long as it meant some clue as to just where he’s son is. It’s the uncertainty that’s killing him, the not knowing just what he’s fighting against to get Ren back.
It’s not a lead though. Instead the news his friend gives him is...unsettling. Ominous really. The kind of news that speaks of something big at the horizon, a threat of a storm nastier than what they can really weather.
“They’re forgetting.” His friend says, her voice hushed and strained. She sounds like she’s locked herself in a broom closet, hunkered down in a corner like a child afraid her parents might find her up after bedtime. “I was checking in with Shibata to see if he had any luck looking into that lead I told you about -”
Another wild fox chase they’d uncovered. A collection of documents that supposedly held Ren’s itinerary for his time being loaned out. Sojiro had discounted the idea as soon as he heard it - shady organizations, in his experience, didn’t do itineraries - but had asked that the likely dead end be followed up anyway on the off chance that it gave them something tangible to chase. Shibata was one of the newer faces running around, fresh on the job as Sojiro was leaving but a good nose for investigation from what Sojiro had heard since.
“And when I asked him,” his friend continues with her strained whispering, “He had no idea what I was talking about. Thought I was asking about a new case at first and then that I had lost my mind. And he’s not the only one.” There’s a noise on the other end of the line and Sojiro listens as his friend goes quiet.
For long seconds she doesn’t even breathe It sets Sojiro’s teeth on edge, being forced to wait and listen to the stillness on the other end of the line. After a moment he hears the soft shush of a tense breath being slowly released after being held for too long. He’s thankful for the sounds, it helps remind him that he can stop holding his breath too.
“They’re all forgetting Amamiya.” She whispers, voice shaky. She was always one of the good ones, steady in the face of every disaster Sojiro had ever seen her face. Whatever is happening, it’s bad. Bad in a way that he has no idea how to face on. “It’s like the kid never existed at all. I even checked records and nothing. There’s nothing showing he ever worked for us. That even existed.”
He sits on that information. Worries at it like a loose tooth. He tells the kids and watches them sink their teeth into the information. It’s a little like watching piranhas devour their meal.
Akechi is still hospital bound. One day in a coma equal to one week in recovery, one doctor tells him and he knows from the determined look in Akechi’s eye that the young man has taken that as a challenge. He spends his days unable to join in the more physical aspects of the chase, but uses all the strength he has to offer up his ideas. His mind is still as sharp as ever, though he does look helplessly young and disoriented at times when he thinks no one is looking.
He still insists he was speaking to Ren before he woke up.
None of them have the heart to tell him outright that they think it’s just wishful thinking.
A few days after his call with his old coworker, Sojiro calls her back looking for an update on some of the leads she’d found. She’s less tense than before, voice warmer and louder, and he can hear the buzz of the offices around her.
She doesn’t recognize the name Amamiya Ren.
She only just remembers that she was helping him with something, but her voice drifts and she wanders to other topics of conversation whenever he tries to ask her about it. When he presses her about his son they slip into a loop in which she never quite grasps what he’s talking about. They speak in circles for ten minutes before there’s a pause and she asks him, pleasant and vague, why he’s calling.
He thanks her for her help and hangs up.

You deeply groaned as you fluttered your eyes open. This was not a great time to wake up. You really wanted another hour of sleep, but you knew you had work to get done today.
You looked behind you. You smiled at the sight of Wilbur in his sweet slumber, his arm lazily draped over your waist. Wilbur very much loved to be in bed with you. If he could, he would spend all day there, just you in his arms and some soft lofi in the background.
That was something very rare to get. Being a streamer and musician, Wilbur was busy almost all the time and rarely took a day off. Mornings and nights were dedicated to you. However, there were times that you would stream with him, or stop by the office to give him food, but nothing was compared to waking up with him.
“Oh shit,” You whispered, “We’re supposed to do morning vlog today.”
You looked around for Wilbur’s camera, which was no where to be found. You settled on stretching over to nightstand and unplugging your phone. You looked back at Wilbur to make sure he was still sleeping. You could tell he was by the gentle raise and fall of his chest and subtle “Ah-woo”. You just knew that was the perfect way to start the vlog. You recored him for about ten seconds of him doing his ‘not really a snore but definitely something’ and giggled almost the whole way through.
You would think that after living with him for two months and the multiple sleepovers that you’ve had with him, that you would be used to it by now. But even today you still giggled just like you did when you first woke up with him.
You snuck yourself out of bed and made your way to the kitchen. Once arrived you did the intro, “Good morning chat! It is currently about 6:30 in the morning, and as you realize, I am the only one awake. As you saw, Wilbur is still sound asleep and that how it is every morning. So we’re going to vlog our morning routine today, which I promise is way more interesting than the nightly routine vlog. So, Wilbur is literally the best person ever and deserves the world. And his world, besides me of course, is his morning coffee. So I’m going to use our Keurig to get his coffee started.”
You stopped the recording and decided to get some of your creativity out. You weren’t musical like Wilbur and can't draw for shit, so videography was your way of being creative. You set your phone the in the corner and opened up the blind to let a little bit of light through. It still looked basic so you moved your plant to the background, which added the perfect look. You started brewing and hit record.
While that was going, you measured out the creamer and syrup and grabbed your sippy cup for your chocolate milk. No judgement here. We all know chocolate milk tastes better in sippy cups.
The brew came to a slow stop and you grabbed the camera, “Wasn't that a satisfactory angle chat? Now, I am more of an iced coffee person, so in the morning I have water or chocolate milk, and today is definitely a chocolate milk day.” You raised your cup to the camera and fake ‘clinked’ it, cutting the recording when it was closest to the camera. You finished up making Wilbur’s coffee and set it on the living room table.
You looked at the time, 6:50 am, now was a good time to get Wilbur up. You always let his coffee sit out for a little bit, that way he could drink it the second that he woke up. You threw some napkins under your drinks and moved another plant over there. You wanted your place to look aesthetically pleasing, even if it was a little bit staged. You did a transition with your cup, this time now on the table.
“Okay chat, we all now mr. simpbur is a snuggler so we don't have breakfast in the kitchen, instead we share on the couch, that way we can get all of our snuggles in before he has to leave for the office. I have everything set up, normally I would prepare breakfast too, but I feel like cooking with Wilbur this morning. We’ll do this about once a week for some bonding time, so let's go get him up,” You decided to keep recording, just in case Wilbur woke up from your loss of presence.
You creaked the door open, Wilbur was still asleep. He adjusted his body for that he was hugging a pillow, who you assumed was your replacement. You laid down next to him and just took a moment to admire him. It was moments like this that you forgot that you were internet personalities. This was you. This was Wilbur. Both of you living your life without needing to exaggerate yourself. This was Wilbur at his purest form. He was all relaxed, not even aware that he was being recorded.
You scooted closer to him and intertwined your legs with him. You brushed his bangs with the back of your hands and gently placed your lips on your forehead. He stirred a little bit, but not enough to wake him up. You took the pillow from him and wrapped your body around his, “Wilbur, my love, it's about seven, you need to get up.”
You could tell he woke up by him pulling you closer and burying his head only you neck. You gently massaged his head and twirled his curls between your fingers, “Come on Will, I got your coffee made already. We need to start breakfast.”
He shook his head and kissed your shoulder, “Mine.”
You laughed, “Yes Will, and ‘yours’ is hungry, let’s get up and eat.”
He slowly nodded and pulled you closer, “Mmmm... I love you.”
“I love you too, simpbur.”
He snapped his head up at the nickname and saw the camera, “Fuck-that’s today?”
You giggled and detached yourself from, “Say good morning to chat.”
He shook his head and buried it in his pillow out of embarrassment. You stop recording and put your phone on the stand. Just seeing Wilbur all flustered was enough to make you go back to bed. You laid back down with him and pulled him on top of you.
“We’re gonna have to re-record that part,” Wilbur mentioned.
You rubbed his cheek with your thumb, which he happily leaned into, “No bubs, we gotta keep it in. It was a very cute moment.”
He shook his head aggressively, “No! That was embarrassing!”
“Too bad, it’s on my phone so I get to chose what goes in.”
He huffed and grabbed your hand, accepting defeat, “You said you made my coffee?”
You two got up and sat down on the couch. Wilbur took you into his arms the second he took his first sip, his personal way of saying ‘thank you, you’re the best person to ever exist’.
“What are you feeling for breakfast?” You asked.
“You,” Wilbur joked, kissing your temple.
You gently pushed him, “No actually, I really want yogurt, so pick something that goes well with that.”
“Can we just make a fruit plate?”
You excitedly nodded, if it wasn't for Wilbur, you would not be eating healthy. He really made sure that you were going to live as long as he did. Neither of you could live without the other. If something crazy didn't happen to you, you were going to die from a broken heart.
Wilbur grabbed your phone and started recording, “So um, good morning chat, I’ve had some coffee and more awake now. What you just saw- no you fucking didn't. We’re on the sofa right now and we decided on a fruit plate with yogurt this morning, trying to be a little healthier considering we had ice cream at one am last night. So we’re gonna make that off camera, because if you guys get us to six million subs, we’ll do a cooking stream!”
“Oh we are now?” You questioned. “I was never told about this.”
Wilbur laughed and kissed your temple, “Well you know now, that's good enough innit?”
You shook your head and placed your hand over the camera, Wilbur stopped the recording. You go the fruit out while Wilbur prepared the sink for rinsing and knives for chopping.
You made the plate look all nice and took it back to the couch. Wilbur placed his arm back over you and grabbed the remote with is free hand while you centered your phone.
“Okay chat, we’re gonna eat and watch tv for a bit, then you're gonna get ready with us. Wilbur has a test shoot at the office today, so we gotta make him look all pretty and obviously personal hygiene is a must... so yeah, brb.”
You two set up another game show to watch, it sorta became your go to show. Especially because there was no storyline and you could talk when you wanted. This was a pretty chill morning, you two enjoyed each other's presence.
When you finished up, Wilbur took the dishes and you went to the bathroom and cleaned up a little bit. You heard Wilbur go into his closet, so you started recording, “Okay chat, last thing we do before he leaves is actually get ready. Wilbur is getting changed right now so I’m gonna brush my hair out. I can get a little aggressive with the snarls and Wilbur always thinks I'm ripping my hair out so I always do it when he's not around to make sure he doesn't get worried.”
You set the phone in the corner and set it up to record a time lapse. You heard off in distance some light pop type of music, so you knew that Wilbur got his speaker out.
“Are you playing copyrighted music?” You called.
“It’s released Lovejoy!”
You smiled, you always got giddy seeing how happy Wilbur was able to make himself with his own music. You set your brush down and started to wet your toothbrush, Wilbur slid into frame, already jamming out to his own music.
You covered your mouth with your hand stifled your laughter. Wilbur laughed with you and tugged on your waist, trying to get you to dance with him. You aggressively shook your head no, you hated dancing. You would think by now that you would be used to Wilbur and his random dance breaks, but you never came around.
You looked down in shame as Wilbur attempted to get you to spin around. Once you made it clear that you were not in the mood to dance, Wilbur turned down the music and waddle over to the counter.
You grabbed the camera, “If someone wants a very tall British man, you can come get him. Warning: not fun dance outbreaks.”
“Oh come on now, y/n!” Wilbur wrapped his arms around your waist and placed his head on yours, “Stop pretending like you don't like to dance.” “You know I hate dancing,” You reminded him.
“Well chat, apparently I’m not allowed to have any fun in the morning? But anyway, that was a joke, but- we do really have to get ready. Should we do this Disney Channel style?”
You laughed and shook your head, “No, I think I just want to make sure you don't miss your meeting.”
“That’s at nine! We have time! Please let me have fun with you! It’s going to be such a stressful day!” He pouted with the cutest puppy dogs eyes.
There was no way that you could say no to him, “Alright, what fun we having?”
Wilbur said nothing and prepared his toothbrush like yours, “Last one to finish brushing their teeth has to do the dishes tonight.”
You hated dishes. You were winning this one. You didn't even wait for a countdown. You instantly grabbed your toothbrush and turned on the water with lightening speed.
“What?!” Wilbur yelled. “That’s not fair!”
You did your best to bump him away, but it literally did nothing. Both of you were laughing very hard but Wilbur quickly caught up. You both fought with your hands, trying to cup a decent amount water. You both managed to get the water into your mouth and you turned to face Wilbur, it came down to who could rinse the fastest. You two just stared at each other, wishing the water around. You were dead serious. You were not doing the dishes tonight. Wilbur kept flaunting his hands around trying get himself to go faster, which ended up in him completely breaking out in laughter and spitting all over your face. It took you by surprise and all that you could you do was laugh to yourself, you eventually spit the water out in the sink, raising your hands in victory.
“I am so sorry, love!” Wilbur took your hand and guided you into his arms, gently running his hand up and down your back, “I didn't think that would be that hilarious.” “It’s okay,” You laughed and looked back in the mirror. You were completely drenched shoulder up, “It was fun. Better to happen to me than you, you look really nice today for the shoot.” “Thank you,” Wilbur blushed and turned you around, “I think that is enough recording for today. All that we have left to do is leave so... thank you for watching! Subscribe now and remember, cooking stream at six mil! Bye guys!”

Ushijima
You were having the worst week this week,  from battling a cold and your boss making you do all sorts of extra jobs (that were definitely not under your job description.) As easter was swiftly approaching you and Ushijima had your annual plans of going to the local kids community center and helping them with an easter egg hunt. But you don’t think you can manage it this year.
Ushijima gets home from practice with 4 bags just filled with easter eggs ranging from all different sizes, “woah there Toshi, you’ve got enough there too feed all of england” you laugh
“I don’t think these eggs will be able to sustain England Y/N” he says seriously making you laugh even harder. As you were laughing, you felt another migraine come along making your cringe in pain. “Toshi, I don’t think I can do the easter egg hunt this year?”
He sits down next to you alarmed that something is wrong, “why what happened Y/N” he asks
“I’ve been feeling terrible all week, and I even have a migraine right now” you say to him thinking he would understand.
“That’s it?” he questions thinking what you said was a joke “I think you can handle a migraine, remember we’re doing this for the kids”
His words were making you feel slightly guilty since maybe you were being over dramatic. “Y/N if it’s really ‘that bad’, i’ll make you some tea so you can feel better,” he says going into the kitchen to start on your tea. You murmur a quiet “thank you” and you end up falling asleep, hoping that by the time you wake up your head stops pounding.
As you wake up, you realise you slept all the way through the night and over to the next day as when you look at your clock it says 12:32 pm. You look at your nightstand and saw that Ushijima wrote you a note saying:
Y/N I've left out early to set out the easter egg hunt, I’ve made you breakfast so eat up and get prepared for the event which starts at 4pm. Please don’t forget.
Sincerely – Ushijima Wakatoshi.
You chuckle at the fondness of the note, before realising your pain. Your brain felt like it was having a live concert inside that definitely was not going to end soon but you still got up prepared for the day. You didn’t want to let Ushijima or the kids down.
When you go to the kitchen , you see the cute breakfast that Ushijima made you consisting of all of your favourite foods and with another simple note of him saying ‘ I love you. ‘ Ushijima has always been a lovely boyfriend, treating you like the queen you are always making sure that you were okay. Of course, his bluntness and his lack of social cues was something to get used to but when you did get accustomed to it, it only made you fall in love with him more.
You got ready, feeling even more sick as the piping hot shower that you usual have, did not help as when you were showering you felt heavily faint. However, you persevered since you did not want to let Ushijima down.
You finally were prepared to leave the house, with the community center being on 15 minutes walk away you were leaving out at 3:50pm since you were planning to take your car anyways. When you leave your home, you realise that you forgot your car keys so you dash up the stairs (a bit too quickly) to go and find them. Scrambling through your draws, your head is pounding harder and harder and the more it pounds the quicker your moving making you even more faint. You eventually find your keys and you’re ready to zoom to the community center but your body gave out and you pass out tumbling down the stairs landing at your front door.
Ushijima was waiting outside of the community center waiting for you to arrive it was 4:05pm and he was wondering where you were (knowing that your place was only a 10 minute drive away) he sent you a few texts asking where you were but when you don’t respond Ushijima becomes slightly annoyed, plastering a fake smile on his face and entering the community center, starting the easter egg hunt.
The easter egg hunt came to a close at 8pm and Ushijima assumed that you would’ve showed up some time in the middle of the event, but you obviously didn’t show. After making sure that all the kids left safely Ushijima decided to call and text you more and when you continuously don’t respond and your calls go to voicemail he says ‘Y/N, im really disappointed with you right now. How could you do this to me? You said you would show up, the kids were really upset, how could you be so selfish?’
He walks to your house knocking on the door, but when you don’t immediately answer he knew something must be up now, since you haven’t responded to any of his texts and calls and didn’t show up he figured there was something deeper then you just ditching the event.
He used his key to open the door, surprised when the door hit something. He tried again hitting the ‘object’ that was laying at the door again. He carefully pushes the door to make enough room for him to fit through the gap. When he entered, he was startled at the sight of you, there you lay completely knocked out with a blood stain next to your head. He knelt down next to you and touched your cheek you were extremely cold, he had to get you to a hospital stat. He called an ambulance, panicked. Worrying about how long you’ve been out for since it would have to be atleast more than 4 hours he assumed.
You woke up in a foreign room, with your head slightly stinging. You place your hand on the back of your head and wince, then you remember you need to be at the easter egg hunt so you bolt up ready to move.
“I don’t think that’s wise for you to do that Y/N” Ushijima says to you
“Toshi, what happened?” you ask still in pain
“It seems you fell down the stairs and hit your head” after he said that all your memories come flooding back, and you remember rushing to the community centre, looking for your keys, and then falling down the stairs and everything going black.
“I’m sorry Ushi for missing the easter egg hunt, I really tried to get there,” you say with an apologetic look on your face
“It’s fine Y/N of course you wouldn’t of been able to get there after falling down the stairs” he says “Also, this is proof of why you shouldn’t run down the stairs”
You eventually get discharged with the doctor telling you all you need to do is rest and stay off your feet. Ushijima took the doctor's orders very seriously, becoming your loyal servant and waiting on you hand and foot, tending to your every need. He did also make you were eating healthy and taking all your medicine so you could have the best recovery possible.
Also, after realising that this could’ve all been avoided if Ushijima didn’t guilt trip you in the first place for having a migraine, he made sure to never ignore or dismiss when you say you are ill or have anything wrong with you even if it’s a migraine, a lost limb or a simple paper cut.

Bokuto
The Olympics were coming up and Bokuto couldn’t be any more excited than he already was. Everything he’s talked about for the past month he manages to find a way to relate to the Olympics, and as annoying as it got sometimes you were just as excited for it as much as Bokuto was.
Bokuto was heavily busy with extra practices so you were bored and lonely, since your boyfriend was at practice all the time so you chose to take up a new hobby. You decided to paint, although you weren’t an award-winning painter you still found joy in it. Being Bokuto’s girlfriend you had some slight unwanted attention on you: the usual fans of Bokuto that just followed you to have an extra aspect of him in their life's, or his fangirls that adored him.
You didn’t mind the fangirls for the most part since majority of them were pretty tamed and did fawn over your relationship. However, there was the minority of fans that did make it known to you that they DID NOT like you at all. When you started posting your paintings, it seems their hate for you amplified since they always found the need to leave an astray of mean comments on your post. But that didn’t mainly bother you since you thought that they only had that energy behind the screen.
The days went by getting closer to the Olympics, with Bokuto always asking you every day “Y/N you are coming to my games, right?” to which you always replied “Of course Kou, I’m coming” which always made him smile.
When the Olympics came, you’ve went to all the games cheering Bokuto and the team on as they were winning round after round. Whilst this was going on, the group of girls that were sending you horrible messages and making mean posts about you weren’t stopping. At first, you didn’t care for them but it seems their posts only gotten worse making comments about your artwork, your face, your body type ect.
You didn’t want to tell Bokuto as you felt that it would ruin his Olympic momentum and you thought you could handle it all on your own.
It was nearing to the final game of the Olympics, and Bokuto was ecstatic he made sure that you promised you’d be there claiming that you was his ‘good luck’ charm.’ You were excited to go too, the feeling of watching Bokuto play was exhilarating seeing him fully in his element was great for you to see.
On the last game day, Boktuo was already at the stadium since him and the team had to be there earlier to practice and you planned to meet him there just before the game started at 4:30. You went to a florist before the match getting Bokuto the biggest boquet that you could buy.
On your way to the stadium you here somebody whistle from behind you, you turn around and see a group of girls waiting behind you smirking. “Hi?” you say more like a question then a statement “do you want something from me?”
Some of them laugh, but the one standing at the front who you mentally lable the ‘main one’ steps closer to you and says “We want you to stay away from Bokuto” you realise that these were the girls sending you hate online for these past weeks.
Before you can even blink, the girls jump you, hitting, kicking and clawing at you. You are in pain, screaming and crying for them to stop and leave you alone. You lay there, letting them beat you up thinking that you’ll probably end up dead out of this. All you can think about is Bokuto, you didn’t get to wish him good luck, or give him your flowers (that you spent a fortune on) or even tell him that you loved him one last time.
You think the girls eventually stopped but you couldn’t tell because your body was throbbing and you hurt all over. You tried to get up still wanting to go to the match but you collapse going out cold.
Bokuto was scanning the crowd over and over for you, hoping to spot you there. But he couldn’t, he was wondering where you were getting sadder and sadder by the second since he really believed you were his good luck charm and he probably wouldn’t be able to win without at least seeing your face once.
They didn’t win. Bokuto knew he wasn’t playing at his best, since all his mind was on was thinking about where you were. You’ve never missed one of his games, so he was incredibly worried. After he accepted his second-place medal, he rushed out the stadium to go to your house but he was stopped by some fangirls ‘I guess signing autographs is the least I can do’ he thinks, the fans were being a bit odd today but he didn’t have time to focus on that as his mind was racing thinking about you and your whereabouts.
One of his fans did give him an alarmingly big boquet of roses which he appreciated ‘these must of cost a fortune’ he thinks. Although it was a probably a long shot, he decided to ask the fan if he saw someone who looked like *whatever you look like* to maybe see if someone else saw you. Which the fan replied “yeah I saw them with some guy at this restaurant whilst we were going to see you!” they exclaimed.
‘A guy’ he thought ‘that most likely wasn’t you.’ Seeing Bokuto’s confusion, the fan followed up with “I'm pretty sure it was her I mean we all know who Bokuto Koutaro’s girlfriend was.” Bokuto didn’t reply just walking away making sure to thank them for the flowers.
He was rushing towards your house on foot (since all the taxi’s and ubers were fully booked because of the Olympics) whilst running he stumbles across your passed out body all black and bruised with scratch marks and bleeding all over you. “what happened” he whispered, knowing you obviously weren’t going to respond.
He picked up your near-dead body, and cradled you in his arms taking you back to the stadium (since he knew that getting an ambulance to come here or running to the hospital would basically be impossible.) When he got back to the stadium, he did get odd looks from strangers but he didn’t care, his only agenda was making sure you were okay.
You woke up, and saw Bokuto pacing the room repeatedly you tried to get his attention by saying his name but your throat was damaged. He eventually notices you and runs to your side, stroking your face softly and giving you a gentle hug making sure not to hurt you.
“Who did this Y/N?” he asks with worry in his eyes
You ignore his question and look at the silver medal wrapped around his neck making you sad “I’m sorry I didn’t make it to the match, I tried I really did try” you said with your voice sounding even worse after you said every word.
“Don’t be silly, I’m just glad that you’re okay babe, I was really worried about you.” he said
The Medic came in and said that you had multiple broken ribs, but beside that you were fine you just needed to rest your throat and let your bruises heal. You eventually told Bokuto that it was some of his fans, he was upset that you hid this from him for so long but he was just glad that he got to you as soon as he did. He managed to play at the next Olympics and you were there fully present, with your even bigger boquet of flowers watching win gold.
Authors Note: I tried to make it as close to your request as possible, but I hope you enjoy as I really do think this is my favourite work so far.... :3 Comments and feedback appreciated.
