- So he’s the type to do shit from the past that he knew would make your heart flutter and run will be blunt and impulsive with his actions

- Sae will touch your lower back as he comes up behind you to grab a class from the cub board and hand it to you

- Sae will bring you home your favorite snack when he knows rin wont see him give it to you

- Rin will grab your hand in public and not let go to make sure you don’t get lost on a crowd

- Rin will clumsily press his lips to your forehead when you are most distracted

- Both are very annoying

- And after a good WEEK of getting mixed signals from both of them you’re ready to stay your ass at home for the rest of the vacation before it’s back to work

- Monday morning Rin invites you on a morning run

- Which you obviously say fuck NO to bc the sun ain’t even up

- But he shows up to your front door at the asscrack of dawn telling you to get dressed you have no say in the matter unfortunately

- The jog isn’t so bad and he has the decency to buy you breakfast afterwards so that’s nice

- Decent conversation surprisingly

- When he drops you off back at your home he kisses you before literally sprinting off

- He was working up the nerve to do that all morning

- Can’t even say thanks or whatever yet before he presses his body close to you and lifts your head to slot his lips against yours

- Puts all his feelings into that kiss before managing to get out “bye” before his throat completely closes up

- And then sprints off before you can even blink

- Clown

- Giggling and kicking his feet when he gets home

- Sae is packing for his trip back to Spain at the end of the week

- When he catches you leaving his house after another Rin spontaneous all day movie marathon

- Offers to drive you home because it’s dark and he remembers the address

- Didn’t really offer so much as grab his Keys complaining about how you know better than to be outside this late

- Sir 🫤🫤

- The ride is kinda tense until he forces a conversation

- Unsurprisingly e vividly remembers all the right buttons to press to see that smile he’s been dying to see

- Don’t even notice he took the long way back to your home

- Puts his new number in your phone and tells you to stop being stubborn and answer when he texts you

- He’s a gentleman before all else so he walks you right to your front door

- Man barely hears a word you said before pulling you closer by your neck pressing his lips to yours

- Remembers you like the back of his hand the way his lips fit so familiar with yours

- Ends up with your arms around his neck and your back pressed into the front door

- Clearly wanting to come inside he pulls away because he’s fond of the chase🙄😒

- Wishes you a good night before kissing your forehead and going back to his car

Which is why i didn't add Leander to Oliver's closest gryffindors friends. They're both very shy around each other at the very beginning. It took a while for them to warm up to each other, mostly because Oliver had no problem kissing his friends good morning but could never do the same with Leander, which lead to a lilttle misunderstanding where Leander thought Oliver simply did not like him... Imelda resolved that misunderstanding REAL QUICK.

as someone who maladaptive daydreams all day long (whenever i'm not writing basically), trust me when i say i have an entire life planned out

first, I feel like being a heretic would be so fucking cool

like… vampire with witch powers, c'mon now… being the underdog your whole life and then rising to be the most powerful, it's gotta be redeeming

but personally, I think I'd stick to being just a witch, and I have a solid reason for this

now, being a vampire would be cool, too (and honestly I need to write more vampire reader fics), because I absolutely love the bloodthirsty, badassery of vampires

so if not a witch (bc I love the thought of being able to do magic), I would go with vamp second

I still hate the TVDU wolves. literally all of them. as someone who watches Teen Wolf now, I would LOVE to be one of those wolves, but as for TVDU, I still HATE those guys

being a hybrid doesn't sound too bad, although then both Klaus and Tyler would be all up in my business all the time, and that sounds awful

sometimes I'm so much of a Kolvina shipper that I can't split Kol & Davina apart, even tho I'm in love with Kol, too

Klaus is a frenemy; I like him when he's not murderous. he can be loyal when he wants to be, same with Elijah.

in fact, I liked Elijah in s2-era, but was also a little afraid. my crush fizzled out the moment I saw Kol, but then she & him became good friends instead (with both)

hooked up with Kol once or twice when he still lived in MF

friendly with Jo, but she's not really having it once I get with Kai

same with Luke and Liv... friendly, but Liv hates me after the merge

circa-season 7, I want to be friends with Nora & Mary Louise, but the MF gang works hard at keeping me away from them

amidst the chaos, I manage to get my way and befriend them anyway, earning their trust by being so close to Kai

when I die, I'm given blood by Nora, like in the fic I wrote recently, or Damon, who likes me enough to keep me alive and knows Kai would slaughter him if he ever came back and found out

seasons 7-8, I'm very much teaming on both sides, friends with MF gang and heretics, which is frustrating to MF gang (minus Caroline, who has become somewhat reliant on heretics for help with her pregnancy. + she always understands me anyway.)

frenemies

Tyler and Matt get their own category, bc I don't hate them, but they certainly piss me off

Tyler's just annoying in general, and I hate how he treats Caroline while he's away hybrid-ing

he gets better in s6 when he's trying to impress Liv & Caroline is over him. still not a friend, but less of an enemy

Matt, on the other hand, is complicated

he was my way into the supernatural bc we worked together

he had trouble keeping it from me bc vampires would always show up at the grill, and one time, he forgot I wasn't in the circle and ranted about vamps and wolves before he remembered

he and the gang still try to keep me out of it, despite my knowledge

but that all fails when Kol is undaggered, finds me alone, and we become friends

the fact that he actively hates vampires while hooking up with Rebekah bothers me, which causes tension between us

but he's stronger than he looks and loyal if he trusts you, so I try to keep him on my good side

family

my TVDU OC is the same OC I've had since I was 13 that I've slightly adapted for different fandoms

in TVDU, my parents are divorced; mom moved away, and toxic dad lives about 2 hours away while I'm in college

I hide whenever he comes to MF to visit

occasionally, my parents are dead like everyone else's

sometimes, though, I'm the older sister of other characters, but that varies per daydream

sometimes, I'm Tyler's older sister who is actually a wolf

triggered my curse young in life by accident, but didn't tell Tyler until he had triggered his own

sometimes, I'm even Matt's older sister, and he still spends every waking minute trying to keep me out of the supernatural

I've also used the Salvatore sister storyline with Kol, and Gilbert cousin one for both Kol and Kai

dating life

Kai, ofc

MF gang tried sooo hard to us apart, especially bc I'm a witch, but they lost that battle quickly

couldn't keep me from work, so whenever he'd come in for a drink and I was bartending, we'd talk

gained his trust through listening & he gained mine when I let him siphon

Matt and Damon first to realize we're friends, and know there's nothing they can do

fall into a relationship quickly

either beg Damon to spare him at the end of s6, or beg for his life in s8

had a crush on s2-era Elijah, but did a 180* and fell for Kol instead when he was undaggered

used as Kol bait when Caroline was Klaus bait, but despite a few hook-ups, never actually dated

became close friends & adore his relationship with Davina in NOLA

visit him there or wherever he is every so often

[I honestly never built a solid storyline around being with Kol or Elijah. (Elijah was my first favorite ever, and Kol's my second fave now next to Kai.) I entertain a world of delulu with Kol sometimes, but it lacks foundation.]

basically, he never died (obvs) and I move to NOLA with him (and he never dies there, too)

but I love both witch & vamp Kols, and both their actors, and I really should dedicate more time to delulu daydreams with them 😅

so, now that I've rambled...

species: witch, until Kai's death, then i become a vampire. however, if Kai doesn't die after s6, neither of us turn. (sometimes I'm feelin' heretic-y, sometimes not, what can I say?)

career: working at Mystic Grill; at Whitmore College for two years, but dropped out

friends: Caroline, Bonnie, & Elena first. Stefan & Damon post season 1 when Damon mellows out and I learn to trust Stefan. Kol & Rebekah, and I'm okay with the rest eventually (minus Finn).

family: divorced parents; mom moved and I stay away from my dad

frenemies: Matt & Tyler. s2 Klaus & Elijah. Finn, because I know he was mistreated by Klaus, much like Kol, and I want to be friends, but then he tries to kill his whole family, so I don't feel bad anymore. Then when Finn killed Kol in NOLA, he became a straight-up enemy. Also, I tolerate Alaric, but he annoys me daily in s6-8-era.

he he this made me smile cause I'm a bjtc accredited journo, I just had a gap year after uni and then the pandemic hit and I ended up in South Korea for two years LMAO. I should have been working in the industry with you but instead..... I am doing this hahaha. maybe one day our paths will cross!!

so our brains probably work in quite similar ways. journos have a responsibility to report faithfully, but they also have to persuade people to care about their stories. with fics, you're not restricted to facts and so it's a lot more fun!! you just have to make people care!!

but I think my background and my degree really proved the importance of research and knowing what you write about - I watched hours upon hours of boxing matches in the background of what I was doing today just to understand how it works and I like to think the research I put in reflects in my stories?? idk. everything I write is pretty much a first draft cause I'm a bit lazy with it lol but still!!

the simple answer is that my brain is a mess.

typically, I focus on two fics at a time - one will be happy and one will be angsty. this way I can switch between the two depending on my mood (atm we have bd and throttle, but for a long time it was cv and icarus).

TIME FOR THE ETHIE (my tloz oc) INFO THAT NONE OF YOU ASKED FOR because my adoration for botw/totk is so fucking strong rn!!!!

Putting it under a cut bc longpost go brrr

General lore:

- In every life she has, she’s Beedle’s cousin, and they’re almost always besties!! While they often have different lifestyles they still make time to hang out

- Ethie and Link have some kinda soulmate thing going on, whether it’s just as friends or as something more romantic. In every timeline though, Ethie crushes on him hard

- Sometimes she’s more stereotypically domestic like in the Windwaker or Skyward Sword timelines, but oftentimes she winds up being devoted to a craft of some sort!

- She’s tiny, like, even shorter than Link. Gets mistaken for a child a lot bc of this (just like me fr)

- Super strong!! Always!

- Loves nature, loves bugs, doesn’t always love fighting but is very good at it anyway. More into light swords than anything, but is very good with a bow and arrow too

- Her horse of choice (if she has one) is usually named after a food, not keeping a consistent name like Epona

- Autistic because obviously

BotW:

- Ethie is a blacksmith! She lives in one of the Bolson homes in Hateno (although the layout is a little different in my HC)

- She travels often, making deliveries all over Hyrule rather than having her customers need to come to her. She enjoys it, especially loving being able to explore for ores/materials and stay at the cozy stables

- She has a horse named Parsnip, because her color scheme matches one

- Her parents are farmers that also live in Hateno, and she meets Link while they’re ogling over the Hero of Hyrule coming to their little village (her dad instantly recognized him, but her mom was skeptical and had to warm up to the idea of it really being him a bit)

- They hit it off as buddies and travel together, since Ethie usually has deliveries to make wherever Link is going anyway

- She’s small and angry and easy to tease, like a chihuahua, but like she has to be!! Especially with all the monsters and Tall People and stuff!

- Because of this, when she starts having feelings for Link, she gets tsundere about it. Because of course she does!! She feels scared and vulnerable, she’s never rly been the romantic type!

- Speaking of which, in BotW times, Link and Ethie never “get together” (they don’t do anything beyond hugging and holding hands sometimes), but they’re both crazy about each other. They’re just fucking idiots and can’t see that the other reciprocates

- When Link goes to fight Ganon, she goes with him. After, Zelda offers for Ethie to be her personal knight as well, given how good of a fighter Ethie is (and also just wanting some female companionship rather than being stuck with Link all the time again lmao)

- Ethie declines, but agrees to go on more important/dangerous trips with Zelda and Link when need be

TotK (if you don’t want spoilers pls don’t read this!):

Her lore isn’t entirely worked out here, but I have 2 things in mind:

Option 1:

- Ethie goes with Link and Zelda the day they “disappear.” Didn’t fall in the hole with Zelda, watched awestruck as Rauru just suddenly appeared to save Link

- She waits on the Sky Island for Link to wake up/Zelda to hopefully come back. At this point she and Zelda are close friends, so she’s just as worried about her, but is mostly focused on making sure Link doesn’t literally die

- Rauru obviously helps Ethie learn how to live (without a cool hand or magic or whatever) on the islands, and even helps her find or make her own cool Zonai clothes to wear

- They become close friends!! Rauru actually enjoys her company a lot more than Ethie realizes (he’s mostly excited to have a friend that isn’t dead or a robot though fkdkvemdkw)

- When Link finally wakes up, she helps Rauru teach Link how to get by. When they’re back on mainland, she accompanies him the whole journey to find Zelda, putting her smithing duties on hold until further notice

Option 2:

- Ethie stays home and continues working when Zelda and Link go to the castle

- Despite her worries when they don’t come back for what’s most likely years, she keeps working as a way to distract herself

- Ethie does more traveling just for the heck of it, not wanting to be alone with her thoughts at home. She becomes a lot closer with beings from other regions that she hadn’t often visited before, such as Sidon in Lanayru and Yunobo in Eldin

- When Link comes back eventually, she’s outside in her workshop getting a commission done and sees him walking towards her

- She stops what she’s doing and hides her emotions behind anger, rushing over to him once he’s shaken off all the excited villagers who want to welcome him back

- Ethie throws a fucking tantrum at him, basically

-“Who the fuck just leaves for years and comes back with cool clothes and new tattoos? What the hell were you doing that whole time? Are you so dumb that you got lost? Why else would you not have came back sooner? Why didn’t you send letters? Where is Zelda? Do you know how worried I was?” Etcetera

- He shuts her up/quells her anger by just grabbing her face and smooching. Aw, it’s their first kiss!!

- But because she was just hiding her intense emotions behind anger, this brings them all out and she starts ugly crying and like.. latches onto him lmao

- After everything is out of Ethie’s system, Link explains what happened, and like in the other possible outcome, Ethie goes with Link to find Zelda (she even crafts them some cool glowing armor/weapons for when they go underground)

The thing about Bel is that, as a mindreader and also as a split god linked to his own twin sibling, Bel’s not…. good at…….. communicating his own thoughts and feelings? Like Bel’s always been used to Ty just knowing everything about him all the time cause the two of them are ALWAYS in each others heads they can’t turn it off. That’s not to say Bel isn’t extremely well spoken and emotionally intelligent he just uh. Forgets to Do That On The Outside.

Bel’s always poker faced and never reveals what he’s feeling - Chal, his partner, is frantically babbling every single thing she’s thinking and experiencing the second anything pops into her head. Bel himself summed up pretty concisely a while ago (yes I went back to 2017 to find tbis exact quote lol) - “I think the way we love each other is different.  You're more intense, I'm more subtle.”

so was that on PURPOSE okay no like I said Chal was never designed with Bel specifically in mind but. Is this something about Chal that’s become more pronounced as she developed alongside Bel! yyeeessss. So to foil alongside Bel Chal has gotten LOUDER and BABBLIER

fun fact re all of this though that idk if I’ve ever shared - they have had MANY conversations about their extreme communication differences cause it has caused problems due to Chal not!! being able to read minds and Bel!! forgetting that not everyone can read minds!!!!! They have a rule set up between them that Chal can ask at any time “what are you thinking” and Bel will always answer honestly no exceptions 💞 Chal asks this 40 times a day and it’s become so second nature to them that she’s even occasionally slipped up and done it to like, Tory, Gany, lol

For Icy: I’ve yet to formally do anything about this in canon but Icy’s still on and off crushing on Chal solely because I think it’s really funny so i’m stalling as long as possible since Neo and Icy are forever endgame anyway. HOWEVER I have discovered in my daydream planning that the way Icy will finally and definitively stop fawning over her is gonna be the moment he finally has an actual in depth conversation with Chal in order to discover that Chal, just like Icy, is an anxious wreck disaster - maybe even more so - and the shock of looking in a metaphorical mirror will be enough to knock some sense back into him. No way can Icy be the put together confident one in a relationship they can’t BOTH be falling apart aahhhh. Icy’s gonna realise that he can only date an opposite! HMM WHO’S ICY’S POLAR OPPOSITE AND CONVENIENTLY HIS BEST FRIEND AT HIS SIDE —

For Pho: this came to light for me the moment Pho and Chal actually met each other in canon cause I hadn’t realized how Pho was going to behave until he was behaving as such (I said, as the person responsible for writing and controlling all of these characters — shhhhhhhh) — is the discovery that Pho REALLY can’t stand Chal and it’s NOT for any of the reasons anyone else has hated her lmfao?! Literally nothing to do with Thanatos?!?!!

Pho and his dayglo glitter projection self has always existed outside of “time” in the sense that since like, physical age 4 onwards Pho has never actually ACTED his age, babbling in competent paragraphs due to his powers as a brain-mental(dream) god advancing him well beyond typical development. Kid-not-really-a-kid. Who else in the palace was merely kid-shaped but actually mentally existing well beyond their physical age???

Why, mindreading mindgods Ty and Bel of course, who froze themselves deliberately in the shape of children at age 7ish to be 7 forever with their big sister Meli, despite their powers advancing them outside the confines of age and space and time. they’re mind gods - they’re every mind!

and that’s a lonely life to live forever but not when you have a glittery buddy who’s also masquerading the same way to hang out with :-) besties! Except of course then Bel and Ty moved to Chal’s house— and dropped the facade, for Chal’s sake, to actually appear as the adults they were. For Chal’s sake! happily ever after for Chal!

…well. then. Pho was quite dismayed to discover that his besties weren’t kids to hang out with anymore. they didn’t even tell him fffdkfkff whoops??? like they just showed up at the palace again all different and Pho hanging out there with Icy was like what the FUCK??? so when Pho finally met Chal the discovery - suddenly became very clear to me that he harbors QUITE a bit of jealous resentment against her for “taking Bel and Ty away” and uhhh. will this be a grudge Pho holds forever?! maybe lmao! everyone’s oblivious no one can read Pho’s mind cause it’s all glitter sooooo……….. hm…….. keeping that one in the back of my mind……

Some thoughts on the ending of Captain America Sentinel of Liberty

considering how I haven't been that much enthusiast with how the second arc of this story has been handled (Cold War was terrible, imo), and mostly with Bucky's character, I have to say I'm rather pleased with how this ending was crafted, considering the writers had to cut it short and change plans midway, probably. This was maybe the best they could do at this point.

I just beg for one thing

can we stop having scenes' like this one each time Bucky is facing an enemy? I know that in this case the scene serves as a parallel to what happened in issue #5 (I think?) with Bucky killing the former Revolution, and this is also a way to show us how Steve has taken a different sight to his friend's approach, standing by his side and trying to understand his pov. That's cool and reasonable.

BUT PLS LET THIS BE THE LAST TIME WE SEE THIS TROPE in comics and in mcu or wathever!!! Bucky isn't a child pulling a tantrum that needs to be calmed down each time by someone else, he is a man who has gone through so many terrible and unfair shit, and still he has proven so many times he can be a real hero. He is a good man at heart, that knows compassion in spite of how bad he has been treated since forever. He has his own moral compass and sense of justice, but he is not a killer anymore, and he hasn't been for a long time now.

How much more powerful a scene would be if there wasn't someone else to talk "sense" into him when he is pointing a gun at a bad guy (a scene similiar to this one was in Falcon and WS 2020 too!), and still he would lower the gun all the same and spare his enemy life, by himself?

I get why this scene was used here, and it is a good one who speaks some volume on Steve's character too, but I do really hope this will be the last time Bucky has to go through this!

You know what? You made such a good point and you reminded me of something I once thought about. There are so many readers in the comments that say they don’t imagine themselves as y/n // oc (whatever you want to call her) but then often proceed to project their own feelings onto her. The amount of comments I read where they were saying what a poor thing she is because of something, when in the story she was completely fine. It’s interesting to see this and I often keep these thoughts to myself, until someone brings them up or reminds me of it just like it happened now.

I’d also take this opportunity to talk a little bit more about the whole “y/n / reader” topic. It’s absolutely okay to imagine yourself as her, the story is written that way after all. She’s still a character in the end and what I mean to say with this, is that she’s never going to be 100% versatile to everyone. This is a fiction and nobody should be shamed for imagining themselves as her when the story is written for this purpose. Just as much as it’s okay to imagine her as a character alone, not putting yourself in her place. As long as you’re enjoying the story and can tell a difference between a fiction & reality, it’s absolutely okay. I’m planning to talk about this in the next a/n some more.

To the very end, 🥝 is definitely not perfect. We learned that throughout the story, even though there was never said she’s perfect. She was to Jungkook, yes. They had a wonderful relationship for a long time.

Hotaru and Ryuu, for basics, are two high school first years on their school’s basketball team. They become friends relatively quickly, and they’re like. Besties. Ryuu also has a mega homosexual crush on hotaru, but he’s repressed and has internalized homophobia lmao. Hotaru is just happy to have a friend for once.

I’ve Ryuu posted a lot today, but I’ll run it down again lol. He was always the top of his class, an extremely hard worker who was very serious about success, and didn’t seem like he had a rebellious bone in his body. His biggest downfall though, is stress. After he falls in with his cousin’s gang friends, they get him hooked on a bunch of drugs (the whole “it’ll help you relax!” mentality) and he starts failing all his classes and ditching to hang out with them and like. Do drugs. And he just becomes really apathetic and kind of loses himself. His cousin, Shunichi, who had begun trying to distance himself from these friends and restart his life on a better path, immediately is scared for him and feels like. Super fucking guilty cuz he knows it’s technically his fault. But Ryuu doesn’t like him and doesn’t listen to a single thing he says, so he brings his worries to hotaru, aka the only person Ryuu will not only listen to, but also the only person he even seems to care about in general. Hotaru had already started to become concerned, and with this new push from Shunichi, decides to try and talk to Ryuu. However, Ryuu doesn’t like what he’s trying to say, and continuously tries changing the subject, until it gets to the point where he tries to kiss hotaru without asking, which does not go well.

Which I find a good place to talk about hotaru. Hotaru Ibe used to be known as Haruka Ibe, an extremely famous child model known for his feminine and unique looks (he has heterochromia and natural blue hair). He didn’t have a normal childhood in the slightest, including the fact that he never had a real friend. He was an extremely talented, extremely famous model, so all the other child models were jealous or wanted to use him to boost their own popularity. That is, until he meets the new photographer at his agency, a very kind and friendly man who seems like the first person to really care about him for him. The two become good friends, and spend a lot of time together, until the day that the photographer man… takes advantage of him. He’s caught and arrested almost immediately, but not before hotaru is effectively traumatized. After this event, he hits his breaking point and decides to quit modeling entirely, deeming Haruka dead and taking on the name hotaru instead. He dyes his hair brown, conceals his lighter colored eye with a colored contact, and starts wearing glasses. He makes it his mission to have the most normal life possible, and never stand out or be anything extraordinary. However, with the “death” of haruka, he decides to repress his trauma from the incident, and tries to ignore it instead of ever dealing with it in a healthy way. When Ryuu attempts to kiss him, it makes hotaru feel like he’s back in that situation again, and he understandably freaks out. However, this event is good for one thing, and that is realizing that he needs to learn how to cope with what happened to him.

Eventually, the two of them do make up after Ryuu realizes how much he fucked up, and they become friends again. I haven’t decided if they ever become an actual relationship or not, but if they do, it’d be waaaayy in the future. Which, another fun fact is that they do become roommates after highschool lol.

Sonic the Hedgehog: you know her, you love her, she's transgender now! 19-ish as of Forces, aroace, personality and vibe same as always, nothing gets her down. the big plot twist with her is that she's an artificial life form like Shadow and was engineered with an aptitude for chaos energy, but she does her best to shrug off the implications.

Miles "Tails" Prower: sonic's adopted little brother, 17-ish as of Forces, transgender (this will be a theme), low self-confidence despite his intelligence and his ability to hold his own. a LOT of things happen to him, uh- Colors, Chronicles, and Lost World kinda got slammed together into one story arc, so he got halfway roboticized AND blasted with negative color until he was able to break out of the brainwashing. he hasn't found a way to undo the roboticization yet.

Amy Rose: i love amy so much but i don't know how to accurately capture her vibe. 18-ish as of Forces, she had a crush on sonic but has eased off on it and now they are comfortably friends (even if she can still be a bit much at times), she does tarot, i think the most that got changed is her design tbh

Knuckles the Echidna: straightforward-thinking treasure hunter, dealing with responsibility of guarding the master emerald vs him finally having an opportunity to explore the outside world, 20-ish as of Forces, got tormented a bit in the askblog

Shadow the Hedgehog: nonbinary alien hedgehog clusterfuck my beloved. they/them, actually somewhat chill underneath all the edge, technically Sonic is a knockoff of them, still has a pretty shaky sense of identity, at one point jorb helped me figure out what ShTH story path would be most canon for them but i don't want to find it rn

Daedalus "Double" Perrow: first of many OCs! maned wolf, 17-ish (?) as of Forces, more on him later because a lot of the comics so far involve him lmao. fills in 1/2 of the custom hero role in Forces (did the prison break, teams up directly with modern sonic, has past history with Infinite) and gets nicknamed "Gadget" by sonic. trans of gender

Wayne "Infinite" Bay: whoops i took an oc and accidentally spliced him into being infinite. double's friend, 19-ish as of Forces, got kidnapped and experimented on by eggman. the askblog plotline was building up to double trying to find and save him because they were friends before wayne got corrupted by the phantom ruby, but my energy fizzled out before that could get anywhere

hey, there.. thank you so much for reading raow. wow, it's so nice that people are actually diving into it 😭 i like to think that oc took some time for herself and graduated with a still foggy mind. she and hobi do get closer and then together, but it takes a while for her to truly open up. and taehyung… he does his best to be better. reflects on his mistakes and works through his own heartbreak. eventually, they both move on.

back in high school, i had this best friend. i was in love with him for 3-4 full years, but he didn't reciprocate it. there were a lot of times when i thought he surely did, bc he called me his girl and had little nicknames for me, and would give me little kisses on my cheek… he'd literally spend every second with me and remind me how much i meant to him. lol i remember one time when he couldn't stop staring at me and i didn't know why until my friend said, "rid, you look so good today" and he immediately blurted, "YUP. yeah.. you do."

despite all that, nothing ever happened. and while i still think he felt at least a hint of the same affection for me, we ended up not getting together; the smut bit and tae falling in love with oc was new. the last bits of the fic didn't happen to me. but my friend did have a crush on a girl from our class, so i gave up on him.

like even today, i dream of him lmao i'm not even kidding. i think of him so damn much and it's been 8 years !!! he was the first guy i fell in love with and who broke my heart, and my brain wants to keep reminding me of that. it was so bad back in summer 2021 that i ended up writing raow for cathartic purposes, and yeah… here we are :')

Okay okay okay I wanna hear all about that next gen thing bc that is crazy dude how did that even happen omg

OH YES alright! This is gonna be another full-on Mona-rants-moment so strap in bestie!

I don’t know exactly when I started thinking about a HTTYD next gen, but it must’ve been somewhere around 2014, after I had watched both movies almost right after each other. Gotta confess, before watching HTTYD1 on a vacation to Germany as a little 10-almost-11-year-old, I thought it was a horror movie. Oops. I thought the same about Shrek, but now I unapologetically adore both of them.

So as little kids, me and my twin brother (let the record state, he’s younger than me. By four minutes. It’s a real thing) were absolutely obsessed with HTTYD. So much, that we would roleplay as dragons and – wheeze – HiccStrid’s potential twin kids. Oh, yeah, we were deep into it. We were so deep. We played out adventures and pretended to fly on our pretend dragons, whom we named Fly Fly and Toe Toe and they were, you are allowed to laugh, the kids of Toothless and a Whispering Death. My brother’s favorite dragons were the Whispering Deaths, and we were great at biology. Nope.

After that whole shabang, we went to middle/high school, my brother grew past his Dragons-phase, I stayed right where I was cuz ofc I did, and after meeting some new friends who were just as much into HTTYD as I was (one of them was the friend who gave my the nickname Mona and helped me with Of Thrones and Heirs!), we kinda created a new next gen based of what we thought was cool lmao. I couldn’t find a lot of information on that on my laptop, since most of it was handwritten or only spoken to each other – and tbh, I’m not really feeling up to checking my chats about it with one of those friends cuz I’m not friends with them anymore. But that’s okay, we have a lot more information for what came next!

I developed the next gen a bit on my own, I remember, still with some influences from the friends I had created the last version with. And for this one I still got a lot of details, so let me grab them for ya.

In this next gen, HiccStrid had five kids. Yeah, they be being busy. Zephyr and Nuffink got added a bit later, after I had seen THW, before that they only had the oc children I created as a lil 14-year-old. They had, in order, Zephyr Stormfly (20 y.o.), Nuffink Toothless (18 y.o.), Alischa Valka (14 y.o., aka, the main character), Stoick Finn (13 y.o.) and Lunette Ansfrid (3 y.o.). Oh yeah, that’s a mouthful.

Next to HiccStrid, back then I also shipped Heather and Fishlegs. Not sure if I still do now, but back then they had the following kids; Helen Windshear (19 y.o., she was Zephyr’s best friend), Fay Heather (16 y.o.), Veena Astrid (16 y.o., she and her twin sister were created by my friend I think), Beril/Hugo Oswald (13 y.o., not sure which of the two names. All I know is that he was Stoick’s bestie).

To the more… complicated part, young me put some drama into this next gen by making a divorce plot. So what I thought was cool (and because I didn’t really like Snotlout back then. Very stupid, he’s the kingest of kings), was the idea that Snotlout and Ruffnut had a son right after THW after a one-night-stand (Thorvald Hookfang, 21 y.o., all I know is that he had a huge crush on Zephyr). After that, they tried to make things work, but they didn’t, and they did a divorce thing. After that, Ruff went with Eret and had twins, Audun Eret (19 y.o., he’s the guy I wrote down as the Gustav of the next gen lmao) and Hialti Ruffnut (19 y.o., I don’t think she had a very good life). Meanwhile, Snotlout had a daughter with Minden, Ylva (13 y.o., she had a crush on Stoick).

Tuffnut had two kids with some chick, Annika Macey (19 y.o., she and Nuffink were in love or something) and Kjell Lloyd (19 y.o., I don’t know shit about him).

For the rest, I only had kids for Dagur and Mala cuz oh yeah they were a thing. Don’t think I really shipped them, but they were fun to include. Their kids were Ingrid Heather (16 y.o., I literally don’t know anything about her), Oswald Dagur (5 y.o.) and Siri Mala (3 y.o., the first Siri! I don’t know anything about her).

So that was that next gen. Alischa was the main character, she later got a whole fledged out story involving Grimmel’s grandkid, Arcum (who she got a crush on ofc, I basically redid the whole “enemies to lovers” thing I loved doing in Of Thrones and Heirs), while trying to prove herself to her overprotective dad Hiccup, finding the Hidden World and the Night Lights in the process. She bonded with Toothless’ daughter, Safire, which would’ve been pretty cute.

That whole thing was pushed aside in favor of Siri in December 2019, unfortunately. While I did try to recreate the next gen several times (I am still figuring out what the actual fuck I wanna do with ships in the original cast and who would have kids and who wouldn’t. All I know is HiccStrid has Zephyr and Nuffink cuz that’s canon and Tuffnut is aroace and the cool uncle. For the rest… man, I don’t know. I love FishLout, I love RuffLegs, I love the idea of Minden and Snotlout, I wanna see Snotlout with a daughter, etc etc. I just don’t know anything lmao), things never really stuck, as I was in the height of creating Siri’s story, and in addition, Niv’s story. Now I primarily wanna think about the next gen cuz I wanna give gussiri’s kids some friends pff

Like, at some point I tried to change up the entire next gen; I paired up Tuffnut and Heather (some weird idea from the friend I’m no longer friends with. I don’t know why), they had four whole kids (Dagny, Kyll, and Lloyd, who were triplets born in 1018, and Oswald Loki Chicken Sverd, yes, who was born in 1028). It was a weird move. I also cut down on Dagur and Mala’s kids, giving them only a daughter, named Hedvig, born in 1022. Zephyr (1018) and Nuffink (1021) still existed, but they no longer had any siblings. Lloyd and Zephyr were in love and it was very cute, and Hedvig and Nuffink had a thing going on.

Next to that, I removed the whole thing with Snotlout, Ruff, Eret and Minden, now Snotlout and Minden only had twins (Vidar and Ylva, born in 1021, Vidar wanted to become a wingmaiden). Eret and Ruff had a son named Sol (1023), which is very weird now, considering one of my best friends is named Sol lmao. Fishlegs had a son from a one-night-stand (Kjott, 1019), and the only reason for that is because the friend I’m no longer friends with didn’t like Fishlegs for his “disgusting” relationship with Meatlug. Glad I’m finally allowing to love this precious boy instead of being forced to go along with their opinions.

At this point, Sunniva and Helene didn’t exist as GusSiri kids, rather being replaced by a daughter named Funnet (1025) and a son named Agnarr (1028, Aggie and Oswald had a cute thing together). Niv did exist! I created him and he never changed, he’s just too much of a baby boy for that.

So yeah, that’s how it all shifted and turned over the years! I hope I can point my vision on trying to point down some good characters to be- WAIT A FUCKING SECOND

My OC! I was gonna write a blurb on the side but I have more to say than I had room for so I’m just gonna type the info here. This is a long post, I’m very long-winded. Oh also have you ever made an OC as a joke but then you just kept adding like backstory and personality traits until they accidentally turned into a character you actually like? Yeah that’s what this is. Oh! And I forgot to say but left is one of her casual outfits and right is her villain costume

(TW: mentions of abuse, weapons, murder, I mean this is a LOV OC so yeah)

Name: Chloe (no last name)

Villain Name: Puppy Love

Quirk: Dog (Chihuahua). Grants her the abilities to smell anything within a 12 mile radius (including being able to know a lot about people from just their scent), fast reflexes, good running speed (only when running on all fours though), heightened hearing, as well as dog ears, a tail, big eyes, and sharp teeth. Basically, “she can do everything a dog can do”

Personality: hyper, bubbly, easily excited, naive, obedient, loyal, easily distracted, talkative, ditzy, probably annoyingly overly friendly

Reason For Joining LOV: I’m not going to completely delve into her whole backstory, I’ll do that another time esp since I’m still working some things out, but she was a victim of an abusive pageant company (the pageants were sort of a front for something more sinister) that bought girls with “desirable quirks” and trained them to participate in pageants and then to eventually produce more girls with that quirk. She escaped that system when she accidentally murdered one of the leaders and was forced out of America for her own safety and went overseas and happened to find solace in the LOV, especially since there were heros that were involved in her mistreatment.

Weapon(s) Of Choice: gun because American lol, a long leash she uses as a lasso (mostly to retrieve items and on weak enemies as some enemies could definitely break it)

Likes: meat, hygiene/beauty products, dancing, singing, fashion, everything Y2k, celebrity culture, interesting-smelling things, physical affection, chewing on things (gum, food, toys, people, you name it)

Dislikes: loud noises, I’m trying so hard not to say cats rn it would just be funny, having “no purpose” (like not receiving orders to do something, she has a sort of complex about not having “a purpose” in life), running out of hygiene products especially hair products

What’s In Her Juicy Couture Bag?: her rhinestone-encrusted phone, makeup, comb, Victoria’s Secret body spray, pink bone squeaky toy, gum, beef jerky, dental floss (to get the beef jerky out of her teeth), a rhinestone-encrusted weed pen, an actual pen (one of the ones with a fluffy bit at the end) and small notebook (don’t try to read it, her handwriting is atrocious and if she catches you she’ll probably bite your hand off), cash, and a fake ID

Other Info: I sort of “ship” her with Spinner but like I also don’t think she’d be romantically interested in Spinner at first. For some reason I need her to have a hopeless crush on Dabi for a while while Spinner pines for her lmao. She’d be besties with Spinner, though, and would insist on cuddling with him and stuff which I think would drive him crazy (in a… good way? I think). Eventually she’ll realize that Dabi is an asshole and hates her (although I think she’d be able to sense it all along but just not care for a while) and that the high level of friendship she feels for Spinner has slowly turned into loving him. Idk why my aromantic ass comes up with these cheesy scenarios but yeah lol. Also she gives Toga and Magne Y2k makeovers and they have like girl nights sometimes. I imagine she’s so naive and friendly that the rest of the LOV have to specifically order her NOT to go up to their enemies all like “HI I’M CHLOE WHAT’S YOUR NAME?!?! :3” and she definitely said that exact line to every single one of them at some point while getting up in their face. Most of the LOV have likely never had someone willingly get so close to them (especially Spinner and Shigaraki omg though Shigaraki probably wants to turn her to dust while Spinner’s just a blushing mess)

2. How easy is it for your character to laugh?

Kai - Relatively easy! But not too much I think. It's just that he's already so upbeat and smiling all the time so laughing is like one step over that. You get what I mean?

Fross - Politely? Fairly easy if he respects you just a little and doesn't want to upset you. Genuinely? Not as much. He has to like you a lot for that, but then when that happens he totally becomes a giggly schoolboy with a crush lol.

4. How easy is it to earn their trust?

Kai - Hmmm easy? Kind of. I'm not sure. Because he tends to be optimistic and try to see the good in everyone around him, if it came down to it, he would probably consider you trustworthy until proven untrustworthy. But he's not careless either, he might be an oversharer but he's not gonna trust a stranger with sensitive information unless life itself depended on it or something. So he'd give you a chance but not rush too much into it.

Fross - Extremely hard lmao. I'm convinced it took Stanley at least 80 years to earn his trust and he was even helped by the fact that Fross enjoyed spending time in VR Las Vegas and got extremely lonely because he hated all of the other Zeniths. I guess he "trusted" Ted Faro once, but that was because he was parasocializing hard and the version of Faro he had in his head was deeply romanticized.

5. How easy is it to earn their mistrust?

Kai - Relatively easy if you know where to strike.

Fross - Very easy! I'd argue that mistrust is his default state. See above. Even when he gets really close to someone, he keeps expecting them to have ulterior motives or disappoint him in some other way (e.g. Kai).

9. Do they swear? Do they remember their first swear word?

Kai - Yes on both accounts! I'm not sure what his first swear word would be though? I'm thinking it was one he heard from his Focus and then kept repeating over and over for three weeks, much to his werak's chagrin lol. But I'd have to figure out what kind of holos Takuto would have saved in his Focus... It's not too far-fetched to think he might have learned his first swear word from Akechi himself which is a really funny idea to me.

Fross - Very rarely, I think. I don't think he would say them casually, but only if he really was pissed and trying to insult someone, if that makes sense? So that's very risky considering the circumstances which means he has to either just mutter it so they can't hear it or say them alone lol. Maybe he goes into his VR world and just yells swears for a while, that sounds healing. He definitely doesn't remember his first swear word but if I had to guess it was probably damn.

29.  Do they usually live up to their own ideals? 

Kai - He tries to, at least! He sticks to them most of the time but sometimes he slips in moments of extreme emotional distress. It's only natural.

Fross - No lol. His moral compass is a roulette wheel anyways so I'm not sure it's possible, haha. And he's also a massive hypocrite, there's that.

E) Are they someone you would get along with? Would they get along with you?

Unfortunately they would both really hate my guts :( As for whether I would like them, I don't know about Fross but at least I do wish Kai were real 💔

F) What do you feel when you think of your OC (pride, excitement, frustration, etc)?

Depends on my mood lol. A lot of the times it's pride or excitement, occasionally it's self-recognition through the other (derogatory) which leads to actual anger and hurt and even hate lol. Sometimes it's [redacted] and sometimes it's love and care and appreciation and warmth and comfort, and sometimes it's even pity lol. When I say they're everything to me, I really mean it, haha. They make me feel the full spectrum of human emotion, even jealousy lmao. But maybe this question wasn't looking for a literal answer but more like an average :?

H) What trait do you admire most?

For Kai, it'd probably be easier to list what I don't admire about him, lol. But I guess it's just what I admire most 🤔 Soooo, probably his determination, his optimism, his can-do attitude. I like how well he plays the role of a hero. He really has the vibes of a leader who's the glue that keeps the team together. And I love that. He really inspires me in so many ways.

I guess this is gonna sound weird, but I really admire Fross's will to live. I always have. At this point I'm convinced that the only reason he survives so much shit he shouldn't be able to survive is because he really wants to (or maybe because evil never dies lol).

But, more importantly, even when everyone hates him, even when he's at his most despairing, even when it seems like he has nothing left to live for, he has this conviction that he deserves to live a good life, no matter how long it takes to find it. He knows it's unfair that the apocalypse happened during his time. And he's so sure that he deserves just as much as anybody else...

Obviously this is a problem for him because he's so ready and willing to step on whoever he needs to make his ideal life happen that it gets in his own way. He's willing to put his own right to live over an entire planet's right to live. But it's so impressive to me because it's like he's constantly drawing from a bottomless well, clinging to life, to his right to exist, even when everyone around him desperately wants him to keel over and die. I have to wonder where he got it from.

Beyond the sentimental stuff, though, this places him in direct opposition to the self-sacrificial characters around him (Aloy, Kai, Lis), which I think is cool.
