Finally -FINALLY- colored some art that has been sitting in my sketchbook forever, and I'll have much more to come. I have many finished Volo-themed sketches done, but I still have to ink and color it all. This is self-indulgent fan art of Volo interacting with the Train Clowns, but all the other drawings I did are gift art of other peoples' designs that I love a lot. When I upload them, I'll credit the artist who inspired me, and I'll add links to their work. It will go along with the theme of this blog highlighting good art I like. Some of the artists are on Twitter, and some are here on Tumblr.

First drawing is from that 'comfort characters in a car' meme, except I turned it into a personal joke where Volo looks nervous because Ingo tells him Emmet is a better driver, but he is a menace on the road. Ingo might not even know how to drive -he can't remember if he can or not- but he is polite and courteous so it should be okay. Volo's outfits are from my fan fiction 'Volo's Endless Sunshine' (R-18; tread with care) where he was made the Blue Boss at the Battle Subway, and his alternate uniform gives the trio a traffic light theme. It was fun to use some garish, full-intensity colors.

I'm hyped about the possibility of Volo ending up in Masters any day now, although he'd be in something better than this. :-D

my prof just explained on the syllabus that he’s included more points in the class than we needed to pass, so we could skip up like?? 20 small assignments/quizzes/participation!! and still get a very high grade!!

the idea was that we could focus on assignments that played to our strengths - only do the participation stuff if we like to talk out loud - only do the quizzes/readings if we want to do the class remotely - only do online discussions if we like to talk and share opinions but struggle with anxiety in class ect.

and that’s cool enough but then he pulled up DnD character sheets with drawings he’d done of these hypothetical student player classes and how our various accessibility needs could be gamified to ‘max out’ different aspects of the class to get high grades and like!!!!!

hell yeah!!!! let’s treat accessibility in higher education not just as a necessity but as the fun, engaging, and creative aspect of learning that it is!!! I love this!!
