Alrights so my backlog diary has been decided:

For shows, I will start by documenting my watch of two different shows. Those being Highschool Heroes, a currently airing tokusatsu/high school coming of age JDrama hybrid starring an upcoming Johnnys unit and written by Yuya Takahashi himself and Kinos Journey, an episodic anime about the titular Kino traveling from place to place with their talking motorcycle and encountering lots of interesting, tragic and philosophical situations, locations and people.

For books, I think I’m gonna start with my Bonkle readings. I’m probably not going to do a readthrough of the entire series as I don’t think I have the time and energy to o liveblog and analysis of EVERY bonkle story, but I will do those that interest me, where I have something to say, or thos I haven’t read yet.

As for my Bonkle reading, I will start with the Dark Hunters guidebook and giving my thoughts/analysis of it. This suggestion was by @crystaltoa and I’m very happy for the suggestion.

Finally for games...I’m not really sure? Perhaps Utawaerumono as I started that although, I’m not quite sure. Still gotta think about this one

my knowledge of kamen rider head writers:

yasuko kobayashi: queen. trendsetter. defined the pillars of the franchise as it exists today. no one’s doing it like her. i could gush about the writing of ryuki and ooo for hours. please come back we miss you

toshiki inoue: my enemy. i am going to fight him in the toei parking lot. welcome to his twisted mind. loves horny and misogyny and toxic hets. gives us canon gays but only as long as they’re bad rep. the novelizations he made are pure evil. agito seems good though

yonemura: i don’t even know his first name i only know he did kabuto and people say things like “yonemura’s vision” or “mr. yonemura’s wild ride” or “thanks yonemura” about kabuto which. yeah

riku sanjo: did w and drive right. i learned his name from that post rob made about his strengths and weaknesses that i found in tumblr search so now my opinions of him are basically that post. thank you for the w found family gang though they’re everything

yuya takahashi: ik he did exaid and also apparently 01 so he seems, like, definitely fairly solid. i have no real strong feelings on him except that he also did haihero which brings his total of canon trans characters up to 2 so a big thank you for that

gen urobuchi: i had to go back and edit him cause i forgot about him cause after all he did only do one season. everything this man has ever written is an edgy ripoff of ryuki

also shotaro ishinomori ofc but idk anything about showa riders so *shrug*
