He loves getting tiny little gifts for you, as well as cuddling literally everywhere and anywhere. He loves PDA and will not pass up the chance to kiss you.

He loves showing you off, especially to Iwaizumi. “My girlfriend is so much prettier than yours!” “I DON’T EVEN HAVE A GIRLFRIEND TRASHYKAWA!” “Oops, I forgot! Ehe~”

He’s scared that you’ll leave him, just like his ex, so he tries his hardest to make you happy.

He will kiss you on your lips, on your nose, on your cheeks, even on your fucking eyebrows (unless you don’t have eyebrows but thats a bit weird)

He praises you for the littlest things, and it's all genuine. He may make it seem like a joke, but you can tell that he means everything that he says to you.

He gets very jealous. Whenever his teammates come near you, he (very loudly) tells them to back off and hides you from them. He doesn’t reveal to his fangirls that you're his girlfriend, because he knows that they’re probably gonna harass you.

He’s extremely affectionate and touchy, like I said before. He showers you with love and loves giving you piggy back rides.

Your guys’ first kiss was during New Years. You guys were way too tired to go to the festival, so you guys crashed at his place and watched alien/action movies all night. At one point in the movie, a kissing scene came on and Oikawa was like “Hey wanna try that” and a second later, yall were making out. ┊┊❁ཻུ۪۪♡ ͎. ｡˚ 　　°

Sugawara:

He’s very protective and caring towards you! His mama instincts kick in and he always makes sure you’ve eaten and slept a proper amount.

He loves you to the ends of the earth. He’s aware of all your boundaries and respects you, but he also teases you a lot.

He gives you a lot of head pats

He likes holding hands and giving tiny little pecks on the lips in public, but he won’t do anything outlandish like making out (unlike Oikawa). It's all up to you whether you want to be publicly affectionate or not.

He listens to all your problems and gives you the best advice.

He’s pretty affectionate. He always smiles at you whenever you’re doing something, because you're just so pretty. He can never stop himself from blushing whenever you guys make eye contact.

His first priority is your happiness and comfort. He’s willing to sit with you in silence or have deep conversations about relationships.

He’s so insanely cliche, but you love that about him. He’s always finding new pickup lines and actions that make you cringe but laugh.

He texts long messages like “hi baby! Hope your having a good day <3 remember to eat your lunch and get your full eight hours of sleep! I’ll call you later so just text me if you need anything! Love you <3 - your hubby” and then you’ll probably reply with “ok”

He gets jealous really fast, but he doesn’t show it or do anything until you get uncomfortable in the situation. At that point, he would glare at whoever made you uncomfortable and drag you away. He is very scary when he’s mad, so that person would probably never come near you guys again. If you’re simply just talking to another guy, Suga snaps whatever he’s holding in his hand and he starts mumbling to himself angrily. Daichi and Asahi tease him a lot about his jealousy issue.

Pet names: honey, baby, angel, sugarplum, sweetheart, [nickname].

Your guys’ first kiss was after Karasuno won against Shiratorizawa. You had specifically told him you would kiss him if he won, so right after the game ended, you ran up to him and slammed your lips onto his. All his teammates whistled and clapped (Noya and Tanaka cried tears of envy) ┊┊❁ཻུ۪۪♡ ͎. ｡˚ 　　°

Kenma:

“She’s just my girlfriend, you guys are being overdramatic” *has an entire album with pictures of you*

He’s not a big fan of PDA, nor is he physically affectionate. He shows his love through gifts and small, short texts like “eat” or “sleep” that may not seem meaningful, but you know that it’s just his way of saying “i fucking love you and you better take care of yourself”

He’s fucking rich so he gets you whatever you want

He’s usually quiet, but becomes a big chatterbox once you guys start talking about games. He talks the most when he’s with you, and he loves spending time with you.

He likes it when you put your head on his lap while he’s playing games, but he gets distracted by your gorgeousness and loses his game

Like I said before, he’s not into PDA but if there’s not that many people around/there’s too many people around, he’ll hold your hand. He’s much more intimate in private and loves cuddling with you.

His kisses are very soft and short, but they make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. He pecks your lips or kisses your forehead when you're sleeping.

He’s a little awkward when it comes to deep conversations, but he always manages to say what you want to hear.

Bro could not care less if another guy started talking to you. He doesn’t get jealous easily, but he’s willing to do anything to get you out of an uncomfortable situation. ‘Anything’ ranges from “c’mon, we’re gonna be late for dinner” and dragging you away to tripping the guy and making him fall flat on his face, then running away together.

Your guys’ first kiss was sort of forced upon by Kuroo. The stupid rooster boy was like “lol you guys should kiss if you're really dating” and you and Kenma stared at him and then at each other. There was a moment of silence, and Kenma just kinda kissed you on the cheek, and that was that. (“ON THE LIPS!” Kuroo had yelled “I MEANT ON THE LIPS!”) ┊┊❁ཻུ۪۪♡ ͎. ｡˚ 　　°

Kageyama:

Pretty shy when you guys started dating, but he’s warmed up to you now and he loves spending time with you

He knows everything about you, from your favourite colour to your favourite type of turtles. He always buys you your favourite drink at school, and makes mental notes whenever you say that you like/dislike something.

Like Kenma, he’s not a big fan of PDA and he’s not very physically affectionate either. He’s bad with his words as well, so his love language is mostly quality time and gift giving.

He’s rough (interpret that however you want)

He’s a pretty slow texter and he never checks his phone

At home, he’s fine with cuddles but he gets restless and wants to move after five minutes.

He doesn’t even hold your hand in public, unless there’s a lot of people around and he doesn’t want you to get lost

He’s the small spoon most of the time. I don’t know why, he just is.

You tutor him! He’s pretty stupid so you help him with his tests and stuff (unless you're stupid too.)

He’s pretty oblivious and doesn’t notice if a guy is flirting with you unless it's his teammates. When it comes to the other first years and second years, Kageyama blows a fuse when you’re hanging out with them and not him. He glares at everyone from behind you, making them all skedaddle.

Please be understanding of his volleyball obsession, if not he might break up with you

Pet names: [nickname] (that's it. he gets embarrassed when you use pet names on him, and he never really uses pet names on you)

Your guys’ first kiss was after his game against Bluecastle (the one that Karauno won). When the game ended, you screamed so loud that everyone stared at you, and you probably lept off the stands to go give Kageyama a kiss. Hinata, Noya, and Tanaka watched with envying eyes while Yachi squealed loudly. ┊┊❁ཻུ۪۪♡ ͎. ｡˚ 　　°

Akaashi:

This just in but this man would look so hot in a turtleneck–

Akaashi is very sweet and very attentive. He’s literally the definition of perfection. He redefines perfection. PERFECTION WANTS TO BE HIM

He listens to all your problems and offers you very constructive feedback, not holding back to expose you if you happen to be in the wrong. But he does it in a very polite and “i’m not trying to be mean, i’m just being honest” way so you never get mad at him

He makes all the meals, cleans the house, gives you a ride wherever you want, makes the bed, and does the laundry. He is literal husband material.

He doesn’t hate or love PDA. He’s fine with little kisses, holding hands, and back hugs, but he’d rather not do anything too intimate when there’s people around. That being said, once you guys are alone, he’s willing to go all out.

The Sweetest Note-taker

“CRISPR or Cas9 is short for clustered, regularly, interspaced…”

Akaashi quickly jots down what the professor says in his notes. Well they aren’t his notes. He looks over to his right. You are sitting with your head in your arms face down on the desk.

You had been complaining about your killer headache since last night. You told him that you had an important lecture the next day that you couldn't miss since the material would be on your next quiz. But you were having a challenging time focusing with your head throbbing.

Akaashi being the kind and observant boyfriend he is, took matters into his own hands and decided to follow you to class. As you were taking your normal route the next morning you assume that he is dropping you off, so you do not think much about him tagging along, not until you approach the doors of your lecture hall and both steps inside.

“Wait Keiji, what are you doing?” you ask sluggishly, feeling a dull pressure on your temples.

“Isn't it obvious? I'm gonna join your lecture.” he states matter of factly

“Uh, any particular reason?” you question, walking to your row.

“I thought it would be very informative, for me.”

“But you're a journalist major-”

“Let's take a seat.” He quickly interrupts.

You slide into your desk a bit perplexed and pull out your notebook and pens, you look to the front and can tell you will have a tough time comprehending the material, you rub the sides of your head and the professor is about to start when your notebook and pens are snatched from you. You look over to your left.

“Keiji what-”

“Don’t worry (Y/N) I'll take your notes for you.” he says.

You are about to object when he puts a finger to his mouth and shushes you with a little smirk, turning to pay attention to the professor who was now speaking.

You're gawking at him. You stay like that for a minute then smile. He is the sweetest person ever. You face forward in your desk and after a moment you put your head down and shut your eyes, faintly hearing your professor speak and Keiji furiously scribbling the material into your notes.

“Well, I can confidently say I did find your lecture informative, though I have a few questions about being able to edit the genes of a human being.” Akaashi says as he hands you back your notebook with 4 pages worth of lecture notes.

You giggle at his comment and look down at his notes, various doodles and pen scribbles are seen throughout and you can see it’s his same handwriting from high school. You grab his shoulder for leverage and kiss his cheek.

“Thank you for taking my notes Keiji you are the bestest boyfriend ever.” you say, already feeling your headache gradually ceasing.

“Of course (Y/N) anytime.” He smiles

“Though you may want to work on your handwriting.”

“Don't you start.”

Author Note: hellooo this is my first time writing a work on tumblr!! I've just been sort of a lurker since 2019 but decided I would try my hand at writing a little blurb. This is incredibly self indulgent as a bio student myself but thought this was cute. I hope the tenses makes sense while reading it. You start off in the present and the rest is what happened in the past and then you're in the present again! I might start posting more often because this was fun to write :)))

“Samu, it’s late. Let’s just warm something up from our fridge”, you suggest as you stumble in your heels, tripping over the length of your gown.

But Osamu doesn’t listen as he fumbles with the keys to the restaurant under your apartment, fidgeting with the lock till the door unlatches and creaks open. He turns to you, cheeks still flushed from the champagne you both indulged in earlier in the night, and brings you into his chest. Instinctively, your arms fall around his neck and he uses this moment to lift you up, carrying you across the threshold of his restaurant.

“But out of all nights, darling, tonight is a night we definitely shouldn’t be eating leftovers. You’re hungry; let me spoil you,” he replies, kissing your lips to prevent you from protesting.

Carefully weaving the two of you through his restaurant in the dark, he sets you down on a stool in front of the open onigiri bar before pushing into the kitchen and turning on the light. Slipping his familiar apron over his tux and sliding his baseball cap onto his head, he pulls out the necessary ingredients before he begins to form your favourite onigiri.

Tonight there’s a comfortable silence between the two of you, replacing the usual conversations you tend to fall into as he makes you both dinner after the store closes. The glint of his new jewelry prompts him to look up at you instead of the food in his hands; instantly, he’s mesmerized. Your right cheek is resting on the table, your left hand in the air, as you watch the light catch on your diamond ring and the new gold band sitting flush below it. Your hair has started to fall out from the pins that were hiking it in place, your lipstick is smudged at the corners of your lips from stolen kisses, your dress is wrinkled from a night of dancing and yet, Osamu can’t help but think this is the most beautiful you’ve ever looked.

“Order for Mrs.Miya,” he says as he slides the plate of food across the counter to you. You swipe a rice ball off of the plate, grinning as you take a bite.

“You really didn’t have to make anything,” you mumble between chews before adding, “Mr. Miya.”

“You’re my wife; it’s my job to take care of you.”

“Say that again,” you ask, reaching for the other rice ball.

Osamu’s face scrunches in confusion, “it’s my job to take care of you?”

“No, Samu, the other part!”

Catching your drift, he begins to smirk as he watches you pout while you wait for him to repeat himself. Your childishness, he finds, is endearing and he chuckles softly to himself as he slides off his apron and takes off his hat. Instead of hanging his hat on the waiting hook next to him, he slides it onto your head, tipping the brim of the cap down so that you can’t see his reddening cheeks.

“You’re my wife,” he whispers as if it’s a sacred prayer for only you to hear.

Osamu didn’t expect to spend his wedding night in his restaurant, but frankly, he couldn’t think of a better way to end the night.

A/N: This has been sitting in my drafts for way too long and I wanted it out. I will edit it later. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Osamu is the better Miya.

Sakusa comforts you when you think you’re annoying

Genre: comfort, domestic, established relationship

Contents: social anxiety, self deprecating, snack mention (Sakusa is a snack. jk but seriously but also food mentioned in the second paragraph)

You and Sakusa return home from a social engagement, which you felt like didn’t go well for you. You still feel raw and inflamed even, sore from the rejection that you imagined receiving from them. Who’s to say it wasn’t real? You don't know. You can’t tell. You assume rejection has already happened or is imminently happening from everyone. Why wouldn't you?

You look at the floor dully and ignore Sakusa’s proffered leftovers box with some sweets and snacks from the event.

“Hey, are you okay?”

You’re not okay, of course. But it’s not that easy to say that. And you’re still learning how to accept help. You’re still learning how someone asking if you need help isn’t them saying that you are weak. You’re still learning that “hey are you okay?” is not an accusation.

But because you are still learning all of this, it’s not that easy for you to answer directly or honestly. So instead, you ask, unhelpfully, “What do you mean?”

“I just was wondering if everything was okay,” he repeats, because what else is he supposed to do? You asked a stupid question. Of course! As always.

You swallow air in your dry throat as you stare up at him.

“If everything is okay, that’s great. And I love you, and I'm here to talk if you want to talk about anything.”

Of course you want to talk about stuff. You wonder where you should start. You stare at his hand (you want to hold it.)

You look up at him and you nod.

“You do want to talk?” he checks.

“Yes, please.”

“Okay.” He turns to completely face you. He is always turning to completely face you. He is always there for you and you are so grateful. Your heart cries (happily.)

“Do you want to sit?” he asks.

You nod again. You go to sit on the couch and he goes into the kitchen. He brings you both glasses of water and sits down beside you, his hair rustling, and his arm thrown around you.

“Is this okay?” he asks.

You nod.

“Good,” he says. “What’s up?”

You wish for a moment, that you both could change into comfy at home clothes before this conversation. He looks delectable in his going out wear, of course, but you want to snuggle into one of his soft sleep shirts.

You take a deep breath. Actually, that would be a great way to procrastinate on this conversation, right?

Well. Maybe later.

“Does everyone hate me?”

He blinks. Even though he probably should have known you would be like this, he is still surprised. He still forgets that you can't see yourself the way he sees you—he would never ever imagine that you would even wonder this kind of stuff about yourself. “No, why would you say that?”

“I just feel so stupid and dumb.”

“I’m sorry you feel that way, and I don’t want to invalidate your emotions, but you’re not.”

You huff. “Right. My feelings aren’t facts, but they are valid.”

“Right,” he says.

You look at him, displeased.

“It’s both,” he adds.

“That’s so confusing.”

He nods. “It doesn’t make sense. I love you.”

“I love you too.”

You look at him, hoping the hurt isn’t watering in your eyes too much. But you are really transparent, and he knows you, so you’re sure he can see everything. You can’t even figure out a not annoying way to broach the topic. You wish you could leave it at that, but there’s still more to go. “Am I annoying and awful?”

See? The most annoying way possible.

“No,” he says immediately.

You stare at him.

He arches his eyebrow at you speculatively, judgingly, but he also puts his hand on top of yours comfortingly.

Your heart pangs.

“Why do you want me to say yes?” he asks, seriously.

“Do you think I was annoying today?” you ask, voice tinny.

“No.”

“To everyone else, though?”

He squeezes your hand. “They didn't say anything to me. I don’t think they think that about you.”

You sigh. You were invited to the gathering. They wouldn't invite you if they didn’t like you. You hope you will continue to be invited. You wonder when you will feel like you aren’t on the precipice of being abandoned. Maybe never! That’s not a comforting thought, though.

“Do you think I’m annoying?”

“No. I love you. That's why I'm here.”

“But there are some things I do that are annoying?”

He looks displeased that you are trying to lead him to an answer, but he goes along with it anyway. “I guess. But I don't really think about it in that way. Do you think I'm annoying?”

This is a completely logical and reasonable flip to occur in the conversation, but you are still caught off guard. You are truly 😐🧍. “I mean. I don’t know.”

He can barely contain his smirk and it does make you mad a little bit, that he always seems to have the upper hand. You still love him. But it’s unfair.

“So you do think I'm annoying?” he asks.

“There are some things we do differently,” you say, pretending that you can be coy and outmaneuver him. You can’t.

“Right. And everyone does things differently. Like literally every person.”

“Right.”

“So all humans are annoying to everyone.”

“Maybe sometimes.”

“Is that okay?” he asks.

You really don’t know what you did to deserve this. A very calm and logical breakdown of why it doesn’t matter that you are annoying. Or whether you are or not is just a completely irrelevant question because you are surrounded by people who love you, so who cares?

You hate this. Why can’t everyone just hate you because that makes sense in your head? Instead they love you and forgive you and hang around even though you did nothing to deserve it. It’s not adding up.

Other people’s actions are not adding up. It would make you feel better if things made sense in your heart, and head. If you could trust what you were seeing with your eyes with what your internal beliefs are.

But maybe your internal beliefs have to change to match reality. Because you can’t keep living like this, doing this bad math. It’s not fun. It’s annoying.

“Yeah, I guess it’s okay.”

“Is it okay to not like someone 100% of the time?”

That’s where it’s getting you. It is scary. Which percent is going to be the percent where you get abandoned? You can’t be sure. You look at him. You know the “right” answer but you don’t believe it.

“100% seems like perfection,” he says. “Which is…” he looks at you meaningfully.

“Unrealistic?” you ask.

“Yeah.”

You sigh. “Okay.”

“Okay,” he says back.

You stare at him.

He pokes you in the belly.

“What?” you say. “How dare you?” you ask but he’s already poking you in the shoulder.

“Okay,” you say. “You’ve made your point.”

“I’m always right,” he says.

“You’re not even right about that, and we’re going to leave it there,” you say, jumping to your feet.

Or you would, except he completely intercepted you, and brought you back down to the couch, onto his lap. He pressed kisses to your cheek and neck, and you squirm halfheartedly, but you’re not actually trying to get away.

“I don’t think you’re annoying,” he repeated.

“Thank you.”

“I think you’re great, and I love you, and I love spending time with you.”

“Thank you.”

“I mean it.”

You sigh. Maybe it’s not the end of the world to be annoying. People really don’t like annoying people, though. But different people think different things are annoying. Anyone can be annoying to anyone. That’s compatibility.

within five minutes, the boys are completely surrounding the culprit, blocking off any potential exit as a human wall.

the man tries to defend himself, much to hinata's relentless yells

even going as far as blaming you for walking around alone and ignoring him earlier that day

that's when kageyama (the only one who has been silent this whole time) fix his steel eyes on him and shouts, "go AWAY!"

that startles him enough to actually back away and leave

at first, when fukunaga and inuoka found you chatting with them, they were silently cheering for you

(after all, they have spent countless hours listening to you rant about how you were the only one on the team with no game on the bus here)

but then they saw your quick glance at them and that awkward fixed smile and the two boys came to the rescue

immediately, fukunaga took the offensive and threw cheap pick-up lines with the person, even going so far as to kabedon him

flustered, the person lost their footing and actually backed away from you

at that point, inuoka slid between the gap and shielded you away from them until they're out of sight

the two of them finally look at you and ask whether you were alright and brought you back to the rest of the team who immediately gawked at fukunaga's flirting after they made sure you were alright

Thinking about Hinata and how he grows so much more accustomed to casually showing affection through touch after being in Brazil for two years, to the point that it becomes second nature to him. So much so that when he goes back to Japan, he has to tell himself to hold back a little.

But after two years of kissing people on the cheek to say hello and goodbye, it has become second nature to him. Instinct almost. It's mindlessly, the way he leans his head just a little to the side and lifts up his cheek to the air, expecting the overly exaggerated mwah sound to hit his ear, accompanied by a friendly peck on his face when his friends all start to bid each other goodbye. But it doesn't come, and before anyone can even see his awkward stance, Hinata is retreating back, more aware of his surroundings now.

Except that, when he is really tired, this realization doesn't come as soon as it should.

So, after a late night training session with MSBY that turned into a even later night training session with Atsumu, Bokuto and Sakusa, he can barely keep his eyes open, let alone make his brain poperly function. It's sluggish, the way he sling his bag over his shoulder and start to make way to each his friends and teammates. Hinata moves slowly and lightly, a barely there peck when he bids each of them goodbye.

Surprisingly, Atsumu doesn't react instantly. He just stands there frozen, a pink dusting his cheeks as he tries to process what happend. Sakusa looks...appalled, brain still shortcircuiting from the moment he saw Hinata stand on his tiptoes to reach his face. Bokuto is a giggly blush mess, whipping his head widly between the other two, as if to ask them: "what just happened?". All three are speechless, obviously being caught off guard by the kiss, just watching his figure lazily retreating out of the MSBY Gym.

Then realization hits Hinata like a freight train. His footsteps come to a halt, and he stands still, lettint it fully sink in for a second before turning back to his friends, frantically trying to explain himself.

So, when Hinata leaves for Asas São Paulo years later, it becomes a bit hard to explain to the newly hired team members why the team's main setter and two of the OH keep greeting each other with cheek kisses.

I think Suna ain't got thousands of followers like people think he might have. At least not before going pro. He got around 180/200 followers because he has a private account and only accepts requests from people he knows and have had a conversation with, so its mostly just his teammates, classmates, friends and family circle.

That doesn"t mean he isn't popular though, his dms are full of people who want him [literally same] but he doesn't want to deal with all that bs so he just never checks his insta dms.

Funnily enough, his following list is more than his followers because aside from following all the people who follow him, he also follows his favourite singers/bands and volleyball related and anime related shit 💀

Safe to say you were extremely pissed right now, which is actually not very safe to say.

Your family were going to have a night picnic for New Years and the dress your mother wanted you to wear was a weird cotton night gown looking skirt.

You tried to fight against it but dear mother gave the puppy eyes as she folded it away silently to guilt trip you, which worked.

What can you say? You were an empath aww.

You and Tsumu were currently at the little restaurant near your school. It had always been a spot to hide for the two of you.

Tough day at school? Go there. He wants to hide from Kita? He drags you there. Hungry? Run there. First date? Also there. That place was like the refrigerator for you two, automatically going there without even any purpose now.

You both even had a regular customer discount there now, honestly? Good for you guys. Not to mention you and Atsumu both were good at buttering and sweet talking the owners out there you guys were basically their grandchildren now.

You were at your phone, your elbow on the table as your cheek leaned on your hand. You were reading urban legends. Atsumu didn't like this at all, he wanted you to chatter non-stop like everyday but looking at how you were tapping your foot. He knew it. He knew you were definitely not in the mood to tolerate any sort of crap.

So he silently cursed 'Tch what a weirdo.'

However you unfortunately heard that even in the noise of the utensils and the pressure cookers whistles. "The hell you just said now?" You looked at him and raised your eyebrow.

He just sucked his cheeks and looked away quickly. "Don't try me I'm not in the mood today." You warned him and he turned to you immediately and looked you in the eyes smiling like an idiot "Yer not telling me what happened I needa know what's bothering ya sugar" You sighed "Forced to wear some weird outfit by......you know"

And the next thing you knew you were in your house as the said gown is in Atsumu's hands "What do ya mean??? It's FINE" of course it wasn't a fine gown at all but Atsumu just wanted you to feel less embarassed about it "Yanno what? Wait right here." He just headed to some other rooms like that he's lucky your parents were going to be busy at the funeral of a distant friend of theirs for a few days.

You didn't even question where he was gonna go you were too tired so you just sat down and started texting your friend and rant to her.

"TA- DA!" He came out of nowhere.

You looked up from your phone and-

"pfft-" you started laughing, Atsumu wore the gown good thing it was strap gown else it wouldn't have fit him. It did yet the top part tightening around his flat figure was so hilarious to witness.

"whAT?? I look good in it!? Better than you atleast ??" You wiped a tear "ohh- hh definitely not-" he started posing and catwalking "If it looks this good on me it'll definitely look even better on ya duh"

"Stand there let me take a pic and send it to my mom" you raised your phone jokingly "wait- what? AUNTIE!? NO- NOPE" he covered himself with his hands in such a comedic manner. You got up and wrapped your arms around his waist then played with his hair "Why are you like this?" You smiled "Yer even weirder...you scare me sometimes" he pouted.

You sighed and layed a finger in his chest "This fits you well" he grabbed your cheeks and started lightly shaking your head "Then it will fit ya even perfectly."
