i feel like a lot of the 'i hate kids' crowd would be more tolerant if they understood that due to a kid's limited experience of the world that 4 hour flight might just be the longest they've ever had to sit still for or that trapped finger might literally be the most pain they've ever felt in their short life or they might not have ever seen a person with pink hair ever so of course they want to touch it or nobody's told them yet that they can't run around the museum and they only just learned cheetahs are the fastest animals so of course they want to put that to the test. how were they supposed to know etc etc.

#like majority of the time kids are not just 'being naughty'. they have big feelings inside little bodies it's a lot #also like.#it should be illegal to dye your hair fun colours if you aren't prepared for kids in public to ask if youre related to a my little pony #EDIT: the notes on this post are an absolute cesspool. i don't care about your reasons for hating kids you sound like a disney villain

#my art stuff #digital art #undertale #sans #human #humanization #gajinka #finally drew a human sans I’m happy with without copying someone else’s #I wanna do mars as well soon but I’m still figuring out how to deal with the sharp features #I can’t believe I forgot to post this the other day #I should draw a papyrus soon #I am gonna be completely honest and say that I’m terrified of drawing people of colour because I don’t know many personally #and looking things up can only take you so far. especially with mixxed info everywhere #and I’m prolly the most “woke” person in my family and I have a racist dad so it’s not like anyone of them would know any better #I just drew some hair that looked nice to me and picked a skintone that looked nice and gave him hazel eyes literally just cus I think they #’re pretty (and heterochromia on top of that but that’s just a sans vibe)#I know nothing about textured hair care so I couldn’t pic a style based on ease or anything etc etc #so if anybody has any thoughts on how to improve him. it’s not that serious but i guess my issue with the kinda newish (not really) wave of people who engage or create batfam content without reading the comics is that while, yeah, they may claim “it’s fandom it’s supposed to be fun!” but i think it’s also fair for people who actually read comics to say “it’s kinda bad that the fandom for COMIC BOOK CHARACTERS has become controlled and dominated by people who don’t read comics” like i’m not even really into batman comics, im more of a vertigo person myself, but like the idea of joining a fandom because you like and enjoy the source material, and you want to find a community of people who feel the same, but the fandom is full of people who barely know the story, characters, and arcs but act as though they do. and they do this while spreading misinformation about the source material so widely that the actual source material begins to reflect the fanon version of it…… like that’s just such a wild chain of events and tbh no wonder batman fans who read comics get so mad about it

Yeah like I'm not the type of person who wants to police how people have fun I think that's bullshit but it kinda makes it really difficult for people who do just want to read fics or find character analysis of the actual canon characters when half the people making this content haven't read the comics and are working off at this point ocs with the same names

I think it also creates issues when you're trying to have a conversation with someone about comics and it becomes this almost minefield as you try to figure out if this person has actually read the comic or if all their information is from second hand sources bc it's not unreasonable for people to read the source material and then not remember every detail later on or have their own fanon takes or just their own opinions and having a conversation with someone who hasn't read the original comics but acts like they have makes that conversation a wee bit harder and less fun for everyone involved

Me, an intellectual: given people's hair tends to darken as they grow and Neil hasn't actually seen his natural hair (aside from the roots which will look differently when the rest of your hair is dyed) since he was a child - it darkened to auburn as he grew but he never noticed because... its Neil and when it grows out fully only then will he actually be able to tell
