HEY GENUINELY CURIOUS what kind of braids are these? they seem like cornrows to me but i can't be entirely sure since they tend to kind of spread out a bit on the scalp. any help is greatly appreciated 🕺
I am trying to figure out how to take care of my body. I'm struggling with skin and hair, would sincerely appreciate any advice.
My hair doesn't like to lie perfectly flat but it lies straightish most of the time, curling beneath my ears, and becoming a mess with it dries. One brother has very thick but loosely curly hair, one has a little bit of curl at their ends and had curly hair as a kid, I had extremely frizzy birds nest hair as a kid that my baby sitter helped me maintain with tight braids(when they dried my hair would become a mix of very loose ringlets and heavy waves for days), my grandma had curls
My hair has gotten straighter and a little more manageable after I cut it/as I've gotten older
But I seriously can't tell if my hair is just straight because of damage/oil/improper care, or if it's just weird straight hair. When I do a strand test around a pencil it usually becomes a coil, around my pinky it becomes more of a wiggly shape
I very likely have a connective tissue disorder that seems to affect my nails and hair. It makes my hair brittle, prone to shedding, and prone to breaking. My hair is also very oily at the scalp and I have problems with dandruff but find dandruff shampoos unpleasant. It tends to alternate between extremely dry and extremely oily very fast.
I have very fine hair.
I am willing to invest money and effort into taking care of my hair. But I have no idea where to start or what products to buy, nor anybody to help me. Any kind of help would be extremely appreciated.
Update - Cadance arrived last night, but her mane and tail are in horrible condition and I'm afraid to use water because I know she's an electronic pony. She's also got some strange markings on her body and I know from my childhood Cadance that they are not part of the pony. It also seems that this particular Cadance model has a problem with the head being loose enough to rotate freely on its own. Anybody know how I can fix this rat's nest without damage to the pony's electronics?
Curly hair has less curly curls when compared to curly hair, as its curvatures are very closed. For the same reason, they are much drier, brittle and fragile.
Type 4A: The big difference between this type and the previous one is the texture when wet. Type 4A keeps the curls, while type 3C is more wavy. Other points of differentiation are: the 4A tends to be curled from the root of the hair and has even more volume;
Type 4B: It is of thinner thickness, with high density and sometimes brittle. Here, the curls are small, in a “zigzag” format, maintain an expressive volume, but are not always naturally defined;
Type 4C: thinner and more fragile, 4C hair also has a “zigzag” shape, however, it has almost no definition and volume is its hallmark.
I’m the only wavy haired girl in my family. My sisters and mom’s hair is bone straight. I get my hair from my dad who keeps it short.
I have no idea how to take care if it. When it first dries from the shower it looks great. But the next day it’s a disaster. I can’t brush it without it turning into a giant poof. I want to love my wavy hair but right now it’s just a frustration and I keep it up 90% of the time.
My hair looks like this but with less volume on top.
Does anyone have any advice for removing orange color from hair? I’m trying to go more blonde but the orange is very persistent, I have used blue shampoo and toner but does anyone have product recommendations?
