INTRODUCTION POST: SASAKO HAISE.

You could call this an AU.

The CCG’s Black Reaper is a young person with a mysterious background adopted at an early age by the White Reaper - Arima Kishou with the intention of grooming and raising them to be the one to kill the One-Eyed King and take his place. Due to the purpose and burden they were handed by their father-figure, as well as the treatment granted, Sasako lack a sense of self and a solid identity. They are apathetic and amoral, time and time again alienating the other investigators with their responses and personality.

Sasako looks almost identical to their canon counterpart except slightly fuller lips and just barely longer hair. Other notable differences are the opposite fat distribution in their muscular frame that they try to flatten and conceal - being rather bottom heavy. They have many scars on their body due to having been human their entire life and having kept up with the White Reaper since their mid-ish teens. They wear red gloves to hide the scars they gained during captivity by the Aogiri Tree and sometimes dabble in minimal makeup - mostly to hide their dark eyebags or to appease their co-workers in appearing “lady-like”.

Half-Ghoul AU: After being hit by a truck to save a dog that was in its way, Sasako was hospitalized and woke up in a wheelchair, three out of four limbs completely maimed and broken. Oddly enough, a couple hours later when they got a visitor, Sasako noticed themselves having already mended their broken elbow. Instead... gold and wine colored scales started growing out the wound. They quickly realized that something was wrong when symptoms of what Arima had told them about “ghoulification” started appearing, making an escape at the third night of their stay as their body was completely operate-able. Sasako does not fully know how to use their kagune or how to even activate it without external help, and are wandering the streets of Tokyo trying to figure out whether or not they should hand themselves over to the CCG. In this AU - all injuries inflicted turn into bruises that grow scales and heal very slowly. The bruise on the NECK is the only bruise that did not scale-over and does not heal. Something is deeply wrong with that one...

SOME NOTES: - Sasako is AFAB but they identify as QUESTIONING. She/he/they are all going to be fine with them although she/her can make them snappy on days where their dysphoria is worse than usual. - They are very muscular, much like the canon Black Reaper. Again, it is only the fat distribution that’s different. Sasako LIFTS in their human verse, and even was Urie’s workout buddy. - In their AU, Kaneki Ken was never captured at Route V14. Arima ordered them to keep an eye on him but if his interest will not be piqued, the two of them stick with crowning Sasako as originally planned when they were adopted. This means Sasako was the Quinx leader and went through the Auction and Rosé. - Sasako knows everything about Arima’s plan. They are part of the Arima Squad and therefore are fully in on the plan. - They have no real name or birthdate, all granted to them by Arima. For that reason, they are considered 23 years old at the current timeline.

my favorite tokyo ghoul "normal" AUs are the ones where haise and kaneki are like twins/brothers separated at birth something.... very good. i imagine they reunite again later in life.

haise is a sous-chef... he volunteers at the local university in his free time giving motivational speeches and helping run a club of some kind. it's the university he went to for his culinary degree. i think the club is how he knows the quinx. any ideas for what kind of club he runs?

kaneki is a literature teacher at a junior high school. he gets along well with the kids, they really like him. he's a very relaxed, caring and understanding teacher. he's very well respected. hide teaches music courses at the same high school. him and kaneki live together, and the students theorize about them being together but they've never confirmed it (they are).

haise has a crush on the barista at the café he frequents. it's touka, but he's always too nervous to ask her out. they are friends though. he's trying to convince her to go back to school, because she had previously dropped out of university.

haise also does drag imo... sasako is his drag persona.

The Furutui toxic co-dependent self-destructive accidental-mutually-beneficial relationship (this user dont know the order of adjectives in English) kinda activate something in my brain and I'm still not sure if it's good or bad.

HouTaki and TataTaki, I'm certain that I'll never be into them. While I don't ship any ship involve Houji or Tatara, I did play with the ideas and chemistries of certain ships but the two above are not one of them.
