@darksidelightside tagged me to post my 9 favourite characters for you to guess my type. Thanks for tagging me! That sounds like fun.
Rags, The Wandering Inn
John Granby, Temeraire
Ai Imajo, number9dream
Verity Kindle, To say nothing of the Dog
Sokka, Avatar: The last Airbender
Samwise Gamgee, The Lord of the Rings
Hakram "Deadhand" of the Howling Wolves, A practical Guide to Evil
Anne Bonny, Black Sails
Roronoa Zoro, One Piece
Choosing only 9 characters was kinda hard. I had to leave out so many awesome ones and probably forgot twice as many.

A Practical Guide to Evil Fanart.
I present: The Artwork that I Abandoned Several Times.
Originally started around september 2021. Then I got annoyed at the punchline not working, and abandoned it at sketch stage. I dusted it off again around January 2022, and redid the ending. Then I got stuck on Hakram's frame and got distracted by drawing pretty horses instead.
So yeah. Finally done. Enjoy.

I sing of Spring, come Winter deep. I sing of a dream beyond sleep. The world was fair, when I was young, My grip was strong, my fang was long, And never did my axe falter. The days were long in Summer sun, Even sorrow sweet in battles won, And never did my hand linger. I bore a crown once, of iron hewn, Earned riding under Autumn moon. And never did my heart waver. Spring passed into Summer song, Then Summer into Fall, headlong, And I know what waits after. I sing of Spring, come Winter deep. I sing of a dream beyond sleep.

Reading the last practical guide update has mee feeling things
Just... The fact that Hakram became the Adjutant when he felt hollow and needed someone to guide him and then lost the Name when he finally found a cause that spoke to him...
The fact that Catherine has repeatedly distanced herself from him because it was necessary and she could trust him to act independently so of course he ends up cutting ties to her when it becomes necessary for him... I just

The Warlord thought of a moonlit oath, then, and part of him felt like weeping.
But it was done, raised and buried.

Rest Well Earned
In spring, I learned to wield a blade
Unmarred by the mistakes I'd made
Long before the skies had greyed
I'd thought I'd known of peace
In summer, I was asked to fight
For king and crown and royal right
A flame within my heart, alight
To bring back hope and peace
Like leaves in Autumn, soldiers fell
Whose tales were left with none to tell
On fields in which the crows now dwell
They call the silence peace
As Winter comes, I feel it's chill
The war is done, the bodies still
And yet, I've one last grave to fill
Only then can I know peace

The man was the kind of clever that thought receiving stab wounds was an acceptable step in a plan, which was by far the stupidest kind of clever.

Fuck, I thought as I fell, and I raised my staff to try to slap aside the mace blow but it was going to be tricky and-
And three hundred pounds of orcish fury smashed into the Mantle, Hakram Deadhand snarling as he tackled her through a door so hard splinters went flying.
THATS MY BABY!!!! YESSSSSS HAKRAM I LOVE YOU YOURE DOING GREAT

still thinking about Hakram Deadhand. because of how the overarching the plot became in book 6, guide fundamentally became about how the characters’ arc fit into the war against keter. book 7 feels like the opposite - it’s about how the war in praes molds every character’s arc.
Hakram is fascinating because he’s doing what Cat did in book 1, but with far more wisdom and experience. “who else is going to do this”, he asks himself. “who can i trust to lead my people where they deserve to go?”
something i think is very sharp is how he forces the split trees to acknowledge the harsh truth that they cannot separate from praes. the orc tribes can’t cut off the legions of terror or the trade that the tower brings. i don’t think this is the text telling us that this is an inevitable result of colonisation and oppression. i think this is the text telling us that Hakram thinks it’s better than the other options.
Vivienne would have told the Tower to go fuck itself, and she’d be right. but Hakram’s going to approach it, steel in hand, and make his demands as calmly and coldly as he can.
and he’s right, too.

A Practical Guide to Evil Fanart - Modern Au Pastel Goth thing...
Born from joking too much about pastels on the Discord server, and me wanting to just do pretty things. I went for pastel goth, but Indrani admittedly probably is closer to pastel punk.
I reused old art from this, because I just wanted to draw clothes, so you may recognize the bases from the swimwear AU picture. ;)
Also, my bad sense of humour loves that Viv is mainly black in this while everyone else got mostly pastels (well, Indrani would have been mostly pastel. If she'd cover up decently like a person with actual modesty).

I supposed it would have been a little absurd for the Squire to require a squire of her own, I reflected with a snort.
well, about that lmao

A Practical Guide to Evil AU Swimwear Edition - After the last few chapters, I think we all can use something silly to cheer us up.
It really started with me sketching things out in the style I've made some sketchbook ballpoint pen things in lately. Then the most horrific silly inspiration struck me. And now you all get to have these ideas put into your heads as well...
Give it five minutes, then the crows will demand for Cat to stay in the shade for the rest of the day.
Indrani probably brought a wetsuit to put on, after the shock of having wardrobe malfunctions have gone old for the rest of the group. And yeah, that part is obviously aimed at everyone else. She's very aware Masego at best would offer to help her fix her bikini with magic, or find something more practical for her to wear.

Fifteenth Army Lineup - Late Book 3 - So many characters...
This will probably be the last of these. At least for the entire Fifteenth (and no, that's not a joke about it evolving into Callow's Army. There's simply too many characters by now).
And yeah, again some stuff reused from earlier, because I'm not that insane.
I have to say, though, slowly making Pickler juuust a little larger for ever one of these was kind of fun.
Also, Talbot's armour was pretty fun to do.
I also really should do something about those lacking fonts on my new computer, and import the fonts from my old one to the new one.

Practical Guide to Evil Fanart.
I've spend way too long on this. Also, I never want to draw that chair again. Hakram, please get better really, really soon!
That said, I found it hard to believe he wouldn't still drag his axe along. And one thing lead to each other. Ending in this.
