Summary: Blake smiles, and it’s one of the saddest things Yang’s ever seen. “I’m pretty sure we know each other in other lives. And not just one or two. I think we’ve been together many, many times.”
And Yang, who doesn’t believe in any of these things, who makes fun of ghost stories and astrology and crystal balls, looks Blake right in the eye and says, “Yeah, I think you’re right.”

S: Any fandom tropes you can’t resist?
I am ALL about finding solace in one another and two people who might be battling their own issues finding a safe place to land and someone they can trust with all their heavy stuff. That is my crack. Otherwise I like tropes that are pretty basic: Friends/enemies to lovers, fake dating, there is only one bed?!? The usuals
T: Any fandom tropes you can’t stand?
Teacher/student or any other power imbalance romance along those lines. Also not so much a trope, but I have no time for major character death.
U: Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much.
twelveclara/explosivesky because duh? She is the bumbleby fic writing god which is a well known fact in the fandom. As for why I would have to say there is something so captivating about HOW she writes. There’s poetry to her writing, analogies, and this heavy emotion that you can’t help but get wrapped up in. I think the first fic of hers I read was “you’ve got me seeing stars” and I was just amazed that I spent half the fic reading from clueless Sun’s perspective and still GOT what was going on between Blake and Yang and then reading it first hand was just UGH. Like her stories just bleed emotion and the way it reads on the page is mesmerizing. It reads with ease which is not always easy to do.
pugoata is another author who I will read anything from pretty much. Her fics have such an atmosphere about them and she never has to belabor us with tons of heavy descriptions or dense paragraphs of observation without being able to feel like you are in the story. It marvels me how much her writing completely translates me to another location without me even realizing it. Along with that her characters are so raw and there’s struggles but there are also so many gentle and happy times in her fics and they can just be so wonderful to read.
blakebellafuckingdonna/halcyonlight is another because I LOVED the weight of memory and her follow up to it. They are both just so good?? I feel like her fics can be the whole package of plot balanced with characters and imagery and it all has this flow that ties together so nicely. Her writing is crisp without sacrificing elements of storytelling and her characters feel so real as you read them that you get a feel for tones and voices easily. There was a distinction between how she writes Blake and Yang that is very clear and I think sometimes with multi-POVs that can be hard to achieve but in that story it was done flawlessly.
So that just turned into me gushing pretty much and I know probably everyone has already read/heard of these authors which is boring but I have limited time to read fic especially multiple fics from the same author. I will say I’m also enjoying what I’ve read from CarmillaAndStuff,  JourEtNuit, and lightsaroundyourvanity
V: If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose?
To sound completely like a broken record, I would love to read more of you’ve got me seeing stars by explosivesky. There’s not much in universe fic I read for RWBY but I really liked this canon divergence and even though it ended beautifully I could happily read more.

Summary:  It all rushes back at once, a blur, a hurricane: the way Yang touched her, the way it ripped the universe apart, the way she lit a match and caught their lives on fire. There’s no going back from this. Blake doesn’t even want to think about the possibility.
[This takes place during my other fic, The Weight of Memory, when Yang & Blake are in college. You don't need to have read it :) ]

Summary:  They do need to talk, they definitely do, about roughly a million things; about those long moments by the waterfall, their hair damp with sea spray. About their sidelong glances in the airship. About the way their hands lock together automatically now whenever there’s any slight sign of uncertainty, about the first night in Atlas when they fell asleep side by side on the couch, Blake’s head resting gently on Yang’s shoulder. Tension coils in Yang's stomach.
They have all the time in the world to talk.
