G-Man AU in which the player is actually Gordon Freeman because hyper-fixation is kicking in.

I am imagining G-Man to be this ethereal being who of course knows everything inside and outside of the universe, I imagine him to be self aware and just simply wanting to help everyone but of course he can't, he's simply unable to because of the rules of the game. He knows it's simply just a game, and he's trying to let the player know what is truly going on, but because the player is being so sucked into the game itself it's super difficult for him to do so because the players mind is already being warped and twisted into the game's files and systems, and G-Man doesn't want this to happen because he's went through the exact same thing, and has been trapped in this confined space for hundreds of years, so he doesn't want the same thing to happen to an innocent player such as yourself.

He tries and tries and tries to warn you, but because your mind is already warped and molded into this melted fragment of a shattered piece that was once your mind, it seems to be of no use. This disappoints G-Man, but of course, he doesn't give up. He's not the kind of thing to give up so easily. So he finds you. He rewires you. He names you. Your name? Gordon Freeman. He places you in stasis to keep you safe. But it's not enough. After a while, he realizes that you are no longer the person you once were. You are now just an empty shell of the person you once were. You hear a familiar voice.

"Rise and shine, Mr. Freeman. Time to wake up and smell the ashes."

You awake. The start of a new beginning. Or maybe a new end. Nobody, not even you will truly know. He saved you. He rescued you. But will you remember? Will you wake up? Will you find out the truth? Will you be happy? Are you happy?
