A few weeks ago, after one of our current D&D sessions, our DM (the same one from our previous NaCl campaign) started talking about some early plans he had for the previous campaign. One of these plans involved us helping a "collector" of various monsters, which would have culminated in him capturing our druid friend Edan, with the intent to trap him and steal some of his Solar powers. Thankfully this plotline never happened because we shattered a pocket dimension and rescued Edan before the plans would have gone into motion, but it was a lovely, angsty plotline.
And well, after playing Baldur's Gate 3, it was basically a Dame Aylin situation, and I couldn't leave the idea alone. So, I had to doodle something, but kinda with the idea of a similar plot happening after the campaign finished. Hey, a girl's gotta draw self-indulgant stuff some of the time, right?

PATHFINDERS - The Halfling Bard
As I've said many times before, in this same series of drawings, bards are much more than the musicians in an eternal state of lasciviousness and wanting to get laid with everyone, something that they tend to be seen especially by older RPG players. The historical inspiration of the bards includes true human archives, responsible for preserving knowledge, whether of the places where they live or of a specific noble family to which they are linked - William Shakespeare is often called "the English bard" precisely because of this. Furthermore, they do not always need to be linked to musical performances, they can be dancers, actors and, in this case, orators.
I built the idea of this character a little together with my cousin when I made him a Halfling Bard, with a special focus on the oratory aspect and also on the social history of Halflings - in the original idea it was with D&D 3.5e in mind, not Pathfinder 2e, but which ended up fitting here too -, generally shown as a people without a land to call theirs, seen as inferior beings by other societies. Perhaps with this specific bard, using the magical item of a phoenix feather used as a "pen", he will do just that, uniting his people in squares in large urban centers under the banner of an ideology that will free them from oppression - something that is much more obvious in the original drawing, but I hid it here just for better aesthetics.

🌻✨The Lady of the Towers✨🌻
Tumblr media
The Lady Alusys Prulove of the Towers portraied as the Empress Tarot. For my dear friend @vesprynna as a supporter gift on ko-fi ❤️
The empress is a strong, feminine and motherly figure. A kind and wise ruler who have traveled, studied and learned, who readily offer her advice to guide others. Her symbol of power is the lyre, representing her connection to magic and culture. She is crowned by 12 stars, connecting her to the cosmos and the greater wisdom of the gods. Surrounding her is Peonies and Sunflowers, who symbolize prosperity, good fortune, wealth, happiness and unwavering faith.
This was such a joy to work on. I am always delighted to draw Alusys so when Vespy asked me to draw her I was delighted 🥰 Thank you so much for the support!

Olliander's party is descending into chaos. What a thing it is to be one of the only non-wererats in the crowd. FULL MOON SESSION TONIGHT! FIRST FULL MOON FOR MOST OF US! And the plan is to get revenge on the rats who made us this way!
Thomattacus, Flint, Runa & Wiles, Mox, Olliander, Inkri, Toross, and Georgi. There are more, but these are the regulars.

Been trying to get some shots of Starling, my NB Halfling Bard. But every situation is very concerning to them (to be fair, a nautiloid and the githyanki creche are indeed pretty concerning).

A little doodle I did a few weeks ago, after it was confirmed in our D&D game that Jemima and Edan had canonically gotten married and had kids. So, here’s an older Jemima and her son Alon.

After 3 years and one EPIC final battle that lasted well over 20 rounds, our D&D campaign finally concluded on August of this year. The feels were real and the ending was bittersweet. And during that time we've made some really special life-long friends. I originally drew this as a holiday gift for the group in December of 2021, but it also works as a great stand-in for the times we spent together playing this remarkable adventure. Thank you Danelle, Robyn, Leila and Gareth for being the best humans <3
