Halloween festival type thing on some island and the Strawhats separate for a bit to resupply and stuff with plans to regroup when the festival officially starts. Luffy is dressed “as a pirate!” (Meaning a cliche captain’s coat and tri-corn hat over the straw hat, with a dinky fake cutlass at his hip and an eyepatch) with zero self-awareness or irony. Zoro strolls along beside him in the Hooded Black Cloak Of Indeterminate Costume known by lazy bastards everywhere.

When they get to the festival ground and start looking for their crew they find Usopp first, sitting near the entrance, wearing sandals, shorts, a red vest and a straw hat. Luffy laughs his ass off.

Then Chopper comes toddling over with Nami, both of them also wearing shorts, red vests, and straw hats. “Meat!” Chopper demands. The other Luffies (fake and real) all join in the chant “Meat! Meat! Meat!”

Sanji, Franky, and Robin are all near the buffet table, also dressed as Luffy. By this point Luffy is folded in half and barely on his feet from laughing so hard. Franky declares a “Suuuuuper gum guuuum rocket!” Before preforming a maneuver that’s less launching himself at his Nakama and more pulling them in towards him, but Luffy will allow it because 1) this is hilarious and 2) he likes hugs

He turns at the sound of an approaching Jinbe, and is once more reduced to delighted, crying laughter at the sight of Jinbe’s Luffy costume…

And Zoro’s, when he shrugs off the cloak and takes the extra hat from Jinbe’s outstretched hand.

Edit I FORGOT TO MENTION BROOK but obviously he’s here and he’s Luffy too

"Scary, isn't it?"

Finished an art piece about the Scary Godmother series both in books and tv movies. It took me a while for reasons i explained before (i think) but at least i did a good job.

Also ignore the efortless clouds i did on digital. Those didn't ended how i wanted lol. And my apologizes if i didn't finished on the promised days, but at least i managed to make it done this week and in Januray as i wanted on Traditional yesterday.

Medieval torture methods, you say?

there are some really bizarre ones (under a read more for obvious uh. you know. graphic descriptions/imagery/blood/torture etc. this is truly not for the faint of heart)

i just found this youtube vid where some guy walks though basically the entire medieval torture museum in chicago. again. warning for graphic content as if the thumbnail image isn't clear enough on that.

all sorts of devices and machines in this video. i like that this museum shows the rat basket torture method (timestamp 15:50). it's something i saw in another youtube vid a long time ago and had never heard of before, and i found it particularly disturbing, but i havent seen another mention of it since (until now).

the blood eagle and the brazen bull are two other methods i find SUPER scary. none of the videos i glanced through today doubted the legitimacy of the brazen bull, but ive seen other sources that say it is only a legend and there's no historical record of it ever actually being built.

on a side note one of my fun/disturbing torture facts gives more background on the bible! ive actually had to explain this to my dad and multiple other people.

In esther 5:14, haman builds a pole 75ft tall to impale mordecai (in other translations ive seen 75ft gallows but we will focus on the pole this time around). a lot of people ask: isn't that height excessive?

it is! that's the point. impalement poles were conical in shape. the tip came to a sharp point, and the base was however large it needed to be to accommodate the height of the pole and the slope of the point. when a person was thrown onto it, they usually didn't die immediately. it was a slow, painful death. part of the pain was from gravity pulling the body further down on the pole. the further down your body was pulled, the more excruciating the death was, since the pole became thicker and tore you open more and more.
