I haven't been watching the series sequel to inuyasha, but before you all jump on Koga band wagon. I think you should remember he's the literally reason Rin and Sesshomaru met in the first place. Koga killed her entire village of humans, and then his wolves mauled her to death.

Had she not died, sesshomaru wouldn't have had to revive her. Meaning they wouldn't have met. So, this is all Koga fault.

Toonami Airs Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon Anime on June 26

The official Facebook page for Adult Swim's Toonami programming block announced on Tuesday that the block will begin airing Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon (Han'yō no Yasha Hime), the Nonton Anime TV spinoff of Rumiko Takahashi's Inuyasha series, on June 26 at 1:00 a.m. EDT (effectively, June 27).

The full lineup for June 26 includes:

12:00AM – My Hero Academia 12:30AM – Dr. Stone: Stone Wars 1:00AM – Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon 1:30AM – Food Wars! The Third Plate 2:00AM – Black Clover 2:30AM – Naruto Shippūden 3:00AM – Attack on Titan 3:30AM – Dragon Ball Super

The anime premiered in Japan in October 2020. Viz Media began streaming the anime with English subtitles on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu on the same day in North and Latin American territories. Funimation is partnering with Viz Media to release the anime's English dub.

Viz has the rights "to the digital streaming, EST, and home video" of the anime in North and Latin American territories. The company describes "the brand new anime from the Inuyasha universe":

The daughters of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha set out on a journey transcending time! In Feudal Japan, Half-Demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi's brother, Sota, and his family.

Ten years later, the tunnel that connects the two eras has reopened, allowing Towa to be reunited with Setsuna, who is now a Demon Slayer working for Kohaku. But to Towa's shock, Setsuna appears to have lost all memories of her older sister.

Joined by Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, the three young women travel between the two eras on an adventure to regain their missing past.

Teruo Sato (Inuyasha episode director) directed the anime at Sunrise, and Katsuyuki Sumisawa was in charge of the series scripts after doing the same for Inuyasha and Mobile Suit Gundam Wing. Takahashi herself was credited as the main character designer, with Yoshihito Hishinuma (Yakitate!! Japan, City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eyes) returned from Inuyasha to adapt her designs for animation. Kaoru Wada (3x3 Eyes, Battle Angel, The File of Young Kindaichi) was also back from Inuyasha to compose the music.

The anime's Ni no Shō (Part II) sequel will premiere this fall.

Takahashi launched the original Inuyasha manga in Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1996, and ended it in 2008. Viz licensed and published all 56 volumes of the manga in North America.

The 167-episode Inuyasha anime series based on the manga ran from 2000-2004. A 26-episode sequel anime titled InuYasha: The Final Act then ran from 2009-2010. The series has inspired four movies and a 30-minute anime short. Viz began releasing the anime on Blu-ray Disc in 2019.

The franchise has also recently inspired a smartphone game and a stage play.
