Princess Grace’s Girl Scout Handbook that she used as a little girl growing up in Philadelphia, PA. Copyrighted 1940, the book is undeniably Grace Kelly’s, her name stenciled in red ink in the center of the front free endpaper and again in the top right corner of the page.
Following the title page is the “This is My Book” page, filled out completely in the hand of Grace Kelly. “Grace Kelly” is written at the top in blue ink. It is dated “March 1940” and the additional date of “April 1940” was added, denoting the date she became a Girl Scout. Furthermore her name and address are written as “Grace P. Kelly 3901 Henry Ave. Phila., Pa.” Her position as a Girl Scout is filled in as “Patrol Leader” and her troop number was “2115.” The original cloth cover and binding are in Good condition, contents are overall Excellent.

(He met his wife while a stewman in an ether factory. She was a swab girl. The handbook just says they were bonded by the spirit of industry ... but if this interpretation is correct, they met as colleagues. Took heart to each other as colleagues.)

"Endow in each swing of your ax or swipe of your pen the sum of your affections, that through me they may be purified and returned. No higher purpose may be found than this. Nor any higher love."

Two books I always carried with me during my internship were
Oxford handbook of clinical medicine
Washington manual of internal medicine
During my internship (2020) I did not own an iPad and Davison/Harrison would just be too heavy. I borrowed an old edition Washington manual from a library and used to refer to the book before buying to this edition of oxford’s handbook. I feel both the books are crisp and clear for clinical medicine. I would read them during my 24/36 hour shifts and on non-admission days. These books are not for any competitive exams ( a lot of my friends and juniors don’t appreciate these handbooks just because of this) but sure do serve as a more essential and practical guide. Reading them made me feel less clueless about the cases I was dealing with. Reading and orienting myself about the case just before the rounds helped me understand better. This handbook was very helpful while I was a JR in medicine, that too when you work in a government set up that is not a medical college there aren’t enough seniors to guide you. I used these handbooks for quick reviewing without having to spend a lot of time reading a topic.

Do you remember when search engines used to be good and actually work? Now they're just middlemen between you and wikipedia or amazon/goodreads or quora or pinterest.
I'm looking for a list of novels with the words guide or handbook in the title, and not a single search engine seems capable of finding any such lists on the entire internet. Not google, not bing, not duckduckgo, nothing. Are you telling me I'm the first human being in recorded history to ever wonder about books with either of those words in the title? I didn't expect to find a list with both, but I can't even find any lists with either word by themselves! If I google "list of books with the word guide in the title," I instead get a goodreads list of books with the word book in the title, which is not the same thing! Even if I put quotation marks around the word guide, nothing shows up anywhere! All I get are actual guidebooks, not the novels I'm looking for. If it's not a guidebook, it's a how to list, instructional guides on unrelated topics because sesrch engines exclusively focus on the most popular keywords you type in rather than your query as a whole.
Is this too much to ask? Is this a ridiculous search? Is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy the one book ever written with that word in it? You'd think someone somewhere in the last 30 years would have compiled a list or a searchable database or something, but apparently this is a pipedream...
