Hank Voight- Another One?
Tumblr media
The sound of Hanks car coming up the drive way makes me jump to my feet. I pick up the 10 week old German Shepard and make my way to the bathroom
"Ok shhh we have to be quiet" I tell the puppy and place her down and shut the door as I hear the front door open then close. I walk over to greet my husband who is in command of the intelligence unit. Our other 4 dogs have already beat me to it "hey love good day?"
"Fine"
"Are you hungry? I can make us your favourite"
"What did you do?" Hank squints looking at me
"Nothing" I quickly shake my head. A small yap is heard from the bathroom
"What was that?"
"That was just Vinnie"
"Vinnie is here" Hank points to our oldest dog "and so is Ash, Bella and Max"
"Then it was my tummy?" there's another yap and so Hank walks passed me and towards the bathroom. Opening the door the little puppy comes running out and jumping up at Hank
"Another one? Seriously YN another puppy?"
"But he was abandoned and I couldn't say no" I pout
"I swear your job is a pain in the backside" Hank shakes his head. I pick up the puppy who's tail is wagging and she starts licking my face "5 dogs then?"
"Does that mean we can keep her?" I ask excitedly
"I guess we can keep her" I put the puppy down and wrap my arms around my husband
"Thank you thank you thank you" I kiss all over his face.
Later that evening we lay in bed together surrounded by all of our dogs. The new puppy is snuggled up with Max
"We need a name for her" I tell Hank
"What were you thinking?"
"I like Luna and Nova"
"I like Nova"
"Nova it is. I'm sorry I keep bringing dogs home but while your out saving people I'm saving animals. Your lucky I've just kept to dogs. Nearly bought home a rabbit and cat yesterday from a hoarders house" I chuckle which causes Hank to laugh along with me
"I know it's hard and you love the animals, but no more dogs. We've got 5 now and I don't think we could cope with anymore. Especially if we want a baby"
"I know, but their just so cute"
"I know I know" Vinnie jumps on the bed and wiggles his way in between Hank and I. I yawn feeling sleepy after my long day "good night YN"
"Night Hank".

Sergeant Hank Voight x fem!reader
Summary: You are being followed by a car, however your man Hank is quick to respond.
Wordcount: 1k
Warnings: Some shooting, but that's all xx

You worked as a barista and you absolutely adored it. Interacting with people, sharing stupid stories and having a laugh with them, you loved it. Contrary to your boyfriend’s life, yours was fairly predictable. It was safe.
Your boyfriend Hank’s job was everything yours wasn’t. While you spoke about the different cappuccino’s and the funny customers who you shared some inside jokes with, he barely spoke about work.
The only times he did, was when you discovered a bruise on his body or saw how his knuckles were skinned and you pressed for more information.
While it wasn’t ideal in your eyes, you accepted it.
You ended your morning shift, so you made your way to the car. Once you got inside and started it, you were quick to hum along with the radio. Hank preferred his drives more in silent, but he got used to your off key singing fairly quick, as there was no stopping you once you heard music.
As you stopped in front of a red light, you looked in your rearview mirror.
Still?
That beige colored car had been following you ever since you drove from the parking lot. When the red light turned green, you drove and at the next intersection you took a left turn, instead of going into the right direction you initially wanted to go.
And the car followed you.
‘Siri,’ you said, ‘call Hank Voight.’
‘Calling Hank Voight,’ the computerized voice told you and not long after that, you heard: ‘You okay?’
You had this agreement, the two of you. If it wasn’t urgent, you’d text him. If it was urgent, you’d call and he would pick up. Which he did. ‘There’s a car following me.’
‘You sure?’ he asked.
‘Yeah, I took a few odd turns and he’s still following me,’ you said. ‘what if something happens?’
‘Nothing will happen. I got your location.’
You hated the idea of him being able to track your phone, but after he gave a little bit more detail about the interesting parts of his job, you’d caved, after he promised to never ever track you if you weren’t in trouble or when nothing suspicious happened. You trusted he didn’t do that, but now you were thankful he had his way of tracking you.
‘I’m scared,’ you then said. ‘Where do I go now?’
‘Just straight ahead,’ Hank told you.
You gripped the steering wheel tightly, as a sniffle escaped from your lips.
‘Hey, hey, don’t cry,’ he said, his tone softer than before. ‘At the next intersection, go right, okay?’
‘Yeah, will do.’
‘Can you describe to me what the person behind the wheel looks like?’
You took a quick glance in the rearview mirror and said: ‘He wears a hoodie. He’s white. Has a beard.’
‘What kind of car?’
‘A beige one. I don’t know the kind.’
There’s some mumbling on the other end of the line and you take a right turn and the car follows you.
‘Keep breathing, sweetheart,’ Hank said to you. ‘Go straight ahead.’
‘It’s a dead end,’ you told him, slightly panicking. ‘It’s a dead end, Hank!’
‘Just go, alright?’
Knowing you couldn’t back out and Hank had your best interest in mind, you did what he told you to.
Though you weren’t so certain about it.
‘Stop right there,’ he said and you stepped on the break, the beige car closing in on you. But then, out of almost no where, you recognized your boyfriend’s car. Right when you wanted to say something, shots were fired from the car behind you. You dove down and let out a scream.
Shattered glass fell on you and you were crying. Screaming even. You hid your face in your hands and let out more and more sobs. More shots were exchanged and the door on your side opened. You kicked. ‘Stop, stop, let me go!’ you screamed.
‘Hey, hey, it’s me,’ you heard Al’s voice.
‘Al?’ you asked, as the gun shots died down. You looked up and quickly unclasp yourself out of the seatbelt. You nearly launched yourself in his arms and all the adrenaline rushing through your veins was now breaking down, causing your hands to shake.
‘You’re good, you’re good,’ Al whispered in your ear, patting the back of your head in a comforting matter.
Your cries turned softer and less hysterical. Al let go of you, but another set of arms pulled you out of the car for a proper hug. ‘You’re okay,’ Hank whispered. ‘You’re alright.’
‘Is it over?’
‘It’s over,’ he said.
♢ ♢ ♢
That night, you were staying over at Hank’s place. You were waiting in the two person bed, in an old shirt of his as you continued to shiver. You hadn’t stopped since you got back here. It turned out this man, was part of the drug bust they were currently working on. That wasn’t something you weren’t so worried about. You were worried about the fact they found out who you were.
He opened the door of the bedroom, causing you to get startled. ‘Easy, it’s me.’
He took off his shirt, stepping into the bed in just his boxer shorts. He got comfortable under the covers, however you couldn’t seem to relax. He pulled you down into his arms. ‘Come on.’
You melted against his warm and protective frame. You hadn’t spoken a lot about the incident, because every time you wanted to mention it, you started to cry. ‘I… Am I safe?’ you asked him.
‘You are,’ he said, ‘as long as I got my eyes on you, so tomorrow you’re not going to work. You’re coming with me.’
‘So I’m not safe.’
He pressed a gentle kiss on your forehead. ‘You are, when you’re with me. You think I’m gonna let anything happen to you?’
You didn’t answer. Instead, you rested your head on his chest, his steady heartbeat calming you down.
‘Is this going to happen more often?’ you asked.
‘No.’
‘Don’t lie.’
‘I’m not.’
‘I don’t want to have a police detail on my tail the entire time,’ you told him.
‘That won’t happen. Come on, look at me.’
At first you didn’t want to, but eventually you looked up, your eyes meeting his. ‘What?’ you asked him.
‘I love you,’ he whispered in his raw and raspy voice. ‘And I’ll protect you. Forever and ever.’

Happy Sunday Lovely Readers! 💛
We are halfway through Turn Back Time 🤯 This has most definitely been the most challenging of the three books to write, simply because I haven't had as much time to spend writing so I very much appreciate those of you who still like/comment/interact with these stories.
Chapter Fifteen is taking shape and is titled For Old Time's Sake...a little sneak peak below the cut if you're interested 😉
Their assessment of their suspect’s evasion techniques was cut short when Trudy appeared in the doorway of the garage.
“The tap you put on the girlfriend’s phone just payed off. He wants her to meet him at the Red Bridge tonight at ten o’clock.”
It wasn’t a venue Kate was familiar with but, from the knowing look that Trudy shared with Hank, she could only assume that there was a case file somewhere with at least one member of the intelligence unit’s name attached and thankfully she didn't have to wait much longer before Hank confirmed her thoughts.
“Years back, Antonio got into some hot water with a diamond dealer.” Hank explained, casting a withering glare at Ruzek who looked as though Christmas had come early. “Case led us to a sex club called the Red Bridge.”
“A sex club?” Kate clarified, both brows lifting in surprise at the thought of the experienced ex-vice detective managing to get himself tangled in a web of debauchery that, given the nature of his day job, he was all too familiar with.
“It’s a place where people go to have se-“
“Yeah, gathered that Ruz.” She interrupted with a roll of her eyes. “What I meant was what kind of sex club are we talking here?”
“Membership only.” Jay replied with a casual shrug, confirming her assumption that he had been one of the detectives leading point on the last undercover gig. “Light BDSM, swingers, power play…but mainly just Chicago’s elite paying a small fortune to indulge in their kink for voyuerism.”
It seemed that Chicago was no different to any other city she had policed over the last decade in that it was often the richest and most prominent members of society who deemed themselves important enough that they needn't be concerned with abiding by the law.
“I’m guessing that there’s a number of Chicago dignitaries on that membership list preventing us from getting a warrant?” She asked with a huff of irritation, shaking her head in disbelief when Hank dipped his chin into a nod.
“Well this girl clearly means somethin’ to him if he’s meeting her instead’a gettin’ his ass  outta town.” Kevin said, folding his arms across his hulking chest and Kate had to admit, the same thought had crossed her own mind the moment Trudy mentioned Dolan’s  contact with his girlfriend. After narrowly avoiding capture on not one but two occasions, there weren’t many people who would chance their luck one more time in the name of a quick screw.
“Clearly she’s the one if he’ll risk it all to have her with him.” Kim offered, a rosy blush staining her ivory cheeks when Adam glanced over at her with a wry smile, the two of them sharing a moment before Hank cleared his throat and Kim’s eyes dropped back to the floor.
“That or he’s more of an idiot than we thought.” He grumbled, once again questioning his life choices when he caught Burgess and Ruzek sharing lovelorn looks at one another instead of focusing on the task at hand. “We’re gonna need to get some eyes inside.”
“Yeah but we’ve all been burned.” Jay said, scrubbing an irritated palm over his sweaty forehead. “Dolan’s gonna bolt the second he sets eyes on us.”
“I haven’t.”
Kate had been dropping off Alexis at daycare when Kevin, Adam and Kim had pinned Dolan down at a bar in Rogers Park and both she and Kevin had been watching the front of the house earlier when Jay and Hailey barricaded him in his backyard before he’d managed to flee. It wasn’t lost on Hank that this was the first time that Kate had willingly offered to take a UC assignment since the incident with Pulpo but he couldn’t be sure if it was because she was the only member of the unit Dolan wouldn’t recognise or because she genuinely felt ready but, regardless of her intentions, he was quick to dispel any discussion around the prospect of sending her in alone.
“You’re not going in solo.”
“Who said anything about going solo?” She retorted and for a moment he wondered if she was going to suggest drafting in young Torres for the assignment but, from the impish quirk of her lips, it soon became apparent just whom it was that she was suggesting as her UC partner.
“How ‘bout it Sarg? For old time’s sake?”

Post 9x22 because that’s where my brain is at. Warnings for rough sex, semi dubious consent (it’s a long established relationship), spanking, mentions of being owned, degradation, gagging, mild breath play, semi public sex.
Tumblr media
When the news came over your radio that there was an officer down your blood turned to ice. You knew it wasn’t Hailey, Jay was too calm for that. Hank had been shot.
The rest of the bust was like a dream. All you did was focus on it, determined to clear the house so you could get to Med. And on any other day you’d be delighted about the bust but today you wanted to leave. Work came first. It’s what you and Hank had told yourselves when all of this had started, that all work came first and your relationship was for outside of work hours. So when Jay texted everyone that Anna had died, that Hank was getting out in a couple of hours and he’d be coming by the district before heading home, you knew you’d be “delaying” going home.
Everyone else left after a couple of hours, Kim and Adam to go hug their kid, Jay and Hailey to make sure she was ok. Kevin stopped by your desk and asked if you wanted to go for a drink considering how the evening had been, but you turned it down with a smile. It was a hug between you, Kevin squeezing to make sure you were there and ok.
“See you tomorrow, Kev,” you said as you sat down to get your paperwork done. It was nearly as soon as he left that Hank arrived, coming upstairs with his shoulder strapped, arm in a sling. You were surprised seeing him like that, but he nearly immediately went into his office, leaving the door open. Walking in he was staring at the wall, his non strapped fist clenched.
“Hank?” You were quiet, but when he turned around you could see how dark his eyes were. Hank pushed you against the desk with his good arm, your ass moving his nameplate out of the way. You were quickly sat up, your shirt hanging open and tits exposed as the cups were pulled down. His lips went around one nipple, good fingers stroking and pinching at the other. It was like a connection between your clit and tits, desperately bucking against him in need.
It was a final bite of your nipple that made you let out a whine before his tongue soothed it, letting go of that one with a pop. He did the same to your other, leaving you with a reddened chest that was aflame with glorious soreness and pleasure at once.
“These are mine.” He spanked each tit, a lone tear leaving one eye as the feeling got nearly too much for you, but you breathed through it.
“All yours. I’m yours, Hank. All of me.” He stared into your eyes, fingers on your chin so you couldn’t break the intense eye contact with him.
“Mine. I won’t let you forget it.” He held you like that for a moment before speaking again. “Get those jeans down now.”
Your fingers scrabbled at the button and zipper, undoing them and lifting yourself slightly to push them down your thighs. The cold wood underneath you made you shiver slightly, Hank’s hand around your neck when you looked back up at him. It was gentle pressure, barely enough to let you breathe but you could get some air.
“You trust me like this. My hand around your throat and you’re here in front of me in heat, desperate aren’t you?” You nodded, Hank nudging your legs apart and cold air against your soaked core. “Every time you’re in front of me like this all you want is for me to use you. So good for me like this, warm and wet and waiting. You’re all wet, aren’t you? Waiting for my cock to enter you and me to fuck you, isn’t that right? Be a good fucktoy for me and let me use that tight hole?”
You nodded desperately, Hank releasing your neck and his fingers immediately plunging into your hole. Your head threw back from the pleasure, fingers squelching obscenely in your wet heat as they scissored to fill you and make you stretch out. It was everything you needed until he stopped and you looked up at him.
“Follow me.”
He kept his fingers in you, leading you with his fingers in your cunt over to the couch. You undid his jeans and pulled them down with his boxers before he sat down and left you empty. With the slick you’d left on his hand you got to watch him jerk off for a moment before he pulled you onto him, his cock filling you and making you feel home again.
It was another moment of staring at him, his fingers pushed into your mouth as you sucked them clean. Once he was happy with them he pushed them back in your throat, feeling you gag around them.
“Feels so good in your cunt when you do that, did you know? I can feel every time you gag, you clench around me. Such a filthy slut, aren’t you?” You nodded, Hank pulling you in for a kiss as his fingers found your clit and began to play as you rode him.
You didn’t know how long it lasted, Hank sucking lovebites and biting marks into your chest. The pleasure kept building, his thrusts meeting your hips every time making you want to scream out but being oh so aware of where you were.
“Cum for me. I want to feel you around me.” His need was everything and your desperation was clear, but with the stimulation on your clit and the way his cock dragged off every sensitive spot in you you knew it wasn’t long until you would. Hank followed you over the edge, holding you against his good arm as you relaxed against him. The two of you were still connected, and you didn’t want to leave him yet.
“I love you.” The words were rarely said between the two of you, the knowledge it was there usually enough. But staring at the slightly bloody bandage made it clear. You’d nearly lost him.
“I love you too.” He held tightly, the two of you catching your breath there. But before he had you heard his breath hitch, looking up to see tears in his eyes. “She’s dead.”
“I know. I know.”
“I didn’t…I thought I could save her. I thought I could fix it.”
“I know you did.” You leaned up to kiss his cheek, fingers running through his hair. If it was you there you’d have done what Hailey did, except probably aim for her head. She’d nearly taken Hank from you and as much as you felt for Anna and wanted to help her you were still Hank’s before anyone else. The tears began to roll down his cheeks and you just held him, kissing them away so he knew you weren’t going anywhere.
“I didn’t even close the blinds. I didn’t ask. I’m sorry.” When he came back to himself he was clearly upset at what had happened between you, but you just kissed his cheek.
“We’re here. We’re ok. We needed it. Let’s go home, Hank.”
“That sounds really nice to me.”

Hank never took nights off, but he wanted everything to be special tonight. A trail of flowers leading into the garden you shared together; he had decorated the space in flowers, lights and candles. Dinner was set up in a table in the centre.
Simple, elegant, perfect.
You gasped when you saw it. not believing what you were seeing. You and Hank had been together for 3.5 years but seeing him there, kneeling in the middle of the lawn, ring in hand, was not what you expected when you got home from work.
Pausing at the door you tried to process what you saw, overwhelmed with emotions.
"Yes," you blurted out, making your way down the patio steps before he could even ask the question. He didn't, however, need to be told twice.
Scooping you up into his arms as you nearly tripped over yourself reaching him, he kissed you. "I love you Y/N."
"I love you too."
It was a dream come true, almost perfect... almost.
Hank's phone rang as he slipped the ring on your finger, pausing slightly at the sound but continuing on anyway.
"Leave it, it's officially someone else's business tonight," you told him, pulling him in for a kiss before he could consider reaching into his pocket.
And he nearly did, but then it rang a second time.
Hank pulled away, "what?" he snapped, out of breath and frustrated as you supressed a laugh and smirked, lips red and puffy.
Your smirk, however, faded as you watched Hank's face go to serious as he listened to the voice on the other end of the line, Trudy, and then he put his phone down slowly.
"What is it?" You asked, no longer annoyed by the call, this seemed serious.
"A little girl has been kidnapped," he informed you, "her whole family was brutally murdered less than an hour ago."
"Go," you told him, fiddling with the new ring on your finger.
"You sure?" He asked, taking your hands. This was supposed to be your night, and he didn't want you to think you were any less important to him.
"You wouldn't be you if you didn't," you reassured him.
"I love you," he said, kissing you quickly, "and we're not done."
"No, no we're not," you smiled, giving him another quick kiss before he headed back out to work.
When you saw the back door such you pulled out your phone, dialling ASA Anna Valdez.
"You heard?" She answered in lieu of a greeting, clearly stressed.
"Intelligence has it," you replied, looking at the ring on your finger as you spoke.
"You coming in?" She asked, knowing your answer anyway.
"Let's get to work."
Voight wasn't the only one who could help.
Voight arrived at the 21st to see everyone in motion. The first 24 hours were critical, no one would be going home to their own beds tonight.
He made his way quickly up to the bullpen to see everyone hard at work, talking on phones, going over surveillance, sticking pins and pictures up to the board...
He looked at the picture of the girl in the centre, Lily, only 6 years old.
If anyone had a chance of finding this girl, his unit did. And he didn't just think that because he was biased, they were the best.
Everyone momentarily paused when they noticed him at the top of the stairs, waiting for an order.
"Don't stop on my account," he told his team, "every second counts, let's get to work."
And so it began.
Hours of tedious searching, and plenty of footwork later, Atwater burst into Voight's office without knocking. The look on his face causing him to shoot out of his chair and grab his jacket.
"Got her?" He checked.
"Got her," Kev confirmed.
Hank headed out to where Adam was rounding the others up.
"Tell me," was all Voight needed to say as Adam brought up the image.
"Campervan a couple blocks away from where the murders took place and Lily was taken," Adam began.
"Why didn't we pick this up before?" Voight asked.
"Wasn't out of the ordinary, we ran it, came back clean, belongs to the occupant renting the property, everything checked out," Jay answered, handing his sergeant the files with the identity of their new suspect, Jim Payne.
"So what changed?" He asked.
"Traffic cams caught the same campervan heading off the highway, see here-" she pointed to the second picture, clearly the same van with the same design and markings, "-different plates."
"And that isn't all," Hailey said, "we found it entering a state park, tonnes of cabins to rent and miles of open forest."
"Spoke to the owner of the site the van pulled in to, boss the driver checked in with a little girl asleep in the back."
That was all he needed. "Then let's go."
Everyone geared up to head out as quickly as they could, Kev jumping in with Voight for the drive.
"We got anything on motive? Anything we could use against this guy? Any connections to the victim and her family?" He asked.
"As far as we can tell, he lost his daughter in a car accident a couple months back, then he quit his job, got the van and he's been renting up and down the country ever since," Kev explained, pulling up a picture of their suspect's daughter, the spitting image of the girl he'd just taken.
Voight grunted, driving faster. If he left with Lily before they got there he could go anywhere.
Voight and Kev were the first to arrive at the camp site, the owner directly him to a spot by the lake that their suspect had parked his van.
They had to go on foot through the trees to avoid being seen.
"Should we wait for back up?" Kev asked once they had arrived, eyes on the idle van.
Voight was about to agree when they both heard a scream coming from inside the van.
"We can't wait," he replied and Kev nodded, drawing his weapon and awaiting Voight's order.
"We're going in, block off the path and surround the van," Voight ordered the unit over the radio quickly, time was of the essence.
Making their way carefully, grateful for the cover of darkness, Voight took the lead, treading carefully as they approached the van.
The lights were on, and there were shadows of movement, but thankfully the curtains were drawn, enabling them to get close without being seen.
Reaching the edge of the tree line they paused. From here on out, they were open targets.
Voight looked to Kev, who was mirroring the same resolve he felt as another scream came from within.
Voight signalled that he would go a head to the door and Kev should go around to the side, both moving together as they crossed the last stretch of distance.
Movement inside gave Voight pause as he reached the door.
"Jim Payne, Chicago PD, come out with your hands up!" Voight ordered, weapon drawn and raised, ready.
"You can't have her!" A male voice yelled back, followed by a muffled cry from the girl.
"Jim, no one needs to get hurt, just come out, let her go," Voight continued, inching closer to the door as it was thrown open.
Voight froze, taking in Jim with a gun to Lily's head, arm around neck and shoulders as she struggled helplessly in her his grasp, feet not even touching the ground.
"No! No I won't let anyone take her from me!" He shouted, "no one is going to take my daughter from me again!"
"Jim, she isn't your daughter," Voight made his voice as soft as possible, "your daughter is gone, she's gone."
Jim was clearly erratic, unsure. On the one had, it meant he had less resolve to actually use the weapon in his hand, but on the other it made him more unpredictable.
"You don't understand-" he rambled.
"I do," Voight took a cautious set forward, pausing as Jim leveled the gun back at him in warning, hand visibly shaking. "I do, I lost my son a few years ago, okay, he was taken from me, and I'd do anything to get him back."
"So you do, you know why I'm doing this, why I have to do this-" He tried to rationalise his actions, but he was hanging on by a thread.
"No, no doing this won't bring your little girl back, all you've done is taken this girl's family from her," Voight could see movement from behind Jim at the window, and he knew it was Kev, he just needed a little more time.
"I'm her family now," Jim tried, voice breaking, conflicted.
"You aren't, look at her, look at how scared she is Jim," Voight was more stern now, eyes flicking to where Kev was slipping in through the window. Jim hadn't noticed, he'd been too distracted.
If he could just get a little closer... he needed to be able to grab Lily when Kev was in position.
"She won't always be, I'm her dad-"
"She will, because you aren't, you never will be!" Voight yelled, causing Jim to react in exactly the way he'd hoped.
"Yes I am!" He screamed in reply, the gun leaving Lily as he pointed it straight at Voight's head, just as Kev levelled his own behind Jim's.
"Chicago PD, drop it," Kev ordered, the shock causing Jim to whirl around, dropping Lily as Voight lunged to catch her.
Kev easily knocked the gun out of his hand and shoved him against the open door. "Jim Payne, you are under arrest for multiple counts of murder and kidnapping, anything you say or do can and will be used against you in a court of law..."
Kev continued to read him his rights as Voight checked to see if Lily was okay, which was difficult given that she had not stopped clinging to him since he'd caught her, her arms a vice grip around his neck.
"It's okay, it's okay," he reassured her, managing to grab his radio and signal the team, and an ambulance. One was on route just in case, so it wouldn't be long.
"Serge!" Voight turned his head to see Jay and Hailey approaching, weapons out but quickly holstered as they took in the scene.
The sudden noise and appearance of more people caused Lily to bury her head into Voight's chest. "She okay?" Hailey asked while Jay went to help Kev with Jim, who had not stopped struggling since the cuffs were put on.
"Physically, fine, but..." He trailed off but Hailey nodded, understanding. With everything she'd seen and been through...
The ambulance appeared at the end of the trail and Voight opted to carry Lily to them, since she didn't seem to want to let go.
"It's okay, these paramedics are going to take care of you," he told her as he put her in the ambulance, managing to pry her arms from around his neck. Her face was pale and covered and snot and tears, much of which was also on his shirt, but he didn't mind.
"Hey sweetheart, mind if we check you over?" Violet asked her, but she shuffled away and grabbed Voight's hand.
"Stay," he whispered, voice hoarse and barely audible.
"Fine by me," Sylvie nodded as Voight looked to her to check it was alright before the ambo doors were closed.
"I'm not going anywhere," Voight promised her, and as she squeezed his hand even tighter, he felt the promise he'd made had a deeper meaning that he understood yet.
-
You were Hank's first call after he and Kev brought the young girl, Lily, to the hospital. She'd lost everyone, and she needed help.
As a prosecutor, you knew exactly what he needed. It was an open and shut case, but Hank had gotten emotionally involved with this one, though he tried not to show it, so you'd happily try the case to make sure the monster responsible never saw the light of day again.
You got to the hospital first thing in the morning, after a night of legal planning and putting together the evidence Intelligence and the hospital had sent over.
Hank was still there, you weren't sure if he'd actually left. He looked up when he saw you, a slight smile at your presence, though his eyes were tired and grim,
Kev appeared around the corner as you wandered up, coffees in hand for him and Voight.
"Hey," he greeted you and gestured with the coffees, "I'd have got you one but..."
"No worries, thought I'd check in," you told him, glancing back to Voight.
"He hasn't slept," Kev said, following your gaze, "she's gotten pretty attached to him, and it's definitely mutual."
You took a breath and headed for the room, Voight's standing to greet you as you walked in, noticing the way Lily tensed at your entrance, but relaxed once she saw Hank smile at you, her guard somewhat dropping again.
"Hey Lily," you smiled, changing the tone of your voice to suit a child her age, "my name's Y/N, I'm going to be helping you find somewhere to live, and that means I'm going to be coming to see you sometimes, is that alright?"
She looked from you to Voight, "do you two know each other?"
"We do, very well," Hank told her.
"That's okay, I guess," she said, seemingly answering your question once she had confirmation that you could be trusted.
It was hard, seeing her so small and fragile. No matter how long you'd been in the job, you still didn't understand why someone would do such a thing to another person, a child.
"We'll be right outside, okay?" Hank asked her, putting a hand on your back to tell you he needed to speak to you in private.
Lily nodded and pulled her knees to her chest, and you couldn't help but give her one last pitying glance before heading out into the corridor where Kev waited.
"Anything?" He asked, voice low so Lily didn't hear.
You shook your head, a night of pouring over legal documents revealing next to nothing of use. "She has no family left that I can tell, the doctors say she's going to be in the hospital for a few weeks, but once she's discharged..."
"She'll have nowhere to go," Voight finished for you, clenching his jaw.
"Hey," you put your hand on his arm, ring catching in the light, "we'll figure something out."
He nodded, trusting you, but worrying nonetheless. This case had hit him hard, it was written all over his face, and it killed you that you couldn't do anything to help him.
Over the next few weeks, you put out feelers as a lawyer, searching for some distant relative or connection that could take her.
Weeks went by, and still nothing. She'd been staying with a temporary foster carer but they couldn't keep her long term, and there was no where else for her to go.
"What'll happen to her now?" Voight asked. He'd visited her everyday since she'd been discharged, and you knew your news would sting.
"She'll have to go into a group home," you told him, sighing. You were tired, up worrying about Voight and Lily and how it was effecting him. So you'd come to see him in work when you'd gotten the news, knowing he didn't like waiting.
There was nothing you could go to make it all better, but you hugged him all the same. He wasn't big on PDA, but it felt needed. And given how tense he was and the way he buried his head in your neck, he appreciated the gesture.
"What if-" He began but then broke off, stepping back from you and shaking his head.
"What if we took her in?" You finished for him, suspecting this had been coming from the start. You hadn't said anything to him, in case you'd found a relative who could take her, you didn't want to get his hopes up and then take them away.
"What do you think of that?" He asked. You hadn't really considered kids together, you were both so busy with work, and with everything that happened to Justin... It wasn't a subject Voight liked to dwell on, but you couldn't deny that you'd gotten your own hopes up about bringing Lily home as the weeks had gone by.
"I think she'd be lucky to have you as a dad," you told him honestly, taking his hand.
"You sure?" He checked, and although you weren't sure whether he was confirming whether you were sure about taking in Lily, or about him being a good dad, you nodded.
"Positive."
"Uncle Kev huh? I like the sound of that," a voice from the half open door pulled you both from your thoughts, jumping as you saw your brother, grinning with a file in his hand.
You laughed, "I guess it's settled then, all we have to do is ask Lily."
"And actually get all the paperwork done," Kev interjected, leaving the file on Voight's desk and leaving with a wink.
You shrugged and turned to Voight, "we can pull some strings."
He smiled, squeezing the hand that still held his and running his finger over your engagement ring, "let's do this."

The Sister Halstead (Part 2)
Masterlist
Pairings: Hank Voight x Female OC, Jay & Will Halstead x Female Sister!OC.
Warnings: None
I got up the next morning to find an additional blanket covering and a note from Henry stating that he had to get to work but I could hang around as long as I wanted. Seeing that I slept through my own alarm, I was in a rush to find my car keys and head into the office.
“Damn it.” I groaned when I realized my keys were in his jacket pocket. Lucky for me he left his number on the note and I dialed quickly.
“Voight.” He answered.
“Good Morning Henry.” I greeted.
“Morning Lottie. Didn’t think you’d call this early.” He laughed.
“Normally I’d like to give a little chase but I realized something. You wearing that sexy leather jacket of yours?” I smirked.
“Yes ma’am.”
“Are my car keys in your pocket?”
“Yes ma’am.” He replied with a jingle of my keychain.
“Any chance I could get those back today? I can uber to my office but my purse is in my car.” I requested.
“How about I do you one better? Text me your work address and I’ll bring your car to you. I’ll even take you to lunch.” He compromised.
“You drive a hard bargain. Fine, but you’re not getting your sweats back just yet. I can’t exactly go to work in yesterdays outfit.” I laughed.
“See you soon beautiful, I’ll text you when I’m on my way.”
“Fine. Bye Henry.”
“Bye sweetheart.”
A sprint to the office later, I was engrossed in my emails before my assistant knocked on my door.
“There’s someone here to see you. He’s driving your car?” She said confused.
I looked out into the lobby to see Henry looking at the walls of our past projects.
“Perfect. I’m going to take lunch.” I told her before gathering my phone.
“With that daddy in the lobby? Lucky you.” She laughed and propped my door open for me.
Walking into the lobby, I surprised him by lowering my lips to the back of his ear.
“Boo.” I whispered.
He turned around suddenly with a smirk on his face.
“You hid your keys in my pocket to see me again?”
“Hardly. I was hoping to steal this jacket.” I laughed, reaching out to touch the front of the garment and ultimately running my hands down his chest.
“Good luck with that sweetheart. Let’s get food.” He said and grabbed my hand.
We got lunch at this cute diner that had the absolute best BLTs and milkshakes.
“Does this count as date 2?” I joked.
“Was last night date 1?” He smirked.
“It could be.” I shrugged, taking a sip of my milkshake.
“Easy there honey, you don’t want to get involved with someone like me.”
“Try me baby. I’m always up for a challenge.” I flirted.
After lunch, I convinced Henry to extend his leave from work and walk around the park. I may have played the I’m cold card so I was gripping onto his bicep as we walked.
“I’ve got to get back to work sweetheart.” He sighed.
“Can’t I convince you not to?” I asked, widening my eyes as much as possible and giving him my best puppy dog impersonation. Removing my arm from around his, I returned my hands to his chest.
“Pretty please?” I asked.
“As much as I’d love to, my teams expecting me back.” He grunted with a kiss to my forehead and pulled me back to the car.
I let him drive back to wherever he needed to be and sat back, looking at his profile.
“What are you looking at?” He asked, noticing me staring.
“Just you handsome. So when do I get to see you again?” I asked hopefully.
He chuckled at my determination.
“My jobs is pretty unpredictable and I work late a lot of the time. The best I can offer you right now is I’ll call you when I’m free.” He explained.
“I’ll take that. What do you do?”
“I’m a cop.” He replied.
I wanted to ask him if he knew Jay but before I got the chance, he had parked and got out. Unbuckling myself to get in the drivers seat, I went to open my door and saw Henry waiting for me.
“Do I get a goodbye kiss?” I inquired. All I was met with is a smirk.
“That’s for date 3. You do get a hug though.” He compromised.
I gratefully stepped into his embrace and wrapped my arms around his waist, tucking my face into his neck.
“See you soon?”
“See you soon beautiful.”
I retired to my home after dropping Henry off and was met with my older brother asleep on my couch.
“What are you doing here?” I asked, kicking Will in the shin.
“Nat and I got into an argument on shift today, figured I’d come and catch a nap before asking you if you wanted to grab dinner tonight.” He shrugged.
“I’m down. There’s a blackhawks game tonight right? Do you wanna go?” I asked him.
“Of course but no way we can get tickets this late.”
“You underestimate me brother! My company has 4 season passes. Say we leave around 5?” I suggested.
“Um, yes! Can we invite Jay?” Will asked excitedly.
“Yeah just give him a call and let me know if he’s going to be coming or not.” I instructed before retreating to my room.
Across town, Jay received a frantic call from his brother.
“Yes Will?” Jay groaned as he answered the phone.
“Blackhawks game with me and Charlie tonight, are you in?” Will spitted out in a hurry.
He was racing back to his place to grab clothes for the game tonight.
“How the hell did you get tickets?” Jay asked.
“Charlie’s company has season passes man and they’re probably really good seats. Are you in or not?”
Jay contemplated this, not really wanting to spend the evening with his siblings but also not wanting to turn down hockey tickets.
“Fine.” He huffed.
“Cut the attitude man. Meet Charlie and I at her apartment as soon as you get off shift! We’re leaving around 5.” Will instructed before hurriedly hanging up the phone and sending a text off to Charlie that Jay was in.
A few outfit changes later, Will and I were in my kitchen pre gaming for the night ahead when Jay entered the elevator into the apartment.
“You want a shot?” Will offered, downing one himself while I made a sandwich. You can’t start drinking on an empty stomach.
“I’m good.” Jay declined as he scanned my place.
“You guys wanna head out?” I asked, grabbing my clutch and a jacket with my brother following me in tow.
The ride to the stadium was quiet, mostly Will and I chatting while Jay sat in the backseat brooding.
“Why does your car smell like that?” Will asked me.
“I got lunch with a friend earlier, guess his cologne was strong today.” I shrugged.
I wanted to ask Jay if he knew Henry but before I could, we arrived at the stadium and the valet was ready to take my car.
“You can valet here?” Jay asked confused.
“Not usually, but it’s a part of the season pass.” I shrugged, handing them the landyards and making our way to security.
Walking to our seats, Will was flipping out that they were rink side.
“What the actual fuck is my life right now?” Will asked in awe as he admired the ice and we were handed an ipad to start ordering.
“What do you guys want to eat or drink?” I asked, perusing the selections.
“Beer please.” Jay asked, his eyes never really leaving the ice either.
I ordered whatever looked good and soon enough the food and drinks were brought over by an attendant.
“This is so cool. Thanks Charlie.” Will raved, giving me a kiss on my head.
“You’re welcome! Enjoy you two.” I smiled.
By the end of the 4th quarter, Jay and Will were pretty drunk off their asses and having the time of their lives. I had switched to soda before half time when they both were downing their fifth beer. Those idiots even got the other drunks guys in the section to start cheering with them.
“You two have a fun night?”  I asked as we made our way back to my place. Both were too drunk to drive and decided crashing at mine was the best option.
“Yeah, thanks sis.” Will told me with a hug before retreating to a spare bedroom.
Jay looked a little out of place as I grabbed his attention and lead him to another spare room.
“You sleep that off okay Jay?” I asked, helping him get settled.
“Will do. Oh, Charlie?” He said as I was about to head out.
“Yeah?” I asked, giving him my full attention.
“Thank you for tonight, I had a great time with you two.” He confessed.
I couldn’t help the smile that breached my face at the thought of my older brother actually liking me.
“You’re welcome. Sleep tight Jay Bird. "

Dude, There’s A Cop
Summary: Lyla pulls Elleigh away from doing something stupid.  Little did they know, a police officer was watching the whole time.
TW: Suicidal Thoughts, Slight Language Warning
Word Count: Around 596
Note:  Hi!  This one was inspired by something that happened to my friend and I yesterday and she wanted me to turn it into a fanfiction.
FYI:  Lyla is Jay and Hailey’s daughter (when I originally thought of Lyla she was supposed to be Jay and Hailey’s adoptive daughter.  It went from that to biological daughter to Halstead!Sister, which you can see based on the other imagines I’ve posted.)
Also, Elleigh is pronounced Ellie, Elleighana is pronounced Ellie-Anna (If you couldn’t tell I love unique names/unique spelling.)
Should I write more daughter fics?  Also I do take requests, it just may take a while depending on how I feel writing it/if I feel like writing it.
I also may not write a request at all if I feel like I don’t have enough creativity or freedom if that makes sense.
Enough from me, I hope you enjoy!! (:
“Come on, Elleigh, get out of the road!”  Lyla complained as she dragged Elleigh along, stopping her from standing in the middle of the road.  The car passed them, the driver looking at them like they were stupid.
“They’re looking at us like we’re stupid.”  Lyla complained as the two of them walked along, Elleigh just laughing slightly and putting a different song on.
They took a right and kept walking, eventually moving to the left to get onto another road by the bike trail.
“Ooh, a car!”  Elleigh exclaimed kind of childishly, standing in the middle of the road and putting her arms out as if she wanted the car to hit her (hint, she did).
“Here we go again.”  Lyla thought to herself, grabbing Elleigh’s arm, practically dragging her away from the road, Come on, Elleigh!  Stop standing in the middle of the road!”
“Aww.”  Elleigh complained as the car passed them, Lyla rolling her eyes, clearly annoyed.  Elleigh would do this every time they went somewhere, and it honestly kind of got on Lyla’s nerves, because Elleigh wasn’t about to throw herself in front of a car on Lyla’s watch.
The two walked up the hill, walking over the bike trail and back down the hill onto another road, jumping over a puddle as they did so.  They walked down a small street, standing in front of the highway at the end of it.
“Wait.”  Lyla instructed, putting her arm out to stop Elleigh from throwing herself in front of the car.  After a moment, it was safe enough to cross.
“Okay, now we can go.”  Lyla grabbed Elleigh’s arm, pulling her across the street, Elleigh struggling playfully against her.  They made it to the sidewalk, Elleigh trying to step into the road as more cars drove past.
“Elleigh, stop.”  Lyla demanded, grabbing Elleigh’s arm as Elleigh stumbled to the side and almost fell, being the clumsy person she is.  Lyla shook her head, “People are gonna think you’re drunk!”
“But I am.”  Elleigh replied playfully, Lyla just laughing at the comment.
“Dude, there’s a cop right there.”  Lyla stated, seeing the truck parked across the street.  She looked at it as the driver stepped out, walking across the vacant parking lot and stopping at the end of it.  He looked both ways as if he was about to cross.
“He’s coming!”  Lyla exclaimed, laughing slightly.
Elleigh and Lyla watched as the officer crossed the street, and it was that moment Lyla realized who it was.
Lyla burst out laughing, and it was when Lyla did so that Elleigh too realized who it was.
“Oh my God.”  Elleigh muttered, “He’s gonna tell my dad!”
“Hi Dad.”  Lyla greeted, Elleigh sending her a death glare.
“Elleigh, what are you doing?”  Jay questioned, ignoring Lyla as he crossed his arms and stood in front of the two of them.
“I, uh-”  Elleigh trailed off, not knowing what to say.
Jay sighed, “Alright.  Just, stop doing that, okay?  Cars keep trying to brake because they don’t want to hit you.”
“His breath stank.”  Lyla whispered, Elleigh sending her a death glare.
She turned her attention back to Jay, “I’m sorry.  It won’t happen again.”
     “It’s okay.  I trust you.”
“Good.  Just, please don’t tell my dad.”
Jay chuckled, looking behind him, “I won’t have to.”
“Elleighana Lin Voight, what in the world are you doing?”  Hank questioned as he crossed the street, an angry look on his face.
Lyla snickered as Elleigh groaned in annoyance.  There was no way in hell she’d be doing that again.

How Many Detectives Are Needed To Sleep A Baby? || Jay Halstead x reader!
Cute and fluffy Jay, wife and baby + babysitter detectives
*re-posting this because I'm stupid and accidentaly delated my blog 🫠
Tumblr media
Summary: Intelligence unit takes care of Jay's newborn baby while he and his wife are in court. Turns out it is the most difficult case they have worked on.
-"You can't go in there". Platt muttered in a scolding tone to Adam, who wanted to go into the coffee room.
-"Why not?" He asked strangely.
-"Shhhhhh". Kim gave him a punch on his arm. -"Keep it quiet, you're gonna wake her up".
-"Ok, alright". Ruzek kept his voice low. -"What the hell is going on, girls?"
-"Halstead's baby is sleeping in there. Don't you dare to interrupt her sweet dreams, bro". Kevin said from his desk.
-"Look at her. You can see her smile even from here". Hailey said, peeking through the window.
Trudy and Kim followed her.
-"She's so lucky she didn't get her father's mad face". The Sergeant enquired.
-"What do you think she's dreaming about? She looks so peaceful".
-"What's going on? Where's Jay? Where's her mom? What is she doing here all alone?" Adam was losing it, increasing his voice volume once more.
-"She's not alone. We're taking care of her!". Hailey frowned.
-"Adam, please". Voigh silently got out of his office and rushed towards him whispering. -"Would you keep it down? I can hear your voice even with my door closed. Let the baby rest, she's only weeks old and already has seen too much".
The detective opened his arms in a defeated gesture. He had just arrived and didn't understand anything.
-"Y/N is testifying right now, we couldn't avoid it. She and her colleagues published the investigation under their names, so...I couldn't stop it. Jay is by her side. The baby is here for protection".
-"She really is a hell of a journalist". Upton mentioned with admiration.
-"And a very brave woman. We owe her a lot in this case". Hank stated.
-"You know? You would have known about this if you had arrived in time to work". Burgess teases Adam.
-"Is there any news about the trial?" Platt wanted to know, worried about you.
-"Not yet, but Jay said he'll be in touch". The boss stated. -"You know these trials take time".
They weren't conscious about it, but the whole Intelligence squad looked hilarious talking with whispers and walking in tiptoes as they went back to their workplaces.
Time passed and the girl was still sleeping safe and sound, until Adam decided to stand up to stretch a bit and stumbled with some cables on the floor. Naturally, the clatter woke up the little baby.
-"It had to be you, right?" Kim mocked her husband as she helped him stand up.
Hailey and Kevin ran to the coffee room as if they were running a race. It was him who got there first and held the baby girl.
-"There, there. Uncle Kev is right here". He tried to reassure her. -"I had siblings and took care of them when they were babies. I can manage another one".
But after a few minutes, she was still uncontrollable.
-"Ok, it's my turn". Burgess got into the game and took the baby off his partner's arms. -"I'm the only mom here, the only one who has a real daughter. I know how to do it".
-"What are you talking about?" Trudy Platt laughed. -"Makayla was already a grown up when you adopted her!" And she grabbed the baby to accommodate her in her chest. But the crying did not stop.
-"Oh, no. What are they doing to you, sweetie?" Upton grabbed her and laid her in her arms. -"I am her godmother, she knows me better".
The baby Halstead slowed down her crying, but she was still restless.
-"Well, how many detectives do you need to sleep a baby, hum? You don't know anything". Hank Voight gasped. -"Give her to me, I'll show you all". But as soon as she was in the arms of the boss, her crying increased. -"Oh. I've lost touch!"
Jay and Y/N were already at the bullpen, waiting in the stairs. They got in time to witness the fluffy scene.
-"Hey, guys? She's not a rag doll, you know?" Jay said laughing at the scene and his friends turned around with surprise. -"She just needs her daddy's arms''. He took his daughter to stroke her and almost immediately she calmed down.
-"That's not fair". Platt crossed her arms.
-"We brought you coffee". You smiled, leaving the box you were carrying on one of the desks. -"There's not enough caffeine when you take care of a newborn. There's one for each of you, just as each of you like it. Look for your name in the tags".
-"Geez, thanks!" Adam said gladly and balanced the table. -"I was denied entrance to the coffee room the whole morning".
-"I'm sorry". You turned red.
-"Don't listen to him". A chorus of detectives said.
-"She's really calm, it was no problem". Kevin asserted and everyone else agreed.
You approached your husband and as soon as you were in your daughter's sight, the baby started to smile and giggle, throwing little kicks into the air.
-"What? Why are you laughing so much, baby?" You raised your hands and freed Jay's arms. -"Come with mommy, sweetie".
Everyone stared at the scene with tenderness, especially Kim, whose eyes started watering.
-"You wanna hold her?"
She just nodded and took the opportunity.
-"How was the trial? Are you alright?" Platt inquiered.
-"Yeah, I mean it was really scary, but I think it went fine". Y/N hands started to shake a little bit, but she was fast enough to hide them in her pockets. Nobody noticed, except for Jay.
-"She did a great job". He hugged you by the waist, trying to secretly ease you.
-"I have no doubt about it, she already showed us how much of a badass she is". Hank smirked.
-"I will just be more comfortable if you stay in here at least until the Jury deliberates, or as soon as I can go home with you. It's just a precaution, I'm not being paranoid or something".
-"Yes, I agree". Voight followed the idea.
-"Sure. Whatever you think is better".
The baby yawned and stretched herself so adorably, that she caught everyone's attention again.
-"I should put her down to sleep".
-"Alright. Take my seat, Y/N. We don't know how much we're staying here". Jay pointed out.
-"C'me on, Kim. Give the baby back to her mommy".
-"If you need help with the baby or you get bored of these people around, I'll be downstairs". The desk Sergeant winked at you and you smiled back at her back.
-"She won't be bored. She has me here". Hailey pulled a face.
-"I'll take provisions just in case the little one takes the coffee room again". Ruzek rushed to the kitchen.
Everyone else rolled their eyes in a funny way.

Break Through Au
Word Count: 1.6k
Summary: You go out ice skating on the lake with your brothers and Things don’t go as planned for you three
Warnings: CPR/Death, Falling through Ice, Hospitals, Yelling
—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You were on the ice with your brothers Will and Jay, even though you weren’t allowed to, you guys still went regardless.
It was 10pm, no one would be out here to get in your way or yell at you to get off the ice.
“Cmon Y/n/n, it's better out here” Jay said while attempting to slide farther out to the lake.
“I don’t know Jay, I kinda wanna stay over here. That way I get off easier than struggling to get off if I'm way over there.” you shrugged.
“Alright then, me and will be over there if you need us' ' He pointed towards the middle of the lake.
“Alright, I’m just gonna slide around.” You shivered. Maybe I should work more layers. You thought to yourself.
After a while you got bored and decided to go over to Will and Jay who were “fighting” over who got the better hockey stick.
Will pulled out his phone and checked the time. “Guys it’s 11 o'clock, she should head home now, if we all get a cold moms gonna know that we went outside without asking her, especially if Y/n gets sick”
“But I'm getting good at hockey,” you whined.
Will and Jay just have you that look. “Alright alright let’s go” You caved.
Because your brothers were better on ice than you were, they went up ahead of you.
“GUYS! I'M NOT AS FAST AS YOU SLOW DO-“ Before you could finish your sentence a loud Crack interrupted you.
That made the two Halstead brothers come to a halt and turn around to you. “No,” Jay whispered. “Y/n don’t move, just stay still we’ll come to you”
Before you could say anything the Ice broke.
Jays pov:
“Y/N, SHIT NO” I screamed, my little sister just fell through the ice.
Me and Will immediately slide over to where she fell in and I immediately throw my whole arm in the freezing water to see if I can feel Y/n
“Give me your other arm so I can pull you once you get her!” Will shouts.
“Once I touch something that feels semi to a human arm I pull. I can tell it’s Y/n because once I pull I feel a bit of weight.
“PULL WILL, PULL”
Once we were towards the edge of the Lake I pick y/n up bridal style and rushed over to land.
“Put her down here.” Will says.
“What the hell do we do?” I cry
“She’s not breathing, Jay, you need to run back to the house and call someone” Wills is studying medicine so he knows a couple of things about what to do in a life or death situation.
“WHO DO I CALL?” I shout
“I DO GIVE A FUCK, CALL 9-1-1 AND HURRY”
My body moves into autopilot as I’m running through the forest making sure I don’t trip on any rocks or roots.
My legs are burning and I can’t breathe but I can’t stop, if I stop Y/ns gonna die and it’ll be all my fault.
As I reach the house I punch in the code to the door and run upstairs to my bedroom.
I basically almost threw my  phone into the air while trying to pick it up.
“9-1-1 what’s your emergency?”
“It’s -it’s my sister, she fell into the lake and I don’t know if she’s breathing”
“Check if she has a pulse”
“My older brother is with her at the lake, he-he's studying medicine so he knows what he’s doing”
“What’s your name sweetheart?”
“Uhh jay, my names Jay”
“Alright Jay, How old is your sister and how long was she under water for?”
“I don’t- 5 minutes maybe, and her name is Y/n, but we all call her Y/n/n. I don't know what I’m gonna tell my mom, that my littler sister died because we didn’t listen to her?” I’m panicking.
“Jay, I’m gonna need you to take a deep breath, I have help coming on the way right now”
How did she get my location? I didn’t even tell her.
***
The paramedics arrived and Jay led them to the lake where Will was with you.
Will did successfully get you back but you were still unconscious.
Why didn’t we just listen?
***
“15 Year old Female Y/n Halstead, Hypothermia after falling through ice, Was unconscious on site and Has a history of Heart issues.” The paramedic listed off all the things
(Ik that Grey's anatomy is in Seattle but because the show is so old let’s just pretend that this happened with them, it’s been awhile since I’ve watched it so if I make mistakes Woops)
“Alright,on my count if we move her. 1…2…3”Alex said.
Alex looked you over and started telling Jo things to do. “I want a head Ct, Keep me updated on her temperature and get me Derek for a consult.” Jo nodded.
Jay and Will followed Dr. Karev outside. “Is she gonna be ok?” Jay asked.
“She’s not out of the woods yet, but we won’t know more until she wakes up which will be a couple of hours”
***
“Jay Halstead and Will Halstead” A stern voice called to them that made them Gulp.
“What in the world happened, and why did the Atwater’s call me and say that something happened on the lake and I needed to come home?” Your Mom stoked with her hands on her hips.
Jay and Will glanced at each other and knew they had no way out of this so they just decided to tell the truth and get it over with.
“I have told you guys time and time again not to play on that lake during the winter,
If you want to go ice skating go to the bigger one. Y/n has been punished enough, and as for you too, just until we get home, me and your father Will real with you. Do you understand?”
“Yes mom,” The boys said together.
“Alright, either the Atwater’s or the Uptons are going to pick you guys up and take you home. I will stay here with your sister, your father should be at home by now”
“But mom-“ Jay said. “No buts, wait here”
***
It had been a couple of weeks since the incident and A lot had happened.
You were on the News, people came to your school and spoke about Ice safety. Jay and Will were indeed grounded but only for two weeks. The lake was now closed off while they were still doing an investigation. Which you didn’t understand why because it’s not like anything else happened but it was whatever.
“Y/n hurry up you’re going to miss the bus!” Jay shouted from downstairs.
“HOLD ON IM COMING” You grabbed your backpack and ran down the stairs.
After getting all your stuff in your backpack you got all your stuff ready to walk to the bus stop.
“Alright, what’s the rules?” Will questioned you.
“No wandering off to the other lake, don’t take off my jackets unless I really need to and don’t get anything that will drop my body temperature”
“Good.”
“Do you still have to put my hat and Jacket on for me? I’m 15 years old.”
“Because of recent events and mom being gone and I’m going to leave soon I need to make sure you're ok, plus your body temperature is still not to its normal temp yet so layers it is.” You rolled your eyes at what would be said.
“I will pick you up for your doctor's appointment maybe 30 minutes before school ends, and Jay will drop your lunch off at the front office” Will said as he started walking at the door.
“Bye will see you later”
Once Will was gone, you ate the last of your waffles and grabbed your hot chocolate or what Jays calls “Jay's famous Hot chocolate” but it tasted like any other drink.
***
“I miss having you out on the lake by the middle school” Your friend Ellie said.
“Me too, but ever since my mom died Will and Jay have been strict on what I can do since my dad won’t really do much and they're trying to get me to learn stuff before Will leaves for New York and Jay leaves to serve” You shrugged.
“But I did convince Jay to get you some fries and nuggets” You laughed
“You are literally the best, I really didn’t feel like spending all my money in my account today” Yeah the school food was expensive but it’s because you guys had fast food restaurants in your cafeteria so I guess it made sense.
***
“Hey Nugget” Will greeted you as you got into the car.
“Hi Will, can we please get McDonald’s after my appointment?”
“Sure, where’s Jay? I told him he could get out of school early since he has a free period this week.”
“He said he wanted to stay at school, so he’s probably just walking around the hallways or doing whatever Jay does” You shrugged.
You thought about it for a while, your life was somewhat falling apart. Will was leaving for New York. Jay was getting deployed so you weren’t gonna see him. And your mom was gone so all you had left was your Dad, and your dad wasn’t the best person now since your dad died.
“Hey Will?”You broke the silence
“Yeah Nugget?”
“I’m- I’m gonna miss you when you leave” Here comes the water works.
“Me too Y/n me too”
Life from now on was going to be way different for you , and everyone around you knew that. You were going to get through it and it was going to be Ok. Right?
Well that’s at least what you thought…

Hank Voight- Secrets
Tumblr media
Hank and I have been in a secret relationship the last year now. We've kept it secret because of 1 our age. I'm 25 years younger than he is for a start. 2 I'm part of the intelligence unit. Hank and I met before I was part of the intelligence unit, we had a one night stand the day before I actually joined thanks to alcohol. We tried to keep it professional but it was hard. Of course during work we are. He's my boss I listen to him, but as soon as we leave he's my boyfriend who I love
"Halstead, YLN I want you to go to the club and find out who's dealing the drugs. Don't separate who knows what the dealer is like"
"Got it" Jay gets up from his desk. I follow heading to the locker I go to mine taking out some clothes I leave here for different cases we may go on. I take them to the bathroom and get changed into a little back dress and black heals. I put on a little more makeup than I already have on. I walk out and into the bullpen
"Woah" Adam comments, his eyes nearly popping out of his head
"Eyes to yourself Ruzek" Hank comments making Adam hold his hands in the air "Halstead YLN be careful" Hank says looking at me
"We will" Jay says for me.
We head to the club and walk into the bar
"What can I get you both" the woman behind the bar smiles at us
"2 Vodka and cokes" Jay smiles back placing his hand on the small of my back
"No problem"
"Hey so we heard that you guys sell more than alcohol" I give the woman a little smile
"I don't know where you heard that"
"Come on" Jay leans over the bar "my girl is going to rehab tomorrow and we want to have one last party" the woman looks around then whispers
"Back room"
"Thank you, much appreciate"
Jay and I make our way the the back room with our drink. When we enter we see a man sat on a couch with a few girls around him and one on his lap
"Who are you and what are you doing here?" The man asks
"Looking for a good time" I look the man up and down
"Girls go and get yourselves a drink on me" he holds out some cash. The girl on his lap takes the money and they all walk out
"What can I do for you?"
"My girl here need some peal, shes going to rehab and we are having a party for her"
"Huh is that so"
"Remember he needs to take the money off you before we can make the arrest" I hear Voight say in my ear piece
"I have cash" Jay pulls out his wallet and holds the money out
"How do I know that you two aren't undercover cops trying to bust me?"
"Come on man" Jay laughs
"You have to understand where I'm coming from though. I've never seen either of you before and now your asking me for Pearl. How do you even know I have it?"
"Just heard around from some girls I work with"
"Who?"
"Well I mean they aren't going to use the same names? Who knows what creeps will find out who we are" I cross my arms
"I'm begging you man, just a bit for my girl to have one last good night. You know how rehab is"
"Ok" he gets up and walks over to a desk at the end of the room. He opens up a draw and we assume he's going to pull out the drugs, but instead he holds a gun in his hand
"I just don't believe you" Jay is quick to get his gun out, I don't have mine because I couldn't hide it with the dress I'm wearing
"Put the gun down now!" Jay shouts
"YN what's going on?" Voight asks me
"The deals off" I say standing behind Jay
"Ok we will just go ok?"
"No. I can't let you"
"YN get out of there now"
"Please just let us go. We made a mistake please"
"Shut up!"
"Put the gun down"
"We're coming in"
"They're cops!" One of the girls that was in the room earlier runs in
"Your fucking cops?"
"Put the gun down. If you shoot you'll be tried for attempted murder on a cop and possession of drugs"
"I'll take my chances" the guy shoots my leg making me fall before Jay shoots him in the head
"Fuck YN you ok?" Jay asks putting pressure on my gun shot "suspect down, officer shot roll and ambo" Jay says into is radio that he had hidden. Jay lifts me up and carries me out to where everyone else is
"YN? YN you ok" Hank runs over to me making everyone instantly confused
"I'm ok, just fucking hurts"
"Ok ok let's get you to Med" Hank takes me from Jay and puts me in the ambo, he follows in with me.
After I arrived to Med and was checked over Hank sits in the chair in my room with a hand in mine
"You know the cats out the bag now" I tell him
"Don't care. As long as your ok"
"I'm fine. Promise" I give his hand a squeeze "maybe this is the universe telling us we need to tell the others"
"Hey" there's a knock on the door and Jay walks in "just checking your good?" Jay looks between Hank and I
"Yeah we're good. Thanks Jay"
"Don't worry about it. Oh and just expect a lot of questions when your back at work"
"I will expect no questions" Hank defends
"Hank, no it's fine. I know you guys will have questions, just none about our sex life please"
"Deal. Get well soon" Jay leaves Hank and I alone  again in the room
"I love you YN"
"I love you too" Hank leans down and kisses my lips gently

Caring platonically

Sergeant Hank Voight x fem!reader
Summary: You're secretly very close to Hank Voight, but strictly platonically.

masterlist // one chicago masterlist //
Being a firefighter had always been a dream of yours. You watched your parents both enjoy the profession when you were younger and whenever someone asked what you wanted to be when you grew up, it was always the same answer.
I wanna become a firefighter, just like my parents.
Your parents had met in Firehouse 51, so after many other firehouses, working there had felt and been a huge honor to you. You adored working there on truck 81, with lieutenant Casey as your superior. You learned a lot from him and every fire you fought together, you felt you were one stop closer to becoming like him, a great fire fighter.
Your parents were so proud of you, both of them having met everyone on your shift.
But fighting fires and saving people was always easier when it didn’t involve people you knew. Today, you weren’t so lucky. You heard Gabby cry behind you, as it was her brother Antonio who was one of the two people stuck inside.
You were now patiently waiting for either the chief or your lieutenant to give you the go ahead to go inside.
The entirety of the Intelligence unit had made it outside, minus two: detective Antonio Dawson and sergeant Voight. You knew about the reputation the sergeant held at your firehouse, but that had happened before you joined Firehouse 51.
You on the other hand, had a different bond with the sergeant. You knew him well and knew his well intentions.
Before you felt comfortable enough to spend your time over at Molly’s, you’d go to other bars to have a drink after shift. While his colleagues went to Molly’s, the sergeant never set foot there. But you two got to talk, enjoyed each other’s company and maybe you accidentally, but not really kissed his cheek after he drove you home once.
You never spoke about the kissing incident, as it was highly inappropriate of you to do so. He was many years your senior and a not so liked officer of the Chicago PD in your Firehouse. Besides, you liked what you had platonically, you didn’t want to mess that up.
No one at Firehouse 51 knew about your evening routines with Voight. No one knew that you sometimes teasingly called him ‘Hank’, which caused him to roll his eyes. No one knew he spend one time on your couch, because a blizzard made it impossible for him to go back to his own place. No one knew he’d show up to your front door with a cup of coffee right before your shift every now and then.
Platonically of course.
And now you were standing outside the enormous building, watching the fires spill out of the windows. If you didn’t go now, you never had the chance again and Gabby would lose her brother and you would lose a great friend.
‘Chief, we only need two minutes,’ you finally said to Chief Boden, your patience running low. ‘Come on. We’ll do a quick sweep.’
He thought about your proposition for a second, but that was easily the longest second in your life. ‘You and Hermann take the east side. Casey and Otis, the west side. I want you out in two minutes and no more.’
You grabbed your equipment and with Herman you ran inside the building once you had your mask on right. The two of you took off east, occasionally yelling: ‘Fire department, call out!’
You wanted to continue walking, but then you heard a weak: ‘Over here.’
You halted Hermann in his steps. ‘You heard that?’
He nodded and it was enough of you to follow the the weak calls for help. You saw Antonio and Voight on the floor, both of them awake, but both of them in no condition to get out of her themselves. While Antonio had his foot stuck underneath a giant beam, Voight appeared weak and kept on coughing. You had never seen Voight like this before. He was always the tough guy. He protected you when he brought you home late at night. Always walked on the road side of the curb. Whenever someone looked at you and it left you uncomfortable, he’d scare them away with one single look.
You told the rest you found them and together with Hermann you pushed the beam from Antonio’s foot. Hermann and you hoisted him up and your fellow firefighter helped him out to the exit. You made your way over to Voight and said: ‘Come on, we’ve got to go.’
He looked up and through your mask, he saw all the recognition he needed. He smirked, realizing that you were here saving him, meaning he lost a stupid bet you two made. The first one to save the other, would be on the receiving end of a hundred dollars.
But that was the least of your worries now.
You wrapped his arm around your shoulder and made your way out, him heavily leaning on you. By the time you were out, you took off that oxygen mask and helped him to the gurney.
Brett placed her stethoscope on his chest. ‘A lot of smoke inhalation, we’ve got to get him to the hospital.’
The other ambulance with Antonio had already gone to Chicago Med and now you watched your friend Voight being pushed into this one, on his way to the same hospital as well.
♢ ♢ ♢
After your shift, you went straight to the hospital. You managed secretly make your way to Voight’s room, without the rest spotting you as they were here to see Antonio.
Voight’s room was empty, but there were some flowers and a basket of fruit (how unoriginal) placed on his bedside table.
He looked up and when he saw it was you, he ushered you in.
‘How are you?’ you asked as you approached him.
‘A hundred bucks lighter.’
You rolled your eyes in both annoyance and sheer unbelief he was taking it so lightly. ‘Hank, I’m serious.’
‘Me too.’
Realizing he wasn’t going to be exactly honest with you, you let it slide and said: ‘I spoke to the doctor and you’ll be discharged tonight. So, that’s great news.’
He nodded, taking in the information. Sometimes, there were moments like these between you, where he kinda shut down and didn’t show his feelings to you. You were used to it by now, though it was opposite to how you usually dealt with your feelings.
‘You need a place to stay?’ you then asked. ‘Or some company?’
He nodded. ‘I’d like that. I prefer my place.’
‘Don’t you dare say it because of the pink.’
‘I nearly died in a fire, cut me some slack,’ he told you jokingly off. ‘I’ve been through enough, no need to overdose me with pink.’
You chuckled, realizing he was feeling better already if he can joke around like that. ‘Just… Don’t scare me like that, okay? Tons of people don’t make it alive out of those fires.’
‘I did.’
‘Yes, smart ass, you did, but just don’t do that again, alright?’
‘Alright,’ he said, but that was only to ease your mind, you knew that.
You placed your hand on his and whispered: ‘I thought I lost a friend today.’
He nodded, unable to say something about it. It was weird to see Voight in a hospital bed like this. While he was in a better state than when you pulled him out of that fire, he seemed tired and a little weak.
Which wasn’t Voight’s usual look.
He squeezed your hand and when you looked up, he didn’t need to speak to get his message across.
He was thankful you pulled him out of there alive.
♢ ♢ ♢
Voight’s place was boring and empty, but he had the best coffee machine anyone could ask for. As he made himself comfortable on the couch, you two decided that, despite the caffeine and the time late at night, you were in need of a nice cup of coffee.
With the damping cups on the coffee table in front of the couch, you had turned sideways so you could look at Hank Voight sitting next to you. When he wasn’t in a hospital, he appeared a whole lot healthier within a short amount of time.
He hadn’t told you about why he was there in the old abandoned warehouse and how the mission backfired on him. Instead, you two talked about mindless things.
‘You ever hope of meeting your future husband at the firehouse?’ Voight asked, after listening to your story about your parents’ anniversary. ‘Just like your parents?’
You shook your head. ‘In house relationships are difficult,’ you noted. ‘They told me that a billion times. Besides, it’s not like there’s anyone there I like or something.’
Voight nodded, but didn’t say anything about it. Relationships were a ‘thin ice’ subject for the two of you and you always kinda avoided it.
You mostly avoided it because it was obvious you liked Voight, however you forced yourself not to think about it. If you did, you’d find yourself slipping and falling head over heels with him. If you simply didn’t acknowledge it, the crush that could turn into utter infatuation in a heartbeat, would stay in the background and would remain tamed and controllable.
The two of you spend the rest of the night in silence as you watched some television and later on, when it was time for bed, you walked with him to the master bedroom.
‘You don’t need to tuck me in,’ he said, his raspy voice even raspier than before. ‘I’m a grown man.’
‘Who nearly died in a fire today,’ you told him off. ‘Come on, I’m here already, let me do it.’
Knowing damn well he was going to lose that fight, he simply nodded and you pulled the blankets of his body.
‘You’re comfortable?’ you asked, as you tucked him in.
A nod had to suffice.
It was your cue to leave, but somehow you didn’t. You couldn’t get yourself away.
‘What’s up?’ he asked.
‘I thought I lost you,’ you admitted. ‘Meaning I could never tell you how much I,’—Don’t say it. Really don’t say it,’—care about you.’ Realizing what you just said and how that was considering slipping and falling and not containing the crush, you were quick to laugh it off. ‘But that is being overly dramatic about it. So, good night. If there’s anything, just call out for me.’
You already were halfway to the door, when that raspy voice of you brought you to a halt, simply using one word. ‘Wait.’
So you waited. You turned around and saw him pushing his tired frame up, so he could lean against the headboard. ‘Yeah?’
‘I care about you too,’ he said. ‘And… And I realized I should’ve said it before.’
‘Well, friends care about each other.’
‘I don’t want to be friends,’ he said quickly. Before the words could sting, you realized what he said without actually using words.
Screw what we have platonically.
You didn’t leave the room, instead you stalked over to him, grabbed his face and kissed him, something you formerly forced yourself not to think about. Ever. As your lips connected, Voight’s hands pulled you on the bed and you felt yourself falling head over heels with him. You carefully and masterfully created a wall between your feelings for Voight and admitting them. But that was something of the past.
After nearly losing the one man you have these feelings for, you realized life could end right now. Nothing is guaranteed. You knew that as a firefighter, but you never realized it as someone in love.
‘What about the rest?’ you asked. ‘About firehouse 51? Your division?’
He shook his head. ‘We’ll figure something out,’ he told you, before kissing you again.
A problem for later.

@cwilliams23-blog1 - thank you so much for the request!
I apologise in advance for the length of this...it’s essentially a chapter all on its own! 😅

Really hope you enjoy 💛
P.S - an early post because I’m sat at O’Hare on my way home feeling very sorry for myself!!

Prompt: “If you don't hurry up, I'll do it myself."

“Who says I want you to behave?”
The growl that tore from his throat was nothing short of feral as he gripped a handful of curls in a tight fist and fused his mouth back to hers, eager to feel her warm, pliant lips beneath his own.
But as eager as he was, there was no denying that it was such a bad idea. She was his subordinate. She was twenty years his junior. He shouldn’t even be thinking about her like this let alone be seriously considering taking her home. But right now he was doing way more than considering it. And, if he was being honest with himself, he’d been thinking about it for far longer than he was comfortable admitting.
He already knew she wouldn’t be like the other women he’d taken to bed over the last decade, where he would be itching to get out of the door as soon as it was over.
If he crossed that line with her tonight, he wasn’t sure if he’d ever be able to stop.
As her unbelievably soft lips melded with his, tongue tracing every ridge and texture his mouth had to offer, he idly wondered when he had started viewing her as anything other than just another member of his unit.
Hank Voight was many things but he didn’t consider himself blind and nor did he consider himself stupid - and you’d have needed to be both not to notice just how gorgeous Kate Meadows was. But as the weeks passed and he began to slowly peel away the many complex layers that made her who she was, he was surprised to find that there were so many things about her that appealed to his heart just as much as she appealed to his eyes. She was kind, loyal, strong, but there was a femininity and vulnerability that called to him on a visceral level, compelling him to know her in every way she would let him.
He recalled watching her march Gerald De La Croix through the bullpen, her beautiful face already dark with bruising and he had wanted to rip the bastard’s head off for laying his hands on her. As the tip of her tongue traced along his lower lip, her quiet groan of pleasure vibrating in his mouth, it suddenly occurred to him that that could very well have been the moment he had started falling for her. And now here he was, standing in the blistering cold coming to the very stark realisation that he was falling in love with his subordinate and, aside from the obvious physical attraction they had for one another, he had absolutely no idea if she felt the same.
Was he just an itch she needed to scratch? Something she just needed to get out of her system?
But before he could analyse her intentions any further, his inner monologue was interrupted when she broke away for air, breathing heavy as her fingers toyed with the short tresses at the nape of his neck.
“You wanna get outta here?” She whispered against his lips, her body trembling slightly in his arms but, whether it was with arousal or due to the polar vortex whipping around them, he wasn’t sure.
When he opened his eyes, she was peering up at him, eyes alight with desire and, before either of them could change their mind, he slipped his hand in hers with a mumble of acquiescence and hailed a cab back to her place.
The ride to her apartment was fraught with sexual tension and, although they managed to refrain from making out like teenagers right there in the backseat, they weren’t quite able to keep their hands entirely to themselves; the covert touches and whispered promises only serving to heighten the anticipation of what was to come.
When the cab finally rolled to a stop outside of her apartment, Hank handed the driver a few bills with a muttered thanks and allowed Kate to lead him out of the cold with her fingers intertwined with his, a heady combination of arousal and adrenaline surging through his veins with each step he took towards her front door. She tossed a coy grin over her shoulder when she dropped his hand and slipped the key into the lock, her eyes fluttering closed when his warm body pressed against the length of her spine, the familiar scent of leather, citrus and spices making her feel more lightheaded than the passable ninety proof at the gala ever could.
The second the door was closed, Hank had her pinned against the cool surface, his hands braced on either side of her head as he mapped a path along her jaw with curious lips. Kate instantly dropped her purse and keys to the floor with a clatter, sliding both palms along the powder blue fabric of his shirt from his stomach to his chest, pushing his well-tailored jacket from his shoulders until it joined her belongings on the hardwood floor.
“This is such a bad idea.” She whispered into the darkness, unknowingly paying homage to his own earlier hesitance and, even through the thick haze of lust clouding his vision, he needed to make sure she knew that she still had a choice.
“We can stop.”
His hands had wormed their way beneath her heavy wool coat but, as he spoke, he forced them still on her hips, refusing to pressure her one way or another but desperately hoping she wouldn’t come to her senses and send him home alone.
“God no, please don’t stop.”
He growled low in his throat the second the whispered plea left her lips, his cock throbbing almost painfully in his trousers as he returned to his task of pressing a series of hot, open-mouthed kisses along her neck, pausing briefly to dip his tongue into the hollow at the base of her throat.
The moment her coat joined his jacket on the floor, Hank inched forwards so that they were pressed tight together from thigh to chest, his mouth capturing hers in a passionate kiss just as he wedged a knee between her parted legs, groaning deeply when she instinctively ground down against him.
Her insistent fingers made short work of his tie before they moved on to the tiny pearl buttons of his shirt, the fabric gradually parting down the middle to reveal a firm chest with a generous smattering of wiry, yet surprisingly soft, salt and pepper curls. With a hum of pleasure, Kate ran her palms along his torso, her fingers mapping every patch of exposed skin as though trying to commit every brown-sugar freckle to memory.
She was already tugging at the buckle of his belt when Hank’s lust-addled brain eventually caught up and he went in search of the hidden zip on her dress, craving the feel her warm skin against his own. Once he located the tiny piece of metal between her shoulder blades, he seemed to change tact and, instead of impatiently yanking down the zipper as she expected he would, he eased it down so slowly that Kate was sure they’d be ringing in the New Year long before he finally got her naked.
“If you don’t hurry up, I’ll do it myself.” She warned, tearing her mouth from his as her head fell back against the door with a dull thud, eyes fluttering closed as Hank slowly peeled the top of her dress down to reveal a smooth, tanned décolletage.
“You always this demanding?” He muttered against her skin, his lips tracing along her collarbones as gravity took over and Kate’s dress fell away from her body, hitting the floor with a quiet whoosh.
Hank swallowed thickly when he found himself eye level with her spectacular cleavage, the perfect globes encased in what appeared to be expensive black lace but, all too soon, his lidded gaze was drawn back to her face by a gentle finger beneath his chin.
“You bet your ass I am.”
“Huh, why am I not surprised.” Hank growled with a grin, hinging at the waist to grasp the back of Kate’s thighs, ignoring her squeak of protest as he effortlessly drew both of her legs around his waist, straightening back up with her in his arms in a surprising display of strength. “Bedroom?”
Kate just about managed to whisper directions before she sealed her mouth to his in a lusty kiss, all wet tongues with very little finesse but this was exactly how she wanted him. Untamed. Raw. Passionate. The silent hallway was soon filled with quiet moans, sharp breaths and the telltale sound of lips meeting and parting until Kate found herself being gently deposited on the edge of her bed. Hank stood between her parted thighs, sliding his shirt from his shoulders while she tackled the button and zipper of his pants with slightly shaky fingers, carelessly shoving them to the floor to reveal a pair of plain black boxers beneath.
Draping his shirt over the back of a nearby chair, Hank’s pulse quickened and his throat became dry as he watched her loop her fingertips beneath the waistband of his underwear, slowly drawing the fabric down his thighs until his thick length sprang free, flushed, throbbing and leaking with excitement.
“I knew it.” She muttered coyly, the corner of her mouth ticking upwards as she peered up at him with a wry smirk, her warm palms gliding over his hipbones teasingly.
“Knew wha- uhh, fuck!”
Hank never got to find out what Kate knew because suddenly her mouth was otherwise occupied, dragging her tongue along the prominent veins criss-crossing beneath velvety soft skin and ending her inaugural tour of his sizeable package with a featherlight kiss to the trimmed nest of curls at the base.
Taking him in hand, she continued her merciless teasing with light strokes and gentle kisses until Hank thought he might spontaneously combust if she didn't give him a little more friction. Carding his fingers through her hair, he secured the wavy locks at the back of her head in a gentle fist, his entire body vibrating with need when she blew a cool stream of air over his aching tip, glancing up at him through thick, dark lashes for a beat before taking the first few inches into her hot mouth with a hum of pleasure.
“Christ Kate.” He groaned, his head dropping backwards at the incredible sensation of her mouth on his heated flesh and, for a few long moments, he stood with his face tilted towards the ceiling, heart hammering against his ribs as she lavished his body with her undivided attention.
One warm palm was braced on the outside of his thigh while her other hand encircled the thick base, sliding upwards to stroke what she wasn’t able to fit in her mouth and Hank found himself throbbing with a surge of raw, masculine satisfaction at the mere thought. But when he dropped his burning gaze back to where her perfect lips were stretched wide around his cock, his breath hitched in his throat to find her already studying his face, soaking in every response to the subtle changes in pressure and tempo.
“Taste so good.” She hummed when she drew back to give her aching jaw a rest, slick fist gliding from tip to base as she flicked her tongue against the sensitive underside just below the wide crest.
He wasn’t sure if it was because she was particularly talented or simply because it was her mouth reverently tasting him but Hank was somewhat horrified when the familiar sensation signalling his impending orgasm began to bloom low in his belly.
The thought of finishing in her luscious mouth flashed in his mind and he could vividly envisage her throat contracting in response to each thick spurt of release, greedily swallowing down everything he had to offer. But there was no doubt in his mind that he wanted the first time to be while he was buried deep inside her, her body clutching him in a vice-like grip as she fell apart in his arms.
Gently pulling her away from his body, Hank leaned down to cup her face between his hands so he could capture her lips in a soft, albeit somewhat messy kiss, before slowly easing her down onto the mattress with his weight braced on his palms either side of her head, his hips settling comfortably in the cradle of her thighs.
“Who knew you had such a talented mouth, hmm?” He breathed in between kisses, smirking slightly when her back arched from the mattress with a keening groan.
“Who knew you were such a fucking tease?” She countered, hips rolling against him in a desperate bid for any kind friction against her throbbing bundle of nerves.
Hank couldn’t help but chuckle, beginning a slow path of hot kisses along her jawline and down the graceful column of her throat, pausing to suck a deep bruise into flesh just below her left collarbone before continuing his journey south. With a bit of manoeuvring, he managed to work his hands beneath her body to release the tiny hooks on her bra from their counterparts and bare her beautiful, full breasts to his hungry gaze. Balancing his weight on an elbow, he cupped one fleshy globe in his palm before guiding the dusky nipple towards his waiting mouth, sucking the tight bud into his hot mouth with a satisfied groan. Kate raked her fingernails along his scalp, her muscles strung taut with pleasure as he turned his attention to its neglected twin.
“Hank…”
Her breathy moan stopped him in his tracks, his entire body falling completely still. Up until this point, she had always referred to him as ‘Sarg’ or ‘Voight’ but now he knew what his given name sounded like spilling from her perfect lips, he wasn’t sure how he could ever go back to just being either of those things.
Releasing her flesh with a quiet ‘pop’, he shuffled further down her body, the sound of her quiet moans of pleasure like the sweetest symphony as he tracked his lips down her smooth, toned stomach. Sliding the tips of his fingers beneath the soft lace of her underwear, he slowly drew them down her legs, tossing them haphazardly across the room before returning his attention to the task at hand, stretching out on his belly with her knees draped over his shoulders, his mouth inches from her glistening centre.
It had been a while since he was last in this position. It wasn’t that he didn’t enjoy it, quite the contrary in fact. But if he was being truly honest with himself, he simply hadn’t cared enough to want to make any encounter last longer than strictly necessary. While he had never left a woman who came to his bed wanting, he couldn’t say that he’d really been making much of an effort either.
Until now.
And right now he wanted to know exactly what Katherine Meadows looked like, tasted like and sounded like when she was in the throes of pleasure.
“Tell me what you need Kate.”
Kate heard him loud and clear but she remained silent for a few long beats, one hand fisting the sheets in a white-knuckle grip and the other digging crescent-shaped marks into the bare flesh of his forearm where he had her undulating hips pinned to the mattress.
‘I-I need…” She stammered, trying desperately to find the words that would articulate just how much she wanted him; in every way possible.
“C’mon sweetheart, you gotta tell me what you want.”
His lips tracking nonsensical patterns along the silky skin of her inner thigh and the sound of his deep, gritty voice was so distracting that the only thing she could force out was a quiet admission that she was sure he already knew.
“I want you.”
She felt his lips tug into a smug smirk as he pressed an open-mouthed kiss to the soft sliver of skin where her thigh met her groin, his tongue briefly darting out to taste her.
“You want me here?” He teased, pressing a firm but gentle kiss to the cropped thatch of curls covering her mons, eyes glancing up the length of her body to soak in the sight of her flushed cheeks and sweat-slicked torso. “Or how ‘bout here?”
When he swiped the broad flat of his tongue along the length of her, a keening whine tore from Kate’s throat and the desire that had been simmering low in her belly suddenly exploded outwards, gooseflesh bursting across her skin as though she were caught somewhere between a bitter chill and an open flame.
He alternated between long, gentle laps and firm circles with the tip of his tongue, occasionally lifting his gaze to watch her throw her head back in bliss as he expertly brought her to the very edge. Pulling her aching nub between his lips, he slipped a finger into her molten heat, groaning despite himself at the impossibly snug fit.
“Fuck Hank, right there!”
Her chest was heaving with each laboured breath, sternum glistening with sweat as she jerked and writhed beneath him. He knew she was close by the way her thighs trembled and inner walls clenched around him but, the moment he added another thick finger to join the first, she came with a sharp cry, her knees snapping together at the sheer intensity of the wave of pleasure that washed over her.
Hank adjusted both the pace and the pressure of his ministrations, opting for slow and gentle as he eased her down from her high and, when her thighs finally released their death-grip on his head, he slipped his fingers out of her and shifted upwards to drape his body along hers, their mouths instantly fusing together in a languid, tongue-filled kiss.
“Inside me...right now.” Kate demanded in between kisses, apparently reluctant to draw her mouth away from his for any longer than strictly necessary.
She could feel him at the juncture of her thighs, like steel clad in velvet as he leisurely thrust against her, the rigid length of him sliding easily through her drenched folds.
Then suddenly he froze.
“Shit, I didn’t bring…anything.”
She had no idea how he managed to be so fucking sexy and yet so endearing at the same time. The fact that he very clearly hadn’t planned to get lucky tonight made her feel surprisingly powerful, even more so now that he was gazing down at her with a slightly crestfallen expression at the thought of their night being drawn to a premature close.
“Top drawer.”
Kate almost laughed out loud at his not-so-subtle sigh of relief when he leaned across her body and yanked open the drawer of her nightstand, pushing aside the charging cables, books and tubes of chapstick until he found a strip of square foil packets.
As he tore one off with his teeth and tossed the rest aside, he reluctantly acknowledged the slight spike of irritation that lanced down his spine at the fact that she even had condoms in her possession in the first place. She was a grown woman with needs so it wasn’t as though it was a surprise...he just fucking hated the thought of her using them with somebody that wasn’t him.
Shifting back onto his knees, he carefully rolled the latex down over his rock hard length under Kate’s watchful gaze and, as her heated hazel eyes tracked each and every move he made, Hank couldn’t remember the last time he had felt so virile, so wanted.
Kate’s heart was pounding in anticipation watching the muscles in his arms and chest ripple as he sheathed himself with steady, sure movements. It was surprisingly intimate watching him prepare himself for her but the overpowering feeling of ‘rightness’ of being in the moment with him was like nothing she had ever experienced before.
When he was done, she welcomed him with open arms as he crawled back between her thighs, his mouth immediately seeking hers when his lithe body pressed hers into the soft mattress and, once again, Kate was slightly overwhelmed by how perfectly his body seemed to fit with her own. Her entire world narrowed to where his flesh touched hers; his belly pressed tight against hers, the soft hairs on his chest grazing her aching nipples, his tongue teasing hers lazily. Wrapping her legs around his waist, she slipped a hand between their bodies to take him in hand and line the thick tip of his cock against her.
“You sure about this?” He asked quietly, hips remaining completely still as he eased up onto his palms so that he could look her in the eyes. “There’s no goin’ back once we cross this line.”
They’d reached the point of no return. If they didn’t stop now, everything would change. But, in Kate’s mind, everything already had changed. It changed the minute he’d followed her out into the street and kissed her as though she was the oxygen he needed to breathe.
Sliding the hand that had been gripping his shoulder to cup the sharp line of his jaw, Kate swiped the pad of her thumb over his lower lip, her eyes locked on his.
“I’m sure.”
His warm russet orbs seemed to burst into flames as his mouth descended on hers and suddenly he was pushing inside her, their simultaneous groans of pleasure being caught in open mouths as he eased forwards until his entire length was sheathed in her tight, pulsating heat. Tearing his mouth from hers, he buried his face into the soft, lightly fragranced skin of her neck, holding himself completely still as her inner walls stretched and rippled around him, gripping his body as though she never wanted to let him go.
“Hank?”
Clearly he had been still and silent for just a beat too long but he soon became cognizant of her gentle fingers carding through the short tresses on the back of his head, the palm of her other hand smoothing tenderly over his bicep. Peppering a myriad of kisses to the tender flesh of her throat, he shifted her thigh a little higher along his ribcage and began a slow, steady pace, barely withdrawing before pushing back in the hilt.
“Fuck!” Kate breathed, her eyes slamming shut and her head tilting backwards on a particularly deep thrust, fingernails raking the skin of his back leaving four, vivid pink welts in its wake.
“Mmm, that feel good?” He panted against her throat, sweat beginning to bead on his forehead as he steadily increased his pace, the sound of flesh meeting flesh echoing in the darkness.
“God yes, do it again.”
She felt his lips pull into a grin against her throat, a mumbled “so bossy” muffled in the juncture of her neck and shoulder before he did exactly as she asked, grinding his pelvis against her slick core with each downward thrust.
Kate was balancing on the edge of bliss when he slowed to a stop, his teeth nipping none-too-gently at her collarbones.
“What’re you-”
Her question was cut short when he slipped his arms beneath her body once more and rolled them both until he was on his back with Kate sitting astride him, her knees bracketing his lean hips. With a coy smirk, Kate braced her hands on his damp chest and leaned in to gently touch her lips to his.
“You want me to ride you?” She hummed, sucking his lower lip into her hot mouth, laving it with her tongue before straightening up and rolling her hips in smooth, slow circles, grinning when Hank growled low in his throat and his hands darted out to catch her waist in a tight grip.
The raging heat between them continued to burn as Kate undulated above him, sweat trickling down her spine as he met her thrust for thrust, the familiar coil of pleasure tightening in her belly.
“You close?” Hank ground out through gritted teeth, his eyes fixed on where his slick length disappeared inside her tight heat until there was no space at all left between their bodies. All Kate could do was whimper and nod frantically, her nails digging crescent-shaped grooves into the firm muscles of his chest, occasionally catching on his sensitive nipples as she rocked against him.
Grasping one of his hands in her own, Kate pressed the tips of his index and middle fingers against her swollen bundle, guiding him into the perfect rhythm that had her vision slowly turning black and her eyes rolling into the back of her head. Watching her writhe above him, using his body for her own pleasure was like the most potent aphrodisiac and Hank was barely holding back the tides of his own powerful climax, desperate to feel her tighten around him before he allowed himself to tumble over the edge into euphoria.
“Feel so good...come for me Kate.” He encouraged, sliding his free hand up over her rib cage to brush the pad of his thumb over the stiff peak of her nipple, cupping the ample flesh in his palm and giving it a firm squeeze.
The sound of his voice, his warm touch and the incredible stretch of his thick cock had Kate in sensory overload and, before long, her entire body was going rigid above him as she came with a loud cry. Hank was right there with her, his hips jerking frantically against her until he spilled inside her with a feral growl, his quivering muscles eventually relaxing when Kate dropped down onto his chest, boneless, breathless and deliriously satisfied.
When Kate finally floated back down to earth, she became cognizant of his gentle fingertips tracing nonsensical patterns along the length of her damp spine, his free hand resting softly against her thigh.
“Wow.” She breathed, eyes fluttering closed as the comforting sound of his heart thrummed steadily in her ear. Kate wondered when she had come to think of the sound of his heart as ‘comforting’? Had she even heard his heartbeat before now? She had felt it, that much she knew. She had felt it thudding wildly between her shoulder blades as she danced against him at the strip club and she had felt it again tonight; strong and steady, just like the man himself.
Hank hummed in agreement, waiting patiently until she was ready to move and, when she did eventually shift above him, the movement was accompanied by a whine of displeasure when he slipped from her body. Despite not being intimately joined, Kate still remained draped across his body with her head tucked comfortably beneath his chin, content to simply bask in the afterglow of incredible sex but, before she could drift off into a sated sleep, his deep, rumbling voice pulled her back to the present moment.
“What did you mean earlier? When you said that you knew?”
He felt her wry smile against the soft flesh of his throat, followed by a warm puff of air as she huffed out a light laugh. Lifting her chin, she nuzzled her nose against the underside of his jaw, pressing her lips to his Adam’s Apple before whispering softly in his ear.
“That you had the goods to back up the, uh, cocky swagger.”
Hank danced his fingertips over her dewy spine, grinning broadly as a tight whine escaped her throat when he rolled his hips against her sensitive, swollen centre, his softened length already twitching with renewed interest.
“Give me a few more minutes and I’ll show you just how cocky I can be.”

“Any cases?” Jay asked as he sat down at his desk.
Erin shook her head. It had been a slow day for the intelligence unit. “No its been a slow day.”
“Hmmm.” Voight hummed also listening to Erin’s answer. Even Voight was getting bored.
But when Trudy came up the stairs with concern on her face, that got everyone's attention. “Voight. Y/n’s principle is on the phone.”
“Thank you, Trudy.” Voight nodded and headed into his office and picked up the phone. “Hello.”
“Hello, Mr.Voight. I’m sorry for calling you at work.” Y/n’s principal apologized over the phone.
“It's not a problem. What's going on? Is Y/n alright?” Voight spoke with a tight voice. It was rare when the school called him so he was really worried but trying not to show it.
There was a pause on the phone before the person on the other side cleared their throat. “That's why I called there was an altercation and Y/n got very hurt so we’ve sent her to Chicago Med. We wanted to let you know and we also we’re hoping you could send down someone to talk to the kids responsible.”
“Yeah, I can do that.” Voight stated after a moment of silence. After that, the phone call ended and Voight shook his head trying to control his anger before exiting his office. “Ruzek and Linsdey head down to Y/n’s school and bring in the kids they’ll have there waiting for you back here to talk. Burgess call their parents and let them know that I’ll be pressing charges.”
“Voight, what happened?” Erin asked as her and the others started on their orders. All of them were now concerned about the teen girl they had all come to love and be very protective of.
“Some kids hurt Y/n bad enough that the school has sent her to Chicago Med.” Voight explained gruffly, trying to keep his worries and anger in check.
“What?!” Adam raised his brows in shock and he felt anger bubbling up on the inside. Much like everyone else in the room.
“Seriously? They just what? Let that happen?!” Jay was furious, he hadn’t known her the longest but even with his problems with Voight. Jay and Y/n had become close. They’d hang out, and go do things together. It bonded them. They’re friends. Y/n is like a little sister that Jay never had.
“Apparently. Look I’m going to Med to be with my daughter.” It unnerved the unit with how calm Voight seemed to be.
“I’ll come with you.” Jay said getting up to follow the older man.
“Let's go.” Voight nodded, he knew how close his daughter was to Jay. He might bring some comfort.
Everyone else headed off to do what they needed to do.
Once they arrived at Med, they went straight to the ED. Upon seeing his brother Jay called out. “Will!”
“How is she?” Voight asked as the redheaded Halstead appeared and stood in front of them.
Will let out a sigh, looking between his brother and Voight. “She doesn’t need surgery, which is the good news.”
As much of a relief that was it still left a question. “An the bad news?”
“About 70% of her body is covered in bruising, and she has a broken wrist, a few cracked ribs, and a laceration above her eye.” Will gave them a sad look. He to like a lot knew Y/n, and Will felt for the girl. She didn’t deserve this.
“Jeez Will.” Jay felt like throwing up. How could the school let it get this far? Or happen at all.
“I know.” Will nodded, he felt just like Jay.
“Where is she? Can I see her?” Voight asked keeping his feelings at bay for the time being. He was feeling to many things at once anyway.
“Yeah, right this way.” Will stated, leading them back to the trauma room Y/n Voight had been assigned to.
As they reached the room and saw y/n sitting up in the bed slightly leaning back. Probably to take pressure off her ribs.
“Hey, how about we go get copies of the injury reports and give them a minute?” Jay suggested with a tilt of his head. Wanting to give the father and daughter some space.
There were some moments of silence as Voight moved to sit down in the chair next to the hospital bed. It got to the point that Voight needed answers to keep his brain occupied. “Kid-”
“I know, dad.” Y/n cut him off nodding. Already knowing what he was going to say.
“What exactly happened?” he asked. He needed to know for many reasons but his main one and his focus now was just why and how this happened to his little girl. “Y/n.”
Y/n let out a sigh, knowing she had to tell him cause it was going to far and out of hand now. “It’s not the first time something happened.”
“You mean-”
Y/n nodded not looking at him. She couldn’t look at him. Not in the eyes. “It's normally not this bad.”
Now Voight was having an even harder time keeping it together. How could he not notice? How come she didn’t come to him? “Why didn’t you tell me? Or anyone?”
“I've tried before. To tell teachers bit either they do nothing or it just makes it worse.” She had thought about telling her dad or even Jay but if the school wouldn’t help how could they?
Voight shook his head reaching out for her hand, trying to get her to look at him. “I could’ve done something.”
“As a dad. Not as a cop. It wasn’t bad enough for cop involvement.” Y/n gave him a tight lipped sad smile.
She had a point and it bugged him cause he knew it was true. But now, this. This meant he could get involved as a cop, and a dad. “Well now it is and you can bet your ass I’m gonna do something about it.”
Y/n cracked a smile at him. “I don’t know who they should be more afraid of. You or Jay.”
“Combined force, sweetheart.”Voight gave her a half smirk half smile. Voight know she was right, he saw and could feel the anger coming off of Jay on the ride over to Med.
“Ohhh, deadly.” Y/n giggled wiggling her eyebrows and laughed. Even though they knew it was true.
Voight squeezed her hand for comfort before speaking. “You know you can talk to me right? About anything?”
He truly hoped she knew that. That she could come to him about anything and everything.
“I didn’t want to worry you.” Y/n shrugged but looked down feeling a little ashamed. That she didn’t tell him and that it happened at all.
“I’m your father. I worry even when your okay.” he told her sternly. He cared about her more than he could ever tell her. Or show her.
“I love you dad.” Y/n smiled at him grateful to have this off her chest, for him to know, and that he was by her side.
“I love you too.” Voight was gonna take care of this. An no one was gonna get in his way.
