As much as i would love Hannibal season 4 i cannot express how perfect i think the ending was. The Hannibal finale changed me as a person, i have never seen something so artsy and romantic in my whole goddamn life. I’d actually die of excitement for season 4 but I don’t think they could ever top that ending and I think it was a perfect ending to their love story

this is such an important scene, its sad it was deleted.
the lighting/shadows show that the outside world can see Hannibal's darkness and all the things that make him a criminal, and Will Graham can see the lightness in him, all the things that still make Hannibal a person. While for Will, the world can see the things that make Will a good person, how he just wanted to save people. etc. Then Hannibal can see the dark in him, his murderous aura.

Screaming from the roof tops Hannigram didn’t need to kiss it didn’t suit the way their relationship was built in the show! Common gestures of romantic intimacy weren’t their cup of tea! They killed a man together and went flying off the edge of a cliff! That was the most fuvked up, brutal, and beautiful declaration of love and forgiveness you’ve ever seen!

Hot Take - As someone who just watched Hannibal for the first time (and adored every second of it), I don't actually want a season 4. Why?
Because of the implications of the fall.
All throughout the show, the romantic tension between Hannibal and Will is obviously palpable. But, due to the circumstances of their relationship, the power dynamics and manipulation is so incredibly toxic. When I was thinking about a possible ending for the show, my mind immediately went to a fight between them, where one (presumably Hannibal based on track record) ends up killing the other. Because I didn't see an ending where they could fully accept the good and REALLY bad parts of one another to finally put the past behind them and embrace their love.
Say Will didn't make that jump. Or say they ran off together as proposed in S2.
Will would always feel guilty for allowing Hannibal to hurt others, even though being with him makes him feel more alive then ever. And Hannibal wouldn't change the dark parts of himself for Will, and would always fight for Will embrace his own darker tendencies, even if it would push the man he loved away.
I don't see any way that they could have resolved their conflicts and found a solution where both were satisfied. This would mean either one of them would have to die, leaving a "winner" and "loser," which would be disappointing to the audience, or, they both would need to die. And even then, both dying would need to be done carefully, because it could still lead to a clear winner/loser situation. (Ex: the original script for the ending where Will lunges towards Hannibal and shoves him off the cliff, falling with him. That frames Will as a clear winner, finally defeating Hannibal, which is MUCH different than what we got). I think that Will, making the sacrifice to die with Hannibal, is the perfect ending. Neither wins, neither loses. Neither lays down their principles for the sake of the other, they just finally truly SEE one another, and die in the first true peaceful (and incredibly intimate) embrace that they have shared.
It's a very poetic and bittersweet ending to a dark and twisted show, and I feel like that's perfect.
Yes, I know technically they were to live through the fall would there have been a S4. Yes, it would be very fun to see them be murder husbands and explore their new relationship.
But no, I don't think it's worth possibly ruining what may be the best ending in TV history.

Observations/thoughts from my rewatch of Mizumono
*Hannibal Spoilers*
Will didn’t necessarily want to survive Hannibal
When he looked at Hannibal at the end, Will had hope in his eyes because he thought that there was a chance
All Hannibal really wanted was someone (Will) to know him and understand him, but he couldn’t bear to actually allow himself that vulnerability
Before Will found Alana, he likely would have gone with Hannibal, but even after that (when he saw Abigail) he still would have gone with him
Bedelia was second to Will in Hannibal’s eyes because she was willing to be manipulated by him (in a way)
Hannibal did awaken something dormant in Will that was a similarity between them, just not necessarily to the extent that he thought he had
Will saw a life where he was with Hannibal because he thought that Hannibal understood him and could see him just as Hannibal himself wanted to be seen
