Hi guys! The way I hear it, tonight marks the last night of Hanukkah, so I would like to say, Chag Urim Sameach!

However you’ve celebrated it, I hope that you and yours are happy and safe. It’s easy at this time to feel like you’re alone, but I would like you to remember that as you light the final candle, millions of others like you, and in your situation are thinking and feeling the same way. Wishing they could have spent it with their family and friends, wishing they could have done it with you. You are not alone. You are in their thoughts, and you are in mine too.

Stay safe, and Chag Urim Sameach!

Mine happened in Christmas 2014. At the time, I was ten years old and DEEP into my Frozen phase. It’s also worth noting that I used to wake up at ungodly hours of the morning around events that were happening, and that included holidays.

It was around 12 or 1 AM when I woke up that Christmas morning. I was sat down in the living room, fiddling around with what was in my stocking that year until my eyes settle upon the big gift for that year: a little karaoke machine that I no longer have themed after Frozen. And so at 2 AM, I start messing around with it to get a feel for how it works and after a particularly loud bit of feedback my older sister comes out of her room because I had woken her up. Every Christmas since then, she always goes out of her way to remind me of that.

I really don’t know what to say, I don’t celebrate it.
