I made an anime journal where Kirinmaru, Kikyo, and Sesshomaru are together.

So yes, I ship Kikyo and Kirinmaru. But before that, during my teenage years, when I was a nursing student, I used to ship Kikyo and Sesshomaru (SessKik). Until now, yeah 😅... I still love them. I dunno why I so much in love with demon-priestess romance relationship.. haha! I fell in love with fan arts I saw on DeviantArt, all of her SessKik arts are soft and very romantic. And she is the reason why I pushed myself to become a fan artist. I dream of becoming like her someday. I owe her a lot because of her beautiful arts. Thanks to her, I can make my own fan art now. I am inspired by her...🥰🥰

Food for thought: I think the reason people hate that Moroha gets the Slapstick Comedy routine is because, well….. she's a girl. Usually that role is reserved for boys.

Think about it: almost every single shounen male protagonist gets whacked upside the head (or kicked to kingdom come -- or every variation in-between) in practically every episode of their shows. Whereas, violence towards women in these sorts of anime is either taboo and is called out by other characters, shown to be physical or (god forbid) sexual assault, or simply not happen at all. If anything, slapstick violence is often perpetrated by women, against men assaulting them (or men perceived to be a pervert).

So even comedic, not-to-be-taken-seriously "violence" towards characters like Moroha is upsetting to viewers who are not used to women being used for slapstick.

dude, if you want to talk to me, that's fine. but i don't want to talk about yashahime or sessrin anymore, especially not the shippers. Not everything is about SessRin, stop connecting everything I post to SessRin and it’s shippers. Most of the time when i talk about fandom stuff on this site, i’m thinking of a general observation i’ve had from over a decade in fandom.

it's not productive. i said in my video and on here that i'm done talking about it. i don’t mind talking about characters, or if you need me to clarity something from my video or something i’ve said, or writing, or shipping culture, but overall: I. Am. Done. Talking. About. SessRin, especially within the context of it’s shippers.

we had a good run. i’ve said my piece and let it go. i'm sure there are plenty of people who'll listen to you talk about them or care what they’re up to, i'm not one of them. it’s not for me. I don’t even consider myself part of the Inuyasha fandom because it just doesn’t feel like a safe space for me most of the time. Y’all are lovely, I just don’t find the same comfort within the series and the community that I need when it comes to fandom.

i probably won’t make another video on it, and i don’t really have a lot more to say, tbh. other than, i’m really sorry this happened. i really am.

what am i supposed to do with this information? what do you want me to say? that i think it’s horrible if that’s true? it’s horrible. it sucks that fandom can bring this out in people, and i’m sure if i thought a lot about it i’d come to some kind of conclusion why it happens; the way that fandom can get people to behave is absolutely wild. that’s all i got.

i feel bad for anyone who’s gotten harassment over this or has been impacted over this. I do. I feel bad for anyone who is still working through their feelings or who has been genuinely hurt or needs to vent. i’m so sorry, guys.

and i don’t know about the other thing. i don’t like Star Wars, but I know the fandom does has a penchant for toxicity. But i’d argue most of the bigger ones do. seeing people arguing that doxing and harassment are new problems in fandom is absolutely wild to me.

i guess i just don’t know what you’re asking of me here.

How do you find interviews that Rumiko has done about Inuyasha? Google doesn’t give me much info. The most I could find was the character profile thingies and some stuff on twitter. I feel like there’s a lot of fandom hc that just kinda get accepted into C without any real sources?? I’m so confused about where people are getting their information. I was hoping to find some forums or translated message boards but nope :(

The #1 source for translations of Rumiko Takahashi interviews is @rumic-world (rumicworld1 on twitter), you can find all the interviews on their website furinkan.com (here). Dylan & Harley Acres have been die-hard fans of Rumiko Takahashi for like, 20+ years, and they collect everything they can find about her. Their translations tend to be reliable and unbiased from what I heard.

For recent interviews, especially regarding everything related to Yashahime, @ayuuria has translated almost all of them on their blog.

And finally @inu-fanon was a fan translator of the IY manga and they debunked a lot of misinformation & mistranslations in the fandom on their blog. I also found a few verifiable info about Rumiko from them that I didn't find anywhere else.

If someone tells you "Rumiko said that" but they can't link back to these people, or they can't provide a screenshot or link to the source in Japanese, I would not believe what they're saying, lol.

Some classic "Rumiko said" that are false: - "Kagome doesn't age in the feudal era because she's from the future so she can live for a long time with Inuyasha" this was on Kagome's page on a fan wiki called "Heroes Wiki" with no source but it looks like they removed it. - "Inuyasha was meant to end up with Kikyo and Kagome was meant to go back to the future but Rumiko was pressured by fans to make inukag endgame" or "Rumiko only made Inukag endgame because Kagome's VA told her to" (the source for this is a Spanish blogpost which mistranslated this interview (Q4) where Rumiko said that she hesitated about "which world" Kagome was going to choose but in the end she felt like Kagome would be living "with half a soul" without Inuyasha so she went with what was best for Kagome). - "Inuyasha was confirmed to be 200 years old & aging slowly. " The profile book only says Inuyasha is "15 (in human years)" which could be a reference to him being sealed for 50 years. In 2001 Rumiko said she doesn't know how hanyo ages, only that she wrote Inuyasha to be 15 so he's the same age as Kagome. In 2020 she said that Inuyasha, Kagome and Moroha "age at about the same pace as the timeframe of the story. Signs of their aging may show up decades later." which to me means they age like humans. The Inuyasha is 200 years old thing is from the third movie and everything anime-only is non-canon to me.

There's probably others but you get the idea! I know all this because Inuyasha is my special interest and I need to know EVERYTHING there is to know about the series lmaoo ✌ Also because I hate 90% of the popular fanon for the series, especially for inukag.

You know, I still can't understand people. If you don't like a certain show or character because of reasons, then stop watching it or leave the character alone. Simply say why it isn't your cup of tea then find another that fits your taste. Why do you have to exert so much energy just to hate on it? like creating an account specifically just to insult the staff, then trashing every single detail you notice in the show. Or even sending death threats (that's going way too far). I understand not everything goes out the way we want to, but at least show some respect to the people that worked so hard just to give us entertainment, and let the audience enjoy it. Better to just focus on those that you love instead on those you dislike.
