" Neil! You'll never guess what I got! " Todd came in just bursting though the door, almost breaking it with his excitement.

Neil was in the living, seemingly reading his book, or a script, Todd didn't know what he was reading. All he knew he was reading. Not anymore, as he sprung up from the couch and enveloped Todd in a massive bear hug.

" What! " He replied matching Todd's energy, jumping up and down with him, annoying the downstairs neighbours as per usual.

" You know the book of poetrys I wrote, and I was working real hard on! " exclaimed Todd, evidently not containing his excitement anymore.

" Yes! " squelled Neil, already knowing the answer, a massive grin appearing on his.

" I'm getting it published!!! " shouted Todd, hugging Neil tighter and jumping around. Who are the downstairs neighbours? Never heard of them.

After tirelessly jumping around, both landed on the couch. Todd buried his face in the crook of Neil's neck. " Can you believe it! I'm an official author, an official poet! "

Neil craned his neck to kiss Todd on the forehead, " You always were love. "

Todd looked up at Neil, " I love you so much Neil, " he announced, like it was his first time saying it.

Something about Neil's face darkened though, saddened, turning from a lovesick, joyous grin. To a meloncholic, sorrowful, dead face.

" Todd, you have to wake up, I'm not here anymore, you know that, I haven't been for many years, you have to go on, and leave me behind, if you're that mournful then relive me in your poetry, but not here, never here, or you'll never move, leave me behind and go. "

Despairing tears pricked the rims of Todd's eyes, it hadn't again. It always happens, it happens like that always, always when he says " I love you. "

Everything went dark.

Very dark.

Todd shot up from bed, sweat beaded across from his face, hair matted in a way it will take long to untie, his heavy breathing shoock his whole frame. Until someone came to soothe his distress

" Todd, love, what happened? " Neil asked panick and concern evidence in his eyes, in his every gesture.

Todd practically jumped on top on of Neil, wrapping a tight but breathable hug. " I - " he chocked on a sob " dreamt you died, that I had to leave you, - I can't - I can't - "

" Hush darling, I'm here, I'm not dead, I'm here " calmed Neil, carding through Todd's hair, rocking him slightly, saying quiet words on comfort, and soft yet loving kisses.

" I'm sorry " said Todd meekly

" No no, it's alright, "

" I really though you were gone. "

" I'm here love, like I'll always be. "
