Hmmm I’m gonna have to go with when my mom, sister, and I all went to Las Vegas for my 21st birthday! It was so much fun and just an incredible experience 💕

Something you’re proud of yourself for?

Probably continuing my therapy journey! I’ve been in therapy continuously since I graduated in 2020 and I feel like I’ve made some good progress! I’m proud of myself for not giving up when things felt impassable

Favorite books?

Soooo i’m not too big on reading but something I will read over and over again is the fruits basket series!!!! That’s the only book series I’ve read in its entirety and I love every bit of it!!!

Something that makes your heart happy when thinking about it?

It’s not the dart scene at the start of replacements idk what you’re talking about

Favorite thing about your culture?

About being American? I guess just the fact that BoB is American 🤣

When did you join the HBO War fandom? What was the first show you watched?

Umm i think in April ‘23?? @dontirrigateme and I had just watched the x-men first class movies and wanted to watch more James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, so of course we watched BoB… the world has never been the same

Have you read any of Easy Company’s books? If so, which ones were your favorite?

I’m trying to read Ambrose’s book right now, but I have Winters’ Beyond Band of Brothers, Guarnere and Babe’s book, and a couple others on my shelf!! (if anyone finds Webster’s shark book i promise you my first born for a copy of that)

Favorite HBO War character and your favorite moment with them?

Oh goodness there’re so many!!! Ummm well right now I’m going thru a Liebgott phase oml the man makes me FOAM AT THE MOUTH so I’m gonna go with when he tends to Talbert on the Night of the Bayonet, like Liebgott is known for his temper and fighting but here (and with Tipper) you can see he’s an absolute SWEETHEART AAAA I WOULD DIE FOR JOSEPH DAVID LIEBGOTT

Do you make content for any fandoms, if so; what sort of content?

I’ve just recently started writing for BoB!! I also have some Pokemon x BoB collages that I’ve made 🥰

Favorite actor/actress and your favorite film of theirs?

Johnny Depp hands down, and absolutely pirates of the caribbean, it’s just all-around lovely and whimsical and amazing (fun fact till like middle school i had no idea what Johnny Depp actually looked like because my only references for him were Captain Jack Sparrow and Willy Wonka and they just did not look the same to me 🤣)

Favorite quote/s that you wish to share with others?

I think I’ve said this before, but it’s a quote from my blorbo Vincent Van Gogh, “I feel that there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people.”

My dad’s retired Navy, so I grew up moving around until he retired when I was about 8!

Today in Fandom History: June 3

Fandom: X-Men/Marvel

June 3rd, 2011, the movie adaptation/take of the X-Men First Class comic series was published. In this movie, we get to see the origins of the very first X-Men, including Professor X, Magneto, Beast, Mystique, Havoc, Banshee, and Angel. We also get to see the start and building of the oh so famous relationship between Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr. Which is one of the most complex in the Marvel Universe, comic or live action. (But more on that for a June Pride post to come!) James McAvoy takes Patrick Stewarts places as Xavier, Michael Fassbender takes on a younger version of Sir Ian McKellan’s Erik, Jennifer Lawrence plays the young version of Rebecca Romjin’s Mystique, and Nicholas Hoult takes on Kelsey Grammar’s Hank McCoy. This is the first foray we get into the younger X-Men cast as Fox’s X-Men started with the 2000 movie centered around Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm, all of whom will eventually become part of the younger cast. We would get four more younger-cast movies, including Days of Future Past which would integrate the new cast with the old, and establish a new canon. A frankly phenomenal event that is simply not talked about enough. This is the first real glance we get of a multiverse situation in really any superhero flick. And it deserves more recognition. Happy 11th birthday First Class.

PS. a Cherik post is coming in celebration of pride month, including the history of the characters/their relationships, episodes of the X-Men cartoon to watch for the ship, youtube videos/channels, and fic recs.

Younger Child “Deeps” - 18-21, open gender, open face: Spunky and not interested in tradition, this kiddo is a bit of a spitfire! Deeps isn’t interested in being what the world wants Deeps to be, but is still navigating the way the world works with the help of Vin and Ani!

Michael Fassbender said in an interview with Happy Sad Confuse's Josh Horowitz that he did the narrating voice of The Killer laying in Bed... Makes me wonder if he and/or David Fincher watched The Mandalorian and got the idea from Pedro mentioning a Bedroom voice... Hmm Also, I read from an anon of a Tumblr I follow that Pedro would have been just as great in The Killer. While I disagree with that anon that Pedro should have been casted instead of Fassy, this is a reminder that most of the qualities (if not all) that make me love Pedro as an actor (and crush on him -within reason-) are the very ones that drew me (and continue to draw me) to Fassy. I have mixed feelings about astrology, but given they share the same birthday, I do wonder if there is something about people being born on April 2nd (although Ajay Devgn and Jessie Plemmons overlap too, Pedro and Fassy have a lot more in common between them both than with Plemons and Devgn respectively). I also do agree with the blogger in question that Pedro needs to chase more serious roles. But there also was a time when Fassy said no and saw a string of flops (although I think that three of them were rather underrated films.)
