i think the reason izzy can be so blasé about his relationship with ed is not because hes taken to blaming a shark instead, but because hes actually already done a lot of the processing in the previous episode.
hes mourned his leg, hes had his drunk crying rants. hes gone through the five stages of grief. and then? the crew reaches out to him, offers him their support. they make him a new leg, they nominate him their new figurehead. when he stands there on the prow of the ship, leg on, letter in hand, thats his acceptance, thats his moving on.

No Excuses November - 19/30
Summary(11/19.11)
yoga 2/2
weight-training - 2/2
eating 80/20 - 4/7
It was a loooooooong week. I would need 2 weekends to rest tbh. But I hit most of my goals which is good. Today I had a really nice yoga practice preparing myself for inversions, but as my arms were still sore from gym it was harder than it was supposed to be. I did manage to make my forearm-head stand with bended knees, but I still struggle to straighten them in this position, which sucks as I already was able to do it last year. But hey, I guess everything comes with time and hard work. Gonna keep working on them goals.
Wish you all a nice Sunday xox

okay wait laughingstock concept Incoming: so im imagining some of the neighbors (maybe Julie & Frank) noticing that Barnaby & Howdy are a lil fruity, yk yk. and Julie's like damn, i guess we have to play matchmaker here.
so naturally they wind up getting the whole neighborhood involved. everybody's a wingman here. Poppy's dropping hints when Howdy drops off groceries, Wally is constantly asking Barnaby to go get him things from the bodega, etc etc. Howdy and Barnaby are facing this sudden change in town-wide behavior with slight concern and bemusement
eventually - lets say Julie, Sally, and Wally - get Barnaby into the bodega and then abruptly leave like "don't have too much fun without us you two *wink wink nudge nudge*". once they're gone (read: very obviously hiding outside & watching through the window) Barnaby & Howdy turn to each other like:
Barnaby: you think we should tell them we're already married?
Howdy: let them have their fun - they'll figure it out eventually

A holiday is not just a delightful diversion from our everyday life. It enhances both our physical health and mental well-being. It is an experience where we need to have an open mindset to gain happy, fulfilling memories that stay with us for many years to come. These memories will surface when we need to find a happy place and de-stress ⛵🌊🏝️

Last ride of 2023 was a wet gravel ripper to finish off the year at 27,063 km. This last one week push saw my biggest 7 day distance of 847 km and I completed the December eight day Rapha Festive 500 with 1,009 km ridden.
It’s been a trying year, with some unexpected time off the bike due to injury and a mental challenge to try and bounce back. I will attempt to bring back some more balance into my lifestyle in 2024 which will mean more quality and less quantity.
This year I was more interested in how I could push my limits and I was fortunate circumstances for the most part allowed me to test this. Happy New year everyone.

"No Excuse November" Goals List
Hello!
So I've joined "No Excuse November" (duuh) challenge by @m0tiv8me
Time to make goals list, so in November I want to:
Focus on strenghtening my core more so I can make my forearms/head-stand.
Eat better - I wanna stick to the 80/20 rule, let's try that.
Work out at least 2 times/week in gym.
Make at least 2 yoga sessions/week.
Hope I will make it lol. If you're in challenge too I wish you good luck :d
