Hard pill to swallow for the SHEIN Girlies
One of the hardest pills to swallow for regular people in regards to saving the planet seems to be that they just DO NOT want to go without any of the luxuries they have gotten used to
To those I will say: You cannot deny any longer that overconsumption is a major problem and cause of so much environmental pollution and destruction.
People always say 'oh but I'm just one person'. Yeah everyone is just one person until everyone thinks that way. People use it both to absolve themselves of any wrongdoing and to defend their apathy. It is the main logical fallacy that gets in the way of progress.
And again no, this is NOT aimed at anyone disadvantaged, in poverty or otherwise struggling, this is aimed at my fellow middle and upper class white people. Whom could so easily do the right thing but don't
We have to scale down and focus on Degrowth. I'm saying it politely now; start living more modestly now, while you still can, cause if you don't, then nature, climate breakdown and the collapse of society will force you to

Hope is the seed of progress

Alright I’m gonna say it.
I know people defending the finale of season 5 reason for Adrien not being there have the main defense of “Chat Blanc and Ephemeral” as why story wise Adrien shouldn’t have been involved in the final confrontation.
Not only do I think those are weak arguments, Season 5 has so many different conditions from the other two seasons, including the growth of Marinette and Adrien. Plus with Gabriel dying that’s a whole new variable to be considered. The situational variables don’t line up as a proper explanation. It’s a shoddy reasoning at best.
But the nail in the coffin of the arguments are the fact that Gabriel got the wish.
In both ephemeral and Re-creation he got his wish.
And y’all are telling me that Adrien being involved would have made things worse?
Nah, sorry. I don’t buy it.
(But Adrien could be controlled)
Yes, and it would make it BETTER!
Imagine the final fight, Adrien being forced to fight bug noire.
Oh the angst! The suspense.
So many things for this finale that could have been done. But weren’t.
The only reason I can THINK that has any merit to having Adrien not be involved is for drama later, but it’s not really set up for that and until season 6 is out and shows potential of it… it’s straight up Copium.

After this year, I've learned a lesson.
When someone ghosts me, I know where the door is.
When someone ghosts you, it means they aren't mature enough to have an open, honest, raw and uncomfortable conversation with you.
I've stopped blaming myself when someone ghosts me. I blame them.
Like I said in a few posts that I did; when someone can't have that open, honest, raw, uncomfortable conversation with me... I'm leaving, for good.
I know you made your bed and I made mine. By me leaving and I'm never coming back.

(Gentile) Polish people did take part in the holocaust btw. Any claim otherwise is ahistorical and blatantly false.

I mean... it wouldn't be that hard to retroactively say that there were casualties as a result of the Hex. I don't want that to happen, obviously, but if someone really wanted to, one could easily say that a bunch of people starved to death since they were being suspended and unable to eat or drink (though I think there's an argument to be made that the Hex itself was sustaining them), or that some people were so mentally broken by the mind control that they committed suicide. That would definitely be too dark for the MCU, but it would be feasible.
Also, even if no one was physically harmed, how are people supposed to mentally recover from having their minds invaded and their bodies puppeted for days on end, all while feeling insurmountable pain and torment to the point where they seriously want to die? I'm sorry, but there is simply no way to be OK after that.
And that's just talking about the adults. Imagine how mentally fucked up the CHILDREN will be from this. Even if Wanda's Hex kept them sedated, that still means they were still seeing her horrific nightmares the entire time, to say nothing of the day that they were being puppeted like everyone else.
Wanda may very well have damaged Westview's citizens beyond repair. Sure, she didn't mean to do it, or even realize she was doing it, but it still happened.
Lastly, constantly trying to distract from Wanda's crimes by pointing out that the other Avengers have also done bad things is whataboutism. It doesn't change the fact that she committed an act that could easily be classified as a crime against humanity.
Believe me, I wish none of this was true. I really do. But these are the unfortunate facts. There's not much we can do about them.
[Then again, considering the MCU has totally ignored the psychological ramifications of basically everything else that has happened since the first Avengers movie, making WV the outlier would be weird, so hopefully everyone will indeed be fine like you say, as unrealistic as that would be.]

Hellooooooo fans of Hard Truths from Soft Cats!...Hello?  Where is everyone?  ...A-ha! *Bends shrub aside to find five tumbleweeds inside*Ah, well, it has been a while, but hopefully this blog still has followers. Hey all!  We're reviving this blog for a limited short run, called "Hard Truths From AI Generated Cats."  They're still just as soft as before, but a little bit glitchy, if you know what I mean.
Why are we doing this?  Well, for clarity, my "name" is Ace (I'll probably put my real name up eventually), and I'm not the original creator of this page, but a friend.  Like a cicada (but much cuter!), this webcomic popped back into my life after eight years of dormancy, around the same time I was talking with a friend about image generators.  I asked HardTruths F. SoftCats for their blessing (yep, that's their real name, sorry to doxx you like that!), and he was supportive.  I think in the eight years since HTFSC ended, life has only gotten harder and truthier (and I mean that in the absolute Colbertian sense of the word); one could probably write an entire thesis on that subject in cat-form, but this run will serve a very specific purpose.
I am an AI researcher myself, and I work on projects that include generative machine learning methods.  At once, I am both incredibly excited and fearful of the potential of these algorithms.  As someone with no drawing capability myself, I feel suddenly empowered to be able to take on art projects I otherwise would not have.  But then, as a hobbyist writer, when I look at GPT, while I don't feel threatened now, I see a future where the technology becomes better and could make my hobby obsolete; for those where it's their livelihood, the worry is far more tangible.
Technology rarely rewinds, but it often can be made to work for, not against, the people. But this only happens if we not only say we need to have a discussion (which is where so many conversations actually end), but to actually have one.  That is a conversation that needs to happen in public forums with those who have the power to effect change, at the level of grassroot and corporate organizations and policymakers, the latter of whom are at least a decade late to the party.  The box has been opened, but whether it's Pandora's Box or a treasure chest is still up to society.
I'll post a comic today and then and likely on a Monday/Thursday schedule after that until I run out, and maybe I’ll accompany it with some commentary.  I hope this is a pithy and cuddly conversation-starter; all I can bring you is the hard truth from probabilistically soft cats.

Depending on how Summer died, they might also show how she lived
You guys, the season finale could be pivotal for more than just Ruby.
IF it shows team STRQ at Beacon, growing up, even in flashbacks, then it may well, in fact, show five teens.
The knowledge that Oz was ridiculously young too might yet be the kick that Ruby and by extension the others need to let him heal.
Jaune is healing. HOPEFULLY Ruby is, too. Oz hasn't. Yet.
Ruby was fifteen when she entered Beacon, if they realise Oz was about that age when the Vale idiots made him head?
Canon may be about to get interesting...

Mom stress
Is real
It’s hard
Mom is expected to do what everyone wants and needs when they ask for it but when she asks it’s “in a min, hold on, after I do this or yeah I will “ and then it never happens unless she asks ask 3 more times.
Then when she gets upset that what she asked for wasn’t done, the blame is put on her “oh well you didn’t remind me or you never said that.”
She works all day and yet is still expected to keep the house clean and make sure food is fixed.
The dishes and laundry pile up but does anyone do anything about it?
No. Mom will get it
It’s exhausting and overwhelming
Yet everyone wonders why she yells and get on to everyone for not doing as they were asked
Today was a hard day

Does my family not realise, that I don't love them??
Like, ever since I was child, they told me, no one loves me.
They called me a freak, a weirdo and I'm unloved.
Tbh, I think it's projection. Because THAT family, doesn't love anyone. They stay together by lies and deceit. That's all they know.
I kinda feel bad for them, but don't at the same time.
They are always so angry at one another. It's sad. They can't make any real relationships and friendships. I've seen them ruining their own happiness because they are so angry.
I understand, they take out the anger on me. When they really should look inwards and WHY they are angry. I was just their punching bag. I was their scapegoat.
I fully know they never loved me. Well, I don't love them. I actually stopped loving them a very long time ago. I don't think they even realise that.
They rather just believe their own lies, than see what's right in front of them.
This is why I can't forgive them.
