Do you think that the moment Fox sun and moon realize that Hare y/n is relatively comfortable around them that they would do that weird call!

I was told it was a way foxs tell others that they have found their . . . Mate? The fox that would be with them forever.

Like with that vid, it would just have a confused bun between the fox paws.

That's for red foxes! This also just sounds like laughter, which I think would be an adorable way for Fox Sun and Fox Moon to express content around Hare Y/N. Y/N has no clue what the laughing is for, but everything seems well, so, they're happy to be between Sun and Moon.

It also works with the fact that Arctic foxes, when courting, engage in playful antics, like play-fighting and active chasing. Sun and Moon have to express themselves carefully because barreling after Hare Y/N is a good way to give them a heart attack, so, they must take it slow, slow, slow.

Moon playfully touches Y/N's ears and rubs the soft velvet fuzz until Y/N doesn't stiffen every time Moon reaches out, all the while he hums or sings softly. Sometimes, Y/N hums along. Sun, likewise, takes Y/N out to snowy meadows and softly bumps or nudges Y/N with his forehead until they stop shifting away from his touches and acknowledge him when he nuzzles against them.

Hare Y/N takes their strange behavior with confusion and uncertainty, but eventually, they recognize the fondness and affection behind the gestures

#Eventually #Hare Y/N will be comfortable enough for chasing and play-fighting #but that's a long way down the road in their courtship with the fox men #of fox maws

Is it normal to be worried about how good Ryker is?

Like I'm sitting here wondering if he is going to have enough drive and energy for agility. Like I had been mentally preparing for an off the walls puppy that needed work on relaxing and would need structured time in and out of a crate.

But y'all, he doesn't need to be crated/penned unless we are sleeping at night or leaving him alone in the apartment.

I mean look at him right now while I do some computer stuff

I mean how is this a 6, almost 7 month old intact male, who had no training until I got him 5 weeks ago??

Did I get a lazy or too mellow dog?

I'm half joking. It won't be the end of the world if he isn't flying at high speeds around an agility course. He also has potential for a lot of drive building. He has good food and toy drive already, probably medium for both. He will play tug anywhere with any distractions but is easy to get to drop it and wait until released. Then he will work for plain kibble in about 95% of situations, the other 5% is when he is scared or while trying to greet people or thinking he gets to greet dogs.

Comm - Hot Buns (Snowman TF/Ash TF)

Winter's warming up a little bit here this week, which makes it a good time to share a set of bad(?) end(?) transformations by my friend SomeToon! The first of these sees Chase trying to beat the heat as a snowman. Ultimately, a futile effort, as her frigid body melts into a simple puddle of water. Somebody get a sponge, or we might not see her again until next year! The second of these is designed in the style of certain game over sprites, as some sort of burst or fire trap knocks her right off her paws into a pile of ash. This time around she'll be needing a broom and dustpan.

Kitty being asked which animated girl she feels like most and is like "Umm...Alice I guess, walking through Wonderland." And Smartass quips she's more like the Ugly Duckling and when she gets mad at him he's like "Heeeey, he becomes a swan in the end don't he?"

Eddie Valiant won't say it to her face but the girl's definetly more of "a hard ass Mary Poppins."

Aw, Smartass, you're getting better at complimenting people! ^^

I agree with Eddie and Kitty though. She's both Alice wandering through the crazy world of Toontown, and she's also a tough but caring person like Mary Poppins ^^

#I like to implement themes and imagery a lot in my work and this is me putting the back wheels before the cart before the horse #But in those tag games I do sometimes I've always compared Riley to a coyote-- which I think fits #Coyotes are pack animals living in the desert w/ their social systems-- similar to nomad clans living in the desert w/ their social systems #And a coyote's perceived aggressiveness translates well to symbolize a character like my V who has a reputation for being aggressive #The idea of a pack animal separated from it's pack is what I was gunning for #But I never noticed that the dichotomy of coyotes and their stereotypical prey-- jackrabbits-- translates REALLY well to Johnny and V #Especially considering Johnny as a jackrabbit rather than a coyote (backwards I know but work with me for a sec)#Jackrabbits being a solitary animal that CAN live in a group but usually chooses not to #The idea of a hare looking similar to a rabbit but still being prey all the same #(idk why but my brain sticks with idea of Johnny standing out from the NC Vox Poppili but he's still just that at the end of the day-- prey #And running. Running at danger running for safety. The thought of Johnny always always always running #A jackrabbit can't move slowly they're often symbols of moving fast-- Johnny never slows down; he's always on the run from something #With the Coyote chasing after it for survival #In Dine mythology the coyote and the jackrabbit are both trickster figures and idk that sticks in my mind #Coyote wants to smoke Rabbit out of it's hole but when it lights the fires Rabbit kicks the embers back into his face #Cunning beaten with cunning in a sense like two sides of the same coin. Idk it just tickles me #The idea of two people both being so opposed but still having that emotional connection between them #Anyway thought blurb over #Honestly I'd've made this into an actual post but my thoughts aren't necessarily in the best order for it

Was Oz regretting his choice of a guardian already? Yes, yes he was. He didn't think he would immediately revert into the form of a rabbit, or rather a hare, and one that was much smaller than the gigantic chain he once was. At least he could still swing his scythe around.

Which is exactly what he was doing, while desperately chasing after a normal hare. The irony of the situation isn't lost on him-- but food is food, and they're running low on food stores back at the mansion.

"Hold still already! I'm trying to make this as painless as possible for the both of us, you stupid hare!"

It certainly made for a rather comedic sight. And, as focused on his target as he is, he's unlikely to notice anyone else swooping in...

#today was kind of a good day and kind of a bad day #i don't want to complain about loneliness or being alone #actually im not i have quite a lot of frenemies #and i have my telepathy buddies the one or two of them #and i have my eunoch advisors #and the patriarchs...#tho i really can't stomach those anymore #no more patriarchs just friendly friars #and feminized unproblematic dandies #i feel awful guilt #and terrible lack of motivation #it is truly the dog days #but this means September is ahead a d turning the bend entering the most mystical faltime season #i am not even totally sure if i will survive until then #too many things to remember and elements ro pull together i am really simply paralyzed #and crying is such a relief because then at least something is moving #water is rolling and flowing #also #i realized today i was chasing two or more hares and decided to give up all but one #that was a huge relief #i simply dont need everything that i want #if i can hardly take care of whaf i already have

Of course she wasn't foolish enough to believe her disappearing from her chambers would go unnoticed forever, but after spending days naught but resting, surrounded mainly by strangers in a room that, though not uncomfortable or lacking amenities, reminder he just a little too much of her prison in the Iron Kingdom, not knowing what would happen to her once her powers were suitably recoverd, Jill simply couldn't stand it anymore. She had to get out. Go anywhere but there.

She just━ hadn't expected him to be the one to come find her. Nor for his first words to be ones of concern rather than scorn, even if she is yet unable to tell whether they are genuine.

Jill turns, her grey eyes wary and chest tight with apprehension. The palms of her hands press against the wall at her back, the cool stone offering only little solace but enough support she can hold herself up. Her heart sits uncomfortably high in her throat.

The King of Waloed looks every bit as stern and intimidating as the tales would have it, his stare an unflinching thing she feels straight down to the very marrow of her bones. More than that, she can practically feel the raw power he excudes without so much as making a move, like he owns it so effortlessly. The High Priest Imraenn at the very least had been wary if not downright scared of her Eikonic powers, unwilling to turn his hand on her and choosing instead to threaten suffering unto innocents to keep her in check and subdued to his zealotry. This man, however, would have no such qualms if he wished to.

Warden of Darkness, dominant of Odin, the ruler of his own Kingdom after subjugating the old one nigh single-handedly. Even as Shiva she knows she'd stand no chance against Barnabas Tharmr.

And yet for all the tales, he had saved her, somehow. Had slaughtered the Ironblood without so much as blinking, but been downright gentle with her when she'd tried to defend herself one last time in a fit of desperation. She still thinks she can feel the strength of his hold as he'd caught her 'pon passing out in exhaustion. And up until now, he's not made any demands, any threats. Indeed, since being brought here to be nursed back to health, it is the first time she has seen him anew.

She knows not what he plans for her. Whether this will be just another prison like the Iron Kingdom. But Jill finds she is beyond caring somehow. After so many years being used as a tool, a weapon, an act of destruction, anything seems better than that. Even facing off against Odin.

Her chin tips up in a show of mild defiance, eyes flashing coldly, even as her throat bobs around a thick swallow. " I have rested enough, " And then, because she does not wish to look entirely too ungrateful, she continues, " It━ it is too dark, there. I merely wished to see the sky. "
