You come to staring up at a ceiling groggily and notice it isn't yours and Tom's apartment. You realize you barely have any memory of the events that transpired before ending up in this mystery room.

Looking around, you find the courage to get up and take the glass of water off the nightstand sitting on top of a note that says J on it in a big cursive letter.

You read silently and laugh. Of course he would want to sit you down to dinner and get to know you because why not right? He's the Joker. Why not have amusement in your presence before killing you right?

You shake your head as to shake those thoughts away. Yes, the Joker. You had started putting some pieces together as you remember walking off with him dazedly. You must be in his house.

Traipsing along clumsily you make it to a door and open it gingerly as not to make too much sound. Tom didn't like sound. It was a habit that stuck with you; being as quiet as possible not to disturb the man. You hoped he didn't miss you because you knew it would be bad. Right now though you were worried about the Joker who wanted you for dinner; possibly quite literally.

Making it into the dining room you notice Harley and Joker immediately who beam at your arrival. You shyly smile and take a seat at the end of the table waiting for one of them to talk. When they don't you start softly speaking. "I'm y/n." You say gently.

Joker chuckles. "I know. You said so before. Don't you remember working with me at all?" You shake your head. Your memory was rusty. You had a lot of memory problems so you had to jog your mind sometimes to get back from past to present.

He watches you intrigued. "You know you were ah almost a different person back there when you know old Tommy boy got a lesson." He waits for your reply and you see a flash of a memory as a bat hits Tom. You flinch slightly and Joker raises his brows. "How about a drink on me?" He offer a bottle of vodka and a glass, pointing to some orange juice. "A chaser?"

You eye the substances and without thinking take the bottle from him and pour a heaping helping of the alcohol along with some orange juice. He grins happily, pleased with your decision. "All right then that wasn't ah easy to convince you to do. Now, tell me more about your ah memories of me."

You take a giant swallow of alcohol and look up at Joker who's waiting. "I remember talking to a man on the phone. I never got to meet him though. I helped people. I remember that." You trail off. Harley looks at you sadly. "Ya don't remember anything else?" You shake your head. "Not much, sorry. I have memory loss." She looks down. "Oh."

It seemed as if Harley felt an emotion that wasn't mania and it peaked your interest. You wanted to comfort her but didn't know what would happen if you did so instead you said. "I'm used to it. All part of who I am, I guess."

Joker replies. "Right. All who you are." And with that you drink in silence while he plans with Harley his next big adventure in Gotham.

"What do you think Alfred?"

"I think having a lemon tree could really benefit the garden and our groceries," Alfred tells you.

"Maybe we can have an apple tree too?" You said.

"Sounds delightful. And Master Bruce agreed to your garden?"

"Yup. Said we can have it on the side in the backyard. And we can grow whatever we want," you smiled.

"We should start off small then," Alfred said.

"Right. So then a lemon tree, an apple tree, and carrots?" You asked.

"Sounds good to me," Alfred smiled.

You had been growing more bored around your home now that most of your kids were adults and had moved out of the mansion. So after seeing a good amount of gardening TikToks, you wanted to start your own little garden. But there was one slight problem, you didn't know how to garden.

So there was one person you could think of who could help you start off. You didn't want to bother Alfred more than what he has to deal with so you used your husband's technology to find a certain someone.

The apartment complex looked a little run down but yet again, you knew this was where they would be laying low. You knocked on the front door, only to see Harley Quinn opening it up.

"Mrs. Wayne? Whatcha doin here?" Harley asked you.

"Hiya, Harley. I'm looking for Ivy. Is she around?" You asked.

"Yeah. What's going on?" Harley asked.

"Harley. Who is it?" You heard Ivy ask.

"It's Y/n Wayne! Batman's wife!" Harley said excitedly.

"Hi, Ivy. I came here to ask for a favor," you tell her.

"Uh sure. What's up?" Ivy asked.

"I am currently planting a garden at my home but the problem is, I don't know how to garden. I was wondering if you can help me out," you asked her.

"Don't you have a butler who also knows how to garden?" Ivy asked.

"Yes but I don't want to bother him more than my family already has. And besides, I need more females around the house," you mentioned.

"What are you trying to grow?" Harley asked.

"I would like to start off with a lemon tree, an orange tree, and an apple tree. But I know those take a couple years to grow but I would like to begin growing carrots, tomatoes, and green beans as well," you tell her.

"Those are good to start off with," Ivy mentioned.

"Thanks. So will you come by my house with me and help me get started? I have the tools and everything to start off," you asked her.

"Yeah. My schedule is clear for today," Ivy shrugged.

"Thank you! Harley! You can come over too," you invited.

"Oh sweet!"

Whenever it was a light night, meaning that there was barely crime for once in Gotham, the whole family would get together for dinner. However, they were surprised to see two new comers joining you all in dinner.

"I expect you all to behave yourselves for the night. Ivy and Harley are my guests as they helped me with my garden today," you tell your family.

"Yes mom."

"And no hero or villain talk in the table. I would like a dinner where we can just eat like normal people for once," you say as you prepped the table.

During dinner, everyone ate peacefully but kept a close eye on Harley and Ivy. It was mainly you talking about the garden and your plans for it.

"What are you planning on growing in the garden ummi?" Damien asked you.

"I would like a lemon, orange, and an apple tree but I know those take a while to grow. But I'm also planning on growing some carrots, green beans, and tomatoes to start off," you say excitedly.

"Just make sure to follow the instructions I gave you," Ivy said.

"Of course. And I'll call you in case anything happens," you smiled at her.

The next few weeks, you were proud of your work. The trees were starting to form slowly but surely. You kept notes to check your progress as well as making sure everything was going smoothly. So it wasn't a surprise for the batfamily to see Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy come to their house every week to help check on your garden.

"They're growing good," Ivy tells you,

"Thank you!"

"If you want, I can help you speed up the process for the trees."

"I know I should wait but I do want to try baking an apple pie and make my own orange juice."

"As long as you keep maintaining it you should be fine."

"Mmm. Okay. Let's do it!"

Cassandra and Stephanie quickly rushed over to Harley's and Ivy's place with the bag from their mom. It had been a couple weeks since Ivy and Harley last visited you and your garden. Cassandra knocked on the door, waiting for one of them to answer.

"What do you kids want?" Ivy asked as she opened the door.

"wanted us to drop this off to you," Stephanie said as she handed her the bag. Ivy looked into it before smiling. A fresh apple pie along with a pitcher of orange juice and lemonade were placed in the bag.

"Tell her we said thank you."

"We will!"

"Let her know that if she wants to start something new, have her call me," Ivy tells the girls.

"We will!"

the batfam are awfully fixated on fixing reader a lot. they want you to stop your kleptomaniac ways. for you not to hurt people for the sake of your ideals.

i feel like it’s only with other villains where reader can truly be themselves and not be judged

which would make for some interesting dynamic where yes, they could be given a chance at redemption and be with the people they love.

but on the other hand, there are also these people who don’t care if you’re the worst of the worst as long as you’re with them. they’ll accept you for who you are and more.

like whenever you propose taking down someone(admittedly corrupt/evil) through violent means, the boys would most likely be like “hot but no.”

but your villain buddies would be like “that’s so hot, yes!!”

they’re just unequivocally devoted and supportive of what you and who you are that they’d be literally disappointed if you act in a way that isn’t you (but still love you anyhow)

like if reader is usually very prideful and greedy for example

maybe you worked with a friend for a heist and they ask to keep all of the money cause they either need it or will be using it for future projects together

but naur reader is like “uh no.”

but then villain friend continues to insist.

and reader goes “i’m keeping half and nothing less. and by nothing less that means stealing all of your share if you refuse.”

and villain friend, instead of being mad is just like, “as expected my dear i knew you wouldn’t go down so easily.”

and it would make for one big bloody fight for when the batfam starts influencing you with their icky ‘justice’ driven acts.

“Roy was the engineer, and anything related to engineering, in any specialism, would have to pass through his hands. This included assembling the plane’s radio, just like he’d fixed the small battery-operated Spika radio and made it work.

“Adolfo sat down beside him. He explained to Roy that it was not a matter of expertise in electronics but one of ignorance, and pointed out that Roy was the least ignorant of everybody in that department. Roy argued that he had never seen an airplane radio in his life, not even in a book. Adolfo put his hand over Roy’s. ‘I know that, Roy. We all know that. I only wanted to tell you that you were the best one at handling the wires and the terminals, that’s all. But right now that’s a lot, it makes a huge difference … you are the engineer.’

“Roy, almost breathless, added something that his older friend already knew: ‘I am barely in my first year in Engineering, I’m only twenty years old, and the only time I’ve ever been remotely close to anything like this was when I helped instal a damn audio system for my cousins.’

“‘And you fixed the Spika radio,’ Adolfo responded, as if it were a thermonuclear station and not a basic portable radio the size of a pack of cigarettes. Before Adolfo even said the next sentence he knew clearly that it was as painful for him to say as it was for his friend to hear it. ‘Roy, the group needs your abilities. All we’re asking is that you try.’ ”

(all the while missing his best friends #like what a way to learn on the job :/
