Because he was an abused kid. He should probably have some good ole therapy, and time to heal after you know, being abandoned by his mom to a violent and abusive father, being taken away from everything and everyone he knew, kidnapped and attacked by a monster, made to do things he didn’t want to do, tortured by his little sister when pleading, mind controlled, and then sacrificing himself to save people who actually hated him. I don’t think that is an intrinsically bad person.

Hurt people hurt people. You cannot view a character from 1985 with the lens of someone in 2024.

Many older queer folks also clock him. As an elderish queer, I see a FUCK TON of my internalized homophobia and posturing in Billy. As an abused kid, I was an asshole at 17, too. I said things I would regret now over a decade later.

Also he’s a fucking fictional character, my dude. Be soooo for real right now. This is the hill you stand on? Not all the pedos and shit on this site?

The concept of Big Brother Billy is over looked. IMO i think in that space of time where he tries to be GOOD but needs to practice and work on his anger he'd be a fucking menace.

I NEED TO SEE:

Billy throwing a guy into traffic because he was passing around a polaroid of a naked girl Max's age

Bartender Billy smashing roofied drinks into the skulls of creeps eventually getting demoted to bouncer bc they cant deal with the chaos

Helping joyce carry her groceries to her car and then aggresively bangs on a car that almost runs them over
