I gave myself like two hours (it took three, lets be honest) so I tried a much more simple style. Not sure I pulled it off- I’m not very happy with this. Oh well. Practice is practice and I want to post even imperfect practice.

I’ve played around with so many different designs for Harry, Ron and Hermione over the years and it’s hard for me to be satisfied with any of them but what do you think? c: I tried to loosen up a little with the colours and linework in this piece but it turns out I’m not so good with loosening up… it was a struggle ha ha.

It was around this time last year that I heard about all of the mean-spirited things J.K. Rowling was saying. I remember I became so depressed because she was always someone that I has looked up to growing up and she was one of the people that inspired me to write my own books. Ironically, it was her own characters that helped give me the moral foundation to disagree with her now.

I’ll always love Harry Potter and I hope that one day she will be able to overcome her biases. Times are tough and honestly, I’ve seen so many things in the past few years that have made me lose hope in humanity, but it’s more important than ever that we all do our best to do what is good and right.
