My new corner at our home office. I brought a lot of things from UK (loving this 9 3/4 backpack from Harry Potter).

I've been work so much this past weeks, tired and sad with my company client (they are awful and all Devs with whom I work are exhausted and sad... Almost all of us are trying to find another job).

I am reviewing my programming studies... Actually, I am reviewing my career choices and life choices, as I am organizing myself in order to do another graduation 👀

Things and organizing my new plans I'm this new corner, is very good! I am praying everyday to thrive through this life challenges. And praying for my colleagues, they deserve to be happy 🥺

Hogwarts Legacy is a game I'd have killed for as a kid and I can't help but be upset that I'm not allowed to buy it.

Who's stopping you?

Serious question, are you like a kid being banned by your parents? If not then why does a fully grown adult care so much about what strangers online might think of their choices?

If you're feeling guilt it should be because you care enough about the harm you could do from supporting the game, which is a choice you have to make of your own free will. You shouldn't base it on an external sense of shame derived from peer pressure.

You either feel strongly enough that you want to boycott on your own merit or you don't.

And I do not care which of those applies to you.

I'm not stopping you, I have stated multiple times that everyone should draw their own line in the sand when it comes to problematic content and what they are willing to pay for.

And honestly? I don't WANT to know your reasons, it's none of my business why you do or don't buy a product.

I know I seem kind of terse but I've got a few other asks in my box that are seemingly asking for some kind of permission or reassurance that they aren't horrible people if they buy a game and I am getting a bit spooked by it.

If you can't decide for yourself whether or not an action is going to cross your ethical threshold you have bigger problems than a game. I know there's a lot of moral outrage about it right now and a lot of it is pretty valid but you're as allowed to decide this is not where you draw your line as they are to be upset.

further more, why are you advertising that you're going to play this game if you know you can't handle being criticized for it? What's stopping you from just buying the game and keeping it to yourself? If you do want to talk about it then do that and just block anyone who harasses you about it.

This doesn't have to be some complex moral quandary unless you let it.

either you're uncomfortable with this game or you aren't and you have the power to block people you disagree with.

Move forward anon and curate your own experiences. Stop seeking approval from random folks online and make your own decisions based on what you actually want to do, it'll be better for your mental health.

Luna ran her fingers through Harry's hair for the hundreth time that evening, trying her best to ignore the way he quivered from the aftermath of one too many crucios.

"I'm sorry," she told him gently, "I never wanted you to go to war for me."

She pursed her lips and moved one hand down to trace his jaw as he laid spread out across her lap. "I just wanted us to be safe, happy."

Harry peeked open his eyes to stare up at her, "I now. Don't worry about it, it'll all be over soon."

Tears slipped down her cheeks, "What have you done to yourself?"

Harry shook his head, disrupting the repetitive motions of her fingers, "Nothing I couldn't handle, don't worry about it. It'll all be okay soon."

He closed his eyes again, "I love you, and I'm sorry for that."

She just smiled her saddest smile, "I know."
