Here's my Haru x Albert headcanons and cute thoughts

Even though Albert just showed up in episode 9 of Free! Dive to the Future, I really like him!! And ship him with Haru.

Ok here goes...

-Albert and Haru begin dating, and Albert feeling honored when Haru invites him over for the first time.

-Haru is pleasantly surprised when Albert offers tips and advice to help improve his freestyle.

-While getting to know each other, despite the language barrier, it doesn't stop them from sharing meaning through a single glance.

-Haru likes taking Albert to different restaurants in search of the best mackerel. He can't stop his cheeks from flaring a bright red, when Albert says that nothing compares to Haru's cooking.

-Haru and Albert enjoy feeding each other.

-Albert enjoys holding Haru, almost as much as he enjoys lying in Haru's arms.

-Albert and Haru are beautiful mermen.

-During warm days, Haru and Albert relax in an inflatable pool together. It's a bit cramped, but they don't mind.

-When playing video games together, both Albert and Haru are competative in a healthy way. Neither one is a sore loser, and they cheer each other up after a loss. (Sometimes Haru gets distracted by Albert's long fingers and ends up losing a round).

-Swimsuit shopping together is fun. Albert appreciates Haru's finese for detail.

-Both of them have such strong goals of being the best swimmer they can be. As a couple, it only strengthens their bond.

-Before Haru and Albert started dating, Haru would relax in his tub and that was it. Now though, Haru likes bathing with Albert. Haru has become used to the different scented candles that his boyfriend likes. Each time there is a new scent. When Haru points it out, Albert's eyes shine and he launches into why he chose the candle.

-Albert is so excited to hug Haru for the first time, that he literally lifts him off the ground.

I was listening to Don't matter anymore.mp3 and images appeared kinda reversed in my head 😭

We had the inner Haru screaming his true feelings during that scene, but it's heartbreaking to imagine the inner Rin desperately try to reach and fail to grasp Haru who's basically rejecting him as if in an amplified replay of S2Ep9. "I've told you already that I'm not like you." The way the future shattered and crumbled for Rin at that moment, the beautiful future together with Haru he'd been talking about, planning, aiming for. Struggling desperately for words, Rin is only met by Harubert's blank stare.

"I thought you would understand me now," the way Rin gives up, whispering those words and turning to leave has left my heart in pieces on the ground, alongside the real Haru's.

someone on twitter said that Rin said "of course I care, idiot", but what you posted seems more right to me, considering what he said, just wanted to clarify? sorry for constantly torturing you about the details.

Ah, yes, I believe it's one of the many spanish subs mistakes, ppl talked about. First time it started circling around I even went to clarify that too, in case we misheard with the bad sound, but then after the clarification, I also was like "but, well, right, it's Rin. I can't imagine him calling Haru stupid", like I know they meant affectionally, but it just doesn't make any sense in this situation, bc Rin doesn't think that anything of what Haru said is untrue, it was shown in the scene, he was upset bc he agreed, I mean, we're stanning here low self-esteem self-blamers, who never ever sat after some fight being like "omg what an idiot he is" haha. Haru just literally had to dissociate to gain the ability to "selfishly" shame him about leaving him and even then he was at the same time agressively yelling at himself to shut the fuck up lmao.

And again its not already the same situation, but it's still Rin's "why I said what I said". In s1 he was also spitting venom, just because he thought of himself as a loser, whose feelings Haru doesn't reciprocate:

It was just funny, bc this time he at first said "I was really happy to swim in a relay with you". Like this time he already couldn't play this card, bc they both know they adore swimming with each other, so he also went into a relationship territory haha.

Literally all that he stupidly "deciphered" from Haru's speech is that he's unreliable, weak and not good enough trash, that he can't have a future with if he keeps being like that, instead of Haru's screaming of "I die each time you leave, pls don't do this anymore", and as usual not getting anything rolled from there and went like "I got it, I personally agree. thank you, swimming with you was great, but I won't bother you anymore" but bitterness overweighted and he said like "do whatever. your life doesn't concern me anymore." Haha like they might swim in a relay together in the future I guess, but its without feelings now lmao. No afercare haha. It just reminds me the plots like you know when they're friends with benefits and then they catch feelings and make love instead just banging, but then some fight happens and they're like "fine, you want no feelings then, FINE", we're going back to "bang and leave" lmao. Broke up before started dating, I call it xD.

But yeah, my point is its his usual reaction. This time he did a bit better I guess, but he still couldn't help but to spill some absolute idiocity lol

But yeah, spanish subs in some places are off, like with Haru's talk with Riyuji and Harubert talking to Rin in one place and some other stuff ppl say, so you have to recheck, if you watch with these for sure.

Ah, you mean that theory from before the 1st part aired about Makoto being hit by some truck. And now its so Haru would come back to a normal state? haha

I mean, no lol I don't see them killing someone in Free and I also don't see them injuring anyone either. I just think the theme of the first movie and from what they're saying in the interviews is way far from from all of this. And no matter what state Haru is in, he'd never choose to like focus on competition if someone would for example told him that Rei got in a car crush and has several minutes to live lmao. Harubert or not Harubert, 1st its ridiculous to think about Haru, 2nd it's way too telenovellish lol Idk it makes me laugh just thinking about such plot twist.

And it's just the theme is different. It's about can he or can he not swim without his love for Rin heart and what's "his way of swimming" and what role his gift to everyone else with his love for swimming brought into other's peoples lives, so like... it's a bit not there in my opinion.

Also like injuring someone in the last 1,5 hours movie, unless its someone no one cares about, would be weird in my opinion. They said its a mega super happy ending so if someone's in the hospital it kinda ruins the finale, not to mention that there's no time for this lol

I really think it's just gonna be a huge party of ppl helping rinharu get back on track, remembering what these two mean for each other and everyone else. It's seen from the teaser and after movie preview. Like the 1st part I think is the angst part clearly, I mean there's just tons of angst in this movie, 2nd part is gonna be like the 2nd part of the season, resolve and happy ending, I really don't see them putting sth like that there. But thats only my opinion, I mean, I guess, anything can happen, I'm not gonna say for sure.

samee i just neeeddd themm, give them to me right now haha xD i'm going to watch it on the 28th so i dont wanna die in the cinema so im gathering all i can lol I also feel for both of them and kinda understand where they come from because abandonment issues is totally relatable for me, also, i hope is not only Rin the one "being dropped" out of harus life because as far as Im consern Ikuya even helped Rin to make that decision so I'm really curious about how they are gonna built that in part2

Awww you lucky bitch haha. I think they're probably gonna build it as usual like s1... everyone suffers, bc of rinharu angst and now they're gonna help them get back together, too bad Rei probably won't be able to help haha I'm guessing Ikuya will have to replace him now. xD According to many, he was watching them really closely during their australian trip and constantly asked how they feel about each other, so I doubt it was all for nothing :)

T_T I totally don't want it no more, but Haru will for sure isolate himself from them all. I just hope theories about them doing a time skip bc of the competitions timeline isn't true, bc I just do not want to watch some Harubert shananigans montage, I'd rather they handled it this spring pls. And I just really want more time for happy times at the end, but I have a feeling that they might just put off the reunions until the very end. Fingers crossed for it to be a satisfying finale :)
