I always thought there was this subtle narrative of Bakugo being unable to save Izuku

-USJ attack. Saved Izuku from Kurogiri, Izuku still almost got killed by Shigaraki, (was saved by the teachers)

-Kamino Arc. Told Izuku to not come, Izuku who was still injured, went with the rescue squad anyways (they got away thanks to the pro-heroes)

-War Arc. Saved Izuku from getting impaled, and told him to not fight alone. By the time he woke up he was told Izuku was in a coma, and was unable to do anything to stop him from leaving UA.

There's probably some other examples I missed :v

This theory just increased my fears, thank you.

It feels like a lot of people will have some role to play in Izuku's rescue.

A lot of people have to return the favor of what he did for them.

I think that in the case of Nora getting a redemption, she and Yato could be casual friends. But they would avoid hanging out with only each other (unless is necessary) so they don't fall into unhealthy behaviour. Even if they talked about everything, they would probably need to keep certain distance. This version of their relationship would be more honest and healthy though, I think the two of them would be happy (even if a little regretfull of the past) with this new chapter of their lifes.

Oh yes, I do think it’s possible for them to form a more positive and healthy relationship in the future -- that’s pretty clear they still care about each other even despite everything. My point though is that doing so would take a big amount of work from both sides as well as a lot of time, because even with their abusive parent aside there is also a lot of genuine resentment and hate between them that would be hard to untangle. And I agree that even with them reaching that step, keeping some distance and instead create bonds with others would be the best, at least for a while (which is why I appreciate the manga making Nora develop a more positive relationship with Yukine and Hiyori on her own without Yato being around).

However before all of that they’d have to actively want to do the work to forgive each other and salvage their relationship, and that’s still a bit early for that given even though she’s starting to question things, Nora is still on Father’s side for now. I do believe Adachitoka appears to take the direction of having her leaving Father given her character’s evolution from the last few chapters, but either way it seems a heartfelt confrontation between her and Yato will be inevitable.

I still cannot say exactly what they intend to do with her in the end, but Noragami so far has very much been focused on giving abuse victims the opportunity to heal and change for the better (which is even one of the story’s central themes, I’d argue), so even with how grim the last arc has been I would be surprised if Nora and her relationship with Yato doesn’t get some sort of positive or at least hopeful ending as well honestly.

Wakaseo is the slowest of slow burns in the main pairings and I love it, it's a mix of hilarious, endaring, frustating and rewarding all at the same time and it's not because some tragic backstory or something, they are just straigh up dumb but they are trying their best to communicate and honestly that's a lot given how weird they express their love so THEY DESERVE TO BE HAPPY.

AGREED. Like we all thought the slowburn would be Chiyo and Nozaki bc that's the hook of the series but HOOO WE WERE NOT PREPARED FOR WAKASEO

Does Bakugo ever ponders about the fact that Izuku actually died for a moment (regardless of not being by jumping off the roof) and how morbid is the fact that he was, in a way, right. (Izuku did get a quirk in his next life after all) in the poltergeist au

yes! honestly bakugou is very....troubled by izuku’s death in a lot of ways. thinking about how casually cruel he’d been to izuku in the past (particularly the “swan dive” comment) and how close he came to losing deku really haunts him :(. he’s a lot more introspective in this au as a result (and undergoes a lot of character development rly quickly!)
