She knew sooner or later, Vlad would show up and try to enter her home again. Thankfully, Dakota had come through for her and found a protection spell that wouldn't allow entrance to the Count or any other vampire that isn't herself, her brother or her offspring. The tie to it all? Blood. Lilith almost laughed when Dakota told her the details over the phone last week. Blood, quite fitting. The blood she shares with her brother and her offspring. She had to give a little of her own to Dakota for the spell, along with a nice chunk of change, but it's worth it. Lilith felt like her hand was forced into telling Jackson about her tryst with Vladislaus, even though she knows she needed to tell him.

Jackson, he hadn't said much to her after she told him the truth. Not that she blames him, at least he was smart enough to stay and not foolishly venture off on his own.

"Go home, Count Straud." Lilith says coldly.

Someone had actually surprised him after all these years. Lilith had found someone - he suspects Dakota Laws - to conjure a protection spell to block him from entering the grounds of the Vatore estate. The little minx had actually pulled it off, Vlad realizes as he glowers at her from the street. He figures she's told Jackson about them holding congress together, especially given how she's staring at him with a look that could kill - if he weren't already technically dead. He had wanted to stop in on her and see if he could entice her into going for a moonlit stroll with him, something out of his character, yet for some reason he wanted to with her.

"Now who is the Codardo?" Vladislaus questions her, using her own word against her from the night they spent together. He shakes his head and does what he does best - vanish into a black mist.

So much else has been going on that I just realized the new Haunted Mansion movie comes out in ten days.

I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, I’ve never been to a Disney park, but that doesn’t negate the fact I’m super excited to see if the new one will be an improvement over the Eddie Murphy one in regards to how it treats its connection to the ride. I have a soft spot for it, but I can see why die-hard fans of the ride wouldn’t care for it.

WAIT BIG BRAIN MOMENT

Well, really more of a fic idea. We haven't seen Wrinkly in a game since Jungle Climber/Barrel Blast, right (tho to be fair that's only like two games)? Theoretically, she could still be ghostin' around. But... what if she's... in the Haunted Mansion.

It's admittedly a bit farfetched, and would require some in-universe fuckery that pretty much amounts to limbo's wires somehow getting crossed, but I could make it work. The "story" of the mansion is that it's a retirement home for ghosts, so it wouldn't be too out of the realm of possibility.
