Wings in the Dark Chapter 30: Stability (Teaser)
Levi found the work going by much faster, more comfortably, with her there…and not just because she was doing a small portion of it for him. The pages went by faster, the work didn't feel so tiring, and suddenly there were only a few stray papers in the piles she'd sorted for him left to do. Y/N had wandered over to the couch once she'd done what she could, laying down with a soft whoosh of air that barely resembled a sigh. She didn't speak while Levi continued to work, the candlelight growing smaller and the shadows longer until Levi decided enough was enough. What remained were pages he could do in the morning, there were other things he could be doing right now–and wanted to do.
Levi carefully removed his cravat, fingers brushing against the bandage he'd forgotten was hidden beneath. It definitely stopped bleeding by now, he could probably take the damned thing off.
It was a slight detour, but he came back minus a jacket, cravat, and bandage, the small bite wound properly cleaned up and hardly noticeable, and Y/N was still stretched out on the couch, having not made a sound or so much as twitched.
…Dammit, she's asleep, isn't she?
Levi didn't even have to come all the way around the couch to confirm it, he could peer over the edge and see that she was passed out asleep, lips parted, head turned into the cushions and pillowed under one arm, breathing slow and deep.
So much for spending a bit of one on one time together before getting some sleep. He’d been hoping to have a bit of time to set aside business and the serious stuff and simply reassure himself that she was all right and with him, but if this was the most he would get…
His sigh was admittedly a disappointed one, even as he leaned against the edge of the couch with folded arms and watched her for a few moments. How comfortable did she have to be around him to fall asleep on the not-that-comfortable couch that quickly, and with so little fuss?
She’d come a long way to get where she was now. To go from scared barely adult just turned vampire driven underground, to now a cornerstone member of the Scouts (even if it was behind closed doors, only), improving the safety of the formations so they didn’t lose as many people, making plans that actually sounded plausible with Hange to help them capture and learn more about titans, she had friends, she had him–whatever they were, Levi still didn’t know what to label it. She’d come here to find a way to make her abilities as a vampire helpful to other people, to make the lives she’d had to take in order to survive and stay strong enough to survive worth something, and so far, it seemed she was in step with that goal.
And he wasn’t going to let anyone threaten to destroy that progress, not when she’d crawled her way here over the past few decades and was just starting to get a taste of freedom and happiness again, despite the insanity of all the ways the world seemed to be going to shit right now.
Gentle Reminder (and notice to those of you who weren't around to see the update): I'm giving you teasers for the next chapters when I FINISH the next chapters since its been so long and I don't want to leave you all high and dry while I continue to write, but updates are still a little while off, since I'm aiming to get on a schedule and want to build up 3 or 4 chapters before I start posting again to give me some writing breathing room. BUT--One teaser and chapter down.

@hauntedhousecat - Milo the Cat asked - If you would like to! Would you do a thing with Zack Fair and female reader where they both go to a haunted house? Female reader maybe isn't too sure about it?
Haunted House
“I don’t want to go inside!” You squeaked looking up at the tall, dark building.
Perfect horror house material. Zack laughed. The ShinRa Mansion had stood alone and empty, supposedly, for years. Zack had been dying to explore it. Now he had a chance. Too bad for you that he’d decided to bring you with him. You did not want to go inside that building. You wanted nothing to do with ANYWHERE that was supposedly haunted.
“Why not!?” Zack asked a wide grin on his face.
“Because! I heard it was Haunted,” you replied with a glare.
Zack just laughed. His laugh was full of joy. It made you twitch a smile. Only a twitch.
“Ghost aren’t real Y/N. Come on. Billions of people in this world, people dying of all sorts of reasons. We’d be bumping into them all the time,” he said with that stupid smile.
“Well… they only hang around in places filled with their memories,” you said.
“Oh, right and I assume its always negative places,” He said stepping closer to the door.
“Ummm… They’ve been caught on tape you know,” You said stuttering.
“No, they haven’t.”
There was no point arguing with Zack. After all he was a sceptic. You however weren’t so convinced. Zack elbowed you and walked towards the entrance. You groaned and followed a few paces behind.
Zack forced the front door open and crept inside. The place was filled with dust and smelt mouldy. Rats scattered along with bugs as Zack took a few strides forward. He was beaming. You shuddered, the place gave you the creeps and you were thankful it wasn’t totally dark. Zack took a deep breath and began looking around.
“Wow… this place is just amazing. Its like people just upped and left,” He called to you opening a few cupboards.
You heard something howl and you froze. Every hair on your neck standing on end. Zack frowned and turned to look at you. He laughed, “It’s the wind!” He said laughing again, “Just a slightly open window is all.”
Another howl and he turned to face it determined to find the source.

Sometime later after he’d looked at every window in every room he paced back and fourth near a rather odd-looking brick wall on the top floor. Another howl made him jump.
“S-Sounds like it’s coming from that wall…” You said, fear undisguised in your voice.
Zack frowned and pressed his hands against the wall. It moved. He shoved it to one side and it shifted open. He looked down a long dark staircase and grinned at you before going in.
“No Wait!” You hissed before following him.
He just marched on down like nothing could touch him whilst you creeped behind. Once you reached ground floor he went off on his own, leaving you to creep in the dark.
There was a whimpering cry that caught your attention and against your better judgement you went to look for the source of the crying. What you found almost made you shit yourself.
“C-Coffins…” You squeaked in an unusually high-pitched voice.
The muffled whimpering was coming from one. Why were you walking towards it? Why were you opening the lid?!
Zack heard you screaming and frowned as you ran full speed passed him.
“Y/N?”
He looked the way you came and saw the un-naturally pale hand and red eyes of … Someone. Zack screamed, a high-pitched scream.
Vincent shook his head and trudged back over to his unorthodox bed.

If you're shorter and smaller than Levi, his clothes would be loose and slightly baggy on you. The man loves seeing how his shirt goes past your thighs and covers you nicely, making you look even smaller, cute even, giving him the soft illusion of wanting and needing to hug you close and protect you. He loves seeing you roll up the sleeves in annoyance because they're too long for you, yet you refuse to change out of it because it's so comfortable, and it smells just like Levi.
If you're of the same height and size as Levi, his clothes would be fitting on your frame. Depending on what kind of shirt you're wearing, it either fits you nicely, or it's long enough yet it barely covers your ass, leaving your lovely thighs on display as well. Levi sometimes jokes saying that you look nicer in his clothes than he does, and he loves seeing you walk around the house in them. Levi finds his shirts mysteriously disappearing sometimes, and chuckles when he finds them in your laundry basket instead of his.
If you're taller and bigger than Levi, his clothes might be a little snug on your body, but he goes nuts seeing how fitting it looks on you as well. His t-shirts would end off at your waist, exposing all of your lower half, your ass and thighs out for show. Levi loves smacking your bare ass whenever you walk by, leaving you in a flustered mess no matter how long you two had been together. He loves commenting on how much he loves the underwear you're wearing too.

Levi: Years of dating a drama queen had taught me invaluable tactics. Like the whole deal of "let's go out to eat" and then it's a well-known scene of "Ok, what are we getting?" "What do you want?" "Anything" "Italian food" "no" "seafood" "no" "then what?" "Anything". Instead of that, I've been doing this technique for the last 2 years and it's working amazingly so far.

Now his boss, Robert, is asking him to solve the issue because he's damaging the image of the team. His wife has papers and prof for divorce but that's a big fucking no no for the MPs.

It may be the only chance you can say out loud in public "yeah, he's pounding me so hard every night as if I'm a kitchen drawer that doesn't close. At this rate, I may be holding an entire milk factory inside me," as if its the sweetest thing ever.

*Sigh* Him. His mom is an amazing cook and he learned from her. I bake better though!

Me. My hair is longer and I like to stand there and think haha

Meeeee!! A place for everything please! He doesn't care quite as much.

Probably me. I do more food shopping and go on random splurging. He can do it too sometimes though.

Him. Though it's close. I get in a pattern of waking up early but he can sleep later on weekends.

Him. Better because I make him drive everywhere. He doesn't usually have road rage and is much better on the highway.
7 Who is the most stubborn?
Wow that's hard. Um, me. But only by half a perfect.
8 Who is the most romantic?
Him. He loves cuddles and pet names and I don't think about it as much. Oops.
9 Who is more laid back?
Me. I really try not to stress and more things bother him.
10 Who is more likely to ask for directions?
Me. I don't want to get lost. Unless we're at a grocery store then it's him cause I don't want to bother the employees.
11 Who is the blanket hog?
Me. Even though I get hot I like the sheet and he's usually warmer than I am.
12 Who is more likely to lose their phone?
Him. He'll just set it down and get distracted and make me call him to find it.
13 Who initiated the first kiss?
Him. We were both nervous but he went for a sweet goodnight kiss finally :)
14 Who fell in love first?
Him. That's what he says anyway. I was in like but very unsure and he was VERY sure.
15 Who planned the honeymoon?
Me! With his help though, but he let me make most the decisions.
