their voice!! i find it really easy to like someone if their voice sounds nice and also the opposite, do love a good accent.

hazel ig?? ive got central heterochromia so the centre of my eyes are brown and the rest is green.

7. scary movies or good endings?

good ending all the way. having said that, i am an avid agnst enjoyer so put your characters through hell as long as everything works out <3

uhhh i can moonwalk and half stand on my head- that's fun at parties 😭

Ahhh do you plan to post your Skinamarink thoughts??? I'm so excited to hear your review!

I thought I posted something about this after I saw it, but I can't find it, so I must not have.

So, Skinamarink is based on the short horror film, Heck, which i saw quite awhile ago and thought was fantastic. It is all atmospheric, it was absolutely never going to be for everyone. It's highly conceptual horror, it's not a jumpscare type thing, nor is it the kind of horror that feels wrapped up neatly with a bow at any point.

I think the strengths of Heck end up being some of the problems of Skinamarink. Which isn't terribly unusual for horror shorts that get pulled out into full length movies. Horror is very very hard to maintain. So, for example one of my favorite horror shorts was Lights Out. It conveys a horrifying idea that also tells you something about real life is like...less than two minutes, and it is so good. When I heard they were making a full length movie of it, I simply said, "No." Still havent' seen it! there's no way you could convince me they pulled it off.

So, a lot of what makes the roughly ten minute Heck, the circling, the dawning realization of what it all means, the puzzlebox that won't be solved, all feels horrifyingly tense and leaves you with a lingering sense of dread. But in Skinamarink, it feels overlong. I LOVE a ponderous horror movie, I am that bitch, but even i was like, 'Okay y'all we gotta move this along somehow" because something that works in the short might not in the long.

I like that it EXISTS, and I really want more of these kinds of risks to be taken with horror, but I think all in all Heck is a better execution of the ideas in the story.

ohhhh thats such a good question anon!! i love AUs so much, they can be so unique, and usually when i've shipped something long enough I just have like, a million of em sitting around, but for some reason i havent made that many with ishimondo??! i need to work on that XD anyway here's some great AUs I've seen!

I really like @edgy-senju 's mastermind ishimondo drawings!! I've seen lots of mastermind AUs and the aesthetics are always super cool, and especially in this case!! they just look so good ahhh

another artist I really like with some cool AUs is @mickules have a really good pinned post with all their stuff I'll also link it here, so do yourself a favor and look at everything there!!! They are seriously so inspiring with their comics!! and there's some cute AUs in there for u to take a look at :D

Another AU im always a fan of is werewolf mondo and vampire ishimaru, its always fun to have their natural rivalry even more pronounced in a monster au!! I've seen some really cute fics and art for this concept. I remember seeing it a lot back when I was first shipping ishimondo in like 2013-14, and I really liked how @treeofficial did it

for ur second question, probably my favorite thing to read in a fic is ishimaru being super socially awkward!! if it makes me cringe in second hand embarrassment then its absolutely perfect!! some fics i really like with this concept are @dracothedeatheatingcupcake-ao3 's problem series (https://archiveofourown.org/series/2517916) but a specific fic I like of there's that has Ishimaru being a socially awkward cutie is this one:

I literally reread it all the time (and its LONG!) because it's just SO good. it's basically the main reason I even started drawing ishimondo again XD It's got all my fav things! I feel like if you ship ishimondo it should be legally required that you read this fic (jk but no seriously)

maybe i was shadowbanned cuz of them but i havent been in syscourse for so long (im very proud of me for getting out of that hellhole xfvcdsxzc it made me unhappy personally) but im a medium sized blog who used to post endo sys positivity so (and still get a bit of anon hate for it sometimes) ... ahhh @_@

i know i sound like a little kid when i say this but i wish we could all just block and move on, its an opinion, why are people mass reporting over this stuff.. its not that hard to be like "this person has a different opinion than me, so ill just block them (and maybe block tags related to them)".......

Yeah! Like, we block every sysmed we come across, and even despite doing that for years, we still occasionally get anon hate. Good thing Tumblr requires you to have an account to send anon asks now, so anon hate can be reported properly. However, one thing that seems to have deterred anon hate is a practice we started doing to where every time we got anon hate, we made a positivity post. Our most recent hate ask = positivity post is still being reblogged and has well over a hundred notes now.

Far better than replying to it and humoring them, right?

But yeah, some people take this sh!t too seriously, and they legitimately need to grow the fuck up and realize that this is the internet and you’re inevitably going to come across people and opinions you don’t like. It does not mean you have to go out of your way to witch-hunt and harass them.

Also, it sucks to hear that your blog was getting so much sh!t for trying to spread positivity. Tumblr really isn’t safe for any pro-endogenic person, system or not.

5. What do you wish someone would ask you about [insert fic]? Answer it now!

i wish people would ask me for meta posts/analyses more often!! i put SO much thought into themes & symbolism in tpg...the few times people have requested me to talk about it (i think i've done a few on toji & getou, then one on yuuta & maki, another about redemption in the form of protecting others, and a brief one on the symbolic meaning of the phrase 'the strongest' in tpg. i bet there are others, but...my mind is blank.) there are so many i could pick from and idk what people would actually want me to ramble about, so i won't pick a random one now, but my ask box is always open to these :^D

20. If you wrote a prequel to [insert fic], what would it involve?

ooh, this is an interesting one. hm. it'd be cool to write about yuki & toji's relationship prior to the start of the fic -- they knew each other for ~1.5 years between her saving him and him meeting maki, and in that time go from subject-researcher to actual friends, so that'd be fun to explore!

21. If you wrote a “missing scene” in [insert fic], what would it be?

i'd totally want to write shoko's adventures getting close to the ff in summer 2011! it'd be fun to have a series of oneshots of her & toji getting kicked out of bars, motorcycle speeding tickets with yuki, nanashoko being repressed and deeply in denial about their feelings for each other, skate park disasters with gojo, and crazy shenanigans with all the kids!!

22. Who is your favorite character in [insert fic] and why?

ahhh this is such a hard one...my favorite character in canon jjk is gojo, but if i had to pick a favorite character in tpg, it'd probably be maki.

omg there are so many this would be like 20k words long if i listed all the references to canon in this monstrosity. what's probably less known is all the parallels between tpg and hey son, i killed your daddy. despite one being in the canon universe and tpg obviously being an au, there are a lot of references to hsikyd in tpg!

i'll answer question 1 here: What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work? (In other words, what do you think is the best introduction to your fics?)

it's the one i just linked above! it's a gojo & megumi fic where gojo admits to megumi what happened to toji, canon compliant. that fic is ME in 5,664 words. it means so much to me, and i feel like it summarizes all my most beloved themes in media in one fic. PLEASE READ IT IF YOU HAVENT YALL LMAO

I have not been following you for long but I'm just so impressed with your take on Anarkia! I've loved reading both your ic and ooc thoughts (that one on her connection to 'heresy', particularly!) and I adore that you are really making her a fully rounded muse without relying on the evident tropes that it feels the creators had in mind when designing her.

Honestly, I think you are able to capture her allure in such a subtle yet perfect way; it derives from her mysterious origin (rather than appearance, at least going from my experiences with the interrogation) and she just feels like an extremely intriguing figure that does not adhere to what most people in DisCity would expect her to and it makes her such an unpredictable individual - it's super exciting!

I just really appreciate the voice you've given her, balancing that seemingly gentle nature but with the ever-present hint of danger and the lethality she also carries around. I'm super curious to read & see more of your Anarkia on the dash! :)

i dont feel like i write ic posts enough but i'm trying to remedy that asap with all these asks in my inbox that i havent gotten to and my drafts ahhh... but yeah i enjoyed writing her connection to her own sin, heresy sm. i come from a background that is intrinsically connected with the middle east (not middle eastern myself, however), which i feel like i could provide insight to even just through my own culture.

honestly similarly with you: writing gacha characters has their own pros and cons, and unfortunately with both of our muses they do not get the main story's depth and exploration. to which i find is one of the fun things to explore: we go with the bare bones we are provided, although i have the luxury of her being in the first event featured in the game. to which, i was genuinely surprised that they went that route with her. at first i was going to be disappointed because her teaser line was very sultry, like a distant lovers thing with the chief but the event story went into more of her anger towards people, and honestly, i felt that and i wanted nothing more than for them to give me something that was more than just an elusive dancer or fortune-teller.

she is a very unpredictable individual and that is so... sometimes i worry about that balancing act. it's such a delicate thread to walk on but i'm happy to be here, and i'm happy to keep working on it. i'm glad that there are people who want to write with her, inside or outside the fandom, and i noticed the same for you too and it's always got such fun dynamics and different traits of the character to emphasise on. <3
