Hiii!! Could I request a bombshell reader x Spencer where someone (a local police maybe) says something rude to her about her appearance or something and normally it doesn’t really get to her, but something snaps and she kinda shuts down/is rude to Spencer until he coaxes it out of her? Sorry it’s long I had an idea and ran w it loollll
ty for requesting angel! confident fem!reader, 1k
Spencer shouldn’t expect his colleague to hold his hand, especially one so confident. What sense would that make, a woman as established as you are, who smiles without a lick of worry nor smugness, wanting to hold his hand?
But you do it all the time, is the thing. In the car on the way to crime scenes, in the hallways of the office, under the round table. It started as a tethering for his distractedness, when one day he’d wanted to talk but hadn’t had the presence of mind to walk at the same time, so you’d taken his hand and led him to the office. You’ve been taking it at your discretion ever since.
Spencer knows something is wrong —you haven’t tried to hold his hand all day. And even if you aren’t interested in him romantically, Spencer has come to crave the touch. He’ll accept platonic hand holding. Anything, really.
“You’re staring very deeply, Dr. Reid,” you mutter, shades from your usual lightness.
“I’m thinking.”
“Aren’t you always?”
“About you.”
“Well,” you smile fleetingly. “You should always be thinking about me.”
“You’re truly humble.”
His joke doesn’t land, it crashes and burns; your smile fades completely into a short, sharp line. Your gaze moves back into the restaurant, waiting for the team's food order in silence once again.
Spencer’s pinky finger twitches across the gap.
“Is everything okay?” he asks.
“Fine.”
You stay quiet, Spencer worries. He takes the bags before you can when they bring your food to the collection desk, two lumps of heat he holds to his thighs as you begin the walk back to the hotel. Tonight, the team will pick at their food together and rehash the same arguments they’ve been making all day, filling in each other's gaps, and tomorrow the work will start again. He can’t have you this unhappy again tomorrow.
“You’re amazing,” he says, watching you turn to him from the corner of his eye, “you know you are, we all do, everyone who meets you. I know you don’t need me to tell you that, or to feel better, but… I’m here for you. If you want to talk. It’s been a hard couple of days, and talking about traumatic events as they happen and directly afterward make them easier to recover from.”
“I’m not traumatised.”
“Upsetting,” he corrects. “Having a shoulder to cry on is good for you, and I can be that shoulder. You know, if you need me to be.”
He can’t know this in the moment, though maybe one day you’ll tell him, further down the line when the hand holding is better defined, but you look at him and you love him. To know Spencer is to love him. Or at least that’s how you’ve always felt. You’d love to cry on his shoulder about what transpired that morning if it weren’t embarrassing to think about, you’re upset over a throwaway comment made by nobody important.
Spencer offers his company earnestly. He stammers. It’s amazingly sincere, as he usually is. He won’t mind if it’s embarrassing, he’ll just listen.
You clear your throat. “I know I’m not to everyone’s taste. I know that the way I… present myself isn’t what most men like. People love confidence, but not when it’s bossy, not when it’s– when it’s vain. And I am vain. I think about my appearance a lot, I think I’m beautiful most of the time, I try so hard to have that be true.” You eye him thoughtfully. “Do you realise that?”
He shakes his head gently, one ear toward one shoulder and then the other, as though balancing. “Sort of. I know you put effort into your appearance, but I also assume a lot of it to be natural.”
“Right, well. It’s not natural. Not really. My natural beauty wouldn’t be all the beautiful to most people. And I’ve accepted that, I know what I like about myself, and–” You’re losing the thread of your point, an upset creeping into your melodic tone and turning it ragged. “When people tell me they don’t like how I look now, I guess it hurts because I know they wouldn’t like me before, either, and I feel defeated because I know I can’t win.”
“Who said they don’t like how you look?” Spencer asks, confused, on his way to annoyed.
“Officer Friendly.” You look to your shoes, watching the steps you take. “Guess he wasn’t as nice as we thought.”
“What did he say to you?”
You shrug. “Same story. He doesn’t like girls who wear makeup. Doesn’t like uppity women.”
“Did he call you that?”
“What are you gonna do if he did?” you ask without malice.
“Morgan’s teaching me self defence for a reason.” You smile at his light joke, though it doesn’t last. He transfers the takeout bags into one hand, the other held out to you, his fingers sliding down your arm to your wrist. “You know you’re beautiful, with or without makeup. And you’re not uppity, you’re out of his league. There’s a difference.”
“You’re flirting with me.”
“No.” He wishes he had the wherewithal sometimes, but this isn’t flirting. “I’m being honest with you. Men like that don’t like you because they know they’ll never, ever have you, or anyone like you. There isn’t anyone like you,” he adds, sliding his hand into yours.
He squeezes all your fingers together twice in quick succession.
“Don’t let a jealous chauvinist halfwit make you think you’re not good enough,” he says.
You curl your fingers around his before he can take his hand back. Slowly, you squeeze his hand. Then, smiling, you let him go.
“I’ve never heard you say something mean like that,” you say. “Halfwit. That’s crass.”
“I was going to say he’s an asshole, if that’s better.”
Your laugh echoes off of the sidewalk. “That’s perfect. Say something meaner.”
The insult he uses next doesn’t bear repeating.

I'm just imagining having to break up small fights between the 141.
They're rare, but they do happen. Usually when tensions are running high and things aren't going as they're supposed to. Occasionally it's because they cross each other's boundaries, but for the most part it's just men being men.
Soap and Ghost squabble the most, but it always comes from a place of concern. It's usually just hushed growls, and face to face glares. You usually just clear your throat and raise a brow. Both men tend to huff and walk off. Sometimes, if they're really mad at each other, they'll push at each other. You know better than to get in between them, but you call out to them and they stop. They never hurt each other, and that's pretty nice, actually.
Gaz and Soap on the otherhand, get much more physical. It's not bare-handed hits, but more wrestling, headlocks and grappling. It's like watching two brothers get into it over the TV remote (you've seen them fight over a PS5 controller, so not far off). All you have to do is raise your voice, grab whatever their fighting over, or just sit and enjoy the show. Eventually they tire themselves out. If they're actually mad at each other it can turn into a fistfight, but they usually look to you to break it up before it gets to that point.
Price and Soap is the worst. It's extremely rare, but when their tensions boil over, it explodes. Soap has some authority issues, and if Price forgets/ignores that it tends to get heated. It starts off as grumbles and growls from Soap but quickly turns into yelling and disobeying orders (obviously Soap has his reasons, but he goes about it the wrong way). If Price has had enough of Soap's infantile behavior he tends to snap (any of you acting like fools makes him embarrassed). If words are exchanged, well, it'll turn into a fight. Price always wins. Soap takes a couple days to recover his ego. But you try to jump in before it can get there. Only once have you actually had to get in between them and it was kind of terrifying. The only reason they stopped yelling at each other was because you had a hand on each of their chests and talked in a slow, calming fashion.
They'd all be fine without you, they'd figure out their differences. But with you around, they lean on you. Something about the way you guide social interactions just helps them breathe easier. You make an excellent mediator.

Tumblr media
You awaken, dazed and confused, your head heavy as your eyes adjust to the dim, smoke-filled surroundings. What's that smell? Is that... smoke? What happened?
Your body aches with every movement as you manage to sit up with a hefty groan, feeling the weight of gravity pull at your limbs. Rubbing your eyes with your hands to focus, you realise that everything is on its side, the walls of the shuttle caved in, sparks flying from broken control panels. What a mess. But, you're sure you were not alone before this happened.
“Tech?” you call out, your voice croaky before you start coughing, as if your lungs had filled up with smoke.
No reply. “Please don’t be dead, please don’t be dead,” you mutter to yourself as panic sets in, the memories flooding back. The mission, the Imperial's, crashing. Yes, that’s it. You crash-landed. But where? And where was Tech?
Luckily, your thoughts are answered as a torch shines in the distance, followed by loud clattering as if objects were being moved. You squint through the smoke, trying to ignore the acrid scent of burning metal. “Ah, there you are,” Tech says as he comes into view, his armor scratched, and his goggles a little skewed on his head.
“What happened?” you ask as he approaches you, another spluttering cough escaping your lips.
“If you take a look around, it will become apparent that we have crashed,” he replies. Ah yes, still a pain in the neck even after both of you nearly died.
You and Tech had rarely seen eye to eye. Since you joined the squad months ago, he always seemed to be on top of you, trying to prove you wrong or point out mistakes. It was tiresome. And now, unfortunately, you were stuck with him.
Rolling your eyes, you were in no mood for his tone and began to stand. However, as soon as you did, your leg gave way, your knees slamming to the floor. A cry of pain escaped you, making Tech look up from his cracked datapad, his eyes widening with slight concern. “Are you injured?”
“Obviously,” you grumbled in reply, stretching out your legs to assess the damage, but you didn’t see anything at first. It wasn’t until Tech crouched down in front of you that he spotted it.
“You have a laceration on your calf,” he said, his voice calm but concerned, inspecting the wound closely, and you did a double-take at his words.
“W-What? Is it bad?” You tried to hide the panic in your voice, but if there’s one thing you hated, it was blood.
Tech didn’t reply straight away, his eyes inspecting the wound closely, but your nerves began to eat away at you. “Tech, is it bleeding?” You asked quickly, your chest heaving as the fear started to creep in.
“Yes,” he confirmed, not making eye contact with you before he stood again, “I shall look for a medkit among this rubble. Stay here.” Well, it’s not like you had anywhere to go anytime soon anyway.
You wanted to call out to him, you wanted him to stay with you, but that would be inviting him to babysit you. Just because you were scared didn’t mean you wanted Tech to take care of you, which he probably would not do anyway.
Luckily, he wasn’t gone long and returned with a battered medkit. Some vials were smashed inside, and some tools were of no use, but you were glad that the bandages were untarnished. You had to look away as he started to dress your leg, cutting away the loose fabric to your pants before he skillfully wrapped it up. “That should do for now. Can you stand? We need to get out of here as it wouldn't surprise me if this shuttle imploded at any minute.”
Comfort was not his strong suit, clearly.
“I’ll try,” you began to haul yourself up your feet, but again, you were too weak. “No, no, no, I can’t.” As you were about to fall once again, Tech tucked himself under your arm, a hand steady on your waist as he kept you up.
“I will have to carry you.”
“No!” You squeaked. No way in hell were you going to let him carry you around. No way you wanted to appear more of a burden than you already are.
He raised an eyebrow, unmoved by your objection. “This is not open to debate. You can not put weight on your leg.”
With a frustrated sigh, you relented. “Alright, fine.”
With a wince of pain shooting up your leg, Tech manages to slip his arm around your neck, hoisting you over his shoulder with little effort. Each step he makes sends a jolt of unbearable pain through your leg, but you grit your teeth, holding back any sign of distress, more focused on figuring out how the two of you will get out of this mess.
You escape the shuttle, and the scorching sun immediately washes over you, its heat oppressive and suffocating. The air is humid and sticky. Great.
"So, where are we?" you ask awkwardly, still draped over his shoulder as he trudges onward.
"Uncertain," he replies, which does nothing to ease your nerves.
After a few minutes of walking, he finally sets you down on some dry grass. The sun beats down, forcing you to shield your eyes with your hand as you survey your surroundings. From the looks of it, you’re stranded in a jungle, with a vast expanse of open water stretching out before you. You could be literally anywhere.
“I suggest we find shelter, food, and a water source promptly. Since you are in no state to do anything, this task falls upon me,” he says, not once meeting your gaze as he speaks.
"Are you trying to blame me for hurting my leg? If I'm not mistaken, Tech, you were the one who pushed us into that shuttle," you retort, anger bubbling over.
"I am not blaming you, although if it was not for your mistake on the mission I would not have had to intervene." He trails off, not seeming to care at the dirty looks being sent his way. "I am merely stating facts." He says simply, tucking his datapad into his pouch before glancing down at you.
Deciding to keep your mouth shut for now, you refrain from arguing, knowing it won’t solve anything. Instead, you let Tech take the lead because, as much as you hate to admit it, he's right. You are in no state to do anything at the moment.
Tech leaves you alone for a while, giving you one of his blasters as a precaution before returning around half an hour later, announcing he found a suitable place to set up camp. You simply nod before glancing over at the crashed shuttle. “Is there anything we can salvage from that at least?” you ask aloud, drawing Tech’s attention back to you before casting a glance over at the debris.
“Perhaps. But we will have to be quick-." Before he can finish his thoughts, a sudden explosion rips through the air as the shuttle suddenly erupts into a burst of flames, sending debris flying in all directions. You both watch in shock as the flames engulf the wreckage, leaving nothing salvageable. Never mind.
Tumblr media
Once Tech had led you to a secluded spot under the protective canopy of towering trees. With careful movements, you managed to shift your weight onto your knees, the pain radiating from your leg causing you to bite back a wings of pain.
“You are doing it wrong.” As you went ahead and started to make a fire, Tech’s unsolicited advice on fire-building techniques went in one ear and out the other. Survival instincts was one of your specialties after all and so you ignored him as as you gathered dry twigs and leaves, arranging them meticulously into a makeshift pyre.
As Tech continued his lecture on the ‘correct way’ to build a fire, you struck the flint, the spark igniting a blaze that danced and crackled life. A triumphant smirk tugged at the corners of your lips as Tech fell silent, the warmth of the flames casting flickering shadows on the thick backdrop of the jungle.
“As you have accomplished the fire, all we need now is some edible food and water," Tech remarked and you hummed in slight agreement.
Carefully, you leaned back and against a sturdy boulder for support as you turned your attention to Tech, whose fingers deftly navigated his datapad. "Do you think you’ll be able to contact the others?" you inquired softly, wanting to hear good news right now.
Tech's brow furrowed in concentration as he tinkered with the device, the soft glow of the cracked screen illuminating his features in the darkness. "If I can get my device to work properly and salvage the shuttle… then possibly. But…" His voice trailed off, uncertainty lingering in the air.
"You have doubts?" you pressed, concerned lacing your words as you watched him shift uneasily in his spot.
“Yes,” he says as he stands, tucking his datapad away again, “I have my doubts.”
You both fall into silence, something quite rare from Tech as he was always chattering away about something. But for now, he was quiet. Deep in thought. A part of you wished you knew what he was thinking, wondering what was happening in that marvelous mind of his and if he had thought about what would happen if you two were never found which was a reoccurring thought in yours.
“I will be back soon,” he speaks up, breaking the silence after a few minutes.
“Where are you going?” You ask, a little too quickly. But truthfully, you didn’t want to be on your own right now. Yet you didn’t want him to know that.
He watches you almost tentatively before saying, “I need to gather provisions. I will not be long.”
You didn’t protest as you watched him walk away, disappearing through the trees as nightfall approached. Sighing softly to yourself, you sat lost in thought, the flickering flames casting shifting shadows across your face as you think back to all the things you should have done on that mission. Perhaps if you didn’t let your pride get the better of you, you wouldn’t have to sit wondering when Tech will return and if either of you will make it out of here.
Tumblr media
You don’t even remember falling asleep last night but you do remember waking up to the chill that had kept you shivering throughout the night despite sleeping by the crackling fire.
As you awaken to the gentle warmth of the morning sun filtering through the dense foliage above, a stark contrast to last night, with a heavy sigh, you sit up. You groan as your body feels more fatigued and worn out than before. Nausea washes over you as you groggily inspect your leg, the sight of the dried and bloodied bandage from the previous day making your stomach churn. Obviously, you'll need to tend to it again.
“Will you need my assistance or are you capable of tending to your own wound today?” Tech's voice cuts through the quiet morning air, his tone as matter-of-fact as ever. It's always hard to discern whether he's being genuinely helpful or simply blunt.
Deciding to handle this task yourself this time, you nod, expressing your intention to manage it alone. And even though you wanted to do it alone, Tech approaches nonetheless, the battered med kit in hand.
With Tech standing by, you cautiously remove the old bandage, your stomach turning at the sight of the open wound. Despite the lack of fresh blood, the dried remnants are enough to make you feel queasy. "You do not like blood," Tech observes, his statement pulling your attention away from the gruesome sight.
"Hm, how could you tell?" you mutter sarcastically, attempting to deflect from the discomfort.
“I have always known,” Tech responds cryptically, his expression giving nothing away as he crouches down beside you.
Curiosity piqued, you inquired further, wondering how he could have possibly known your hatred for blood. After all, you couldn't recall ever mentioning it to him before. “I… have observed your behaviour before and just so happened to pick up on it. I also recall you mentioning it to Hunter when you first joined.”
Hm, that’s… surprising.
You say nothing of it and instead allow him to take care of you. As Tech takes over, gently raising your leg and propping it over his knee, you can't help but notice the care he takes.
Despite his typically relaxed demeanor, there's a hint of concern in his actions as he tells you that you ‘may want to avert your gaze’ as he begins to peel the old bandage away.
Happily, you turn your attention to the leaves above, trying to ignore the stinging sensation spreading through your leg and the tears pricking at the corners of your eyes. Though, the warm breeze brushes against your exposed skin, offering a slight comfort amidst the discomfort.
“H-How does it look?” you ask, your voice strained, the anxiety evident in your tone as you feel Tech's careful movements.
“It appears that you have an infection. And I do not have the right resources to treat it.” Your heart sinks at his words, a sense of dread settling in the pit of your stomach as you try to suppress the rising panic.
“Great.”
“I will assume that is sarcasm,” he hums before passing you his canteen, “I found a water source last night. This has been purified and suitable to drink. I suggest you do that.”
Taking the canteen from his grasp, your mouth suddenly feels dry at the thought of water. You take a sip and can’t help but grimace at the taste, the bitterness lingering on your tongue. “Are you sure it’s been purified?”
“Yes, I did not say it will taste nice.”
You roll your eyes and take another remorseful sip before passing it back to him, your mind inadvertently drifting to the state of your leg. It looked worse than you anticipated.
“Shit.” You curse under your breath as you blink away the tears, the frustration and fear bubbling to the surface. Of course, your leg would get infected. Why would a crash-landing be a stroll in the park?
“I agree with your sentiments.” Tech's voice is steady as he carefully applies a new bandage, his movements precise and calculated. “I suggest you rest.”
“No,” you shake your head adamantly, meeting his gaze with determination, “I’m not going to sit here and do nothing. I have to do something.”
He blinks at you, frowning behind his goggles. “You are in no state to do anything. You are injured and so-.”
“So I’m a hindrance?” You challenge, the frustration evident in your tone as you refuse to back down.
“In a way, yes.” He says directly, the weight of his words hanging in the air as he stands up straight after carefully placing your leg down. “Any further injury could lead to loss of limb. Or worse. We cannot risk getting that leg infected even more. Do you not think you have caused enough grievance?”
Anger bubbles at his words, yet, a part of you knew he was right. You were both in this mess because of you but sitting on the forest floor doing nothing felt like a last resort. “Can you at least just help me stand up?” you grumble, your voice tinged with frustration. “Please?”
He hesitates, seemingly torn between his concern for your well-being and his reluctance to encourage any further strain on your injured leg. However, the dejected look on your face softens his resolve, knowing that he wouldn’t hear the end of it until he complies. Reluctantly, he extends his hand, offering you the support you need to rise to your feet.
Carefully, you put slight pressure on your leg, testing its strength. Surprisingly, it isn’t as painful as it was yesterday, giving you a glimmer of hope that you might be able to move around by limping or hopping for now—especially when Tech isn’t looking.
“Thanks,” you say stiffly, folding your arms over your chest, a mix of gratitude and stubbornness in your demeanor as you watch him pick something out of his pouch and hand it over to you. “What’s this?”
He presents you with a strange-looking leaf, its unfamiliar shape and texture raising your curiosity. “It is food. Edible. It is all I could find last night but will fill us with enough nutrients for now.”
Tumblr media
The rest of the day didn’t unfold as smoothly as you both had hoped. While Tech ventured back to the shuttle in a bid to secure a signal to reach the others, you took it upon yourself to be productive. Somehow.
With the terrain familiar to you from extensive research in your past, thoughts of herbal remedies for injuries like the one on your leg flooded your mind. So, after crafting a makeshift walking stick from a discarded branch sturdy enough to support your weight, you set off from camp, determined to gather the necessary ingredients.
Luck seemed to be on your side as you found the correct herbs and plants without much difficulty. However, your return to camp was met with an annoyed-looking Tech, his frustration evident as he started an argument for your sudden departure and for not telling him where you were since comms were dead too; coupled with his ongoing concerns about your leg.
Insisting that you were fine, you proceeded to apply the herbal remedy to your wound, wrapping it back up and allowing nature to take its course. Though Tech couldn’t help but offer snide remarks whenever you winced at the slightest movement, your remedy proved effective in easing the discomfort for a while.
Meanwhile, Tech’s attempts to establish a signal to the others had proved fruitless, only adding to his growing frustration. He was normally very composed under pressure, but his visible agitation was somewhat unsettling, leaving you feeling both concerned and also quite upset to see him this way.
As the sun began to set, casting long shadows across the camp, the atmosphere between you two remained tense. While you rested against the boulder again, Tech sat with his head in his hands, visibly weighed down by the day's events.
An uncharacteristic urge to ease his burden prompted you to speak up. “Why don’t you sleep? Try again tomorrow,” you suggest, breaking the silence and drawing his gaze across the flickering flames of the fire pit.
“One of us needs to stay awake and take watch,” he insists, decided on his decision straight away.
You frown, realising that you slept through most of the previous night, which meant… “Tech, did you not sleep last night?” you ask, your concern evident in your tone.
“No.” He mutters, “Like I said, one of us needs to stay awake.”
Squinting at him, a hint of annoyance creeps into your voice. “That’s not healthy, especially when we’re stuck like this. You need to sleep or something.”
“I am used to not getting sleep on the Marauder so I do not see why this is any different,” he counters, his stance firm.
Though grateful for his commitment to keeping watch, you can’t help but feel exasperated by his stubbornness. Rolling your eyes, you wrap your arms around yourself as a chill sets in. “To be fair,” you begin, “I kept waking up last night. It was way too cold.”
“Yes, I noticed,” he responds, his tone softened slightly by the acknowledgement.
“Oh,” you say softly before closing your eyes, allowing the weariness of the day to wash over you. However, you’re abruptly jolted from the verge of sleep by the sound of movement nearby. With a start, you almost jump out of your skin as Tech stands in front of you.
“Stars Tech!” You gasp, his sudden proximity shocking you. “What?”
“I want you to go to sleep.”
You blink at him.
“Okay…?”
“So,” you watch him shift, his movements awkward, “I will let you sleep beside me.”
It takes you a moment to comprehend his meaning before you pull a strange face, your eyebrows furrowing in confusion and slight amusement. “Are you asking me to cuddle you?” The thought surprises you, but oddly enough, it doesn’t sound too bad right about now.
“I would not put it so conveniently,” he says, his tone betraying a hint of discomfort, “I am merely stating that I could use my body warmth to help you sleep.”
You’re taken aback by his offer, but exhaustion soon overwhelms any reservations you may have had. “Oh… well, if you’re okay with that?”
“I would not have offered otherwise.” Tech’s smile is small but genuine, and you can’t help but softly smile back as you both sit beside one another, gazing into the flames of the fire pit. Soon, you find your eyes trailing down to his bare hands, frowning as you notice they look quite sweaty; an odd sight considering the cool evening air.
Curiosity gets the better of you, and you gaze up at his face, finding him engrossed in fixing his datapad. But something seems off—his complexion appears clammy, and there’s a flush to his cheeks.
Instinctively, you reach out and place the back of your hand to his forehead, gasping at the unexpected heat radiating from his skin. “Tech!” You squeak, startling him. “You have a fever? Why didn’t you tell me?”
He doesn’t even look at you, giving off a look like a character who had been bitten by something in those horrible horror holomovies and pretends to hide the bite. “Tech,” you say his name again, more sternly. “Are you hurt?”
He sighs, dropping his device into his lap before he lifts his arm to you, showing a bandage of his own that is stained in dry blood. “As I was maneuvering through the shuttle, I just so happened to trip and catch my arm on some jagged metal. It is nothing to fret about.”
“Oh, come off it, you’re burning up.” Tech notices the slight worry in your tone, watching you lean to your other side as you produce the herbal paste you used on yourself earlier. “Let me put this on.”
“Rest and water will do me fine-.”
“That’s funny, seeing as you just told me you’d rather me sleep than yourself.” You say with a roll of your eyes, taking a firm yet gentle hold of his arm before you start to peel the bandage away, holding down your nausea just for him.
Tech watches you with a concerned gaze. “I must insist…” he trails off as his eyes move to the sticky paste, clearly uncertain about your own remedy.
“Don’t you trust me?” You ask, and time seems to freeze as you both lock eyes, speaking silently to one another. His gaze is strong and, albeit, quite hypnotising behind his yellow-tinted goggles. But, you seem to snap out of your gaze as he replies:
“I do.”
“Well,” you say, clearing your throat as you drop your gaze to his arm, “let me help you.”
You’re gentle with your movements, applying the remedy over his arm with precision. You could feel his stare on your face, and so you slowly looked back up at him, his face so near you could almost feel the warmth of his breath dancing on your skin. “See? That should help with the pain,” you find yourself whispering.
For once, the two of you didn’t seem to be at each other's necks, both of you seeming to try and read each other’s thoughts. Tech was not the best at reading feelings, and as you gaze into his eyes, you find yourself not being able to read his too.
Eventually, you look away. An unusual heat started to crawl up your neck, and you didn’t think it was from the flame from the fire or his ‘body warmth’ as he put it. Lack of sleep and lack of food and water. That had to be it.
“Are you sure you don’t want to sleep, Tech?” You ask again as the drowsiness from before seeps back, and Tech turns his head away from you, inspecting his arm quietly before picking up his datapad once more.
“I am sure.”
Tumblr media
The next day unfolded much like the one before it.
Tech grumbled about your mobility, his attempts to fix up the shuttle yielding no results, and the air between you both grew heavy with unspoken tension.
Yet, as nightfall descended once again, you found yourself nestled beside Tech, his warmth offering a rare respite, allowing you to drift into a peaceful sleep. And miraculously, your homemade remedy seemed to work wonders on both of you. You could now move with a bit more ease, and the infections on your injuries had cleared up.
But as you stared into the dancing flames that night, a wave of sorrow washed over you.
“You were right, you know?” you whispered into the night, the warmth of the fire casting flickering shadows on your face.
“About what?” Tech responded, his eyes fixed on his datapad, the soft glow illuminating his features.
Tears welled up at the corners of your eyes, and you struggled to keep them at bay, feeling utterly helpless. “That it was my fault… with the mission. If I had just let you do the data transfer instead of insisting I could do it then…” Your voice faltered, choked by a sob that escaped your lips, startling Tech. “Then we would’ve made it out in time! A-and the others… Tech, we don’t even know if they’re alive!”
Tech stared at you wide-eyed, your sudden outburst of emotion catching him off guard. Yet, amidst your tears streaming down your face and your hands clasped over your head, he uttered your name softly, “Mistakes happen.”
“But they don’t with you, Tech!” you cried, turning to face him. “You’re always so good, so perfect at everything you do, and I… I just wanted to prove myself to you! I always feel like I am not good enough for you, and that’s why you don’t like me.”
For a moment, the crackling of the fire was the only sound between you, the flames casting a warm glow on both of your faces. Tech's expression softened as he regarded you with understanding.
“Not liking you, is not something that ever crossed my mind,” he finally said, his voice low. “You were determined, and that is a trait that is to be commended. It is true, I often find it easier to rely on myself but I am programmed that way. But you, you gave it your all, and that is commendable. Do not be so hard on yourself.”
You sniffle, feeling the weight of your emotions pressing down on you like a heavy blanket. The tears keep escaping your eyes, trailing down your cheeks as you struggle to contain your emotions. "But… because of me, you’re stuck here?"
Tech’s gaze softens, his eyes reflecting understanding. His voice carries a comforting warmth as he responds, “I am aware. But think how you would be if I were not here.”
Your mind whirls with the possibilities of what could have been, but you still feel terrible. "But we may not see the others again… we may not ever leave here." Your voice trembles with the weight of uncertainty, your heart heavy with guilt.
Tech’s gaze shifts away, his brows furrowing in contemplation as he adjusts his goggles. "We have to adapt to survive, we always have. And regarding the others, the probability of their survival is 89%. It is likely they are out there looking for us. And if I get the shuttle repaired enough to get a connection, I can send a signal and hope they pick up our coordinates.” His voice carries a note of determination.
You cling to his words like a lifeline, a glimmer of hope flickering in the depths of your despair. How could you have been so stupid? But, his words held promise but you can’t help but ask: "Promise me you’re not lying to me?"
“I have not once ever lied to you and I would not start now.” His response is steady, his words a soothing balm to your battered soul.
As your tears slowly subside, a tentative smile graces your lips. "Thanks Tech,” you murmur, your voice thick with emotion. “I bet I look a mess right now. I’m a pretty ugly cryer.”
Tech’s gaze softens, a hint of warmth in his eyes as he searches for the right words. "No, you look…” He trails off, his gaze lingering on your tear-streaked face. He reaches out, his touch feather-light as he gently brushes away a stray tear that glistens on your lashes.
“What?” you prompt, your breath catching in your throat at his unfamiliar touch as you meet his gaze.
“Like you,” he finishes, a little awkward but his words were imbued with sincerity as he offers you a small smile.
Emotion wells up inside you, a tidal wave of gratitude and affection crashing over you. Without a second thought, you lean forward, wrapping your arms around him in a tight embrace. He freezes for a moment, taken aback by the sudden intimacy, before tentatively returning the hug, his arms encircling you in a protective cocoon.
As you’re wrapped in each other's embrace, you find solace; a fleeting moment of peace.
As sleep beckons, you can’t help but nestle closer to him, finding comfort in his presence as you drift off into the realm of dreams, his steady heartbeat a lullaby.
Tumblr media
In the days that followed, a significant improvement became evident. Tech’s progress on the shuttle repair was slow, hampered by the absence of his proper tools. Despite the challenges, both of your injuries had begun to heal, and the atmosphere in camp had lightened considerably.
Although the water still tasted like dirt, you were no longer dehydrated. Discovering some rare fruits that proved not to be poisonous added to the uplifting spirit.
At night, neither of you seemed to mind huddling for warmth. You would lay against him, listening to the plans and stories he had, especially if you begged him to tell you. Although they were very matter-of-fact and not overly entertaining, you found the tales of the squad before you joined enjoyable. You both no longer bickered, clearing the air of past arguments, and genuinely enjoyed each other's company. Although it was not like either of you had any other options.
But that’s not the only thing that had changed. You found yourself getting nervous around Tech. A good kind of nervous. When he was working on the shuttle, you couldn’t help but sit back and admire him at work. He was attractive, sure, but you found him more than that. He listened intently to you, offering advice and tips without seeming to mansplain to you.
So that night by the fire again, sitting by his side, you weren’t so surprised about the next set of events.
“What are you going to do when we leave this place?” You ask, your body twisting to face him as you rest your elbow against the boulder, hand on the side of your head as you lean yourself up to look at him.
He smiles, noticing how you said ‘when’ and not ‘if’, highlighting your trust in him. “I will most likely do what I usually do, get ready for the next mission set for us.”
You roll your eyes. “You don’t want to celebrate?”
“Celebrate what, exactly?”
“Well,” you start with a soft laugh, “us finally putting our differences aside and not killing each other for one.” You suggest, earning a fond chuckle from the clone before continuing. “And surviving.”
He thinks for a moment, looking into the flames and then at you. “I suppose those are adequate reasons to celebrate, yes. Will the others be joining?”
“Sure,” you say with a smile but there’s a small swirl in your stomach as you say, “unless… you don’t want them to join us?”
Tech blinks, and for a second, it was like he was short-circuiting as he thinks about your proposal. Was it flirtation in your tone or had he imagined it? “I do not mind either way,” he explains, his chest slightly puffing out. “It would be nice to perhaps talk like this in a more formal setting elsewhere. Just us.”
You silently suck in a deep breath, a shy glint in your eyes. “I think I’d like that, yeah.” Your tone lowered, and you can’t help but notice that Tech had turned his body more to face you. Then, his eyes flickered to your lips as you inadvertently licked them, chapped but tinged with the sweetness of the fruit before.
You hold his gaze, slightly tilting your head as you take a gamble and look to his lips, then to his eyes. It was an invitation, and you hoped that Tech got the hint.
And he did.
Slowly, he sets his datapad to one side, finally letting it go as he focuses all of his attention on you. There’s a charge in the air, and you see him lean closer... and closer…
Your breath hitches, eyes slowly falling shut as he closes the distance, his nose brushing against yours before his lips meet your own in a soft, shy kiss. Leaning more into it, your hand finds refuge on his leg whilst one of his hands comes up and cups your cheek.
You sigh into him, heart racing as you feel him grow bolder. His lips, warm and inviting, meld with yours, igniting a spark that you both had been unknowingly kindling. His touch sends shivers down your spine as the kiss deepens, becoming more desperate, more intense. The jungle, the planet, the whole star system around you seems to fade away.
Tech utters your name against your lips, your soft moan of a response allowing his tongue into your mouth, exploring, igniting a fiery passion within you.
Gently, he lays you down by the fire, the crackling flames casting dancing shadows across his face. He pulls away for a moment, pulling his goggles off his face as he peers down at you, his eyes a dance of different emotions. “You are enchanting.”
But with a hunger that can no longer be contained, he crashes his lips back to yours, now allowing you to let your tongue meet his in a fervent dance; fingers tangling in his untamed hair meanwhile his hands roam over your body.
Tumblr media
The next day brought a breakthrough. Tech managed to gain contact.
Overwhelmed by joy, you ran into Tech’s arms, jumping and letting him spin you around with a chuckle as you knew both of you would soon be saved! And better yet, the others were alive and safe too.
“I can’t believe you did it! You really did it.” You grin at him as he pulls back from the hug but does not let you down, instead cradles you in his arms.
“You seem surprised.”
“Oh Tech,” you say adoringly, leaning forward and giving his lips a soft kiss, smiling as he hums against your lips.
“I will never get tired of you kissing me,” he utters, truly in awe of how this sudden turn of events had happened. It was quick, but neither of you seemed to mind.
Last night was magic. All the bad memories had faded from your mind, solely just focusing on Tech and yourself. When all hope had seemed lost, your mistake led you to one of the best choices you ever could make. And maybe, that promised date would become something more.

It's not a request, just wanna know your thoughts about yandere masochist Tim?
•́ ‿ ,•̀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
> romantic 18+ > twcw: bdsm, yandere-typical behaviors, can be read as dub-con despite reader being the dominant > kinda treated it like a hc/imagine request anyway hahhh it was fun to write!
Man, yandere masochist Tim would be a little bit of a mindfuck. But a delicious one, to be sure! I think the relationship is initially enticing to you because, well, Tim's the one getting dominated here. You're the one with the upper hand.
(He thinks it's very cute of you to assume that. Despite being the submissive, Tim’s definitely the one in control here.)
On a surface-level, Tim would enjoy letting go and putting himself in your hands. The Bats are adept at multitasking, but even geniuses like them get… stressed. Sometimes he doesn’t want to think, Lord knows he does enough of that already. Sometimes, it’s nice to be the pawn in someone else’s game for once, but also be able to enjoy it.
On a deeper level, Tim likes being your sub because it truly means that he's yours and you’re his. He loves when you pull at his hair, nip at him, or bully him. Your anger, your passion, your punishment– only he gets to see and enjoy the darker sides of you that you keep hidden from view during the day. Tim is greedy. Both the pain and pleasure you dish out is for him, and him alone, to take. And the same goes for your softness during the aftercare.
I see Tim enjoying being any flavor of masochist/sub, depending on his mood. And depending on yours as well! He can be a feisty, vexing brat with a smart mouth or a whimpering, pleading submissive. He has nothing if not the range! I think he’d really enjoy spanking or flogging.
His favorite position is head down, ass up. He likes the vulnerability and surprise, and the option to hide his face and mewl into the sheets. He's partial to being blindfolded as well! He enjoys bondage and shibari, too. He could easily escape, but he doesn't - that's him showing his respect, adoration, and trust for you.
Tim's more … possessive qualities will show themselves if you aren’t in a relationship with him, only friends with benefits.
"I may... find another sub, if that's okay with you?" No, it's not okay with him. Only he gets to see you this way. He feels obscenely, viscerally opposed to the idea, but he smiles amicably to your face.
Tim’s requests get more and more extreme to keep your attention. Show you that he lacks nothing, and he can go farther than any other masochist you could find. However, you didn't ask him to perform this way. Sure, you may be the dominant here, but your boundaries still matter don’t they?
“Fine… but this is the last time, Tim,” you say, relenting. You’ll find him nodding, agreeing that of course, of course, just one more time for pity’s sake. That night, he’ll make sure to make the sweetest sounds. His role usually takes and receives, but Tim decides to also give. You can sit and ride his face until you orgasm. In your post-coital glow, you'll lie sandwiched to each other, breathless. He'll have your fingers trail on his skin and trace the bruises and the pretty pink welts you've left.
He'll whisper his agenda in your ear. You've always been easier to convince after loosening up. Okay, so maybe he was more hardcore than usual tonight, but you liked it, too. Why ruin a good thing? What could anyone give you that Tim can't? Maybe you really don't need to find someone else.
And most importantly, Tim will make it seem like you arrived at that conclusion entirely by yourself.

peeta tells katniss she snores
(scene from a modern au wip)
EDIT: you can find the completed fic here
***
“Why don’t you sleep with white noise anymore?”
“What?” he asks groggily. He’s half asleep.
“Your white noise sound thingies. You haven’t put them on since, like, the first night I stayed over. I’m starting to think you’re a liar.”
We’re cuddling in my favorite position, facing each other where I’m able to hold his head against my chest and his arms are wrapped around my waist. We’re completely clothed. Well, I’m in a tank top and underwear, and he’s in boxers. We didn’t have sex tonight. Sometimes we don’t have time for anything other than studying and sleep. I don’t know when it became okay to have sleepovers with no sex, but now I can’t usually sleep without his arms around me. Even if I had to fuck him every night just to sleep next to him, I’d take it in stride and count my blessings. But he doesn’t seem to mind this way, either.
He chuckles, and the sound tickles the skin on my shoulder. I instinctively tug on his hair some, and I know it makes him wake up more because I hear his breath pick up speed a little. “I haven’t had to play them. When you stay over.”
I pause my scratches on his scalp. “What do you mean?”
His hands tighten around me and he seems to hesitate. “It’s um, easier… to sleep when you’re here, sleeping with me.”
My brows furrow at his nervousness, making me sense he’s hiding something. “What are you saying?”
He sighs. “Katniss… there’s no easy way to say this.”
“Spit it out, Peeta.”
He rubs circles on my back in a comforting manner. “You snore.”
I fake-slap him on the back of his head, sitting up. “I do not!”
He holds up a hand in a surrendering gesture, smiling. “You do, unfortunately. Well, not unfortunate for me. The sound helps me sleep.”
I narrow my eyes at him. “You’re lying. I’ve never snored a day in my life.”
“A night in your life.” I roll my eyes. “And you do.”
“My sister and I have had sleepovers my entire life! She’s never once mentioned something like that!”
“Baby,” he reaches out to rub my thigh, and I’m used to the feel of his body on mine, but the new term of endearment makes my eyes widen and my face heat. “I’m sorry she never told you.” He smiles. “But I’m not lying.”
I look at him for a moment too long, then scoff. “Whatever.”
I pretend to be making my way off of the bed, but he wraps his arms around me, “Uh-uh, not so fast, Everdeen.” I giggle while he pulls me to lay flush against his chest, so we’re face to face. His eyes are slightly crossed from looking at me so closely. His eyelashes are so long. “Hey.”
“Hey.”
He sighs in what seems to be contentment. “I really like being around you.”
My heart skips a beat. “I like being around you, too.”
“And I like it when you stay over. It means that my white noise won’t be top five on my Spotify Wrapped for this year.”
I scrunch up my nose. “I don’t know about that one, Mellark. It’s already November.”
He rolls his eyes, “Fine. Then I like it when you stay over because…” he trails off to gesture between the two of us.
And I thought he was so good at words. “Because the sex is great?”
His brows furrow, and his grip on me tightens. “No.” He observes me a second longer before continuing. “I just like who I am when I’m around you. Don’t you feel like that with some people?”
I search his eyes. I feel like that with Annie. “Yes.” With you.
He gives me a soft smile that I match, and then we both lean in for a kiss, slowly. Just when our lips touch, I pull back a centimeter, taunting him. “Peeta?”
“Yeah?” His lips move against mine.
“I don’t snore.” I try to keep a straight face.
He chuckles against me, grabbing the back of my neck to bring me closer. “Whatever you say, baby.”

Reader x Chaeyoung - Getting Over It (Part 2)
Tumblr media
I'm just gonna say I'm sorry for the late update and I hope you enjoy this one!
PART 3 will be up in just a bit.
Tumblr block count was exceeded.
Sorry.
ENJOY!!!
======================
"Well Chae, thanks for the day." You turned to her as Chaeyoung put her hands behind her back and smiled.
"Of course (YN). Anytime. You did very well today."
You shrugged.
"I don't know Chae, it's been almost the same the past five days."
"Almost (YN), almost. AND you got to your knees yesterday. That's an improvement." Chaeyoung pointed at you as you sighed.
"And to chicken out a few seconds later." Chaeyoung's shoulder and frown fell as she punched your chest as you gave almost no reaction.
"Oh come on (YN), don't be negative. Sure, I can't imagine how tough it is, but to see you pushing and pushing, I can say that we're doing very well with each day. You're not swimming or anything, but the first day, you couldn't even go off the first step, now look at you yesterday. We're making progress and I'm glad I'm here to see it through (YN), no matter how slow." Chaeyoung topped it off with her signature smile while you remained stoic.
You loved how Chaeyoung's eyes seemed to be smiling whenever you looked at her. There was a certain sparkle to her, and she was funny and goofy with you, which made you feel relaxed, brave and at ease whenever Chaeyoung was around you.
You smiled.
"Yeah, yeah you're right. I'm sorry about being negative Chae, you're trying your best and me behaving like that isn't right. We're making progress, small, yet progress."
Chaeyoung hummed.
"That's the mindset (YN), we'll beat this in no time." Chaeyoung raised a fist in front of her as you smiled. You loved her personality and optimism and you swore at yourself to not be such an ass to her next time.
"Yeah, we will. You know tomorrow, we should invite the others to join." Chaeyoung's interior happiness dropped, but she kept her smile on.
You and Chae told the others that Chaeyoung was helping you overcome it.
You even told them how it happened the day on the beach when it all started.
It wasn't a happy reaction as each of them grimaced at the event and a couple of them were on the brink of tears of what could have happened, Sana the worse.
Chaeyoung, hearing it again, closed her eyes and tried to think of something else. She didn't want to have that in her mind.
Eventually, they all calmed down from it and each of them gave a word to you that they were glad that you were with them, even Tzuyu, and promised to help you out when needed as well.
You thanked them for that and well, that was that.
"Yeah? You think they'll help?" She asked as you shrugged.
"I don't know about help, but with the heat out, it would be nice to be with us in the pool too." Chaeyoung hummed, "but who knows, maybe with you and the other's support, it'll be easier for me to ease my way into the water. And honestly, I feel bad that you're sitting there waiting for me to do something. I figured maybe you can hang with someone else in the pool while I do my thing."
Chaeyoung didn't know what to make of that.
Yes, she wanted to ask others to help, but after seeing the progress, she now thought that she didn't need to and she really wanted to have her own time with you.
If she said no, will you think she was selfish?
"Well...if you want them to come then, we could ask. But I don't mind waiting (YN), I told you with you, I don't care. Besides I remember our long hours of you tutoring me in math the last term and you stayed with me till I figured out how to solve each step (YN), longer than what we've been doing. You remember what you told me each night?"
You smiled.
"I said that I'd be right here sitting with you no matter what nor how long it takes till you got it." You recalled those words as Chaeyoung hummed in approval.
"Exactly, so now I'm saying that to you."
Tumblr media
And there was the effect of being with Chaeyoung.
No matter what, your morale goes up to tenfold around her.
You chuckled at her enthusiasm and nodded.
"Well, I guess I got nothing better to do~," Chaeyoung jabbed your stomach at that joke as she and you laughed, "hehe, thank you Chae. Really."
She shrugged.
"Don't mention it."
You hummed.
"Alright. Well, I guess I should head off. My dad is texting me to get home now."
Today was cut short due to your dad making reservations at your favorite restaurant. It was you and your dad only as he wanted to, in his words, bond with you more. He felt like you were gone most of the time and he wanted to catch up with you. You would have invited Chaeyoung, but you knew it would be rude of you to do so with your dad wanting to spend some personal time.
"Hey no worries (YN), well, you have fun okay."
You nodded.
"I will. And thank you Chae." She smiled as you backtracked out her home and turned to back to her while walking towards your car. "I'll call you later tonight alright."
Chaeyoung nodded.
"I'll be waiting~ Bye (YN)." Chaeyoung waved as you waved back, unlocked your car, got in, and after buckling up, Chaeyoung saw you turned your head to reverse out her driveway, turning to the right to leave.
As your car wheeled away from her sight, Chaeyoung stepped back inside her home while closing the front door.
CLICK
Chaeyoung locked the wooden white door and gave a hum as she turned on her heels and headed towards her room.
----------------------
THUMP
Chaeyoung laid on her back on her bed and covered her eyes with the inside of her arm.
"Another day gone...another day of not saying anything..."
She had fallen for you so bad.
You both would spend countless hours together, talking about everything whenever and wherever. Even sending texts left and right with the simplest emojis and gifs to make the other laugh or smile.
She loved to hear your voice and look into your eyes as if every word you said was the most important anyone had ever spoken. You made you feel like she was the most valuable person in the world every time she was around with the amount of support and care you gave her with any issue or anything that bothered her.
The moments they spent together were few and far between, but each second was precious to her and she knew they were to you as well.
The rest of the world faded away whenever she was with you and the excitement and joy inside, a feeling that she had ever really felt before, the kind of feeling where her whole body is high, almost numb with emotion and she caught herself smiling for no reason rose up inside each of her whenever you were in contact with each other.
Nothing else mattered, and nothing else felt as good in her life now as when you two were in close contact.
And every moment away from you left her wanting to be back with you, thinking about you, watching the time go by until she could be with you again.
She changed for the better with a more outgoing and expressive personality along with you and as the others joined couple by couple, Chaeyoung couldn't ask for a better group than this.
Even to this day, there was no day that was boring to her with you at her side and she hoped that there will be many more days with you, but not as a friend, but more.
At a spur, Chaeyoung evoked recollections of you and her together from recent all the way to...
==============================
FLASHBACK - 7 Years Ago
'Well, it hasn't been that bad.'
Chaeyoung thought as a week into her brand new school came and gone.
A week ago was the first day of her first year of middle school in a brand new area to which she moved due to her dad's promotion and relocation to the HQ of his job. She was happy for her dad and when she heard the news of moving...well she didn't really have a say in it.
So her family did in the middle of summer and it was a few cities over from her old place which wasn't so bad, yet so far away as well.
Her house was nice and the area was nice as well, but Chaeyoung had her fear about school.
It was startling enough to be starting school without the couple of friends she knew, but a new place as well made Chaeyoung feel like an outcast.
Not that her fellow classmates were mean; most looked friendly, pleasant, and cheerful when she heard them but yet Chaeyoung didn't make a move to interact with anyone and nor to her.
It didn't help that she wasn't able to be outgoing and ask others about being friends so she figured this was how it was going to be for a while...a long while.
Not that she minds though.
And so the first week was of her sitting in the corner desk of the classes, corner of the tables in the library, sitting in the corner at the lunchroom, and basically being by herself, but she liked the peace and quiet of her own little bubble.
And her own little bubble happened to be herself reading a book, specifically manga books. She loved to imagine the settings and scenes processing in her mind while reading line after line to keep her mind going through the action or dialogue.
Speaking of which, before school started, Chaeyoung wandered through the aisles of the library of the school.
It wasn't as grand a local library, but it had quite a nice selection that Chaeyoung found interesting. She planned on checking out a couple of them after finishing the one she was to close end.
With her favorite books in mind, she went to the manga section and upon arrival, spotting someone standing in the same aisle. She quietly stepped a few feet forward and began browsing the selection on the shelves.
Shuffling towards the left of her as she looked at each bindings name, Chaeyoung spotted a certain book that she didn't expect to find.
'Wait, they have (Book Name) here already?'
Upon reaching a hand on the book, Chaeyoung retracted just as quickly as she spotted another hand on the right about to come into contact with hers. She followed the arm and it was the same person in the aisle standing near her as Chaeyoung took a step back.
"I'm sorry..." The person spoke as Chaeyoung shyly nodded.
"I-it's okay..."
"Uh," the person reached to the same spot and grabbed the same book as Chaeyoung gave a slight frown. As the person brought the book downward, Chaeyoung was startled when they offered her the book. "Here."
Chaeyoung looked at the person and the book and back.
"O-oh it's okay. You can have it." She spoke softly as the person shook their head.
"It's fine, I don't mind."
"...you sure?" The person nodded and Chaeyoung took the book from their hands, "uh, thank you." She returned with words as the person nodded.
"You're welcome...uh, Chaeyoung right?" Chaeyoung looked in question. "Sorry, I hear your name in roll call during our classes." Chaeyoung took a second to process that information as she nodded. She didn't know which class as she didn't pay attention to any other student's names.
"Oh...uh, yeah I'm Chaeyoung." The person nodded.
"My name is (YN) by the way." You smiled as Chaeyoung gave a faint one back. "So...you like (Book Series)?" You pointed at the book as Chaeyoung nodded. "Yeah, it's a good series. I'm surprised they even have the newest one here."
"Yeah...me too..."
"..."
"..."
A moment of silence occurred as it was getting awkward for Chaeyoung and you.
"...Well, thank you." Chaeyoung gave a faint smile, "I hope you get another copy too." Chaeyoung then turned around and-
"Hey uh," Chaeyoung stopped and turned to you, "I-I don't mean to sound like a creep, but I notice you sit alone in the lunchroom at a corner." Chaeyoung wasn't sure what to make or say to that. "And well, I was wondering...would you...uh, care to have lunch together today..." You asked in a bashful manner as Chaeyoung was taken aback, both feeling embarrassed as you gave a small frown. "I-If you want that is. I'd figured if you wanted someone to talk to or...yeah." You added thinking that you were forward as Chaeyoung's sight wavered a bit.
Tumblr media
Someone actually wanted her to be with them?
"...I uh, w-would your friends mind?" She asked as your sight wavered as well.
"Actually, it's just me." Chaeyoung returned her attention to your embarrassed look, "I sit alone not too far from you and I figured maybe you'd want to hang or something...a-as I said it's up to you." You muttered and shrugged as Chaeyoung stared.
Guess there was someone else like her as well.
And know knowing it's just you, it's actually better than a whole group and Chaeyoung didn't see the downside of this as well. You seem friendly enough and it sounded like you were in her position as well.
What's the worst that can happen?
"A-alright," Chaeyoung stuttered, "sure..."
And from that moment was the start of a beautiful friendship that neither expected.
And as you said, you joined her for lunch on that day, both sitting in her corner as they found that rather cozier than a table and isolated from others as well.
Chaeyoung didn't have any complaints about you and she actually had a small fun time.
In fact, you were there for the next whole week as they met up for lunch till the weekend came. Those days were silent as you both spoke about classes for a few minutes and then towards books that both have read and sometimes it was eating in peace.
She learned that it was your first year as well and that you attend here for the same reason as Chaeyoung did with your mom being transferred due to a job promotion. She found it funny that you had the same reasons and behavior as she did.
Going to the end of the school week of lunching together, more topics and words were spoken and eventually, lunches had been much more pleasant than Chaeyoung would have imagined and the newfound friendship seemed easy and a nice feeling for Chaeyoung's new start.
Friday came sooner than Chaeyoung would have thought and was eager for lunch again.
Spotting you in the corner of their lunch first, she waved at you as you waved back and quickly as Chaeyoung sat, staring face to face, and engaged in somewhat meaningless conversation about their family, friends back at their old neighborhoods, and general topics in other areas than books such as anime, movies, music, etc till...
DING...DING...DING...
The bell for lunch to end dinged and you and Chaeyoung sighed at the sound.
"Well, that was quick." You spoke as Chaeyoung nodded.
With both lunches already cleaned and packed in their bags, you stood up and offered a hand for support to Chaeyoung as she took it and thanked you. Upon leaving the multipurpose room, both of you got to a hall where Cheayoung's next class was on the right and you on the left.
"Alright, well, guess I'll see you Monday." You said as Chaeyoung nodded, "bye Chaeyoung," and with that, you took a st-
"(YN)?" You paused and shifted to Chaeyoung's call to you, being only a foot away from you.
"Yeah?"
She gave a flat smile as Chaeyoung's shoulders went up and she became embarrassed under your look.
"I...well, I-I wanted to thank you."
"Thank me?"
She nodded.
"For asking me about lunch last week and for being my...friend." Chaeyoung appeared shy and broke her vision aside from you.
Her gratitude was unnecessary, regardless you smiled.
"I'm happy that you're my friend too Chaeyoung." Chaeyoung's eyes returned to you and a smile presented upon hearing that. "So Monday?"
She nodded.
"Yeah, Monday...and you can call me Chae, that's what my friends called me before." You hummed.
"Chae...alright then. See you Monday, Chae."
"You too, bye (YN)." She said back as you nodded and continued to walk to your intended class.
Chaeyoung turned in place and went down her hall as well and she couldn't drop the smile upon having a new friend here.

FLASHBACK OVER - PRESENT DAY
Chaeyoung hummed as she recalled that day.
She never would have thought that you and here would be friends for seven years now along with gaining new ones to form the crew that she thought were the best of any group she had...no offense to any prior friends she had before.
Later, as the other friends joined in, you were Chaeyoung's best friend.
And now, you were her love...well she hoped in time you will be.
Chaeyoung groaned and turned to her side and pouted.
Tumblr media
'Friend...is that I'll ever be with her/him...'
.
.
I'm a little monster nal geomnae
Neol gweropyeo nae kkumman kku-
Chaeyoung gave a slight jump in place as her ringtone went off. She checked her plugged-in phone and saw Sana texting her.
Hey Chae. Everything 👌with (YN)?
Yeah. S/he left like ten minutes ago
😔 So how'd it go?
Chaeyoung typed back.
Slightly better than yesterday
I know it hasn't been even a week, but I think he's improving each day
That's nice. Is there anything we can do to help 🤔?
 Sana asked as Chaeyoung contemplated.
You girls free tomorrow to come over?
She typed to Sana. "(YN) did say it might go better if more of us are here to help her/him." She whispered as deep down, she really wanted the alone time.
I can't, got a double shift at work 😭😭😭
Sana typed back as Chaeyoung smiled at her emoji's
That sucks. Well I'll ask the others then
Sorry Sana
It's okay. I'll live. Well good luck with (YN) then, on both problems
"Both pro-...oh..."
Chaeyoung sighed.
Alright Chae, I'll text you soon
My Mina is over here 💖🐧🥰
Chaeyoung hummed.
Alright. Have fun  👋
Oh you know we will~ 😏😘
Chaeyoung gave a soft laugh.
Bye Chae 👋
Bye Sana
Chaeyoung placed her phone on her side and looked up at the ceiling.
"Maybe tomorrow...maybe..."

TIMESKIP - NEXT DAY - 3:37 PM
Another Friday and another blistering day.
Somehow you'd successfully made it through the week, a whole week of spending every night after school with Chaeyoung, trying to test the waters and figure out the limits of your phobia.
Now, at the end of the week, this would be their fifth official session, and you weren't as frightened or timid as before but not by a large decrease.
Chaeyoung had been upkeeping her promise of being with you the whole time, even offering a reward for all your hard work on the weekend, you didn't know what it was, and even if you hadn't made much progress yet, Chaeyoung still insisted on it.
Having her with you did ease your nerves a bit, but you still hadn't been able to make it out of the shallows towards deeper water; only once you got to knee-high a couple of days ago till you went back out as quick.
Chaeyoung felt really happy that day and you surprised yourself that you managed to do so.
You tried not to think about it too much, your aquaphobia wasn't going to cure itself overnight.
You were sitting on the edge of the pool with your feet in the water. It went up to your shins as you moved your feet around in the water.
You had thoughts of how it wasn't as bad as you thought it was. In fact, you were doing your best to aid yourself at home as well. You didn't tell Chaeyoung, but you tried to do training at home in the shower.
While not at all the same as the pool, you trained to resist panic and stood in the water as much time as you can.
Normally, you wouldn't stand in the water for long, only using it to rinse quickly, but now, you needed to do your part to do this since Chaeyoung was doing her best to aid you.
Speaking of her, she was sitting by you and Chaeyoung wore a two-piece yellow bikini with regular bikini top and a ruffle skirted bottom that exhilarated her perfect body frame and cuteness overall.
And both of you had your switches as Chaeyoung asked you'd bring it to wait while sitting and to battle her.
Sorry not battle...get DESTROYED by her.
You sighed.
"God I hate Mimikyu..."
Chaeyoung hummed.
"Oh come on (YN)~, it's cute~"
"Yeah, when it's on your sid-A CRIT?!"
Your Sceptile fainted as Chaeyoung's Mimikyu's Shadow Claw critical hit him. You pinched the bridge of your nose.
"Well, one mon left. Send out your Gardevoir~"
Chaeyoung poked the side of your torso as you sighed.
"There's no point, you're gonna OHKO her." You complained.
"You never know (YN), you shouldn't give up. Maybe there's a chance." Rather than a taunt, Chaeyoung's tone shifted to a motivated one and you took it to your current situation as well.
Whether she was talking about one or the other, you nodded.
"Yeah, alright." you send out your last pokemon, Gardevoir, and commanded to use shadow ball...sadly...
"And you're faster, SLASH, and she's...gone." You watched your Gardevoir faint and Chaeyoung was the victor with three Pokemon left. "I need new mons."
"Well, what matters is that you didn't give up," Chaeyoung said as you turned to her and nodded. She raised her left fist, "gg (YN)." You raised your right and fist-bumped hers.
"Yeah, gg...next time I'll-"
"Hey, you two."
You both turned to witness both Jihyo and Tzuyu barely coming out of Chaeyoung's home holding hands, both with towels over their shoulders and already in swimwear.
Jihyo in a dark blue one-piece swimsuit while Tzuyu in a sea wave light pink two-piece bikini. Both articulated their perfect body figures.
"Hey girls, you look great." You spoke up as Chaeyoung nodded.
"Thanks, you two~" Jihyo smiled as Tzuyu nodded back. "So, how you feeling?" She asked as both were now near you both.
"Oh a lot better than the first day. Thanks to Chae." You turned to her as she smiled back.
Jihyo hummed at the two.
"That's great. Are the others coming Chae?" She asked as Chaeyoung nodded.
"Uh, they should be here soon. Sana, Jeong, and Dahyun can't come since they're working and Mina is out with her family for lunch but she'll try to make it so only Momo and Nayeon are on their way."
"Alright. So, how are you really feeling?" The sweetly concerned voice from Jihyo's intrigued face, "Because you seemed a little..."
"No, no I'm fine, thanks," you hurried to say before you had to hear what you seemed to like while proving exactly how fine you were by smiling too fast.
You wanted to say something, anything, that might remove the impression that you were being dramatic on purpose if only proper words would form instead of weak mumbling.
"Alright, just take it easy..." A warm, damp hand wrapped around your shoulder, simply holding it as if to let you know that you were not alone and not in a hurry.
"Of course Jihyo." You spoke as Jihyo nodded.
"Same (YN)." Tzuyu simply said as you looked at her.
"Thank you Tzuyu." She nodded back and looked to Jihyo, "Jihyo, I'm going to tan."
Jihyo smirked.
"I'll help with the sunscreen~" Jihyo rubbed her shoulder against Tzuyu's.
"Back only."
"Fine. I'll be back you two." Jihyo said to you both as Chaeyoung and you nodded and watched the two go to the nearest chaise lounge.
"This will be good." You said as Chaeyoung looked at you. "Hopefully."
Chaeyoung hummed.
"It will be."
-----------------
It wasn't long before Jihyo got into the pool herself after sitting with you and Chaeyoung for a bit as she asked Chaeyoung for a race as Chaeyoung thought about it for a few seconds before you told her you'd be good.
You adjusted to the water with practiced ease, looking over at Chaeyoung and Jihyo who were swimming through the deeper waters, laughing and splashing one another as they kicked their way across the pool.
You smiled, letting their laugher and the closeness of their voices distract you from your anxiety as you scooted over and up and stepped down slowly along the shallow end of the pool, one hand on the edge of the pool and the other shifting along the surface of the water.
You turned to Tzuyu laying on a chaise lounge working on her tan, sunglasses on with headphones in while her arms rested on her sides with her fingers tapping on the chair.
Chou Tzuyu: a silent, sophisticated and sharp type of girl that made people turn their heads at her model-like features. She was a girl with few words to say and was quiet, but she wasn't distinct as she participated in lots of your group activities, much to her seeming like she didn't want to do anything with anyone. Even for years, it was very small talk as Tzuyu was direct to the point.
And being around her and noticing everyone around her either staring or checking her out was interesting, to say the least.
I mean come on, with her perfect visuals, stunning body, and now a few feet away from you in a bikini...good lord...too bad for all the males that she plays for the other team. and too bad for the ladies that she's taken.
Her girlfriend was one lucky woman and speaking of whom...
Park Jihyo was the opposite of Tzuyu in terms of personality but equal in terms of attractiveness. Energetic, outspoken, driven; she was the 'mother' of the group so to speak: made sure everyone finished their homework and projects, made schedules on tutoring sessions for upcoming tests and quizzes, and even made sure you all were eating well...she was the most responsible of the group and while she can go overboard on the concern side, each of you loved her for her keeping everyone in check.
An odd couple that you didn't think would work yet they seemed to mash well. You notice that either girl was even happier with the other.
You averted your attention to the water being in the middle of your shins and knees.
You trailed your fingertips through the too-blue water and then slowly submerged as your knees buckled for the water to rise up your legs, eventually getting to your knees once more and even more as it went over your knee caps.
Then your eyes stung a bit and your breathing went close in intervals as you hoisted yourself up with the support of the wall, the water droplets going down your legs.
"Relax...relax..." You whispered.
'That wasn't too bad.'
It was strange, how things from your past stayed ingrained within you, muscle memory from a time when you were six causing you to have this panic.
You honestly wanted to beat this, but glimpses of that minute of you being down there swims up to your mind.
It was a pool and you could clearly see the water underneath and yet...you couldn't even go a third of your body.
But what Chaeyoung said was true, little steps and before you couldn't even step into it and now to your knees. That's something right?
"Wow (YN), you did that without me this time. Are you feeling okay?"
The ripples of the water grew and looked right to see Chaeyoung and Jihyo now treading on the water towards you.
You shifted your position with your back against the edge of the pool and with a soft exhale as Chaeyoung looking pleased giving you a hearty smile while Jihyo looking concerned and a frown to boot.
You smiled softly at them both.
"I'm alright...I actually got past the knees." You met Chaeyoung's hazel eyes, catching a hint of confusion across her face at your somber reaction. "Really, I'm fine..."
"Remember what I said (YN), small steps." She repeated yesterday's words as you nodded.
"But don't push yourself okay." Jihyo lowered as you nodded.
"Yeah (YN), it's great that you're trying, but don't try to overwork it without me. Please?" You knew why she said that. After scaring her, you didn't blame her.
"Of course. I'm sorry."
"No worries." Chaeyoung then turned to Jihyo. "Uh, Ji, do you mind getting some water bottles for us?"
Jihyo understood the 'code' that Chaeyoung was asking for, she was too nice to say 'can you give us a minute'.
"Sure." She gave you a smile, thoughtful before turning and wading towards the stairs leading out of the pool and towards the house...until she spotted Tzuyu on her right. She couldn't help but look at her beauty and how hot she was.
Jihyo walked towards her girlfriend and poked her on the shoulder. Tzuyu's head turned towards Jihyo's smile with her hands behind her back now.
"What?" She asked as Jihyo grinned.
"Nothing, admiring the view~" Tzuyu rolled her eyes. "I'm getting drinks, what do you want my Tzundere?"
"Water."
"Water huh? You are looking pretty hot~" Jihyo roamed her eyes down to Tzuyu's slender creamy body, her tummy, hips, her long legs, and the pink bikini articles that Jihyo couldn't help but think naughty-
"Jihyo, stop checking me out."
"You know I can't resist you Tzu~ Especially in this~ And to be honest," Jihyo leaned closer until her head was hovering Tzuyu's, "You're making me hot as well~"
Jihyo smiled as she observed Tzuyu giving a shake of her head and reached out to give Jihyo a playful shove.
"Then get in the pool."
Jihyo smirked.
"I love you too~"
Jihyo turned towards the home as Tzuyu smiled behind her Jihyo's back.
Meanwhile, you and Chaeyoung were back on the stairs and this time, you were on the second set of steps as you felt the water go up and down to your shins and a bit on your behind.
You sighed and turned towards Chaeyoung once they were alone, glancing up at her shyly and smiling softly. "I'm sorry about that, I shouldn't have-"
Chaeyoung shushed you softly, reaching out to touch your arm. "Hey, it's alright. I was nervous that you would...have that again."
You shook your head, glancing away from those bright brown eyes, drifting slowly across the empty pool. "I don't blame you. I saw you two swimming and hanging in the pool and I questioned as to how easy you and the others make it." You told as she shook her head.
"And hopefully it'll be easy for you too (YN), but for now maybe you shouldn't do stuff like that on your own." Chaeyoung's voice was soft, almost too soft, and you looked back up at her.
"Good call."
Chaeyoung chuckled while reaching out to draw you closer, holding your hand resting on the step. "Remember, we're all here for you (YN). I'm here for you."
You sighed softly, letting your steady heartbeat soothe your nerves. "It's crazy how difficult it is...I mean it's just water," you brought your other hand up, cupped with the pool water that leaked out of your hand. "We drink this every day and I can't even stand in it."
Chaeyoung rubbed against your hand and closed your eyes as Chaeyoung soothed you, relaxing into her touch.
When several moments had passed of comfortable silence between them, Chaeyoung stood up and took a step into the water, and met your eyes.
"Do you want to try again?" You tilted your head slightly, watching Chaeyoung's suggestive expression and outreached hands. "This time with me?"
You searched her face up hands and smile alternatively and nodded as you took them.
'I can do this...I can do this.'
After grasping your hands in hers, Chaeyoung nodded and draw you with her through the water to which you came out as she backed towards that spot slowly, searching your eyes.
"I want you to focus on me, okay? Just look at me, trust me to keep you safe. Don't think about where your feet are or what we are doing. Just keep your eyes on me, okay?"
You nodded, pushing down your fear and letting your feet lift up off of the steps of the pool, Chaeyoung treading water as she pulled you up and guiding you further towards where you were a minute ago.
"Keep a hand on the corner of the wall as well, so that you can feel the ground still and push yourself up when needed." You nodded and taking her instructions, you let go of the left hand and placed it on the edge of the pool.
Tzuyu, on the side, was watching the two as she stared at you treading alongside the edge. While she didn't show it, she did feel for you having to endure this, she was afraid of spiders herself and she freaked out whenever she saw one.
And to see you treading across your said fear, she was rooting for you as well.
"Hey," Tzuyu heard her girlfriend's voice behind her and turned to Jihyo holding four bottles of water. Three in one arm held against her and one in her other hand, outstretched to Tzuyu as Tzuyu took it.
"Thanks."
"Sure...is s/he okay?" Jihyo asked Tzuyu as they both turned to you and Chaeyoung.
"That's it (YN), you're doing great," Chaeyoung spoke as inch by inch, took you closer as you stared right at Chaeyoung's expressive eyes.
"Well, s/he looks good," Tzuyu answered back as Jihyo laid down the bottles and watched the two now.
"I'm worried that she's pushing her/him." Jihyo voiced in a motherly fashion, as Tzuyu shrugged.
"Okay, now that we're here, I want you to kneel slowly alright? And look at me when you do so."
Nudge by nudge, you felt the water rise up your legs and could feel the change in temperature as the bottom of the pool fell away, holding onto Chaeyoung's hands tighter as she kept her eyes locked, coaxing you along with her with soft words and gentle tugs until your kneecaps felt nothing but cold.
By now you felt the water rising up your body as Jihyo and Tzuyu watched intently at your face side.
"That's it, that's it. Easy (YN). You're doing amazing."
"I think that's good Chae," Jihyo spoke up, but neither you nor Chaeyoung listened. Chaeyoung because she was intending on helping you and you...well...
Cold, deep water.
Distinctively colder than the warmth of the shallows.
Cold enough that it sends fear singing like lightning up your spine.
Your breath hitched, trying to focus on the girl in front of you, trying not to think about the images inside your mind.
Dark water, muddled into the mossy green with algae and only the light rays above as you fought against the weight of those depths, pulling you slowly, tugging your body down.
You froze up completely, fear flashing wildly across your face.
At that moment you weren't in the pool with Chaeyoung.
You were back at the beach.
Chaeyoung instantly knew something was wrong, instantly stopping and pushing you quickly towards the edge of the pool, your view straight at Jihyo and Tzuyu.
You took deep breaths as your nails scratched across the stone side of the pool.
"(YN)?!" Jihyo speed-walked to you as Tzuyu was about to get up as well, but both stopped as Chaeyoung's hand went up and shook.
Much to Jihyo's instincts to aid you, she followed Chaeyoung's request for now and stood in place, ready to assist if needed as Tzuyu was sat up on the lounge.
"Easy, you're alright. Just look forward on the ground." Chaeyoung's voice pierced your thoughts and without looking, you nodded at her instructions, letting out a shuddering exhale.
"Sorry..." You let out that simple word as Chaeyoung rubbed your back.
"It's okay, it's okay." Chaeyoung sprung into action. "Shh, you're safe now. I'm sorry. You're on the ground now," Chaeyoung repeated several times and positioned herself and drew her closer to you so she was leaning against your body close and snugged like with her left hand on your right arm resting as Chaeyoung played with your hair with her left to soothe you.
"I've got you. You're safe. But you've gotta breathe with me." She took a deep breath and slowly let it out.
You followed suit and Chaeyoung took it as a sign that you were on the right track for being better. Feeling her words and hands, you kept breathing and Chaeyoung, with every few breaths, offered encouragement.
"Yeah, (YN). Like that. Breathe in with me. Good. Now out. Now in again..."
It felt like forever, but your rapid gasps for air slowed to deeper, though still shaky, breaths.
Chaeyoung pulled her crush closer. "Good, good, just relax," she repeatedly murmured as your breath continued its gradual evening out.
However, Chaeyoung wasn't faring any better; she still had her arms around you, keeping you tight against her and holding your hand.
But she shouldn't be hugging you.
She caused this again because of what she did suggest.
It didn't sit well for Chaeyoung and while you didn't look nearly as bad as the first day with you cowering and hurdled up, it affected her greatly.
You have gotten way better about being in the water that yesterday you actually stood in the water up to your shins. She even saw your smile as your eyes were closed and you even felt comfortable.
It was her fault that you were going through this.
It was her fault you we-
"I didn't mean to panic." Chaeyoung got out of her mind when hearing your voice. "Don't feel bad." You spoke up, making her feel the opposite and stopping in her tracks.
Chaeyoung was about to say something, but Jihyo kneeled down in front of you and placed a hand on your shoulder.
"You okay?" She asked in a mother-like tone as you nodded. "Ahh (YN), what did I just say? Pushing like this isn't gonna help." She added slowly and quietly.
You glanced down left and then back up at her disquieted appearance.
"I-I know Jihyo, but...honestly that wasn't as bad as before."
Jihyo exhaled frustration through her nose and trust everyone in the group, you DO NOT want to make Jihyo mad.
Jihyo turned to Chaeyoung as she was looking back at Jihyo. "Chae, you should know better." This time her tone was sharp as Chaeyoung felt a kick in her guts from that and her expression told it.
"Jihyo, it's fine, I wanted to do this with her." Chaeyoung turned her head to your side, "She's trying to help me that's all. Please don't get upset at her."
One look at you and Chaeyoung deflated look and Jihyo's knew it wasn't something to get frustrated about, but if this kept up, she had a few words for you.
You saw her eyes shift from tight to soft and her lips downward just slightly.
The poor girl was trying to aid her crush and Jihyo knew that she was doing whatever it took to do that.
Hell, Jihyo would do the same for her Tzuyu.
She turned back to her girlfriend sitting upright with her sunglasses off and staring at the three of them and then returned her attention to Chaeyoung.
'I guess that what love does to you.'
"...I'm sorry Chae, I didn't mean to say that." Chaeyoung looked towards Jihyo's sympathetic look. She knew where Jihyo was coming from when saying that, "...just...please (YN), none of us don't want to see you like that...after hearing about you, even in the shallow, I'm worried about you." Her demeanor turned 180 as you nodded.
"Thank you Jihyo. But with you, Chae," without thinking, you raised and placed an arm on Chaeyoung's shoulder as Chaeyoung smiled at your hand, "Tzuyu and the others," you looked at Chaeyoung, "don't worry about me, I know you girls are there for me, but trust me, I need to do this." Your words seemed to bounce of Jihyo as she gave a few seconds to gauge your answer.
"...Alright. And (YN), don't do that on your own again. We're all willing to help you out." Jihyo added as you and Chaeyoung smiled at that statement.
Of course, each person in your ten friend group would rather hang with their partner more than any other, but that didn't mean that the other eight were anything less.
"Is everything okay?" The three turned to Tzuyu still sitting up on the lounge. The other nine knew that Tzuyu doesn't show her emotions, but they also knew she cared for everyone else as well...mentally that is.
"I'm good Tzu, thank you." She nodded as you treaded to the left towards and up the stairs as the three stared at you, "if you don't mind, I'm gonna sit on a lounge for a minute."
Jihyo stood up from her spot and walked towards your side, intercepting you and making you halt in place as Jihyo was mere inches from you with a stale look.
"(YN), I didn't mean to get tensed, but I do mean what I said...especially Chae."
"I know, I'm sorry too." She nodded, "thank you Jihyo." She smiled and patted your back as you went on your way towards and past Tzuyu as she followed you with her vision.
Jihyo went back to Chaeyoung as she mirrored Tzuyu's actions as you sat down on a lounge that was about 10 feet from Tzuyu, your back towards the three. It wasn't a great sign for the three girls there as they were left with concerning thoughts, but figured it was best to have your own bubble for now.
SWISH
Jihyo gently got into the pool with Chaeyoung, now slightly regretting what she said to the poor girl.
"Chae."
Chaeyoung averted her sight from you to Jihyo inches from her as well. It wasn't long till she dropped her gaze to the ripples caused by Jihyo.
"I just wanted to help..."
Even though her frustration took her a bit, Jihyo felt a tang of regret for her choice of words.
"Cha-"
"Guess whose hereee~"
Each one of them, Tzuyu aside, turned to hear Momo and saw her and Nayeon coming out of the backdoor.
Both adorned with a towel over their necks with Momo having sunglasses on. Just like Jihyo and Tzuyu, they changed inside and came out wearing some fashionable bikinis.
Momo had on a black two-piece twist front bikini (and she made sure she wore it well) and Nayeon with a sky blue halter tankini set with drawstring sides at her bottom.
Nayeon and Momo looked around and noticed Tzuyu lying down on a lounge not far from the edge of the pool, both Chaeyoung and Jihyo near the edge of the pool  and you a bit further away to their left also on a lounge, sitting with your hands held together.
They took a few seconds to glance at you, but no movement from you as they went forward towards Jihyo and Chaeyoung.
"Hey Tzu, looking good~" Momo pulled her sunglasses down and winked  as she passed Tzuyu who looked back in response.
"Hey, that's my girl Momo," Jihyo turned hearing Momo's compliment to her girlfriend as Momo chuckled.
"Hehe~ Relax Ji, I think we all know that." Momo teased and smirked behind her sunglasses upon getting closer as Jihyo pouted.
"Uh, is s/he okay?" Nayeon asked the two of them as Jihyo and Chaeyoung looked at one another.
"S/He...didn't fare well while being in here." Jihyo only needed to say those words as the two understood. "It was literally about a minute ago."
Both girls looked over at you, each feeling their emotions drop slightly at your posture.
"I'm gonna go say hi for a bit," Nayeon spoke up, not wasting time for an answer as she turned on her heels.
Chaeyoung's eyes trailed after Nayeon's approach to you as she figured it to comfort you.
"Hey (YN)~"
You looked to the right and up at Nayeon leaning down.
Tumblr media
"Hey, Nay."
"Mind if I sit?" She asked as you nodded while making some room for her as she sat down on your left.
Im Nayeon was an interesting character that was a mix of Tzuyu and Chaeyoung. Pretty diva-like, sarcastic, and sassy most times to others, especially to her girlfriend Jeongyeon, but was a hyperactive and positive bundle of fun who was pretty energetic and brings life to the group.
Yoo Jeongyeon, Nayeon's girlfriend, was a mix of Nayeon, Jihyo, and Tzuyu. She was a mirror of Tzuyu's and Jihyo's behavior but not as upkeep or silent as both, probably the third mature one of the group behind them. And while she wasn't as hyperactive as Nayeon, she was there to have fun with the group or girlfriend as well.
It was out of the left field when Nayeon asked Jeongyeon out. She almost wasn't going to go out with Nayeon, but after her constant asking, Jeongyeon accepted and quite enjoyed it, even if she doesn't show it often.
Meanwhile, Momo was already sitting on the edge of the water with her feet submerged in the cool liquid.
"Ahh~ now that's soothing." She waved her feet around and cupped some water with her hands and poured it over her thighs.
Hirai Momo was...well...the opposite of Jihyo. Laidback, easy-going and the definition of her lifestyle was casual. She'd take any opportunity to take a break from work or school and live life to the fullest with fun each day.
She and Dahyun were the perfect match as Dahyun, while having a slight responsible side, fun was always on her mind and the two, besides you and Chae, had the most of that together.
"With today's heat, I don't blame you," Jihyo spoke up while descending into the pool, settling down with the water rising to her waist.
"So what happened?" Momo asked as Jihyo scooted closer, placing her arms on the edge of the pool.
"As I said, s/he tried to get down like I am now. Didn't work so well." Jihyo turned to Chaeyoung keeping her sight on you and Nayeon. "Chae?" Chaeyoung turned her head and the other two ladies saw her expression to be somber. "What did (YN) mean when s/he said 'as bad as before'? Did something happened prior to this?"
Chaeyoung pursed her lips.
"..."
She didn't say anything and that confirmed Jihyo's statement.
"S/he had a panic attack didn't he?" Momo spoke up.
Chaeyoung merely nodded but was stunned that Momo was the one to guess it.
"Figures, my sister has claustrophobia, confined spaces and all. I remembered we were in an elevator and suddenly everything went black since the power went out and...well she couldn't take it and I remember every second of our parents trying to get her to calm down. I guess (YN) had one with the water?"
Chaeyoung and Jihyo heard Momo's memory and the younger of the three sighed and nodded.
"It was literally last week when you girls learned that (YN) had her/his fear. Minutes before Sana and Mina arrived."
"Wait? S/He had it that day?" Jihyo spoke up.
"Yeah...you have no idea how much it terrified me to see her/him like that." Chaeyoung looked towards your back, memories flooded of you on the cold ground, literally feet away from  where the three girls were conversing, "s/he was holding her/himself, mumbling and freaking out, and...it tore me watching her/him like that." Chaeyoung clenched her fists to remember how heartbroken she felt.
"So that's why. I'm so sorry Chae."Jihyo apologized as Chaeyoung nodded at no one in particular. If Jihyo had seen Tzuyu in trouble like that, she would have done anything to help her as well.
"That's exactly how my sister was too. I'm sorry for you seeing that Chae, I know how scared I was as well." Momo added to aid in Chaeyoung and while she appreciated the support, the damage was done.
"That's why I want to help her/him first. I don't ever want to see that again." Chaeyoung's tone was determined, yet lacking at the same time as both Jihyo and Momo gave a faint smile, but Jihyo...
"I know what you mean Chae, but you have to be careful with her/him, really. I don't know the extent of how bad her/his fear is, but from what I saw we shouldn't pressure her/him on doing this so swiftly," Chaeyoung sighed through her nose. "I know you want to help her/him, we all do." Momo nodded in confirmation, "but let's take things nice and slow alright." Her words echoed into Chaeyoung's brain.
"...yeah. S/He was doing so well yesterday so I thought that-...no, you're right. I'm sorry." Chaeyoung felt her spirit go down as Jihyo rose up just slightly and patted her arm to relax her.
Momo figured it was time for a change of conversation.
"So...seeing as how you're the captain. What can we do to help Chae?" Momo asked, having Chaeyoung looking at her.
"Uh, I guess what I've been doing with her/him. It was walking along the edge to get comfortable in here."
"Cool. You mind if I do that?" Momo asked as Chaeyoung knew that they wanted to aid you as well.
"Sure, go ahead."
"Sweet~ Thanks Chae, and don't worry, Nayeon's probably cheering her/him up already." The three turned their head towards you and Nayeon's side of their faces, you had a smile on as Chaeyoung was delighted to see that. "And I'll take really good care of your boyfriend~"
Chaeyoung stiffened in place and turned her head in lightspeed at Momo smirking at her.
"M-Momo...not so loud..." Chaeyoung's poor flustered tone made Momo laugh as Jihyo simply shook her head. "And speaking of (YN)~ Hey (YN)." She waved towards her left, causing Chaeyoung and Jihyo to see Nayeon and you coming back with held hands.
Chaeyoung noticed and it didn't have any affect on her, knowing Nayeon's love for Jeongyeon.
"Hey Momo." You said with a slightly less enthusiasm than you had before and it made Chaeyoung feel a bit down.
"So, I hope you girls don't mind, but I'm gonna work with (YN) for a bit~" Nayeon grinned at you as you nodded.
Both Jihyo and Momo turned to Chaeyoung as she nodded.
"Sure, go ahead." Chaeyoung was going to let this be anyway.
"Sweet, alright (YN), you ready?"
"Right now?" Jihyo asked as you nodded.
"I only needed a minute." You answered as Nayeon slowly pulled you towards the stairs.
"Alright, well, guess we'll leave you be. Momo, Chae and I were doing some laps, want to join?" Jihyo asked as Momo grinned.
"Let's do it~"

TIMESKIP - 8:42 PM
Chaeyoung was on her bed binge watching My Hero Academia
you would have been here, but after saying you needed to rest for a bit, Chaeyoung understood not from fatique but from mentality and she didn't blame you.
But still, after your slight panic, Chaeyoung observed you doing well with the others girls: Nayeon with walking about, Momo with some small squats, Jihyo on the stairs and even Tzuyu was on the poolside with you chatting as you were walking around for a bit, a bit uncharacteristic of her, but the girls knew that she felt for you too.
Mina did arrive later wearing a lavander ruffle high bikini top with spaghetti straps with a ruffle skirt to match. She came dressed to impress and if Sana was here...she'd probably die, heck even you took a peek here and there...with every girl...well can you blame yourself?
After Mina's turn to help you, the seven of you stayed till around six where Tzuyu and Jihyo both left and thirty mins after watching a movie and playing card games inside, everyone except you left.
After hanging out till eight, you left as well, leaving Chaeyoung now in her bed, watching anime alone and eating strawberries at the side. She was a bit tired and was glad to have a bit of relaxing.
.
.
KNOCK KNOCK
Chaeyoung paused her video.
"Come in."
The door opened to reveal her father with a plate.
"Hey sweetie, would you like a sandwich? I made a couple for me."
Chaeyoung smiled and nodded.
"Yeah I'll take one, thanks dad." He nodded and brought the plate towards her as Chaeyoung sat up and took the plate. The sandwich wasn't anything special, but she could eat it with her strawberries.
"So, how's it going with (YN)?" He asked as Chaeyoung nodded.
"He's getting there. He managed to get just over her/his knees before he...well," Chaeyoung shrugged.
"Freaked out?" He finished as Chaeyoung nodded again. "Well, I guess it's progress." Chaeyoung took a bite of her sandwich and gulped the bread and turkey ham down.
"How'd you do it dad? Your fear of the dark? I'm doing what you grandpa did but it doesn't seem to be working."
Her dad gave a sympathetic smile.
"Well Chae, just because it worked for me, doesn't mean it's gonna work for everyone." Chaeyoung's shoulders feel, "and it's only been a week sweetie, like your mother and I said, it could take quite some time for (YN) to be okay."
"..."
"I have to ask, last week, when you said that s/he got hurt, did you mean a 'panic attack'?" He asked as Chaeyoung nodded slowly and he saw her daughter's expression drop, "I figured...it must have gotten to you as much as her/him." Chaeyoung nodded.
"Which is why I want to do this dad, I know it's not gonna be simple, but...I want to help (YN) get over this fear."
Her dad smiled knowing that, while that's her reason to help, he knew his daughter has a major crush on you. It was obvious to them and they didn't mind if you and her dated, you both already seemed to be the perfect couple and they couldn't ask for anyone better.
"I understand Chae. You know, when dad and I were in the basement, he said to me, "change the way you look at things and the things you look at change" and he showed me that the dark, rather than scary, can actually be a fun show, hence the shadow puppets with our hands that I told you and I remember him making crafts from paper to put on a show or tell me stories for me with a flashlight; the dinosaurs were my favorite. Having the mighty T-rex battle whatever dinosaur came to challenge him." He brought his hands up and pretended to clash them as if he was holding the dinosaurs themselves.
Chaeyoung gave a smile at his memory.
"Heh, well, anyway, I don't really know what you and (YN) can do in the water, but perhaps theres something you can do along what my dad said rather than just sitting there."
Chaeyoung lowered her gaze, hummed, and nodded.
"So...some show or movie about water?"
Her dad shrugged.
"Could be a start." Chaeyoung nodded slowly.
"I see. Thanks dad, I'll think about it."
"I'm sure you will. Well, I'll leave you about it then," Chaeyoung nodded as he turned towards the door and just as he was about to leave, "and sweetie," she turned to her father, "your mom and I are happy that you're aiding (YN). He's lucky to have you as a friend."
Chaeyoung shook her head.
"We're looking out for each other dad. He's done the same for me and more." Her dad smiled and nodded.
"We know. Alright, well, don't forget to return the plate. Night Chae."
"I won't, night dad." With a final nod, her dad closed the door as Chaeyoung averted her sight to her phone and tapped the screen once to reveal her and you on the homescreen with her hugging behind you and both smiling at the phone.
"I'm lucky to have her/him too..." She muttered as Chaeyoung took another bite of her sandwich and went to googling what she can do.
.
.
.
About tenish minutes went by and Chaeyoung had no luck in what she can do what her dad said and just when she was going to ask the group of what to do, something came to her mind.
"Changing the way s/he looks at water...maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way. S/He can't get into the water like dad with the dark...so I wonder if only there's a way s/he can be in the water without being IN the water...that sounds ridiculous. How do I make her/him see that the water isn't all that scary..." Chaeyoung thought that it was impossible for- "Wait."
Chaeyoung got her phone and googled a certain word and sat up.
"Huh...hmm, this might work." She clicked on a website and started to read the main page, "It's open on the weekend...can this work?" She smiled, "I think it might."
So with a quick read on the times, she texted the group, hopefully they weren't all asleep, and then you individually.
------------------------------------------------
TIMESKIP - NEXT DAY - 9:23 AM
"Jesus Jihyo, can you drive any slower?" Nayeon complained.
"I'm following the speed limit." Jihyo calmly spoke up taking a left.
"You could learn from her Nayeon." Jeongyeon grinned at her girlfriend as Nayeon huffed and poked the side of Jeongyeon's torso.
"Jeongie, I swear you are never on my side." Nayeon pouted as Jeongyeon chuckled.
"So...how long till we get there?" You asked.
"About six minutes," Chaeyoung answered on your left as you nodded. "Trust me (YN), we'll enjoy it." Chaeyoung seemed chippier than usual and you took it as a sign for you to not bring this down.
"I hope so, it is my first time."
"You're not alone, all of us but Dahyun and Momo haven't been there," Jihyo spoke up. "They went on a date there a couple of months back."
The group was heading towards an aquarium.
A building filled with fish, animals, and...water.
Chaeyoung figured that since you were afraid of water, she'd bring you here to have you be NEAR water without being IN the water. So she typed in a place that fit the description: aquarium.
A zoo-like location where cute animals and sea creatures are taken care of and showcased.
Chaeyoung hoped that this will show that water isn't all that scary to be, especially with how cool some of these exhibits and animals are...she hoped.
It was a long shot, but if it could help you in the slightest, Chaeyoung will do whatever it took.
After calling each girl, excluding you, and telling them of her plan, they were a bit hesitant of you being there, but she assured that you'll be fine. It wasn't like taking a dive into a pool or anything, just lots of tanks of water.
They all eventually agreed to it and planned to go in two days on Sunday since most were going to work either morning or afternoon on Saturday, yesterday.
After calling you, you agreed to it after a few minutes of thinking.
You'd never been in one, and it was no wonder.
You were, in all things, anxious and startled. More water in one place than could fill a pool reduced you to a nervous wreck, but you weren't going to let them know.
At least this water would be confined to tanks, but still, you didn't trust it.
All that water just behind inches of glass...you were practically getting goosebumps just thinking about it and you were still standing at the front of the entrance.
You weren't exactly sure how it was going to help, but aquariums had lots of water involved so maybe it'll help, maybe not, but you if Chaeyoung thought it would help then so be it, plus it was a great hangout for all you ten to be in so why not.
So with no one declining, except to make sure that you would be okay, the ten of you agreed to go and after another day of training in the pool with Chaeyoung and the rest, besides Nayeon, Momo, and Tzuyu this time and spending some quality time with Chaeyoung at her place, it was the day to go and you went early today.
The ten of you took two separate cars with Jihyo taking hers with Tzuyu, Jeongyeon, Nayeon, Chaeyoung, and you while Mina drove hers with Sana, Momo, and Dahyun.
You wondered how Mina was fairing with those three in her car.
You turned to your right as Tzuyu was staring forward until she noticed you and turned her head as well.
"Doing good?" You asked as she nodded.
"Yeah, you?"
"Good, thanks." She nodded and turned her head to the scenery outside as you chuckled mentally.
'Yeah, short conversations are her style.'
---------------------------------
SEVEN MINUTES LATER
SLAM SHUT SLAM SHUT
Four doors were shut in succession as you six stepped out of the car and onto the parking lot of the large aquarium.
"We finally found a parking spot. Thank god." Jihyo chimed as the parking lot was close to full.
"This place is huge." Nayeon used her hand to cover the sun from looking at the building.
"Well, there are lots of habitats and creatures here. Even a small whale is being shown." Jeongyeon tugging at her long-sleeve blood-red top to flatten it out over her blue jeans.
Nayeon was wearing a similar top with a deeper v-neck with black ripped jeans.
Jihyo with black patterned blouse and shorts while both Chaeyoung and Tzuyu wore a design white v-neck with old-fashioned jeans.
You wore a white short sleeve shirt with an unzipped coal-black hoodie over and, like Nayeon, black ripped jeans as well.
"There's a whale here?" Nayeon asked as Jeongyeon nodded. "Jesus..."
They all walked towards the entrance and decided to wait for the others by the doors.
"Okay, Sana texted they're about a minute away. (YN), we'll all be around you alright? If at any point you need to back out, we'd understand." Jihyo spoke up for the group as some nodded in unison.
Being in the spotlight, you were a bit embarrassed, but not as a week ago, and you nodded to Jihyo's advice.
"Don't worry Jihyo, I'll be fine, but thank you, all of you." You muttered, face turning red as each nodded.
Chaeyoung stood by you and smiled upwards.
"And here they are," Jeongyeon spoke up.
Over your shoulder, they could see the other four approaching around the parked cars in the lot of the aquarium.
Mina, in a heavy jacket and jeans, was nodding her head.
Sana, who was in a similar fashion, was poking the sides of Mina while holding her phone, and Momo and Dahyun, in holding hands, skipped towards you six with Dahyun in a sky blue top with shorts and Momo in a pure purple shirt with sweat pants, looking perky as ever.
Sana released Mina and took a deep breath.
"Okay! So we're going to see the baby beluga! Then the seals! Then we'll look at the otters! Then we'll see the little turtles! Then the dolphins! Oooh! I want to pet a dolphin! Then the stingrays...Mina!? Are you excited!?" Sana exclaimed tugging at Mina's jacket as her girlfriend nodded.
"Yes Sana, I am very much excited." Mina smiled at her girlfriend as Sana giggled and grabbed her hand and pulled her to go quickly as Mina sighed looking forward while your group was amused at her behavior.
"Guess being with those three took a toll on her," Jihyo said as the other started to wave at your group.
"Hey, guys~" Momo held Dahyun's left arm as the four got closer to them.
Waves of hello's happened as they formed a circle outside the doors.
"Guess it's pretty packed." Dahyun looked back at the cars, "and this place is huge!!!" she raised her free arm and waved at the building.
"So we all ready?" Jihyo asked the group as they nodded.
"Mina!!!" Sana brought her phone in front of her eyes, "they brought in penguins last week!"
Mina's eyes widened as she saw a pic of a penguin on Sana's phone.
"Aren't they so-"
Mina grabbed Sana's arm and pulled her forward with a strength Sana didn't know she had.
"H-hey Mi-"
"Line. Now." Mina spoke with enthusiasm as the others laughed or smiled at Mian's newfound passion.
"Well, let's follow them," Chaeyoung spoke for the group as they all were ready to have a nice time.
----------------------------------------------------
TIMESKIP
10 MINUTES
The entrance line was unexpectedly packed with people who are also seeking tickets to enter, but the girls didn't mind waiting in line as they chatted among each other or their individual partners.
Each one paid for their ticket as everyone heads out the lobby and inside the somewhat linear building, some of the girls were giddy like a kid on a school trip, and others feeling like the parents of the group.
You however could already see water tanks all around and while it wasn't scaring you to death like the pool, you pushed those negative thoughts aside.
"Stick close to me, I don't want us to get separated," Chaeyoung whispers right against your ear as she takes your hand, and she feels you tighten your grip around hers.
"Yeah, thanks."
"Everything will be fun, don't worry." She said as you nodded.
'I don't want to ruin this day for the others.'
There are more couples around them, families with little kids, groups of friends, and other people who were just as stranded as they were, navigating the wide hall that served as the lobby of common marine ecology and what you'd expect to find.
Behind the stretch of reinforced glass on either side of them were mini-ecosystems with common aqua life that seemed to be taken from slices off the ocean floor, which gives off the feeling of being in a tunnel at the bottom of the sea.
A few children run past, excited to get to the other end of the lobby where the rest of the aquarium starts.
You stared at the kids as you sighed mentally.
'Even kids are excited. And here I am needing a guiding hand.'
Pictures of whales, dolphins, random fish, and other creatures adorned the blue walls.
Dark blue wave designs wound their way past glass tanks and doors, taking everything in as you walked by tanks of all kinds of fishes and reading each information as you ten stopped to read each panel.
Chaeyoung took note of you more than the fishes or tanks as she was gauging your expression: all normal as they conversed among each tank.
Getting further in, there was a large circular room with ocean-themed decorations and there were spectators jostled around in a circle.
"Oh, this is where you pet the stingrays!" Sana exclaimed upfront as she pulled Mina with Dahyun and Momo following close by.
"Aren't they dangerous?" You asked as Chaeyoung shook her head.
"They're harmless creatures, unless they're in trouble, they won't do anything." She answered as you nodded.
Upon getting closer, there was a platform that went up to waist high and in it was a shallow, maybe a foot, of water with sand, rocks, and coral to resemble a beach-like location with see-through walls to keep the water in for the surrounding of the pool.
Finding a spot where some of your group can join in, you saw plentiful stingrays.
The grey, flat, roundish shape creatures were circling the tank while moving in a wavy motion that propels them through the water. Having broad fins that run the full length of their bodies, it looked like they were hovering or flying through the water.
"They're cute~" Sana, like a child, jumped in place as Mina relaxed her.
"So we just pet them?" Jeongyeong asked.
"Yeah, like the others are doing." Nayeon pointed out.
"Do we wait for someone?" You asked, bringing Chaeyoung's attention to you.
"I don't think so," Chaeyoung answered as each girl and you figured to do what other kids and teens were doing. You all placed your hand over the rays and using two fingers, you brought it over the rays, as over half the girls retracted upon feeling the top of the stingrays.
"Oh..."
"Uh..."
"Ahh!" Sana yelped and brought her hand back as Mina laughed at her.
"Uh, they feel rough." Jeongyeon groaned.
"That's what she said~" Dahyun leaned forward and pointed and winked at Jeongyeon as most rolled their eyes and Jeongyeon sighed in response.
"Hehehe~" Momo giggled at Dahyun's joke along with Dahyun herself.
"You two are literally made for each other." Jihyo shook her head as Momo hugged Dahyun's arm.
"And I'm lucky we are~" Momo taunted as Dahyun turned, smiled at her and the two shared a quick peck on the lips as they turned back to the rays.
Chaeyoung, being on Momo's left, gave a soft smile at the interaction.
'That could be (YN) and I...'
"It's like sandpaper covered with goo or something," you explained as your fingers glided across the rays as they swam by.
"Yeah, that describes it." Chaeyoung agreed with you.
Both Dahyun and Momo were feeling as many as they could, smiles plastered on their faces, as Jeongyeon told them to be careful.
"This feels weird," Nayeon noted as some nodded.
"I thought they are smooth," Sana spoke up.
"Guess not," Mina said as she took a step back, feeling enough of the fish.
"That's it then?" Tzuyu took a step back as well as most nodded, feeling content.
"Yeah, let's continue," Jihyo commanded the group as they continued forward with Sana, Dahyun, and Momo waving bye at the rays.
--------------------------------------------
The group walked past booths and exhibits about ocean life, the environment, and small displays of sea creatures as you ten ventured deeper into the aquarium. They take a slow stroll past each exhibit, still holding hands and reading the descriptions, and trying to match them to the brightly colored fish.
You passed tanks filled with smaller creatures such as jellyfish, tropical fish of all colors and sizes, eels, turtles, and even sea horses. You held hands with Chaeyoung the whole time as you ten were in a line of some sort traversing through the place in five pairs.
"Oooh!"
The two couples in the back and front turned to the couple in the middle with mild looks on their faces.
Sana had gasped, brought her hands up to her face, and was looking ahead of her with childlike fascination. And in a moment that got all eight's attention, she turned to Mina, speaking adamantly.
"Ahh! MINA! The otters are next!" Mina saw other poeple turn as Mina patted Sana's back.
"Sana sweetie, relax."
"Hey, you'd be the same when the penguins are next." Sana teased and tapped Mina's slim torso as Mina huffed.
"She's right you know." Dahyun agreed as Momo nodded.
"Sigh...I know." Mina muttered as the girls smiled at Sana's enthusiasm and Mina's mellowed tone.
Chaeyoung then turned to you as you shrugged and gave a smile to her as Chaeyoung smiled back.
"How are you doing?" She asked as you nodded.
"Good, not as good as Sana though." You joked as Chaeyoung chuckled.
"Hehe, yeah, she's pretty excited...but how about you being around..." She waved her other hand and gestured it to the tanks as you looked at one with several catfishes in it.
"I mean, it's not really bothering me, but there were small thoughts about this." Your hand was squeezed slightly for Chaeyoung to show her support.
"Well, I'm right here with you okay." She stated as you nodded at her. "And if you want to leave, we could wait in the lobby."
"No, it's okay, I'll be fine. Just, be with me alright?" You asked as Chaeyoung hummed.
"As if I would leave you (YN)." She responded and while that was a more direct answer, you smiled and nodded at her. "But are you having fun at least?" She asked.
"Oh yeah, I'm having fun, hanging out with everyone here. Plus the animals are pretty cool to see and learn about." Chaeyoung nodded. That was what she hoped for.
You and Chaeyoung kept a steady pace as you walked alongside her and suddenly Sana pointed at a room ahead of them.
The pathway, bordered by various tanks and signs with information on aquatic wildlife, led up and around a large circular room with a large pool surrounded by a thick glass wall as quite a few people, like the stingrays, were pressed against the glass.
Sana, Dahyun, Momo threw themselves against an opening for them on the glass wall, resting their chins on the cold water as they stared down at the otters.
In everyone's eyes, was pure adoring bliss.
"Aren't they adorable, (YN)?" You nodded as you cautiously walked up to the glass as Chaeyoung walked closer with you as well. "Look at them all swimming around and having fun."
Tumblr media
With her other hand, Chaeyoung pressed her hand against the glass wall.
The otters glided across the water like nothing as they twirled amongst each other and you even smiled at the interactions.
'They are having a lot of fun...swimming is relaxing to them.'
...then...
"Look! Look! They're looking at us!"
Nayeon was right as a couple of them went towards your group.
Tumblr media
Where the otters had been blissfully ignorant to the people's presence around them, now they were all looking in the direction of you and Chaeyoung.
The former's brow furrowed.
One seal, in particular, seemed to be looking right at you. Right into your eyes as you focused back.
The otter was, without a doubt, staring directly at you.
You expected it to be a passing gaze; a momentary glance, but no.
The otter continued to stare deep into your eyes. Each of your friends glanced at you as they saw your other hand rising on the glass wall.
You could hear the crowds murmuring as the otter looked at your hand.
"That's so cute~" Sana spoke up.
Chaeyoung gave a large smile at the scene and then she saw your expression.
A smile was on yours as well and Chaeyoung's instantly felt glee uprising in herself, she hadn't seen you smile when you were around the pool water.
Well, she has, but due to her jokes and talks.
This one, this one was on your own.
The otter then, swam away, having you lower your hand as you watched a couple of others join the one that was with you.
"That was awesome (YN)." Chaeyoung hummed as you kept your eyes on the otter.
"Yeah, it was." The girls on your right smiled at your smile as well.
As you ten continued to stare, your thoughts frayed to your early childhood, before the incident as you remembered playing in kiddie pools and the tub full of water.
Believe it or not, you loved the water before the beach incident.
Something about being in the cool liquid was soothing when you wanted and fun when it needed to be.
 'That's how fun I remembered I had...'
--------------------------------------------------
TIMESKIP - TWO HOURS LATER
It's been just over a couple of hours and the day progressed much as you'd expected it to.
There was a lot of herding.
A lot of standing.
A lot of moving slowly from one area to the next.
A lot of trying to find Momo and Dahyun from running excitedly towards anything that moved with Jihyo and Jeongyeon watching over them and Sana kept sneaking off to do something as Mina was caretaker for her.
Still, it did gave you a bit of fun to see the others enjoying themselves and to be honest, you had fun as well.
There was an area that took your group through the rain forests of South America, where you ten encountered a fourteen-foot anaconda, piranhas, caiman, desert insects, tree boas, electric eels, tree frogs and some giant Amazon creatures that you ten didn't think you'd ever seen.
Another area where it went through the deepest depth of the ocean and it was pitch dark that even Dahyun was scared to come in. It was to represent their world with little to no light, and no solid boundaries. The water temperatures were close to freezing and it had animals that seemed extraterrestrial in anglerfish and viperfish. Suffice to say, it wasn't one that the girls weren't coming back to anytime.
The Antarctica area was the last place to stop, much to Mina's misery, but luckily for her, it was after this one exhibit that she led the group to.
"Okay so this one is called, "Open Ocean" and it's supposed to be their biggest exhibit yet," Mina spoke as she pointed at the map.
"Biggest? Is that where the whale is?" Nayeon asked behind her as Mina hummed.
"Probably. Just says be amazed by walking alongside the largest sea life here." Mina tapped the description on the paper as Nayeon nodded.
A FEW MOMENTS LATER
"And if I'm right, the guide says that the exhibit is right through...here..."
Mina and Sana stopped as each person behind stopped as well.
"Oh..."
You and Chaeyoung being last stopped as well and your breath hitched.
Tumblr media
You gulped at the minuscule tunnel of water and each girl realized that this was a shark tunnel made for people to simulate they were at the bottom of the ocean and that thought alone caused each girl to either turn back or to the side towards you as you stared down the hall.
Chaeyoung was prepared to aid you if you needed it.
"Is this the only way Mina?" Jihyo said looking at the map as other guests went through the tunnel.
"There's another, but...yeah it's another tunnel it looks like." Mina pointed at the map and Jihyo turned to you.
"(YN)?"
You nodded.
"It'll be fine Jihyo. Besides, I wouldn't mind seeing what they have at the "Open Ocean"." You mustered a smile as the girls glanced at one another.
They wanted to support you, but for some, with this tunnel, they guess you'd be reliving that moment from what you told them.
I mean it literally looks like they were walking under the water.
"Alright let's get to it." Momo's raised her fist and caused the girls to look at her.
"Yeah, I'm eager to see what's at the end." Dahyun joined as you smiled at their agreement right away.
Each girl nodded as they respected your decision, but they would be wary of you.
"Alright then, let's go in." Jihyo spoke for the group as Mina and Sana went inside first, followed by the 2yeon couple, JiTzu and lastly DahMo.
Chaeyoung stepped forward in front of you.
"You sure?" You nodded, "okay, if you feel off, tell me, close your eyes and we'll go straight through okay?" You nodded as Chaeyoung led you through.

Large windows lined one side of the cafe that you and your best friend - Kat - were inside. It was a small place tucked away somewhere in the city, it was your "special place" as you guys called it. It was the one place the two of you could go to and fully relax - somewhere that wasn't your home - you'd come here at least twice a week to talk to one another, to catch up or to even just have some good food that the two of you could share and today was no different.
You and Kat had been looking forward to this lunch date for days, you'd been in desperate need of your friend and you'd been missing her a lot lately. Lunch was the perfect time to catch up, share stories and just enjoy each other's company away from the hustle of daily life.
"You should have seen Matt's face, it was incredible," Kat giggled, she'd just finished telling you about her boyfriend's reaction to her pregnancy news and you were over the moon for her, truly you were but there was something else that had grabbed your attention, commanding you to look away from Kat.
"What's up?" She whispered following your line of sight and landing on Hoseok with his arm wrapped around the shoulder of another girl. Your heart sunk at the sight of them together as you looked down at your hands, you knew who she was. Lisa was one of Hoseok's closest friends and had been for the longest time now.
"They seem...close," Kat said, her voice sounding almost as pissed off as you did but you bit down on your tongue. You knew that Lisa and Hoseok were close but it didn't make it easier for you to understand when they were together like this. Always so close, cuddling or laughing about inside jokes - which neither of them ever shared with you. Sometimes it just made you feel like they were joking about you or that you were being pushed out of the picture. L
You sighed, feeling a knot of jealousy tightening in your chest, you hated getting jealous over something like this but seeing them so close tore you up inside.
"I know they've been friends for a long time, but seeing them like this... it's hard not to feel insecure." Kat knew of your past relationships, boyfriends with "best friends" who turned out to be more, it was only natural for you to be a little unsure of their relationship together. Kat reached out and squeezed your hand.
"I understand, but you should talk to Hoseok about it. Communication is key in any relationship." You nodded reluctantly, you knew that talking to Hoseok would be the right thing to do but you weren't sure he was going to listen to you. Lisa had her claws in pretty deep with him and if she had it her way you wouldn't even be in the picture.
"Yeah, I guess," You mumbled, no longer feeling hungry enough to eat the food in front of you but you did it anyway, trying to come up with a way to talk to Hoseok about everything later.
Tumblr media
As you stepped through the threshold of your shared home, you were met with an unexpected sight. Lisa was just leaving, giggling at something that Hoseok must have said before you walked through the door, but as she passed by you, you couldn't help but notice the smirk playing on Lisa's lips, a subtle hint of something more lurking beneath the surface. It sent a shiver down your spine, igniting a spark of unease within you.
As Lisa passed by, her gaze lingered on you for a moment too long, a silent challenge in her eyes. You felt a surge of discomfort, your suspicions about Lisa's intentions growing stronger with each passing second. While Hoseok might not have seen them you weren't as blind as he was to her, Lisa wanted Hoseok and would do anything to get him, at least she seemed to like that type.
Once she was gone you turned to Hoseok, your heart heavy with apprehension, you'd been coming up with something to say all afternoon and after seeing Lisa everything you'd thought about had washed from your mind completely.
"Hobi, can we talk?" You ventured, trying to keep your voice steady to make it seem as though you had control of this and weren't acting like some clingy girlfriend. You wanted to do this peacefully and calmly, just tell him how you were feeling and hopefully get some reassurance that everything was just in your head. Hoseok's brows furrowed in irritation, a hint of impatience colouring his tone.
"What is it now, Yn? Can't it wait? I have things to do," he snapped, his dismissive attitude cutting through you like a knife. He was under a lot of stress with work so you put it down to that, though he had seemed fine with Lisa earlier in the day which only pissed you off more. You couldn't let it go. The encounter with Lisa had stirred up a storm of emotions within you, and you needed answers.
"It's about Lisa," You began tentatively, your words catching in your throat and it was as if all time had stood still. You watched as Hoseok - with his back to you - stood up straight and his whole body turned ridged. He must've known what you were going to talk to him about since it was something you'd bought up once or twice before. His eyes narrowed as he turned around to face you, his jaw clenched in frustration.
"What about her? I've told you a hundred times, she's just a friend. Can't you trust me?" he retorted, his voice laced with accusation. It wasn't that you didn't trust him, it was her you couldn't trust. And the fact that he was refusing to even acknowledge how you were feeling in the situation fueled you with so much anger.
"It's not just about trust, Hoseok. It's about boundaries. I can't shake off this feeling that she wants more than just friendship with you," You confessed, your voice trembling with emotion as you waited for him to say something, anything, just some kind of reassurance that all of this was fine and he only wanted you but it wasn't what you got.
"You're so fucking controlling, you know that," He spat out harshly, laughing dryly as he threw the take-out containers onto the table and shook his head at you.
"This jealousy of yours is getting out of hand," He shook his head at you, you'd never seen him look so angry before and it scared you that this was how he was choosing to react instead of talking things through with you.
"Hobi, please, can we just talk about what happened with Lisa?" He let out an exasperated sigh,
"What more is there to talk about, YN? I've already told you countless times she's just a friend!" He yelled at you, finally losing his patience as he rubbed his face in frustration,
"I know, but... it's just... she looked at me like... like there's something more going on." Maybe it was all in your head, or maybe it was Lisa trying to mess with you but you needed confirmation from him.
"Oh, come on, Yn! Are you seriously going to let some look from Lisa drive you crazy? You're being so clingy and paranoid!" He scoffs at you, making you feel as though you were truly what he was calling you, but you knew Lisa and you knew she'd get everything she wanted.
"I'm not trying to be clingy or paranoid, Hobi. I just... I can't shake off this feeling. I'm scared..." Your voice trembled as you finally admitted it to him and he shook his head at you, staring at you with a darkness in his eyes you'd never seen before.
"Scared of what? That I'll leave you for Lisa? That's just absurd, Yn! You're letting your obsession with this whole situation ruin what we have!" He gestured between you both and you shook your head at him.
"I'm not obsessed! I'm just trying to express how I feel. Is it too much to ask for you to understand that?" The question hung in the air, it felt like an eternity had passed before he finally answered you.
"Yes, Yn, it is! You're always so damn controlling, trying to dictate who I can and can't be friends with. It's suffocating!" It was like a punch to the gut as you heard him admit this to you. You'd never once tried to tell him he couldn't see her or spend time with her, you just wanted him to let you know everything was okay.
"I'm not trying to control you. I just need to know that our relationship means something to you, that you care about how I feel." Tears streamed down your face as Hoseok shook his head at you, his resolve remaining unyielding,
"Well, if you can't trust me, maybe we shouldn't be together," he declared, his ultimatum hanging heavily in the air. You watched helplessly as Hoseok turned away, his words echoing in your mind like a cruel refrain. With a heavy heart, you realized that your once-solid foundation was crumbling beneath the weight of unspoken truths and unbridled resentment. And as you stood alone in the silence of their home, you knew that your relationship would never be the same again.
"N-No...No, you can't just walk away." You whimpered, rushing to stand in front of him, ready to beg him not to leave you if that was what it was going to take to get him to stay.
"H...Hobi, please... don't leave me. I can't imagine my life without you. I promise I'll be better, I'll change. Just give me a chance to make things right." You pleaded with him, tears streaming down your face but you didn't care how you looked or how desperate you sounded, you couldn't go without him in your life. Sighing Hoseok stepped away from you,
"Yn, I... I don't know if I can do this anymore. It's been so hard lately, and I don't feel like you understand me." Ironic since it was him who didn't understand your feelings but you weren't in the right stand of mind to process anything right now, so you shook your head, holding onto him tightly.
"I understand, I do. I know I've been too needy, too controlling. But I'm willing to work on it, I swear. Just please, don't give up on us." You stared up at him, he hesitated, staring down at you and biting his lip.
"I don't want to give up on us either, Yn. But something has to change. I can't keep feeling suffocated in this relationship.
"I hear you, Hobi. And I'm willing to do whatever it takes to fix things. Just tell me what you need from me."
"I need you to trust me, and Lisa because she's not going anywhere," He mumbled, you nodded at him before he walked away, cleaning up the living room as if he hadn't just threatened to leave you. Not even giving you so much as a kiss or an apology for the things he had said.
Tumblr media
Several months had passed since that tumultuous evening, yet the rift between you and Hoseok seemed wider than ever. Your once radiant smile had faded, replaced by a haunting sadness that lingered in your eyes. Unspoken words were written down in journals and never to your boyfriend who you had once told everything. But you were terrified that if you admitted you were still jealous he'd leave.
Hoseok, consumed by his own pursuits and blinded by his stubborn pride, had failed to mend the wounds he inflicted on your relationship, leaving you with a hole inside of you that desperately needed to be filled.
You found solace in the companionship of your male best friend from work, Jake. You shared laughs, inside jokes, and long conversations that lifted your spirits in ways Hoseok couldn't anymore. Jake's presence breathed new life into you, reminding you of the joy and warmth you had lost.
But as your friendship with Jake blossomed, Hoseok's jealousy reared its ugly head this time. He couldn't bear the thought of you finding happiness outside of your fractured relationship, just as you had struggled with his closeness to Lisa.
One day, as you returned home from spending time with Jake, you walked through the door with a giant smile on your face, one you hadn't been able to wipe since Jake had dropped you off at him.
"What's got you smiling so much?" The voice cut through the air and the smile was instantly wiped, you found Hoseok waiting for you, a solemn expression etched on his face. He had finally come to terms with the gravity of his mistakes, the weight of his regret heavy in his heart as he finally realised everything you must have been going through all those months ago.
"Jake said something pretty funny," You replied plainly, putting your bags down and taking off your jacket. The air was thick with tension as you slowly made your way through the living room and Hoseok sighed,
"Yn, we need to talk," He began, his voice tinged with remorse as he stared at you, he didn't expect you to forgive him after all this time but you were still together so there was at least a fighting chance.
"I realize now how badly I've messed up. I should have listened to you and respected your feelings, but I was too blind to see the damage I was causing." Caught off guard you stared at him, your gaze softening with a mixture of pain and hope. Neither of you had spoken about that night, it was a dark spot in your relationship neither of you went near again.
"Hoseok, I've been trying so hard to make things work between us, but it's been so difficult. I don't know if I can go through this again." You sniffled a little, you didn't want him to fight with you again, you were trying everything to move past what had happened. Hoseok reached out, gently taking your hand in his and it suddenly felt like the first time he had touched you in a long time.
"I understand, Yn. And I don't expect you to forgive me right away. But I promise to do better, to be the partner you deserve. I'll make things right, no matter what it takes."  Tears streamed down your face as you searched Hoseok's face, seeking sincerity in his words. And though the scars of their past lingered, you couldn't ignore the flicker of hope igniting within you once more.
"Okay, Hobi," You whispered, the nickname slipping out of you with ease as you felt a weight lift from your shoulders.
"Let's try to make things better... together." As you embraced, you felt a glimmer of optimism blooming within you, a fragile yet resilient seed of reconciliation taking root amidst the wreckage of your fractured love. And with each step forward, you embarked on a journey of healing, redemption, and the endless pursuit of second chances.

I’m having thoughts about Buddy Dawn.
So he obviously and painfully resembles Kristen and who she was before she met the Bad Kids. His death just strengthens that notion. But I don’t know if he will turn from Helio if he’s brought back.
Kristen faced a betrayal when meeting her god. He brushed off her question and was nothing like she thought he’d be. Buddy was betrayed by friends.
They are well into the school year. These are people he’s become close with, people he trusted. Even if they’re just stomping on rats in the woods, adventuring parties have to trust each other because you can’t be distracted by wondering if your party has your back when you’re facing a big monster.
Buddy, who came to a new school, bonded in some way with the Rat Grinders. He genuinely seemed to like everyone he met despite trying to “save” them. We know that’s a product of how he was raised and not necessarily indicative of who he is. He found a group and connected with them and in return, they slit his throat without hesitation.
Both clerics were betrayed by someone who was supposed to be there for them. The difference is Kristen was let down by her religion and Buddy was let down by the people around him.
And the worst part? It would be easier if Helio sucked because at least then Buddy wouldn’t be the only one. Kristen would be right, she told him. But for him to see how she and her friends work together and take care of each other in his last moments? That’s gotta hurt more than anything.

AITA for being a ....homewrecker? (🏝 for later)
I'm not sure that's the right word, but whatever. Basically, I (FtM) met this guy (cis M, we'll call him M) over a year ago and we hit it off pretty quick. It was under extremely unusual circumstances, but for the sake of anonymity, I'll be vague and just say: it was 3 AM, Denny's, T.E Lawrence was involved. Now, I'm pretty wary of most guys who go to my school, given I'm trans and unfit to defend myself for various would-break-anonymity reasons, but M is just the best and is incredibly sweet. Days are easier when he's around, even if it's just through a Discord call playing video games. I started harboring feelings for him pretty much immediately, but didn't plan on acting on them for two reasons:
1) I've yet to be in an actual committed relationship (nobody's wanted to stick around, or we both realized quickly we weren't dating material) and I'm terrified of fucking anything up. 2) ....M has a girlfriend. A super long-term one, at that. Like, they met when they were kids, he's been romancing her for ages, they're going to get married and both openly agree they'd be shells of people without each other. Soulmate shit. She's awesome. She's the sweetest, too. Very thoughtful, and soft-spoken, and so so smart. So, no, I didn't plan on doing anything about my feelings. I'm not the type to hide who I am, so I wasn't going to hide anything, but I certainly wasn't going to DO anything either. That's not my place.
Until, one school break, M comes to me and admits he has feelings. And he's wrecked about it. Tells me I'm the only other person he's really had this for, because it's always been his girlfriend. He's a mess. I thought we communicated pretty well, and we'd both made it clear that nothing was going to happen unless Girlfriend knew about it and approved, because she comes first above all else. (I was the one to say this before him, and he was relieved that I understood.) She is priority. She will always be priority, and I totally get that. I'm just some guy, you know? But the conversation ended with me telling him he should probably let her know about this, regardless of how scary that was, because he's an incredibly touchy-feely guy and if I was her I'd like if this was on my radar. New player: M's best friend. very by the book christian guy. Not at all stuck up, but he abstains from worldly pleasures or something like that! He's cool, we're cool.
Except after break, M's best friend makes a few confusing comments, and suddenly, there's now never been a time when just me and M have hung out since. Girlfriend hasn't acted any differently and is still incredibly warm and wonderful, so I'm pretty sure she still doesn't know. I'm a very giving person and like to shower my friends in gifts, so I was undeterred in giving them both valentine's gifts I had bought them months in advance (extra hand wringing on my part.) Girlfriend was ecstatic, loved her gift, and M loved his too. But then he left to go Cry??? Because he hadn't gotten her anything (I'm the only one with a min $ job). I'm not sure where I stand with him or with either of them, and i'm just so confused. I'm 🤷‍♂️ about poly, but with the way they were raised (see M's best friend for reference), their feelings are more muddy about it. I want to talk to M, but being alone in the same room is impossible. I don't know if M has been intentionally making sure we're never alone together, I don't know if Girlfriend knows, or what M wants, what Girlfriend would want or even what I want, because I don't know what's on the table. I don't even know if we're in the same restaurant. Girlfriend is going to find out. M is way too touchy feely even with "supervision". (Granted, he is with everyone, I'm pretty sure I'm just the only person who lets him get away with it.) At this rate, somethings going to give, and i'm honestly just waiting for it to happen now. 🤷‍♂️

Tfa team prime experiencing their heats and ruts for the first time and not knowing what to do, they turn to Ratchet who just sighs and grumbles something about young bots before letting them tire themselves out of his valve and intake. He’ll spike them if they ask nicely but his hips aren’t what they were in his party ambulance days so it’s easier to let spread his legs and let them fill his valve up.
Bonus is that he doesn’t think he can get sparked in his old age, but having four virile mechs filling him up for days might do the trick.
heghh. .. the TFA bots going absolutely frantic with their first heats and ruts… One of them (Bumblebee? Little frames can’t hold too much charge at once…) definitely goes into heat first, which activates everyone else’s reproduction protocols and the base is a mess of hot pheromones and crackling charge.
Ratchet doesn’t really go into heats anymore or they’re just so rare and dim for him at this age that they’re basically non-existent, so he’s mostly unaffected. Mostly – having a horny young thing subtly rubbing up against him while he tries to check them over definitely kicks his libido into action. Besides, it’s much better to let them fuck him rather than wait until they either fry their circuits overheating or knock each other up… They go crazy for a fat, experienced valve, it’s a wonder Ratchet can still walk.
mhmmm he thinks he can’t get pregnant but he really underestimated the quantity and sheer quality of the transfluid pumped into him. Once the heat frenzy dies down Ratchet thinks everything is gonna go back to the way it used to be, until he starts to feel weird… he doesn’t perform a pregnancy test though, because there is no way they knocked him up, right? He’s too fat to notice that he's pregnant until it’s too late. By the time his belly starts to visibly swell he’s nearing the end of his carrying cycle…

How does Brozone feel about the fact that they have no right to call Branch their brother? (When they EVENTUALLY realize it) they only knew for 2-4 years and he was Baby. Branch would be right to call them strangers. How would you explain their jealousy towards other trolls being close to him?
P.S. I feel like Barb would say something along the lines of “Oh that’s cute you knew him 2 years, I RAISED HIM FOR 14”
2-4 years is actually being generous in my fic due to some information from the BroZone website.
I think ALL of BroZone, Floyd included, struggles with the concept that they don't know Branch. The time they were together was barely anything to Branch, so much so that by the time they reunite, most memories are faded or filled with inaccuracies/missing info. They were all grown and they have so many memories of each other, it's hard for them to comprehend how little Branch actually has of them.
I don't mind saying that the brothers won't initially have the best opinion of Barb, and I think in part its ways easier to blame Barb than it would be to cope with the fact that Branch is a stranger.
Of course there's much more to this and some other things that will be kept secret for now, but yeah the brothers ARE strangers to Branch and Branch is a stranger to them and that will be explored!

a different kind of exercise | ljn
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
personal trainer!jeno × fem!reader (18+ mdni)
summary: he just wanted to give you a private lesson.
a/n: sorry, that didn't go well as i wanted, but i didn't have anything planned for his bday and this ended up coming out 😭 i didn't like that one, but happy bday to jeno!
cw: smut, pwp, unprotected sex, petnames (baby/pretty)
Tumblr media
jeno was not planning on this. yet he was glad it happened.
when he accepted to be your personal trainer, he didn't think much about it. you seemed like a genuine newbie in the gym, seeking legitimate help. unlike other people, you hadn't chosen him just because of his good looks, he could see that you actually wanted to learn.
he wasn't expecting much to come from your time together aside from some casual conversation during workouts and the occasional advice about exercising, but he found himself growing more interested in you than his purpose of teaching.
he didn't know why exactly, but he felt an attraction to you that he couldn't explain. sometimes he would even find himself acting like a pervert. and he knew that was wrong, but it was all somehow your fault.
he would often blame you for wearing those tight leggings that gripped onto your body like a second skin. he knew it wasn't fair to blame you for their existence, but he also couldn't help but be distracted by their form-fittedness.
but he was glad you wore them. he loved it when you folded forward, giving him a great view of your ass. he would make up some excuse about you doing it wrong just to get closer and hold your waist. he would press you against him and lean over you, telling you "how it should be done," while enjoying the feel of your body pressed against his. he enjoyed taking his time to "help you do it right" so that he could spend more time up close with your ass rubbing against his cock.
or when he is "helping you out" by adjusting your position and form while doing an exercise. he knew that wasn't necessary, but he used the excuse of "straightening you up" to sneak his hands around you. he would grab a handful of your breasts, pretending to position you properly to do the exercise but actually taking the chance to feel you up.
jeno would often find excuses to get close to you, brushing up against you or putting his hands on your body more often than necessary, always trying to touch you in subtle ways that he hoped you wouldn't notice.
and that was the best—or worst—part of it all. you were completely clueless about his actions, genuinely thinking it was just his way of teaching. honestly, it wasn't bothering you at all. in fact, you even secretly enjoyed it when he was "just teaching you" and getting a bit too close for comfort by holding you up and touching your body.
but still, for jeno, this was pure agony too. all he craved was to fuck you senseless until you were practically limping, but he couldn't just spit it out. ever since your sessions began, he caught himself fucking his fist at night thinking about you, he'd daydream about pounding into you, making you yell his name 'til you were hoarse.
gosh, he needed you so bad.
and so he made it.
it was easier than he thought. all he had to do was come with an excuse to get you to his house. saying he needed to "go over some information" about your exercises and "get more in-depth" with your routine, he asked you to come over to his place to "work through the details" of your activities.
he can't really remember how things escalated from telling you to make yourself comfortable to him pressing you up against the bed mattress with your legs around his waist while you cry out his name because of how good it feels to have his cock stretching your tight pussy.
“you feel so—god, so f-fucking good,” jeno’s hands grip your hips tightly as he thrusts deeper into you, his movements becoming more urgent with each passing second. your hands were gripping the sheet so tightly that your knuckles were white, your eyes rolling to the back of your head.
“y-you're so tight, baby,” he looked down to see where your bodies connected, watching as his length disappeared into your welcoming pussy.
"fuck, y/n... you take me so well,” he breathes heavily, trying to maintain control as you clench around him. "i could stay here forever,” his cock slamming into you with such force that you could feel it in your bones.
the sensation of him filling you up completely is almost too much to bear, but you wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world right now.
jeno feels your body tensing up and your warm walls squeezing him again, making him groan. “are you close, pretty?” the only answer for his question were your loud moan and it was enough for him.
you gasp when he suddenly changes your position, pulling one of your legs over his shoulder and driving himself even deeper inside of you. the new angle hits all the right spots, and you feel yourself being stretched to the limit, even more sensitive as his hand slip down to rub your clit.
you starts to feel an orgasm building inside of you, which made you let a whine escape your lips. you didn't want this moment to end, but you know it's going to be explosive when it finally does. you focus on the sensation of him filling you up, on the sound of your bodies slapping together, and on the scent of sex in the air. it's a heady combination that sends you over the edge, you body shuddering and convulsing beneath his as you milk his cock.
jeno himself couldn’t hold back his own climax any longer, the way your face contorts in pure bliss as you come undone beneath him sends him over the edge. feeling his orgasm getting closer and closer, his thrusts became a little more messy, but still at the same pace. it felt so good he almost forgot to pull out, withdrawing just in time to cum on your thigh, his hot load sticking to your skin.
he falls onto the bed next to you, the only sound now is your heavy breathing as you both try to compose yourself. you continue to silently stare at the ceiling for a few more minutes before turning your head to look at him, just to find him already looking at you.
“so…” you begin. “same time next week?”

So you’re pretty sure of him being next season still around… glad to know, because I totally agree, cause a lot of people is sure that they’re going to break up soon…and honestly, if that was the case, story wise, it wouldn’t make any sense to me…
Maybe you’re right and the ILY will arrive next season, but this season I would love for them to take the next step and label themselves as a serious relationship…
Yeah, I'm pretty sure Tommy will stays at least for season 8. because of story they are making and because of how bucktommy was taken by fandom and the thing that Lou was followed by 911 ig account. For me it all speaks "we want more of him"
You're absolutely right that story wise for now there's no reason for Buck and Tommy to break up. They for now was only on two dates(and we will not see the time skip to wedding I guess but still I believe it's several week after coffee date so we also can add some more dates+ wedding) and they are absolutely smitten with each other and want to try to know each other. Tim, Lou and if I'm not mistaken Oliver all said they want romcom and I can't see them break even at the end of the season, but I can see them taken more serious step as calling each other boyfriends. Oliver also said there's gonna be more kisses and Buck initiate some of them, so Buck definitely feels more confident in his relationship and I can see him only trying to make them deeper and more meaningful, but not "clinging" because he's scared to be alone, but because he really likes Tommy
When they didn't want someone for long, Ali for example, they barely gave us anything about the character. We literally just knew that where she works, that she was dying her hair blonde for a lot of time and that's all. About Ana, who stayed for pretty longer, we jts knew her work, that she has sister(right before break up) and that's all. Even Taylor had backstory only in 5s when I guess they tried to make Bucktaylor work.
About Tommy we already know some things from begins episodes and that's btw makes everything easier. Tim said that they chose Tommy because he was already existed in the universe, they don't need to create new person, but they made Tommy deeper. We literally had Tommy in 6 episodes (in one barely) and we already know more about him we know about Tailor who was around for 1,5 seasons. They showed us where he works, said that he was in the army(in begins it never mentioned), made his story we saw in begins deeper with saying "yeah, he was in closet.", told us about his interests like Muay Thai, cars, basketball, we know he's a movie fan like Chim (begins). We know he loves Love, actually and craft beer. They made him Eddie's new friend. Also they let Lou to share his ideas how he sees Tommy (hard unstable childhood) which I'm sure wasn't for nothing. I see them making Tommy the character on the Karen's level at least .The LI of the main character, who is regular with enough backstory to make them interesting and lovable to the audience, but no need to make them main. Also Tommy's job allows him to make appearance any time they want. And his friendship with Eddie, Chim and Hen too. So he doesn't need to be just "Buck's boyfriend". Tommy has way better treatment any gf of Buck or Eddie had and we have him as a LI for only 3 episodes. Imagine what they can do till the end of the season and during next one? Make him loveable LI who is not plot device, but also no need to make him main. And as Tommy not in 118, 911 don't even have to go through standard plot of "oh, we are working together and it's gonna be a lot of drama about it". Too old

Spider-Mandated Break - Part 2
Summary - Carmilla has been easier on herself about her work lately, after some convincing from Zestial. However, she has not forgotten about the unconventional method of persuasion he used, and does not plan on letting his stunt slide.
Word Count - 800
-
Zestial and Carmilla were in the latter’s office, resting in the two chairs situated in front of her desk. The Overlords were enjoying each other’s company, with Zestial sipping on a cup of tea. Despite the busy lives that they both lead, the old friends made the effort to spend time together at least semi-regularly.
Holding the cup and saucer above his lap, Zestial’s cloak was slightly raised away from his body, displaying his long, slender figure.
As their idle chat reached a natural pause, Zestial took a long sip of his tea before speaking.
“I must say, Carmilla, I am pleased to see thou taking some time for thyself.”
Carmilla gave a soft smile in response.
“Well, I thought about what you said, Zestial. If I keep giving all of my energy away to other people, I may work myself to my second-death.” She chuckled softly. “Taking some time off every now and then allows me to recharge, giving me enough energy to handle my responsibilities without feeling completely drained.”
“Glad to hear it.” Zestial said, a mischievous grin appearing on his face. “I suppose that means I will no longer have to persuade thou into giving thy weary soul a break, hm?”
Carmilla recalled Zestial’s playful attack a few weeks prior.
“Ah, yes, that will no longer be necessary.” She said, Zestial chuckling as he took another sip of his tea. “However, I don’t recall paying you back for your… considerate actions.”
Zestial’s tea caught in his throat, the demon choking slightly as he lowered his cup.
“Th-that is quite alright, Carmilla. Thou hath already repaid me by changing thy lifestyle for the better.”
“You know that’s not what I meant, Zestial.” A smirk crossed Carmilla's face as she stood, taking a few steps over to the other Overlord, who shrunk back in his chair.
“Carmilla, thou really need not-”
Zestial was cut off as Carmilla placed her hands on his sides, rhythmically drumming her fingers against the surface.
“You see, my friend, one does not mess with a Carmine and simply get away with it.” She said, beginning to skitter her nails up and down Zestial’s sides.
Frantic chuckles left the demon as he squirmed, twisting his body this way and that. His cup of tea rattled in his hands as he moved.
“Cahaharmillahaha! Thehehe tehehehea!” Zestial chuckled out.
“Looks like you better stay still. Wouldn’t want to spill it, would you?” Carmilla teased.
Moving her hands up to Zestial’s ribs, Carmilla began applying light, rapid pinches. Zestial’s movements became more erratic.
“Ihihi cahahahant!” He insisted, the cup and saucer flying out of his hands and onto the ground.
“Oh, nevermind then. Squirm around all you want. You won’t be getting away.” Carmilla said, vibrating her fingers into Zestial’s ribs.
His rapid chuckling turned into laughter.
“NAHhaAHa! ThohOU ahahARt cruhuHUhuel! CehEHEase ahAHat ohohOHOhonce!” Zestial laughed out, jumping around in volume. He grabbed onto Carmilla’s wrists but did not push at them.
“I’ve never heard you laugh like this, Zestial.” Carmilla chucked, slowing her hands. “You’re just as ticklish as my daughters.”
“Ihihi dohoubt my sehensitihivity is as greheat as thahat of yohohour kihihin.” Zestial giggled, regaining his breath.
“Oh, is that so? Well then, I guess you won’t mind this.” Carmilla shot her hands into Zestial’s underarms, scribbling mercilessly with her nails.
Zestial burst out laughing. He quickly slammed his arms down against his sides, effectively pinning Carmilla’s hands.
“Remohohove thy fingers!” He pleaded.
“I can’t. They’re stuck. You have to lift your arms so that I can pull them out.” Carmilla smirked.
“Thou wihill tihickle me agahain!”
“Don’t be silly, my friend. Just let my hands free.”
Zestial sheepishly raised his arms up, prompting Carmilla to dig into his underarms once again.
“THOHOU HAHATH BETRAHAHAYED MEHEHE!” Zestial proclaimed through his laughter.
Carmilla couldn’t help but laugh along.
After a minute, she slowed her hands to a stop, removing them from Zestial’s figure.
“Are you alright, friend? I didn’t go overboard, did I?” Carmilla questioned, returning to her chair.
“No, thohou were gentle enohough. T’was nice to let loose for a while.” Zestial laid back in his chair, slightly winded.
“Sorry about the tea. Would you like me to get you some more?”
“I would be most grateful.”
Zestial watched as Carmilla got up to fetch him the beverage.
Even as a widely-feared, ancient Overlord, Zestial had a more sensitive side to him, one that he enjoyed being able to freely share with his old friend. They could have moments of vulnerability together, without fear of ridicule or mockery. Zestial cared for Carmilla, and enjoyed bringing out her more playful side.
As he had watched many Overlords rise and fall from power, Zestial hoped that Carmilla would stick around, and that they would always have each other to rely on.

Hello GT! I almost never comment on anything online, but (after binge-reading Lionheart in about three days) I'm overcome with a desperate need to confess that I've developed an enormous intellectual crush on you as an author. I've never been particularly drawn to Dramione as a pairing before now - or even the HP universe in general as more than a very casual fan - but after reading nearly 600 thousand of your words, I'd be craving more even if that number was 600 million. Thank you very much for sharing Lionheart with the world.
It's a rare pleasure to read something where an immense thoughtfulness shines through so brightly not simply in bits and pieces here and there, but consistently throughout every line and every subplot you stitch together. There are other works of fiction out there that I love, but very, very few of them have been carefully crafted enough to allow me as a reader to sit back and have unshakeable confidence in the depth of the author's vision. Everything you write, from the smallest descriptive details to the grander puzzle pieces tying together each book, is delivered with such intentionality. Sometimes when reading other fiction I'll find myself impatiently wondering "okay, fantastic build-up, but when are we getting to the *really good* part"; with you, every part is the good part. The oft-cited slow-burn mantra of "it's not the destination, it's the journey" doesn't even ring true for me with Lionheart - because in your capable hands, you hurl us straight at that destination with every chapter. All of this to say that my starstruck inner writer is currently pinning a hypothetical pin-up poster of you to my hypothetical writer-ly bedroom wall as someone to look up to.
One of my favourite aspects of your work is how utterly hilarious you are both in your character dialogue and your prose. You've made me laugh more than you've made me cry - and you're guilty of making me cry a lot, especially in Book Four. You balance us between hysterical (funny) and hysterical (dirty, raw feelings) without a trace of whiplash, quite often imparting both simultaneously. Is interweaving humour with Everything Else something that comes naturally to you while writing or is it a process you're consciously juggling?
I've brooded and preened over this message for entirely far too long, and it's not fair to you. Suffice it to say you're kinder than I deserve and this made me want to cry. Any and all pin-up posters of me should render me looking like a deer in headlights, as is the appropriate reaction to this kind of honor.
I'm especially delighted by the hysteria (plural)! In general, it's easier for me to write humor than it is for me to write drama. Not that either one is easy as such, but I think drama requires more architecture. You don't have to explain if a joke is funny; it just is funny, and the audience knows why the characters are laughing/amused/happy. In drama, you have to achieve a certain level of technical character work to set up the punch of a moment; there's stakes, plotting, resonance, etc., and then you have to actually deliver it in a way that isn't either flippant, ironic, or Narm. Basically, there are more axes of failure. And the stakes of a joke failing are pretty low, too: worst case, your audience is like "eh, not that funny" and they move on. If a dramatic moment fails, it can take the legs out from under a whole arc.
One of my tests for whether a moment is ripe for comedy is the question of what the comedy is doing. Is it a realistic reflection of the character's voice in that situation? And, perhaps more importantly: why am I feeling the need to put comedy in this scene? Do I want it because it's natural and tone-appropriate, or am I trying to disguise my own insecurity about the dramatic content of the scene? If the latter, I tend to cut. You can't write from fear, you know?

Why Buddie fans are “switching sides” (a silly little theory)
No one asked for this but I just want to share some thoughts I have based on some posts I’ve seen circulating in the 911 (specifically Buddie) fandom...
I think the reason so many people are glomming on to Tommy as a potential partner for Buck is that we’re seeing it as a real possibility. Not just a canonical possibility but a canonical possibility that has the potential of being good for Buck. Maybe for the first time.
For example, I personally liked Taylor as a character and kind of liked her with Buck (at times, until the end when I lost respect for her based on how she so easily chose her career over the man she supposedly loved), but I also knew that if Buck ended up with her permanently, I’d be sad for him because he deserved better than she was willing to grow. (The writers could have made Taylor a permanent love interest for Buck, but they would have messed up if they’d done that. His other girlfriends were also not written to be long term possibilities)
I like (nay, love) Eddie for Buck. They fit together so perfectly. They’re undeniably soul mates, even if only platonic.
And that brings me to Tommy. We don’t know Tommy yet. But from what we do know so far, I think he could be good for Buck in the same ways Eddie is, could match him toe to toe. And shipping them together right now is EASY. It’s EASY to root for two characters who are canonically into each other and treat each other well. So don’t blame us for leaning onto Buck and Tommy. It’s easy and comfortable and sometimes that’s why we engage in fandom.. for comfort.
If the show was doing something different with eddie’s story line, it would be easier for me to root for Buddie. But what they’re giving us right now is Eddie learning to love Marisol…
So I’m going to be over here, happy for Buck, and hoping for happiness for both Buck and Eddie.
I am not abandoning Buddie (guys, you can ship different couples at once lol it’s fiction it’s not that serious) but I’m not mad about Tommy as a possibility for Buck because it’s the first love interest he’s had so far who has treated him good from the beginning.
And I want the same for Eddie, btw. And if it’s Buck and Eddie endgame, I will be so unbelievably happy. But right now, with what we know, Buck and Tommy would be fine with me too!
TLDR: people ship Buck and Tommy because it’s easy and that’s okay so leave those shippers alone
