Giving something a shot.

I've wanted to have a blanket made up of little hexagons for ages so I'm trying this again. My beekeepers quilt has been untouched for well over a year, so I'm kind of hesitant to do this, but the granny hexagons are more portable, work up much faster, and from what I can see look like they're easier to join up

I'll do another round on this. Thinking that the joining round can be worked in different colours from the middle because the idea of breaking the yarn only to join up again in the same colour pisses me off so much it's unreal

Here's the thing about DJWifi. Nino can say the stupidest shit in the world and Alya's never gonna accept it. She will tell him to his face that he's being dumb as shit and needs better opinions. Which is already a good dynamic, especially because women rarely get to have opinions so loudly and boldly in media and not be villainized for it. But then also Nino will fully accept that she's correct, which is good and fun bc malewives or whatever, but also that presents a dynamic where Alya needs to learn to hold herself accountable for having good opinions or else she'll lead Nino to have bad opinions. And also Nino needs to learn how to have opinions, and so he can learn that by emulating Alya too. And all around it's just this positive feedback loop and I love them.

i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.

So I've been doing this thing for months where I just start grabbing one of my plushies to have as tummy support to prevent me from leaning too far forward towards my screen (the plush pushes me back as it's against the desk).

friend wanted to see my tumblr, and when i told him i can’t show it to him bc it’s basically my personal diary he went “oh so I can’t see it but a bunch of strangers on tumblr can??” he literally does not get me. no one will get me like the people in my phone get me

you can be down for simple assimilation for yourself but many of us just want to be respected as is because theres nothing wrong with being different. especially those of us who are also neurodivergent on top of queer or many other things people often ostracize in society.

if you want other queers to water themselves down or just completely close off parts of their identity and self expression so that you wont be associated with those ~freaks~ and can be more easily accepted by The Normies, then you are not caring about your fellow queers at all.

we arent doing any harm, and we should be pushing for people to accept others no matter how HARMLESSLY strange and unusual they may come across. challenging the norm is the only way to get more people accepted across all communities.

Honestly, Danny is having such a good time right now. He gets to travel with Ellie, explore space, just have fun. Plus his secondary protector-instincts are having soothed despite him not technically doing any hero-ing anymore. Really his sister had the right idea when she decided she wanted to become a doctor, this is honestly a blast.

And if someone does end up passing away, well, Ellie is always happy to help soothe their spirit and guide them to the Realms where they can reach their respective afterlife. Or become a ghost.
