The Avengers: Earth Mightiest Heroes series watch

There is a meeting between HYDRA and AIM, where Modok is talking about studying the Cosmic Cube. This weapon has the power to grant any wish and can give HYDRA the power to conquer the world. Though Modok is going to need more time to make it work. The Meeting is broken up by Hawkeye who demands to know the location of the Black Widow.

There's a shoot-out Hawkeye knocks a good number of the henchmen, but both Grim Reaper and Modok manage to flee. Shield flies in and demands to have a meeting with Hawkeye. Fury chews out Hawkeye for interrupting Shields's operation. However, Hawkeye is more annoyed because they have failed to capture the Black Widow themselves. Fury defends himself saying Hawkeye should know how elusive she is considering they were partners. Tony reluctantly agrees with Fury. There's not much they can do to find Widow and they still need to deal with the aftermath of the breakout, but Hawkeye refuses to back down and storms out. He'll find her alone if he has to.

Captain America and Black Panther speak with Hawkeye. They say he shouldn't be so focused on revenge and doing this all alone won't be good for him. An old friend of Haweyes, Bobbi Morse no under the alias of Mockingbird walks in and offers her help which Hawkeye quickly accepts

The Mockingbird tries to help the team by showing them the HYDRA safe houses and storage facilities. However, the other heroes ignore her advice. They suspect that she is trying to mislead them and they have been following Black Widow's trail through a tracking device planted on the Grim Reaper by Hawkeye during their last encounter. Their plan is to use the device to locate Baron Strucker, with the expectation that the Widow will soon follow.

Hawkeye and Mockingbird launch an attack on the Reaper when he is about to change transport, but unfortunately, they are beaten and captured. However, this was all part of their plan to get closer to Strucker, with Captain America and Black Panther not too far behind. The only problem is that the HYDRA transport they are on has a cloaking device that prevents the tracking device from working.

Hawkeye and Mockingbird find themselves imprisoned and alone. Unexpectedly, Black Widow pays them a visit in their dungeon. Just as she is about to speak, Hawkeye interrupts her and swears to take revenge. After Black Widow leaves, Hawkeye breaks out of his cell.

It turns out that AIM has been delaying HYDRA and no one expected the Cosmic Cube to work. Now, however, it does, and MODOC must reconsider its plans.

Hawkeye and Mockingbird attempt to take down Baron Strucker for the second time but are outnumbered. Fortunately, Cap and Black Panther arrive and join the fight. While Cap corners Strucker, he activates a self-destruct sequence for the base. Widow jumps in to save him, and Hawkeye gets a clear shot at her while she's escaping with Strucker. However, Hawkeye sees Viper about to attack a restrained Mockingbird and chooses to save Bobbi by taking the shot instead.

During a mission, Hawkeye chases after Black Widow, who is trying to escape. The two engage in a battle where they manage to disarm each other and start fighting hand-to-hand. Widow proves to be better in this combat, and she manages to disable Hawkeye. However, Strucker insists on finishing him off and begins to drain his life force. Surprisingly, Widow saves him. But she takes the knocked-out Strucker and flees. Captain America and Black Panther arrive to rescue Hawkeye, and Fury brings the Helicarrier to extract Mockingbird. Eventually, the HYDRA Island is destroyed in flames. While regrouping at the docks Widow tells Strucker that it was Black Panther who knocked him out. Modok flies in to return the money that Hydra has paid him claiming that the cosmic cube project was a failure. He leaves claiming that Aim will be working on a new project for Hydra soon enough, however, Strucker is suspicious of Modok's true intentions

Back at Shield's headquarters Fury shows Mockingbird Viper's body has now transformed into that of an alien Skrull.

I loved this episodes. Once again, this show does a great job of setting multiple plots at once and continuing them and it does it in a way that doesn't feel crowded.

I immediately like it how it was Cap and America and Black Panther were the ones helping out Hawkeye. Showing Steve support for his team and containing on Black Panther and Hawkeye kind of being buddies.

Hawkeye gets to showing his wits seeing right through Fury's tactics using Mockingbird and being able to use it to his advantage. I am a little curious about Fury's mindset though. Like, he's not really here for superheroes, but apparently, it's him giving his top agents mask identities. Alright, Nick whatever you think is best.

This episode sets up for secret invasion, although it won't fully playout until next the season. It's crazy watching the MCU complete mess right now and then see a children's show understand how to tell a serialized story.

The moment you opened the door, Kate was on the other side with a bunch of bags on her hands. Pizza dog made his way inside your apartment, already used to him and Kate visiting you.

"Okay, I think I brought all we need for sad-miserable-day."

You grinned at how genuinely concerned she looked and how serious she took the situation. You had texted her a few minutes ago, saying you were having a pretty shitty day, and now she's at your apartment with apparently a whole supermarket inside those bags.

Kate looked at you with a worried expression since you weren't moving from your spot on the door. "I can come in, right? Do you want me to go?"

"Of course you can come in, silly," you replied, allowing her to walk inside and closing the door behind her. "So what did you bought?"

"I was hoping you'd ask! Right, so I went to the store and got a box of chocolates, lots– and I mean lots of candy, two frozen pizzas for us and the dog– he loves pepperoni ones so I got that one, tissues in case we need to cry at some point, this incredibly soft pillow I had to get because I know you like those and– in my opinion the best thing, I found these really funny glasses with a mustache. I got us a pair so we can match. I even bought one for the dog! Oh, and I got a bottle of tequila just in case."

During her whole little speech you couldn't stop smiling at how adorable she looked, all excited over the things she got you in hopes to make you feel better. When she was done talking, you walked up to her and wrapped your arms around her, pulling her in for a hug. You couldn't really see it, but she had a huge grin on her face the moment you hugged her.

"You're the best friend ever, have I told you that?"

Aaaaand she was pulled back to reality. It felt like a slap in the face, really. Getting all excited for a hug when she knows you only see her as a friend. Why would a pair of glasses with a mustache attached to them make you suddenly want to confess your undeniable love for her when you haven't shown interest in all the years you two have known each other? It was stupid to even imagine this was more than a person showing affection to a friend.

"You might've mentioned it a couple of times," she joked, pretending everything was fine.

It wasn't hard for her to act like she wasn't miserable every time she was reminded she got stuck in the friendzone. She's been pretending for a few years now, not daring to say anything about her feelings because she fears to ruin the friendship. Kate has always tried to remain optimistic about the situation and try to remind herself she's lucky to have you in her life, even if she's just your friend.

But sometimes it was so hard to remind herself she's just a friend. 

"Are you joining us or what?" she heard you asking, walking over the living room where the Pizza dog was already at, laying comfortably on your couch. 

Kate soon snapped out of it and joined you and the dog. While you looked for anything interesting to watch on Netflix, Kate took the time to grab a few blankets before sitting on the couch next to you, making sure to cover the two of you with one of the blankets and leaving one for the dog.

"I was trying to find something new to watch but I guess we're sticking to Modern Family."

"I love Modern Family," Kate replied. "We can watch that. If we already watched it like a hundred times, why should we stop now?"

You put a random episode of the show and laid back next to Kate. All the candy she has bought was on the coffee table in front of you. As soon as you press the play button, Kate spoke again.

"No, wait. I didn't bought these for nothing," she says, taking the pair of glasses and mustache.

"And you want me to wear that thing now?"

"Yes, now!"

You laughed at her but accepted the glasses she was offering you. She tried putting the other pair on the dog but he clearly wasn't a fan, taking them off as soon as he could, earning a complain from Kate and another laugh from you.

"If I were to know neither would want to wear the glasses, I wouldn't have bought them."

"I loved the glasses, Kate. Truly," you quickly replied. "They make me feel better already."

Kate looked at you for a second and smiled, appreciating you would say that. She turned to look at the dog who laid peacefully next to her, but didn't attempt to put the glasses back on. He is a very stubborn dog, and if he didn't like the glasses he's definitely not going to wear them. Ever.

You finally started the episode and began eating the various candy Kate bought for you. The three of you watched about six episodes until you decided to take a break. Watching Modern Family never failed to cheer you up, and with Kate and the dog to keep you company was even better.

Pizza dog could almost read minds whenever there was pizza involved, so he was the first one who jumped off the couch and followed you into the kitchen when you went to cook the pizzas. He stood next to you, patiently waiting to receive at least a slice.

"You know, you should definitely consider growing a mustache," Kate joked as she walked into the kitchen too. "Looks good."

"Perhaps I will," you replied.

"I hope this is all making you feel better."

"It really is. And I really appreciate the fact that you came here just to cheer me up."

"Well, that's what friends are for," she replied. "Are you still feeling sad about the audition?"

You sighed. "I really thought that was going to be my chance. Apparently it will only be another reason for my parents to remind me I should've never dropped out of business school."

"Hey, I love your parents but in all honestly, fuck business school. You absolutely hated it! And if Broadway makes you happy, then that's what you should be doing. It's about what you love, not what they love."

"You make it sound so simple," you smiled rather sadly.

"Well...it kinda is. Look, all you need to focus on is being happy. If they can't understand what your true passion is, then that's their problem. Not yours."

"Thank you, Kate. Your support really means a lot to me."

"I'll always support you."

You smiled after her comment, not being able to hold yourself back from hugging her for the second time that evening, wanting to show her just how much it means to you to have at least one person who truly support all of your choices.

Once again, it was hard for Kate to remind herself this was just a friend hugging a friend. She returned the hug and practically counted the seconds until letting you go, not wanting to hold on longer than what a friendly hug is supposed to last. Is that a thing or am I completely losing my mind? she thought.

"Speaking of the whole acting situation," you began as soon as you pulled away from your hug. "I had an audition last week. I didn't want to say anything to avoid the embarrassment of telling you how I got rejected again, but...I mean, maybe this one could work."

"Oh my god, that's great! I know they'll call you anytime."

The two of you spend all the time that you were eating pizza talking about your audition. Where it was, what is the play all about, how it was the whole experience, etcetera. Hearing you talk about it with such hopes filled Kate with so much happiness. She absolutely adores watching you talk about your passions, watching as your whole face lights up and how you can't contain yourself from talking. It was a privilege for her to hear you talking about what you love most in the world.

After eating the pizza, you were heading to your bedroom to get a hoodie since it was getting colder. When you got to your room, your phone started to ring. You rarely ever get any phone calls, so you instantly went full panic mode as you remembered you were waiting a call from the people you auditioned in front of.

Rushing back to the kitchen, you showed the phone to Kate, feeling like you could throw up any second now. "I'm getting a phone call."

"I see that. Are you picking up?"

"It could be about the audition!"

Kate furrowed her eyebrows slightly, not understanding your point. "That's exactly why you should pick up, right?"

"I– I'm gonna pass out," you muttered right before answering. "Hello? Yes, it's her speaking...yes...okay...I– what?...are you being serious right now?...I mean, sure! Yes!...Yes!...Thanks you, goodbye."

As you hang up, Kate looked at you expecting to know what was that about.

"I GOT THE PART!"

"WHAT?"

"I GOT THE PART!"

"OH MY GOD, I KNEW IT! I KNEW YOU WERE GONNA GET IT!"

You practically ran up to Kate and embraced her as tight as you could, her hugging you back just as tight, both of you screaming and cheering. At one point you both began jumping, still hugging, still screaming.

"I can't believe I got the part!" you said in disbelief, pulling away just enough to be able to look at her. You both stopped jumping, standing in the middle of your kitchen.

"This is amazing. I'm so proud of you!"

Maybe it was the fact that Kate was way too excited or maybe it's the fact that she always seems to forget you two are supped to be just friends, but right after saying that she took a step closer to you and kissed you. You barely even got time to process what was going on before she abruptly pulled away, visibly shocked for what she was done.

"I– I'm so sorry. I don't know why I did that."

Still slightly surprised by the sudden kiss, you were able to shake your head just slightly. "Kate, it's fine–"

"I didn't mean to do that! It was just–"

"It really is no–"

"Excited about you getting that part and I–"

"Kate, it's not–"

"Completely forgot where we were and–"

"Kate–"

"I'm very sorry, I'll never–"

Realizing there was no way to get her to listen to you, the only way to get her to shut up again was pulling her back in for another kiss. This time, it lasted much longer. Kate was obviously surprised to have you kissing her, but figured that you were okay with it if it was you the one who started it, kissing you back. Her kiss was timid, like fearing you were going to pull away any time and she is going to make a complete full of herself. She even thought at one point that she was going to abruptly wake up any minute, realizing this was just some sort of dream.

Are you really kissing her? Is she really standing in your kitchen, kissing you? This is definitely not what "just friends" do.

When you pulled away from the kiss, Kate looked more confused that ever, not understanding why you would even kiss her. You noticed her confusion, which made you smile. So she never noticed you've been having a crush on her all these years?

"So, you...?" she started, not knowing how to continue with that question.

You blushed a little, shrugging. "I thought it was obvious?"

"I– obvious? What was obvious?"

"Well, if you have to ask then maybe it wasn't that obvious."

"No, it was very much not obvious. I was obvious."

"You were not!"

"Okay, hold on. So all this time we've had a crush on each other but we are that dumb we never realized?"

"Apparently. I feel so stupid."

"Yeah, so do I." There was a brief silence between you two before Kate continued. "Uh, just letting you know, about that kiss...I mean, you can do more of that if you want."

"Weird way of saying you want me to kiss you again, but I'll take it."

"Oh, I'm sorry. I just found out my best friend likes me when I've liked them for a very long time so excuse me if I talk weird."

You chuckled, wrapping your arms around her waist to pull her closer to you, kissing her again. This time the kiss didn't last long because Pizza dog seemed appropriate to interrupt at that very moment, jumping on top of the two of you, barking.

"Not now, buddy!" Kate complained, looking down at the dog as he shook his tail, almost looking happy by the scene in front of him.

"Maybe he wants to pee?" you suggested.

Kate groaned, pulling away from you. "You're supposed to be my friend, Pizza dog, not ruin my fun!"

You watched as she went to get her coat and got ready to take the dog for a walk. When she was ready, she turned to look at you to ask if you'd like to go with them, to which you agreed. As the three of you were making your way to a nearby park, Kate was pleasantly surprised when you reached to grab her free hand.

If this was in fact a dream, she wishes to never wake up.

Avengers: Infinity War sẽ là kết thúc cho một số siêu anh hùng của MCU

Phase 3 của MCU đang đi vào giai đoạn cuối, với Avengers 3 và 4 ra mắt vào năm 2018 và 2019 sẽ là 1 trong 2 sự kiện lớn tạo ra bước ngoặt cho phase 3 và phase 4. Mới đây Avengers: Infinity War đã đi vào giai đoạn cuối của quá trình quay phim, các diễn viên cũng đã quay trở lại và sãn sàng cho giai đoạn quay của Avengers 4. Tuy nhiên fan của các siêu anh hùng Marvel sẽ phải đón nhận một tin buồn vì mới đây chủ tịch Kevin Feige đã xác nhận Infinity War sẽ là kết thúc cho một số nhân vật.

  Từ thời điểm này cho tới khi Avengers: Infinity War được khởi chiếu tại các rạp chiếu phim, các fan của vũ trụ điện ảnh siêu anh hùng Marvel sẽ có gầ 1 năm để chuẩn bị trước tinh thần vì có thể một số trong các nhân vật yêu thích của họ sẽ không thể sống sót sau phần này. Kể từ khi Thanos xuất hiện trong đoạn cuối của The Avengers, khán giả đã rất nóng lòng để chờ đợi xem điều gì sẽ xảy ra với các siêu anh hùng của trái đất đối đầu với ác nhân hàng đầu của Marvel. Với việc giành được 6 viên đá vô cực chắc chắn tên Titan điên này sẽ không chỉ có thể thổi bay trái đất mà còn dễ dàng đánh bại các nguời hùng của chúng ta, và theo những gì mà nhà sản xuất đã công bố thì hầu hết các nhân vật sẽ tham gia trận chiến không cân sức này.

Các nhân vật sẽ xuất hiện trong Avengers: Infinity War

  Các nhà lãnh đạo của MCU đã làm việc cật lực để xây dựng thương hiệu và vực dậy dòng phim siêu anh hùng vốn bị thất sủng, trận chiến giữa Thanos và biệt đội Avengers đã được lên kế hoạch ngay khi Marvel quyết định sẽ tập hợp các siêu anh hùng của mình và tạo ra vũ trụ điện ảnh MCU. Các fan sẽ phải chuẩn bị trước tinh thần cho phần phim này vì theo như Kevin Feige sẽ không chỉ có một siêu anh hùng sẽ kết thúc số phận của họ trong MCU.

Siêu ác nhân Thanos cùng các viên đá vô cực

  Thông tin trên được tiết lộ trong một cuộc phòng vấn với trang JoBlo, khi chuyên trang đặt ra câu hỏi về sự xuất hiện của nhân vật Spider-Man trong MCU và trong cả Infinity War cùng với các nhân vật khác sẽ xuất hiện trong phim. Khi được hỏi bộ phim này sẽ là phần cuối cùng cho một số siêu anh hùng của MCU, Feige đã đắn đo đôi chút và trả lời quả quyết: “Có”. Nhân vật nào sẽ phải ra đi hiện nay vẫn còn là một ẩn số, tuy nhiên khi được hỏi về kế hoạch phát triển  cho hai nhân vật lớn nhất Marvel là người sắt Iron Man (Robert Downey JR.) và Captain America (Christ Evans) sau khi Avengers 4 kết thúc Kevin Feige đã trả lời:

“Chúng tôi có thêm 2 năm nữa để làm việc chăm chỉ ngay cả khi 2 bộ phim đã quay xong (Avengers 3 và 4), và họ ( 2 diễn viên được nhắc đến) đã có màn trình diễn rất tuyệt vời trong suốt thời gian vừa qua, và những gì chúng tôi nghĩ tới tại thời điểm hiện tại là hoàn thành các phim và mang chúng đến với khán giả đúng như những gì chúng tôi đã hứa hẹn. Còn sau đó như thế nào thì chúng ta hãy cùng chờ đợi”.

  Với câu trả lời của Kevin Feige, người hâm mộ có thể chắc chắn rằng hai nhân vật Tony Stark và Steve Rogers chắc chắn sẽ còn xuất hiện trong các phần phim tiếp theo của biệt đội siêu anh hùng. Lý do để 2 câu chuyện về hai nhân vật này chưa thể kết thúc là vì họ là 2 cái tên lớn nhất, và là biểu tượng của cả MCU, thứ 2 hợp đồng của Christ Evans vừa mới được gia hạn còn hợp đồng của Robert Downey JR vẫn còn hiệu lực cho 1-2 phim nữa. Với việc vũ trụ điện ảnh MCU ngày càng mở rộng, việc giải phóng các diễn viên với vai diện của họ và hướng cả series phim đi theo một đinh hương mới có vẻ là một bước đi hợp lý, tuy nhiên đây đối với các fan lâu năm thì sẽ chẳng dễ dàng gì để chấp nhận sự thật rằng các nhân vật yêu thích của mình sẽ không còn xuất hiện trên màn ảnh rộng nữa.

Vision được dự đoán sẽ bị "khai tử" trong Infinity War

  Ngoài Tony và Steve, cái tên có khả năng bị khai tử cao nhất trong Infinity War hiện nay chính là Vision (Paul Bettany) với lý do đơn giản là một trong sáu viên đá vô cực đang dính trên đầu của nhân vật này và chắc chắn Thanos (hoặc hội sát thủ Black Order của hắn) sẽ dùng mọi cách để có được viên đá quyền năng đó. Bên cạnh Vision thì Haweye (Jeremy Renner) cũng là cái tên được đưa vào diện tình nghi những nhân vật sẽ kết thúc sứ mạng sau Avengers 3, bởi vì nhân vật Haweye chưa từng được giữ trọng trách hoặc đóng vai trò quan trọng nào trong các phim, và thực tế là cơ hội để nhân vật này có một phim riêng trong tương lai là rất ít.

"Good morning!"

Kate literally almost choked on her cereal when she saw you walking inside the kitchen to start making your breakfast. Hoping you didn't notice the effect you had on her, she continued to eat like nothing happened after quickly greeting you back. In all honestly, she thought you would stay in bed for longer. That way you wouldn't interrupt her train of thoughts about you. The fact you walked in so unannounced definitively started her, as if you could read her thoughts and discover the massive crush she has developed for you.

It's been about a month since you moved in. Considering she lost her mom a while back, almost got killed by the biggest mafia boss on New York and her only friend lived far away on a farm with his family, she was desperate to get a more interesting social life.

Since she had a spare bedroom, she figured she might as well get someone to live with her. It was an exhausting process to find someone that wasn't weird or could potentially become a disturbance in her home. Luckily, you happened to be looking for an apartment and your paths crossed. Kate instantly knew you would be perfect to live with her.

Of course, at that time she saw you as nothing else but a roommate. She even helped you unpack and get settled down, making sure you felt at home and not just staying in a stranger's apartment. However, as she got to know you better, she realized she might've made a mistake letting you live with her.

And it wasn't because you were a terrible roommate or an intolerable human being. Quiete the opposite, you were just like Kate had predicted: perfect. You laughed at her jokes, cooked amazing food for the two of you, love the same movies and have overall similar interests. You were literally like her other half, so it didn't take her long to start seeing you as more than her roommate.

That was the problem.

How could she look at you in the eye now that she's hopelessly falling for you more and more each day? To be living with you with these feelings hidden deep within her...she couldn't help but imagine this is exactly what it would feel like to live with you as her girlfriend. To have a life with you. So close to that ideal scenario she often fantasizes about, yet so far away.

Kate was miserable, thinking how awkward it would be to confess her feelings to her roommate. This wasn't suppose to happen, because now she can't do nothing about it. If she did, things would just be a hundred times more complicated. Knowing herself, Kate would probably never leave her room again if she ever told you how she feels.

She just got herself on the roommatezone without even realizing it.

"I'm going out to meet a friend that's visiting for the day," you announced as you poured coffee on a mug to head out. "Sorry I couldn't stay and join you for breakfast. I'll see you later for our movie night, okay?"

Kate nodded. "Sure. See you then."

You smiled at her and walked over to where she was sitting to give her a quick kiss on the top of her head as a goodbye and left the apartment. Kate sat there, looking at the now closed door, somehow still feeling your arm around her shoulders and your lips kissing her goodbye.

The fact that you were so incredibly sweet and affectionate with her was something Kate loved, yet hated. Of course she enjoyed your compliments, silly nicknames, hugs and kisses, as that was your way of treating the people you cared about, but it also made things a lot more difficult for her.

It was hard not to wish for those gestures to be for her and her only. That she was the only one who would motivate you to be that affectionate. That your hugs would last longer and your kisses would linger all over her lips rather than the top of her head or cheek. Kate wasn't a selfish person, but the longing to be with you as something more made her wish those gestures were only for her to enjoy.

With those thoughts in mind, she continued to eat her breakfast.

"Stay still, Bishop!"

Kate sighed for the hundredth time, moving her head away from you as she opened her eyes. "I'm sorry. Hard to stay still when you keep trying to poke my eye out!"

"Could you stop being to dramatic? I'm being as gentle as I can be."

"Yeah, doesn't seem like it."

You laughed at her comment and tried to continue with your work. You had offered to pluck Kate's eyebrows before you started to watch the movie the two of you had chosen for the night. The two of you were sitting on the couch, her facing you so you could pluck her eyebrows.

"You know, maybe it's the fact we're sitting like this," you said after a few seconds, making her open her eyes. "Here," you added, standing up to sit on the floor.

Kate didn't know exactly what you wanted to do, but she followed your moves and sat down on the floor. As she did, you moved closer and kneeled in front of her, standing right in front of her and in between her legs. Evidently, Kate held her breath as she noticed the position you two were in, praying you wouldn't notice her demeanor drastically changing.

It seems like you didn't realize it, deciding to continue your previous activity. You put a hand on the side of her head to keep her still, Kate still looking back at you as she completely forgot how to function with you so close to her.

You smiled at her. "You can close your eyes now," you said, almost mocking her.

"Right. Sorry," she quickly said, doing as you instructed. She wanted to punch herself for being so stupid.

"You know, we can try that face mask I bought the other day when I'm done with this."

Kate didn't reply, silently agreeing to that. You continued to pluck her eyebrows and Kate just sat there with her eyes closed, incredibly nervous, knowing you were just inches away from her. The fact that she couldn't see you, just feel you, was driving her insane.

"Okay, I'm done," you said after a few seconds. "Stay there!"

When Kate opened her eyes, she saw you walking down the hall to your room and coming back with the face mask you mentioned. She watched you opening the little packaging and taking the little tool it had attached to the lid to spread the product across the face.

As you had instructed, she didn't move from her sitting position on the floor, so you made your way to your previous position in between her legs. Given Kate already had her hair up on a bun and away from her face, you started to apply the facemask on her face.

This time, fully able to be looking at you, she realized perhaps being with her eyes closed was a better option. She could see you up close as you concentrated on every inch on her face to apply the face mask, making sure to gently apply the product on her face. You were taking your time with it, but of course she didn't mind the opportunity to have you so close to her.

She has never feel this vulnerable in her life. Ever. With you everything felt like a first.

After you finished applying the face mask, she was surprised to see you didn't move away as fast as she would have expected. Instead, you sat there looking back into her eyes in complete silence, and once again Kate found it almost impossible to breath.

Finally you seemed to snap out of it, looking down in embarrassment as you let out a quick and nervous laugh, trying to act like whatever just happened between you didn't happen. Of course, Kate would never let that go. This was the very first time she has seen a hint of hope. A sign that maybe the silent admiration could somehow be reciprocated.

"Uh, you're all done," you eventually said, standing up. "I can put mine on the bathroom and come back for the movie".

"I can put yours if you want," Kate offered. The fact that you had give her the smallest hint filled her with confident.

"Oh...yeah, sure," you replied, quickly agreeing to that offer.

You sat back down on the floor, this time you being the one sitting and Kate the one kneeling on front of you. The process of applying the mask happened all over again, as silent and as intimate as it was before. Kate made sure to be as gentle and sweet as you always seem to be with her, not missing her opportunity to sent hints to you about her own feelings. It was as if she was silently pleading for you to realize about her crush on you without having to speak up.

When Kate was finished, the two of you sat back on the couch, still completely silent, deciding to watch the movie now. The silent was both awkward, yet enjoyable. There was this unspoken understatement or mutual agreement between you two. Like you both knew exactly what just happened, but didn't have the need to put it into words.

As the movie started, Kate kept throwing small glances your way, but you weren't looking back at her. Eventually, her eyes drifted to your hand casually resting on the couch in between your bodies. When she looked back up, she was able to catch you staring at her, but you quickly turned your attention back to the TV in front of you.

With this new found confident within her, Kate reached out with her hand to grab yours. Her heard was beating faster than ever, wishing that small gesture didn't mess everything up. To her luck, you didn't move away. Instead, you intertwined your fingers with hers the moment you felt her touch.

When she looked to your direction again, she noticed a small smile adorning your lips. The sight made her smile back. Once again surrounded by that mutual understanding of what is happening between the two of you, Kate turned to look at the movie, not ever wanting to let go of your hand.

Okay your writing is fantastic and I need more Kate, please give us something along the lines of her being in love with the reader but not being able to say it/being kinda afraid of getting rejected, so she just takes every little moment with the reader that she can get and cherishes them. Kate was mostly happy...mostly.

The only thing stopping her from feeling truly happy was the fact that she's been pretending she doesn't have a crush on you ever since she met you. She never really acted on her feelings so, naturally, you two became best friends and you never suspected she always wanted to be more. At one point she thought it'd be too weird to say anything, fearing of losing your friendship, so she just started to get used to the fact that her opportunity with you was long gone.

Still, getting used to that didn't mean that it didn't hurt her. She blames herself almost everyday for not being brave enough to tell you how she feels. The mere thought of confessing she likes you and risk losing your friendship over it is enough to convince her to keep everything hidden.

But sometimes, pretending was very hard. Because how could she pretend like she's not completely in love with you every time you two hang out? When she makes one of her usual silly jokes she knows you enjoy so much, feeling like the luckiest girl on the planet for getting the chance to make you laugh. When she notice those little details you only do for her, like leaving funny notes on her fridge every once in a while or watch every single show she talks about just because she likes them. It's hard to pretend she doesn't wish for you to be more than her best friend.

So all Kate can really do is wish. Wish she was brave enough before throwing herself to the friendzone. She could only enjoy you as a friend, but never as her lover. Not like having you as a friend was bad, it just wasn't what she wanted. Maybe having you in her life was better than not having you at all, regardless if she was just a friend.

She had to act like all those little things that drive her absolutely crazy about you didn't really matter in that way.

Still, she allowed herself to cherish every single second to got to be with you, because it makes her genuinely happy. It was hard to walk that very thin line between enjoying you as a friend and craving you as a lover– sometimes she's not even sure when she crosses it, sometimes she doesn't care and willingly allows herself to cross it.

During her walk to the usual coffee shop you two hang out she just couldn't stop thinking about you, looking forward to see you today. You seemed very excited over your call with her yesterday, claiming you had a very special surprise for her and couldn't wait until today to reveal what it was. Hearing you so excited obviously intrigued her, wanting to know what it was that made you act like this.

When she got to the place you agreed to meet, she stopped at the entrance of the small coffee place when she saw you sitting by one of the tables, coffee already in hand, chatting to a person Kate has never met. Her heart dropped when she saw you stand up from your seat to round the table and hug the person you were with, sharing what felt like an hour-long hug. It looked so personal, so intimate, that Kate feared the worst.

You couldn't possibly be dating that person, right? No, no way. You surely would've told her a long time ago you were seeing someone. She's your best friend, and best friends tell each other that kind of stuff. Or maybe you kept this a secret until it got serious enough for whatever-their-name-is to meet the best friend?

And Kate knew is was selfish and even childish to feel this way, but it just wasn't fair. It wasn't fair that she's liked you for so long and now someone else is with you. How is she supposed to act all happy to meet this person when she already hates them? She hates they took her opportunity.

And it was even more childish the fact that Kate turned around and started to walk back home, not really able to deal with this right now.

Getting a call from you was inevitable. Kate just stood you up without telling you what was going on, thing she never does. Of course you would call. Of course you would worry...and of course Kate had nothing else to do but pick up and hope her lie is convincing enough.

"Kate?" was the first thing she heard.

"Hey...sorry I couldn't make it today."

"What happened? Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, I just woke up with a headache. I've been sleeping mostly all day, I completely forgot to let you know."

"Are you okay? You need anything? I can go buy a few things and take care of you."

Kate loved that idea, but the image of you hugging that other person today completely ruined the moment. She instantly felt jealous again. "Uh, no, I wouldn't want to bother you..."

"Why would it be a bother to take care of my best friend?" you asked jokingly.

Kate faked a laugh. "Really, I'm feeling better now. No need to worry."

"Let me know when you can hang out then. No pressure or anything, but there's someone I really want you to meet!"

Her mouth dried and she felt sick to hear that sentence. She didn't want to meet anyone. She didn't want to act like she was the best friend who has to approve whoever your dating. She didn't want you to date anyone. This sucks!

"I...I'm actually going out of town," the words completely escaped her mouth, and even Kate herself didn't know where this lie was going, but it was clearly too late to back down now.

"You are?" you asked, confused.

"Yeah, Clint and I have some stuff to do...don't know when I'll be back."

"You didn't tell me you were going out of town."

You didn't tell me you were dating someone, she thought.

"It was very last minute."

"Well...you know when you'll be back?"

"I'm...not sure."

"Okay. Let me know when you get back, tho. I really want you to meet this person."

Kate really wanted the ceiling to come crushing down and spare her of being alive to avoid meeting this person. "Sure! I'll let you know."

"Be safe!"

"Talk to you later, bye."

With a few days of freedom from you and your apparently new partner, Kate felt a lot better. She finally felt like she could breath and think her next moves. Clearly avoiding the situation forever wasn't an option, and quite frankly she should've prepared herself for the day you found someone. She just hopes this day would've come much, much later in your life.

And what can she do now? She can pretend to be the supportive best friend, but deep down she knows she just can't watch you love someone else. It's painful to imagine always being the best friend. She doesn't want to live like that.

Knowing it's too late to tell you how she feels, maybe the only option left for her is move on. Detach herself from you in order for her feelings to lose strength. Her plan isn't cutting you off completely, but maybe some space was necessary in order to forget about the way she feels about you.

Maybe it doesn't work, but it's the best she's got for now.

It's been almost two weeks since that phone call.

Kate pretended to be out of New York on a mission with Clint, which was actually a very good lie to have more excuses not to text or call you. With time she was able to reply less and less to your messages and having less time for a call. She felt awful for lying, but this felt like the only way to start getting over you. Or at least is the only way she can think off.

And things were working out great for her, until one day when you started to calling her non stop. You would usually call her once or twice and then text her to check on her, to which she would reply hours later. Now, you were calling over and over. That left her with no other option but to answer.

"Hi!" she says as soon as she picked up. "Look, I don't really have time to talk, Clint's-"

"I know you're in your apartment," you cut her off.

"What do you mean? I told you I-"

"I can see the lights on, Kate! I know you're in there!" you exclaimed, obviously upset.

Kate ran to the window to see you outside on the street, holding the phone up to your ear, looking up with clear disappointment and anger in your eyes.

"Shit..." Kate muttered.

"Why would you lie to me? I know you didn't even leave New York! After you've been apparently ignoring me, I thought something was wrong. Then, I remembered I had Clint's number on my phone and called him to see if everything was okay."

"Why would you call Clint?" Kate freaked out, already hearing his lecture about not to call him or annoy him.

"Because you were avoiding me! What else was I supposed to do? Sorry I care about you!"

"Okay, okay...can we talk about this upstairs? You...you kinda look like a crazy person screaming in the middle of the street."

You completely ignored her comment, hanging up and walking straight to the entrance of her apartment. She allowed you to enter and headed upstairs to her apartment, where she was already waiting, her door opened for you to stumble inside.

For good reason, you looked very upset, though Kate could also see how sad you were to see that your best friend is actively ignoring you and making up lies to avoid seeing you. You didn't know what was going on, wondering if you did something wrong.

Now Kate realizes this was a stupid idea. All she got was to get you hurt, and her feelings for you are pretty much still the same.

"I hope you have a good explanation for this."

Kate was quiet for a second, debating whether she should lie again or tell the truth. Lying sounds tempting, but she's seeing the outcome of her first lie and she doesn't like it one bit. Maybe the only option left is telling you what's going on.

Maybe it was the only option all along.

"Okay, I have been avoiding you- but it's not you, trust me, it's really all me. I know, "oh, she's coming up with the it's not you, it's me crap"- disgusting, I know, but hear me out. That day when you told us to meet at the coffee shop, I actually went there. I didn't stay because...well, because I saw you in there with someone. And, to be honest, I completely panicked. My brain shut down and all I could do was run back home and then lie to avoid seeing you."

"But why did you do that?" you asked. To Kate's relief you didn't sound upset. If anything, you look desperate to know what happened.

"This is embarrassing, but I didn't want to be there because I was jealous. I've actually liked you for some time- no, that's a lie...a very long time, and I just couldn't deal with the idea of being the best friend that had to get to know the partner and give the stamp of approval."

"Wait, hold on. You thought me and..."

"Oh, no. Please don't tell me I'm about to get even more embarrassed."

"The person I was with is called Sam. They were my best friend when we were in school! I haven't seen them in years because they live outside the country and this month they were visiting New York to catch up. I'm not dating them."

Kate once again wanted the ceiling to crush her.

The situation was hilarious to you, not being able to hold back your laughter. "I can't believe you thought we were dating."

"Well, I'm dumb," was all Kate could say, too embarrassed to care. She just made a complete fool of herself. She just confessed her feelings for nothing.

"Yes, you are," you agreed.

"I'm sorry. Can we pretend this never happened?"

"You're forgiven, and yes. We can forget this happened," you replied. "However, now that we're sharing things...I guess I've been lying to you, too." Kate didn't say anything, looking at you as she waited for further explanation. You smiled shyly at her before continuing. "About what you said before, I also have feelings for you."

Kate's head nearly exploded...literally. At least she felt like it almost did. "You- you do?"

"Yeah. I guess I never said anything because I thought you didn't feel the same."

"I never said anything because I thought you didn't feel the same!"

"Well, we're dumb," you replied, copying what she had said earlier. Kate chuckled and nodded in agreement.

"This is weird, are we like not best friends anymore?"

"I guess not. If that's okay with you."

"That's super okay with me," she replied. "Hey, you want to get something to eat? This could be our very first night out being not best friends."

"Sure. By the way, Sam is still in town if you want to meet them now that you know their not my partner."

"Oh, I'd love to meet them. I have to thank them for bringing us together!"
