Keigo Takami x gn!reader

Warnings:mention of violence, burn marks and scars, over all it's fluff

Summary: after Keigos injury, you worry more about him than before...

Masterlist

I watched in horror, how he got hit by the blazing flames. How his wings burnt down to ashes. I felt my body moving on it's own, but I wasn't fast enough. He got hit anyways and Tokoyami and me had to somehow get him away from Dabi, who was still laughing over what he just did to Keigo. In that moment, I wanted to kill him, I wanted him to feel, what I felt, the fear and agony. But I knew, that Keigo's safety was more important right now, so I let him get away.

And as I watched how the parademics took care of him, I realized that I couldn't loose him. That I needed him, that I couldn't live without him. That he was my everything and if he would die, I could never forgive myself.

"Go with him"

I turned around and looked into the eyes of Tokoyami, his student. He smiled slightly, encouraging me to join Keigo on his way to the hospital.

"We'll be fine", he assured me and all I could do was nod and thank him, beacause I surely knew that I couldn't stay here. I would be of no help with my mind comepletely occupied by him. And I knew for sure, that if I saw Dabi again, I wouldn't be able to hold back.

So I stepped into the ambulance, watching as Keigo lay there unconscious, his wings comepletly burnt away and his skin scarred.

I gently took his hand in mine after the parademics were done with the first aid. And I felt a tear run down my face, because I knew that I would never be how it was again. Not between Keigo and me and not between the people and heroes. Those times were over.

"I'm going to meet up with Jeanist and Endeavor now.", Keigo said as he collected all his things that he needed for a trip outside of the safezone of the Yuei.

"I'll pick up All Might after I visited Shota in the hospital with Eri", I explained and grabbed his hand before he could leave.

"Be careful, will you?", I smiled and gently kissed his cheek. I could feel his newly required scar under my lips. The skin still wasn't comepletely healed yet.

"I will, my love", Keigo mumbled and pulled me against his body.

"You too, I hope", he said and kissed my forehead in return. I chuckled as his hair tickled my face. After his incident it was much shorter now, but still long enough, so that I could play with it when we lay together in bed.

"Don't worry, I'm not gonna leave you, my dear", he promised, his eyes now focused on my face. As I looked up to him, I saw how done he looked. Dark circles under his eyes, the smalll cuts and bruises all overhis face, that weren't comepletely healed yet and of course, the huge scar , which ran up his neck, all the way to his chin and cheek. Apart from all the burn marks and scars all over his torso and back. He acted like it didn't hurt him anymore, but I knew how he tossed and turned around at night, while his wings slowly grew back, causing him immense pain.

"You're thinking about my scars, aren't you babybird?"

I looked up at Keigo as I realized how deep in thought I was.

"I just wish I could help ease your pain in any way", I mumbled and slowly wrapped my arms around his hips, burrying my face in his chest, his fluffy jacket tickling my face.

"You're doing enough by just being with me", Keigo explained, his arms encirceling my torso,"Without you, I couldn't pull any of this of. I couldn't stand up in the morning and go out there everyday."

"You're just saying that to make me feel better", I pouted and looked up, my chin resting on his sternum.

Keigo only chuckled and softly kissed my nose:"I mean it, love. You are my reason to bring this world back to how it was, because I want you to have the life you've always wanted and that you deserve, and I am more than happy to live it together with you."

I felt myself tearing up at his sweet words. And it made me realize again, how much he mattered to me, how much I loved him.

"Thank you, Keigo", I mumbled and hugged him tighter,"I want to live that life with you too"

He only smiled again and gently grasped my chin to pull me in for a short kiss. HIs lips worked against mine with such passion that I just knew that he meant what he said. His kiss left me breathless, his lips so intoxicating that I never wanted to be without them again.

"As much, as I love hugging and kissing you, my dear I must really go now or I be late. Both of us will", Keigo said after we parted. I followed his eyes to the clock, hanging next to the apartment door and he was right.

"Okay", I mumbled and slowly parted from him, "See you later "

Keigo smiled softly and kissed my cheek once more before leaving the apartment on the way to his car.

"I love you!"; he yelled on his way out. I only chuckled and leaned out of the door:"I love you!"

before making my way to the Yuei to pick up Eri to go see her dad.

Masterlist

I was tired, but I wanted to wait for him. I tried, almost unsuccessfully, to keep my eyes open.

I sighed and walked to the kitchen.

'Keigo, where are you?' I thought and turned on the coffee machine.

While the coffee was brewing, I let my gaze wander outside. The streets were dark, only the lanterns brought a little light.

For a second I thought I saw a shadow. A tall person sneaking around in front of the house.

Startled, I looked again more closely, but this time I saw nothing.

"I should probably go to sleep," I mumbled.

But then my eyes fell on a picture of Keigo and me. It showed us at the beginning of our relationship. That was three years ago. back then he wasn't the pro hero number 2. Back then he often had free time and never worked late into the night. But I knew what I had gotten myself into. Keigo had told me about his goal early on and it was honorable, there was no doubt about it, so I did my best to support him.

I sighed and looked back at the coffee machine, it was finished.

I grabbed the mug and it quickly warmed my hands and I was a little more awake immediately.

I cautiously padded back into the living room.

,, So so..."

I backed away, startled, the mug fell to the floor and the warm liquid spread all over the carpet.

"So this is Hawks' little girlfriend", the stranger said.

I looked at him anxiously. He was tall and wore a long black coat, his hair was tousled and shaggy. but what really caught my attention were his scars.

Dark scars ran under his eyes and across his chin, down his neck and down his arms. They were more makeshift attached to the healthy skin.

"Yeah, the scars scare a lot of people off," he grinned, walking towards me. I quickly backed away.

"Don't worry, I won't hurt you... for now," he assured me, raising his hands.

,, Who are you? What do you want from me? " I yelled, looking him straight in the eyes.

"Not so scared, huh?" he replied.

,, What do you want!?",I repeated, louder this time.

"Pretty aggressive for a little girl, aren't you?" He took another step towards me.

I took a step back, "I'm not a little girl!"

,, Oh yeah? ", he grinned stepped forward. Again I stepped back, but this time I felt the wall against my back. There was no escape.

"Tell me what you want or get out! "I answered, but he remained calm and came closer and closer to me. when his face was only millimeters from mine, he finally stopped.

"My name is Dabi," he whispered menacingly, "and I'm here to make sure Hawks keeps the deal and well, it's always good to look around for leverage."

I swallowed hard. what kind of deal was he talking about? Keigo always told me everything, so why didn't I know who this Dabi was talking about? Let alone who he was.

I gasped when he suddenly leaned forward.

"You're the perfect bargaining subject, kid," he whispered in my ear. It sent chills down my spine.

,, What are you up to? " I asked as calmly as possible.

"I'm going to leave Hawks a little warning. just in case he decides to betray me."

He slowly raised his hand. Suddenly blue flames erupted. They flickered dangerously around his fingers.

He slowly approached me. startled, I tried to dodge, but he held me in place with his other hand.

,, Please!? ", I whispered, "don't do that"

"Sorry little one, your pretty face has to be sacrificed"

the flames were only a few inches from my face when suddenly someone grabbed Daby's hand and stopped him.

I looked up relieved:,, Keigo! "

"Hawks, what a coincidence," Dabi smiled, but the surprise was written all over his face.

Keigo looked at him, an unpleased expression on his face. He quickly pulled Dabi away from me and pushed him back.

I quickly ran to Keigo. He grabbed my hand and pushed me protectively behind him.

,, What do you want here, Dabi!?", he asked aloud. I had never seen him so angry, it was quite out of character for him.

dabi shrugged his shoulders:,, Just making sure you don't get any stupid ideas. You didn't really think I would trust you, did you?"

"No, not at all," Keigo replied.

I cautiously peeked out from behind his shoulder.

"Well then, now you know what happens when you do something stupid", Dabi pointed towards me with a grin.

I felt Keigo's wings gently wrap around me.

He looked angrily at Daby: "If you come near her again, our deal is over and I will hand you over to the police! "

"Nice", Daby raised his hands and backed away slowly, "Just remember that you are vulnerable. You have weaknesses ... I don't"

With that he disappeared. I looked after him confused.

"Keigo..." I mumbled, but was suddenly interrupted when Keigo pulled me into a hug. I felt his wings wrap around me protectively.

,, Are you all right? did he do anything to you?" he whispered worriedly.

"I'm fine Keigo. Thank you," I replied, "but who was this Dabi? What did he mean by deal?"

Keigo sighed. He carefully grabbed my hands.

"I'm not really supposed to tell anyone about this," he explained, "but I trust you. You must have recognized him. He's is with the league of villians and we have a secret deal. We give each other inside info. It's a Order of the Government with utmost importance."

"Keigo," I mumbled, gently cupping his cheek with my hand, "why didn't you tell me?"

"I wanted to protect you," he blurted out.

Sighing, Keigo looked down, "It was a mistake. I'm sorry, I should have told you about him"

I smiled at him gently. I carefully lifted his chin:,, It's okay. You don't have to apologize for anything. I knew what I was getting myself into. I love you Keigo and I will always support you"

Relief spread over Keigo's face:,, Thank you Y/N. I don't know what I would do without you I love you too"

Smiling, I stood on my tiptoes and gently pressed my lips to his. I felt Keigo pull me further towards him. His wings wrapped around us. We slowly stumbled back to the sofa.

"I love you... Hawks," I smiled.

"I know, Baby Bird. I love you too "
