Wow! Thanks @hawtchocolate for tagging me! 1. Are you staying home from work/school? - Yes

2. If you’re staying home, who’s there with you? - My husband and my two daughters (age 3 and 6).

3. Do you have pets to keep you company? - A rabbit. I must admit though that my husband and me would rather not have it. It’s for our children really.

4. Who do you miss the most? - It’s not a fair question in my case. I am living 800 km far away from my previous home. So I miss my friends all the time. But now I miss also my new friends from work. I have two really good peers there. My parents should have visited us for Easter break and my in laws should have come for a week in May. No visits now so we just do video calls. The last time we saw our friends and family from the Czech Republic was at Christmas. 

5. When was the last time you left your home? - 2 days ago for little exercise and walk

6. What was the last thing you bought? - Toys and bedding and little house for the rabbit. My daughters are absolutely in love with Cars movies. We just ordered Lightning McQueen, Cruz Ramirez, Cal Weathers and Jackson Storm.....vrrrrruuuummmm! And our rabbit just damaged her little house in her cage so we ordered a new one for her. She’s going to have a tunnel!

7. Is quarantine driving you insane or are you finally relaxed? - Insane but not too much. Both me and my husband work from home, we do home-schooling with our oldest one, we have many online meetings, writing, teaching to do. And the girls need our attention. We live in a small appartement so we have to close ourselves in children’s bedroom to have some quiet for the work.

8. Are you a homebody? - Not at all.

9. What movies have you watched recently? In the evenings: We started watching Star Trek Voyager series. We watched Man of Steel recently. During the days: Cars, Cars 2 six times, Cars 3 four times, How to Train your dragon, How to trains your dragon 2, How to train your dragon 3 twice, Frozen 2. ....you probably see the pattern.

10. An event that you were looking forward to that got cancelled? - My very first trip to USA. I should have gone to a conference near by Boston in June. I should have gone there 5 days in advance and look around Boston and New Your. I should have met there with my good friend @onlykatelyn there. 😢😢

11. What’s the worst thing that you’ve had to cancel? - I have a MSc. student who cannot do the lab work with me now. Her whole lab project was cancelled and she can do only data analysis, writing, reading, studying. All important things for a scientist, but she’s quite upset about it. She was really looking forward to it and I am so so sorry for her. 

12. What’s the best thing you’ve had to cancel? - There was no event which I would rather cancel. Not really.

13. Do you have any new hobbies? - Not too much time for any new hobbies. I have less time than before with the girls at home, home-schooling of my oldest one, home-office, Dutch lessons... 

14. What are you out of? - Flour. Baking yeast.

15. What music are you listening to? - Czech band Jananas, Dutch duo Suzan en Freek, Queen, Michael Bublé, Adele

16. What shows are you watching? In the evenings: Star Trek Voyager, During the days: Paw Patrol (Paw Patrol is on a roll!)

17. What are you reading? -  A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire #1) by George R.R. Martin,  Writing Science: How to Write Papers That Get Cited and Proposals That Get Funded by Joshua Schimel

18. What are you doing of self-care? - reading, talking with my partner, playing board games, running, walking and biking with my family outside in the nature, exercising

19. Are you exercising? - Yes. I go running once a week. I do fitness training and skipping over jump rope regularly. We go on biking trips regularly.

20. How’s your toilet paper supply? - Ok now. It was a little bit problematic at the first few days of the quarantine though.

21. Have you made any changes to your hair during quarantine? - Nope.

This is the skeleton of my weekly spread this year, my first departure from bullet journaling since 2017. It's based on the PAL planet by Bushimen x Kokuyo, with a couple minor changes

I am starting 2023 in this cool cork cover notebook from Keegood. It's definitely a unique texture and a playful, casual aesthetic.

Other details:

192 pages of 100gsm paper

26 squares across, 39 vertically

The bottom outer square is a dotted square instead of the dot grid. Presumably this is for the page number, but I might use it to mark when everything on that page has been migrated on (threading pages)

The notebook starts on a full spread and ends on just a left page

The ticket paper used to line the inside of the cover and the pocket is a pretty ivory with a raised irregular grid pattern that's really pretty

There are two bookmarks in different colors (a gold and a brown that matches the cork cover), a pen loop on the outside edge, and an elastic closure

There is a back pocket which comes with a ruler and a packet of page flags and tabs
