She might be sweet and innocent sonetimes but mostly shes very badass and I think the fandom forgets that!

canonically hazel doesnt have an issue with swearing. she swears several times in the beginning of SoN and says that even when she was in the thirties a nun washed her mouth out for saying “shit”. but she DOES get flustered by suggestive stuff, like when leo took his shirt off to woo the nymphs and she looked “scandalized” when percy and annabeth were caught snuggling on the argo II

Percy must have absolutely hated being in that ship. He’s only really been on the Andromada and the last time he was on a boat one of his closest friends literally died in front on him. Also imagine his face when he realized there was Greek fire on the ship then 3 of the crewmates disappeared right after. Later when everyone is back I can see him just having the worst panic attack while the color of Greek fire permenedly burned into the back of his eyes

Chiron could’ve done way better training the children of the big three, it’s literally his job

I WISH WISH WISH we could’ve seen the extent of Leo’s powers. Like the scenes where we figure out he has fire powers, they seem so significant- but he only ever uses his inventions. His story was almost exclusively about being lonely, when we couldve had a determined Leo figuring out his fire powers and learning to control them, fighting monsters with the seven. There were MUCH too many couples and relationships in HOO- and I think the entire TLH trios could’ve gone without a relationship, as well as Frank and Hazel. Thing was, Frazel got together after one book, I’d rather they figured out their powers first. And Reyna didn’t need anyone. She was asexual anyway.

annabeth - straight or bi but maybe on the ace spectrum, nonbinary in the sense that she doesn’t have any attachment to gender

jason - bi but leans towards girls VERY much to the point where it takes him a long time to realize he likes the very occasional guy

piper - bi/pan hcs are super valid!! but i personally see her as a lesbian (also nb, nonbinary lesbian piper rights!!)

frank - straight but the most supportive ally you could have (once he figures out you’re gay which takes a while bc his gaydar is nonexistent) i could also see him as gay ace in au where he doesn’t date hazel

hazel - she doesn’t really know but she likes frank and she’s just gonna go from there

leo - bi but the liking guys part of him is kinda repressed, can definitely see him as a trans guy

nico - honey he gay

will - bi but prefers guys, probably uses he/they pronouns

Couple Sparring: Who Would Win?

Percy vs. Annabeth

Annabeth partly due to her skill but also there’s the fact her boyfriend is more focused on flirty banter than actual fighting.

Nico vs. Will

You might think Nico would win being as powerful as he is, but he has the opposite problem as Percy… Will flirts with him when they fight and the poor dude forgets what’s happening completely. He never stood a chance.

Piper vs. Jason (I would do Shel but I know nothing about Shel other than she exists sooooo)

Piper wins because of charmspeak and also because this girl is ruthless and would 100% kick ass while Jason would be concerned about potentially hurting her.

Calypso vs. Leo

Leo wins for two reasons. Number 1: He has said something that annoyed Calypso so badly she is frozen in shock. Reason 2: Homegirl has so much power she is afraid of actually hurting him… also, she just doesn’t fight in general.

Frank vs. Hazel

Frank because he turned into a puppy and Hazel completely forgot they were sparring because… well, now there’s a puppy. That takes priority.
