How Peter became the Traitor

Per request by @petalstofish, here's how I think that Peter was turned. Head canon style because I'm not writing this 160k fic.

Background and basic assuptions

Peter was a pureblood, but not a wealthy pureblood the way James and Sirius were. He was accepted in Voldemort's circles, had the privilege of his blood status, but without the connections that money brings. They weren't poor, just not "live off my Gringotts vaults" rich.

Peter is smart. Maybe not as naturally talented as James and Sirius, but he's not dumb. He's also clever, and not nearly as charismatic as James and Sirius.

All four Marauders were incredibly close by the time they graduated. They would have trusted each other with anything and everything. There were no signs of betrayal from anyone.

After they graduated, James moved in with Lily, Remus moved in with Sirius, and Peter lived alone–regardless of if this happened immediately or if James moved out of a flat with Sirius when he married Lily and Remus moved in (also, with or without Wolfstar)

As happens after school, they drifted apart. They just don't see each other as much, and that naturally created space.

When they left school, all four of them were committed to fighting for the Order. James and Sirius didn't even look for jobs and committed themselves to the Order. Remus tried to find work, but couldn't keep a job more than a few months. Peter had to work, and had some low level job at the Ministry with a boss who couldn't remember his name.

Voldemort was looking for an Order spy, and charged the Death Eaters to convert someone.

The Corruption of Peter Pettigrew

Peter was out on a mission, and something went wrong. He ended up alone and cornered by a single death eater without his wand. He thought he was going to die as the death eater approached, wand gripped in his hand, when the DE suddenly stopped. "Peter Pettigrew?" The DE pulled off his mask, and it's Lucius Malfoy. Peter remembers him from school. He was a few years older than the Marauders, and a perfect, and Peter remembers being a little in awe of him. "I haven't seen you in years, Peter. I can't believe it's you." Lucius lets him go, makes it feel a bit like a favor and a happy meet up. Peter never told anyone. No one would believe him, right?

Peter starts seeing Lucius around, and Lucius always acknowledges him. A smile, a handshake, a kind word. It throws him off, because Lucius is a death eater and they're supposed to be bad, right? But he's so kind to Peter.

Meanwhile, Peter is feeling distanced from the Marauders. They are sworn to secrecy about their missions more often than not, so that makes it hard to talk. Plus, Remus and Sirius live together, and it seems like they're always with James anyway. In reality, James and Sirius just pop over to each other's houses, but Peter hears it as, "Remember the other day when you said... Oh Pete, I wish you were there." James and Sirius just show up at each other's place, and Peter always waits for an invite, which makes him feel left out.

Lucius invites him to a party. It's not a DE thing, just a party. James also had an invite, and he laughs with Sirius at the Order meeting that he would never go to that nonsense. Peter decides to go. He's never been invited before. It can't be bad, right? The minister is there, and his boss, and people seem happy to see him. This happens a few times. Dinner parties, weddings, etc.

Lucius invites Peter to drinks one day, and they go to some dingy pub with no one Peter recognizes. They just talk, and Peter goes home feeling happy. Lucius is his friend.

The indoctrination starts slow. Didn't you hear about the crazy muggle riot? I've never understood how the muggles are so violent. It's not really fair that muggleborn was selected for that position over someone as deserving as you. We don't want to kill all muggleborns, that's preposterous. We just want those of us who are deserving to get what we are owed. Like you, Peter. Don't you think you deserve better?

Eventually, Peter starts questioning things. It's hard to stay passionate about the cause when he doesn't have James and Sirius passionately defending it. What Lucius says makes sense. The muggles do seem violent, and it isn't fair that Margaret was picked over him, and they don't want to kill muggleborns.

One day, Lucius invites Peter to dinner at Malfoy Manner. It's a special occasion, he tells him, so wear your best. Peter shows up, and it's just Lucius and Narcissa, who greets him with a kiss to the cheek and a how've you been, and Voldemort, sitting at the head of the table. Peter is a little intimidated at first, but Voldemort is charming and talks to Peter, and he doesn't seem evil or corrupt. When they leave, Voldemort shakes his hand and tells him it was very nice to meet him.

James and Lily announce their pregnant, and suddenly everything is about the baby. All they talk about is the baby, and Peter doesn't even like babies.

Lucius tells him on the next night out that Voldemort was really thrilled with him and thought he was great. Lucius gets him a promotion at work, and his boss starts calling him by name. Lucius says that Voldemort thought he was far too smart to waste away in that low position, so he pulled some strings.

Dumbledore is secretive, and the mood around the Order is dark. They don't feel like they're winning.

Voldemort is kind and courteous, passing messages through Lucius, and Peter gets the occasional gift too. Nothing big, but just kindness.

Peter share secrets...

Eventually, Peter is having dinner with Lucius and Voldemort, and he mentions how on his last mission, they were watching one of the DE safe houses. At the next Order meeting, Moody is ranting about how they need to be more discreet because their operation must have been found and the DE moved safehouses. Peter realizes that he was the cause.

Lucius tells him that they just moved the safehouse so no one would get hurt. No one wants a confrontation that could result in injuries. Peter definitely didn't want any injuries. Lucius tells Peter that he helped save lives, and if he wants to share any other information so that they can make sure no one gets hurt, then that would be a good thing. Peter thinks that might be okay, and shares information when it seems like it's not that big of a deal.

Lucius and Peter continue meeting, though Peter doesn't see Voldemort again. However, Lucius is always quick to pass Voldemort's praise for the help he gives.

Everything goes fine until Fabian and Gideon die. Peter had told Lucius about the mission they were on, and it's the first time that his information resulted in someone dying. Lucius is remorseful, truly. They hadn't meant to kill the Prewetts, but they fought back and it was a them or us situation. Peter tells Lucius that he won't pass information anymore, and Lucius tells him that it is a mistake. More people will die if Peter doesn't, and doesn't he want to show the Dark Lord how grateful he is for the things he's done? Peter relents, and agrees to pass more information.

Peter makes sure that he never tells them about missions that involve James, Sirius or Remus, not if he can help it. There was a close call with James switching in for Edgar Bones, but they were fine.

Caradoc Dearborn goes missing on a mission Peter told Lucius about. They don't know if he's dead, but he must be, right? Peter asks Lucius, who just smiles and tells him not to worry about Caradoc. He won't say anything more, but it sits uncomfortably in Peter's gut.

Peter still passes information, but only small stuff. Little things that don't really matter. Lucius sighs each time and asks him if that's all.

The Order knows there's a spy, and he hears whispers about it. No one suspects him, of course. No one thinks he is capable. They suspect Sirius, the Black Family Heir. They suspect Remus, who comes back from every mission he can't talk about in a darker mood. Peter adds in that Remus seems to be hiding something, not that he really thinks he is, but maybe they won't suspect Peter if they think it's Remus. They always nod and say Remus is acting odd.

From secrets to spy

Lucius starts demanding more information, and Peter is hesitant at first. He was just supposed to keep people safe, right? It doesn't feel safe anymore. Then there's a mission where James almost dies, and it tears Peter apart. Peter demands that Lucius protect his friends, and Lucius turns cold. Why should we? You've stopped giving us information. This is war, and they are losing. Don't you want to be on the side of the winners?

Peter is out on a mission with Edgar Bones, and they are cornered. It's Lucius, though he doesn't remove his mask this time. However, he declares Peter as the spy and says that he should have told them he'd be here, and they wouldn't have come. Edgar realizes what's going on, and looks at Peter in shock. The DE disappear, and Edgar tells Peter he's going to tell Dumbledore what he did. Peter goes home, certain the Order is coming for him.

It's 24 hours before he hears anything, and he gets a summons saying there's an emergency Order meeting. Peter goes, assuming it's a trap. At the meeting, Dumbledore gravely tells them that Edgar Bones and all his family were gruesomely killed. No one knows why they were targeted.

Peter gets home, and there's an unsigned note on the table. It says that they took care of Edgar, and stopped his owl to Dumbledore. Next time, they might not bother.

The Order is afraid. Their numbers are dwindling. The mood is bad, and everyone is afraid of losing. Remus and Sirius are fighting, and James tries to meditate, but he's got a wife and a new kid, and they mostly forget Peter.

Peter is afraid, and he doesn't want to be on the losing side, and he's met Voldemort! He's not that bad. So Peter tells Lucius that he'll do it. He'll be the spy.

Lucius tells Peter that Voldemort is questioning his loyalty, and he needs to make a showing of it. Peter has to kill Marlene, and if he doesn't, Lucius has been ordered to kill Peter and then take out Marlene, and that then they'll start making their way through the Marauders. Peter likes Marlene, but if the choice is between Marlene and the Marauders, then Peter has to choose his friends.

Peter knows he could never take Dorcas, so he waits until Marlene mentions going to visit her family. Dorcas is on a mission, so it will just be Marlene and her muggle family, and Peter can handle that. It'll be fine. Lucius comes along to make sure he does it, and he does.

The funerals for Marlene and her family are sad, but Peter is praised and lauded by Voldemort. He's given another promotion at work. Peter thinks he made the right choice. He can protect his friends and still be on the winning side.

Dorcas goes after Voldemort, believing that he gave the order to kill Marlene. Peter isn't there when it happens, but Lucius tells him that Voldemort told her that Peter did it. Dorcas was going to go and kill Peter, but Voldemort killed her first. Voldemort saved Peter. What the Order learns about her death confirms the story, as much as they can.

Peter continues passing information, protecting his friend but giving Voldemort the strategic advantage. The order starts wondering why the Marauders are untouched. Everyone looks at Remus.

The prophecy comes to light, and the Potters go into hiding. Remus and Sirius are fighting more than ever, and Peter barely sees any of them.

Voldemort asks Peter about his friend and their baby. Peter blows it off--it's not Harry, definitely not. He won't be Voldemort's downfall. Voldemort tells him that he's probably right, but Peter could get them access to the baby anyway, right? If they wanted to, if they could prove it was him.

Things get darker around the Order. The Longbottoms and the Potters are both hiding, and there are so few people left to fight. Lucius keeps asking Peter how to get to the Potters, and Peter suggests the Longbottoms instead. Anything to protect James.

Word reaches the order that Voldemort is targetting the Potters, and they start looking into more powerful protection spells.

Voldemort and Lucius start putting more pressure on Peter, that he must tell them how to get the Potters. Pressure becomes threats, that they can get Peter wherever he is. Peter resists.

Dumbledore gathers the Marauders and tells them that he has a spell to hide them, but it will require someone holding the secret of their location. Tensions are high among the Marauders, and it's not clear that any of them trust each other.

Peter goes on a mission with Benji Fenwick, and they're caught by Lucius and Voldemort himself. Voldemort asks Peter for the Potter's location, and Peter refuses. Voldemort says that the time is coming for Peter to tell the truth. He won't allow Peter to keep the secret much longer. Voldemort turns his wand on Benji, who is eviscerated. Peter is trembling and covered in blood when the Order comes to help.

Sirius is set to be James's secret keeper, and they plan to keep Remus out of it. Sirius says Remus can't be trusted. James is still hesitant, believing Remus would never betray them. "We're Marauders, Padfoot. We protect each other."

The idea comes to Peter, then. A way to get out of it. He tells James and Sirius that he should be the secret keeper. Remus will expect Sirius--everyone will expect Sirius. Sirius thinks it's brilliant. Lily agrees that it's for the best. James is the last hold out, but finally agrees when Peter tells him that they can make it up to Remus if they are wrong, as long as they all survive. James agrees.

Peter goes immediately to Voldemort. On Halloween, Voldemort holds a meeting of his closest followers, praising Peter for being so loyal and dedicated to the cause. He leaves immediately to kill the Potters.

Traitor

When Peter hears that Voldemort was bested by Harry, he knows he's in trouble. Sirius is definitely coming for him, but so are all the Death Eaters who were told that Peter caused this. He's making plans to hide, knowing that being a rat is his best chance to avoid everyone but Sirius. Unfortunately, Sirius finds him first.

Sirius is yelling at him, in the middle of the street, when it occurs to him. He'll still have to hide as a rat, but he can blame it on Sirius and no one will know better. Everyone knows that Sirius was the secret keeper. It's the best solution, really.

No one: Literally no one: My brain when I have exams: Now what AUs can I come up with...?

Okay, but like.

Harry Potter and the 12 Dancing Princesses AU, but it's the Weasleys.

And also there is literally no similarities, bUT think about it!

During the First Wizarding War, let's say that 'Oh no! Molly and Arthur die!', which leaves Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred and George parentless. The Weasley parents die before Ron and Ginny are born, so basically they aren't characters in this.

But like, imagine the Marauders looking after them while the war is still happening, so the five of them have a nice life until Voldemort kills James and Lily, which causes Sirius's arrest, Lupin having to go into hiding and Peter, well, Peter is still there but as a rat, so they're parentless again.

So, this time they were officially adopted by the Malfoys, but they don't particularly care for them and are more intent in getting out their 'blood traitorness' removed from them, by enforcing rules and schedules and not letting them have time for themselves.

Of course, this would be in the Daily Prophet as it looks like Lucius and Narcissa are 'becoming good people' by adopting a bunch of kids, but because it's in the newspaper, Sirius would see Peter Pettigrew in the paper, essentially moving the whole of the Prisoner of Azkaban plot 10+ years earlier.

Anyway, so Bill goes off to Hogwarts, leaving Charlie, Percy and the twins alone with the Malfoys. George manages to befriend Dobby, while Fred attempts to find as many loopholes in the rules as possible. Percy is convinced the only way they'd be able to escape the Manor is when Bill graduates, but Charlie is determined to get out earlier than that.

One day, they're all sitting around the table together and Lucius mentions that Sirius has escaped Azkaban. Charlie and Percy can remember the times when they lived with him and are sure that he is coming to save them.

During the Christmas holidays, Bill comes home and they whisper to him about the news of Sirius, causing them all to be on the lookout for him, in case they spot him walking past.

(They never do, but they see a dog passing by a number of times.)

One day, Sirius sneaks inside the Malfoy Manor with the help of Dobby, and reveals himself inside their room one night.

Immediately, Charlie tells him how bad their life sucks now, and asks him to take them back. Sirius, who didn't even think they were living with the Malfoys and who just wanted to kill Pettigrew, reluctantly agrees as long as they bring the rat.

However, Lucius was creeping around at night, and enters the room at the noise. Bill starts stuttering an excuse, but Sirius is just about ready to rip his throat out, so Lucius pulls out his wand while Sirius grabs Bill's.

Now, obviously they duel, but Lucius wins because he's using his own wand and Sirius is tired enough as it is. And just like great parenting, he punishes the kids for Sirius's break in.

As a silent rebellion, George asks Dobby if there's a secret area they could go where Lucius couldn't find them. He shows them some sort of a 'Room of Requirement' in their room and they spend time in there instead of sleeping, feeling thrilled about disobeying behind Lucius's back.

Like in the original film, Lucius begins to become suspicious as they keep falling asleep during their breakfast. He finds out about the 'Room of Requirement' via Dobby because of how the loyalty thing works, and manages to get inside and tries to burn down the room while they're in there.

Fortunately for the Weasleys, Sirius has recruited Remus after telling him about Peter and Lucius and they arrive just in time to save the children.

While Sirius is going off at Lucius, Remus is seriously close on murdering Peter. The Weasleys are horrified that Scabbers was indeed not Scabbers but the man who they had viewed as a parental figure. Remus tells George to tell Dobby to apparate them to Grimmauld Place.

And basically Sirius is declared innocent as they give the evidence of Peter's betrayal to the Ministry and he legally adopts the Weasleys again, with Remus helping raise them up.

Dumbledore: an ancient relic: the Multiversal and Temporal Box. I trapped your corrupt spell inside it and once I finish the proper ritual it will reverse the spell and send those guys back to their universes and their timelines

Snape: and then what?! We die?!

Peter Pettigrew: No no thanks Gandalf! I pass on that!

Quirrell: Let me out of here! Harry!

Harry: Dumbledore. We can't send them back. Not yet

Dumbledore: why not?

Harry: because some of those guys are gonna die

Dumbledore: Harry. It's their fate

Unpopular Harry Potter Opinions because I'm feeling nostalgic.

TW: EMOTIONAL INCEST, PARENTAL ABUSE

I don't like Snape and I'm nuetral for Dumbledore, but some of you are a little too hard on them.

I do like the Maurauders era, but that is because the boys are flawed. They're intersting characters.

I also don't really ship that much in Harry Potter as a while. Just Perciver and occasionally Plantseeker (And Ronks is cute).

I used to like Wolfstar, but the fandom ruined it.

Saying that the Maurauder fans are better than the Golden Trio fans is just "I'm Not Like Other Girls" energy.

I get that you're frustrated Hermionie is the main character but you need to let her live. She is a teenager, she isn't going to be perfect.

I don't care that much for Ginny. In the first three (four?) books, her character truly had potential, and then I just didn't care enough about her. Hinny isn't a bad relationship, it's a boring one.

I cannot believe I have to write this, but Harry and Hermionie are not incest. Not only do those words mean two different things, in the context of what anti Harmionies are describing, but people being like siblings is not the same as actually being siblings.

Peter Pettigrew was smart. He was one of the best villains of the series, and he shouldn't be ignored.

It's not that big of a deal to say Bellatrix is your favorite character. No one is excusing her actions.

I don't like Molly Weasley, but I think it was a good choice to make her kill Bellatrix, leaning into the motherhood love theme that JK R*wling was going for.

Harry, Ron, and Hermionie saved the school, Neville got the courage to do something he wasn't ready to do, and the Slytherins won the house cup for six years. The Gryffindors deserved the house cup this year.

If anything, Peter Pettigrew should be a Ravenclaw.

(Not really an unpopular opinion, just one that isn't talked about often) The first three movies were amazing, fourth and sixth movies were a 4 through 6 out of ten, and the rest are solid 7/10 movies.

There definitely needs to be more diversity in Harry Potter, and JKR is a terf and I hate her, but I don't think every single ship would have been together if she weren't one. Also keep in mind that these books take place in the 90s. I don't think she'd make any of them gay in the books itself if it wasn't, but this particular situation was not just her being a coward.

That being said, I will never defend JK Rowling.

The worst DADA teacher, as a teacher, was Lockhart. As a human, it was obviously Umbridge.

The Starkid Harry Potter musicals aren't that good. Potter Puppet Pals, on the other hand? I love them.

The Cursed Child is fine on its own.

Let people call themselves Potterheads if they want. It doesn't effect you in any way.

None of the deaths struk me as that sad, besides Cedric's and Colin's.

I don't like Draco, I think Draco's home life should be explored. Not a redemption arc, but to understand why he turned out this way. If his parents didn't actively abuse him, they definitely taught him their values.

Shipping Hedric is wrong, but saying Harry had a crush on Cedric is fine.

Ron isn't a character that I ever cared about.

* it was October 31st , James and Lily had died , Sirius had arrived and was devastated , he saw that his best friend and his other best friend had been killed , and he couldn't save them , peter Pettigrew was arrested and sent to Azkaban because Sirius spoke the truth because of Veritaserum and everyone believed him , hence Remus and Sirius had adopted Harry in honour of his parents and as the godfathers , Harry grew up in a safe , loving , and non-abusive home , Sirius and Remus made sure that he was loved because they didn't want Harry grow up in a household like their's , they wanted the best for Harry , Harry was more confident , more mature , and was more sassy and iconic , at the age 11 , he knew how to defend himself and knew a lot of stuff about magic , Sirius and Remus were proud when Harry , Hermione and Ron formed the Golden Trio , since he was bought up in a queer household , he had never been exposed to homophobia , but he was shocked to know that something like homophobia exists , but he was already out and proud as a bisexual , whenever he would come home for his christmas holidays , he would keep on rambling about his new crushes , and Sirius and Remus would patiently since they knew , eventually he would start developing attractions and encouraged the fact that its normal , when Harry was in the 3rd year , he started to fall for draco , but didn't know what to do , so as he usually did , he spoke to his gaurdians , so when the christmas vacations rolled around , he thought of asking about advice from his moomy and dadfoot *

Chapter 2

Chapter Characters: Severus Snape, Lily Evans, James Potter, Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew (mentioned), and Sirius Black

The very next day came along and Severus slowly opened his eyes to see that he had fallen asleep on the couch with Lily right besides him. He slowly stood up and gently laid Lily down so she wouldn't wake and made his towards the kitchen. Before Severus could reach his destination a soft knock was heard on the door, he let out a soft whimper not wanting to deal with people aside from his sister.

He walked towards the door and opened it while letting out a yawn "What..." he whined softly as he saw Sirius standing there. "Good morning to you too princess" Sirius said while smiling "I came by to see how my favorite serial killer was doing" he added.

Severus glared at him not liking being called princess but soon perked up at being called a serial killer "I'm fine, I got a few cuts on my arm from yesterday but I'm fine. I was gonna make breakfast" He said tiredly while smiling. "That's good to hear, well since I'm here why don't I make you and Lily breakfast so you both can fully relax after what happened yesterday" Sirius said as he walked inside.

He always saw Severus as like a little brother and did his best to protect him and his other brother Regulus. Tho since Regulus moved to America Sirius spent his time helping protect Severus even more so since finding out he was the one commiting all those murders since their teenage years.

Severus closed the door as Sirius walked in and quickly hopped onto his back while giggling softly. Sirius staggered a bit but caught his balance and made his way to the couch in the living room. He knelt down in front of the couch so that Severus could sit on it, once Severus moved from his back to the couch did he get up. "You stay there and I'll go make breakfast" Sirius said as he motioned for Severus to stay.

Severus simply nodded and grabbed the remote to turn on the TV to see what was on the news. Sirius walked off towards the kitchen to get started, he looked into the fridge to see what he should make and decided to make some omelettes. Severus watched as the news talked about the murders from yesterday that were caused by yours truly.

"You'll never catch me" Severus said mockingly to the TV and began to laugh hysterically, his laughter came to stop as pillow came in contact with his face. "Ok rude!" He said with fake offence which just made Lily laugh "Well you woke me up with your stupid laughter, what's so funny anyways? and who's making breakfast?" She asked in confusion as she wiped the tiredness from her eyes.

"Siri is making breakfast and I'm laughing cause the cops are putting out wanted posters for me" he said happily while hugging the pillow Lily had hit him with "It feels like Siri is our personal maid" Lily said quietly, both her and Severus began to giggle hysterically at that.

Another knock was heard from the door which caused the pair to stop giggling "I got it!" Lily shouted excitedly, she always got excited when people came to visit unless it was cops then she did her best not to try and shoot them or burn the house down. Lily opened the door and was greeted by the sight of her dear friend Remus "Hi Remus, what's up" she said happily. "Hi Lily, I'm looking for Sirius" He said softly "He's inside, come in" She stepped aside to let Remus walk in, Remus nodded and stepped inside the house and made his way to the living room.

"Hi Remy!!" Severus said happily from the couch "Hi Severus" Remus said and sat down next to him. Severus smiled and hugged him tightly "Siri guess who came to visit!!!" he said out loud. "I pray to God it's not my mother" Sirius said as he stepped out of the kitchen "Isn't your mother dead?" Remus questioned as he looked over at Sirius to see him wearing a pink apron. "Don't you dare say a word, I'll end you or I'll get someone to end you for me" Sirius threatened as he remembered about the apron he was wearing due to Remus's trying to hold in his laughter.

"Got it" Remus held up his hands in defense while smiling "So Remus why are you here?" Lily asked as she walked over to Sirius and removed the apron from him. "I came to see if Sirius was here and since he is we got a call from your boss they need you and James to head down to the station" Remus said as he stood up "Has James left already or is he still at the house?"

"No he's still home waiting for you, he says you got 10 minutes to head to the car before he leaves without you" Remus said which caused Sirius to groan "Ugh, I bet it's about Severus" Remus stared at him in confusion "Why would they talk about Severus?" "Because I accidentally hit a cop car when coming back home from work" Severus said as both Lily and Sirius let out a breath of relief. Sirius kept forgetting that Remus didn't know that Severus of was "Nevermore the killer raven".

Remus stared at the three of them with completely utter confusion "Right....well I gotta head home before Peter tries to cook" he said "Bye Sev, bye Lils" he added before walking off. Sirius followed him after saying his own goodbye and telling them that their breakfast was on the table. Severus and Lily smiled happily and waved goodbye to their friends before going into the kitchen to eat.

Down at the station Sirius and James sat in their bosses room with several other cops discussing what to do about Nevermore and how to catch him. "I think Sev should stop with the killings for a few days" James said and right as he said that the door to the office was thrown open "Sir there's been another murder!" The officer said quickly "Nevermore?" Questioned the Chief of police, the officer who barged in nodded which caused the Chief to practically scream.

Both James and Sirius turned to look at each other with nothing but annoyance and concern on their faces. "Black, Potter! Quit staring at each other and go find this Nevermore bastard!!!!" The Chief shouted out in pure anger. The pair stood up quickly and nodded before rushing out of the room "We gotta find sev" James said quietly "And we gotta do it fast" Sirius added as they both run out of the building.

They were safe in their ancestral home, but their mental health was deteriorating as rapidly as the curtains, and they were well aware that if they didn't have human connection, they'd lose their mind. And letters were untraceable when one lived in a house protected by the Fidelius charm. So, they were writing letters to basically every person they knew who might possibly still be alive. The people they actually knew--or had known--well were the hardest.

I know you likely guessed I'm alive because of the news. I am sorry if I scared you, Marls, with the breakout. I didn't want to hurt anyone. I never wanted to hurt anyone (who wasn't a Death Eater). I didn't kill those people, Marlene. You have to know that, right? Peter did. Then he faked his own death, the filthy sneaky, son of a bastard rat . It wasn't my fault.

I know how that sounds, but I mean it. It's the truth.

If you were scared, you don't have to be. It's still just me.

Do you hate me? Do you remember what I looked like when I laughed? Do you want to hear me out? Will you anyway?

Drunk Confessions

This is an entry from my eldest for my writing Bingo.

Drunk Confession - Vincent (OC) and Peter / Line without a hook

It was their final year at Hogwarts and with it being their final year then obviously the boys would go full on out for a Halloween party. There hadn't been a lot of them, no, but there was music, food, great costumes and a little drinking. The group to meet up at the Shrieking Shack on this Hallows Eve happened to be the marauders - consisting of James Potter, Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew and Remus Lupin- followed by one Lily Evans and a Vincent Daae. The moon was bright in the sky yet not full, to the relief of Remus, as they began to meet up at about seven in the evening. The first to be there, early of course, were Sirius and Remus who'd been decorating the place to give it more of a spooky atmosphere. Not that it needed to be changed much for that effect. The next two had been James and Peter, the smaller male being the records they'd kept in their dorm room as requested whilst the boy with glasses had managed to sneak a couple bottles of firewisky over to let everyone get a little looser that night. Finally though, coming a few minutes later than planned due to some finishing touches on their costumes, where the Gryffindor girl and Slytherin boy.

Each person's costume seemed to match with another's, two pairs purposely whilst the final one being a coincidence. First happened to be Lily and James who finally managed to hook up that year. Hook up being she'd gone on a few dates with him but their relationship had not been official yet. The two had agreed before that they would go as the famous couple from grease, Sandy and Danny, with Lily going for more of the character's early movie style rather than her outfit at the end. James, however, had 'borrowed' one of Sirius' leather jackets to use for the costume and had actually bothered to comb his hair back to make it less of the casual mess it usually was. The second duo happened to be Sirius and Remus as Han and Leia. The original suggestion from Sirius had been for Han and Chewy but Remus refused, resulting in Sirius handing over his costume idea to the boy whilst he borrowed a white dress from Marlene. His hair, he was impressed with, having managed to put it up similarly but not exact to how it had been. When Remus first saw him in the costume, he'd tried not to laugh, but in all honesty he'd admitted it did look good in him.

The final pairing happened to be Peter and Vincent who'd accidentally ended up as Morticia and Gomez Addams. Vincent's dress hadn't been taken from anyone without their permission unlike with the clothes Sirius and James had, but rather sent over to him by his mother from his cousin when hearing about his plan. He felt relieved it had been the long black sleeved dress instead of the other one. Peter had been given the suggestion for the outfit off Remus when he confessed that he'd just show up dressed in his normal clothes. Come to the awkward moment when the third wheels of the two relationships see each other, not knowing whether the others had somehow planned things out to go this way or if it had merely been a coincidence.

Moving on into the evening now, Queen had been playing as the drinking had more than begun. Sirius and James had been some of the most heavy drinkers that evening, only beaten out by Vincent to most of their surprise. To people like Sirius and James he'd seemed like one of those more quiet and responsible kids who'd be prefect or head boy, but to Lily this hadn't been a shock since she'd known the guy better than the rest of the boy's. The one's to drink the least were then Remus and Lily, with Peter holding the record for least intoxicated after having a shot offered to him by James and not liking the taste, thus refusing to continue with the drinking.

As it grew even later it appeared as if James and Lily had already begun to head back to the castle to call it a night whilst Remus and Sirius stayed close to each other, having a slow dance to a few more songs. Peter found his leaning against the wall and watching the two, smiling a bit at how well they went together but also finding his eyes occasionally wandering to the only non-Gryffindor to have shown up. He'd wanted to talk to him all evening yet hadn't found the chance to due to the music being blast, James interrupting him on many occasions and the small fact that over the past week he'd been getting the silent treatment from the boy. He'd not even been sure why the Slytherin had avoided him, feeling as if it might have not been his fault but more of James and Sirius' reputation with pranks, especially more harsher ones towards the other boy's house. Hell, James had previously planned a prank to do on the boy that evening but stayed off it when he'd started hitting things off with Lily better than ever. With one of his small looks over to Vincent, however, he'd noticed he'd started to move out of the room with one of the bottles that neither of them had managed to finish. The smaller boy couldn't help but follow, curious and still hoping he could finally talk with him.

When looking around the old and abandoned house, He found the other boy sitting on the windowsill of one of the upstairs rooms, the bottle being a bit more empty as it stood on the windowsill too. When hearing the creak of the floorboards in the doorway, Vincent had looked over to find Peter standing there and stayed silent for a moment as he just stared at him. "Hey Vince… Um… I wanted to talk…" The Gryffindor was the first to speak between the two as he moved into the room a bit more, scratching the back of his head.

Vincent ended up moving from the sill as he left the bottle on the side, still keeping his eyes on Peter as he listened to the silence break. His next few words seemed to come out of nowhere as the taller of the two traced the others face with a finger before lifting his chin up to look at his face. "I don't really give a damn about the way you touch me when we're alone…" The words actually sounded as if they were meant but it had just appeared from nothing as the blonde had lost whatever words he was going to use on the other boy. He'd not expect to hear this, especially after a week of hearing nothing. Moving his hand from his chin however, Vincent began to take Peter's hand and grip it just a bit. It wasn't too tight, more soft but still with the intent of not wanting to let go. "You can hold my hand if no one's home…"

The Slytherin looked from the other's face down towards their hands as he hesitated for a moment before letting out a brief question "Do you like it when I'm away?" Peter assumed that this was in regards to their lack of conversation and tried to get his words out, being a hard no in reply as he'd found the other's presents to be quite pleasant, not that he'd tell the others that. However he'd still been somewhat flustered with the previous statements and actions towards him making his reaction appare a bit more delayed. This resulted in another question shot towards him as Vincent let go of his hand and put a bit of space between the two of them as he quietly mumbled "If I went and hurt my body, baby, would you love me the same?"

This was even more jarring then the first few statements, making a blush finally form onto the Gryffindors face as he began to feel his own hand, finding it hard to believe the situation he'd now found himself in. He felt concerned about how the other was acting at this moment, wondering how he could help before then hearing "I can feel all my bones coming back and… I'm… craving motion…" With this, Pete looked from his own hands to the face of the taller boy which now also hosted a Crimson shade rather than the usual pale completion that's found on the boy's face, a lip bite also in process.

The blonde wanted to get to the bottom of whatever this appeared to be and knew he'd actually needed to start asking questions instead of submitting to the raven haired boy. "Is everything okay at home?" Happened to be the first thing he could think of digging into since he'd known his homelife to be a little… Complicated. His father had abandoned them when he'd been younger and he'd had to live with just him and his mother, somewhat relatable to the Gryffindor, with the only difference really being that for Vincent he had his older cousin who happened to be a squib that would visit often to help out. He'd doubt there would be problems now he thought of it more but he needed to just check in case of anything that might be an issue. "Momma never really learned how to live by herself…" was given as a quiet reply with a nervous chuckle and a slight shrug proceeding that. It had been followed by a somewhat mouthed 'not like it matters' meaning he'd definitely been trying to move down the wrong rabbit hole at this moment.

He got more of an answer though when following this was "It's a curse… And it's growing…" Ah, so this was more of a magical problem. He'd been hex or something then? Peter felt this might have James' written all over it before then getting the slightly muffled of "You're a pond and I'm an Ocean…" which brought a bit of confusion to him. When thinking about it a bit more, the curse bit could have been more metaphorical then literally, but that still didn't really give the blonde much of a hint to the issue with the raven haired boy.

"All my emotions… Feel like… explosion," Vincent could notice the Gryffindor struggling to understand him and he continued to try getting his feelings across as best as he could. He usually had a way with words but being as intoxicated as he was, it was hard to think of what to say. The first things that came to his mind appeared to be what he was saying. "When you are around… And… I've found a way to kill the sound?"

Peter watched the taller male stumble over his words as he tried to put things together, coming to sort of a conclusion which kept him heating up at the thought he might actually be right with it. He couldn't actually be saying he liked him in that way though… Right. He'd just refused to talk to him for a whole week after all so why would he? In an attempt to convince himself otherwise, Pete began to make excuses to the Slytherin. "Vincent, you're a bit drunk… More than a bit. I don't think you know what you're saying," was the first excuse he gave to which he got a head shake back, not to the drunk part but the not knowing what he was saying.

"Then maybe… Of course, Padfoot or Prongs must have laced your drink with Amortentia!" appeared to be the next one he gave to get a verbal response of "I said no…" from Vince.

"Well you wouldn't realise if you drank it beca---"

"I said no…"

Before Pete could even get another word out about this theory, Vincent put a finger over his lips and sighed as he looked the other boy in the eyes. "Listen close… It's a no…" The raven haired hair mumbled once again before making sure the Gryffindor wasn't going to say another word about it to which he moved his finger, thinking once again on how to explain. He should have probably moved away from the poeting replies he was trying but the boy occasionally had a flare for the dramatic. "The wind is a pounding on my back, and I've found hope in a heart attack…"

With this, the mood of his words appeared to shift as if in a small moment he'd realised something. He'd realised something about how even I'd he got his message across then there wouldn't even be a point due to the other's disbelief. It was at this time there was a scruple in the boy's confession as he looked away from the Gryffindor. "Oh, at last… It has passed…" He shook his head just slightly, moving towards the windowsill once again with a pause when he reached it, turning back for a moment as he didn't look at Peter then he clutched one of his hands over where his heart was. "No I've got it… And you can't have it…"

Of course Pete would notice the change in his story and realised that he wouldn't really learn the source of the problem proceeding like he was. He couldn't just deny this guy, or rather he could but he didn't want to. There was a mixture of him for different reasons he didn't want to and so, to hopefully get back to the track and confession he was looking for, the gryffindor asked another question. "Why now…? Of all times to tell me this, why is it now?" It was one of the main things he wanted to know anyway, curious to why after a week of silence this would come out. Curious to why the week of silence still too.

"Darling…" When the word came out, Vincent hesitated for a moment on whether or not he'd should have used it before deciding he couldn't go back. It had escaped already so there was no point in holding back. "When I'm fast asleep, I see this person watching me… Saying…" The words grew slowly as he began to turn away again, his glacé heading towards one of his arms as he rubbed it a bit. "Is it worth it?" This came out as a mumble before the slytherin repeated more louder "Is it worth it?"

The blonde continued to listen to the Raven haired boy as he thought of what 'it' could be in regards to. He'd moved closer as he began to stand next to the other male. When Vince had noticed he took a breath in, looked over to the Gryffindor and asked once more "Tell me, is it worth it?" As the words came out, Peter caught himself getting lost in the other's newly damp yet lilac ocean of eyes. He'd not been lying before, they were with his own appearing like ponds compared to the deepness of what he'd stared into. It felt like the words that had been going into his ears had been an incantation to draw him closer and trap him yet this moment soon ended as quickly as it came about when the Slytherin turned away once more, hugging himself in silence for a moment.

"Are you okay?" Yes, it did seem a bit of a stupid question to ask in this moment when it was obvious the other boy was getting emotional in this moment but Peter knew that Vincent needed to hear these words. He needed to hear that the Gryffindor cared about him and how he was feeling, and with hearing this the other boy began to explain more clearly, touching slightly on the reason for that week's silence. "cause… There is something and there is nothing… there is nothing in between," in being more clear, it didn't mean he was going to stop in trying to be poetic however. "And in my eyes there is a tiny dancer, watching over me… He's singing…"

These next lines made Peter realise where'd he'd gone wrong and this brought him a sense of guilt. He felt guilty about the fact he'd not realised how obvious it had been, of course it was. The other week he was short on money before the group was going to head to Hogsmead and as a dare off James so he could get some extra money, he was told to tell Marlene that he smelt her in his Amortentia. And thus, he did, which ended in a small rumor, an awkward kiss off Marlene that neither of them wanted and him getting paid more than he was offered from a hysterical James. Of course he'd realised this was the problem upon the words "He, he wants a lady and I am just a boy…"

He didn't even like girls, he was just desperate and hadn't thought about it at the time. Yet, now, here he was with a guy who'd been crushing on him for who knows how long now thinking he had no chance from assuming the blonde was straight. His early assumption about this involving James and Amortentia hadn't been too far off, then. Just how they were involved was slightly different. To hurt even more however, the drunken slytherin had to go ahead and repeat the line again with more emotion and emphasis. "He's singing, He, he wants a lady! And I'm just…" In this moment, Peter placed a hand on Vincent's shoulder in an attempt to calm him down, seemingly working in his favour. "a line… Without… a…"

Silence came between the two, the raven haired male not being able to bring himself to finish before letting tears roll down his face as he reluctantly brought his face to looking at Peter's again. The words to escape him after held a lot of weight as he struggled to get them out through tears. "Oh baby I am a wreck… I need you here to stay…" were the first as he began to take both of the blonde's hands, gripping them tight unlike the first time. "I broke all my bones that day…"

"I found you," Peter began to confess back as he wasn't wrong. The day the silence between them began he had seen Vincent alone yet hadn't approached. He didn't think it was his place two when he was "Crying by the lake…"

Even though now he knew, and definitely KNEW, what the problem had been but needed to have that confirmation just to put the nail in the coffin. "Was it something I said to make you feel like you're a burden?" came out in a soft voice as Pete raised an eyebrow, getting nothing but a pained look from the Slytherin. This had to be a yes to which he followed with a quiet 'oh' before "and if I could take it all back I swear that I…"

The words faded out a bit when the blonde noticed himself getting caught up in the other's eyes again, not even noticing how close they'd gotten at this moment. The raven haired boy, however, did notice the closeness and was determined to close it. "Would pull… You… From…" the shorter had continued but hadn't managed to finish as just before he could let the last words out the other boy had locked lips with him. Even if it didn't last too long, it felt like an eternity. It was just the two of them alone dressed all fancy in an abandoned house now shearing a chaste kiss.

When it had finished, there appeared to be silence as both of them kept their eyes closed and bodies close, both not really believing what had just gone on. Not just the kiss but the entire thing! Nevertheless, Peter never got to finish his sentence to which, after wrapping his arms around the Gryffindor, Vincent leaned into his ear to wispeare two final words to end it for him. "The tide…"

1/9 So this started as a joke & then it fit until it didn't & now I don't know what to do so I'm sending it to you. You don't have to answer it if you don't want to, just take it as a fun (?) ramble. This'll probably be long, sorry. So I was in this conversation about how Teen Wolf missed out on having a big bad. The series long villain. And I made the joke "Well, they could've always stolen from Harry Potter, if they'd wanted to". And then I started thinking about it, if Teen Wolf *had* stolen

from Harry Potter how would that've worked out?

Hey anon! Since this is long, I’m gonna be breaking your ask down and responding to the individual pieces instead of trying to respond to it all at once at the end. Your parts will be bolded and mine won’t be.

First off, I think this is a really fun idea, I love thinking about how characters would fit in other situations. This will be extra tricky, though, since we’re trying to not only parallel characters but also individual season arcs to each of the books. I think what we’re going to end up with, probably, is a lot of elements that we can say connect (this situation is like that situation, this character is similar to that other character in some way) but might not really tie into a coherent narrative on its own. If we want to, we can look at it again later to see how TW could work if it broke more from its own structure and just became more of a loose Harry Potter AU, but for this one I’m mostly just going to focus on similarities and differences.

 Let’s see how we do!

One problem is how you would count the seasons. Are seasons 3A&B 1 season or 2? Either way it doesn't fit. You either end up with 6 seasons and 7 books or with 9 seasons and 7 books. So I took the first option, which leaves me 1 season short. But if TW *had* stolen from HP maybe they would've been more successfull *shrug*. So in the 1st book (very, very roughly summarised) the hero goes against the severely weakened big bad who (we later find 3/9 out) put the hero in this position in the 1st place. When applied to TW season 1 you get: Peter. (Sorry Peter fans, I like him too but for this ramble he's gonna be our big bad.)

There are definitely some fun parallels here. 

We start off with Scott, a slightly awkward and out of place teen, definitely more optimistic than Harry but also in a better place physically than Harry, until one day he’s attacked by a crazed, half-feral Alpha werewolf (just as Harry was attacked by Voldemort, albeit earlier) and is introduced to the supernatural world. This attack, we’ll eventually learn, starts our hero down the path toward becoming a Super Special Chosen One/”True Alpha.” If neither of them had been attacked, chosen, by the Big Bad, this wouldn’t have happened). Scott’s skeptical at first, to say the least, but he’s introduced to new mentors and learns how to start harnessing his new abilities.

Throughout this, Scott seems to have a mysterious connection to the unseen enemy, shown in flashes of headache and visions of what the Alpha is doing. Scott suspects his brooding mentor figure Derek as being the enemy, due to his harsh and closed off attitude, but eventually realizes Derek’s been doing his best to protect him (so yes, Derek’s Snape in this, at least for book one). Eventually they have a showdown with the Big Bad (Alpha Peter and Voldemort), burning him (molotov and physical contact) and seemingly destroying him for good.

(If we wanted to change things up a little at the series’ start to tie in more with HP, we could have Rafael McCall still living with Scott. Having the drunk and generally abusive father still around would pull in more parallels between Scott’s pre-magic home life and Harry’s, and once he learns to harness his abilities he could use them to shift and scare the man into shaping up or getting out.)

The 2nd book: the hero fights a phantom of the big bad, a girl gets possesed by said phantom & a big snake petrifies people. Ok, so that kinda fits. Peter is still the big bad. The only thing that would need to change in seasons 1 & 2 is that Peters resurrection *doesn't* work (that comes later). So no Peter in 4/9 season 3 (what did he do in 3A besides narrate the flashback? who would narrate it now? Cora? what did he do in 3B? show Scott how to enter Stiles mind & anything else?). 

This book/season is my favorite for parallels. 

Ginny/Lydia (both redheaded secondary characters at this point) get taken in by a shadow of the seemingly defeated Big Bad, who appears as an attractive, charismatic young man to gain their trust while insidiously taking over their minds and forcing them to do his bidding and try to resurrect him.

Meanwhile, various people in Beacon Hills are targeted and paralyzed by a snakelike creature, and the heroes make it their mission to discover the guilty party. CoS has a recurring location/theme of bathrooms, while TWs2 has a recurring theme of swimming pools. …I don’t know what to do with that, except that it popped into my head as vaguely parallel :P

There are also a few smaller parallels, like the ineffectual Dueling club Snape and Lockhart co-run, which could be paralleled to Derek’s training sessions with his new betas, and the slightly stalker-esque photographer who runs around after our heroes, snapping pictures. (Yes, poor Colin Creevey is being tied in to Matt here.)

Book 3: a person from the heros past who they think is a villain isnt, a animal is a human and later helps the big bad to life. So for 3A we have, Scotts dad and for 3B Malia? (I kinda get a laugh out of making Scotts dad Sirius, but making Malia Pettigrew? maybe if she had been a villain in TW but with how everyone hates 5/9 her now, ugh) So Peter doesn't show up in 3A&B. Allison doesn't die (yet). Kate doesn't come back. (In HP the dead *stay* dead.) I guess Malia could kidnap Derek but better to keep Mexico for the end of season 4. 

Well, you know I would have loved it if M ended up being a villain, or if there was something more complex to her story to explain all the things that don’t make sense. But... ok, that said, focusing on what actually happened in TW, we could potentially pull in Jennifer as Peter? Someone our group trusts, with a specific tie to one group member in particular, who ends up betraying them and kidnapping some of our heroes to be used in a dark ritual to gain power, there are definitely parallels there. Granted, that’s tying together books three and four, and that’s where this whole parallel starts to break down because I think there are definitely some elements from season three that fit better with book four, for example; not to mention that 3A and 3B are completely different stories with independent villains and climaxes, so trying to fit them both into PoA is just a recipe for confusion. I’m gonna put my focus on 3A, I think.

So we have Jennifer as Pettigrew, disguising herself as a friend until she’s revealed as the murderous Darach. We have our main characters’ loved ones waiting to be executed by dark magic (dementors), with Stiles, Allison, and Scott subbing in for Harry and Hermione to perform potentially dangerous magic (ice bath/time travel) to set them free.

I really want to tie Lupin in to someone but no one’s coming to mind unfortunately.

Which brings me to the next question... do I skip 3B (my favorite season) entirely, or do we try to parallel 3B to book 4? That would fix the six season/seven book problem. But for now I’m gonna stick with season 4/book 4 since that’s what you did. 

So book 4: A competition keeps the heros occupied while the big bad plots his resurrection with someone the hero thinks is on his side & in the end a "friend" dies. So deadpool (hitlist!) = turnament & Meredith is Moody? The season ends in Mexico were Peter with the help of a 6/9 Banshee, kidnapped Derek & *something* from Scott resurrects himself. Maybe Allsion dies. How would Peter resurrect with only Scott knowing? idk 

I’m going to jump in and mention that in the end of season four someone does die dramatically: Derek. And while he does revive afterward (...somehow), he leaves Beacon Hills, leaving the pack noticeably floundering and Stiles in particular moody and desperate to cling to the people he has left. So as far as s4=book 4, I think Derek holds up as a good parallel for that loss. (If we were doing 3B=book 4, Allison would be a good fit.)

The end of the season I think is the best parallel between this book and this season, since the hero is swept away to a new place unexpectedly and made part of a dark ritual. I know you mentioned not wanting Kate back, but she would make a good parallel for someone the group thought was dead (Barty Crouch Jr) who abducts the hero to complete the ritual.

Berserkers sub in for Death Eaters, and as for Peter’s resurrection... however nonsensical, Kate and Peter working together in s4 is canon. And Peter wanted Scott gone and to gain his Alpha power back (at least... I think? His motivation was so nonsensical in s4 but what else is new) so making a deal with Kate to make that happen ties together as well.

So then book 5 (here is where the stories stopped fitting & I couldn't make them either, if you have any ideas go plot): everyone but the hero thinks the big bad is still dead, the hero and the big bad are "connected", a evil teacher appears, there's a prophecy and another "ally" dies. TW season 5: doctors experiment on teenagers, Theo tries to 7/9 get Scott killed, Mason turns into a beast, Peter doesn't show up & a Nazi escapes. So yeah. I got nothing. With Peter as the big bad it could've been interesting. Nobody belives Scott that Peter is back, Peter and Scott share a pack bond, no idea about the prophecy or the teacher, Scotts dad dies? 

So just a reminder/heads up that I stopped watching the show after s4. What I know from the rest of the seasons come from other Tumblr users talking and gifs I’ve seen floating around. s5 was also another split season, meaning we can either choose one arc to parallel the book or try to blend them together into a muddy mess. The main parallel I can think of would be Stiles subbing in for Harry in this one, becoming moody and emotional after a traumatic loss (Derek), damaging his relationships with his closest friends.

Beyond that... yeah, I’m getting nothing.

So onward to book 6: the hero learns how to take the bid bads plot armour, a good guy may be a bad guy afterall & the mentor dies. TW season 6A&B: the wildhunt takes everyones memories, a 8/9 Nazi-werelion (omg) eats peoples brains, an anchient god of fear turns people into stone & Deucalion dies. (This show, I swear). So how would the new season 6A&B work? What is Peters plot armour (Hocruxes)? Does Deaton die? Who is Snape in this scenario? idk but I wish I did. What that season could've been. 

Again, I’m going off very minimal information from these seasons. The mentor dying could be Deucalion (though... again, I can’t really deal with the fact that everyone’s so cool with him now after what he did in 3A. At least Derek wasn’t around and didn’t have to deal with everyone being buddy-buddy with Erica and Boyd’s murderer. *sigh* Pushing aside my issues, I am...)

The weird fear creature could be Dementors, though they didn’t really play a role in book six (here, again, we have the issue of trying to parallel specific books to seasons instead of tying in general themes). For book six.. maybe the liquid Dumbledore drinks that’s protecting Gaunt’s ring? It makes him fearful, pulls up some bad memories from his past, and more or less paralyzes him, weakening him while he drinks it.

Since Peter’s not actually a villain at this point in the season, it’s hard to pull up a parallel to the Horcruxes for him.

Which leaves book 7: the hero (& friends) find & destroy plot armour, get some info about the mentors life & all ends in a big battle not everyone survives. This would be TW fictional 9/9 season 7 (or TV movie?): Scott finally defeats Peter (& Stiles& Derek finally kiss, ofc). There you have it, well partly. I hope this was a fun read for you. Sorry, if I bothered you with it.

Overall I found this analysis really interesting, but I do think we were battling through the problem of balance between making our own story using TW elements and HP themes, or just pulling in parallels from the existing content, which makes it hard to build a coherent story.

The day would always live in infamy. It marked the turning point and end of Marlene McKinnon's life. Sure she survived a couple of months after the murder of her closest friends, but at what cost to her? Everything she loved was stripped away, Marlene McKinnon might have survived, but she might as well of died that very night right alongside her Lily, and James. 

He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Name saw the magical talent that James Potter and Lily Potter held... Knew they would make a wonderful addition to his darkened circle however when both refused The Dark Lord's ways the Potter family had no choice but to go into hiding with their young son Harry. The only three people who knew of where the Potter family was hidden was Sirius Black, Marlene McKinnon, and Peter Pettigrew. Unbeknownst to the rest of the group however in a cowardly attempt to save his own life Peter sold out where the Potter family was hidden. Feeling some remorse to his actions Peter alerted Marlene, and Sirius of what he had done, but by the time word got to Marlene and Sirius it was too late. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, had ramshacked the Potter's home in Godrics hollow leaving the remains of her Lily flower, and James like they were nothing more than garbage. Expecting much of the same from the baby Marlene ran up the stairs to where her /Godson/; -since she and Sirius, were engaged to be married, Lily had named Marley, the official /Godmother/ so if anything happened Harry would have two loving parents to take care of him-; nursery was to find the baby sitting in his crib crying. Running over she scooped baby Harry into her arms and bounced him murmuring sweet nothings into his ear, tears streaming down her own cheeks. Sirius grabbed a hold of Marlene's petit frame holding onto her and both Harry trying to comfort both having to be the strong one now because Marley, and Harry needed him, when Peter emerged from the shadows babbling about how he was too late with his warnings.

'HOW DARE YOU PETTIGREW! THEY TRUSTED YOU! WE TRUSTED YOU! I'LL KILL YOU MYSELF IF ITS THE LAST THING I EVER DO.'

With a Yelp and a Squeek from Peter as he morphed into his true being a (rat) Sirius lunged at him tearing through the house every intent to strangle the life out of Pettigrew with his bare hands, Marley sat in the corner rocking the baby comforting him trying to comfort herself. She was breaking more so then the baby was now that she had managed to calm him down.

Time seemed to be frozen in place it seemed like an eternity from one scene to the next but it was just a matter of moments when /Auror's/ busted in on the scene of the crime. There were two dead bodies one man standing in the kitchen holding a knife in his grief and a finger. It all seemed to add up that Sirius was the murder the one who betrayed his friends. Case closed in the eyes of the Auror's.

One moment she was holding the baby in her hands the next she watched as the baby was snatched away from her, and her lover was drug out the door to face a life time sentence for a murder he did not commit. And Marley, well they wrote her off as nothing more than a traumatize babbling fool not knowing what it was that she had witnessed. The Ministry just wasn't listening to the witness. They refused to hear her out. They wouldn't hear her please of Voldemort was still out there. They assumed he had been vanquished by a baby. Harry was written off as a hero, but sent to live with his only remaining family the Dursley's because Marlene was written off as unstable and unfit to raise a child and sent to the psych ward at ST. Mungo's.

It was months later into Marlene's treatment's when Albus Dumbledore came to visit her at the Psych Ward, and by this point she felt half crazy because she knew in her heart that Voldemort, and Peter were still out there, but her medications to calm her trauma were doing nothing more than make her babble like a lune. Even though no one listened to a word she said anymore... No matter how many warnings she gave. That was until he showed up. 

'Marlene? Do you remember me?' Professor Dumbledore, hadn't changed since she had graduated from Hogwarts, he still had that same kind smile that always seemed to Cascade light in class, and those same mischievous eyes.

"Professor!" She couldn't help but to throw her arms excitedly around the man. Which caused him to chuckle as he patted her back.

'I see you do remember me then Miss McKinnon. However that's not why I'm here. I want to know everything that happened that night. I believe you when you say Voldemort, is still at large. Whatever happened that day was only a temporary road block, and he'll be back.'

Marlene, couldn't help but to blink in awe struck wonder at the man because for weeks maybe even months her claims had been pushed aside, and now someone believed her. She almost couldn't believe it. Tears pooled her eyes as she relayed the whole story of that fateful night. "I know he's still at large Professor, and I want him to pay I want him to meet the same fate as Lily and James, and everyone else he's murdered. I want to see Tom Marvolo Riddle, rot in a grave of his own making. And I want Peter Pettigrew to burn for eternity with him." The light in Albus, eyes seemed to dim. He could see the darkness swirling in Marley's heart consuming her. Making her no better then the men and women she would grow to hunt down. Albus took her hand.... 'Marlene, we need you in The Order.'

For days on end Marley, had made herself crazy bounty hunting as many Death Eaters as she could sending their asses to Azkaban to rot where they belonged. But more so she made herself crazy following a lead she had on Peter Pettigrew, and yet he still managed to evade her grasp. She would kill the rat herself finish off what Sirius, hadn't been able to do if it was the last thing she ever did. Looking down at her muggle time keeper (watch) Marley realized she had about twenty minutes to get to The Order meeting tonight before she was late. They were following a new lead of activities on Amycus Carrow, and his activities, but the thing about Amycus Carrow, was he didn't like to be the hunted he liked to be the hunter... So when he got wind about The Order following his ware abouts he turned the tides, and popped in to give his hunters more of a challenging duel.
