Wrapping War
Pairing: Jason Todd x gn!reader
Warnings; pure, tooth-rotting fluff
Summary: Person A and Person B decide to have a gift wrapping battle to settle once and for all who’s better at wrapping presents. They get their friend(s) to judge.
Tumblr media
“This looks ugly.” You looked up and saw Jason standing before you still clad in his Red Hood suit. You huffed at him before returning to your project before you. “You know if you fold the corners the other way-“ You held up your hand to stop him from finishing his sentence. “If you can do it better than me do it! No one is holding you back.”
You pointed at the pile of presents. His were already wrapped. It would have been a little funny if you had him wrap his own presents. Jason sighted. He pointed at himself; “I go clean up and then I’m gonna destroy you.” You chuckled lowly, “You can tray.” Jason shook his head, “Do or do not. There is no try.”
After he showered and dressed himself in a pair of sweats and a simple black T-shirt he let himself fall next to you on the sofa. “Okay, we wrap them and tomorrow the fam has to decide which one were better wrapped.” You nodded and held your hand out to him. He turned to you and took it. “May the best win.” Eagerly you began to wrap your presents.
Next Day
Your leg pounced up and down as Jason was driving to the mansion. “You good, babe?” You could only nod. Too nervous about the presents and your bet with Jason. Jason pulled into the driveway where Alfred was already waiting for you.
He helped you unload the car and bring all the bags with presents inside before getting your over night bags. “Thank you so much for the help Alfred.” The butler bowed slightly before excusing himself back to the kitchen. “You could never know witch of the family members tries to sneak in there to have a taste test.” You giggled at his allusions.
You unpacked your thinks before resting for a short time. Bruce called everyone down to the living room where a big, well-lit tree proudly stood in the room. Various ornaments dangled from its branches. Some where bought but some seemed self-made. A wobbly star with the name Jason written in a chicken scratches handwriting hung high up on the tree.
Everyone gathered around to give and receive their presents. Before you gave everyone your gifts you asked them how the packets wrapping was. You got a lot of weird looks and shrugs of their shoulders but you weren’t the only one. Jason had nearly the same reactions.
Barb caught on to why you and Jason asked around this question. She chuckled before revealing her findings to the rest of the family. Everyone had a moment of clearance before looking the presents again.
You both stood before the clan and waited for their answer in anticipation. Everyone nodded before turning to both of you. “Well?” You asked. Bruce fished out a paper and a pen from somewhere. One after the other said their thoughts with you. After Duke finished his review Bruce held up the tally sheet. “Y/N won!” He declared. You looked at Jason with a shit eating grin. “I told you so. Wooh, bragging rights till next Christmas.” Jason rolled his eyes at you and the small victory dance you made. He still couldn’t believe his luck finding you in a sea full of strangers who would have rejected him.

"It's simple: I'll stuff you full with two fingers, but they only do what simon says. Understand?"
Tumblr media
“[Y/N?]”
“Uh, hey Izuku!” You smile, grip tightening around the strap to your bag. Izuku fills the doorway, broad shoulders kissing both sides of the frame, and you can’t help but feel minuscule in comparison. “Kota around?”
Izuku shakes his head, peering over his shoulder for a second before returning his attention to you with a click of his tongue. "Uh, no I think he's out with Eri. They should be back soon though...it's been a few hours."
"Shit," you curse under your breath. Your friend's older brother smiles in apology, biceps straining under his white tee.
"You need something?"
"Yeah," you nod, forcing your eyes back onto his, instead of the broad chest presented at eye-level. "Just my precalc book."
Izuku waits a second, thinking, before his palm claps against the doorframe and he's walking deeper into the house. "Come on in, then! I'm sure he won't mind."
You step into the house after him, and it's...weird. Weird being with your Kota's older brother without Kota there, because despite the thousands of times you've been in your best friend's house and as well as you know the greenette, you and Izuku have never been alone.
Tumblr media
"Find it?"
You've been rummaging through Kota's room for a solid ten minutes and somehow still empty-handed, moving slowly in fear you'll see something you can't unsee. And hey, with Kota and Eri dating, anything's possible.
"No," you sigh, ready to give up rather than find a strap-on. "It's fine. I can just come to get it tomorrow or something."
"How soon do you need it?" The greenette asks, his forearms leaning against his younger brother's dresser. You take a seat on Kota's comforter instead, silently hoping you'll find your book by accidentally breaking your tailbone against the damn thing; you're a little disappointed when all your ass comes in contact with is a plush mattress.
"Like, tonight," you grieve, knowing that tomorrow morning, your math grade will suffer severely. "'S fine though. There's always another test."
Izuku snorts at that, crossing the room to take a seat next to you. The bed whines under his weight but doesn't collapse, and you feel a little bad to say you're surprised. Voice full of reminiscence, he sighs, "Ah, the college days."
You giggle, "You act like they're lightyears behind you."
"They might as well be," the greenette shrugs, before reaching behind your waist to steal a pillow. "Couldn't tell you a thing I learned."
You shrug trying to remember the last time you’ve felt prepared for a test, “Neither can I.”
Izuku chuckles and nods, though you’re convinced it’s because he has nothing to say. An awkward silence takes possession of the room by the neck, and you shift awkwardly, unsure of what to say that could give you an excuse to leave, or at least redirect his strange yet heavy gaze. As Izuku licks his lips, you notice how close you two actually are, as he's big to the point where your shoulders almost brush, but not quite.
"How um, hows your boyfriend?"
You scoff at that, but you suppose it's been a while since you and the greenette have talked one on one—and the last time you had, you weren't single.
"Oh uh, he's fine, I guess," you brush it off with a shrug and a wave, cringing at the thought of how that ended. "I don't know. We broke up a while ago, so."
"Oh sorry!" Izuku flushes and throws a hand over his mouth, and you giggle.
"You're fine. He was an asshole anyway," you chuck a laugh, but it's not really that funny. Frankly, he's left too many emotional scars to count, along with the ones healing from past exes. "I...don't have a good reputation when it comes to picking boyfriends."
“So, I’ve heard—no offense,” he says sheepishly, though you don't blame him. You've definitely had a few surprise visits caused by a nasty break-up or two, knowing this is the place you'll probably find both of your best friends hiding out. When Izuku speaks again, it’s borderline awkward as his eyes dart around the room, cheeks puffed and lips pursed in apprehension. “Found...anyone new?”
You frown, “Anyone new.”
“Yeah!” Izuku exclaims, and it’s almost encouraging. “Like a new boyfriend.”
“Oh,” you laugh, shaking your head. “Um, no. Like I said, I don’t have much luck with that type of stuff.”
Izuku snorts, rolling his eyes before he’s adjusting himself to lay on the pillow, half of his body upright. “I bet you do. You might not realize it, but you do.”
Now it’s your turn to snort and roll your eyes, leaning back on your hands with a huff. "You're just being nice, Izuku."
"No, seriously!" He props himself higher so you can see he really is serious, evergreen eyes locked and deadset, "Like—okay, and this might be a TMI or something, but how do they, y'know, and then be dicks, y'know?"
"They don't."
"They don't...what?"
"They don't...make me cum," you heave with great depression, despite the seemingly surface-level complaint. With wrists tightening around your ankles, you hate uncomfortably in the silence, and watch Izuku's mouth open and close, before it opens and closes again.
"Like...never?"
"No." You give him a weird look.
"But what about your last boyfriend? I thought he—"
"I don't know what you're looking for, Izuku," you chuckle, shaking your head. The greenette seems more pained than he is shocked, eyes wide with a big fat pout in place of a neutral face. "It's not like I haven't had an orgasm before. Just...not with someone else."
"That's not the same!" Izuku defends, slowly becoming more animated than you've ever seen him. "It's like...more passionate with another person, you know? And that makes everything a whole lot hotter."
"Thanks," you huff, mood souring more than it already has. Izuku's mouth stills once he realizes what he's essentially bragging, guilt clouding his face. As you exhale out of your nose, you can't escape feeling bad for snapping. "Look. I'm perfectly fine with being the only person to be able to make myself cum. It's not that deep."
"You sound like you expect no one to be able to," Izuku snorts with a raised eyebrow, shoulders bumping against yours. "You've just...had bad boyfriend luck. That doesn't mean no one's capable of doing it."
"Well," you click your tongue bitterly, because you've heard all of this before, and you're utterly tired of hearing it. "They've been able to make all their exes orgasm. And it's not like it even matters, relationships aren't abou—"
"I could do it."
"I—" you blink, shaking your head at the pure audacity of his request? Suggestion? Comment? Whatever the fuck. "Excuse me?"
"I—wait, listen," Izuku rushes like you're getting ready to book it the fuck out of there, sitting upright so his body is turned to yours. "You're...it's...I've been told I'm good with my fingers, right?"
And what a way to start a story.
"Izuku, in the nicest way, every guy is like this," you scoff, "He thinks he's all that just because a chick or two said you made her feel really good. I don't need to fake another orgasm."
"You won't have to," Izuku purrs cockily, leaning forwards on his hands and making you wonder where all of this is coming from. "Let's play a game of simon says, yeah?"
"Simon—" your chest collapses with a giggle of pure disbelief, "I'm not that much younger than you, you know."
"I wouldn't be offering if you were," the greenette reasons, eyes growing dark slowly, if any. "Yes or no?"
"What's the catch?" You bargain and Izuku huffs a laugh. You can feel it on your face.
"No catch, Pretty," he hums, and you can feel the vibrations in your fingers. "It's simple: I'll stuff you full with two fingers, but they only do what simon says. Understand?"
You gulp as Izuku lifts a hand—and a very large one, at that—and it's jagged and rough with scars and bulky knuckles. His free hand makes you grab his wrist and you're fingertips barely touch, but you’re pulling his hand south by your own volition.
“Gotta take your pants off first,” he chuckles, and you flush red. That would be helpful, yes.
It doesn't take long before they're off though, flung towards a corner somewhere—and this is when you realize that maybe, you shouldn't do this on Kota's bed.
"Izuku maybe we shoul—"
But before you can say anything else, he's pushing your panties to the side and shoving both fingers into you at once, eyebrows folding as he groans under his breath from the sensation.
"So wet already? Clearly, someone likes this more than they let on."
"I—what the fuck happened to simon says!" You yelp, but his fingers don't move. Izuku just beams like the deceptive asshole he is.
"Game starts now," is all he says, and you're huffing, propping yourself up on your elbows. Izuku's fingers might as well have knocked the wind out of you, lungs struggling to find room to breathe as he curls his fingers to tap directly onto your g-spot with worrying precision.
"Simon says um, move please," you grunt out. Izuku's fingers stay still, and you frown, kicking him in the thigh. "Hey, I sai—"
"You gotta be more specific than that, Pretty,” he says with a grin. You snarl. "Tell me what you want me to do to you."
"I..." you start, but it's fucking embarrassing, and you know Izuku feels you twitch around him when you say: "Can you um, fuck me with your fingers."
He doesn't move.
"Simon says fuck me with your fingers, asshole," you grunt with narrowed eyes, though they widen when he starts to pump his fingers in and out, chuckling when you shiver from the dexterity.
Except, his fingers move painfully slow, and you find yourself gritting your teeth at the speed when he doesn't make an effort to go any faster. You click your tongue—he's really going to make you request everything, isn't he?
"Simon says faster," you growl with a challenge burning in your eyes, and Izuku meets them with equal fire, fingers finally forgetting their torturous pace for a much quicker one. Finally.
"Fuck! Simo—simon says right t-there," your legs spread wider and Izuku makes more room for himself in between. He hums with dark eyes as you whimper and whine his name, writhing in his younger brother's sheets like they belong to him—like you belong to him.
"I wanna touch you all the time, you know," Izuku grunts before cursing at the sight of your wetness around his fingers. "Make you feel good, make you mine. I don't think Kota would approve, though."
"We don—" you wheeze and he places a hand next to your head, towering over you. The angle only gets better, your hands digging into the sheets as Izuku's fingers curl just right. "We don't have to tell him."
Izuku chuckles at that, chest rumbling as he leans in closer to the point where your noses nearly touch. "You dirty fucking girl."
You moan at that, hips bucking into his hand. You're so close and yet you need more, something else to push you over the edge for good. With a whimper behind a bitten lip, you say, "S-Simon says rub my clit."
Izuku's thumb falls upon your clit and you squeal from the amount of initial pressure, thighs jolting from the white-hot waves that pump through your bloodstream as his thumb moves in small, ever-quickening circles that have you gripping for Kota's comforter for dear life.
"Iz—Izuku I'm gonna—g-gonna cum," you pant, and he's ripping his hands away before you can even reach a hint of the edge. You glare at him out of pure and utter betrayal, and he beams.
"Simon didn't say, did he?"
Your mouth flies open before your brain has time to process it all, "Simon says make me cum, p-please, I need to—fuck!"
Izuku's stuffing you full with his fingers in an instant and his thumb returns to its rightful place.
"Yeah? You gonna cum for me, Pretty?" His hands somehow find the energy to speed up to the point where the clap of his palm against your pussy fills the room, slowly being replaced by a lewd squelch as you tighten around him. He chuckles when all you can do is whimper, grappling for his big shoulders as he says, "Oh, yes she is. So fucking close I can feel it."
You let out a broken moan and in a blink you're squirting, body buzzing as you make a big wet mess of Kota's sheets. It doesn't even register how screwed you two are because you're too busy wading waist-deep in the sea of Izuku's eyes, chest heaving in time with his as he gives you a look of pure awe. Not at what you've done, per se, but at you, and that's when you understand it—the passion.
"We should uh, probably clean up," Izuku flushes as he chuckles, cheeks pressing into the crescents of his face, and you find yourself smiling along with him. With a final click, he pulls his fingers out, gesturing to a circular wet spot on his now see-through shirt. "You made quite a mess."
Fuck the passion.
You shove your fists into his chest and Izuku laughs, pushing your hands away with his one dry free hand, wiping the wet one on Kota's sheets.
"Izuku!" You gasp, looking at the new and improved addition to your mess. The greenette shrugs.
"What? We're going to have to clean it anyway," he shrugs before assuming the dry spot to your right and nestling his forearms in the pillow to peck you on the forehead. Then he freezes.
"I uh...am I allowed to do that?"
You roll your eyes, grabbing him by his squirt-soaked shirt to pull him into a kiss. Izuku hums at that, suppressing the urge to smile as his big hands find their way to your waist. He's an annoyingly good kisser
"No, you're not," you say with swollen lips once you pull away. Izuku grins, teeth digging into his bottom lip as his eyes flutter to yours for a moment, before they're staring into your soul again.
"I like you," he boldly states, albeit quietly, like he's talking to your eyes and nothing else. "Like, a lot."
"I—" You start, but you're interrupted by a click of a lock and the sound of the front door opening. Shit.
"Oi! We're home, Izuku!"

“Top, it’s not fucking funny.”
“It’s kinda fucking funny, Y/n/n. Like, way more than a little.”
Rafe had ditched the last fifteen minutes of statistics when he finished his test early today, and he’d been messing around on his phone for ten minutes waiting for the rest of you to come and get in Topper’s Jeep so you could all go to lunch off-campus today.
Rafe stands up straight from where he’d been leaning against the hood when he hears your voice approaching, his smile matching yours once you see him. “Hey, Rafe. How did your stats test go?”
“Good, hey, Y/n. What’s not funny?” he asks, opening the passenger side door for you before sliding into the backseat behind you.
“Oh, get this, Rafe,” Topper says, laughing. You just groan again, clicking your seatbelt on. “Griffin is gonna ask Y/n to prom. Tomorrow.”
Rafe blanches. “Griffin?”
He knew Griffin thought you were hot. Certainly had to hear it enough times in the pool at practice every day. Rafe always found himself biting back a remark—well, almost always. As captain, Rafe was able to tell everyone to run another play whenever he felt like it. The extra exertion in the pool was nothing compared to having to tread water and hear his teammate talk about you like that.
But even after all of that, he still had no idea Griffin had the balls to actually make a move on you. Because Rafe could tell you’d seriously rather die than ever give Griffin the time of day. And Griffin had been pursuing you without luck for months, even though you’d been trying to gently show you weren’t interested. Half of the time, Rafe wished you'd just tell him to fuck off.
The other half of the time, Rafe was considering just doing it for you.
Rafe clears his throat after his outburst, a finger digging into a hole in his jeans. “How do you know?”
“He just told me in PE,” Topper says. “He said he has this huge banner, and speakers, and he’s gonna do it at lunch right in the middle of the quad—”
“Topper.” You cut him off a bit more seriously this time; Rafe can hear the shift in your tone. You've always hated being anywhere close to the center of attention, getting embarrassed by the smallest things others wouldn’t even think about. If Griffin actually knew anything about you the way Rafe does, he’d know you wouldn’t like something big and flashy. “Can you stop?”
“Hey, cut it out, Top,” Rafe is saying immediately. Topper just rolls his eyes, but Rafe doesn’t care. “You okay?”
“Yeah, Rafe,” you say, smiling over your shoulder at him. “M’fine.”
“Do you want me to tell Griffin to—”
Topper laughs from the driver’s seat, clearing his throat to cover it up when you look over at him. You look back at Rafe, and his heart breaks at the worry in your face. “Don’t, Rafe.”
“Are you gonna say yes?”
“No,” you immediately laugh, looking at him like the idea is preposterous.
“Oh c’mon, Y/n/n. Can’t say no to him in front of all those people,” Topper teases. “And where the fuck is Kelce? I’m starving.”
“You’re right,” you sigh. “I don’t wanna embarrass him. I’ll just find him after school today and tell him I’m going with Kelce.”
Topper’s eyes widen, Rafe catches it in the rearview mirror before he hurriedly looks away. Rafe clears his throat, settling back into his seat from where he’d been leaning into the front space to talk with you. “You—uh, are you actually going with Kelce?”
“Yeah,” you nod, distracted by your phone. “We said we’d go together if we didn’t find dates. Kelce didn’t really wanna ask anyone after what happened last summer. And after nearly being set up with Top last night, I’m about ready to throw in the towel.“
Rafe looks to his friend that sits in the driver’s seat, who's looking straight at his lap, the back of his neck bright red. “Wait, you two?”
“It was just our parents, dude. Went to dinner at the club last night and our moms brought it up,” Topper mumbles. You giggle at the idea, completely unaware of the energy in the car right now.
“Yeah, sorry, Thornton. But no thanks. You and Emily should be really cute, though,” you say earnestly, patting his shoulder.
Topper just stares straight ahead. “Thanks, Y/n/n.”
“And then this thing with Griffin—I’m just so over the idea of finding an actual date at this point,” you sigh. “Plus, I know Kelce won’t put up a fight about the color scheme. I’m thinking like, aqua. Or maybe pink? I don't think I'd look good in gold.”
You'll look good in absolutely anything, and Rafe will just have to watch you from across the floor of the Island Club, while Kelce twirls you around the dance floor or holds you close during a slow dance.
The guy in question opens the car door and slides into the backseat next to Rafe right then, sighing as he slides his backpack off. “Sorry guys, coach stopped me in the hall. Where are we eating?”
Rafe glares at him.
“I want a smoothie,” you declare from the front seat.
“Fine with me,” Topper nods, pulling out of his parking spot. “Guys?”
“Can we go to that place with the deli next door? I’m so hungry,” Kelce says.
“Yeah, I like their açaí bowls,” you say, twisting around to look at Rafe one more time. He must not be able to hide his emotions as much as he thought, because your smile drops when you see him. “Rafe? Does that sound good?”
He turns his body to look out the window, eyes flicking back to yours one last time. “Not hungry.”
—
Rafe meets Topper and Kelce at the dock later that night, the three of them intending to get drunk and maybe take Topper’s boat out if they felt like it.
Kelce is already there by the time Rafe pulls up, drinking a beer with Topper while they laugh at something on his phone.
And Rafe paces right down the dock, snatches Kelce’s phone out of his hand, and pushes him off the platform and into the water.
“Rafe, dude,” Topper says, immediately pushing him back by his chest.
“What the fuck?” Kelce sputters, spitting out water as he surfaces and climbs the ladder back up. “What is your fucking problem?”
“You couldn’t ask literally fucking anyone else? It had to be Y/n?” Rafe says, laughing indignantly. He looks down at where Topper is still keeping them separated. “And you—what the fuck—”
“I told you, man. It was just our moms. We didn’t even consider it,” Topper says, rolling his eyes.
“You both lied to me,” Rafe accuses. “Because you knew I’d be mad.”
“And why’s that, Rafe?” Kelce spits, reaching around Topper to try and push at his chest. “Why are you mad? Not like you were gonna ask her.”
“No,” Rafe says immediately. And he isn’t even lying; it’d never crossed his mind as a possibility. Which is why he can’t even begin to try and work out why he’s this upset about it. He didn’t do anything to stop this, but it’s still happening, and it’s making him crazy. “You know my dad’s making me take Reagan since we’re both on prom court.”
“That’s what I thought,” Kelce grumbles. “I was gonna tell you.”
“When?”
“Soon, I just—we made the plan so long ago, bro. Neither of us wanted to worry about dates
 but I gave it time because I thought you might—I dunno,” Kelce trails off, shrugging. “I dunno.”
“Thought I might what?”
“Figure your shit out and ask her yourself,” Topper says, coming back from the boathouse with a towel that he passes to Kelce.
“Even if I could, Y/n/n would never say yes to me,” Rafe scoffs, shaking his head and reaching for the six-pack they were working through.
Topper scoffs back. “Oh, yeah ri—”
“Guess we’ll never know,” Kelce says, cutting him off while he dumps the water out of his shoes. He sighs at his soaked clothes before he looks back up at Rafe. “You know I’m not into her right? We’re just going as friends. It’s senior prom.”
“Why would I care what you’re going as?” Rafe says, shifting in discomfort, hand clutching his already-half-empty beer can a little tighter. “None of it even matters.”
“Whatever you wanna tell yourself, bro,” Kelce sighs, grabbing his phone out of Rafe’s hand and pushing past him to go change.
—
“Nice taste, Y/l/n.”
You whirl around from where you’d been adjusting Kelce’s boutonniùre (you’d only pricked him twice, which was a personal record for you) at the sound of Rafe’s voice, plastering on a smile before you face him. Your eyes drop to his attire immediately. “Oh shit, Rafe. We match.”
“I know,” he laughs. “My step-mom wants a picture.”
You furrow your eyebrows, shifting in your heels, the tule of your dress suddenly itchy against your legs. “Um. Shouldn’t you take one with Reagan?”
“We already took a million. From every angle. With every possible fucking pose,” Rafe sighs. “C’mon, please? Before the limo comes.”
Rafe grabs your hand and you look back at Kelce who just nods, downing some champagne. “Take care of my date, Cameron.”
You can see Rafe just shake his head where you trail behind him, leading you back to where Rose is talking to one of the other moms. “There you are. Your dress is beautiful! I wish we'd found one like that for Reagan. It looks great with Rafe's tuxedo.”
“Uh, yeah. It's nice to see you, Mrs. Cameron,” you say politely, ignoring the last half of what she said completely. She pulls up her phone and Rafe’s bringing you into his side, his hand resting in the middle of your back.
“This okay?” he murmurs, his breath fanning over your neck as he leans down.
“Yep,” you say quickly, but you can’t help but look around and catch multiple of your friends watching you, including Reagan, who promptly rolls her eyes once you make eye contact with her.
“Y/n, sweetie, just a few pictures for the newsletter,” Rose says, reminding you of your purpose right now.
“Right, sorry,” you say.
“Hey,” Rafe whispers. You look up at him, feeling his hand bring you closer to his body. “Take this a little more seriously, Y/l/n. Don’t you know that the next issue of the Island Club newsletter will be completely ruined without this one specific photo, that will probably be squished into the corner of a terribly- edited collage?”
You laugh in surprise, hitting him on his chest for joking about his step-mom right in front of her. “Rafe. Be nice.”
He just grins down at you, before straightening up and turning back to the camera. “If I’m nice, will you save a dance for me later tonight?”
You’re glad he’s not looking at you anymore, because then he’d see the way your smile faltered before you turn back to the camera as well. “Sure.”
—
“How is my flask empty?” Kelce groans, tipping it over and shaking it out for emphasis.
“That’s what happens when you drink it all, bud,” you laugh, patting his shoulder. He rolls his eyes at you, linking his arm in yours as you both pass through the crowd to find Topper and his date, Emily. You all watch Rafe up on stage, waiting to inevitably be crowned prom king.
He was a shoo-in anyway, but you’d definitely distracted your English teacher with a conversation about the 1984 essay you just turned in while Topper and Kelce stuffed the ballot box he was meant to be guarding.
Rafe seemed like he couldn’t care less about stuff like prom court, just shaking his head when his name was announced over the speaker as a nominee three weeks ago at lunch.
And he’d dragged his feet through finding a date, just shrugging whenever you brought it up to him, prying partially for your own sake.
You couldn’t figure out why he seemed so averse to the entire event, but you supposed that was better than having to hear him go on and on about Reagan and how he asked her and what corsage he bought for her and if he was bringing her to after-prom—or anything else that would’ve dragged up some feelings you thought you’d firmly buried at this point, telling yourself for years that you never stood a chance with Rafe.
But the closer graduation got, the more you’ve been realizing that things with your friends would never be the same. Things with Rafe would never be the same.
“Kildare Academy, your prom king is Rafe Cameron,” the DJ says, snapping you out of your thoughts. Kelce and Topper cheer obnoxiously while you laugh, a little grateful they’re both drunk and distracted—so happy their plan worked (Rafe subtly flips them off behind his back as he’s crowned) that they can’t notice the way your shoulders slump as Rafe leads Reagan, just crowned queen, out to the middle of the dance floor while some Ed Sheeran song starts playing through the speakers. You’d roll your eyes at the terrible music selection if that was what you could focus on.
All you could focus on was wondering if Rafe would even remember that you promised him a dance tonight.
Kelce is dramatically bringing you into his arms as the prom court dance takes place, subtly turning you around so your back faces the stage and the court, smiling as he holds your waist. “C’mon, dance with me.”

Rafe’s letting go of Reagan as soon as the song ends and everybody cheers, dashing off to the DJ booth after telling her he’d be back in a bit. She merely shrugged before adjusting her crown and going off to some friends.
“Hey man, can I pull some prom king privilege right now?” he says, leaning in to speak into the guys’ ear. “I have a song request.”
“Playlist is set, approved by the school,” he says dismissively.
“Thought you might say that,” Rafe grumbles, reaching into his breast pocket before he can take the time to wonder if he’s really going to do this—if he’s really going to bribe the DJ to play a song by your favorite band before he goes to cash in on that dance together that you’d promised.
He hands him a crisp hundred.
The DJ sighs, snatching it out of his hand and pocketing it while Rafe smirks in victory. “Alright, what song, country club?”
And then it's practically a race to find you before the Kid Cudi remix currently playing ends. Rafe heads off in the direction where Topper and Kelce had been yelling when he was on stage, evening his pace when he spots you jumping around with Kelce, your dress fanning around you while you laugh, the string lights illuminating your face.
You’re smiling so big that it stops Rafe in his tracks.
Guys had always shown interest in you, and you turned most of them down. Not all of them; Rafe still had to see you with guys who absolutely did not deserve you giving them the time of day, sometimes at parties or maybe at the Club. Rafe could usually lie to himself, write off these feelings as some protectiveness over you, a nice girl who’d been a good friend to him his entire life. Rafe was protective of all the people he held close in his life, why wouldn’t he look out for you, too?
But something must have changed, because now—now Rafe’s looking at you, and he knows time is running out before you both set off on your futures. He has three weeks of school left with you, then a summer of seeing you around. And then... that's it.
And now he’s looking at you, those feelings less and less ignorable with every single second closer Rafe gets to not having you around him every day anymore.
Those feelings are crowding every corner of his mind, finally coming to the surface after all of the drama with prom dates had forced Rafe to wonder why he couldn’t stand you going with Griffin or Topper or Kelce. Couldn’t stand thinking about you ever being with someone that wasn’t him—a reality he knows he’d have to get used to you a lot quicker than it took him to even realize he’d fallen for you.
Because the future’s coming, and maybe in the future you actually end up with someone like Griffin, or Mateo, or that guy from the party that one time, or that touron from New England that your parents tried to set you up with, some hotshot you brought home from California after a semester, or Kelce—even Topper. Your parents would love that one. And one day in this future, you’re running into Rafe on the soccer field; your kids play for the same team together. Rafe ended up settling for someone he could never like half as much as he loved you, and he sees you across the field with a sweater tied around your shoulders, chatting with all of the other moms. The lucky asshole you finally chose just watches you the way Rafe always had, the way he is now as you dance with his best friend, the way Rafe will probably never be able to stop himself from doing.
Or maybe there's another future without you, where you move away to somewhere that suits you; the Outer Banks had never good enough for you, in his mind. Maybe you stay in California after school. And you bring home that hotshot that’s perfectly matched for you, who gets to hold you and kiss you and have you. Rafe only gets to see you every once in a while, when you decide to grace the Outer Banks with your presence for the holidays or for Midsummers. Maybe in this scenario, Rafe was never able to find someone else, maybe he shows up solo while you flash your engagement ring when the old crew gets together for drinks—no, you wouldn’t do that. You’d be absolutely smitten with whoever won your heart, showing the ring he got you to your girl friends with an embarrassed little smile pulling at your lips while they all gush over it. And maybe one of your friends jokes about how Rafe used to have a crush on you. You'll just laugh and shrug it off, nodding—because you knew all along. Of course you knew, everyone had to know at this point. And Rafe can picture you merely laughing at his feelings for you as the other guy gets to pull you closer on his lap.
The opening chords of your song snap him out of his reverie. He can see the exact moment you realize what song it is.
Rafe beelines for you, holding his hand out as soon as he’s in your vicinity, fully pretending he hadn’t just realized he’s fallen for one of his closest friends in the middle of prom. Like he hadn't realized that he wasn't just into you, didn't just think you were cute or like the way you made him feel when you remembered his stats tests or wore his shirt to his water polo games. Like he hadn't just realized that no matter how many times he'd told himself it didn't bother him that much that you'd never come close to giving him the time of day, that he'd never forget what it felt like to not even be on your radar.
“You promised me a dance, Y/n.”
You look at him and his outstretched hand and smile, then look back to Kelce, who's quickly letting you out of his arms, casting an accusatory glance at Rafe. But then he smiles a little. “I'm gonna hit the restrooms.”
“Too bad our one dance is gonna be to a song by a band you hate,” you laugh, accepting Rafe's hand. Rafe’s on autopilot, his hands resting on your lower back while yours move to his chest, swaying the two of you in little circles. The song is already through with the first verse.
“I don’t hate this band,” he lies. But maybe it’s not a lie—how could he hate anything you loved?
“Okay, prom king,” you laugh, fiddling with his pocket square a little, the one that matches your dress. “Still can’t believe we ended up matching.”
“Great minds, Y/l/n,” he shrugs, eyes trained on your face. Your hands slip up around his shoulders, and you nudge the plastic crown on his head before leaving your arms to rest there, fingers locked behind his neck. Rafe pulls you closer. The second chorus was already starting up. Time was running out.
“I’m not sure what the optics are of our matching and you leaving the prom queen to come dance with your friend,” you say, your small smile turning into a frown. “Reagan already seemed pissed earlier.”
“Don’t worry about her,” Rafe says. “It’s just you and me right now.”
“When we go off to college, I think I might just miss you, Cameron,” you say, smiling.
And Rafe might not ever get to tell you how he feels, or ever be with you the way he wants to, but at least he got to dance with you at his senior prom.
“I know I'm gonna miss you.”

Prompt: what if jc was lxc's age (and jyl maybe 2 or 3 years older) and wwx was lwj's/nhs' age when he was brought to lotus pier? (Or anything that involves a much bigger age gap bw the jiang sibs and wwx - where wwx is babey)
Untamed
“You know what,” Jiang Cheng said to his sister, who looked at him. “I’ve changed my mind. I’m not marrying a woman.”
Jiang Yanli’s lips started twitching uncontrollably and she hid her smile behind her sleeve. “Oh?”
“Nope. I’m going to marry Chifeng-zun.”
“On the basis of
?”
“If you take two adult men in charge of two Great Sects,” Jiang Cheng said, doing his utmost best to keep a straight face, “with all the power we can generate between us, we might – maybe – have a chance at disciplining our baby brothers.”
Jiang Yanli burst out laughing.
“There, there. It’s all right,” he said, grinning, reaching out to pat her on the shoulder. “You can join us if you’d like. There’s enough room in Qinghe for two wives.”
“We are not both running away to Qinghe,” she said, giggling. “A-Cheng!”
“What? I think it’s a great idea. If our parents want us back, they can negotiate with Chifeng-zun for it – may they have more luck than they had with the whole medicinal herb debacle.”
“A-Cheng, I am officially tabling this idea,” Jiang Yanli said, still snorting. “Older sibling privilege.”
“I let you out of the womb first as a matter of courtesy,” Jiang Cheng sniffed. “And now you use it against me? A-Li, how could you?”
“Call me jiejie! It doesn’t matter how much older, a few shichen or a few years, older is still older.”
“You probably elbowed me with those sharp pointy things you have on your arms. Weapons of war.”
“Older is older!” she sang. “Now tell me, what did A-Xian do this time?”
“Would you like it in chronological order, or in order of severity? I can also group it by theme, if you prefer.”
“Oh no,” Jiang Yanli said, covering her eyes. “Oh no.”
“And the chief-most theme,” Jiang Cheng said, continuing anyway, “is still called Lan Wangji.”
“Oh no!”
“He has the worst crush,” Jiang Cheng said, shaking his head with endless amusement. “And he just – refuses to admit it. ‘Nooooo, shixiong, we’re just friends, he can’t even stand me most of the time, he’s always trying to get me in trouble, but sometimes he lets me sit next to him and spend time with him and he’s so handsome and I really just want to make him laugh –’”
“We have,” Jiang Yanli said thoughtfully, “raised an idiot.”
“He was fine when we got him,” Jiang Cheng disagreed. “We have spoiled an idiot.”
“This is true. Maybe we should go form a mutual complaining society with Chifeng-zun; isn’t his little brother also an idiot?”
“Oh, you have no idea,” Jiang Cheng said. “Worse: they’ve teamed up. Nie Huaisang buys Wei Wuxian porn now.”
“Oh no
”
“In return for help cheating on his tests!”
“Oh no!”
“So that’s why I’m going to marry Chifeng-zun,” Jiang Cheng concluded. “Our parents may be disappointed by my decision, but with our powers combined, we might be able to save the world from our respective younger idiots.”
“Maybe,” she said, and shook her head. “A-Cheng – about our parents
”
Jiang Cheng shook his head as well, echoing her action but more in denial. It wasn’t anyone’s fault that she took after their father and he took after their mother, that she was born a shichen prior to midnight and he a shichen after and their personalities completely different as a result; it was no one’s fault that their parents didn’t get along, with their mother disdaining what she perceived as Jiang Yanli’s passiveness and lack of passion and their father despising Jiang Cheng’ prickly temper and difficulty communicating his affection without scolding.
It certainly wasn’t Wei Wuxian’s fault for being younger and more brilliant, talented at everything he did and with just the sort of personality their father liked best – the combination of his former best friend and the girl he’d once thought of marrying – and that he’d always made that preference very clear to everyone, even to their mother who often worried that her husband would dispossess her children in favor of his foundling and who lashed out at everyone in response.
That had hurt – hurt a lot, even, and Jiang Cheng was soft and sensitive underneath all his defensive layers, but any time he got angry over it he would look at Wei Wuxian, their little A-Xian, baby Xianxian, who adored his older siblings more than anything and was adored in return, and he forced himself to get over it. He was old enough, by the time Wei Wuxian arrived, to know to whom the blame really belonged.
“I spoke with Nie Huaisang while I was at the Cloud Recesses,” Jiang Cheng said in an undertone, one reserved just for his sister. “He’s asked me to pass along a message to his brother, the next time I go night-hunting, about the whole debacle – he’s so terribly apologetic, you understand, he couldn’t wait for the post – if we get to Qinghe by tomorrow, Chifeng-zun will be able to get to Gusu in time to intervene before our father does something wretched like cancel your engagement and take A-Xian home early from his studies.”
“The engagement I wouldn’t mind,” she remarked. “If Jin Zixuan feels so strongly about it that he’d get into a fistfight with A-Xian, it’s better not to marry, no matter what our mother might think. But on no account is A-Xian to be sent home early! He needs his education!”
Unsaid was everything else he needed, things he could get better at the Cloud Recesses than anywhere else.
“Then we go?”
“We go,” she agreed. Between the two of them, Jiang Cheng had more talent at cultivation, but she was steadier, even in her overall mediocrity: when the two of them flew on a sword together, they could make it much further and faster than anyone expected.
Qinghe wasn’t really close enough for a quick jaunt – they flew all night without stopping – but Chifeng-zun was amendable to their scheme, jumping at once onto his saber and making his way straight to Gusu. A waste of spiritual energy all around, really, but far faster than their father would move, with his Sect Leader’s dignity and retinue, rushing to the Cloud Recesses to save his precious little Wei Wuxian from having any connections in life that weren’t to the Jiang sect, and the Jiang sect alone.
And never mind how much he needed those connections: needed to have friends his own age, needed to have more time with that crush of his, needed independence and freedom and everything the Jiang sect supposedly stood for - needed for them to support him and act as the foundation beneath his feet, rather than the chains tying him down to earth.
Chifeng-zun – who was only a few years older than they were – was really a very understanding person, getting the problem at once and immediately agreeing with their view on things. Perhaps there really was something to be said about the difference in generations

“Let me show you to rooms where you can rest,” Chifeng-zun’s aide said, a slender young man with a polite smile on his face as he saluted. “I’ll arrange for refreshments as well.”
“We hate to trouble you, but in all honesty you are a lifesaver,” Jiang Yanli said to him warmly, and he unexpectedly flushed red at the cheeks. “A-Cheng, let’s follow this handsome young man and rest a while before we return to the Lotus Pier.”
The young man was blushing.
“What’s your name?” Jiang Cheng asked, and the blush faded away at once as the man paled a little: it would be one he expected them to recognize, then, and not in a good way.
“This one is Meng Yao,” he said, and saluted again even though he’d already saluted once before, and Jiang Yanli’s eyes flickered to Jiang Cheng’s very briefly before she caught his arms and raised him up.
“I’ve heard of you. Smart and talented enough to get Chifeng-zun’s attention, even so far as becoming his personal deputy - you must be brilliant. Truly, you deserve a better father,” she told him, and he stared up at her, dumbstruck.
“Don’t mind her,” Jiang Cheng said. “She’s trying out this new thing in which she says everything she feels without thinking first.”
She elbowed him. “And isn’t it your fault?” she asked snappishly. “You’re the one who needs to speak your mind more; I’m just modeling good behavior!”
If she’d been older than him – really older, rather than just a few shichen – maybe she would have held her tongue more and played the role of the peacekeeper, trying to protect him from his father’s indifference the way she had tried to when they were both younger, just as he had tried to distract his mother from her with his hard-fought accomplishments. It wasn’t until they had little Wei Wuxian to spoil and care for, a joint task that required both of their attention, that they realized that splitting their forces like that was pointless and self-defeating: it wasn’t actually helping that Jiang Yanli suppressed so much of her spirit until she felt like little more than a reflective mirror with no content, nor that Jiang Cheng nearly worked himself to death trying to prove that he was worthy of his father’s love and respect that he would never receive, and it never would.
So they stopped.
They were trying very hard to stop, anyway.
“You’re very kind,” Meng Yao murmured, and led them to their rooms.
The moment he closed the door behind him, Jiang Yanli turned to Jiang Cheng and said, “I’ve changed my mind about your plan – we can run away to Qinghe. You marry Chifeng-zun, and I’ll marry that charming boy out there.”
There was an audible thudding sound from the corridor outside, as if someone had accidentally walked into a wall, and they both grinned at each other.
“Mother would kill you,” he warned her in an undertone.
“And being married to someone who disdains me enough to fight over my worthlessness in public wouldn’t?” she retorted, smiling even though her expression was tinged with pain: if she had one ambition in life, it was to never become their mother. “The marriage agreement might have been forged by our mothers, but the text of it says ‘the Jin sect leader’s son to the Jiang sect leader’s daughter’. Why can’t I marry him?”
“He hasn’t been acknowledged.”
“Only technically. Everyone knows he’s the real deal, or else his father wouldn’t have made such a fuss about it.”
“But –”
“Anyway, he must be a good man, or Chifeng-zun wouldn’t have promoted him.”
“I don’t know about that,” Jiang Cheng said. “Chifeng-zun doesn’t have the sense of self-preservation the heavens bestowed on a lemming.”
There was a vaguely audible snort from outside their door. It seemed Meng Yao, at least, had the good sense not to leave guests in his house unattended, and no discrimination against the very useful business of listening at doors.
He also had a sense of humor, which was good given Jiang Yanli’s newfound ambitions in his regard.
“Yes, well, I wasn’t saying I’d elope with him tomorrow or anything,” she sniffed, eyes dancing. “Give him some time to prove himself to me.”
Jiang Cheng couldn’t help but smile back. “That’s true,” he said, raising his voice a little. “At Chifeng-zun’s side, he’ll be able to make a name for himself until the whispers all say that his father was an idiot for keeping him away.”
“And if even that doesn’t work, I’ll marry him in and make him help me run the Jiang sect,” she said cheerfully. “Who needs Lanling Jin?”
“Wait, since when are you inheriting the Jiang sect?”
“I’m older! And anyway, aren’t you marrying Chifeng-zun? That means you’ll be away helping run his sect, and that leaves an opening at home for me.”
“
huh. Good point.”
“Maybe you can just swap places with Meng Yao,” she said, starting to giggle again. “And we can all see how long it takes anyone to notice
”
“Our parents might not,” Jiang Cheng said dryly. “But Chifeng-zun would. If only because I have my sights set on his bed, and I don’t think Meng Yao does.”
“You don’t know that; everyone wants Chifeng-zun. Maybe you have competition.”
“Better to have competition than be oblivious. Do you want to hear the whole story about A-Xian and Lan Wangji’s tragic mutual pining disaster? Xichen-xiong told me all the details he’s been leaving out of his letters.”
“Tell me everything!”

Kiwi- The Post Pandemic Rewrite
Master Post
Chapter 2 - I’m Having your Baby
December 21st 2019
Poppy was late again. 3 days late. Or maybe it was 4. She couldn’t quite remember, but she knew that she was late.
She also knew that she was stressed with Christmas coming up, and that when she got stressed, her periods tended to stay away for a while, plus her OB had told her that she probably wasn’t ovulating properly yet after stopping the contraceptive needle a few months ago.  So she wasn’t getting her hopes up. Nonetheless, when she was out getting herself and Harry a coffee, she ducked into the pharmacy nearby and bought a few home pregnancy tests, just to be sure. She was in no rush to take them though and if she was honest, she didn’t really have a spare second to think about it once she got home. Between making sure Oli got his lunch and preparing things for his 2nd birthday party which they were crazy enough to be having just three days before Christmas, there was just too much going on. Oh and did she mention that her and Harry were hosting christmas lunch this year for his family AND hers??? The pregnancy test didn’t cross  her mind again until she was giving Oli his bath that night,  and Oli picked up his doll that they kept as a bath toy. “Bubba,” he said, dunking its head in the water, “Wash hair, bubba” Poppy couldn’t help but giggle, “You’re gonna be a great big brother buddy.”
She was glad that he was too young to really understand what that meant.  If he was any older she’d be getting a thousand questions about a baby she doesn’t even know that she has yet. Just a few weeks ago when she was late, the test came back negative and she was almost positive that this one would too. “Pop, I’m going to pick up your family from the airport now,” Harry called from downstairs. “Need anything while I’m out?” “No, we’re all good H, good luck!” Poppy called back. “Love you!” “Love you too!” he said and she heard the door shut behind him. “Alright Ol, let’s hop out now, get you dressed, “Love you, Mum.” He smiled up at her as she helped him to stand up and wrapped his tiny toddler towel around him. Her heart melted and she placed a gentle kiss on his head. “I love you too Oli.” She helped him get dressed into his pyjamas, encouraged him to use the toilet (he wasn’t quite ready to be out of nappies yet, but he was getting close) and brushed his hair so that he was all ready for bed. They’d only returned from a quick stint in LA for Harry’s Forum Show yesterday and Oli was still jet-lagged, which made getting him to bed much easier than usual.
“Right...” Poppy said to Oli once he was all tucked up in bed “Have you got Itchy?”He nodded holding on tightly to his toy. “And Pippy?” she asked and he pulled his dummy out of his mouth, showed it to her and put it back. “And a big kiss from Mummy!” She kissed his forehead and pulled the side of the cot up so that he couldn’t perform some kind of gymnastics and escape from his bed in the middle of the night. “Sleep tight my big boy.” “Night, night, Mum” he said as Poppy closed the door to his bedroom.
  She went straight to the bathroom and pulled out the pregnancy test, feeling more broody than ever, knowing that her first baby turned two tomorrow. She remembered what it had been like taking the test when she thought she was having Oli. She was scared because she wasn’t sure that she was ready to be a mum and now she was scared because she wasn’t sure she could face not becoming a mum again. Her heart pounded as she waited for the results to show. Three minutes had never felt so long.
“Poppy, dear, we’re here!.” She heard the sound of her mother’s voice walking in the front door. “Shit!” she whispered to herself as she left the bathroom, making sure to close the door behind her. She made a mental note to come back to it as soon as she could but she couldn’t leave her family waiting, not after they’d been on a twenty four hour flight. “Hi Mum! Hi Dad!” she said, half running down the stairs to give them a hug. “Good flight?”
“Bloody awful”,  her dad, John shook his head with a wry smile.  “Can’t smoke on planes these days, did you know that?” He  began pulling a packet of cigarettes from his pocket. “Can’t smoke in my house either Dad,” Poppy said sternly. “Follow the stairs all the way up and you’ll find a garden but be quiet, Oli’s just gone to bed.” “It’s freezing out there Pop,” he huffed but started climbing the stairs anyway. Don’t I get a hello?” Her sister Addison said from next to Harry. “Of course you do,” Poppy side stepped her mum and wrapped her sister in the biggest hug of them all,  “God you’re getting so adult, can you stop please?” “I’m as old as you were when you moved here” Addie laughed “And I still live with Mum & Dad! “It’s much cheaper that way...” Poppy smiled “Yeah, because  you spent so much money in that first year didn’t you love?” Harry said sarcastically . “That’s enough outta you.” Poppy squeezed his cheek making him giggle. “Can I get anyone tea or coffee or anything?”  Harry asked suddenly,  trying to get them all out of the entryway. “I’d love to see my grandson,” Linda said, turning towards the stairs “I’ve just put him to bed Mum.  You’ll see him in the morning, he’ll be up bright and early!” “Right, well in that case, I’d love a glass of wine”, she smiled at Harry. “Of course,” Harry nodded tentatively, not entirely sure he had any wine to give her. “Addie, wine? Tea?” Addie shook her head “No thanks Harry.” “Vodka?” he asked, grinning at her knowingly.  Harry hadn’t spent a lot of time with Poppy’s family over the years, but he knew that her mother could either be the nicest person on the planet, or the snarkiest, all in 5 minutes. You could get whiplash just being in the room with her. That’s why poppy had moved to London when she was so young. “I’m fine,” she giggled, although a shot or two of vodka was temping after being on a plane with her parents for 24 hours. “I’ll show you both around then while Harry does that,” Poppy added and started going upstairs. Linda and Addie followed, with their bags still in their hands. “Leave those,” Poppy said “Your rooms are downstairs anyway, They dropped the bags and followed Poppy, a grimace already evident on Linda’s face. “So this is mine and Harry’s room” she said when they got upstairs pointing to their bedroom door “It’s a mess so we won’t go in there” “Never have been able to keep your room clean have you Poppy” Linda added, peering in anyway “It’s so nice to have you here Mum” Poppy said, unable to hold her tongue. “And that room there is Oli’s so let’s be a little quiet” “Is he a good sleeper” Addie asked. She knew a lot about babies, she worked in a nursery back home, very similar to the one Oli goes to. “He’s been much better since we stopped the day sleep” “His teachers must hate that” she laughed “They don’t seem to mind” Poppy shrugged and continued the tour down the hallway towards the next staircase “This is where Harry’s mum sleeps when she stays, so we’re keeping that for her and you guys will all be downstairs “How many bedrooms is this place?” Linda asked, looking up the staircase “6 or 7” Poppy said “That’s Harry’s office up there and there’s a studio downstairs, but he never uses it” “I accidentally told him I loved the album like 6 times on the way here” Addie giggled “he probably thinks I’m weirdly into him” “He wouldn’t think that much of it, Addie” Poppy smiled “Shall we go downstairs?” “Shouldn’t we go up?” Linda asked “We can” Poppy nodded ïżœïżœïżœThere’s not much to see up there though, it’s just a desk and the garden which I’ll show you in the morning” “Oh alright” Linda sighed and turned around on her heel with a huff in her breath. Poppy was starting to remember exactly why she’s decided to move to the other side of the world at just 18. It wasn’t that she didn’t love her mother, she just found her selfishness intolerable. “Not giving a tour without me are you Pop?” John bellowed as he walked down the stairs, lips blue from the cold. “There’s not much to see dear, just a few oversized bedrooms” Linda drew her lips into a sharp line “That haven’t been cleaned. You know with Harry’s salary you could afford a cleaner” Poppy and Addie shared a knowing look and Addie turned away from her parents and walked down the hallway towards the stairs. “I’m going to find that vodka Harry mentioned” she called, waving her hand for them to follow. And they did, without saying a word. Poppy had always admired how easily Addie could read people and turn a situation around in seconds without offending anyone and she smiled to herself because that hadn’t changed. In the Kitchen, Harry had two glasses of red wine sitting on the bench waiting for them and he had his head stuck in the fridge searching for something that seemed to be buried in the depths. “What are you looking for H?” Poppy said as she made herself comfortable on one of the bar stools. “All that cheese we bought the other day,” he said, head still in the fridge “and the dip” “That’s in the butler’s fridge” she said quietly, suddenly realising that somehow she was living a life very different from the she left behind. “You have a butler?” Addie said, shocked “and he has his own fridge?” “No” Poppy laughed “there’s a mini kitchen in that little room over there” she pointed to the door that harry was opening “they call it a butler’s pantry, so we call the fridge the butlers fridge” “Oh Harry you’ll have to get me something else, I don’t drink red wine” Linda said before Addie had the chance to respond to Poppy. Harry, who was safley hidden away in the butlers pantry rolled his eyes and took a deep breath. If this was how he felt after an hour with Poppy’s family, how was he going to spend a whole two weeks with them.  He did, however, take comfort in knowing that Poppy was feeling the same way. “I want to tip the wine over her head” Poppy whispered, walking into the pantry with the glass in her hand. Harry took the glass, put it on the bench next to him and wrapped his arms around Poppy. “We could probably survive off the food in here for the next two weeks if you want to lock the door?” he whispered back “Believe me, if I could I would” Poppy said with her head still pressed against his chest. He placed a kiss on the top of her head and pulled away from the hug. “Guess I’ll go pull some white wine out of my ass then” he said, only half joking. “There’s some in the bar fridge in your man cave, I think sarah left it here” she called after him as he walked out again. The rest of the evening passed by slowly, Addie, John and Linda filled Poppy and Harry in on what was going on back in Australia, it was nothing to really write home about, just the usual kinds of things that happen in a tiny coastal town, known for being home to quite a few Great White Sharks, that somehow never made an appearance on the beaches. Poppy was not at all surprised by her Mother’s lack of interest in anything about her life in London, if it wasn’t for Addie, all they would have talked about would be when Poppy was going to move back home again. She always thought that would happen when she had children, she wanted them to have the childhood that she did, but now that she’s here in London with Oli she couldn’t imagine anything else for him, because their life was here, with Harry and it was so much better than she’d ever imagined. Linda thought that was ludicrous though and with every opportunity, she found a reason to tell Poppy that a child shouldn’t grow up in a city, especially a city without a beach. But, just like she had upstairs, Addie managed to turn the conversation around every time without offending anyone, until she mentioned the possibility of moving to London too. “There’s plenty of spare rooms here Addie” Harry said to her before Linda could shut her down “We’d love to have you” “I might just not leave” she laughed and stood up from the table “I am going to go to bed though” “I’ll show you to your room” Poppy stood up too and chauffeured her out of the room towards the living room, which lead onto the bedrooms.   “You’re in this one Addie, and Mum and Dad are next door” “Thanks Pop” she smiled “I’m not joking about moving to London, I’ve been thinking about it for a while now” Poppy hugged her “Like Harry said, you’re always welcome here, this room can be all yours” “Was this your room when you first arrived?” Poppy shook her head “No I was always upstairs, in Oli’s room” “Right next door to Harry” Addie giggled “makes sense” “Good night Addie” Poppy said, putting an end to that conversation before it even started.
Poppy didn’t go back into the kitchen, she slipped straight into her bedroom and into bed. Who knew working full time and being a mother would be so exhausting. Her heavy eyes fell closed and she only stirred when Harry came into the room an hour later and wrapped his arms around her. December 22nd 2019 Poppy rolled over in her bed, exposing her upper arm to the cold morning air and saw that Harry was still fast asleep next to her. She reached for her phone to check the time, wondering why she’d not yet been woken by Oli’s cries to be taken out of the crib. 7:03. He was usually awake by now, but she shrugged it off, because he did go to sleep late last night and rolled back over to face Harry, placing a kiss on the tip of his nose to wake him. He blinked a few times and scrunched up his face as she giggled “Morning love” he smiled, finally opening his eyes and wrapping his arms around her “Oli not up yet?” “Nope” she emphasized the end of the word, burying her head in his chest “either that or my mother got up to him” Harry scoffed “Seems unlikely, your sister, maybe” “That sounds more possible” He let a content sigh “This time two years ago, we were sitting in that hospital room, waiting for him to arrive” Poppy sat up “Harry, today’s his second birthday” He furrowed his brow at her “Yeah” he said, sounding confused. “I was just sayin’ that” “And we haven’t heard a thing from Danny” The realisation dawned on him and a huge smile spread across his face, “We haven’t heard anything from Danny- shit Pop I can adopt him” “You can adopt him H” she smiled kissing his puffy morning lips “You’ll have to give the lawyers a call tomorrow, but it should be a pretty simple process, they should still have all the paperwork we filled out before the hearing, we’ll just have to sign it” “Easy” he kissed her again “He could be mine by Christmas” “I doubt it, red tape takes time and there’s only three days to go” she heard the faint sounds of Oli stirring next door “I’ll go” she smiled, throwing the blankets off and shivering at the cold December air. She wrapped her big fluffy dressing gown around her and walked out of the room to go and get Oli out of bed, leaving Harry there, smile spread across his face. “Happy Birthday big boy” she said walking into his room “Mumma” he smiled at her throwing his dummy out of the cot “Pippy” he tried to reach for the dummy that was now on the floor. “Pippy’s on the ground bub” she leaned down and picked it up “mummy get it for you” “Ta” he took it from her and stuck it back in his mouth. Poppy reached into the cot and unzipped his sleeping bag as she picked him up “Where’s itchy?” she said.  Oli had become quite attached to it when they took him on tour with Harry last year and after seeing Mitch playing the guitar at one of the shows he’d started calling it ‘itchy’ unable to say the ‘m’ sound in his name, and he couldn’t go anywhere without it. “Itchy’s gone mum” he frowned shrugging his shoulders and looked around the room. “He can’t be gone bub” Poppy giggled searching behind the cot and spotted him on the floor behind it “there he is! He’s hiding from you Oli” she put him down and moved the cot out from the wall, so she could lean down and pick the toy up. “Silly itchy” she said handing it to him. “itchy silly mummy” he giggled giving the toy a big cuddle “Shall we go see Daddy?” she ruffled his hair “Yeah” he said, nodding his head “Come on then” she walked out of the room and he followed her. “DADDY!” he burst into their bedroom and climbed into the bed next to harry. “There’s my big two-year-old!” Harry said, and Oli snuggled into his side “Happy birthday little man” he kissed the top of his head. Poppy stood in the doorway watching their interaction, heart filled with more love than she’d ever thought possible. Oli handed Harry itchy “Daddy, itchy hiding” Harry furrowed his brow “Was itchy hiding from you bub?” he chuckled, turning to look at Poppy “what’s mummy doing all the way over there?” he asked, “There’s room for one more in here” “Why don’t we all go downstairs for some breakfast, Mummy’s hungry” “Breakfast!” Oli nodded and jumped down from the bed, toddling out of the room and downstairs. She followed him closely behind, making sure he didn’t slip and helped him into his high chair. “What would you like today birthday boy?” “Toast” he said enthusiastically, which made Poppy and Harry both giggle “Daddy can make you pancakes if you want little man?” Harry offered, searching the pantry for all the ingredients “No, toast” he nodded “Fine” Harry huffed pulling the jar of strawberry jam from the shelf in front of him “Jam toast it is” “No Daddy, Mite toast” Poppy giggled to herself, handing Harry the Jar of vegemite “the kid knows what he wants” “You’re a bad influence on him,” he said, putting a piece of bread in the toaster, shaking his head at her “I’ll do this” Poppy said, taking the butter knife off him “you go get the presents” He placed a kiss on her cheek and walked off, upstairs to get Oli’s birthday presents. Once the toast was ready she spread the vegemite lightly across its surface and cut it into four triangles, placing it onto a Winnie the Pooh plate that Grimmers had given them when he first started eating solids. “Vegemite toast for the Birthday boy” Poppy smiled, pinching his cheeks as she laid the plate in front of him. “Thanks Mumma” he smiled. “Good Morning” Linda yawned, walking into the kitchen in a very light cotton dressing gown “It’s freezing here” “It’s London” Poppy admitted “I’ve turned the heating on” “Good” Linda smiled “Now where’s my grandson” “He’s eating his birthday breakfast” Poppy said excitedly while pointing to the high chair “Oli, say hi to nanna” She wasn’t quite sure how he would react to Linda, he’d really only met her through facetime and part of her was convinced that he thought she was just the lady that existed in the phone. He turned in his high chair and looked at Linda. He was puzzled at first but his expression soon changed and a big toothy smile grew on his face. “Nanna” he said, taking a bite of his toast. “Hi Big Boy” Linda smiled back, placing a big sloppy kiss on his cheek “Happy Birthday” “Do you want anything Mum? Tea, Coffee, Breakfast?” “I wouldn’t mind a tea and some eggs” she said and sat down next to Oli. “Is that vegemite you’ve got there?” she said to him “Mite” he smiled and held the toast up to her “You’re a real little Aussie then, just have to get your mum to bring you home” Poppy filled a pot with water and put it on the stove so that she could poach some eggs for everyone when they eventually woke up  and she heard her phone ringing on the bench behind her. Seeing Harry’s name on the screen, she answered it, confused. “Did you forget where we hid the presents?” she giggled into the phone as Oli sat in his high chair giggling away at Linda as she pulled faces at him. “No” he said flatly “Can you come here for a sec, need your help with the big one” “I think it’s time you started those personal training sessions again then Styles” Poppy said standing up from her chair “I’ll be right up” she hung up the phone and turned to Linda and Oli “Oli, Mummy’s just going to help Daddy for a few minutes, I’ll be right back” she kissed his head and walked upstairs into her bedroom where she found Harry standing in the bathroom doorway holding what looked like a pregnancy test. “What’s this love?” he asked, handing it to her “Shit” she said, not looking at it “I took this last night and left it to do it’s thing when you got home from the airport and I kinda forgot about it with all the chaos” “It’s positive love” Poppy turned it over in her hand and saw the same two blue lines that she’d seen almost three years ago when she found out she was having Oli, and a few tears formed in her eyes as she looked up at Harry “It’s positive H” He wrapped his arms around her, bringing her in close to his chest, “We’re having a baby Poppy.”

💛Sunshine💛 pt. 4 - The Fight
The next morning, Audrey woke up, wrapped in her husband's arms. They'd spent the night cuddled up with each other, talking about the baby's gender and what they were gonna name it. They both knew that they had about nine months to figure it out but, the couple just became so excited.
Neither of them wanted to get up. Audrey didn't feel the best and Spencer wanted to stay in bed all day with his newly pregnant wife. He didn't want to head into work to debrief the last case.
So, as the sun shined through the curtains, Spencer gently dragged his fingernails across the bare skin of Audrey's arm. His cheek was pressed up against her back. His free hand was placed gingerly on her stomach.
She groaned as the alarm on his phone went off. She turned slightly and looked up at him. "Morning." She whispered.
He smiled and brushed a piece of hair behind her ear. "Morning." He laughed quietly. "Hey, remember... You're uh... pregnant?" She smiled and remembered that they had a doctor's appointment when he got home from work.
Audrey giggled. "I may not have an eidetic memory, Spence but I'm pretty sure I'd remember something like that." She told him before patting his chest. "Don't you have to get up, doctor?" She asked playfully.
She knew what that did to him. "Audrey, you're already pregnant." He scoffed before rolling his eyes. "He or she is the size of a poppy seed." He beamed. "The embryo has three layers already - the inner layer or the endoderm will develop into their digestive system, liver, and lungs. The middle layer which is called the mesoderm will be our babies heart, sex organs, bones, kidneys, and muscles. And the ectoderm, the outer layer, will eventually form our baby's nervous system, hair, eyes, and outer layer of skin." His wife laughed quietly and stuffed her head into his chest. She squeezed her arms tightly around him.
"Honey, you've said that same thing to me three times. Is this like... your good luck ritual or something?" Audrey giggled as she squeezed him a little tighter.
The doctor smiled and discarded her previous words. "For someone who just reminded me that I have to get up, you sure are holding on pretty tight."
Audrey groaned before rolling away from him and planting her feet on the ground. Spencer watched as she raised her arms above her head and stretched out. He bit his lip. "I think the fact that you're pregnant turns me on even more."
The woman rolled her eyes and walked towards the closet. "Oh, hey! I forgot to tell you." She realized. Spencer sat up in the bed holding a pillow close to his chest. "My mom called yesterday before... Y'know I took the test and she said she and daddy are coming into town from LA."
Spencer widened his eyes. "Um... okay? Did she say when?" He asked running his hand through his messy hair.
"Tomorrow, actually." Audrey grimaced. She stepped pit of the closet in a large t-shirt and shorts.
"What? But we were supposed to take the kids to the zoo tomorrow. It's Sunday." He told her. "We usually go to the zoo on Sundays when I'm home."
His wife scoffed. "Well, honey I tried to tell her that but she just invited herself and daddy along." She shrugged. "But-but what if we tell them all together?"
"Tell them what?" Spencer asked obnoxiously with a mischievous smirk and a roll of his eyes.
Audrey chucked an empty clothes hanger at him. He ducked and laughed loudly. Once his laughter died down, he got up from the bed and strolled over to her. He dropped to his knees in front of her and pressed his lips against her stomach. "God, I can't believe that we're doing this all over again." Audrey breathed out. She closed her eyes and ran her hands through her hair.
The doctor stood up and kissed her. "And I'm so happy that we are."
"Me too," Audrey whispered.
Spencer leaned in and kissed her again and again... and again. She giggled and pulled back. "Get dressed and go to work, you horn dog."
He chuckled lowly and bit his lip. "I'm your horn dog."
Audrey scoffed with a smile and pushed him away, causing him to fall onto the bed. "Hey, like you said, I'm already pregnant." Spencer groaned and Audrey walked towards the door to their room and smiled back at him before exiting.
She walked down the hall and heard voices from Charlie's room.
"Yeah. Yeah definitely. I can hang out tomorrow." Charlie said quietly.
"Really!? Oh, I was so nervous." Audrey recognized the voice from a few days before. It was Emmy. She could tell that he was on the phone.
"Don't be. I uh... I kinda really like you so..." The mother smiled and leaned her head against the door. "Yeah... I guess I'll see you tomorrow, Em."
A giggle was heard. "Yeah. But hey Char?" The boy hummed in response. "I kinda really like you too." Audrey smiled brightly before opening the door quietly.
When Charlie noticed her, he raised his eyebrows. She winked at him and motioned to the phone. He rolled his eyes and then glared. "Go away!"
"What?"
Charlie's eyes widened and he looked down at his phone. "Oh! Oh no. Not you! My uh..." He looked up at his guilt-ridden mother. "My little brother was bugging me." He lied. Audrey didn't necessarily like that he was using his brother as a cover for her but she'd talk to him about that later.
"Oh, okay! I gotta go, Char."
"O-okay. I'llseeyoutomorrowbye." He rushed out awkwardly and hung up.
Audrey sighed and laughed. "You are just like your father." She shook her head. "When we first started dating, he would hang up on me just like that." She giggled.
"Well... Emmy and I aren't actually... dating yet." He stuttered. Audrey raised her eyebrows. "I was gonna ask her tomorrow when we go to the arcade... which leads me to my next question: Can I skip out on the zoo tomorrow and go to the arcade with Emmy?"
The woman crossed her arms and leaned against the door frame. She really wanted to tell everyone that they were having a new baby. But, Charlie seemed to really like Emmy. "Sure. Just make sure that you're back before dinner."
"Thank you, I love you!"
Audrey smiled and rolled her eyes. "Yeah yeah." She blew a kiss at him and left the room.
She went down to the kitchen, having a strange craving for a turkey sandwich at that moment. She hummed as she trotted down the stairs happily. "Turkey and pickles." She nodded her head with squinted eyes as she placed her hand on her stomach. She walked over to the refrigerator and opened it.
Audrey's eyes scanned for what she wanted and she heard footsteps from behind her. She stood up straight and turned around, seeing her husband tying his tie. His hair was still messy and wild. His white shirt wasn't buttoned all the way and she smiled at him.
She forgot about the turkey sandwich with pickles and leaned on her hands against the counter. "What are we gonna call this one?" She asked quietly.
Spencer smiled and walked around the counter. "Well, before we knew Charlie's gender, he was grape. Joey was pineapple, and Sadie was mango."
Audrey stifled a laugh. "Yeah, who's idea was it to call out unborn children fruits?"
The man clicked his tongue and chuckled a little before placing his hands on her hips. "I believe it was Penelope Garcia's."
"Makes sense." Audrey stated before standing on her tippy toes and pecking her husband's lips. "What a lovely lady."
Spencer raised his eyebrows a bit and leaned down to kiss Audrey passionately. "You're a pretty lovely lady yourself." He mumbled against her lips before enclosing them again.
Audrey could and would stay there all day but he had to go to work. She sighed into his mouth and pulled away slowly. "Honey, you've insatiable but you have to get going."
Spencer groaned like a child and stepped back an inch. "Is it so bad that I want to stay here with my pregnant wife?"
"If you wanna make some money then, yes." Audrey smiled, patting his chest. "Go say goodbye to your kids, Spence." She kissed him once more and he turned on his heel. Audrey smirked and smacked his butt swiftly.
God, she loved her husband's ass.
Spencer turned around for a second and playfully glared at her before going up the steps, calling his children's names. Audrey smiled happily and turned back to the refrigerator, taking out the turkey and pickles. She went towards the cabinet and opened it looking for the bread. She got tired and decided not to get the loaf. So, she opened the jar of pickles and the turkey container. She picked up a slice of meat and pulled a pickle out of the jar before putting them together and stuffing it in her mouth.
Audrey let out a satisfied moan and closed her eyes. "Really? Turkey at eight in the morning?"
The woman turned around mid-chew and saw her mother and father standing in the doorway with bags. "Mom? Dad?" She asked with her mouth full.
"Yes, honey, what in the world are you doing with... turkey and pickles?" Her mother, Lisa, asked. Her father, Cole, had furrowed eyebrows taking in the sight of his daughter stuffing her face with pickles wrapped in turkey.
Audrey cleared her throat awkwardly and set the jar of pickles down. "Um... I was hungry?" She stated more like a question.
"But darling it's... eight in the morning," Cole stated.
Audrey stuttered out and was interrupted by four pairs of footsteps coming down the stairs. "Grandma! Pappy!" Sadie yelled.
She jumped off of the third to last step, almost giving Audrey a heart attack. Sadie jumped into her grandfather's arms and he spun her around. Lisa smiled as she looked down at Joey and glanced up at Charlie. "My boys!"
Spencer looked at Audrey with a confused expression. She bit her lip and returned the expression before pressing her lips into a thin line.
Now, they both loved her parents, but they could be a little much.
"Mom? I love you but, how did you get in the house?" Audrey asked, placing her hands on the counter.
Lisa smiled. "Well," she held up a key. "Key under the mat. You'd think that the household of an FBI agent would hide the key somewhere else." She spoke, sounding unintentionally judgmental.
Audrey clicked her tongue and closed her eyes before taking a deep breath. "Well, mom, daddy uh... why don't you put your things in the guest bedroom." She said. "Charlie'll help." Audrey nodded at her son and he smiled thinly before taking his grandma's bag and heading to the guest room.
Joey and Sadie's followed after their grandparents asking about gifts. Audrey huffed and her smile dropped as she looked at her husband. "What the hell are they doing here? I thought they were coming tomorrow!" Spencer whisper shouted.
"Why are you yelling at me!? I thought so too!" Audrey exclaimed quietly, walking around the counter, licking the pickle juice off of her fingers.
Spencer sighed. "I'm... sorry, Aud. I just didn't expect them to be here today. That's all." Audrey sighed and looked at the ground.
"It's okay. I'll ask them about it later. You go to work and have an amazing day." She smiled up at him and stood on her tippy toes, kissing his cheek.
"Okay, love." He smiled. "You call me if you need anything, alright?"
"Okay. I love you."
"I love you more." He whispered.

"Mom, I'm telling you, Julie Anderson was not a lesbian!" Audrey exclaimed as she cut up sandwiches for the kids.
The kids were upstairs with Cole and Lisa was watching her daughter move around the kitchen. "Oh please. I saw the way she looked at you when she was invited over for sleepovers."
Audrey scoffed as she set down the knife. "Mom, Julie did not have a crush on me." She giggled.
"Honey, she was your best friend. She got away with a lot of stuff back then."
Lisa Gellar was always a judgmental woman. That's how her mother brought her up and that's why Audrey's life at home when she was younger and living with her parents was hard.
A fifteen-year-old Audrey walked into her motel room after just being out with a guy that she had just met. Her smile was bright and Lisa took notice of this. "You didn't go out there with that hat on did you?" The woman asked, referring to the bucket hat on her head.
"Yes, I did. I even got a compliment on it, mom." She beamed. "So, I met this boy while I was walking around and we went to get something to eat-"
"Audrey, you went out with a total stranger?" Lisa asked, getting up from the bed.
Audrey stopped and plucked the hat from her head and set it on the table. "Yeah mom but, I made sure he wasn't like a serial killer or a kidnapper."
"Well, of course, sweetheart. But even if he was he'd bring you right back." Audrey's smile completely dropped and she bit her lip. Lisa noticed the expression on her daughter's face and giggled, waving a dismissive hand at her. "I'm just kidding, Audrey. No one would even think about taking you with how you dress."
Audrey looked down at her denim bell-bottoms that she painted pink dots on and her white t-shirt. The young girl's eyes stung with tears. "Where are daddy and Marcus?"
"Your father's down at the casinos and Marcus is staying with a family friend" Lisa answered like nothing even happened.
Audrey sniffled and sat on her bed, taking her shoes off. "I'm gonna lie down for a little bit." She whispered.
Lisa sighed and grabbed her purse. "Alright, have a good rest dear. I'm going to meet your father down at the casino." Audrey nodded but didn't say anything. She waited until the door was closed to let out a whimper and start to fully cry.
Her figure curled up into a ball as she hugged one of the large motel bed pillows.
Audrey only stopped crying an hour later when she remembered that Spencer didn't just complement her hat but, he complimented her entire outfit. Her sad face welcomed a small smile as she thought about Spencer. He was such a kind, awkward, adorable, and genuine person. She'd never liked anyone as much as she liked the guy she had just met and barely knew anything about.
But the thing was that in that short amount of time, they spoke to each other like they had known one another for a lifetime. His smile was implanted in her mind as she went to sleep that night. Her parents didn't get back until after she was asleep. She woke up for a few minutes just to make sure that it was actually them and then she went back to bed, dreaming of meeting Spencer again. She hopes that he'd call her landline when she got back home.
"Charlie, Joey, Sadie! Come eat!" Audrey called as she slid three plates to the edge of the counter. She handed her mother a plate and the woman took it gracefully.
Lisa smiled. "Did you finally get better a cooking, dear?"
"Well, if sandwiches can help you determine that then, see for yourself," Audrey grumbled before replacing her frown with a smile as her kids came down the stairs.
Charlie was on his phone, texting someone. Probably Emmy. Joey was watching a YouTube video about some violent game and Sadie was just happily skipping which again gave Audrey a heart attack. "Sadie, sweetie could you not skip on the stairs?"
"Ok!" The girl said loudly.
Grandpa Cole walked down the stairs and pulled Sadie off of the ground and into one of the stools. Charlie sat down and Joey leaned against the counter.
Audrey sighed. "Hey mom, does Marcus know you're here?" She asked, handing a plate to her dad.
"Yes, sweetheart. He told me he might stop by for a little while." Lisa told her. "He has a little girlfriend, you know?"
Cole perked up as she mentioned the girl his son was dating. "Oh, that Chloe girl?" Lisa nodded. "Yeah, I've always liked her."
"Chloe? From back home?" Audrey asked, taking a sip of water. Her dad nodded. "Daddy, I loved her! Do you think she's coming?"
"I don't know." Cole chuckled. "He says he's in love with her though." He smiled.
"Hey, mom?" Joey called as he looked at his sandwich. Audrey hummed. "Can I have some mayo?"
Audrey smiled and turned around before opening the fridge and grabbing the container and opening it. She caught a whiff of it immediately gagged. She set the jar down on the counter and ran for the closest bathroom. "Mom!?" Charlie yelled as he followed her.
Tears stung in her eyes as she slid onto the floor and let out her stomach contents into the toilet. Charlie pulled her hair back for her while the rest of them stood in the doorway and watched her. "Mom, are you okay?" Charlie asked.
Audrey gagged a few more times and then wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. She looked at her mom who had a knowing expression on her face. "Yeah, honey. I'm okay. Why don't you take your brother and sister back in the kitchen?"
"But mom-"
"Char, please." Audrey sighed heavily. The boy let go of his mom's hair and took both of his siblings into the kitchen, leaving Cole and Lisa to stare down at their daughter.
"And when were you going to tell us, Audrey Gellar?" Lisa practically growled.
Audrey rolled her eyes and got off of the floor. "It's Reid, mom. At least try to acknowledge my husband and his family name." She huffed as she turned on the tap to the sink and pooled some water in her hands before splashing it on her face before using it to wipe her mouth off.
"I don't care about his family name right now!" Lisa yelled in a hushed whisper. "You are pregnant and you didn't tell your own mother!"
"And father..." Cole trailed off.
Audrey kept the sink on to add noise so the kids wouldn't hear. "Mom, Spencer, and I just found out. We were gonna tell you tomorrow at the zoo, okay? You're the first people to know."
Lisa sighed. "I damn well better be."
◇●◇●◇
Spencer sat at his desk with a smile on his face, not knowing that his wife was at home puking her guts out because of a jar of mayo.
"Hey, Spence."
The doctor turned in his chair to see JJ. "Hey, JJ!"
The blonde smiled at him and leaned against his desk. "So... how'd your talk with Audrey go?"
His smile somehow intensified and he let out somewhat of an excited noise. "Okay, okay, you can't tell anyone yet but..." He lowered his voice after he looked around. "Audrey's pregnant again." He whispered excitedly.
JJ gasped loudly and a large smile took over her lips. "Spence! Oh my gosh, that's so great!" She exclaimed as equally quiet as Spencer was.
"Yeah... man, I can't believe we're gonna have our fourth kid." He breathed out. "It feels like yesterday when I asked her out on a date for the first time. She was sixteen and I traveled all the way to California just to see her. I took a taxi. It was raining pretty hard outside and the driver wouldn't drive all the way into her neighborhood. So, I got out and I ran all the way there."
A heavy breathing, chest heaving, nineteen-year-old Spencer Reid knocked on her door. He pulled the receipt out of his pocket just to make sure that it was the right house.
Before he could actually read it though, the door swung open, and a boy no older than seven stood there. "Yeah? What do you want?"
Spencer cleared his throat. "Uh... is this the Gellar residence?"
"What are you, on the phone or something? Talk a little less like a nerd and speak up." The boy smirked.
"Marky, mom, and daddy have told you so many times not to open-" The voice stopped as he came into view.
Spencer recognized the voice from the countless nights he spent talking to her on the phone. There she was, Audrey Gellar, standing there in a big sweater, shorts, and fuzzy missed matched socks. Her eyes were as bright as ever. "Spencer?"
"Oh, you know this loon?" Marcus asked before Audrey tugged him away from the door by his collar and pushed him towards the stairs. "Don't stay out there and make out too late! Mom and dad will be home soon!"
Audrey groaned. "Shut up, Marcus!" She turned back to the soaked boy standing on her porch. "Oh, God, Spencer. I'm sorry about him. Get in here, you're gonna get sick." She tugged him in by his cold hand and walked towards a door in the hallway.
She opened it and pulled out a large blue towel. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming?" Audrey asked before standing on her tippy toes in front of him to wrap the towel around his shoulders.
Spencer let out a small chuckle. "Well, I didn't exactly know that I was coming until I just... came."
"Oooooh. Dirtyyyyyy." Audrey heard from behind her.
She grabbed a baseball from the floor and chucked it at her brother, hitting him in the chest. "Go away, Marc. I'm not gonna tell you again." She warned seriously.
The boy rolled his eyes and retired up the stairs. "Isn't he like... seven?" Spencer asked.
Audrey rolled her eyes. "He steals my dad's playboys." She shook her head and shivered with disgust. "Anyways... Spence, I'm glad you hear but why exactly are you here?"
"I uh... i- see, I didn't want to do this over the phone." He replied shakily.
"Spence, you're freezing come on." She grabbed his hand again and led him through the house until they were in the kitchen. "How do you take your coffee?"
"Uh- um just a lot of sugar." He told her, embarrassed. His cheeks flushed as she turned on the coffee maker and stood on her tippy toes to open a cabinet and grab two mugs out.
"So, what'd you want to tell me?" She asked, placing her hands on his shoulders and pushing, causing him to sit down in a chair.
The boy looked into her eyes. The eyes that he dreamed about were staring right back at him. Spencer cleared his throat. "IreallylikeyouandIhavelikedyouforareallylongtimeandIwanttotakeyououtonadate." He stuttered out.
"Nice job, genius!" They heard Marcus call. Audrey chose to ignore it.
"I'm sorry. I didn't catch that." She giggled. And he knew damn well that she caught it.
"Um... Audrey, I really like you. I think you're the sweetest, most beautiful girl in the world. I really want to go out on a date with you before I leave to go back home." Spencer said. His face was a deep red and his hands were fiddling with each other.
He didn't dare look up at Audrey. "Spencer-"
"I know that I'm probably way out of your league because... I mean look at you!" Audrey bit her lip and opened her mouth to say something but he cut her off. "A-and I know that I'm a little older than you but... I'm me and you're... you, Aud." He smiled and finally looked at her. "I've never asked a girl out before so, this is probably a lot for you but I just... I like you more than anyone." He finished.
Almost immediately after that, the coffee pot dinged signaling that it was done. Audrey took in a sharp breath and turned around with her hands folded in front of her stomach. She grabbed the pot off of the holder and returned to the counter. Spencer bit his lip.
She poured the coffee into his mug and then in hers. She set to pot down and looked up at Spencer with a smile. "I didn't expect all of that from you." She breathed out slowly. She opened a drawer next to the fridge and took put a bunch of sugar packets.
Audrey placed them in front of him and slid his mug across the island. The muscles in her neck strained as she sat across from him. "I... I don't know what to say, Spence. I-"
"I shouldn't have come here." Spencer nodded getting up.
Audrey jumped up from her seat and stood in front of him so he couldn't leave. "Spencer! No, don't leave. I really like you too. It just took me a second to process, you know?" A relieved smile crossed Spencer's lips. "I didn't think you were into me like that. Seeing as you're three years older than me... and super cute." She blushed, fiddling with her fingers.
"So, you'll go out on a date with me?" Spencer asked adorably.
Audrey's eyes softened as she smiled at him. "Of course I will, Spence."
"Can I kiss you?" Spencer whispered.
Audrey couldn't do anything but nod, not believing that she was actually going to kiss the guy that she'd had a crush on for a year now.
The taller boy bit his lip before he leaned down a little. Audrey stood on her tippy toes and closed her eyes slowly. When their lips met, Audrey could swear that she felt her heart burst into flames.
Spencer smiled into the kiss before he pulled away and brushed a piece of hair that fell out of Audrey's ponytail back behind her ear.
When Spencer was done reminiscing, JJ audibly 'awww'ed and clapped her hands quietly. Before she could say anything else Spencer's phone buzzed on his desk. He picked it up and read a text from one of his sons.
Joey: Mom's puking a lot Is there something wrong with her????
Spencer gulped and looked at JJ. "Something wrong, Spence?"
The man cleared his throat. "Aud's experiencing her first episode of morning sickness." He clicked his tongue. "I feel so bad for her. I wish I could take it away."
JJ chuckled. "No, you don't. Trust me, even your own wife wouldn't put you through what we go through." She shook her head.
Spencer widened his eyes. "Well uh... we're going to the doctor tonight after work to see the baby. We won't find out the sex until later but... you think it'll be a girl?"
JJ scoffed and shrugged. "I don't know, Spence. I mean, what do you want?"
"I don't think Aud and I can handle another boy. Charlie's calmer now but Joey is still a handful." Spencer sighed. JJ nodded and stuck her hands on her hips.
"Yeah... my boys are pieces of work too but... we love them more than anything." She told him.
The doctor nodded and smiled up at her.

Audrey sat at the counter, slowly sipping a hot mug of tea. Her mother and father sat in front of her with mugs of their own. The kids were downstairs in the den playing video games.
"Mom, I don't understand why you're so upset. It's not like I had the baby already and didn't tell you." Audrey scoffed with a roll of her eyes.
Lisa rolled her eyes. That's exactly where Audrey got her attitude from. Her mother was one snappy woman and that was passed down to her daughter. "I bet that your husband made you keep this secret from me."
The pregnant woman groaned. "Mom! You're not understanding. Spencer and I literally just found out last night. You always blame him for everything! It's not his fault that you don't like him! God, mom, please stop trying to always make my husband, the man I love, the father of my damn children, into the bad guy!" Audrey slammed her hands down on the table.
Her parents looked at her with wide eyes, not expecting her to snap at them like that. "It's not that we don't like him Aud-" Her father started.
"No, you two were just always judgmental about my choices in life. No matter what they were." Audrey mumbled as she got up.
"Honey-"
"I'm gonna go lay down for a little bit." The woman sighed, walking towards the stairs.
Cole sighed and looked at his wife. "You just had to argue with her today, didn't you?"
The woman rolled her eyes and scoffed. "Well someone had to explain that her own family should come first. If she really loved us-"
"If she really loved us what, Lisa? She'd break it off with her husband? The one guy who she's ever actually been in love with? Come on, sweetheart. Spencer is her family. Those children are her family. You can't expect her to do everything your way." Cole snapped. He was tired of his wife tearing down their only daughter because of the way she was raised.
Cole got out of his seat. "I'm going to go pick up some Chinese food for the children. You should come with me and get out of the house. It seems that we've already suffocated our daughter enough." The man grumbled.
Lisa sighed and followed her husband out of the house.

Driver’s License- Joshua Bassett
Tumblr media
A/n: Liv's album is amazing, and before you comment anything. I know I'm super late since the album came out a while ago. But it's so good, so if you listen to it, tell me in the comments your favorite songs.
Song: Driver's License
Writer: Olivia Rodrigo
  -Samantha
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'' I got my driver's license last week, ust like we always talked about, 'Cause you were so excited for me, To finally drive up to your house, But today, I drove through the suburbs, Crying 'cause you weren't around.'
I was sitting in the DMV waiting to be called to take my turn on the road. I felt my leg start to shake from being nervous. I heard a ding coming from my phone and saw Josh texted me telling me that everything would be okay. I smiled at him and before I could text him back I heard my name being called.
" Y/n Y/l/n!"
I took a deep breath before heading off with the lady that was taking me for my test.
Joshua's POV
I was on set hanging out with the cast when I remembered that Y/n/n was taking her test today. I grabbed my phone and sent a quick text to her before I put my phone back into my pocket. I started walking over to the set I was supposed to be at and I felt my phone ding. I quickly grabbed it thinking it was Y/n/n, but saw it was from Sabrina. I felt myself smile and told her I would meet her at the cafe after work.
Your POV I was doing my last task for my test which was parking. I pulled into the parking lot and looked for one and pulled into the spot. When I knew I was straight I put the car into park.
" Well, Miss. Y/l/n, it looks like you have..." the instructor said, I took a deep breath and waited for her to say it. She looked at me. " You passed! Congrats sweetie."
I let out a breath of relief. " Thank you so much." I told her while getting out of the car. She smiled and led me into the building to get my licenses.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I parked my car and ran excitedly to my apartment that Josh and I share. When I got in the door I yelled....
" JOSH!"
I tried looking for him until I decided to call my best friend Olivia.
" Hey Y/n/n." She said
" Hey Liv!" I shouted
I heard her giggling through the phone. " What's up?" She questioned
" Is Josh still on set? I could have sworn he would be home by now." I asked
Liv sighed " Yea, we got out a while ago."
" Okay. Thanks, Liv." I said
" Welcome. Anyway, you sounded super excited when you called me. What are you so excited about?" She questioned
I let out a laugh and told her... " Okay! I just got my driver's license. I can drive legally by myself now."
She screamed which made me scream in excitement.
" Omg! Congrats girl." Liv shouted
" Thanks again." I said laughing
" Oh, I have a new song coming out tomorrow!" She said
" What!" I shouted
She then went on to explain to me about the song.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
' And you're probably with that blonde girl, Who always made me doubt, She's so much older than me, She's everything I'm insecure about, Yeah, today, I drove through the suburbs, 'Cause how could I ever love someone else?'
It has been about a week since Liv's song and the Josh thing. I was sitting in the living room going through my instagram when a photo caught my eye. It was a photo of Josh and Sabrina looking a little too close. Before I started assuming anything I wanted to know his side of the story.
" Josh?" I asked
Joshua's POV
I was texting with Sabrina when I heard Y/n call me.
" Yea?" I questioned
I sighed when I didn't get a respondes, so I walked out to the living room where she was. I sat next to her and before I opened my mouth she showed me a picture. I tried not to show her how much I was panicking.
" I can explain." I said
She sighed and nodded. I took a deep breath and started explaining...
" I was on a break at the set when I texted you good luck for your test when Sabrina texted me. She wanted to know if I wanted to hang and talk about a song..."
I kept going on about it until I felt her lips on mine. I was shocked, but kissed back.
" Just promise me you're not lying to me?" She whispered
'' I'm not lying Y/n/n." I told her
She held out her pinky and said... " pinky promise."
I linked my much larger pinky with her smaller one. She then wrapped her arms around my torso which made me automatically wrap my arms around her waist.
Your POV ' And all my friends are tired of hearing how much I miss you, but, I kinda feel sorry for them, 'Cause they'll never know you the way that I do,Yeah, today I drove through the suburbs, And pictured I was driving home to you.'
I was over at Liv's house with the girls. I was trying to keep the comments I have about Josh, but they kept coming out. I was in the middle of telling them something, but stopped due to tears falling. I felt Liv wrap her arms around me. I started sobbing into her shoulder which made her hold me tighter.
" Am I not good enough. What's wrong with me Liv?" I asked
" Nothing's wrong with you Y/n/n. Just forget about Josh. Screw him. You don't need a boy cause you have all of us." She told me and pulled me away from her and held my face while wiping the tears away.
" Girl power over powers any boy." She told me which made us all laugh.
" Thanks Liv. Also thanks guys." I smiled, pulling them all into a hug.
When we pulled away from the hug I asked...
" This my sound stupid, but can we listen to your song Liv."
They all let out laughs. Instead of answering me she pulled out her phone and played it. We all screamed the lyrics. When it got to the bridge they all stopped singing so I screamed out the lyrics to them...
" Red lights, stop signs. I still see your face in the white cars, front yards. Can't drive past the places, we used to go to, 'Cause I still fuckin' love you, babe. (Ooh,Ooh-Ooh,Ooh-ooh)"
I opened my eyes to find them all filming me which made me smile. I tried to sing the rest of the bridge, but my voice was sore from screaming and crying. After I hung out with them a little more I went to drive back to the apartment and thought about chickening out. I told myself I had to do it, I had to face him at some point. I walked up to the door and tried to find my key. I started panicking a little, but calmed down right away when I felt it in my pocket. I unlocked the door to find Josh's eyes staring right at me.
' I know we weren't perfect, But I've never felt this way for no one, And I just can't imagine, how you could be so okay now that I'm gone, guess you didn't mean what you wrote in that song about me, 'Cause you said forever, now I drive alone past your street.'
I saw him get up from his spot which made me put my hand out to stop him. I felt tears falling down my cheeks again.
" Y/n/n, please don't cry." he said
" Why did you lie to me? You pinky promised that nothing was going on with her." I said through my tears.
He let out a sigh... " Come on, I'm sorry, I broke the promise. I'm also sorry for..." I stopped him
" Stop! I can't take you lying to me anymore. I'm leaving. I'll come get my stuff later."
He tried to stop me. " No! Josh! I'm done with your crap and I'm tired of the lies you tell me. We're over."
I was about to open the door when I turned around and said...
" Yeah, You said forever. Now I drive alone past your street." I then walked out the door letting it slam behind me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hopefully you guys enjoyed, also sorry if it's confusing. I just hope you understand it, if not let me know and I can figure a way to fix it. Thanks for all the love guys.

Every lie you ever told- Draco Malfoy
She can't help the grin that sits on her lips as she strolls through the library.
She had entered the room in a foul mood, after a long day and detention with professor Snape she hadn't been in the mood to spend her evening alone working in the library, but her friends had been too busy to accompany her and she really needed to finish the essay she had due in tomorrow.
She would have normally asked Draco. He was the best boyfriend she could ask for. Completely doting on her, anything she ever wanted he was right there with it. He loved her for exactly who she was and she felt the same way. She would do anything for the boy.  They had gotten together almost a year prior, having met at a party in the Malfoy manor. She was the year below him so despite knowing of each other and sharing a common room they had never spoken until then.
She hadn't had a chance to find him to ask him to join her and it was pure luck that he was say with Zabini, Crabbe and Goyle. She got on well with his friends and knew they wouldn't mind her joining to do her essay. She also knew afterwards Draco would probably take her hand and pull her into a broom closet, complaining she had distracted him whilst he studied with a smirk on his face.
She approaches the table from behind, having recognised the group of fifth year slytherins from behind and was preparing to wrap her arms around her boyfriend and press a loving kiss to his cheek when she heard it.
"Draco, you have to tell her. It will be so much worse if she finds out from anyone else," Blaise was urging. She could feel it in her gut. They were talking about her.
"That won't happen. I've covered my tracks, she'll never know, it's for her own good," Draco states, his tone cold. She knows she shouldn't be listening but she can't bare to walk away now.
"There's no way Parkinson won't tell her, not now she knows," Blaise pesters. So Pansy was a part of this. That made the girls blood burn.
Pansy Parkinson was a sore spot in the couples relationship. She had consistently been rude and hurtful towards the girl at the beginning of her relationship with Draco. The girl has spoken to her boyfriend about it after he found her crying, assured her that Pansy was nothing to him. He shot down the rumour he has dated the Parkinson witch. They had slept together that night, it was the girls first time and Draco had been perfect. It was when she realised she was in love with her  boyfriend, not that she told him until two months after.
"She will believe me over Parkinson," Draco shrugs
"Weird considering your relationship is built on lies," Blaise laughs. She isn't sure how to react. She can feel tears prickling her eyes as she watches her boyfriend threaten his friend, she has never been anything but honest with Draco . Had he really lied to her?
**
"There you are, I've been missing you," he grins as he drops onto the seat in front of his girlfriend, pressing a kiss to her cheek before leaning back in the arm chair. The common room is empty other than them.
"Here I am," she shrugs, not even looking up from the book she's reading. The truth is she's been avoiding him for the past two weeks, not sure how to bring up what she knows. Not sure is she wants to.
"You didn't miss me too," he pouts, eyebrows furrowing in confusion when she shrugs as response. Normally she would giggle and assure him she did, climbing into his lap and whispering to him about her day as he presses kissed to her neck making her blush. Then again normally she wouldn't let days pass without them seeing each other. "Where've you been anyway? You've been MIA for days," he questions
"I've been around. Busy," she shrugs. He can't help the jealous feeling in the pit of his stomach. Who had she been with? He has found her friends to ask where she was multiple times. Scoured the whole castle and been unable to find the girl he adored.
"Why are you being like this?" He questions. They never fight and it felt wrong to use his cold tone with her and yet here he was. She groans, folding the page of her book and placing it down on the side  table next to her armchair.
"Like what?" She questions, he scoffs at that
"You're pulling away, all distant and standoffish," he accuses
"I haven't-"
"Don't insult both our intelligence by denying it," he speaks through gritted teeth.
"Fine. I heard you in the library two weeks ago. Blaise said our relationship was built on lies. What did that mean?" She questions. He looks startled. Like a deer in the headlight. Like a man caught red handed.
"It meant nothing, Zabini is stupid," Draco tests and there's another lie
"Draco tell me the truth,"
"About what?" He questions. She stands up now
"Everything! How much do you lie to me to not know what bit of truth I want?" She demands, pacing now. He groans, throwing his head back
"Fine. I will tell you. But you can't over react," he decides to ignore the scoff she lets out.
"When we first met I was using you," he admits. She could feel her heart breaking. She had always found Draco attractive, and from the moment they spoke she could feel herself falling.
"I had no interest in you. I wanted to make Parkinson jealous so I used you," he continues. "That doesn't change how I feel for you now, I'm so in love with you it's the scariest thing in the world,"
"For how long?"
"Four months," he admits. She feels like her whole world stops.
"Draco, we slept together when we had only been together for three. You slept with me to make Pansy jealous?" She can feel the tears pouring from her eyes. She had been in love and he had been using her. His heart breaks at the sight, breaks at how she flinches away when he moves to comfort her.
"I took it too far, I know I did, I just-"
"Draco I gave you my virginity! You knew that! It meant something to me and you knew that too! I realised I was in love with you that night!" She shouts. His heart breaks. He has fallen for her so hard that Pansy truly never received a second thought anymore but how could he ever make her believe that now.
"Angel, I love you so much, it just took me a bit longer,"
"Everything about us is a lie!"
"No, no, how I feel about you. Everything I've said to you. None of it is a lie!"
"How can I ever believe you?" She questions, it's quiet, he can tell that she wants to believe him but knows how much it would destroy her.
"I don't know," he admits, his heart is broken now "please, just forgive me and put all of this behind us,"
"How can I forgive you? I don't even know what is true anymore,"
"I'll do anything,"
"Write me a list. Write me a list of every lie you ever told me and I'll decide if I can forgive you," she states before turning on her heel and fleeing to her room, sobbing to her best friend.
**
"Leave her alone Draco," the voice is sharp in his ear. Her best friend had been overly protective over this past 48 hours, not letting Draco anywhere near the girl he believed to be the love of his life.
She looks dishevelled as she sits at breakfast, her friends comforting her. Her hair is messy and her eyes have deep and dark bags under them like she hasn't slept. Her face blotchy from crying. He knows he looks equally broken.
"Just give me a minute, please?" He asks her best friend, he's nervous, knows she doesn't deserve this. Knows he will never be worthy of her and never was.
"No,"
"It's fine," the girl croaks looking up to her boyfriend. Ex-boyfriend? She's not really sure where they stand anymore.
"Are you okay?" Draco asks as he pushes past her friend to sit next to her on the bench, wanting so badly to touch her, hold her too him but he's too scared to try. Too scared to be shot down.
She shrugs, desperate for him to hold her and makes this all go away but too awkward to ask him too.
"Are you?" She questions
"No. It's my own fault though," he admits "I wrote it. The list I mean," he continues, pulling the envelope from  his pocket. "It's every lie I ever told you. I'm truly sorry," he finishes placing the letter in her hand before standing up and walking away.
**
She doesn't open it until two days later, too scared to see what it says. To have any more precious memories crash and burn around her.
She pulls the envelope open, heart beating out of her chest as she sits on her bed in the empty dorm.
Darling, This is a list of every lie I ever told. Know I regret them all. 1) I never dated Pansy (I did for seven months) 2) that I was originally interested in you (you know that one though) 3) that I wasn't jealous when Zabini kissed your cheek that one time ( I punched him for it) 4) that I hadn't thought of another girl in months when we first slept together (I can't believe I ever stooped so low. I regret it with every fibre of my being. I first realised my feelings for you were becoming genuine that night)
The list goes on, three whole pieces of parchment but by the time she's over the initial bad ones they're almost sweet. That it didn't hurt when she accidentally slapped him. That he hadn't had a nightmare. That he hadn't been utterly distracted by how beautiful she is and accidentally zoned out when she was talking a thousand times. That he wasn't nervous when he met her family for the first time. That he wasn't scared she was going to leave him when she met his.
When she gets to the end she's in tears, every lie he told since the bad ones had been sweet, had been to make her happy. It's then that she realises something, he loved her as much as she loved him he just started a little later.
She knows it'll be hard to work through it but she also knows that for him it's worth it. He lied to her time and time again, but for the most part his lies had been to protect her or to make her happy.
She can't stop her feet moving on their own accord as she jogs down the stairs, pushing through the crowds in the corridor as she approaches the great hall knowing he will be there.
She sees him in the corridor outside the hall, looking as heartbroken as the last time she saw him. Surrounded by his friends. She approaches them and grabs his hand spinning him around.
His eyes widen at the sight of her.
"Draco Malfoy, look me in the eye and tell me honestly. Are you in love with me?" She demands.
"I am. I am completely and utterly in love with you," he admits, slightly confused. She grins before wrapping her arms round his neck and pulling him down, pressing her lips to his in a heated kiss.
He seems shocked but kisses back, pulling her as close as physically possible, taking in everything about her, scared it'll be the last time. They pull apart, panting lightly.
"No more lies," she whispers
"Never again," he grins as she presses her lips to his in a peck. "I don't deserve you," he whispers
"Any boy prepared to go through what you went through to make me happy deserves me Dray,"  she whispers. He shakes his head at this opening his mouth to protest but she's quick to press her lips to his to stop him.
"You wanna get dinner?" She questions
"Of course," he smiles back, arm wrapping around her waist
"And after we can head to your dorm and make up for lost time," she grins and giggles at his smirk
"Oh we will be doing plenty of that," he can't help the grin as he squeezes her tighter to him. How did he ever get so lucky?

big brother to the rescue.
Tumblr media
BEN MILLER
TRIPLE FRONTIER. ┃ USEFUL LINKS.
Tumblr media
❝ request by @meteora-fc: hello hello! hope you're doing well :) i was thinking about a ben miller fic where when they're in the bar towards the beginning the reader is there with her friends and the boys push benny to talk to her bc he's getting distracted from conversation by her across the place. thanks a ton 💖
❝ words: about 1.6k.
❝ a / n: if you'd like to read a second part, lemme know! don’t forget to comment and reblog if you liked it, i’d really appreciate it!
Tumblr media
“C’mon, little brother. She’s been looking at you the whole night”. Will says palming his back, after catching him distracted for the third time.
“Go, before I do”. Frankie challenges him with a petty smile, knowing it’s going to be enough to force the boxer to take the step.
Taking a deep, deep breath, finding in that gesture the encouragement he needs, Benny goes straight to you, waiting for the bartender to serve you another beer.
At first, you don’t notice his presence, until the unknown guy stops by your side leaning too over the bar. You two cross your gazes, sharing a soft smile that makes your knees tremble. The blonde looks really good, but for some reason, you have the feeling that he could be an idiot, so when he throws at you one of those horrible pickup lines, you can’t help but roll your eyes.
“I’m gonna give you advice. Don’t hit a girl like that”. You just reply with a chuckle, referring to his words.
“I’m more into hitting men”.
For a second, where you were about to leave with your drink, you squint at him having a sip and trying to understand the meaning of his affirmation.
“I box, professionally”.
“Oh
” You nod your chin, puckering your lips, showing him that this fact doesn’t impress him at all. “Congrats. Good luck in your next fight”.
Not giving him the chance to continue the talk, you come back to your table under the attentive looks of your friends, who are laughing at the poor guy and the gesture on his face. His brothers, on the other hand, have slapped their faces whilst shaking their heads disappointed. As soon as Benny joins him, Santi slaps the back of his neck, causing him to choke in his beer.
“There must be something wrong with my eyes, ’cause I can’t take them off you? Really, Benny? Really?”
The guys are laughing when Pope repeats his sentence, as Will puts an arm over his shoulders. “You’re lucky to have me
 Big brother to the rescue”.
Anna nudges you, making you turn on your stool to watch a second guy walking towards you, very secure of himself. The only thing you wanted tonight was to have fun with your friends and seems it’s not going to be an option. Crossing a leg over the other and nailing an elbow on the table, resting your chin on your palm, you force a smirk when he offers you a kind smile.
“Good nights, ladies, sorry to interrupt. William, a pleasure”.
The man holds your free hand without asking for it to stretch it. Firmly. Like only a soldier would do —as your father does. He turns for a second to his friends, laying his oceanic and hypnotic eyes on you with a charming and funny grimace on his face.
“Sorry ‘bout my brother, you know... too many punches”. He has captivated your friends, who are gasping for him and the honeyed tone he’s using, covered by a raspy voice. “He has watched you looking at him and he was nervous, but he’s not a bad guy. Just a little asshole. But he’s worth it, believe me”.
“Okay”. You reply slowly, raising an eyebrow earning your attention little by little.
“He has begged me to not come, but I think you’re too smart to not have a date with him”.
“Your brother was right, you didn’t have to come. And you’re wrong, more or less. I’m very smart, but having a date with him doesn’t seem a very intelligent idea”.
“Got it. But he’ll be waiting for you at seven in Kaleo’s, tomorrow night”. A negative it’s not an option to the soldier, showing you his perfect white teeth in a huge smile clapping his hands before leaving. “Good night, ladies. Have a good time”.
Tumblr media
Since last night, you've been debating with your friends if you should go to the date just to prove both men were wrong. Lucy would call you crying if you text her in case the guy is another idiot.
The first test is to see if he'd wait for you, arriving thirty minutes later than the hour William told you. Your heart can't help but race a little when you find the blonde boxer sitting on the hood of a black Mustang, in front of the restaurant. Wearing a white t-shirt and black jeans, he has both legs crossed and his hands laced over his lap. Head bowed down and a sigh escaping his lips as he checks the clock on his wrist. Poor guy, he's thinking you are not going to come.
You send a picture of him to the chat group where your friends are asking you if he's still there and, in less than a second, you receive a bunch of heart emojis from all of them. Keeping your phone in a pocket, as you tuck in your hands too, you begin to walk towards him. Step by step. Taking your time with a soft smirk curving your lips as you come closer and closer. Watching him texting someone too, you roll your eyes, imagining it's to some random chick to hang out with, due you have stood him up. Until you're almost leaning above his shoulder and you see he's texting his brother —who is very interested in knowing if you're there or not. You melt as he replies: “amma wait another thirty minutes, maybe there's traffic”.
“You can say to your brother I'm here”. You whisper into his ear, taking him by surprise and causing the boxer to jump off from the hood.
“Oh, fuck. You scared the shit outta m— Where you readin' my phone?”
“Nah, I've some witch in me”. You lie terrible, feeling goosebumps on your arms when his gesture changes suddenly.
A grin like a Cheshire cat decorates his face, offering you his phone as he pressed the small microphone in the bottom right corner.
“Hey, big brother, I came. I hope you weren't wrong”.
“I'm Ben, by the way”. He introduces himself as keeping his phone in a pocket, to offer you his right hand.
“(Y/N)”. You stretch it then, feeling a little nervous at his touch.
“So, this is the plan. We have a beer, and if you think I'm a freak, you can run away before dinner. No questions, no explanations. You just
 leave”.
God, that's really sweet. He's nervous too and you can see in his blue eyes how scared he is if you really decide to disappear.
“Deal”. You accept, tilting your head to the restaurant.
A couple of minutes later Ben is sitting in front of you and the first thing that captivates your attention is the fact that he doesn't put his phone on the table. Living in the technology era, everybody keeps an eye on their devices. Constantly. But he's not like everybody. He wants to talk. Know about you. What you do in your free time, what you do for a living, what unveils you at night
 And you talk for hours.
Ben tells you what pushed him to be in the army, why he decided to dedicate his life to boxing and he also jokes about how you could fix him up after his fighting. Something like a plan of the future. Together. As friends —as he points out to not make you feel uncomfortable, thinking that he is forcing you to have a relationship. You also discover that your taste in music and movies are very similar, just like your hobbies. And that makes you think about the fact that William will tell you “I wasn't wrong”.
The boxer gladly takes you home, not stopping your chat even when one of the two of you doesn't know what to say, Benny has shown you in some way he enjoys too much the sound of your voice though —how it goes a little higher when you're excited about something, how your throat vibrates when you laugh. And he's falling in love with the disgusted tic that wrinkles your nose when you don't like something, in a funny gesture.
You would die for staying together a little more, but you have obligations to attend tomorrow and your friends haven't ceased sending your texts asking you how it's going. As Ben stops his car next to your house, you sigh not knowing what to do —if just say bye, thank you, ask for his number, kiss him? Yes, you'd like to kiss him right now, but what does it say about you? Should you wait until the second date?
“Got a fight tomorrow night if you're free”. His proposition pushes you back to reality, turning at him on your seat while resting a shoulder against it. “You can invite your friends, mine will be there”.
“Your brother too?” You ask giggling, noticing the change on his grimace to somewhat underwhelmed because of your interest.
“Yeah, he will come”. Ben mumbles pressing his lips after nodding briefly.
“Ugh
 Is he the kind of person who has fun saying I told you?”
Ben's gesture suddenly changes again. The shine in his blue deep eyes reappears and you provoke him a strong laugh when you furrow your nose like he literally adores.
“You've had a good night then?”
“Yes”. You don't hesitate to respond, leaning towards him to press your lips on his cheek with a loud kiss.
“See? He told you”. Ben can't help but make fun of you, earning a soft punch to his shoulder that makes him laugh one more time. “It's in the Holou gym, at seven”.
“Okay, I'll not forget it”. You reply, taking your phone and setting an alarm an hour before starting to have time to get ready. “Good night, Ben”.
“Good night, (Y/N)”.

Meeting Part one
"Marinette, sweetheart, you are adopted."
Adopted
When her parents told her they had something important to talk to her she figured it was about school or worst-case scenario, they found out about her extracurricular activities as a super heroine.
No, instead they told Marinette that her whole life had been a lie.
They sat her down and explained that she had been adopted when she was nine months old. They tripped over themselves trying to reassure her that they loved her as their own and tried to defend the reason why they never told her.
Marinette didn't know what to think. Things like this were only supposed to happen in movies. Not become her reality.
Marinette felt so confused as she tried to process it all. None of it made sense. Tom and Sabine were her biological parents. They
 they had to be.
But, the truth was slowly sinking in.
Marinette had never truly understood the expression "ignorance is bliss" until that moment. Somehow not knowing the truth felt like a better option than the alternative.
"But, why now?" Marinette asked hesitantly. "If you weren't planning to ever tell me, then why do it now?"
She really hoped she was wrong, but in movies that was when they tell her that one of her bio parents died. Usually, said parent was royalty meaning that she would be next in line for the throne. Oh gosh, would she have to move to a strange country and rule it?
Oh wait, she was apparently born in America. And as far as Marinette knew, America didn't have a monarch.
She snapped out of her thoughts in time to see Tom and Sabine share a look. Finally, Sabine spoke up "Do you remember the scholarship honey?"
She did.
Marinette had been given a one in a lifetime opportunity to study in a prestigious art school in the outskirts of Paris and was offered a scholarship that covered half of the tuition.
Unfortunately, the Dupain-cheng's didn't have enough money to cover the other half. While the bakery was fairly popular, all of their savings had dried up the month prior when the delivery truck broke down, and they were forced to buy a new one.
Because of this, Marinette had to turn down the scholarship.
Marinette's stomach dropped as she realized that her parents... or well Tom and Sabine had been struggling financially, even without the scholarship, because of her, with the knowledge of being adopted she couldn't help but feel like an unnecessary burden to them.
Seeing her daughter's crestfallen expression, Sabine rushed to Marinette's side giving her a small hug before saying. "Sweetie, we love you okay? And it broke our hearts when you had to turn down that amazing opportunity, so we tried to contact your biological father hoping he would be able to help us." She explained.
"We never heard back from him." Tom chimed in "but we thought it would be better to let you know in case we do later on."
Marinette nodded. That
 made sense, and it was far better than what Marinette had immediately assumed.
Still, all the information was too overwhelming. Marinette needed to talk to the kwamis, they would help her understand the situation better.
"I- I need to go." Marinette stood up and sprinted up the stairs, towards her room. Ignoring her parents who called after her.
She ran up to her bed and landed face first in it. All the kwamis flew out from their hiding spots and gathered around her.
Tikki nuzzled her cheek. "Oh Marinette, I'm so sorry."
Marinette let out a small humorless chuckle. "So, you heard huh?"
"Sure did, bug." Plagg said, floating close to her face. "Personally, I think we should find that father of yours and
 you know
 bless him with a not so great day."
This time Marinette actually laughed. "I think you meant curse and no, we are not going to do that." Plagg rolled his eyes.
Suddenly, Marinette felt tired. She could continue talking with the kwamis later. She needed to sleep, yeah"I think I'm going to sleep for a bit," she informed them
Tikki nodded. "Sweet dreams Marinette." The rest of the kwamis echoed this as Marinette drifted off to sleep.
~♡~♡~♡~
Plagg grinned as he turned on the computer.
Tikki flew up to him. "What are you doing?" She asked, scandalized.
"We are going to google Pigtails' biological father," he explained.
Tikki groaned, "you don't even know how to use a computer! And there's no 'we' if you want to do something that's your problem!"
Plagg smirked devilishly "Sugar Cube, we are literal gods. We can do this! Don't you want to know who he is."
Tikki begrudgingly agreed, she even helped him open the browser. "Okay so type in 'Bruce Wayne'"she instructed. "And then press that weird looking key that says enter alright?"
Plagg complied. The two kwamis turned to look at the results.
Both kwamis gaped at the screen. Plagg whispered."Well, if this is the same guy but if so-"
"Then Marinette is the daughter of a billionaire." Tikki cut in, examining the picture. "Plagg, I think this is him."
"It's the eyes isn't it?" Tikki nodded.  "Yeah, well that would mean that a freaking billionaire ignored the pleas of the adoptive parents of his biological daughter!" Plagg exclaimed, growing angry.
"Well maybe he didn't believe them?" Tikki tried to reason.
Plagg suddenly growled at the screen."Look! He has like as many kids as he has money!"
Tikki frowned, "Then why would he abandon his daughter?"
"Because he's a jerk! And I thought my kid's dad was bad!" Plagg glared at the picture causing Tikki to giggle. "What?"
"I don't think I've ever seen you so worked up over something that isn't cheese." She teased.
Plagg huffed, "well, your Bug gives me cheese, but if she's sad then she forgets. So it's really in my best interest to make sure Pigtails isn't upset."
Tikki laughed. "Yeah, yeah I totally believe you." She said sarcastically. "Anyways, do you think Marinette realizes her father is famous? "
Plagg snorted. "Are you kidding? If she knew she would still be freaking out." Tikki hummed in agreement. "Well, I think that now that we know who he is it's time to do what Pigtails would not let me do." Plagg concluded.
"Wait, what? No!" Tikki exclaimed.
"Ooo can I help with that?" A new voice asked. The kwamis turned to see Kaalki looking at them with a mischievous grin.
"Sure thing!" Plagg said just as Tikki was saying "No!"
The two ignored the spotted kwamii and began plotting how they were going to make sure Bruce Wayne would have the most unfortunate luck for at least a couple of days.
~♡~♡~♡~
It had not been a very good day for Bruce.
The DNA test had finally arrived, and he found out that he did, in fact, have another biological child. Unfortunately, Tim found the test and his efforts of trying to keep it a secret had been in vain because then most of his children interrogated him about their newfound sibling. Even Jason was there which was surprising.
Thankfully, they were wise enough not to tell Damian, because otherwise Marinette Dupain-cheng would have been in grave danger.
Dick, along with the rest, insisted that they needed to meet Marinette. So with the help of Tim, they arranged a trip to Paris for the next day. Meaning that Bruce had less than 12 hours to find Marinette and talk to her before that happened.
So as soon as all of his kids left, he asked Alfred to arrange an early flight.
Which is how he found himself in front of CollÚge Françoise Dupont, the high school his daughter attended.
In the rush, he had forgotten to call beforehand, so he called Alfred and asked him to inform Marinette's parents of his arrival.
Bruce still wanted to talk to Marinette before Dick or someone else inevitably found out that he had left. So he got out of the car and walked inside, only to be greeted by a very flustered looking principal.
It wasn't until she called him "Mister Wayne" that Marinette realized who he was.
"Mister Wayne! It's uh, an honor to meet you!" The man exclaimed nervously while shakily  extending his hand. "I received your call and I informed Marinette's homeroom teacher of your arrival. They- they should be in my office right now."
Bruce thanked him. On the way to the office Mr. Damocles told him "What an excellent student" Marinette was. He insisted that Marinette was one of the best students in his school. It made Bruce suspicious of the way that principal treated the rest of his students.
Finally, they arrived at the office. Marinette sat in a chair looking rather confused as her teacher stood next to her wearing a tight smile.
Mrs. Bustier introduced herself in a similar manner as Mr. Damocles.
It wasn't until she called him "Mister Wayne" that Marinette realized who he was.
Her face paled as she let out a small gasp. "You- you are my father."
In retrospect, he probably should have introduced himself to her first.

Family Day- Din Djarin x Reader
Tumblr media
This wonderful moodboard is brought to readers like you by @jedi-jesi (go give her some love. She’s a literal mastermind)
A/n: Cara is a flirt and I will except no other answer.
This is the next part to my Days filled with Love series! You can find the first part here :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Mommy! Look I’m flying!” Reeza screams out in delight as Paz lifts her around in the air.
“Very nice, sweetheart.” Smiling, you go back to stirring the soup you have planned for dinner.
“Hey magic hands!” Greef, loudly announces his arrival, instantly giong to pick up your eldest child.
Cara follows him with her signature smirk, “Hey mama.” Din’s hands tighten on your hips, but you shoo him away.
Leaving the soup and your husband's hands, you tickle Grogu’s nose in Greefs arms. “I’m so glad you two were able to make it!”
“And risk never experiencing your cooking again?” She scoffs but allows you to pull her into a large hug, her own arms eventually wrapping around your shoulders.
“You’re always welcome.” You shimmy from her arms with a wide smile, but you can feel the heavy stare of your husband on where you two were conjoined.
“Auntie Cara!” Myles rushes in from outside and tackles her.
“Hey little man!” She lifts him up into her arms and rubs his helmet. “Now you match shiny over there.” You just know under his helmet he has the biggest smile.
Paz walks over with Reeza still climbing from his limbs. “Do you need help with anything?”
Giving him a grateful beam, “No, I think I’m alright.” Isabet cries from her seat at the table. “Actually can you-”
“I’ve got it.” Before you can even finish your sentence, Paz has already taken Isabet into his arms. “Come on Di’kut, get your son, we’ll teach them how to wrestle like the good old days.” Walking out the door, Myles jumps from his aunts arms, and grabs her hand, leading her after his uncle. Greef, with Grogu in his arms, follows right after them.
Din’s hands find your hips once again and he slowly raises his helmet. Pressing a kiss to your cheek as he takes Tobbi from where he was strapped to your back. “We’ll be outside.”
“Mm, okay have fun. Don’t let Paz bruise them up too bad.” However, there is no true worry in your voice. You know for a fact that on any given day Paz would protect your children and your family as if they were his own.
***
You watch with a smile on your face as Paz lets all five of your children climb all over him outside. He really does love them as if they were his own.
“Mesh’la, why don’t you come outside?” Two hands grab your hips and turn you around.
“Din! You scared me!” Lifting his helmet to his forehead, you peer up into his brown eyes. “I’m almost done with dinner, then I’ll come out.”
He leans forward and attaches to your neck, his hands lift you up and set you on the counter. Walking forward, he lodges himself between your thighs. “You look so pretty in this dress.” One of his hands trails up from your knee, pulling the fabric of your yellow sundress to your hips.
Grasping his hair you giggle as his scruff tickles your collarbone. “Thank you. But you better not be planning anything right now mister.”
“Why? Everyone's outside, no one will know.”
“I can’t believe you’re even thinking of that while we have guests!” You pull him from your neck, but you can’t hide the soft smile on your face. He just whines, bottom lip pushed out in a pout that you can’t help but kiss.
“You two better not be making anymore kids in there!”
A squeak falls from your lips as Cara sticks her head in the kitchen. Heart rising to your cheeks as you push your dress back down to your ankles. Din only shoves his helmet back on his head and offers a mumbled, “I’m trying.”
She smirks at the two of you, leaning on the doorframe and crossing her arms. “Just wanted another drink of water. But it seems like a tall glass of it was waiting for me on the counter. Weren’t you little Mama?”
As you walk over to the fridge, you elbow your husband as he growls. Grabbing the ice cold water, you pour a glass for Cara and hand it to her. “Here you go.” Flashing her a smile, you take the fresh bread from the oven. “Could you do me a favor and tell everyone that dinner is ready?”
“Sure thing mama.” Downing her glass in one big chug, she sets the glass in the sink and walks back out the door.
“I don’t like that she calls you that.” Once again, his greedy hands pull at your flesh.
“She just does it because she knows it gets under your skin. It’s just how she teases you.” Pressing your forehead against his helmet, press a kiss to where his mouth would be. “Now can you go use these big muscles and grab three extra chairs?” Giving his biceps a firm squeeze to further prove your point. “If you’re good, I’ll give you a nice gift tonight, okay?”
He growls in approval and walks away, but not without delivering a firm smack to your bottom.
***
As the sun sets and fireflies start to rise from their slumber, laughter can be heard from the Djarin residence.
“And then-” Paz’s booming laughter fills the living room from where he sits on the floor, “then he just fell over! Like one second he was there and the next he was gone!”
“You never told me you fell off a blurrg.” Your own words falling soft as they try to sound through your giggles. The hand your husband holds is squeezed and you just know under that helmet his cheeks are rosy.
“He’s making it sound worse than it was.” His visor tilts down to look at Isabet who has fallen asleep in his arms, trying to hide his embarrassment.
Paz scoffs and tickles Reeza’s stomach, giggles erupting from where her limbs thrash around. “Your dad’s an idiot.”
It’s like a flip was switched in her mind. She wrangles herself from his hold and stands protectively in front of her father. “Daddy’s not an idiot! He’s the smartest person alive!” Her little scowl mirrors perfectly the one her father often throws you.
Greef chuckles and him and Cara share a glance.
Sounding prouder than he should be, Din states, “Yeah, hear that, smartest person alive.”
Paz crosses his arms, “Yeah because the “smartest” person would obviously cheat off of me on every single written test we had.”
“That was only one time! I wasn’t able to go to class because you broke my arm! It was only fair.”
“WHAT!” Snapping your head to the left, you peer at Din, needing explanation.
“You haven’t told her yet?” Paz, for once, actually sounds shocked.
“It’s embarrassing.”
“Oh come on shiny, now we all want to know. You’ve got mama over here on the edge of her seat.”
Myles looks up at you from where he sits between your legs on the floor. Studying your facial features as you eagerly nod at your husband.
“If he won’t say anything, I’ll tell it. So it was when we were about sixteen and seventeen.” Reeza, already enveloped into the story, places herself back into his lap. “We were friends with this one girl and I-”
“You had the biggest crush on her.” Din interjects.
“We were friends! Anyway, her birthday was coming up and WE wanted to get her something. But WE wanted it to be special, so WE decided to poke in her room while she was doing her training. You know, learn more about her.”
“So you were looking for her diary?” Cara asks.
“Uncle Paz isn’t that mean?”
Looking down at Reeza he says, “Never do anything that your father and I did when we were young. And no, not her diary. Something that told us more about her.”
“So a diary.”
Paz’s helmet tilts towards her and you know he's glaring. “Anyway, the major problem was, her room was on the second floor of the covert, so in order to get up there we had to climb through her window.”
“SO he elected me to stand on his shoulders and climb in.” Din huffs.
“You offered!”
“Yeah because I didn’t want to lift your fat-”
“DIN!” Slapping your hands over Myles ears, you yell over him.
“You’re just jealous that I’m taller and stronger than you. Anyway, we were about to make it in, but low and behold, she opened the door and it spooked Din.”
“No, you were scared because you liked her, so you lost your footing. So Paz fell over and I fell on top of him. I tried to catch myself, but I rammed my forearm right into Paz’s butt and we eventually found out I broke it.”
“Butt of steel baby.” Everyone besides Din breaks out in laughter at his comment.
“Not something you should be proud of.” Din huffs out beside you.
“Wait so how did this mystery chick respond?” Greef asks.
“Let’s just say we weren’t friends anymore.” Paz shrugs his shoulders. “Missed out.”
***
All five of the kids have been put down, it already being way past their bedtime.
“Come sit with me mama.” Cara pats her thighs and before you can respond Din pulls you into his lap.
“Tough luck.” Greef mocks her before sighing, “Anyway, we best be getting back. I’m dreading what’s going to be left of the city.” Cara rolls her eyes and shakes her head.
Standing up from your husband's lap, you rush into the kitchen. “Let me grab you some leftovers! Hang tight for one minute.” Throwing some soup, bread, and fruit into tupperwares, you hand them to Greef and a few to Cara.
“Thanks mama.”
Smiling, you pull her into one last hug, “Of course.” Letting her go and giving another hug to Greef, he gives you a firm pat to your back. “It was so good to see you guys.”
He smiles before leaning down and whispering in your ear, “You know, you really make him happy.” Shocked, you peer into his eyes searching for the usual jokes he cracks. He only nods and offers your husband a firm handshake. “Until later, Mando.” The two of them walk out and back to their ship.
“Guess that’s my cue.”
Turning to Paz you pout, “Oh no, you’re totally welcome to stay. We have the guest room for a reason.” Little do you know that behind you Din is glaring and signaling for him to leave.
“Ehhhh, umm, I don’t want to overstay my welcome. Plus, I have, umm, some stuff to do tomorrow.”
Giving him a big hug, you laugh as he picks you up. “Thank you for coming, it means the world to the kids.”
He sets you down and under his helmet he smiles, “You guys are my family, I wouldn’t have missed it for anything.”
Smiling, you watch as the two men hug each other as if they are never going to let go. It’s the truest form of a bro hug. They both have their arms at an angle and firm pats are delivered to each other's backs. Small whispers you can’t pick up are spoken between the two.
“Thanks for coming man.”
“For sure. Alright, I’m heading out. See you guys around.”
Waving at him from the porch, Din walks up behind you and grabs your hips.
Sighing, you relax into his embrace. His fingertips massage circles into your hips and his head rests on your shoulder.
“What is it?”
“I- uh, I think you promised me a gift earlier.” He pulls you back against his hips and you gasp at the way he’s poking your back.
“Already?”
“I can’t help it!”
Giggling you let him pull you inside. “Alright sit down and watch your show.”
“A show? Now I’m really excited!”
Come and Find Me
Chapter One: I’m Stuck
Tumblr media
I won’t lie when writing the cute parts of the story I listened to “I’m Stuck” by Noah Cyrus.
Spencer Reid x Reader
Warnings: None
Read Prologue here   Masterlist
You stumbled into your favorite coffee shop. You were a mess this morning and it’s all because your alarm decided to fuck you over and not wake you up on time. Luckily your body didn’t completely betray you, naturally waking up an hour later than you had planned, but still giving you a half hour to get to your meeting.
You had screamed when you saw the time, this meeting could be your next big break, and getting there late was not how you wanted to start a new design deal. At a mere 23 years old you were still making your way up into the world. After graduating college a semester early you had worked your ass off and started your own independent interior design business. You focused on designing office spaces for big businesses using workplace psychology to create an environment that brought up productivity and reduced the stress of workers.
Your business was slowly gaining traction, but the company you were meeting today could really put your name out there.
You had planned to wake up early, put yourself together and center yourself over a cup of coffee, however, life can never be that simple. So here you were, quick light makeup and your hair in a simple bun rather than the elaborate “I am a professional” look you planned. The one thing you did have going for you was your outfit, a white blouse that complimented your figure and tan capri pants, with a strappy heeled sandal. You had made sure it was spotless and ironed before your big day today, so at least you had that going for you.
“Oh darling, you look a bit out of it, are you alright?” Your favorite barista and dear friend Ava, asked, her green eyes filled with concern.
“Av, you would not believe the hell of the morning I’ve had.” You groaned. “I woke up late today and I have that huge meeting I told you about and all of the things I had planned to keep me grounded and ready flew out the window.”
Ava let out a tsk sound and patted your hand. “Oh babe, in that case, coffee’s on me. Take a deep breath. You’ve been planning for this meeting for weeks and with that amount of work and dedication, you’re definitely going to knock’em dead.”
“Ave, you are the light of my life.” You said, already feeling lighter than you did when you first entered.
“Oh babe, I know.” She winked, brushing a stray purple bang out of her eye. “I want an update on everything afterwards, you’ve got my number! James will have your coffee ready for you at the other end. Good luck!”
“Thank you! I promise I will!” You grinned and made your way to the other end of the counter, where your coffee was waiting.
Knowing your order by heart, James had already started your latte the moment you walked in, you thanked whatever God listening that it was ready so fast. James gave you a shy smile and handed you the coffee. “Here you go.”
“Thanks James.” You gave him a kind smile and turned to leave. Glancing down at your watch, you realized you had ten minutes to get to your meeting, but luckily it was just up the block so you would get there right on time.
But like you said nothing is ever easy. You weren’t exactly paying attention as you walked out of the store, you were double checking your bag to make sure you had everything, so naturally you slammed into someone, causing coffee to get all over your blouse.
You let out a yelp, while a large hand came out to steady you. “I am so sorry! Are you alright?” A male voice asked.
“Well, aside from the fact that I have a meeting that could change my life in 5 minutes and now I look like a disheveled mess with coffee on her blouse, I’m fine.” You grumbled finally looking at the face of your accidental attacker. Your heart stopped for a moment.
He was stunning. Shoulder length curly brown hair, caramel eyes, and a TALL, fit body.
He was clearly flustered as your eyes met. His face had a gentle dusting of pink across it and his eyes could barely meet yours. “I really am sorry, I wasn’t paying attention- uh- here!” He began to shrug off his cardigan. “This should be able to cover up most of the stains.” He thrust the sweater towards you.
Now it was your turn to be flustered. “Oh no, really, I can figure something out-”
“You said this meeting is supposed to change your life right?” He interrupted before you could stutter out anymore excuses. You nodded. “While I don’t want to be the person that ruins your life. Just wear it to your meeting and uh, how about we meet back here tomorrow morning and you can just give it back to me then?” He blushed a deeper crimson, as a big smile grew across your face.
“I would love that, thank you so much.” You put on his cardigan and buttoned it up. He was right, almost all of the stains were covered. “How do I look? Professional?” You asked him.
“Beautiful- I mean yes, professional, you look great!” He smiled, pushing a shoulder length curl behind his ear.
You blushed, but quickly forced yourself to regain your composure. “So I’ll meet you here at 7 tomorrow-” You paused looking at him for his name.
“Dr. Reid, well, Spencer, call me Spencer.”
“Spencer.” You smiled. “I will see you tomorrow then.”
That was the first time you met Spencer Reid.
________________________________________________________________
The next morning, Spencer arrived 30 minutes early to the coffee shop to get a table, he felt fidgety and nervous. He hadn’t even caught your name yesterday before you left and he felt like an idiot. Of course he bumps into the most beautiful girl he has ever seen, spilt coffee all over her, AND forgot to ask her her name. Part of him was worried you wouldn’t even show up, it’s not exactly the best first meeting.
30 minutes later when you walked in, he thanked a God he didn’t even believe in. You looked less bewildered than you did yesterday, but no less beautiful.
You had chosen to go for a business casual look, your hair curled and flowing past your shoulders, a deep red blouse, black denim jeans, and black heeled boots. You had Spencer’s cardigan draped over your arm, you had made sure to wash it before giving back to him.
You searched around the patrons until your eyes met Spencer’s, your whole face lit up as you made your way over to him.
You had no idea that somebody else was watching you as you made your way over to him. You were too distracted by Spencer to feel the angry gaze that burned into your back.
“Hi.” You said shyly as you sat down.
“Hey.” Spencer said smiling at you.
“Were you waiting long?” You asked, a concerned look crossing your face.
“Oh no, not at all, I just came a few minutes early to get us a good seat.” Spencer lied, not wanting you to know how early he actually came.
“Well you choose right, this is the best seat in the house. It’s right by the counter where you pick up coffee, but it’s the perfect window seat to people watch.” You explained.
“Yeah, did you know coffee is actually a fruit?” Spencer asked you. “They’re actually the pit of a berry and grow on a bush.
You let out a giggle, “No, I had no idea that was even a thing. At least I can use that as an excuse when I get chastised for drinking too much. Where did you learn that?”
Spencer blushed. “I tend to pick up random knowledge here and there. Which reminds me, I never got your name yesterday before you ran off.”
“Well Dr. Spencer Reid, my name is (Y/N) (Y/L/N).” You grinned offering him a hand. “No fancy title, but I am doing my best for simply being a Miss.”
Spencer would usually avoid handshakes due to all the germs, however he wanted nothing more than to shake your hand, which was warm and soft.
“(Y/N).” He tested your name out on his tongue. You smiled.
“Have you gotten a coffee yet?” You asked him, getting up to head to order.
“I had one a bit earlier, but I could use another one.” Spencer answered, getting up to follow you.
As you approached the counter you tried to ignore the smug look Ava gave you, praying she wouldn’t say anything. She gave Spencer a not so subtle up and down look, checking him out and obviously finding him attractive. You gave Ava a stern look that told her not to say a word.
She just gave you a wink. Spencer had picked up on all of this, his profiler skills not missing a thing. A small smile crept across his face and he swallowed back a laugh.
You gestured for Spencer to go first, “I’m buying, to thank you for letting me borrow your sweater yesterday.”
Spencer looked at you in bewilderment. “No way! If anything I’m buying for destroying your coffee and spilling it all over your blouse before your ‘life changing’ meeting!”
You rolled your eyes at him. “Spencer, just order the damn coffee. I promise you it won’t break my bank. Especially after I got the design yesterday.” You grinned.
 Ava let out a squeal. “You did not! Oh my god, I knew you could do it girl! All of your hard work paid off!”
Spencer’s face lit up. “Congratulations! I’m glad our collision didn’t ruin anything.”
You let out a laugh. “If anything I think your cardigan brought me good luck, I even got a couple compliments on it. I may just have to keep it.” You teased
Spencer’s heart warmed at the idea of you wearing his clothes. “Well if it brought you that much luck, maybe I’ll just let you keep it.”
A voice behind the two of you cleared their throat. “Are you guys going to order? Some of us have places to be.”
You glanced behind you at the woman, a small line had apparently grown behind you and Spencer.  “Sorry about that. Ava I’ll just do my usual. Do not let Spencer pay.”
Ava raised her hands defensively. “I’m just here to make coffee love.”
“I’ll just do a large coffee with extra cream and a lot of sugar.”  Spencer said.
You went to grab your wallet from your purse, but Spencer cut you off, cash already in hand.
“Spencer.” You whined and Spencer just shrugged.
As you made your way to the counter, you found it a bit strange that James had just left your coffees there. Usually he would at least wait a moment to say hi before taking off to make more orders, but you shrugged it off, they did have a line right now so he probably had to focus on getting the coffees out to customers.
Though the two of you only got to spend about an hour together, the two of you had immediately hit it off, completely unaware of the eyes that had been burning through you as they watched throughout what you and Spencer would later consider your first date.
_______________________________________________________________
From there it was a whirlwind of dates snuck between cases and your design jobs. After a little over a month Spencer had asked to officially call you his girlfriend and you had obviously accepted.
It was ridiculously cliche how quickly the both of you had fallen for each other, but you had just seemed to click right away. You loved Spencer’s logical mind that went on and on with random facts, he loved your creativity and energy. Your minds worked well together, helping each other out when the other got stuck.
As your relationship progressed, you found yourself spending more and more time at each other's apartments.
“Ava, he's just a dream. I’ve never felt like this with anyone ever.” You explained joyfully.
You had sat in your regular window seat, while Ava remained on the  other side of the service counter. It was a bit slow in the shop today, so she had come over to get all the details on “your smokeshow boyfriend.” Since she was the manager of the shop and beloved by her boss, she could get away with it.
“Oh hon, if he has a brother, let me know.” She purred, sneaking a glance over her shoulder to check on James who was holding down the fort for her. The boy stood by the register, poor thing looking a bit bored.
James was a year younger than you and apparently starting grad school, but his shyness made him seem so much younger that you felt this slight protectiveness over him even if you only knew him from around the shop and stories from Ava.
His eyes met yours and you gave him a sympathetic smile. He blushed deeply and turned away, scampering to busy himself.
You looked back at Ava, giving a little nod towards James, “What about James? He seems sweet and he’s cute.” You waggled your eyebrows at her.
Ava snickered. “(Y/N/N), he is sweet, but way too shy, he can barely look me in the eye. I need someone who’s more of a dom if you know what I mean.” She smirked.
You pouted at her. “Poor James.”
Ava shrugged, “He’ll find his someone. Anyway you’re switching the topic, back to your dreamboat. You said he was an FBI agent? That’s heroic and sexy.”
You rolled your eyes at her. “Yes, he’s part of the Behavior Analysis Unit. They create profiles to help solve different criminal cases. It’s actually amazing. Spencer is giving a lecture about it at a college this Friday if you want to come with me.”
“I’ll come, but only if I get to officially meet your sexy doctor superhero boyfriend.” Ava smirked.
“Well obviously.” You smiled.
________________________________________________________________
The boy’s breathing was heavy as he struggled to control his anger. He watched the Doctor’s tall form strutting across the stage, his long brown hair swinging back and forth as he broke down profiling and the criminal cases he and his BAU team had solved.
From where he sat in the lecture hall he could watch the doctor while also keeping an eye on you. You were sitting near the front, your friend by your side.  It was hard to miss her with her deep purple hair, that’s how he always found you. Though to him, you outshined everyone in the room. Even the ridiculous doctor.
He growled to himself as he observed your look of awe. He knew you two had made your relationship official. He knew almost every detail. Like how last weekend, the Doctor had come home early from a case and had surprised you with your favorite flowers: pink dahlias. You had spent the whole rest of the weekend together; you had brought him to your favorite Thai place, then went to both of your favorite bookstores. He knew everything.
He knew where you lived, your schedule, the design projects you were working on. He watched and he listened. He followed you home some days. Other days, he would simply wait outside your apartment building. He knew what window to watch if he wanted to catch a glimpse of you.
The worst days are when the Doctor would be with you. He would watch as you two joked around and kissed, it made him sick.
He didn’t like the Doctor. He hated hearing him ramble on to you. Fact after fact, never shutting up. But he understood him as he had researched him, found his accomplishments; he was a prodigal, graduating high school at the age of 12 and earned three PhDs. He worked for the FBI, catching criminals and profiling them. The Doctor constantly had something to prove, how could you be with a man so weak?
The Doctor was someone who could hardly befriend anyone besides his books, so how had the Doctor gotten you, when he had always been there? The Doctor did not deserve you, the Doctor could not give you what he could. Yet here you were, giving this man a ridiculous moon-eyed look that he did not deserve.
He couldn’t take it anymore. He got up and left.
He made his way down the hall towards an all-too familiar office, one that he practically lived in.
He was greeted by his usual cheery eyed professor, Professor Irving.
Never one to miss anything, Professor Irving raised an eyebrow. “You’re back early, how was the lecture?” Professor Irving asked. “Isn’t that Dr. Reid something else?”
“He’s alright. Someone worth looking into for sure. I left early to get ahead of these reports you wanted me to help grade, I do have a life outside of classes.”
Professor Irving smirked at him. “Son, I have known you too long, the only three places you go are classes, your job, and your apartment. I was hoping this lecture would show you how much the world has to offer, I mean look at Dr. Reid! He was one of the youngest to ever join the BAU-”
“ENOUGH about Dr. Reid!” He growled, interrupting his professor.
Professor Irving just stared at his student, shell-shocked.
The boy shook his head and rubbed his face. “I’m sorry professor, that was uncalled for, I have just been stressed lately.” The boy began picking up the papers he had to grade. He wanted to get through some of these as quick as possible, that way he could spend his weekend with you.
Professor Irving solemnly nodded. “I understand. I know you’ve been stressed lately, is that girl of yours acting up still?”
The boy sighed as he shrugged on his bag full of student’s reports. “Something like that. Listen, I know you said Dr. Reid is going to continue to come back and give lectures every few weeks or so. I will go to those ones and actually stay for them. Who knows? Maybe it will help me with my thesis paper. I just- I just can’t focus tonight, but I will do better. I promise.”
Professor Irving nodded. “Of course, let me know if there is anything I can do to help.”
The boy nodded then left the room.
and when the seasons change (will you stand by me?)
read on ao3 ‱ main masterlist ‱ law school masterlist
summary: when kang sol's mother has to work late, she has to take care of byeol. it's just her luck that she has an exam the next day, one for professor yang of all people. joon hwi, being the kind classmate he is, offers to study with her.
or: byeol is solhwi mastermind, and she's says everything we wanted to say to the two dummies.
request by anon: hiya! saw that you do solhwi prompts so I was thinking that Sol A has to babysit byeol but there's a big test the next day so she calls joon hwi over to help her w studying. meanwhile byeol(being iconic) tries to set them up in true shipper fashion.
a/n: this is based on a request i got on tumblr, pictured above! i have around 5 (ish) fics that will go out over the week so stay tuned for those lmao! uh yeah, i don't really know what else to say other than im really sad law school ended so i've just been sad and mopey, but still writing to fill that hole. as always, enjoy <333
Although Joon Hwi was the 'star' student of Hankuk Law School, he was never much for studying. It's not because everything came to him that easily, but because finding the strength to concentrate and study when he could be hanging out with his friends or doing anything better with his time was insanely tempting. Finding the effort to get to the library, and read up on his textbooks was arduous and he always found it easier to study by himself, no distractions around. This was, of course, until Kang Sol came along. For Joon Hwi, everything in his life was turned on its axis when she came into his life.
When he first met her, in Professor Yang's class, she was just the poor girl being grilled by the professor. His heart went out to her, watching her pull her hair out of the bun to avoid the question. He didn’t know what possessed him to answer for her, but he assumed it to be a one time thing. But from the moment she crashed into him yelling "Second Round Judicial Exam, save me!", he was stuck on her.
Slowly, she was everywhere in his life, from the study group to the legal clinic to a majority of his classes. Unlike so many of his classmates, who were by the book and generally clinical in personality, she was a fireball of energy and passion. In class, despite not being the best student, she would argue with so much passion and energy that it was impossible to win against her. It was fascinating, watching her connect and jump from case to case. She would throw herself into everything she believed in, which included defending him from the school and his uncle.
Joon Hwi has liked girls before, but he's never been so captivated and head-over-heels for anyone in his life. Love and dating seemed secondary, and he preferred to keep it out of his life until he reached his goals. You could call him selfish but he prefers to call it being focused on his goals. He's always had one goal in life, and it was to work with the law, whether as a judge or working as police or as a prosecutor.
Yet, if Kang Sol was in the room, his eyes were on her. Whether she was frustrated at him or teasing him or gleeful with him, he couldn't help but smile at her. If she was around, he was right by her side, making her laugh or cringe or annoyed.
So there he was, studying in the school library with Kang Sol. Professor Yang’s exam was right around the corner and unlike last time, he cannot miss the comma in the given case. Plus, he doesn’t even have the excuse of being accused of a murder this time, so both Sol and Joon Hwi were hunched over their books, pouring into the texts when Kang Sol’s phone blared loudly from her bag, startling them both.
Sol cringed as she dug around in her cloth bag, the classic dirty looks tossed her way by the sleep deprived students as she stood to leave the library and take the call. He buried himself back into the textbook, but the concentration was lost and he was more interested in the call she’d gotten than ins and outs of defamation laws.
Around 10 minutes later, Sol was speeding back to her chair, the phone clutched firmly in her hand. But Joon hwi could see her frustration from a mile away. Her face held that pout, her eyebrows furrowed and grumbling under her breath. It was adorable.
But he was worried, considering it was the day before the exam, Sol couldn’t afford to be distracted from her studies. He wasn’t blind to her struggles in school, but Joon Hwi never considered her lesser than him for not being able to pick up the concepts with speed.
Unlike him, and a majority of his classmates, she had passion and a heart when dealing with clients. He could see it in her mannerisms with clients in the legal clinic, patiently explaining the clause or the issues they might face to the client. She’s sympathetic to the max, always hearing out the client’s grievances before making a judgement on what they had done. She was exactly what the world needed: a sympathetic, patient lawyer that was willing to fight for the client, someone that they can cling to. He and every professor in the school knew it, but it seemed Sol was the only one who never realized how essential she was.
Suddenly, he felt himself getting up to gather his materials with her without a second thought, despite the confused look Sol shot him. He wasn’t sure what exactly possessed him to do it, but he knew that if she wasn’t there, he didn’t want to study at the library either. Grinning at her, he walked out, side by side until they were outside the quiet library. She paused in her tracks all of a sudden, taking him by surprise and he paused too, looking back at her, tilting his head in confusion.
"My mom needs to work late today, so I need to rush home and take care of Byeol," she looked up at him finally, her face apologetic. "I'm sorry, Joon hwi but I don't think I'll be able to study for the exam with you," she started to walk away, but he couldn't let her go that easily.
"I'll come with you," he offered, surprising himself, "I'll study with you. Plus, it'll be easier to take care of Byeol with two people than one, right?"
She paused, looking back at him, conflicted. Sighing, Joon Hwi stepped closer to her. "Come on, let's not keep her waiting. Shall we?" He was determined to keep her company, especially since she’d have less time to study since she’d have to take care of Byeol. It was easier this way, and I’d do this for any friend he told himself.
The ride there was slow and quiet, but not an uncomfortable one. They both walked in tandem, with their backpacks filled with everything they'd possibly need to study, and even the bus ride was peaceful, the two of them staring out the window, watching the scenery pass by them. Joon hwi sat beside her, rather than across from her like last time, just to save space on the bus. On the very empty bus they were riding together.
Days like this, where the air was heavy and humid, the earth preparing for a heavy rain, were the most comforting types of days. The air was still warm and humid, making Sol’s hair poof out slightly, her naturally wavy hair frizzing out of her bun. The feeling of her beside him, as if this was a regular ritual for both of them, brought a sense of content in his heart. He couldn’t pinpoint exactly what it was, whether it was the girl beside him or the past year’s chaos, but watching the trees and the traffic pass by them brought more peace to his life than ever.
The two made their way into the alleyway, where Joon hwi had once stood guard of when Lee Man Ho once lived, threatening her family. He's standing in front of Kang Sol's house behind her, holding her backpack in hand as she struggles with the keys.
Finally, finally, she gets the door open, and a figure zips by, crashing into Sol. Byeol’s arms wrapped Sol's waist, like the adorable sister she is. Sol stumbled back into him slightly at the sudden weight thrown onto her, but nonetheless, crouched to envelop her sister in a bone-crushing hug. Joon hwi couldn’t help but smile at the two sisters, their love for each other enveloping him
"Unnie!" she grinned up at her, "Did you bring him with you?" Her eyes were serious and wide as Sol opened her mouth to answer.
"Byeol-ah!" Joon hwi yelled out from behind Sol, peaking out to see the 8-year old grinning at him, much wider than she did at Sol. Ha!
"Joonhwi-oppa!" the girl squealed out, leaving Sol's grip to run to him. As she ran to him, he picked her up and twirled her in the air, the girl's giggles echoing through the small alleyway as the two greeted each other.
Sol, standing by the door, smiled faintly before calling out, "Come in, before either of you catch a cold!" Both of them filed in, incessantly chattering as if they hadn't seen each other in months, even though it had only been two weeks since Joon hwi had been by to take the two sisters out to the park.
"Oppa! Why did you come with Unnie?" Byeol asked, finally being set down inside the house, looking up at him curiously as Sol
"Ah, we have an exam tomorrow, so I'm here to study with her," Joon hwi replied.
"Good," the girl jumped onto the couch. "Unnie needs a lot of help," the girl quipped back, nodding her head solemnly, making her look a lot older than 8 years.
"Yah Kang Byeol!" Sol exclaimed, indignantly. Joon hwi chuckled at the two as Sol turned to him. "Here, we can work in the dining room," she moved to grab her backpack from him, stepping towards the dining room.
"NO!" Byeol yelled out at the both of them, her hand flying out to stop the two of them, "Unnie, you should work in your room instead! You know I'll be watching TV and obviously, it'd be too loud for you to focus," the girl rushed out, her doe-eyes a bit too wide, her voice a little too innocent. She is definitely plotting something, Joon hwi narrowed his eyes at her but she avoided the look, choosing to jump off the couch and walk towards them instead.
Before either of them could protest, the girl pushed the both of them towards, presumably, Kang Sol's bedroom. Sol awkwardly laughed at him, Joon hwi shooting her an amused look. They awkwardly stood in her room, Joon hwi avoiding her gaze and choosing to look at the walls instead. Her room here looked similar to the one she had back on campus. Her desk was stacked to the max, sticky notes lining the walls with old reminders and little notes of encouragement. It was neat, but brightly colored, which suited Sol so very well.
“Let’s get started shall we?” Sol finally said, clearing her throat, gesturing for him to set down his books. He obliged, sitting at her desk while she chose her bed. They both set up all their materials, the awkward silence shifting into a peaceful one, the two working themselves into a comfortable rhythm.
It had been almost an hour of straight studying, both of them regurgitating criminal codes and case precedents from memory. Joon hwi was sure that by this point that his mind was complete mush, and Sol was starting to wither, her eyes almost glazed over while she started into one of her casefiles. Her hair was a lot puffier than it was when they started. Turns out, Sol had a habit of ruffling her hair with her pencil each time she was confused or working herself too hard, which was often.
“Let’s take a break shall we? I’m going to get a glass of water,” he said, standing up and stretching his arms out, trying to put the two out of their misery. He yawned, the stiffness in his muscles finally noticeable when he stretched out. She nodded back to him, yawning and stretching out in her chair, before she picked up her phone to check some messages.
He walked out of her room and back to the living room, where byeol was still glued to her seat, her eyes on the TV playing some cartoon. Heading over to the dining table, he poured himself a glass of water with the pitcher, before heading back to check on Byeol.
“What’s this show called?” he asked her, taking a sip of the water while watching the show with her.
“Hm?” Byeol turned to him, “Oh, it’s this show about two kids who set out to find a treasure mapped out by their parents,” she explained, gesturing towards him to take a seat beside him. He obliged, opting to sit beside the girl, both their eyes glued to the screen. A few moments passed by, before the little girl turned towards him.
“You know, my sister’s favorite color is dark green. Not like emerald green, but forest green tinted with some dark blue,” Byeol said nonchalantly. Joon Hwi’s eyebrows furrowed, confused as to why the girl is telling this to him. “And, her favorite ice cream is this nutella infused one that you get down the street, closer to the town square. It’s been her favorite since she was little,” she continued, not giving his confusion any heed. The girl rapidly started telling him facts about her dear sister, all the while confusion took over his features.
“Joonhwi-oppa,” she squinted at him, pausing as her face grew serious, “You like my sister, don’t you?” He sputtered, choking and coughing out the water. “I knew it!” she excitedly squealed.
“Byeol, byeol, shh, you can’t let your sister know okay,” he brought a finger to his lips, his eyes alarmed. For an 8 year old, Byeol was surprisingly cunning and observant. She had managed to figure out what he had been struggling with for the past year after just a few short visits. They shared a look of understanding between the two, before the girl turned her attention to the show, leaving Joon Hwi walking back to Sol’s room. The Kang Sisters,  he shook his head, laughing as he thought, what a perfect duo.
bonus
It had been almost 3 hours of studying together before Kang Sol realized that the sun had set outside, and all of a sudden, they were in a rush to clean up. Joon hwi had to leave before the dorms closed entrance and because of their studying, the two of them had their head buried in books since the time they got to her house.
She was glad to have him over though. Despite her hesitation at the school and fears of inconveniencing him, having Joon hwi made the process a lot smoother. With his careful and gentle help, she had a much easier time understanding the concepts and she was eternally grateful, considering Professor Yang’s exams were always some of the toughest.
They were rushing out of the house, his backpack in her hand as he hurriedly put on his shoes and stepped outside the house. But before Joon hwi could turn with a hurried goodbye, she called out to him, her breath suddenly lodged in her throat.
“Thank you,” she quietly told him, the prospect of looking into his eyes as he leaned over her doorstep daunting. “Thank you for helping me, Joon hwi, it was really kind of you,” she beamed at him, trying to convey her gratitude and more in the only way she knew possible.
They both paused, looking at each other as the air got thicker between them, as if a string was drawing him closer to her. She watched as he swallowed slightly, his adam’s apple moving slightly before he let out a soft “You’re welcome,” and a classic smile, before he rushed out, trying to catch his bus.
She sighed, watching him as he rushed off, capturing the bus. Soon, she thought, Soon, I’ll tell him how I feel. She reassured herself, turning around only to find Byeol hiding behind a pillar.
“Byeol? What are you doing, weren’t you watching a show?” she questioned her sister, but Byeol made no response. Suddenly her sister frowned at her, muttering something about how can she possibly be a lawyer and she’s so blind, leaving her in utter confusion at the front steps.
Of Convenience
Chapter 3- Tension
Warnings: Cursing, arguing,
`
`
`
This was the infamous Mary MacDonald? You shook her hand, “I’m Y/n.”
“Oh
 You’re
 Remus’s girlfriend,” She looked a little taken aback.
“Yeah, I am,” You looked at the boy beside you to see his cheeks flushed as he looked anywhere but you.
“It’s a
 Pleasure to meet you.”
“Likewise.”
The tension was thick. And it was awkward.  “I invited her,” You looked over to Marlene smirking at you.
“Oh
” You knew what she was playing at. “That was nice.”
She hummed in response. Apparently it was too awkward for James because he suddenly started laughing. Everyone looked at him and he stopped.
Remus cleared his throat, “So-”
“Have you guys been dating long?” Mary asked you.
“Two months
 Gonna be three on the third of January.”
“Ah
” She took a sip from the mug, “Do you see it lasting?” Sirius started choking.
“Excuse me?”
“That was rude, I’m sorry.”
“Yeah, it was,” You felt Remus tap your hand, you looked at him and he mouthed ‘relax’. You looked incredulous. You scoffed and got up from your seat, “I’ll be back.”
“Where are you going?” Lily asked.
“To get a drink.”
“What can I get ya?” The girl behind the bar asked.
“Can I get a butterbeer?”
She sucked her teeth, “I’m gonna have to see some ID.”
“Can I get water then?”
“Comin’ right up,” She turned her back to you as she got a glass. You watched from the corner of your eye as someone sat down next to you.
“You okay?”
Lily. “Yeah, I’m good.”
“You comin’ back to the table?”
“Yeah,” You sighed. “I’ll be right there,” She placed a hand on your shoulder before leaving. The bartender placed the water in front of you and you thanked her. Two minutes later, the seat next to you was once again occupied, “Lily, I’m coming now.”
“Who’s Lily?”
You looked at the man who took the seat, “Oh, I’m sorry, I thought you were a friend of mine,” Unbeknownst to you, a pair of eyes watched you from the table you previously sat at.
“It’s all good,” He smirked. “I like that jacket on you, you look good.”
“Thanks, it’s my boyfriends,” You got up and turned to head back to the table. His hand grabbed your arm, pulling you back.
“C’mon, stay a little longer. We were just talking.”
“I’m sorry, but I’m not interested,” You swallowed, suddenly feeling hot. “Please let go.”
“Sit down, and we’ll talk.”
You tried yanking your arm back but his grip was strong. “I believe she said to let her go, mate,” You looked up relief to find the eyes of
“James,” You let out a breath.
“What are you her boyfriend?”
James straightened his back, towering over the man who held your arm. “You wanna test your luck?” The man reluctantly let go of your arm and stalked away.
“Thank you,” James swung his arm over your shoulder, tucking you into him.
“No need to thank me, love,” You looked at the table to see Mary in your seat talking to Remus. You had to remind yourself that you were in this ‘relationship’ to get them together. You swallowed your pride and stepped away from James’s embrace.
“Here,” You said, shrugging off Remus’s jacket. “Give this to Remus, will you?”
James looked confused, “Why not give it to him yourself?”
“I just remembered I have, erm,” You thought of an excuse. “Potions homework due tomorrow,” He reluctantly took the jacket.
“Y/n,” He called.
“Yeah?”
“Tomorrow’s Sunday.”
“...Goodnight James,” You feigned a smile. “Tell everyone I’m terribly sorry for leaving early.”
“Wait-”
You left the Three Broomsticks with a heavy heart. When you reached the castle, you heard someone call your name.
“Rem?-”
“Y/n!!”
Tumblr media
“Oh!” You rushed over to help the fallen James. “Are you alright?”
He pushed up his glasses, “Peachy,” You extended your hand and he took it. “Thank you,” You pulled him up.
“Why aren’t you with-”
“I see how you look at Mooney.”
“And how is it I look at him?”
“Like you like him.”
You looked at him, “Well, he is my boyfriend
”
“No, he’s not.”
Your heart pounded against your chest. “What are you talking about?”
“Mooney isn’t your boyfriend.”
“Yes he i-”
“Stop, now you’re just lying to yourself
 Come, follow me
”’
Tumblr media
James took you to the astronomy tower, there was a chill in the air when you reached the top. He sat down on the second to last step and you did the same.
“He told us
”
“When?”
“Maybe, two days ago?” You purse your lips, nodding.
“He makes me look like a fool.”
“Not on purpose,” You gave him a look. “Sorry
 Listen
 Mooney? He’s a good guy. But, he can be the most oblivious bloke there is.”
You rested your head in your hand, “If you’re implying that I fancy Remus, you’re wrong
 I’m just helping a friend with a favor.”
James didn’t respond. Instead, he tapped his shoulder, you took the hint and rested your head against him. You don’t know how long the two of you held that position, but eventually your eyes began to drift shut. The sound of someone walking up the stairs behind you got you to sit up. You don’t know what you expected, but Remus holding Mary’s hand while they giggled like school girls was not one of them.
“Mooney you idiot
”
“What the hell?” You stood up.
“Yeah, what the hell?” Remus looked between you and James.
Tumblr media
“Yikes, your girlfriend is sleeping with your best friend?” Mary glared at you.
You and Remus looked at the girl, simultaneously yelling “Stay out of this!”
“What are you doing here?” You raised your voice.
“What am I doing here? What are you doing here?” He raised his voice in response.
“Apparently sleeping with your best friend,” You laughed out of spite.
“Don’t fuck around with me right now, Y/n,” He pointed at James. “Have you been seeing him behind my back?”
“Listen to what you’re saying right now, Rem.”
“Answer the question!”
“NO! Of course not! The fact that you even think I did-”
“What? Did I hurt your feelings?”
You sucked in a breath, swallowing a sob. You refused to let him see you cry, “Fuck you.”
“Mate, you need to calm down,” James suggested.
“Oh, you’re one to talk, mate.”
“He didn’t do anything, Remus!”
“Oh, you would defend him,” He narrowed his eyes. He spoke in such a condescending tone you almost felt guilty though you did nothing. He made you feel inferior.
“And that means what, exactly?... What does that mean, Remus?? You’re right, I would defend someone that quite literally has nothing to do with this
 You still haven’t answered my question-”
“Which is what?”
“Why are you up here?”
He grabbed Mary’s hand, “What does it look like?”
“I-”
“Why are you getting your feelings hurt??? We’re not actually together-” His hand flew to his mouth as Mary gasped.
“You guys were faking it?” Mary looked at you and laughed, “And you caught feelings??”
“I did not,” You defended yourself. “I got my feelings hurt because you,” You looked at Remus. “Are acting like a complete douche, and you think that by being an asshole makes you look so tough.”
“It makes me look so tough,” He turned away from you.
Tumblr media
“Yeah. But it doesn’t, because you just end up looking like a dick.”
He turned back to you, “You done?... I have a guest.”
You scoffed, tears welling up in your eyes, “You disgust me,” You pushed your way through Remus and Mary. James followed you as you ran down the winding stairs. He called out your name, “Leave me alone, James!”
He decided to leave you be. You ran until your legs burned. You couldn’t go to your dorm, Marlene would just torment you. You thought and thought of somewhere you could go, and then it hit you
 Molly Prewett. She might be with her boyfriend, Arthur Weasley, but she was the only one who could help you right now.
Tumblr media
You knocked on the Gryffindor's dorm door.
“One second!... Arthur stop... Comin’!” Molly opened the door with a smile, that is until she saw you. “Y/n? Dear, what happened?” She grabbed your bare arms, pulling you into the room. “You’re freezing!” She sat you down on what you assumed was her bed. “Arthur, go get some tea.”
“But-” Molly turned to him and gave him a stern look, “Yes, dear
” The both of you watched him leave, and it wasn’t until he fully closed the door did she turn back to you.
“What happened?” She wrapped a blanket around you before getting on her knees and holding your hands in her warm ones. Just thinking about it, you teared up and your blood boiled.
“Remus...Remus Lupin happened,” And so you explained everything to her. From the moment you met in the beginning of the year, to Alaric, to Lupin’s proposition. You didn’t want to cry when you spoke about what happened in the astronomy tower, but you did. She sat beside you on the bed, soothing you as you got everything off of your chest. “I think I liked him. But after tonight?” You sniffled, “I don’t know what to think.”
“You don’t have to think
 Not tonight. Sleep here, okay?” You nodded, your body suddenly feeling weak. “I’ll tell you what you need to hear in the morning
”
“Thank you, Molly,” You laid back and she covered you. You closed your eyes, the last thing you heard was Arthur coming in with the tea.
“Aw, I went down there for nothing.”
Yes, Sir // Ashton Irwin
Tumblr media
This is definitely the fastest turnaround I’ve ever had for a piece of writingÂ đŸ€Ą. Yesterday @spicycal sent me a TikTok of Ashton reacting to being called “sir” and as you can imagine, the inspo machine started turning for a lot of us. Pretty quickly, I jokingly pitched a premise to @pxrxmoore @cashtonasfuck and @feliznavidaddycal that served as a sequel to the fic I had just posted, You Were Digging Plants, I Dug You. The more I thought about it though, the more I liked the idea so I ran with it and here we are. Thank you to @cal-puddies for as always, reassuring me I was on the right track and to the anons who excitedly messaged me in anticipation for it. (And to @rebelwith0utacause for implying my writing was worth losing sleep over.)
Warnings: Boyfriend!Ash, Gardening!Ash, Home Repair!Ash, Dom!Ash (we love a multi-faceted man), references to bondage and cumplay, brief degrading language, sex in a public place, unprotected sex in an established relationship
Let  me  know  what  you  think!
“If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you were proud of what you’ve done,” Ashton accuses you with a smirk.
You drop your jaw in mock offense. “What I’ve done?! Ohhhhh, that’s right, that was my other boyfriend’s dick I was bouncing on that day. I’m sorry, baby, you’re correct. This was entirely my fault,” you offer with pouted lips, opening your arms for a cuddle.
“You were a woman possessed and your frenzied demon sex destroyed my relaxation zone,” he teases, pulling you in to first bite and then kiss your pout.
It had been a week since your spontaneous romp had ended in the untimely demise of Ash’s beloved hammock. He hadn’t let you hear the end of it since it happened and now the two of you were finally back outside, assessing the damage.
“I think I have a fabric patch kit in the garage but the framing is definitely fucked,” he mutters, picking over the pieces. “Gonna need new hooks
 new spreader bar
”
“Been talking about getting one of those anyways,” you joke with a twinkle in your eye.
He gives you a look and shakes his head. “Jesus, already with you?”
You giggle and raise your arms in surrender. “I’m sorry, Ash, I honestly hate that I’m that girl but the manly man ‘lemme get my tools out and work with my hands’ act just does things for me.”
“Are you sure you want to go with me to get the supplies or are you gonna spontaneously combust right when we walk in the hardware store?” He teases, standing behind you and snaking his arms around your waist. “And you’re not that girl, you’re my girl.”
“Nice save,” you comment dryly and wiggle away from him; he chuckles warmly and you both walk back to the house.
While you’re getting ready to go, Ashton gets caught up taking notes on the hammock repair videos he’s found on YouTube so you end up heading out later than either of you intended. The home improvement store isn’t far but it’s LA so there’s still traffic and the car ride has a slightly tense air because of it.
You can tell how irritated he is by the way he’s relentlessly drumming his fingers on the steering wheel as you sit in the standstill traffic. You reach out and take his hand, both to calm him and to stop the noise. He looks at you appreciatively and gestures at the line of cars in front of him with his other hand. “40 minutes to go five fuckin’ miles,” he grumbles. “There’s no way this is getting done today, the sun’s gonna be goin’ down before we even leave the goddamn store.”
You kiss the back of his hand that’s tightly squeezing yours. “I told you, I’ll help you with everything tomorrow,” you remind him reassuringly. “It’s not a big deal, just relax, baby.”
“You know what would help me relax?” He turns to you with a smirk. “If I could go home and lay in a fuckin’ hammock.”
You finally arrive at your destination and enter the store. After his YouTube deep dive, Ash decided he should install wooden posts to hang the hammock on since your sexcapade uprooted the metal stand’s legs straight out of the ground. He heads over to visit the lumber department and you decide to browse through the garden center, thinking that if you pick out some new seeds for him, it might put a smile on his face.
Ash returns to you less than 10 minutes later, looking more agitated than ever. You raise your eyebrows to him as a silent question and he huffs, “They just happened to have sold out of what I need. Gotta order it, won’t be here until next week.”
You give him a sympathetic frown and rub his back. “I’m sorry I broke your oasis center or whatever you called it earlier,” you say, trying to lighten the mood.
He cracks a smile and starts browsing the seed packs in front of you. “I called it my relaxation zone and I’m sure I’ll forgive you someday.”
You two linger in the garden section, pointing out vegetables that could be helpful to have on hand and having a mild disagreement over which flowers would look best growing next to his sunflowers.
“My phone is dying and I need it for my shopping list, baby, can you Google and see if we can plant marigolds right now?” He asks, turning a packet of seeds over in his hands.
You pull your phone out of your back pocket, happy to see that he’s calmed down and is interested in making the most of this trip. You chirp emphatically, “Yes, sir.”
Ashton hears your response and lets out a sharp, raspy exhale that you’ve never quite heard before and he immediately tries to disguise it as a cough. You glance over at him curiously but he appears to be intensely examining the package he’s holding so you move on.
“Depends on what type but these ones you can plant through the summer, so we’re good,” you inform him, pointing to the seeds he’s holding.
“Cool,” he breezes and tosses them into your shopping cart. “What about... basil?”
“Yes, sir,” you say again, fingers adeptly typing. You hear a similar noise come from him, though he deals with it much better this second time. You’re sure this wasn’t coincidental this time and you peer at him over your phone to see his jaw clenching in a way you’re very familiar with. Interesting.
“I’m just seeing ‘warm weather’... maybe just get one pack to try?” You suggest, eyeing him, trying to figure out if what you suspect is going on is really going on.
He shrugs, “Couldn’t hurt.” He flings the packet into the cart and moves down the aisle.
Ashton tosses out a few more things for you to look up and while you’re happy to help, you’re also glad for the opportunity to test the theory you now have. You vary your affirmations to him and as you suspect, “Yes, sir” is the only one that seems to get a reaction out of him.
The garden center is located outside and the afternoon sun is just starting to hit the area you’re shopping in. You notice Ash has begun to sweat and if you weren’t in a mood before, you absolutely are now, so you decide to rile him a bit more.
“That sun is brutal!” You start, dramatically fanning yourself. “You’re lookin’ a little warm too, handsome
 unless there’s another reason why you’d be sweating.”
He looks at you incredulously and you stare back innocently, eyes wide and shining; he stares you down as he briskly takes off his black button down shirt, leaving him in a white tank.
“Are you good or does the sight of any bare flesh in the presence of gardening paraphernalia have you needing to excuse yourself?” He fires back, whipping his shirt into the basket pointedly, glare challenging you to push your luck.
You smile sweetly and answer, “Oh, I’m feeling just fine. But thank you
 sir.”
Mischievous grin on your face, you start to make your way to the end of the aisle, scooting your body between him and the shopping cart. Sure, you could’ve gone around the other side but that wouldn’t have given you the opportunity to graze your ass against his crotch to confirm - yep - he’s losing the battle he’s fighting with his cock and he is definitely harder than he wants to be right now.
As you pass by, his large hand grabs your wrist and wraps around it tightly. “Watch it,” is all he says but the low tone he uses mixed with the feeling of his hot breath on your neck has your head spinning.
You lay off your teasing for a while but if you’re being honest, you both seem to enjoy the charged air lingering between the two of you now. Ashton grabs your waist to move you out of his way so that he can look at a display and his fingers dig into your skin just a little too hard, causing you to gasp sharply. You stop to read a tag on the bottom shelf and just happen to catch his gaze as you lick your lips, on your knees in front of him; you hear him curse under his breath as he turns away, adjusting himself.
The cat and mouse game continues and judging by the hiss you get out of him the third time you “accidentally” bump his crotch, you’ve pushed it as far as you can; you know you’re probably in for a long night when you get home but maybe that’s what he needs to take his mind off of how frustrated he is with this project. Or at least that’s what you tell yourself. It’s also quite fun.
You leave the garden section, cart full of various treasures, and start to head for the checkout. “Wait, baby,” Ashton calls out and you stop. “I wanna get a couple of the things I need for the hammock so when I come back for the wood I can just pop in and out of here.”
He directs you to an area towards the back of the store; you follow him and wheel the cart down an aisle that’s filled with boxes of metal hooks and chains. He sees your eyes taking in the aisle and he makes a face at you. “Whatever obnoxiously horny crack you’re about to make, just do it now so you can help me look for what I need,” he says in faux exasperation, making a “come on” gesture with his hand.
You laugh genuinely, “I don’t have anything to say!” You walk down the aisle and peer into a few of the boxes on the shelves. “I do wonder if we might get a better price on some of these things at one of the other types of stores we frequent,” you say under your breath.
He ignores your remark and starts consulting the notes on his phone. He scans the selection of items and finds the types of hooks he needs, throwing them into your basket. He furrows his brow, unable to find the next thing on his list.
“What are you looking for, babe? Let me help,” you ask, eager to speed things up.
“We need this,” He states, standing next to you to show you a picture of chains on his phone.
You examine the photo and quip suggestively, “Yeah we do.”
He lands a light swat on your ass and you squeak. “Your jokes are gonna seem a lot less funny if you keep it up,” he warns quietly in your ear.
You look around and see that this section of the store is more or less deserted. Feeling emboldened by this discovery, you reach to palm him over his jeans. “Yes, sir,” you nonchalantly reply.
The words have barely left your mouth and his hand is already back around your wrist and dragging you to follow him down the aisle. Your logical mind says you should protest that his shirt, your sweater and all your intended purchases are being left in the cart unattended but the decidedly less rational section of your brain, the part that just told you to grab your boyfriend’s dick in the middle of a home improvement store, kind of wants to see where this goes.
You get your answer seconds later when he pulls you into a bathroom tucked away next to the employee break room; it’s small, only a couple of sinks and stalls, and looks infrequently used. Which is probably for the best because Ash does not appear to have any interest in taking you into a stall, at least not just yet.
He presses you up against the door, kissing you deeply with a bruising intensity. He pulls away and you gasp. “You’ve been acting up all day, sweetheart, you can’t be surprised we’ve ended up here.” His hand, large enough to reach across your entire face, grips your chin and turns you to look at him. “Is this what you’ve been aiming for, is this what you hoped would happen?”
His tone is harsh and his words threatening but his eyes glimmer with mischief, desire and excitement. You’re sure the look in your eyes matches his when you unflinchingly answer with a confident, “Yes. Sir.”
He smiles widely and leans in, kissing, nipping and sucking harshly at your neck. You groan against him, involuntarily, and then quickly wonder how thin this bathroom’s walls are and you start trying to recall if you saw anybody in the break room next door.
Ashton pulls back to admire his work on your neck and sees your concerned expression. His face softens for a minute and he asks you, “You remember your word, baby?”
You flash him a brief tender smile, appreciating how attentive he is, that he would pick up on even your briefest moment of apprehension. You nod enthusiastically and then your smile turns devilish as you think to once again answer, “Yes, sir.”
He hooks his fingers in your waistband and yanks you from the door, spinning you around and then pressing your chest into it. You hold your breath and brace yourself for the spank you’re certain is coming but it never does. You’re not sure if you’re disappointed but the way your core is throbbing hints that you probably are.
Instead of smacking your ass, Ash is rutting up against it, breath heavy against your neck, giving you goosebumps. “Feel this, baby? You knew what you were doing out there, you just couldn’t help yourself, could you? Gave you my cock this morning and you’re still begging for it, aren’t you?”
You bite your lip and wiggle against him, enjoying the feeling of his hard bulge pressing into you. “Yes, sir.”
Before you even realize he’s pulled away, that hard smack you’d been waiting for comes down on your ass and you cry out in surprise.
"That’s for being smart.” He presses his body roughly up against yours again and shoves his hand down your shorts, dragging his fingers through your folds, humming at the wetness he discovers there. “We’re on a fuckin’ shopping trip and you’re this wet for me? Even more desperate than I thought
 and believe me, you were already very desperate in my mind.”
Ashton yanks his hand out of your shorts and pulls you away from the door, unceremoniously pushing you towards the sink counter. “Off,” he commands, gesturing to your bottoms. There’s not a lock on the bathroom door so he drags the metal trash can in front of the door, wedging it somewhat under the handle. “We already know you clearly can’t keep quiet, can’t have anyone barging in here to see who’s demeaning themself in the bathroom,” he taunts. “That’s only for me to see.”
You and Ash used to play like this all the time when you first got together but lately you’d gotten so caught up in your bubble of domestic bliss, it had fallen by the wayside. Things weren’t boring or unadventurous by any means but it’d been a minute since your last risky public romp or use of any degradation. Combining the two, plus the thrill of jumping back in after so long? Heavenly.
You hop up on the counter in your panties, shedding your tank top and spreading your legs, inviting him closer. “Yes, sir,” you tease with a sultry smile. “I’m your slut, no one else’s.”
He walks over and settles between your legs, kissing you hungrily as he unzips his pants and takes his cock out. “That’s right,” he growls. “Love hearing you say that
 In fact, think I want you to see that too.”
He grabs you down off your perch and spins you to face the mirror lining the sink, your hands fly out to brace yourself as he presses you up against the counter, kicking your legs apart. He makes quick work of tugging your panties down your legs and then reaching over to jerk the cups of your bra down. You watch your reflection as he exposes more of your body to himself and now to you; you don’t even process your nakedness, your only thought is of how blown your pupils look.
Ashton lines himself up and pushes his cock inside you and begins thrusting roughly. You were undoubtedly turned on but the stretch is still a lot and you find yourself gasping and white-knuckling the counter at the sensation.
He sees your eyes start to close and he yanks your hair to get your attention. “I said I want you to see what a slut you are,” he breathes, already struggling to control himself. “Want you to see what I see, want you to see what everyone is gonna see if that door stop doesn’t hold up and someone comes in here and finds me giving you what you’ve been needing so badly.”
You whimper quietly at his words, at the thought of being caught. “Yes, sir
 I love seeing how I look with your cock inside me
” You pant, “I already look so fucked out and we’ve barely started
 I just wanted it so much.”
He slaps your ass again and the already loud smack sounds even louder given your setting. “We’re only at this fucking store today because we had to solve a problem created by your greedy little pussy and now that we’re here? You can’t even act right for a couple hours, got me hard looking at fucking flowers, now I’m having to bend you over in a fucking bathroom? How embarrassing,” he rasps at you through gritted teeth.
You love when he’s like this, you feel like you could almost cum from his words alone; you know it’s risking setting him off but you reach down and start rubbing your clit, you can’t help it. Ash immediately notices and laughs darkly. “Aww, baby, that time already? Go ahead and make yourself cum, sugar, the faster that needy pussy gets satisfied, the faster I can get on with my fucking day
 until you’re back to begging me for it when we get home, of course.”
You’re aggressively meeting his thrusts now, throwing yourself back on him with pleasure being your only concern. You’d love to respond to his teasing with some sass of your own, rile him up some more but he’s hitting inside you just right and the only thing you can think to do is moan.
Seconds after you let out a particularly long moan, you notice voices can faintly be heard on the other side of the door, a pair of employees walking through the hallway. You catch Ashton’s gaze in the mirror and you can see the question in his eyes, letting you decide if you want to stop; you surprise yourself with how little you care and you stare at his reflection as you bounce yourself against him and rub your clit faster.
An amused smile paints his face and he whispers, “Starting to think you might want everyone to know what a slut you are for me. Is that what you want, baby?” His fingers dig into your skin as he drives his hips relentlessly into yours.
To keep from crying out, you bite your lip hard enough you’re almost sure you’re breaking the skin. You manage to gasp out, “Yes, sir,” before your orgasm completely takes your breath away.
The combination of you cumming around him and your breathless use of that phrase finally does Ash in and he thrusts into you only a few more times before his cock starts pumping you full of cum. Those voices outside the door are still somewhat present and you watch his reflection as he tries not to make a sound, fascinated by the way his jaw almost seems to be clenching in time with the pulsing of your pussy.
You both stand at the sink, catching your breath for a good minute, reality slowly starting to fade back in. You close your eyes and open them again, giggling once your mind finally starts to process the sight of yourself tits out, bottomless and bent over a bathroom sink in a hardware store.
Ashton smiles at the sound of your laughter and pulls out of you, hurriedly reaching for a handful of paper towels to help you clean up before things get too messy.
You accept his help and wryly ask, “You’re not gonna do the whole ‘no, put your panties back on, want you to feel my cum dripping out of you until we get home’ thing?”
He looks at you with amusement in his eyes and replies, “Gross, babe, we still have to go through checkout and everything. Jesus.”
You snort and pull him into you, kissing him sweetly before you both start the process of making yourselves and the bathroom look like nothing happened.
You manage to exit both the bathroom and the store without anyone catching on; you notice he’s in a much lighter mood and much more affectionate and touchy than he was earlier. You like it.
There’s traffic on the drive home but it doesn’t seem to bother either one of you; you’re excitedly chatting about the purchases you made and trying to decide what to order for dinner.
There’s a lull in the conversation and you can’t fight the urge to comment, “So
 you definitely can’t tease me anymore for getting turned on by home improvement because I’m pretty sure you’re not gonna be able to visit that store without getting just a little bit hard now.”
The giggle Ash lets out fills the car and it’s the best sound you’ve heard all day. “I think whatever sex demon possessed you last week got to me,” he shakes his head in disbelief. “I literally had to stop myself from eating my cum out of you. That’s how far gone I was.”
You playfully jab his side. “I can’t even get you to do that at home and you’re trying to do it in a public bathroom? And we call me the slut in this relationship.”
He laughs again and squeezes your thigh affectionately. “Well
 we have fun, don’t we?”
You place your hand on top of his, turn to him and grin. “Yes, sir.”
Hi! I was wondering if you could do Hawks with a support engineer s/o? Like they make his support items (not that he uses many) and upgrade his costume and he takes that time to flirt and make them flustered and it’s all really cute and fluffy
Ooookay, hear me out! I started this as some cute hcs but I decided I'd rather write a small fic since I somehow felt if would be better and ended up sticking with it in hopes you don't mind. I really hope it's what you wanted and that you like it 💕💞💕
Word count: 1.5k~
Tumblr media
Keigo really didn't pay much attention to his support department; he knew he had one, of course, yet anything that needed to be tested by him would've had to be approved and re-approved by his higher ups, then passed to his side-kicks, and then, with luck it would reach him.
One day everything in his life changed as a request to test a new pair of goggles was placed on his desk by his secretary. His last pair has been smashed in a small battle with what seemed an insignificant villain so this seemed like the perfect time to test new prototypes.
He sighed, getting up from his chair in a stretch, scratching his stubble in wonder. Does he even know where his support department is?
You sighed, checking the tiny locators on your desk through a frown. The past few weeks have been exhausting to say at least.
When you first arrived at Hawks', The Hawks' Hero Agency as a junior support designer life seemed like it was heading into the right direction, yet as you reached your first month mark, the fact that there weren't any other junior designers started to make so much sense. Nobody payed any attention to the newbies, which was infuriating, degrading, unmotivating... but you had to fight through and not quit as the last ones did. It was a competitive business and you almost reached the bottom of the top, why settle there? So as your superior ignored you, you started learning more about your Hero's costume and it surprised you to note that he barely had any supporting items. Hell, even those goggles were... plain? He could do so much more! And as you made plans and started building, you made reports of all the prototypes created and jumped to send them to the higher-ups without even informing your seniors. It never hurts to try, right?
"Ah, finally, I've been running around in this building for-e-ver!" Someone said behind you, startling the living hell out of you which ended up with paperwork thrown everywhere.
You turned in shock already recognizing the voice behind you. Your eyes, wide as plates, landed on the man that you've been studying meticulously for the past few months.
Crimson feathers surrounded you as an amused smirk formed on his features. They started catching and picking up the papers surrounding your figure and gently placing them on the desk.
"Well, hello there~." He said, stepping in your office with curiosity, sharp eyes taking in his surroundings with just a glance then setting back on you.
"Mister Hawks." You cleared your throat and adjustes your apron.
"Mister? How old do you think I am, dove?" He said, shaking his head and laughing.
Ah, great, now I insulted my boss. You dryly thought.
"23, sir." he gasped, putting a hand on his chest.
"Sir?!?" before you could apologize, if there was something to apologize for, he continued in a dramatic way. "How could I allow an angel to call me sir? Please, it's just Hawks." He smiled and you squirmed in place.
You heard he was easy going, a very laid back yet lovely individual, but the way he called you any nickname in the book made your cheeks burn. You avoided his eyes, as they were intensely observing you, and cleared your throat.
"What do I owe the pleasure, sir—" you stopped yourself as he opened his mouth and lifted his finger to, you assumed, scold you "—Hawks...?"
"Oh? You don't know?" He looked around trying to find something, his face lighting up when spotting it. "I came to test a new pair of goggles, of course!"
It's then when you really took in the condition of your office. A disaster. The higher-ups sent Hawks there without even notifying you! You could've cleaned up! And they sent Hawks to test your goggles! THE OFFICE IS A MESS AND THE NUMBER 2 HERO IS IN IT TO TEST YOUR—!
"Oh, my god..." you muttered, not really believing it's really happening. It's the same reaction you had when you landed this job yet now it was turning into reality.
"Sorry to interrupt that train of thought—" he paused. "Excuse me, I don't even know your name. The audacity!"
"Oh! It's [L/N] [Y/N], sir."
"Hawks." His smile, which was heartwarming, never left his face.
"Hawks." You repeated, heart hammering in your chest even when being playfully scolded by your boss.
"So! What's a beautiful little feather like you doing in a place like this?" He inquired, obviously way too into the moment. Keigo could feel your beating heart from where he was standing and could clearly read your amazed expression. He guessed you were new in the department and gave himself a lecture about not coming here beforehand. With a sight like you he would've been in the support department every single day.
At the same time as he was taking you in, you needed to do something to keep yourself busy from his face, his voice and his words, so you turned around and started cleaning up a little bit. He called me a beautiful little what now? you panicked, dreading you'd bite your tongue or something when answering back.
"I work here." Nice one, [Y/N]. you cringed in place. But instantly deducted it would be better to maintain a professional environment instead of leading on what seemed to be just a flirty attitude.
"I can see that, yes." Keigo really tried to keep himself from chuckling. How could such an adorable being exist in his close proximity and he didn't notice? In any way, the blond felt bad for making you nervous so he deflected the situation. "About those goggles then!"
"Oh, yes!" You turned towards him with a smile, the excited sparkle in your eyes taking his breath away for a second. "First of all, I'm sorry about the mess, I wasn't informed you were coming—"
"Oh, we can change that from now on." He chimed in, earning a pause and a tilted head in confusion from you. "If you give me your number I could tell you whenever I'm coming! Easy!"
Have you ever had a moment where your brain stopped functioning for a whole minute? Exactly that happened.
"You could— ehem, you could tell your secretary to inform me before you arrive." You sheepishly said, still trying to deflect in the best way you could. He had such an ease to make you embarrassed, apart from the fact that you didn't know for sure if he was playing with you or not. Remain professional. Not like you could be as smooth as him anyway...
"Aww." He pouted.
"The goggles!" You jumped, trying to distract yourself from that sight.
As you settled them in front of him and started explaining every new detail about them, such as the new auto face-recognition they had implemented, voice command, personalized A.I. and more, he could only watch you in wonder. A few moments ago you were overwhelmed and flustered at his behaviour, which he wouldn't lie, he really enjoyed to see, but this confident person talking so passionately about their work made him beam. He took in your features, the complex words you threw at him settling in the backround of his mind as he noted he'd have to ask you what they meant just to have the excuse to get to hear you talk again and again. He didn't know why he loved the way you wrinkled your nose when you told him how hard it was to get access to the national database, he definitely didn't know why he savored the way your giggle made his good ol' heart skip a beat, he absolutely had zero idea why he was entranced by the way your lips curved in a smile...
Oh, he knew. Of course he knew.
"Could you add Spotify?" He found himself asking.
"... What?" You blinked stupidly at him.
"Or Netflix. Can you add Netflix?"
"I— What?" He snickered.
"Can you?"
"I mean, yes—" Did he brush off your whole work just to ask you to add Netflix?
"Great! Can you do it by tomorrow?"
"Y-yeah?"
"Awesome! How do you like your coffee?"
"Uhm, why?" You muttered.
"Because I will drop by and I'd like to treat you with coffee."
"Oh, that's nice. Thank you, it's—" you told him your favorite coffee in wonder as you watched him play with the goggles casually. Is this Hawks? A flirty airhead?
The goggles sounded absolutely amazing, no doubt of that, but he definitely needed an excuse to come by tomorrow, also giving him time to come with other excuses to return again and again after that. Something told him he had to see your beautiful face again and he was the type of man to trust his instincts.
"Okay, noted." He nodded to himself. "I'm sorry to say it's my time to patrol but at least I found a loop-hole to keep seeing you!"
How could one single man make you short-circuit twice in such little time span? Your absolutely baffled expression was worth a million bucks in Keigo's opinion and the adorable little lip pursing that followed was the cherry on top.
Yet what he didn't expect was for you to grin through your flustered expression.
"I'll add some actually good pick-up lines as a widget in the corner too, then." You shrugged.
And seeing Hawks baffled? Nothing else topped that.
