my time has come (<- i really like the side characters)

because i don't own the fanbooks, and cannot find scans of them anywhere, this is all from memory or stuff written on the wiki or tvtropes. also characters who debuted physically in the last year (e.g Asahi, Mafuyu's mother, Arisa) won't have fanbook profiles yet, so i can only tell you what's mentioned in the story

so yeah some random trivia (a lot about favorite foods because all the side characters have that listed)

Leo/need

Iori and Mio are both 19 years old (currently)

Iori's favorite food is choco-banana crepes and she dislikes spicy food

Mio likes super spicy tantanmen ramen but dislikes fresh cream. She also collects teddy bears

neither Iori or Mio were ever given family names. This might mean that the names used in the story are stage names.

Youta is the same age as Leo/need (16). His younger sister Hanano is 14.

Saku is currently 16, the same age as the Leo/need members, and her family name is Kousaka

She's the singer and composer of her band, Anenome. They debuted professionally a few weeks prior to the Get Over It. event

When Shindou was younger, he was a bassist in a band with some school friends. He and the singer/guitarist were more skilled than the others, and were scouted for a different band. Shindou didn't want to quit because he wanted to be in a band with his friends, but the singer/guitarist quit and accepted the offer because his music would have more spread. In the end Shindou's band had to disband, and he doesn't know what happened to the guy that left.

Mai's favorite food is eclairs and she dislikes liver. She is also 15 years old currently

Yuina was the first side character to be shown with more than one outfit. Her live2D has a different outfit to the one in Minori's For "Your" Sake card

Yuina's hobby is handicraft, and she also plays basketball

Yuina's favorite food is potato croquette and she dislikes bok choy

Airi and Nanamin did a collab performance when they were both idols. They are the same age.

Nanamin has now retired as an idol and is currently a streamer with over 800 thousand subscribers. She likes fruit tarts and dislikes wasabi.

Riho is a high school first year (16) and is active as a song producer on the in-universe version of youtube

Riho's favorite food is pudding and she doesn't like hard and crumbly bread

Ayaka is 20 years old and attends college. She’s a big fan of Shizuku. She likes pork cutlets and doesn't like oysters.

Vivid BAD SQUAD

Ken likes meat dishes and dislikes umeboshi

He says he fell in love with his wife, Yuka, at first sight. They met in college and they've been married for over 20 years.

We don't know how old Yuka is but Ken is 43

Ken was a really good student and had good grades in both academics and sports. He also attended and graduated college.

Ken is very aware of An's feelings towards Kohane and is supportive of her. Go Ken-san

He was RADder's designated driver back in the day

Taiga dropped out of high school

Taiga likes whiskey but dislikes tsubuan

He is referref to as “partner” in the game data

Ken and Taiga have known each other since middle school. He thought Ken being an academic was boring and decided to get him into street music

Nagi had anemia. It's implied this is part of the reason she didn't realise she had cancer until it was too late, because she thought she felt bad because her anemia was playing up

Nagi's least favorite food was tomato, just like An. She liked coffee as well.

Arata's favorite foods are omelet rice and chocolate parfait, and his least favorite food is natto.

As pointed out by Taiga, Arata is one of the most talented performers on Vivid Street. Taiga seems to see himself in Arata, and relates to the feeling of losing a partner and can identify Arata’s weaknesses based on this

I’m not entirely sure if this is true, but based on observation Souma’s Live2D model has restricted movement. He doesn't lift his arms in any of his animations, only does small movements with them and his legs hardly move if at all. I'm assuming this is to convey that he was partially paralysed in the traffic accident

Both Souma and Arata are currently 19

Also their duo act nane was Gurney Flaps. Souma was the one who came up with that.

Souma and Arata were friends for an unknown amount of time before Rad Weekend. They may have been doing street music before the event I can't remember if this is ever mentioned.

Souma was involved in a traffic accident not long after he and Arata decided to surpass RW. He mentions that the accident was before Weekend Garage opened, and it's been open for a couple years at this point, because Ken decided to buy and open the cafe not long after the event.

Also they get a shoutout on KAITO’s costume from the Walk on and on event

Also I literally just learnt that the EN server localises Souma's name as Soma.

Even though he looks pretty old, Harumichi Aoyagi is only 53

Inferred based on his house, but he’s really rich as well. I think the Aoyagis might live in a penthouse, if you look at the window of their living room you can see the tops of trees.

Kotaro is called “cord nukio” in the game data, referring to him disconnecting the sound system during Vivids’ debut

He has a younger brother, and the reason he got into singing is because he wanted to be a cool big brother. He saw RW around the time his brother was born and the rest is history

Kotaro is 17, and presumably a high school second year (since first year side characters are 16). I’m guessing her doesn’t attend kamikou otherwise that probably would’ve been mentioned by now

His favorite food is strawberries. Ironically, he doesn’t like strawberry-flavored things.

Tatsuya is 22, making him the oldest NPC who isn’t a parent or mentor

He got into singing after being inspired by a senior in high school

According to Rui in Full Power! Wonder Halloween!, Kigurumi-san's hiding spot is a bush near the wonder stage. It is heavily implied that he is Emu's bodyguard.

Usa-chan (the bunny plushie) is the only NPC to have ever appeared in an area conversation

Usa-chan's name was picked by Saki. Tsukasa wanted to give her a weird name, but we don't know what this was.

Sakurako has been a fan of PXL since she was a kid, and getting to perform there has always been a dream of hers. Also she’s 17 (the same age as Rui and Tsukasa)

Sakurako is called “diva” in the game data

Her favorite food is roll cake and she dislikes konjac.

The Little Mermaid was Yuuka Kazamatsuri’s first ever leading role. She’s 31 now, so she was 21 at the time.

Yuuka's favorite food is deepfried horse mackerel. Her least favorite food is fish and chips, because she thought it would be horse mackerel. It was not.

Rakunosuke (Emu's grandpa)'s favorite food was taiyaki, the same as Emu. He disliked surströmming.

Rakunosuke died when he was 99 years old. Considering that Emu’s father is currently 55, that means he didn’t have kids until he was in his 40s (unless Emu has older aunts/uncles that aren’t mentioned).

Kounosuke's favorite food is candy apples and he doesn't like sugary candies

Keisuke and Shousuke are referred to as Little Keisuke and Little Shousuke in flashbacks to Emu’s childhood, even if they are probably university-aged in these flashbacks. I just think this is funny

Keisuke is 30. He likes dried horse mackerel and dislikes chocolate.

Emu mentions that one time when her family went on a beach holiday Keisuke took an encyclopedia about sea life with him. Maybe he has an interest in that?

Shousuke is 3 years younger than Keisuke. He likes corndogs and dislikes green peppers.

Hinata is 20 and is currently in college. Her favorite food is peaches. Like Emu, she doesn't have a least favorite food.

If it wasn't obvious at this point the Otoris all like theme park food. Except for Keisuke.

Jean Riley is the in-universe equivalent to Walt Disney. He's also still alive and only 54 years old.

25-ji, Nightcord de.

Mrs Asahina doesn’t appear physically until someone other than Mafuyu interacts with her (that being Kanade at the end of Immiscible Discord)

Also she frequently employs actual manipulation techniques - she is in complete control of her meeting with Kanade, she rarely disagrees with anyone and instead gives them suggestions (i.e “but wouldn’t X be better for you?” over “no i think you should do X”), and playing victim. Wonder how she learnt those.

Honestly we really don’t know that much about her

Mafuyu’s dad doesn’t show up that much but he can be seen in some family photos in the Asahina living room

Shin’ei Shinonome’s hobby is camping with his family

He has the same liked and disliked food as his children

Also he’s 48 years old

None of the photos in the Shinonome living room actually look like the family so god knows what Mrs Shinonome looks like

Mrs Shinonome puts carrots in the dinners she cooks to encourage her kids to try the things they don’t like

Futaba is 17 years old. Her favorite food is pancakes from a local shop, and she doesn’t like salty food

Mizuki’s sister studies fashion abroad. She gifted Mizuki one of her mannequins before she left, which can be seen in Mizuki’s room

Kanade’s mother died when she was 30 years old. Her favorite food was deepfried tofu, and she didn’t like goya.

Kanade’s mother liked gardening. She was fond of carnations and used to keep them around the house, which is why Kanade has a strong attachment to those flowers.

Kanade's dad is currently 46. We don't know how old Kanade was when her mother died but it still works out that he's a few years older than his wife.

Bonus: As the self-proclaimed #1 slash only Asahi fan here's my obligatory Asahi loredump

Sakurako and Asahi are friends, though they have never interacted on-screen

Asahi's not-Disneyland theme park actor career somehow managed to spin-off into him appearing in TV and film roles. It's also mentioned that he's worked at ArcLand for a long time

Asahi is a huge fan of WxS, and is very familiar with their work before he meets them. It's implied he became a fan through the show they perform in Wonder Magical Showtime!. His favorite character in that show was Tsukasa's character, Miles. Like, he really likes that character.

It’s implied that he likes Tsukasa. I have made two posts about this. I think this is a lot funnier than it actually is.

We don't have a confirmed age for him yet, but considering that he's friends with Sakurako and the way he interacts with Rui and Tsukasa, he's probably around the same age as those three (17). How young was he when he started working at ArcLand in that case?

Assuming he’s high school-aged, I think he straight up dropped out of school (high school is not compulsory in Japan). When he recruits Rui he says that since he’s good, they can get him up to a full-time job before the age of 18, and Rui realises this would require him to pull out of school. The way Asahi talks about this seems to imply that he already did this.

He keeps a notebook in his pocket when he practises. He notes down useful things about the performances he does and also notes about the people he performs with. He also people-watches because it helps him make characters act more like real people.

He's a huge fan of the director Tom Grey, one of Rui's major influences, and claims to have watched all of his works 100 times. Grey is the person who inspired Asahi to become an actor. The shared interest is a large part of why Asahi invites Rui to be the ArcLand director

Asahi grew up abroad because of his parents' work, but the country he lived in ended up getting involved in a war. The area he lived in was attacked and his family had to evacuate, but he got separated from his parents when they were running away. He didn't speak the country's language very well since he was very young, and couldn't communicate with the people at the evacuation centre to locate his family. Tom Grey happened to be volunteering there, since he lived in the neighbouring country, and met Asahi and helped cheer him up and find his parents.

He’ll be back. That'll be a fun event.

I Need A Favour

Finn was in a good mood today.

To other students, he appeared the same as ever. Quiet, stoic and stand-offish. But Azul wasn't just another student, he knew Finn well.

There was a spring to his step, a light in his eyes, and an aura of happiness around him.

Even without these little telltale signs, Finn walking up to Azul that morning and kissing him on the nose with a smile was telling enough of his attitude.

"Let that brilliant mind of yours wake up a bit before you work on contracts." He had said, sliding Azul's work away from him.

Yes, Finn was in a good mood. A happy Finn. A happy Finn was a good thing, especially when Azul wanted a specific favour from him. Contract related favours to be precise.

Finn, while happy to relay useful personal information he had gathered, preferred to stay uninvolved in contract matters, and that included chasing down contractees.

Convincing him to get involved in any way, shape or form was a Herculean task of its own, but not impossible.

Most of the time, the mere suggestion of such a thing was met with a firm "no", and it was made clear to stop asking before he got irritated.

However, when he was in a good mood like this, things changed. His partners had access to a Finn much more likely to consider doing favours.

...With a price of course, but Finn's prices weren't too sleep. Most of the time.

Azul's mind busied itself with thoughts of what to offer Finn during his classes, excited by the notion of having his assistance in dealing with the prefect.

The twins were quick to catch wind of this and were greatly excited at the idea of Finn joining them at the Museum.

"It will be entertaining to watch Finn make their heads spin." Jade said, eyes crinkling as he smiled.

"Heh, the minnows will be squirming tryin' to figure out what's going on." Floyd added, grinning in delight.

Why neither of them decided to help convince Finn to join despite their enthusiasm was a mystery.

No matter. Azul has the entire day to think and plan. He was sure he would get what he wanted in the end.

When the school day came to an end, Mostro Lounge was far busier than Azul bad anticipated. He was delighted of course, and he had numerous anenomes at his disposal to carry the workload and keep the customers happy, but this unfortunately meant his discussion with Finn would have to wait.

Azul shrugged off his disappointment and buried himself in his work, bent over his desk in rigid concentration.

The hours ticked by one by one, the sunny afternoon slowly shifting into a cool evening.

It was about 7:30 when the door to the VIP room opened and Azul lifted his head to find Finn slipping inside.

"Getting too much?" Azul asked softly, watching Finn take off his headphones and rub at his temples.

"Yeah," Finn set his headphones on the small table between the couches and made his way to Azul. "The twins are covering for me. It's..." He sucked in a breath. "It's loud. And bright."

"Good thing we have my anenomes then." Azul said with a grin fill of teeth. "Hundreds of unfortunate souls that couldn't pay the price at my disposal."

Finn nodded his head, a brief look of relief crossing his face. "Raked across the coals for sure."

There was silence for a short moment before Azul spoke again.

"Speaking of contracts, I have a favour to ask of you, if you would be so inclined."

Finn paused and looked at him, tilting his head to the side curiously. He stood there, silent and unmoving, for a while. Thinking.

"What sort of favour, exactly?" He finally questioned, setting his hands on the desk and leaning forward.

Azul turned his head to look at him with an unreadable expression.

"I tasked the prefect with retrieving the class photo we took at the Atlantica Memorial Museum. From a few years ago, remember? It's the last piece of evidence of my former self." A venomous, loath-filled tone filtered into his voice.

"I need you to help the twins take it from the prefect after they've retrieved it. After that, of course, I will destroy it once you've handed it to me."

Azul sent Finn another wide grin, clearly pleased with himself, androom fell into a pregnant silence.

A sad, almost hurt, expression briefly flashed across Finn's face and he sighed.

"I... I see." He murmured, biting back the urge to protest. He knew better than to start another argument about this. Instead, he moved around the side of the desk and leaned in close so their faces were inches apart.

"If you want me to undertake alive an important task, you know you'll have to give me something in return." Finn murmured, grinning at the octopus with hundreds of tiny needle-like teeth.

He gently pushed Azul against the back of his chair and moved to straddle him.

"What will it be, Mister Ashengrotto?" He asked, putting his hands on his chest and kissing his cheek.

Azul reached up to thread his finger's through Finn's hair and placed his free hand on his plush thigh.

"Well," He began, sky blue eyes gazing into crystal purple. "There's going to be display of the world's most famous artists in town's art gallery in a few days. I'm quite certain they wanted to attract the wealthier students attending the schools here. I propose I take you to the showing in return for your generous assistance."

Finn made a noise of intrigue and kissed Azul on the nose. "Tempting, but you demand so much of me. I'll have to raise that price a little higher."

"Then what is you desire, darling?" Azul flushed when Finn curled his fingers around his bowtie and leaned in even closer to bump their noses together, stumbling on his words. "M-My benevolence knows few limits."

Finn chuckled at that. "Those are dangerous words, my love. Luckily for you, I only have a few demands." He cupped Azul's cheeks with his hands and squished them slightly, smiling. "On top of your offer I will add that you take me to the cafe I've been wanting to go to, as well as that forest date you've been putting off for three months. I need new art equipment, and not the cheap things, proper equipment. Ah, and please do exempt me from assemblies for the rest of the year, they hurt my ears. Hmm what else... oh! Let's have a day in bed, hmm? I think we deserve the break. We can have some fun~"

Azul's cheeks pinkened further at Finn's words. Before he could even form a response, Finn's lips pressed against his own.

"I'd say I'm being generous here." Finn whispered after pulling away. "I'm sure your endless benevolence allows some quality time with your boyfriend."

Azul's entire face was bright pink now. He huffed, flustered. "How kind of you. I must say I'm relieved you aren't draining my wallet this time."

Internally, Azul wondered if he had been unintentionally neglecting his time with Finn if that was all the small shark demanded from him.

'Or maybe,' A small voice in his head whispered. 'He wants an excuse to terrorise Trappola again and therefore doesn't need much in return.'

That definitely made sense. Was it true, though? He was unsure.

Azul was pulled from his thoughts when Finn placed his left hand on the back of his head and used right to grab Azul's own hand in a tight grip.

"Don't tempt me," Finn warned playfully. "I may just take advantage of the surplus of customers tonight."

"I better be quiet, then." Azul replied with a laugh. "So we have a deal, then?"

"As you always say, it's a deal." Finn confirmed. Neither dared mention making a contract for this agreement. "I'll help distract the prefect and their little friends."

He leaned back and opened his mouth impossibly wide, smirking when Azul recoiled at the sudden sound of the prefect's voice.

"I'll be handing Ramshackle dorm to you on a silver platter."

"Sea Witch," Azul breathed. "Warn me before you do that."

"Mm, that's no fun." Finn said with a pout, his voice returning to normal. "I enjoy your shocked face."

Azul rolled his eyes and pulled Finn down by the bowtie to kiss him, unbothered by the shark's lack of remorse, smiling against his lips.

When they parted Azul tightened his grip on Finn's hand and stroked his cheek.

"I look forward to our time together." He murmured.

"So do I." Finn replied, delighted.

They kissed once more.

I am back for my weird WOF headcanons

I feel like it’s weird that Tui has never clarified how exactly Amunism gets passed around. Like it seems like no matter what as long as one of your parents had amunism in their family but at the same time you would think there would be more amuni in the world then like, the four that showed up for Darkstalkers family meeting if the gene has been being passed around by Sea and Nightwings for the past two thousand years and it doesn’t seem like that rare of an occurrence where the gene is present (there is literally a three generation chain between Diamond, Arctic, and Darkstalker). Also I believe Tui confirmed Arctic had siblings so why didn’t they just have kids if the royal family was so desperate for more amuni.

My basic idea of it is that amunism is expressed by a gene that, while typically “dominant” (don’t quote me on this, I am not a genealogy expert) in that it will get passed down, there is a chance that it can be “bred out”. It’s probably like a 2/3 chance that the gene is passed in the first place, and then like a 10% chance out of that 2/3rds that the dragon will actually be an amunis. There can be a spectrum where a group of full siblings can have an amunis, someone who is not amunis themselves but could pass it down to their kids, and then someone who can’t pass down the gene to their kids at all.

Also this applies only to non-expressive carriers. Amuni are guaranteed to pass down the gene to their kids (e.i, any kids Darkstalker and Clearsight or Fathom and Indigo had with each other would have been guaranteed carriers of the gene).

Side note it’s not depicted here but “artificial amuni” like Anenome or Qibil if he took up Darkie’s deal only have one sparkle in their eyes rather than multiple (in addition to their altered pupil). Also ironically Anenome originally did not carry the amunis gene at birth, but gained it after Turtle’s enchantment. Even after Turtle revoked his enchantment, she kept the ability to pass to amunism to any kids she has.

Otherwise it’s An Angel With Demons Wings. I wrote that to get back into writing after a tough time and put a lot of pressure to get it perfect for my wonderful friend @tylindel whom I love. I did a lot of dancing research and made art to go with it.

I got overexcited and wrote all but one line of the second chapter. Of course this fic has ended early despite all the ideas left over as authors split so it remains forever unfinished.

Jee is on the borderline, in the sense that I think people often write him as a father figure for Zuko in fics. It's a pretty logical extrapolation from him learning Zuko's backstory in canon, but it's not actually canon so I don't think he'd qualify. I'm also not sure he meets the two-episode criteria - he was probably in the background but I only really remember him in "The Storm".

I also definitely remember someone mentioning Chit Sang but they seem to have deleted their tag. Was it because I posted about how not all older men count? I meant it to be kind of jokingly serious, Committing To The Bit, but that's hard to convey online. I'm not actually offended, and lord knows I have no room to judge when it comes to liking minor characters. Plus Chit Sang probably DID co-parent teo & haru & the duke when he and hakoda escaped so it's also a borderline case.

Darkstalker GOOD actually

Wings of Fire is a children's series, and I think that sometimes people leave that out of their analysis of the books.

In my own, I see Darkstalker as being meant to help teach about recognizing abuse.

He's charismatic, funny even! although that is subjective. He has good and very understandable reasons for his actions, even if they were undeniably bad. He, as all people are, is capable of change and deserves such a chance.

But he is still the villain. He is still bad. That's the point.

"But he gets redeemed!"

He died, he literally died. They turned him into a child with no memories or anything. They quite literally ask him if he wants a chance at redemption and he says that they are stupid and eats a magically poisoned strawberry.

"But he's gross/does bad things!"

He's the villain. That's the point.

Before he gets let out of the mountain he has almost in-arguably done less harm then Peril, but Peril is a protagonist and He is not. Because Peril is actually trying to be better and he isn't.

The point of the entire arc is that everyone wants to do good, but still do bad. The point is that people doing horrible things doesn't change that.

The point is knowing how to enact that belief without making yourself vulnerable to abuse, which is a really important lesson I think.

"He genocides the icewings and that blurs the point by being too evil,"

Genocide is pretty dark, but Wings of Fire is a dark series. And I think doing it by magical the icewings just start dying disease is the least dark way of doing that.

But I think this actually adds to the point! Really, REALLY, evil people may still be nice inter personally. They may be your friends, they may be funny or easy to talk to and that doesn't make them less evil!

Teaching kids to recognize that is important.

Peril and Turtle and Anenome and Moonwatcher aren't evil because they have more power then those around them, they would only be evil if they took advantage of those around them using those powers.

But also they take away the power from Peacemaker, which is weird.

Enchanting dragons without their knowledge is one of the things that makes Moon finally admit that Darkstalker will not change and is only using her patience to get away with more harm,

It's probably meant to be like, his own magic being what destroys him.

But it comes off like they suddenly are fine with doing something that up until then was always bad. Maybe having one last convo with Winter might've helped with that.

Maybe a whole Kinkajou book might've helped with that????

But oh well

Darkstalker is my favorite villain from the series. He's funny, his death scene is such a banger, and his themes are really close to me. I like him, he's good actually.

QotD 5: Does your character prefer sweet, salty, sour, spicy, or neutral tastes?

Craig's spice tolerance is all but nonexistent. That said, if someone makes him spicy food, he'll still eat it. Even if he's dying on the inside, he'd rather suffer than risk being impolite. Apart from that, his flavor preference does vary a bit depending on his mood. He actually has quite the affinity for sour candies, with his favorite being lemon sherbet drops. But he also enjoys salty/sweet combos, like salted caramel or chocolate covered pretzels. He like sweets too, but tends to gravitate more towards fruity flavors as opposed to straight up sugar. He loves candied fruits as a result.

Althea: Althea loves all sweets, sours, and spicies. Citrus is her favorite flavor, so that sour and sweet comes into play here. Her very first thread in the server was a spicy crisp challenge! She'd happily replicate that, as much as it got her in trouble with the professors. She was raised by world traveler parents who consistently introduced her to foods from all sorts of cultures, so I imagine her biggest issue would be with food that, well, lacked flavor. So much for enjoying the food at Hogwarts then, hahaha.

Samuel: He's definitely a fan of salty flavors. His first pick for snacks would be crisps, or fries. His palate is not as developed, given he'd been raised on a rural farm, but I can't imagine he'd be a picky eater at all. He's just yet to be introduced to more options.

Anemone: likes them all except sour things. Salt and sweet are nice and comforting, while spicy is fun and exciting. She's surprisingly good at handling spices too (see: Althea's crisp challenge).

Ominis: He has a sweet-tooth. He does like salty stuff too and can handle some sourness but prefers milder tasting things, and really isn't a fan of spicy things. He's got a good palate and doesn't like destroying his taste buds with very hot items.

Weasley: definitely into sweets, but can handle it all and will try anything once- she is a Gryffindor after all.

Aodh: Generally, like many kids of his age, he still has quite the sweet tooth, but cannot handle sour foods, at all. His face would scrunch up into something nearly unrecognizable. Everything else he feels pretty neutral about, and just likes good food.

Bjorn: Generally aimed toward savory flavors and salty snacks, Bjorn has an aversion to both sickingly sweet foods and spicy ones. (looking at you Anenome and Althea.)

⚙ Saw: How judgemental is your f/o of other people? What sorts of things do they believe are right and wrong morally? That old man is one of the most judgmental people I've ever met and tbh I love him for it. He and I have very different beliefs in terms of which judgements are fair to make and/or acceptable to voice, but I love how he has an opinion on everything and everyone. He never hesitates to share it (with me) either. He's so dramatic sometimes and I love it, gods, I just love him. I guess this is the mood I'm in tonight lmfao, deep love for 💫.

Prefacing my description of 💫's moral beliefs, once I looked up the words "lawful evil" and one of the image results was a picture of him. If you wonder what he thinks is morally permissible, just... think lawful evil. Tyranny. Authoritarianism. All that. Some of the things that he thinks are morally wrong include insubordination, treason, disrespect to one's superiors, committing any crimes (unless he agrees with the specific instance,) cheating on a partner, cheating on testing, and not striving to better oneself.

🕷 The Collector: Does your f/o have any "weird" hobbies or quirks? What draws them to that hobby? Putting aside the hobbies or quirks relating to his deep love of being a workaholic tyrant (/affectionate but true,)... he's kind of normal. Oh this is an interesting one!

✏️: How canon compliant are you with them? Do you stick pretty close or just have fun cause it’s your ship so no one can tell you what to do otherwise?

I'd say I'm pretty canon compliant with a few creative liberties. I think sticking close is fun because of how fascinating Azul's personality is. One could say that his more affectionate side is ooc, but I think he is like that behind closed doors.

🕊️: Give just a general domestic tidbit for em (things they like about each other, routines, habits, and just overall sweet stuff)

I love this sort of thing so this is gonna be long

•Azul stays in Mostro Lounge after it's closed to finish work, and Finn takes the opportunity to sit on his lap in the VIP room and snuggle lmao. Azul only allows this after closing, though during open hours, Finn is allowed to just chill in the VIP room if he's too overstimulated.

•Finn loves it when Azul gets all Azul-y. That scene where he's telling the anenomes he's their master? Those panels in the manga where he's grinning like a maniac? Someone hold Finn steady because our shark be swooning

•They do each other's makeup and like to cook for each other! (This technically applies to the whole octoquartet, but anyways).

•Under the excuse of "to boost the lounge's sales," Azul accompanies Finn to little cafes in the town so Finn can try all the food there, for "research." Really, it just makes him happy to see how delighted Finn gets when he eats either regular or new foods. They usually go to an art gallery after that, and Azul is perfectly happy to listen to Finn ramble about each piece.

•They sometimes duel each other for both practice and for fun (it's actually quite incredible to watch)

•Sometimes Finn goes to Azul's room after a nightmare and climbs into bed next to him (he has a key), and in the morning, they wake up tangled with each other.

•Azul, alongside Floyd, tries to help Finn with dancing and it is not working out 😭

well, the tribes dont really have any appearance differences aside from having a longer leash with coloration, but since in the books one of the few animuses we know in depth(anenome) has strange coloring, i assume that might be a trait that an animus can have. also, Sunny was never regarded or thought of as a hybrid despite her very strange appearance, so being a weird looking icewing isnt too notable

as for Tiger’s father, megatron couldnt care less. for all he knows, blitzwing stole her egg and decided to keep it. he knew that Blitzwing had lost her eggs and partner in the war, so he wouldn’t think twice about her desperately wanting to have a dragonet so bad that she steals or partners with any random decepticon icewing that drops by

im also going to say that Tiger doesn’t actually know who her father is. shes never met bumblebee or heard about him outside of what the decepticons say

Hey you know how for the Jade Winglet headshot group photo I mentioned how I had some old Turtle designs kicking around my Procreate? Here they are!

Here’s the first one; created in 2020. I actually didn’t believe it at first; I thought I had made this back in middle school or something but it turned out to be a lot more recent (if two years could be called recent).

Anyways this was part of some wild AU I came up with that I can’t even really piece together because I basically didn’t write anything down. I remember the basic synopsis was Darkstalker “won” for a while but then Winter or some other fucker comes and lets Turtle out of prison and he goes ape shit and finds away to kill Darkie but he decides to go into hiding anyway and he meets a Night/Sandwing named Garter (I still love her she looks like a garter snake) who gives him an amunis enchanted earring that turns him into a female Nightwing and he falls in love with another Seawing named Gannet. The one of the left is supposed to be adult Turtle; little baby man on the right is supposed to be Arc 2 era Turtle.

Also I replaced Kingkajo with some random Rainwing asshole named Pitaya, both Qibil and Anenome are fucking dead, the daughter of Moray is Queen of Seawings (her name is Aquamarine), the grandniece of Morrowseer is Queen of the Skywings (her name is Longspur, Fatespeaker also got shoved onto that family tree somewhere), and Moon has had a kid with some random Silk or Hivewing and his name is Scrollwriter.

Anyway’s that’s about all I can remember coherently.

Here’s something a bit more recent (this was the “gross green” design I was talking about, it is from the start of 2022). He’s still part of a similar, though slightly less cracked AU (Gannet is still there). I still like this design, I just don’t think this works for Turtle.

Anyways this was an interesting late night visitation of memories I probably haven’t thought about in years.

Jane tries to be an optimistic person, and see the best in everyone, but both in show-business and the Fog she is very aware it's a dog eat dog world - years of rejections and being treated like a token to the entertainment industry has made her intuition of when someone is actually genuine or just wants to use her very good. A similar lesson has been learned in the Entity's realm; as much as all the survivors are in it together, she's been left to die too many times to fully believe it. Still, she tries to help whenever she can, both out of her own kindness and the fact that people are more likely to help those they find useful.

Ji-Woon is not the type to dwell on the past unless it benefits him in some way - if asked, his answer to what he could have done differently would be a practiced " I wish I could have done more to save my groupmates, " complete with at least a few crocodile tears. In reality, however, he regrets nothing. The only time he reflects is to figure out how to elicit better screams from his victims and get away with his crimes more smoothly (especially when Yun-Jin starts catching on.) He is thriving in the Fog.

oak - who would your muse consider the strongest person they know?

The expected and obvious answer would be Frank - there has to be a reason he's the de-facto leader of their group, right? The answer is actually Susie, however! Julie cares about all of her friends a lot, but she's especially proud of how unexpectedly the younger girl has embraced the violence of the Fog. the concept of being “overqualified” for a job is a construct of capitalism, because employers want their employees to be dependent on them so they can get away with more shit without losing workers. if you have more qualifications than necessary for the position, especially if you have a lot more, you could very easily get a different, better-paying or higher-quality job if you become unsatisfied with your current one. if you just barely meet the qualifications for your current job, almost any others that you would be able to find would be a downgrade, likely with a lower rank and pay.

this intertwines with the majority of employees getting severely underpaid, so that even in higher positions they might struggle with or be unable to maintain a comfortable lifestyle, which feeds into the culture of competition and the societal pressure to have the ultimate goal and dream of climbing up the metaphorical company ladder, instead of being satisfied and happy on a figuratively lower rung, as most “lower” positions, while absolutely essential, are not paid enough to reflect their necessity, and are treated with very little respect. in this essay I will
