sometimes being chronically ill as a teenager is actually ridiculously funny because my blood tests can show ridiculous numbers regarding antibodies and I can literally have fluid in my joints (arthritis) and doctors will still only tell me to go to physical therapy

First meet with a strangers mannerisms

Sum: Eddie shows up at your window one day. Which is weird considering how you don't really know each other. But as your mom says, you might just meet a new friend today.

You weren’t sure how to feel right now.

But then again, in reality, you never knew quite how to feel.

However you did not even give yourself time to reconsider or even begin to process the stirring in your belly as you walked over to the window, clad in only a towel around your waist and a toothbrush in your mouth, and opened it.

“How long have you been sitting out there?” You asked him.

“Oh, pshh you know..20 minutes?” Eddie had responded.

“Why didn’t you just, I don't know, knock? The window was also unlocked to begin with and-” You continue as you step aside to let a freezing Eddie into the warmth of your bedroom “frankly I don’t think I would care all that much that you were just in my room”

The connotation of what you just said slowly cranked like glue in the gears of your brain as you focused more on closing the window than you did on the words coming out of your mouth.

“You wouldn’t have minded?” Eddie asked and you could only sigh in relief that he hadn’t understood completely what you had said before either.

“I mean, you’re shivering, I live on the second floor and somehow, I don't know how, but somehow you managed to sneak onto the roof and sit outside my window for 20 minutes?” You couldn’t help but to chuckle as you gestured to your bed and Eddie happily sat on your bed and tucked your blanket tight around his body.

You went into your bathroom to spite out the toothpaste that had been collecting in your mouth and came back into your room to get some boxers. As you bent down to pick some out of your drawer your hand hovered, then you stopped completely and turned to Eddie.

“You were out the for 20 minutes?” You asked and received a slightly shivered hum back in response, “Why?”

You frankly hadn’t thought at first to question Eddie, but it was late and he was here…but why? You weren’t exactly friendly like this. Hell, you should probably be freaked out that Eddie the freak Munson is sitting on your bed after waiting outside of your window for 20 minutes. Eddie somehow seemed even more startled at the realization that he had come to your house. The one guy that the school had proclaimed, the odd one out, the one year older than your classmates boy, the could have been popular but wasn’t really into that boy.

“Oh, uhh, now that you say that, I…I don't know.” Eddie mumbled, “I was just thinking and you seemed really cool, and I didn’t really wanna go to any of my other friends hou-”

You seem to have caught him off guard once more with your loud chuckle as you returned to fetching some appropriate underwear to put on. You put them on in some weird contortion sense of putting on underwear underneath your towel, that you hoped wouldn’t fall off. Accidentally mooning your classmate wasn’t exactly on the agenda. Then you turned to get some shorts.

“So you showed up here, at-” you glanced over towards your clock “9:43 pm…because you thought I seemed cool?”

You managed to also slide on the shorts without dropping your towel and turn to Eddie who looks completely like a deer lost in headlights. After staring at each other for what felt like 5 seconds you both just nodded in synchronicity as you left to put your towel back into the bathroom. When you came back Eddie sat in the same spot with your blanket wrapped around him, pondering.

“If you want to lay on my bed, can you take your shoes off first?” You chuckled out and Eddie looked at you as if you were joking about something ridiculous, “I'm serious. I don’t mind you in my bed, but my mom is gonna freak if she sees shoe prints on the sheets.”

Eddie took his shoes off in the same speed it took you to slowly walk over and plop down on the bed. As you looked up at him, at his curiosity? His caution…yeah, his caution of you.

“So…” You paused for a moment to purse your lips and scrunch your eyebrows, the same slow nod as before “What is actually up with you Munson?”

A/N: I haven't written in a while, so if this is a bit messy to start off with, that might be why.
