I decided to make their breakup so specifically heartbreaking i myself choke up a little when I imagine the scenes I'll have to write (I'll definitely cry)

So uh.

The inevitable happens and Yuu has to leave. The days leading up to his leaving date things are very tense between them. A lot of their conversations are thinly veiled arguments about Azul wanting Yuu to stay and Yuu telling him he has to leave even though he doesn't want to. Azul thinks that he's making excuses and wants him to admit that he values his life on earth more than their relationship─ Yuu just wants Azul to understand that he has way too many responsibilities and life issues he needs to tie up before he can even think about running away with him to another dimension where he has nothing to his name and could slow Azul's progress down (It also doesn't help that Yuu never actually tells Azul just how famous and influential he is on earth). Yuu also thinks that they could try making a long distance relationship work since Idia and Ortho are working on ways to allow Yuu to reliably travel since they've already managed to make phones work, but Azul is very against long distance because he thinks Yuu would fall out of love if Azul isn't physically there to be of use to Yuu. They always get out of these fights by apologizing and just expressing how sad they are they can't be together but they ultimately never decide on anything. It's actually so stress inducing for everyone because they were in their whole honeymoon phase before this.

There's a whole going away party the day before Yuu leaves and even though it's fun, everything is very bittersweet and I even have this cute scene where Grim asks to go to sleep on Yuu's bed like how they did before Ramshackle was fixed up pre ch.3 🥺

BUT ANYWAYS before the Grim scene, Azul texts Yuu to come to his room in Ramshackle (Yuu often gifts the dorm's spare rooms to friends including Azul ofc) so they can talk about what they're going to do. Yeah well the conversation gets derailed and they end up having sex for the first time as like a way of Yuu physically trying to show Azul that he will love him forever no matter what //sobs

Thats when Grim barges in after they're done and asks for Yuu to sleep over. With Azul's permission he goes and sleeps with Grim but he still feels guilty because they did something very intimate together and if able he would've wanted to spend the night with Azul instead. Yuu ofc can't say no to Grim because he also loves him a lot, though.

In the morning then Yuu wakes up and makes breakfast for Azul as like a way to apologize for not staying over+ maybe make up and talk more about what they'll do?? but when he goes over to Azul's room he finds out that Azul left even earlier in the morning and broke up with him through LETTER.

So uhm yeah Yuu is obviously very heartbroken about all this but he tries to keep a strong face for his friends since he is literally leaving today and doesn't want anyone to feel even worse than they are rn. All while Yuu is giving his goodbyes, he doesn't see Azul and thinks he just dipped and won't say goodbye in person. But Azul actually does go at the last second and they say goodbye, trying to leave their relationship in amicable terms despite everything and despite they're both crying like babies. But then Yuu kisses his forehead tells him he LOVES HIM so Azul decides to play the bad guy and say goodbye to him for good.

Obviously he eventually regrets that decision but in the meantime,

here we are

also fun fact!! Yuu's vc is Symag (alongside others- im trying to catch a vibe) and this SONG in Yuu's canon he actually writes it after their break up so legit this song is about Azul in Yuu's universe BYE

You were surprised at how jittery you felt, your body alight with both nerves and excitement. You clutched the black silky robe tighter around yourself, the coolness of the material kissing your bare skin underneath. Your feet shifted anxiously as you stood in the doorway of your bedroom, while your gorgeous husband waited patiently on the couch in the living room like you had requested for him to do.

The two of you had been married for three years now so why was it that seducing him suddenly seemed like such a daunting task? All you had on underneath your robe was a pair of black heels and the diamond necklace that Taehyung had gifted you for your anniversary. You were his present, and you wanted nothing more than to let him unwrap you and have his way with you. You could already feel his lips on your skin, and hear his deep husky voice in your ear. Your thighs rubbed together, and you let out a small gasp as you lost yourself in a fantasy. 

Well, one thing was for sure. In reality, you couldn't seduce your husband from the doorway of a completely different room. You gave your robed figure one last once over in your bedroom mirror before finally strolling out of the room, a newfound confidence in your step. 

"Happy Anniversary, baby." 

Your voice was soft and sultry as you stepped into the living room, hands already beginning to pull at the loosely tied knot in your robe. Your actions faltered, however, when your gaze landed on your husband. You giggled quietly at the sight of him sprawled out on the couch across the room, seemingly fast asleep.

The only reply you received was the sound of your husband's even and steady breathing. You crept closer to the couch, and your heart melted at the way Taehyung's face was pressed into the pillows, his hair sticking up in the most messy, but endearing way. He was still in his clothes from dinner, a long brown overcoat with a white tee underneath, and a pair of plaid dress slacks. 

You took note of the couch pillow that was hugged to his chest, and had to quickly cover your mouth to stifle the laughter threatening to escape. He always had to be holding something, more often than not it was you, to be able to fall asleep. 

You stood beside the couch and observed him for several moments, smitten grin on your face. You were waiting to see if there was any chance that he would stir, and debated on whether or not it would be worth it to try and wake him up. You knew once he saw his surprise that everything would change in an instant, and he would fuck you like you had been dreaming about all day…

But, you also had the knowledge that he had put in a lot of extra hours at work this week to make sure that he could have today free to spend your anniversary with you. You knew he had to be exhausted, but that hadn't stopped him from bringing you breakfast in bed that morning, or taking you on a long, romantic, scenic drive, or ending the night with dinner at your favorite restaurant. 

Taehyung had really gone above and beyond for you today, which was why you had wanted to give back to him and show him how much you loved and appreciated him. You glanced down one more time at the sleeping beauty laid out on your couch, a pout prominent on his pretty lips as he slumbered away. God, you loved him so much. 

You carefully reached behind him to pull down the cozy bear print blanket from the back of the couch, draping it over your husband's body and taking care to make sure that it covered as much of him as possible. Taehyung snuggled into the warmth of the added layer, a content sigh escaping him, making you smile so hard it almost hurt. 

You leaned down to gently smooth some of his hair back, your husband chasing your touch even in his sleep. Your lips pressed lightly against his forehead, and Taehyung hummed in response. 

"Happy Anniversary, my love." you whispered into his hair, "I love you, forever and always."

how much significance do finger hearts have in SK? Hi! Thank you 🥺🥺 I'm assuming you are referring to this little finger heart here from MMA 2018:

Finger hearts aren't anything different than any other heart. Either with your whole body or your hand or your fingers, It's just a cute little "I love you" almost. Like when you send people hearts to show your love, when they send hearts to armys and to each other. It's very prevelant in Korea as an easy way to do a heart and even more so in kpop. And jikook send each other little finger hearts all the time. 2 other examples. JK giving Jimin a finger heart while he was singing during their PTD tour and Jimin sending one to JK after he lost a game during run because of Jimin lol

And all the members send each other little finger hearts to be sweet and send them to army too. Like here is Jin sending one to Yoongi

But I think the reason that jkkrs in particular were dying over this particular finger heart is because it's down low, it was given between their bodies, it was clearly just for them and no one else. On top of how insanely over the top sweet and melting into each other they were that day, JK literally just sending Jimin his love in his little finger heart was just the cherry on top basically. One more thing to cement how incredibly in love they were behaving that day.

And it wouldn't be the first time they exchanged what would have been a more private finger heart. Lol like this time when JK was filming Jimin walking and Jimin sent him a finger heart. Only for JK to immediately stop saying that it wasn't his phone and Jimin being confused. Yeah, that finger heart was meant for a video that was going to be kept for JK, or at least, that was the intention. It wasn't meant for whoever that phone belonged to or just a community filming phone 😂 but like they send finger hearts to staff, to friends, to army constantly. Why did that one have to be meant only for JK? 😏 food for thought lol

So I don't think its the finger heart exactly that had people thinking it was significant, it was simply just the context around it. And it's super sweet no matter what. Sending your love to someone with little hearts. I love how often they send us, staff, press and especially the members themselves little hearts. It's adorable!

oooh i was debating whether to answer this one bcos i wanted to rewrite TDDUP for Sukuna someday and didn’t wanna spoil but i’m not much into my jjk feels so the chances of that are low lmao. anyways yes i can spoil and thanks so much for the kind words 🥺💕

tw dark content, abuse, manipulation, attempted murder and suicide below the cut

TDDUP’s theme was going to resolve around how YN is conflicted over her attachment to Gojou through the soulmate bond, and how she ‘loved’ him against her will because he was truly crazy and abusive that ofc she wanted to leave. slowly, she began to grow unhinged around him as well and she had no choice but to break the soulmate bond to be free of him. in ch01, yukiji mentioned Gojou would never kill YN because he values and his life, and that’s because killing your soulmate could kill him too, and the same applies for if YN killed herself, Gojou would also die. the only way one of them can die without the other dying as well is if they die through natural causes like old age, illness, etc.

Yukiji and YN are twins. they were separated at birth because their mother cheated on her soulmate and was the King’s (Gojou’s dad) mistress. Gojou witnessed for himself the affair and how his mother turned miserable over it, but because they were soulmates, the Queen denied it and turned a blind eye. when Gojou was six, he told his mother about the affair but she didn’t believe him even though she knows its true, and Gojou’s parents claimed he was hallucinating because he had problems in his mind. because of this, Gojou was sent to an asylum where he was tortured with excuses of ‘treatment.’ Gojou hates his birthday because his father would always give him a bday gift which just meant more experiments on him. by the time Gojou turned 16, he’d fooled the healers that he was okay and returned to the castle as a charismatic young man who was ‘fully healed’ but his parents had already gone crazy. they lied to the kingdom that Gojou studied overseas and has now returned.

in those years, his mother could no longer handle her husband’s affair and jumped off the castle at the same time Gojou came inside her quarters to greet her for his return, so he was blamed as the suspect and that he might have pushed his mother off the balcony. naturally, his father died too, while Yukiji and YN’s mother had been stabbed by Gojou’s mother moments before she committed suicide. it all happened on the day he returned so Gojou was considered a curse, and even painted as a murderer. during this time, Yukiji approached Gojou and claimed they were soulmates. they had the same mark so he believed it.

the truth is that YN is the real soulmate. when she was born, her mother saw that she had the same mark as young prince Gojou, but YN’s father was already running away to hidein Mereia to live far away from his wife, who was greedy and wanted the throne which ended up to her seducing Gojou’s dad. left with no choice, she burned Yukiji’s true soulmate mark and got her tattooed with the same soulmate mark as Gojou’s. Gojou and Yukiji married after that, but Yukiji harbored hatred to Gojou because he made her life miserable. Yukiji had no healthy way to vent the pain from her mother’s neglect and the pressure to lie to the acclaimed psychotic Gojou, so she ended up hurting Gojou physically and emotionally. She’d often poison his food and try to stab him in his sleep. she would always hit him and humiliate him but then pretend to be a victim out in public, lying that Gojou wasn’t treating her well. Gojou has seen how his mother was hurt by not being loved by her soulmate, so he made a vow to himself that no mattee how much Yukiji hurt him, he’d never hurt her back. he would love her and care for her, but Yukiji was growing desperate when her burn mark magically healed and her true soulmate mark was appearing again.

around this time, Geto (Gojou’s original right hand man) discovered that Yukiji lied about being Gojou’s soulmate, so he planned to deliver the news to Gojou when Yukiji made a public stunt where it looked like Geto was seducing her and planning to kidnap her. Yukiji locked Geto under the dungeons beaten and bruised before she fled to Mereia - she felt the soulmate pull that led her to Sukuna, but she was also running away from Gojou. This was Gojou’s breaking point. The one thing he hates most is when he is accused of being someone he was not, and the people said Yukiji cheated because Gojou wasn’t a good husband. that’s when all his hatred poured out and YN ended up receiving it.

there’s a lot more that happened between them but long story short, YN could no longer handle the abuse. Gojou knew the whole time YN was not Yukiji but he’d been too deranged that he just started seeing Yukiji everywhere, so YN ended up drinking poison at the end to free herself from him.

in the end, they are reincarnated to a modern universe where YN is an Undesirable who fooled around with Gojou despite knowing he was happily married to his soulmate. her soul wanted to ruin his marriage the same way Gojou destroyed her in their past lives 😔

He caught your words brimming with excitement each time you mentioned that your birthday was approaching. His own words on that matter seemed minimal, almost as if Courier was reluctant to fuel any disappointment he might cause by telling you how he really felt about birthdays, namely yours.

Not oblivious though, you were able to catch onto his hesitant and uncomfortable body language. Even if you knew Courier wasn't much of a talker, it wasn't normal of him to be this silent on a subject, especially after you had shown this much excitement towards it. When you finally bit the bullet and asked him if you two could make plans together was when he actually managed to conjure up an explanation.

"I'll be busy." He said with his eyes glancing opposite of your direction. Was he telling the truth? Or was it simply an excuse?

To this your smile dimmed and once it did Couriers eyes shot right back at you. "Look shithead, I'm not trying to ruin anything, don't you have friends to celebrate with instead or something?"

You paused and it was obvious you were slightly hurt by his suggestion of celebrating without him. Of course, you took this as a cue that he'd be busy on your birthday, but the phrase "I'm not trying to ruin anything" stuck with you for a while.

Since then all talk on the subject had gone dead until you asked him what exactly he meant by not wanting to ruin anything.

Once again, the conversation was cheap and short. Courier reminded you that he was booked for an important job on your birthday either way so it did not matter.

In response you offered a few words to show him that even if he could spend a little extra time with you, you'd be grateful. Nonetheless, he remained quiet on the topic of your birthday afterwards.

When your birthday did arrive, everything was the same. It was monotonous like any other day and by the early afternoon you began to lose hope for something special to take place.

That was until you saw the glimmer of a familiar light beam through the window paired with the sound of a motorcycle engine. It was unusual for Courier to come home this early in the day so you went outside to investigate, hoping he was unharmed.

What you were met with was Courier just fine, sitting on his bike like he'd been expecting you.

"Get on shithead." He gestured his head to signal he wanted you to get on with him.

"I thought you said you'd be too busy to celebrate?" You asked, rightfully confused.

"Who said we're celebrating? Tsk, even if we were I said I'd be busy, not that I didn't want to...are you getting on or not?"

Still puzzled, you figured that there was no harm in seeing what he had in store for you so you got on as he'd instructed and wrapped your arms around him tight. Still, you'll never know exactly what it was he'd been trying not to ruin, but perhaps you'd get the chance to ask him that later.

Authors Note: I thought maybe an explanation might serve well here since I didn't wanna make this too long? Courier was afraid to ruin your birthday by not living up to your expectations as birthdays are typically special. When mentioned that you would be grateful even with a little extra time spent, he figured that he'd try to at least fulfill that.

Another thing I wanna note is one of the lines I had planned out for this scenario because I often brainstorm before writing : "tsk...how long am I gonna have to stand here before you take the flowers, shithead?" : I just thought it could serve as a future prompt and maybe you'd like it? Anyways, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! EAT LOTS OF CAKE FOR ME 😳 or whatever it is you enjoy!
