"too worn" what does that mean? i should probably look into the specific regulation they talked about.

okay so article 3.6.9 e) states "The thickness of the plank assembly measured normal to the lower surface must be 10mm ± 0.2mm and must be uniform when new. A minimum thickness of 9mm will be accepted due to wear, and conformity to this provision will be checked at the peripheries of the designated holes."

so i'm guessing ferrari's floor was too old and needed to be replaced? but lewis just get a new floor put in so this feels fishy

Your thoughts about Lan Xichen as a character? I'm curious how you perceive him since most see him as the supportive older brother.

Hi dearest! So I really do have a looooot of thoughts when it comes to Lan Xichen but I'll try to keep it as coherent as possible and try not to ramble too much.

I'll start by saying that I'm very emotionally attached to him because I hold a lot of similar characteristics to him, that being my kindness and naivety, this will lead into one of my points further down the line but to summarise it: I really get very emotional as to how his story ended.

His personality as whole really touches me — the kind, caring and compassionate attitude has always been something that stood out to me. He reminds me a lot of Jiang Yanli, I feel like he has a lot of love to give and just, it's unfortunate how things turned out

While I do see him as the supportive older brother, it is upsetting that not many people delve more into his character and more often than not simply correlate his entire existence around wangxian. Don't get me wrong, I ADORE all the thoughts of him being Wangji's number 1 supporter but I would love to see him as a character of his own

To me, he is one of those characters who hasn't done anything inherently wrong — or at least, has tried his hardest to avoid such things. And this is where everything begins to get upsetting. His kindness gets used and manipulated and it really fucks me up inside

As someone who has had that same kindness used against me and have had wool pulled over my eyes due to naivety? Needless to say, Xichen's story really crushed me with how it went. The narrative of him putting Yao before anyone else seems to be spun a lot, but does anyone really sit down and realise just how much Yao meant to him? Whether you view it in a platonic, romantic, or any other light — it really feels like people just brush by the fact that Yao meant a LOT to him. It's upsetting to see how one can go around praising Wangji for staying at Wuxian's side no matter what but immediately turn around and criticise Xichen for his faith in Yao ( not saying that Yao and Wuxian are exactly alike, but they're both not saints. not by a long shot ).

I think what hurts more is that Xichen's love is ultimately his downfall. He cares and forms such close bonds with people ( particularly Yao ) to the point where he cannot even see when the other is in the wrong. Looking at it from the third person perspective, I'm sure most of us are quick to point fingers — but take it from someone who was so madly in love with someone that I practically ignored any and all red flags, broke away from true friends who I knew for YEARS, and just wanted to believe that this person could do no wrong — that when you're in that shit? It's hard to see the light. It's hard to believe the truth.

And that's probably why I find Xichen's story and character to be so tragic. He loved too deeply to the point where that love became his ruin. He's naive, beyond kind, beyond compassionate, so, so fucking loving. And where did that leave him?

Suffering.

( I'm not going to get into how pissed I am over the fact that Huaisang couldn't just kill Yao off himself if he was really oh so devilish, rather than getting someone who he fucking KNEW would never be the same again should they have been the one to do it, that's a story for another day. tl;dr, biting the hand that feeds you ain't fucking cute. no one would have said shit if it was yanli in xichen's shoes )

So with Lorne who's so gentle and caring and can read minds... I was really drawn to him, I'm halfway through season 4 but I already love him so much. Happy Leap Year + Happy Year of The Dragon + Happy Birthday Hiccup!!! 🎉✨

I know this is not confirmed on the movies or anything, but I guess it's the closest I can get to Hiccup's birthday so I'll take it.

I'll also take the chance to talk a lil about my feelings below, pardon meee

I've been liking httyd since it first came out, I remember being a kid and not understanding half what what's going on with the movie but there where dragons so I couldn't give a shit. I don't remeber my first time watching httyd2 but I fucking wish I did, the only one I remember watching for the first time is httyd3 cuz I went to the cinema and cried a fucking toooon, also got the only official merch I had and it's a pop corn bowl hell yeah.

Anyways, even when I have loved it my whole life, there have only been few times I've got hyperfixated on it, I think this is like the fourth/fifth time or smth, but it's the first time making content and posting :) and I didn't imagine there would be people out there who could care about it. I'm here to thank all that people, all of you thank you for liking my stuff and for reblogging with all that funny and caring tags, I read all of them, sometimes take some pictures of them bc of how much of an impact they made me feel, I wish there were a easy way to answer to them :') Httyd means a lot to me and I genuinely think it has formed some of me as a person through the years. I can't believe how mixed-up the fandom (and the LOK writers) get Katara and Zuko's characters.

I want to make this clear, just because she grew up during the war, doesn't mean Katara was forced to fight. I honestly don't know where people get this from. Her cultural norms very blatantly dictate for her not to. It was something she vehemently struggled against to be able to do. It was always her initiative and choice to fight because that's who Katara is; a warrior.

Hell, she's even reveled in dominating her opponents and showing off her skills in battle

But you know who was forced to fight? You know whose skewed concepts of honor dictated him to fight? You know whose society urged him towards participating in war? You know who was the most at-ease and relaxed working peacefully in his uncle's tea shop?

The entire concept of Zuko's character is that he doesn't easily thrive as a warrior and doesn't enjoy fighting if he can avoid it. One of the key things he learns post-redemption is that fire isn't just a force of destruction, it's also life and passion. And that's what allows him to be a better firebender later.

So it makes no sense that Katara gave up on fighting before Zuko. And don't misunderstand, both of them should have been still relatively active (because Zuko is a warrior too and the point of this post is not to claim he isn't). But between the two of them, Zuko would have been the one to embrace peace and retire
