#he said that to taya... shes really short
Text
The two of them didn't even fully get transported back---it was more that they were suddenly and violently yanked back into the main chamber that Eva had come from, almost as if they'd been teleported (which, knowing that Zygna bitch and all of her tricks, they probably had been). The rest of the team raced to Eva's side as she reappeared, Matthew letting out an uncharacteristically shrill "EVA" as he raced to check her over. "Are you hurt? You found Damien? Is he hurt? Taya could probably look him over when all of this is said and done-"
"Jesus, Matt, give us some breathing room," Eva wheezed, holding one hand up to quiet her worried friend before running a hand through her curls to plaster them back in place. "He's.....okay. I guess. I found him. I'm alright. We're all here now, ready for whatever this reptile bitch has to throw at us."
"But Damien, hun. How are you here?" Taya interrupted, coming up alongside them and casting a worried eye over both Eva and Damien. "Last we checked, you were turning into a sea monster. And there was a lot more blood involved with that than I would have liked."
"Long story short, she made my body into a catalyst. A shell. It was me, but I was never really the one holding the reins. Not entirely, at least." Brushing the remnants of the seaweed that had held him captive for so long from his shoulders, Damien stepped forward, sweeping his eyes over the chamber. "Right. Where is she, then. If she called us back here, she can't be far--"
"PERCEPTIVE AS ALWAYS, MY DEAR LITTLE DAMIEN."
The booming voice rang out as Zygna materialized in front of them--or rather, a version of her materialized, looking like her true form but smaller, glowing around the edges as her lips curled back over formidable teeth.
"SO. YOU SUDDENLY THINK OF YOURSELF AS WORTH SAVING. WORTH CARING ABOUT. YOU LITTLE FOOL. DID YOU FORGET THAT I AM THE ONE WHO GAVE YOUR LIFE SOME IOTA OF PURPOSE? WHO SHOWED YOU YOUR TRUE NATURE? SHOWED YOU THAT THERE WAS NO FUTURE FOR YOU OTHER THAN BEING MY SERVANT UNTIL YOUR DYING DAYS? I GAVE YOU A ROLE TO PLAY IN ALL OF THIS. I WAS WILLING TO OFFER YOU MERCY. AND YOU DECIDE TO PAY HEED TO THE EMPTY WORDS OF A CHILD INSTEAD. I EXPECTED MORE FROM YOU."
Damien was clearly trying to direct a defiant glare in Zygna's direction, at that moment--but it was wavering around the edges as his eyes filled up with tears again, and it only lasted a moment until he ducked his head again, simply unable or unwilling to stare the one that had tormented him for so long directly in the eyes as his voice came out through clenched teeth. "You....you promised me that no one would get hurt. That was the only reason I took your estúpido deal in the first place. You said that if I did what I was told, none of them would get hurt."
"AND YOU BELIEVED ME? DEAR, DARLING DAMIEN. YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER THAN TO TAKE A GOD AT THEIR WORD. HUMANS ARE A DISEASE UPON THIS WORLD. WHEN DEALING WITH A DISEASE, DO YOU LEAVE BEHIND TRACES OF IT TO TRY AND GAIN A FOOTHOLD AGAIN? NO. YOU ERADICATE EVERY INCH OF IT UNTIL THERE IS NOTHING LEFT. AND NOW THAT YOU HAVE DISAPPOINTED ME SO VERY THOROUGHLY, I WILL TAKE IMMENSE JOY IN DESTROYING YOU ALONG WITH THE OTHERS. UNLESS YOU WANT TO COWER AND HIDE AND BEG FOR MERCY. GIVEN THAT THAT SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY THING YOU ARE USEFUL FOR."
Eva's hands clenched into angry fists at her side as Damien bowed his head even further, almost seeming cowed and tiny in the face of Zygna's poisonous words. How long had he been beaten down like this, to the point where any trace of fight went out of him like dust being blown away in the wind the minute that she spoke to him? How long had Zygna been whispering lies into his head, making him believe that he wasn't worth saving? Wasn't worth even existing as his own person? Gathering her nerve, she went to step forward again--
Only to gape widely as Brianna of all people stepped forward, her small frame vibrating with nervous energy even as she squared her shoulders and raised herself up on her tiptoes to look at the sea serpent directly in the eyes. "Y-you're wrong. Humans aren't a disease. If you were really a god, you'd know that. You'd know that we all h-have good and bad sides to us. Humans create so many beautiful things, and....and no two of them have the exact same experience! And you'll never understand that. You just want to....to kick people while they're down. To automatically see the worst in them. We're not scared of you. You're just a big....bully!"
Once confident, Brianna visibly quailed as Zygna laughed, the noise sounding like two boulders tumbling down from a mountain to crash into each other as she craned her massive neck down towards the girl.
"SO. THE COWARD OF THE GROUP PRESUMES THAT SHE CAN PREACH TO ME. THE LIABILITY. THE ONE EVERYONE IS SIMPLY PRETENDING TO TOLERATE. YOU MAY PUT ON A BRAVE FACE, MY DEAR, BUT I CAN SEE THE FEAR BEHIND YOUR GAZE. I CAN SMELL IT. AND I WILL DELIGHT IN FEASTING UPON IT. I WILL TEAR YOU LIMB FROM LIMB SO THAT YOU CAN LET YOUR TEAM DOWN ONE. LAST. TI-"
Eva gaped even further as Brianna straightened, an uncharacteristically determined and fiery look in her gaze--and then promptly leaned back to deliver a solid right hook to Zygna's toothy maw, words coming out in a frenzied screech.
"HOW'S THAT FOR BEING A COWARD?"
"AGHHHHHH. YOU INSOLENT BRAT-"
"Yeah! M-maybe I am! But I'm not going to run anymore! Not when my team needs me! And not when I want to prove someone wrong about the way they see people! And maybe that was really violent and I'm probably going to regret it later, but-" Brianna was stopped by Eva coming up and laying a hand on her shoulder, spinning around to regard the older girl with wide eyes. "Ohmigosh please don't be mad at me I know that was--"
"Bri. I am so FUCKING proud of you," Eva proclaimed, her eyes shimmering strangely in the darkness. "Way to stick it to this ugly-ass bitch."
"Are you. Are you actually crying, or-"
"Tell anyone that I cried over you and I'll sneak worms into your food, Bri, I mean it. But I'm proud of you for not running. Knew you had it in you." As Brianna stared blankly at her, clearly trying to discern the meaning behind the words, Eva turned back to the projection of Zygna, whipping her proton gun off of its holster and holding it steady. "But I think we're all done listening to you, Zygna, all things considered. Now, it's time to show you what humans are really capable of. We're gonna kick your ass and have fun doing it." As four of the other members stepped up beside her, she looked around for Damien, clearly still hanging back and looking uncomfortably like a trapped animal. "Damien. You said you had a plan. Now's the time to put it into action, bossman. Time to show this bitch that she doesn't have power over you anymore."
"I...." Damien hesitated, swallowing thickly as he looked from Eva and the group to Zygna and back again. "I can't. The last time I was in charge of a team, I....I got them all killed. How do you know the same thing won't happen again?"
"One, you're not fucking possessed this time. And two, we're all a lot stronger together than we are apart. You know that, Damien, we've been over this. Stop letting all the shitty things that happened in your past define you, okay? What matters is what's happening now. What matters is that you get a second chance now. Rocket gave you that chance. Craig and Marvin gave you that chance. I'm giving you that chance. So please, for the love of god, don't squander it now. Help us beat this bitch."
"DON'T LISTEN TO HER. YOU BELONG TO ME. YOU WILL ALWAYS BELONG TO ME. YOU WILL NEVER BE ANYTHING MORE THAN A FAILURE."
For several long, heart-stopping moments, Damien seemingly stood frozen in indecision, making Eva wonder if perhaps he was going to go back to Zygna's side out of sheer desperation and conditioning--and then his expression was hardening with resolve as he stepped up alongside the team, his voice stronger than Eva had heard it in months. "Well, my lady, I think there's only one way to test that theory. Heat 'em up."
Six different pairs of proton guns primed in perfect unison.
"You all followed the original team. We're gonna take some inspiration from them. You know what to do."
It was the first time that Eva had seen Zygna visibly look nervous, in the entire time that they had interacted with her. Those startlingly blue eyes now widened as the sea serpent glanced towards Damien, voice suddenly much shriller.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING. STOP THAT AT ONCE. STOP-"
"FIRE AT WILL."
Six different proton streams shot out in the same beat to ensnare Zygna, even as she roared and shrieked and whipped her coils against the confines of her own mind--
And then they crossed.

“Hell smells awfully clean” you think to yourself as your eyes slowly drift open.
The florescent lights of the room were blinding and your head fucking hurt. You shift as you open your eyes peering down. Your arm feels heavy, like it's asleep. You try to move it but you can't. Your eyes jolt down seeing a bush of blonde fluffy hair attached to a massive man laying on your arm. You lift your right arm, smiling and begin to stroke his hair. His eyes flash open as he turns his head to look at you.
"Well would you look at that, pro hero Dynamight sleeping in my room? How scandalous" you say giggling as Katsuki’s face lights up.
He grabs your cheeks bringing you in for a hasty, fast and hard kiss. You giggle as he pulls back looking at you.
"God your so beautiful even with that giant cut on your forehead" he smiles as you reach for your head.
"Dont touch it baby, you took quite the bashing from that roof" Katsuki winces as he removes your hand from your head.
Wait, the roof! Taya? Reirei?
As if almost to read your mind, Katsuki smiles "their fine Y/N, all thanks to you! You saved them baby."
You smile at him but your face soon turns sour.
"He's dead Y/N. Tony died on impact. Kenji, Gigi, Mai and the guards were all taken to the station. Gigi immediately flipped on his dad and brother. Seems he had a lot of remorse for what you were all going through. The police know what happened Y/N" Katsuki says rubbing your cheek.
You smile softly feeling a wave of emotions come over you. Katsuki pulls you into a hug as you begin to cry heavily. It was too much. Relief, fear, exhaustion all hitting you at once. Katsuki held you as you cried rubbing your back.
A light knock on the door shook you both from each other grasps as Katsuki instructed the person to enter.
"Is she awa- Y/N!" you hear Taya scream as she runs towards you. Reirei follows crying as they grasp you. Kirishima follows behind, leaning against the wall smiling. Katsuki walks over to him giving him a hug.
"Are you ok babes? How are you feel? That's gonna be a nasty ass scar on your leg man! Like once I saw a program where some guy cut his leg open and HID DRUGS IN IT" Taya shouted as you and Reirei looked at her. You both bust out laughing as Taya just looks at you both.
"What it's true! It really happened! He went to prison for like 5 years in Colombia" Taya finished he thought before looking at you both and smiling widely.
"I'm so glad your ok Y/N" she hugs you tightly "you saved us. You're our hero."
Y/N looks at Taya and Reirei, pulling out her necklace from under her hospital gown.
"Actually you both saved me" you smiles as Reirei and Taya start to cry.
You all hug for what seems like hours. Kirishima updates you on what's happening. He told you Deku and Shoto had all of Tony's men arrested and about the massive amount of quirk drugs they had found in the basement of the home. Kirishima said they couldn't be positive but it looked like they had been planning this for a while.
Y/N listened intently as Taya and Reirei sat on her bed holding her hand. After an hour, Taya and Reirei returned to their hospital rooms. They would be staying one more night while you stayed a few more days to make sure your body was healing properly. The doctor said you would need therapy to insure your leg muscle didn't tighten up due to the trauma it received.
Katsuki refused to leave your side. Kirishima brought him a bag of clothes and shower supplies so he could stay with you. You had just finished your dinner and you were getting up to walk around. You were using a walker to help balance yourself as you slowly moved through the hall ways. They were empty as you and Katsuki walked side by side. Katsuki held you with a weight belt incase you fell or got tired. You were in pain but the pain was manageable.
"I used it" you said softly as you walked down the hall.
"Used what baby" Katsuki looked at you questioningly.
"My quirk... I used it on Kenji" you smile as you look to the ground.
Katsuki’s breath hitched.
"I knew I had to get away. I had to steal whatever opportunity I had. I projected the imagine of you blowing up the fucking place" you laugh softly. Katsuki smiled.
"It felt so empowering Katsu, like I was taking my life back. Kenji told me I was going to be his wife and I thought 'that will be a cold day in Hell' and then I just used it" you said as you looked at him. Katsuki looked at you.
"Baby you did so good. I'm so beyond proud of you! You saved Taya and Reirei. You saved yourself. I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you" Katsuki frowned looking down.
You stop, lifting his chin up with your fingers. "That’s the thing Katsu, you were there. You were in my heart the whole time. Without you I had nothing to fight for" you smile as you reach to kiss him. He smiles as you continue to walk.
"Plus I knew you'd show up eventually. My magnetism is unwavering" you chuckle as he laughs.
"You're right, I wouldn't have slept until I found you" he smiles "plus I've got some new merch that I need you to look at."
You stop. Your eyes whip to meet Katsuki's "new merch? You just released merch a few weeks ago Katsuki. Are you trying to bankrupt your fans" you laugh.
He smiles "nah this isn't Dynamight merch" he says as he pulls out his wallet, handing you a card. You look at the card reading it as your eyes widen, filling with tears.
Y/N's Dance Academy
🔥💃🔥💃🔥💃*6 months later*🔥💃🔥💃🔥💃
"Will you all shut up" Reirei shouts "shes going to hear us and then surprise will be ruined!"
"I think your giving Taya TOO much credit Reirei, I mean she hasn't figured it out yet so what makes you think she'll suspect anything" you laugh
"Hey now don't make fun of my girlfriend" Kirishima pouts.
"Ah ah ah Ei, FUTURE girlfriend. She hasn't accepted yet" Katsuki spits.
The past 6 months have been a whirlwind for Y/N. After her stay in the hospital, she was released and went home with Katsuki. She spent the next months recovering mentally and psychically from her ordeal. Club Golden was shut down for good and Tony's family was charged appropriately. None of them would see the light of day anytime soon which made Y/N happy.
Katsuki took time off to help her in her recovery. After a month, Y/N began making plans for her future. She began to establish her dance studio, employing both Taya and Reirei as instructors full time. The clients poured in to support the women and their new dreams. Every class was filled to the brim and the business had grown rapidly. The wait list for class entrance was 6 months and counting.
Katsuki and Kirishima oversaw the entire installation of security and personally hired guards to secure the safety of the women and the clients. They even started teaching self defense classes on weekends that became very popular with the elderly ladies of the community. Y/n often joked that she better up her game in the dating department if she was going to hold onto Katsuki.
Y/N spent long hours working with clients and doing what she loved. She had never been happier. Not only was she with the love of her life but she was finally living her dream.
"Omg she's coming" ReiRei squeals as you all rush to hide.
You hear the door open and the lights switch on. You all jump out and scream "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" as Taya screams in both shock and terror!
"Oh my FUCKING God I hate you all" she cries as she bends over heaving, trying to absorb the shock.
You all laugh as things finally calm down.
Taya is crying after the shock wears off.
You spend the night celebrating your best friend.
Soon Kirishima stands up to speak.
"Taya, sweetheart can you come over here?" He says as he smiles at Taya.
You and Katsuki stand next to Reirei and you feel tears forming in your eyes.
"Taya we've been through alot this past few months and I just wanted to let you know that while they have been some of the most trying times in my life, they have also been the happiest. And that's all thanks to you" Ei says as he smiles down at Taya.
Taya is bawling at this point.
"God she's an ugly crier" Reirei snickers to you as you smack her shoulder.
"I heard that you bitch!" Taya yells as Reirei tries not to laugh.
"Taya, will you please do me the honor of being my girlfriend?" Ei says smiling to her.
"Are you serious? OH MY GOD EI YES" she screams as she hugs him and everyone claps.
The night proceeds. You have cake, Taya opens her gifts and you are forced to listen to her talk all night about her current fanfiction reads and the latest crime documentary she was watching.  You stand as you excuse yourself to the bathroom.
You had been getting sick for the past few weeks and only you and Katsuki knew the reason.
You hear a soft knock and a "can I come in" as he opens the door slipping in besides you.
He rubs your back as you rinse out your mouth with water.
He takes your hand and begins to play with the massive ring upon it.
"So when are we going to tell them?" he says smiling at you.
"Soon. Let's let Taya enjoy her night. I don't want to overload her with a new boyfriend AND becoming an aunt all in one night.  She might literally die of shock" you smile as Katsuki kisses your forehead.
You open the door as Katuski grabs your hand, you’re probably right, let’s wait to tell them.”
“Tell us what?” Taya says as the look on her face lights up.  Ei and Reirei start to make their way over to you.
You and Katsuki just smile at each other.

Rise of a Queen - Nikolai Lantsov x OC PART 8
Tumblr media
When Taya opened her eyes the next morning, she wasn't sure if she was actually awake or had just started another dream. There were flowers right in front of her and as she turned, there were even more roses. Slowly she sat up, looking around in both shock and awe. The entire room was covered in flowers. Roses in all colors, lilies, sunflowers, and even her favorites, orchids. Nikolai, and she had no doubt it was his doing, had apparently raided the royal gardens or all florists of Os Alta for this. But there was no sign of him in the room. Instead, Taya spotted a letter in the bouquet closest to her, unfolding it eagerly.
"My beloved Taya,
I did not forget about the flowers.
When you wake up, I will most likely be on my way again. I want to check on our parents and try to persuade some of the Grisha to come back. We could use some good Materialki specialists here and I hope to bring back a Healer to look at your wounds.
Somewhere underneath those flowers, I also bought a few books for you to read while you wait. Please take your medicine and rest. And do think of me.
Your Nikolai."
Your Nikolai. It sounded too good to be true, but it was true after last night. They hadn't said a word about love, but the kiss had spoken more than 1000 words. She could still feel her body shiver pleasantly at the mere memory of it.
Suddenly the door opened, revealing one of the maids, who had been bringing her food during the last few days. She was having trouble navigating through all the flowers with her tray of food and medicine, grumbling about having told His Highness not to spread them on the ground.
"Good morning, My Lady. How are you feeling today?" It was the same greeting every day, which Taya returned with a smile.
"Much better Mrs. Podlak, thank you.", she said, allowing the elder woman to set the tray down before her on the bed. There was tea, the dreaded medicine, and her beloved Syrinki.
"Let me open the window for you. The smell of these flowers is overpowering.", she continued, now fighting her way to the tall window. "I told him a bouquet or two would be enough...", she muttered to herself and Taya had to stifle a chuckle. It was so like Nikolai to exaggerate. But she also had to admit that she was quite surprised. The sleeping potion she still took in the evenings really knocked her out for she had neither noticed Nikolai getting up nor the big surprise being set up all around her.
"I do actually love the scent.", she called to Mrs. Podlak, but the maid had already decided that fresh air was in order. And it did indeed feel good, as a warm breeze came through the open window. "Has Nikolai been gone for long?"
"His Highness set out just before sunrise with the two Squallers. He did not say where he went and when he would be back."
Taya nodded to the answer and began her breakfast. She knew where he was and if things went smoothly, he could be back within a day. Until then, she would actually try to follow his request and rest up. At least she had some reading material now.
_____________
In the end, Nikolai returned the following day, his first destination being his chamber, where Taya was still confined to his bed. But he did not arrive alone, being followed the young man in the damaged red kefta, whom Taya recognized from the Little Palace. He had been the only Healer among the group they had found and he was probably among very few Corporalki still present. Most others had either deserted or followed the Darkling.
The prince walked up to his beloved, placing a soft kiss on the top of her head. "I see you enjoyed my surprise.", he began with a grin, before nodding to his companion, who obviously looked rather taken aback by the sea of flowers in the room. "Taya, this is Andrej Borisov. I'm going to leave you in his capable hands, while I quickly speak with the generals."
It was just a quick greeting, but Taya didn't mind. She knew Nikolai to be more than busy right now, being the one in command in his parents' absence. And there was plenty to do with city fortifications, repairs and the search for Alina. Taya was just sad that she couldn't be of more use. Though perhaps with Andrej's skills, she could be up and about much faster.
________
"Why did you stay behind?", she asked, after Andrej had started his work on her shoulder. She wasn't sure how he did it, but he placed his hands over her wound and she could feel her body pull and burn slightly, but not enough to cause extreme pain.
"Sonya, Gregori and Alexander are my friends. I could never leave them behind.", was all Andrej said. Taya didn't know who these people were exactly, though she vaguely remembered an Inferni in the group being called Sonya, but she did admire him for his loyalty.
"I hope the three of them are alright."
Andrej nodded. "They are. Sonya stayed behind at the Spinning Wheel. She found a way to be useful there with her skills. And the Twins are constantly flying back and forth or accompanying His Highness." Ah, so those were the names of the Twins, Taya thought to herself.
"And what do you want to do?", she asked Andrej, who stopped his work for a moment to check on the progress. A moment later his hand was back above her shoulder and she could feel the strange sensation in her flesh again.
"I want to help.", Andrej said simply. "I did what I could at the Spinning Wheel, but when his Highness told me I was needed here, I agreed to come. Besides, I wanted to see what it would feel like."
"And how does it feel?", Taya was genuinely curious.
"Strange... I grew up in the Little Palace. I thought it was the safest place for people like me. Turns out, it wasn't... But it is still my home and I think that I would like to return there."
Taya reached out, placing a hand on Andrej's arm. "We will make it a home again. For all Grisha. And while I can't promise that it will be the safest place in Ravka, we will take precautions this time."
For the first time since he came in, the ghost of a smile passed over Andrej's face. "We will see."
He went back to his work and a good half an hour later, he stood up again, allowing Taya to dress. "Your wounds are healing well. I could not mend them completely in one go, but give it another day and you will be able to walk around normally again."
She was immensely grateful for his help and even more grateful for the knowledge that she would only be confined to the bed for a short while longer.
______
A week later, Taya was already running around normally. She had put all her dedication into rebuilding and fortifying the Little Palace, even going as far as using all funds she had at her disposal. Compared to the fortune her family possessed as a whole, it wasn't much, but it was still more than enough to procure materials and pay people to help. A few of the Materialki returned from the Spinning Wheel to aid in the rebuilding of their former home, but they still relied on outside workers for some construction work.
During that time, Taya became closer to Andrej, Sonya, and especially the twins. While the Healer and his Inferni friend were constantly traveling back and forth between the Spinning Wheel and the capital, Alexander and Gregori spent more and more time in the Little Palace, only ever leaving to accompany Nikolai on some trip or another. At one point Taya revealed her own abilities to the twins and the two, after their initial surprise, agreed to train her.
Quickly, a routine had formed. Nikolai and Taya would wake up early together and share a quick breakfast, before going separate ways. She would work at the Little Palace and he would try to run the kingdom. In the afternoon the two would gather in the war room, where Nikolai devised strategies with his generals to prepare for another attack by the Darkling, while at the same time evaluating the messages he received from the search parties he had sent out in the quest for Alina and the others. Afterward, they would eat together again and then fall into bed, utterly exhausted just to wake up at sunrise again to begin the routine anew.
It meant that they didn't have much of a honeymoon phase, where they could explore and enjoy their newly discovered feelings for each other, but the brief moments they had were enough for now. They knew when other matters took priority and Nikolai was immensely grateful for Taya's understanding. Many women would feel abandoned or not graced with enough attention, but his love found ways to occupy herself and do her fair share of work. And it didn't go unnoticed either. The rumors about her being his mistress soon made way for gossip regarding the possibility of Taya becoming his wife and future Queen. Although he tried to pay the whispers no heed, it did make him proud to hear servants and nobles alike acknowledging her skills and potential.
What bothered Nikolai however was the lack of progress they were making. While the damages in Os Alta were quickly being taken care of, the building of more aircrafts and the search for Alina were at a standstill. They lacked materials to continue production and the sun summoner and her following were still swallowed up by the earth itself. It was frustrating, to say the least.
__________
One afternoon, Nikolai was leaning over a collection of sketches he had made for some new aircrafts, all light and fortified with the newest guns, trying to find ways to reduce their production cost, while also still sulking about the rather ineffective meeting with his generals just an hour ago. Taya had not been present, because she had been busy at the Little Palace. More Grisha had returned and she was making sure they were all settled in. It was a relief to hear that life was returning to normal at least a little bit and Nikolai knew that they needed the Grisha to keep the capital safe. They were mostly left with Etheralki and Materialki at this point, but a handful of healers had also rejoined their former little family along with two Heartrenders.
Suddenly the door of the library opened and his eyes went wide, as he saw Taya walk in, wearing a royal blue kefta, embroidered in the telling silver of the Squallers. She was smiling brightly, even doing a small twirl before him to show off her newest garment. "I got it as a gift today.", she announced. "The twins said I earned it." So it was official now. No hiding her true powers anymore.
Nikolai had tried to imagine what she would look like in the kefta once, but the reality was so much better. She looked regal in it, powerful and confident and absolutely perfect. He got up to examine her in detail, appreciating her from all angles, his mood instantly lifting. "You look beautiful.", he assured her.
He received a kiss as a thank you, before she joined him at the table to get a quick summary of what she had missed during the meeting. It really wasn't much.
"We need more funds.", she summarized all their growing problems into one simple sentence. They had to expand their search, buy more materials and strengthen their borders and production sites. Taya had used up almost all of her private fortune, and Nikolai was weary about taking too much from the treasury without his father's approval. He had his own fortune as well, but that was currently being invested into a secret project to assure a strong Ravka in the future. For a second both stared at the table, before speaking at the same time.
"I could do some business as Sturmhond."
"We need to hold a ball."
Silence again, as both blinked, before a chuckle escaped them. "I assume yours will take less time, but what do you plan to accomplish with a ball?", he asked curiously.
"The financial support of the noble families of Ravka. Gather them here, show them that the capital is safe again and that they can only keep their lifestyles if we manage to defeat the Darkling, find Alina and show military strength at the border."
"It was only a few weeks ago when you told me that I don't need the support of the nobles just yet.... How quickly times change.", he mused. "I will have to convince my parents to return as well."
"No, don't.", Taya said firmly, taking him by surprise. "The nobles need to follow and respect you. Their money will flow into your projects and you are the new hope for Ravka."
Nikolai felt a weight settle on his shoulders, that he had not known before. The weight of a crown he wasn't even wearing yet. His wish to save the country, however, was stronger than any fear of responsibility.
"What would I do without you?", he asked, reaching across the table to take her hand into his.
"Spent a few months at sea most likely, robbing Kerch traders in the name of the crown.", she replied with a smile. Nikolai felt his own lips draw into a smile at that.
"Probably.", he admitted. "It did work great before to amass a fortune." Turning more serious again he asked: "Do you think the nobles will return to the ballroom after what had happened there?"
"Eventually. But now might be a bit early. So we will hold the ball outside between the Grand and the Little Palace. Invite Grisha, spread some of your ships out. It will provide a sense of safety and a quick possible escape. At the same time, they can see where their money will go."
He was positively surprised by her wit and planning. Suddenly the thought of her as his Queen hit him. He had heard the possibility being thrown around for a while now, but hearing her plan to assure the future of Rvaka made it feel right. She was perfect for the role, no doubt. Her family name and fortune made her an adequate match and her intelligence and compassion would serve her well on the throne. The fact that he also loved her was just the icing on the cake.
But he would not offer now. Not until he was certain that there still was a country to rule side by side. And for that, he would have to face another dreaded ball.

The event took place a week later and had been a nightmare to organize. Sending letters to all the right families, getting varieties of his inventions onto the grounds, making sure there was enough food and drink and entertainment offered, as well as having the Palaces look even more splendid than usual was not what he had wanted to do in times like these. It even felt wrong to hold a spectacle like this while his friends were still missing and the Darkling still out there.
"If you pull a face like this all evening, nobody will offer you anything.", Taya said, drawing him out of his thoughts. She had come in without him noticing and got to work buttoning up his uniform. He would have to be the Prince again today. The charmer and the businessman, so he needed to look the part. So he was dressed in the royal red and gold his family loved so much and felt strangely silly in it.
Taya, on the other hand, was a sight to behold. She had opted for blue again, her favorite color, and the dress flowed on her like water, the silver embellishments adding to the magical effect. She had curled her hair again, putting it up in an elegant style and adding a silver tiara and jewels for good measure. They needed to look richer than they really were tonight.
"You look absolutely stunning.", he told her.
"And you look absolutely uncomfortable.", she just replied. "Smile and relax."
"I can do one of the two."
"Then smile." It was easier said than done. "Maybe the news I have will help. Everyone agreed to come tonight. Even Count Fedjor and his family. And I send word to my parents and they send out some invitations as well to their business partners."
Those were good news indeed and they reminded him once again how grateful he was to have her. "Well, then let's go and get our hands on their fortunes, shall we?"
__________
The ball was a great success. The nobility relished in the chance of holding a grand social event again and were easily susceptible to Nikolai's charm. Getting showered with attention and compliments from their future Tsar loosened their pockets and the presence of soldiers and Grisha alike gave them a sense of security. The aircrafts received ample amounts of admiration as well and especially the men were eager to invest in such technological advancements.
While the guests enjoyed themselves, Taya and Nikolai were hard at work. Always going from one person to the next, engaging in just the right small talk, and indiscreetly asking for financial support. He took care of the traditional families, while Taya used her charms on her father's long-standing business partners.
It was the early morning hours when the last guests began to leave, some of them even taking up the offer of being flown home on one of Nikolai's aircrafts. They didn't have enough Squallers to offer everyone the chance, but only a few were curious enough to try in the first place.
"I think that went rather well.", Taya said, sounding rather pleased. They were standing in the middle of prettily lit chaos, but they had accomplished what they had set out to do. "And I think this was the first ball that I didn't have a single dance."
"I distinctively remember you hating dance lessons."
"True, the lessons were a pain, but actual dancing is one of the few joys at every event."
They had shared dances since his return, but none as an actual couple. The idea came suddenly and he acted upon it right away. "Then would you offer me this dance, my lady?"
Taya laughed. "The musicians have already left."
"Show some creativity, my dear.", he bowed down like a true gentleman and offered her his hand. Still amused, she took it and allowed him to draw her into the first steps. To fill the silence, Nikolai hummed a random song they had heard that night and Taya eventually joined. Together they waltzed over the grass, elated by their success that night, getting completely lost in it. They didn't even notice as servants arrived to begin cleaning up, all looking perplexed or smiling at the sight of His Highness with his chosen lady.
Suddenly the first drops started falling from the sky, quickly followed by more. Within seconds, it was a proper rain shower and while the servants rushed for cover, Nikolai and Taya continued their dance. Their humming turned into laughter, as he spun her around before drawing her back close to him. They were absolutely drenched, but Taya had never enjoyed a ball more.
"I love you."
His words were almost drowned by the rain, but she heard them nevertheless. She wasn't sure where it had suddenly come from and it was unlike any declaration of love she had ever read about in books, but it was perfect. Because those words were coming from him.
"I love you too, Nikolai."
He pulled her towards him, his kiss almost desperate. They were pressed against each other, the rain still soaking their hair and skin, but neither cared. Taya's arms were around him, holding onto his jacket at his back. Their kiss got more frantic and they only broke apart when there was no air left in their lungs. Blue eyes stared into hazel and suddenly he pulled her along.
The way back to his room took longer than expected. Every few steps they were locked in a kiss again, with him pressing her against the closest wall or door. At one point they knocked over a vase with flowers but didn't even fully notice.
Taya didn't understand the fire that was suddenly burning within her, but she wasn't about to question or let it go. She wanted Nikolai close, wanted to feel all of him to show him how much she really meant those words she had said. And he seemed to feel exactly the same.
Once in his room, they began to tear at each others' clothes, trying to get them off their wet bodies. He was shirtless and working on her corset when he stopped for a moment as if his thoughts cleared for a second.
"Are you sure?", he asked. Taya's heart swelled with love at his concern for her, but she nodded. "Stop asking questions and kiss me."
He did, hungrily and passionately, his hands finally removing the corset. He slowed down only when she was fully nude before him, taking his time to take her in fully with his eyes. She was slender, but with just the right womanly curves, which he explored with his hands. He wanted to memorize every detail of her and get to know her body's secrets.
Soon they were on the bed and she was shivering against him, as he slowly learned just what she liked. There was a moment when he was about to ask her again if this was what she truly wanted, but before a word could escape him, Taya drew him into a kiss.
"No nonsense.", she said. "Make love to me, Nikolai."
The words alone were ecstasy for him and he wasted no time to fulfill her wish. They made love several times that night. Wild, slow, passionate, and intimate. And by the time the sun rose, both were exhausted. Stil entangled, they closed their eyes and sank into a much-deserved sleep.

WIP Wednesday #15
Since Jason's birthday is tomorrow and all, I'm doing something longer as a treat. A triptych, if you will!
Content warnings for child abuse and neglect, alcoholism and food insecurity.
Thalia wakes up, like she usually does, to Jason curled against her with his fingers in his mouth. She can't easily put him in his crib by herself, but her mattress is on the floor and there's nowhere for him to fall, so she can ensure that she's there to hold him whenever he wakes up crying. Her shirt's a little damp, but this time it's just because he's drooling in his sleep. Last night, thankfully, was free from disruptions.
For him, at least.
He's a year old today, and she hasn't seen their mother since two nights ago, slumped on the couch with an empty bottle of vodka on the ground next to her. The door to her room is closed. Whether she's in there sleeping it off or out somewhere getting drunker, Thalia has no idea.
Bitterly, she doesn't care. It's not like their mom cares about them, either.
Jason yawns, his hair sticking up like a cockatoo's feathers. The first eye contact of the morning always leaves him giggling and reaching for her, and the feeling of his small, warm body flopping onto her brings her focus back to where it should be.
"Happy birthday, shrimp."
"Happy," he repeats, nosing at her stomach.
It's up to her, like usual, so she gets him dressed and ready and gives him the last of the cereal to occupy himself while she digs through her closet to find the old coffee can she stashed there.
Every time she thinks she can get away with it, she lifts a bill from their mother's wallet and puts it in the can. Every nickel she finds on the street, every dime she pulls from the couch cushions; it all adds up, a little at a time.
After carefully saving as much as she could for the past few weeks, she's squirreled away enough. She takes out a fistful and stuffs it in her pocket, then re-buries the can under a pile of her laundry.
Today's special, and she'll cover the loss somehow— by sneaking some extra groceries under her coat again, if she has to.
Jason's finished with his breakfast by the time she emerges, sitting patiently and playing with the plastic dish she'd given it to him on. Her sweet baby brother, looking up at her with a smile so sunny you'd think they were living like kings.
Her chest feels tight and her throat's in no better condition. After a deep breath, she reaches down to grab his hands.
"Do you know what birthdays mean?"
He takes a second to think about it as she pulls him to his feet, then shakes his head.
"Birthdays, Jason," she says, grinning— it's harder to dwell when he's holding onto her hand— "mean birthday cake."
The gas station a block away at least has the miniature kind wrapped in cellophane. He won't know the difference, since he hasn't even been introduced to the concept of cake yet, but she'll still have to make it up to him with a real one someday.
By the time Jason turns two, Thalia has shoplifting down to an art form.
People are usually too busy fawning over how precious her brother is to pay her much attention, and having Luke along makes it almost easy. Jason adores him, and he's happy to draw focus away from her by translating the toddler babble and proclaiming that they're his favorite babysitting clients, which conveniently explains the lack of adult supervision.
Thanks to him, she's managed to get Jason something a lot better than cake.
She saw it in the window of a toy shop and immediately knew it was perfect, but it cost more than she'd scrounged in the past six months. She'd been resigned to the idea of stealing a brownie instead, and then last night, Luke showed up at her doorstep with it tucked under his arm and his face split into a wicked grin.
She's not sure she wants to know how he managed to smuggle it out without getting caught, but the way Jason lights up when he lays eyes on it, happier than she's ever seen him, is enough to make her ignore the uneasy feeling.
"Puppy!"
She can't help but mirror it back to him, her heart swelling with emotion as he flings his arms around the stuffed animal's neck. It's almost as big as he is.
"That's right. It's a wolf puppy. She's named after a mama wolf called Lupa."
The real Lupa is the matriarch of a pack living at a conservancy in San Diego county. Her likeness is an embodiment of the fiercely protective love Jason should have gotten from his own mother, and which has fallen to Thalia and her limited capabilities instead.
Jason rolls over, still holding tight to his new doll, and lays his head in her lap. If she's coming up short, he certainly hasn't noticed.
"My Lupa?"
He's gently petting the wolf's fur, in a movement that's strikingly similar to how Thalia's petting his hair. She blinks a few times to chase away the burning in her eyes.
"Your Lupa."
She can't give him the childhood that he deserves. It's a struggle to make sure even his most basic needs are met, and some days it feels like the whole world is united against them, but then he hugs her leg or curls up against her shoulder or tells her in that sweet voice love you, Taya—
And everything settles in her chest, refining itself into a white-hot determination.
She's all he has, and the one thing she can make sure he'll never want for is someone who loves him enough to fight for him.
She understands how the real Lupa must feel about her cubs. She knows, with more certainty than she's ever known anything, that if anyone so much as thinks about hurting her little brother— hurting her baby— she'll tear them to shreds with her teeth before they have time to run.
Everything is perfect. Thalia's made sure of it.
The party doesn't start for another hour, so she has to keep Jason occupied until then. He thinks she has lunch reservations and they're meeting at her place for coffee first— the second part is true; she has a pot of Kona ready to go as soon as he arrives.
While she's preparing his decoy surprise, the rest of his friends are in Manhattan, helping Percy and Sally get his bash underway. She finds herself quivering with excitement as she puts the last few touches in place.
The doorbell rings and she squeaks, shoving the main item behind a bookshelf before racing to answer the door.
"Happy birthday, shrimp." She stands up on her tiptoes and hugs him around the neck. "I have something for you."
Jason beams, pink, and squeezes her back.
"I told you last year that you don't have to get me anything. Your company is a gift in and of itself."
"Ha ha," she counters dryly, knowing he can hear her getting a little emotional at the sincerity on his face. "Very funny. Like I'm not going to try to make up for the ten of them that I missed."
She takes hold of his arm and pulls him into the apartment, past the kitchen to the hall that leads to her bedroom. She opens the door beside it, the one that used to be her study.
Jason's eyes go wide.
The desk is still there, but the chair is new, much larger than the one she used. The bookcase is the same, too, but she's put her video games in a box in her bedroom and filled the shelves with fresh sketchbooks and paints and pencils instead. The bed is new too, as well as the nightstand and the dresser.
Sally stripped and varnished all of the wood, and built a set of floating shelves that are currently storing a series of framed photos from Annabeth's camera reel. Piper decided on the paint colors— sky blue with a deep purple accent on the wall that slants to the ceiling. Leo took care of borrowing Jason's favorite sketches to make the framed prints above his bed, by pretending he was doing a photography project with them.
(He'd burst into laughter when she gave him Jason's baby drawings to frame too, and she'd almost punched him in the mouth— but then she'd noticed his voice was a little tight when he told her the crayon scribbles looked just like her.)
"Wow," Jason breathes, staring around the room as though he doesn't know where to land his focus. "This— is all of this for me?"
"Anytime you need an escape, you've got one. Think of it as your safe house. And there's one more thing."
Reluctantly, she steps away and retrieves what she hid earlier.
Jason's mouth drops.
"Lupa," he whispers, raising his hand. He stops himself halfway through reaching over, like he doesn't know if he should. "How did you find another one? I thought they were a limited run."
Thalia takes his hand, wrapping his fingers around the new doll's front leg.
"I traded twenty-seven ultra-rare mint-condition beanie babies for her with a collector in Montana."
"Do I want to know how you got twenty-seven ultra-rare mint-condition beanie babies?"
"It's not as sordid as you're thinking, I just spent a lot of time on Ebay."
Jason laughs, shaky, and sits down on his new mattress. He's probably not even conscious of the way he's running his thumb over Lupa's paw, exactly the way he did the first time.
He said that donating the original to charity was his idea, but Thalia has a suspicion he was pushed into it with a healthy dose of shaming and manipulation, and the look on his face— shocked, bright-eyed, a little scared like he thinks she'll disappear if he blinks— pretty much confirms it.
Thalia sits beside him and wraps an arm around his back. He slides down along the mattress until he's lying with his head in her lap.
"My Lupa," he says quietly, and she knows he remembers doing it before.
"Your Lupa," she chokes back. "For real, this time. Nobody's going to take her away from you, ever again."
It's different now, because Lupa is about the size of a two year old child, and Jason very much no longer is. She fits in the crook of his elbow, and he couldn't wrap his arms and legs around her if he tried.
Thalia tries not to think about all the nights between then and now that he's needed her, and didn't have her.
He smiles, wiser than his fifteen years.
(He's fifteen years old. God. She missed so much— thirteen months isn't long enough to even really begin to catch up.)
"I know they won't," he tells her. "You won't let them."
She's never going to get those years back. The only thing she can do is make sure she appreciates what she has now.
"I believe you would."
"I'll bite anyone who tries," she whispers back, leaning down to kiss his forehead. He bursts into laughter, reaching up to ruffle her hair like she used to do to him.

Writing collab with InferKit program
I wrote the beginning of this story, and InferKit wrote the end.
It got… very wild.
Chapter 1: Written by whimsycreator
“Welcome to our Steakhouse! Ah! You must be Ruko!” The large, hefty ogre lady at the oversized door greeted the group of friends with the warmest smile a one-eyed ogre could possible give. But it was welcoming nonetheless. Especially to Ruko, who was already friends with her son, Bolt. “Bolt has told me all about you since he met you at that Chuck E Cheese that day! And I’m assuming these are your friends? Oh! They look like they haven’t been eating properly! We’ll give them a satisfying meal at once!” “Ah, no need for concern…” Ruko said. “My friends are actually normal-sized for humans… I’m the big one, is all.” “Oh.” The lumbering ogre looked a bit embarrassed for a while. Indeed, Ritsu and Momo were quite short. Teto and Uta were absolutely tiny. Even Taya, who was the tallest of Ruko’s buddies, was still an entire foot shorter than Ruko. Ruko, despite being human, had to celebrate her birthday at a special Chuck E Cheese for monsters because she was so huge. (Even though a regular Chuck E Cheese was quite small for a typically-sized adolescent as well.) However, Ruko still wanted to play on the kids’ equipment. It turned out the Chuck E Cheese for monster children was the perfect size for her. She and her friends had a blast there, and even befriended a few monsters. Bolt, who was only ten years old but around Ruko’s massive height, clonked up to the door of the steakhouse on his big ogre feet to see who was at the door. “What is UP?” He roared. “Oh hey! It’s the Fam!” He invited the group inside. Everything was so big and there were many designs and accommodations made to fit the monster clientele. The customers inside ranged from centaurs, to harpies, to ogres, and cyclopses, werewolves, yetis, humanoids with serpent tails in the place of their legs, minotaurs, miniature giants, and all kinds of other monsters—all sorts of beings who would be considered out of the ordinary. “My mom cooks the best sirloins in the nearby monster world, by the way.” Bolt raved. “Try them medium-rare with the cryptic sauce, it’s epic! So… I’m assuming you all want to sit together?” “Of course!” Everyone said together. Well… almost… “Oh… um…” A soft, shaky voice spoke up. It barely managed to be heard above all the commotion going on. “Actually… I’d um… like to sit alone.” It said. It didn’t take long to realize that the voice had come from Taya. “…What!?” Ruko and the rest of Taya’s friends immediately objected to his decision. “But… WHY? Didn’t we come here altogether for YOU to celebrate YOUR birthday with YOU, TAYA?” Ritsu started raising his voice. With every word, there was a slight crescendo in his tone. “Ritsu is yelling again...” Momo commented. Conflict always made her feel uneasy. “So what’s new, exactly?” Uta snarked. She could be quite sarcastic. Teto burst into silly laughter at Uta’s wisecrack. Teto was quite the goofball. “Shut it.” Ritsu said to Uta. This caused Teto to laugh even more. “You too!” Ritsu shouted at Teto. She promptly stifled her giggles. “Well… actually, Ritsu…” Taya said. “We came here for YOU to celebrate MY birthday for YOU, Ritsu. I didn’t plan to come here.” “Taya!” Ritsu yelled even louder this time. “So you’re just gonna… leave us? What’s got you so upset at us anyway?” “QUIET!!” Ruko suddenly let loose like a screamo vocalist. Maiko Hakaine, who was randomly sitting at table 3, began clapping. “Rock on, Ruko!” She said. “…ANYWAY, Taya… you’re not disrespecting this place because it’s run by monsters, right?” “No, no and no!” Taya shook his head and denied every accusation that had been thrown at him. “It’s none of that, really and for truly! I can’t believe you would think I’m being this way when I just need a little alone time. You guys understand now, right?” Taya then looked directly at the group with sad eyes, and undeniably, a subtle expression of true remorse. Ritsu, who was extra-good at reading Taya’s emotions, felt it first. “Something must be troubling Taya!” He thought. “It must be something he can’t tell us!” Bolt, who was observing the entire scene,
just shrugged and disappointedly let Taya go. “Sorry… That must hurt.” Bolt said. Ritsu sighed. “It must hurt even more for Taya…” He suddenly said in a low tone. “Huh?” Ruko asked. “Something is troubling Taya!” Ritsu said loudly, standing up from his seat in resolve. “I’m sure of it!” “That’s right!” Momo stood up as well. “Let’s find him and tell him we’ll always be there for him!” “Okay!” The rest of the group nodded in unison and agreed. ——— Meanwhile… Taya had been seated at The Abyssal Zone of the Steakhouse. It was so scary and desolate, not even the monsters wanted to be there. It was the only place that Taya could truly sit alone. “Hello, Sir. My name is Celia and I’ll be taking your order… What would you be having today?” A very dignified-looking banshee in a dapper outfit, not unlike Taya’s tailcoat, long pants and gloves, walked up to Taya’s lonely candlelit table and took his order. However, it looked more like the banshee was levitating. Also she did look kind of ghostly and transparent. “Ah, well…” Taya did not make eye contact. “I’d like… uh… um… ah… um… uh… ah…” Meanwhile, Ritsu and his friends had found that the steakhouse was bigger than expected, so they made a plan to split up. Momo looked in the bathroom. It was a very cursed place and some of the toilets were on fire. There was also a seance going on in one of the stalls. Uta looked in the parking lot. Maybe Taya ran out there. But all she saw were cars, empty soda cans, and the occasional drunk monster. Teto looked in the kitchen. She borrowed a chef’s outfit and made sure to grow her chimera bat wings and horns to look more like a monster who would cook there. Then she suddenly remembered Taya probably wouldn’t be in the kitchen cooking his own food, and left. Ruko and Ritsu looked around the rest of the place. Eventually they stumbled upon The Abyssal Zone of the Steakhouse. And when they got there, Taya still was having his order taken… The two hid behind a cursed eyeball bush to spy on Taya. “Ah yes, take your time…” Celia said to Taya in a voice so calm, it was downright sinister… “Yeah… Um. Sure.” He stuttered again. “Ruko!” Ritsu yelled. “Taya is—“ “Shut your mouth!” Ruko whispered loudly and put her hand over Ritsu’s mouth. Ritsu was feeling a bit obnoxious so he licked Ruko’s palm. This caused Ruko to scream. “…Who screamed?” Celia asked. “Was it you?” “…No?” Taya said. “Well then. I still need your order.” “Um… yeah. Uh…” Taya began nervously stammering again. “Why is Taya so embarrassed about his order?” Ruko asked Ritsu in a whisper. “Heck if I know.” Ritsu said. Taya turned a deep red and finally gave his order. “Ah uh… AH YES I WOULD LIKEAHAMBURGERTHANKYOU.” “Mhm… that can be done immediately.” Celia laughed in a chilling way and floated away in a sinister manner. “…What did Taya say?” Ruko asked. “I don’t know.” Ritsu answered. “But why do I have an impending feeling of doom all of a sudden?” As soon as Celia was out of the picture, Ritsu and Ruko went up to Taya’s table… “Taya, please tell us what’s wrong.” Ritsu said. “YAAAAAH!” Taya shrieked. Ritsu’s sudden appearance startled him. “You’re telling me!” Ritsu said. “Everything here is giving me the creeps!” “R-R-Ritsu! Why did you follow me?” Taya shouted. “Because… I am very worried, Taya. You seem to be hiding something. You looked sad. Please. Please tell me and Ruko what’s bothering you, okay?” Taya suddenly took in a big deep breath and breathed out. “Promise you won’t tell anyone who isn’t our friend, okay?” “Promise.” Ritsu said. “Okay… the thing is… I…” Taya spoke in a very serious tone. “I don’t like steak and I just wanted to keep that fact a secret so you wouldn’t tease me. I know tha—“ “WAIT… WHAT?” Ritsu suddenly interrupted. “Yes, I know. It’s shocking, but I just don’t enjoy the—“ “YOU MEAN ALL THAT WAS JUST FOR THAT REASON?” Ritsu threw his hands down on the table. “…You’re not gonna tease me for not liking steak?” Taya said. “…No? The only thing I’d EVER tease you about is the fact that you acted like this was
something so damn serious!” “…And approximately a trillion more things.” Taya said. “Whatever.” Ritsu said. “But it’s true!” Taya said. “If I DIDN’T treat this as a serious thing, I know exactly what would’ve happened. I would order a small burger while the rest of you order a huge steak. You would comment on it. I would end up having to say I don’t like steak, and you would be all like, excuse my impersonation of you, “WHAT? YOU DON’T LIKE STEAK, TAYAAAAAAAA? And you would tease me about it every day for the rest of my life.” “…Huh. That impression of Ritsu was pretty good.” Ruko said. “It just needs to be a little louder and more obnoxious next time.” All three of them burst into laughter. Uta, Teto, and Momo showed up to the scene too. “There you guys are!” Momo said. “So I guess this was all because Taya thought his image was at steak! Haha! Get it?” Teto laughed. Everyone else said “What the heck,” and laughed along with Teto’s corny joke. Suddenly, Celia returned with a silver platter. “I brought what you ordered.” She opened the dome on the platter… but instead of a hamburger, it was a large strawberry. Strawberries also happened to be Taya’s favorite fruit. It was the biggest, reddest, ripest, roundest, juiciest looking strawberry Taya had ever seen. His pupils instantly grew and his mouth watered upon seeing it. “We overheard that you didn’t like steak. But that’s okay. Fruit is much more refreshing, sou ne?” Celia said. “Ah, sou desu yo… You’re speaking my language.” Taya instantly grew hypnotized. He teetered right up to the platter, bit right into the strawberry… and fainted seconds later. Everyone gasped. “Hey, creep! What the hell did you do to him?” Ritsu shouted. “He ordered a harbinger, right? So I brought him one. A harbinger of death…” All of Taya’s friends began shaking. “NO!” Ritsu cried out. “HE ORDERED A HAMBURGER, NOT A HARBINGER! CLEAN YOUR EARS!!” “Well, he was speaking so incoherently, how was I to know?” Celia said. She then laughed like a smug anime villain and vanished into purple smoke.

Chapter 2: Written by InferKit
“…What the hell?” Taya said. Suddenly, his memories returned. “Wh… what was that all about?” Taya said. Everyone just stood there for a moment, seemingly unable to respond. “CELIA?!” Taya screamed. “YOU TOTALLY DID THAT! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU… WHY ARE YOU HERE?!” Everyone just stood there for a moment, seemingly unable to respond. “Did what?” Ruko finally asked. Taya ran up to Celia and grabbed her wrist, yanking her to her feet. “HOW CAN YOU DO THAT TO HIM?!” Taya screamed. Celia smiled and replied, “Hello, Taya.” “Hello?” Taya repeated. “YOU’RE HERE TO STAB ME? THIS IS SUCH A WASTE OF TIME!” “No, I’m not here to kill you, Taya,” Celia responded, “I’m here to help. I’ve been waiting a long time for someone to come and rescue me.” “Rescue you? You?” Taya laughed. “What do you mean by that?” “The truth is Taya,” Celia began. “You are the chosen one. The one who can do what I cannot do.” “And how do you know that?” Taya asked. Celia held out her hand, and… something materialized from her skin. Ruko screamed in horror. “Taya, get away from her!” “NO!” Taya screamed. “LET ME GO!” Taya’s eyes grew wide with fear. He could see the small, blue power cell, which was nearly as long as he was tall. It pulsed gently as it moved. “What the hell?” Taya cried. “Are you…” Before Taya could finish his question, Celia finished her sentence for him. The power cell shattered, releasing a powerful beam of blue light. Ruko screamed in agony. Taya just stared at Celia with a blank expression on his face. “Taya,” Celia said, “I’m not going to hurt you. It’s what I have to do to rescue you. You have to let me.” “Why?!” Taya screamed. “Because, Taya, you are the one who can save all of our lives,” Celia said. “You’re the one who has to fix everything that’s wrong with the world.” “I’m not going to be able to do that!” Taya screamed. “I can’t do that!” “It doesn’t matter, Taya,” Celia said. “It doesn’t matter if you can do that or not. The world will not exist in the state that it is without you.” “W-what?” Taya said. “That… that’s just absurd. You don’t have to do that!” “I have to, Taya,” Celia said. “I have to save you all. You’re the only one who can do it.” “I CAN’T DO THAT!” Taya screamed, “I’M A-A GOD!” “No, Taya, you’re not,” Celia said, “but you are more powerful than you realize. The truth is, you can save the world. But you need my help to do it.” “Why?” Taya asked. “I-I can’t do that!” Celia was about to explain the details of her mission when Ruko came running down the hallway. He ran up to Celia, clutching his arm in pain. “That bitch!” Ruko yelled. “That bitch Celia!” “I told you not to let her anywhere near me!” Taya screamed. “How dare you speak to Celia like that!” Ruko yelled back. “Do you know how many people she’s hurt? I almost died trying to keep you all safe.” “YOU STOLE MY POWER CORD!” Taya screamed. “She doesn’t have the power of that energy,” Celia said, her voice shaking with emotion. “She doesn’t have it.” “Why the hell would you let her near me, anyway?” Ruko asked, his voice low. “What kind of friend would do that?” “I’m your friend, Ruko,” Celia said. “I am supposed to be your friend.” “No, you’re not!” Ruko yelled. “You’re the kind of friend who steals your friend’s power cord and leaves him to die!” “I’M NOT A MONSTER!” Taya screamed. “I’m not a monster!” “You don’t have to be a monster,” Celia said, her voice trembling. “You’re not.” Taya shook his head. “There’s a time to save everyone,” Celia said, “and there’s a time to save yourself. You’re the only one who can save everyone. If you go back to the power cell, you’ll be killed. I won’t be able to rescue you, because I’ll be dead. And then the world will be destroyed.” Taya wiped the tears from his eyes. “Please don’t do this,” he said. “I-I’m not like this. I’m not the monster you think I am.” “I know you’re not the monster Celia thinks you are,” Celia said. “But I’m not going to save the world by letting you go back to the power cell. You don’t understand what it would mean. You’d be committing suicide, and
the world would never be saved.” Taya grabbed Celia by the shoulders and pushed her away. “No,” he said. “No, no, no, no, no, no! I’m a-a god, you idiot! I can’t die! I can’t!” “You can’t,” Celia said. “Not without me. You’d be a part of history, but nothing else. You have to die.” “I can’t do that! I’m a god!” Taya said. “You can be anything you want,” Celia said. “If you can’t be god, then just be the way that I’m afraid you’ll be.” “I’m not a monster!” Taya screamed. “I’m just an average teenager! I don’t know what to do with these feelings I’ve had lately! I’m just a confused kid who happens to be a god!” “You know what,” Celia said, her voice thick with emotion. “You don’t know what to do with these feelings either. If that’s what you think, then it’s okay, because you don’t have to worry about it anymore.” “No!” Taya screamed. “NO!” Celia let Taya pull her to the ground. “It’s okay, Taya,” Celia whispered, running her fingers through his hair. “I’m going to give you a different answer than I’ve given you before. It’s okay to be who you are. You’re not a monster, you’re just a guy with a lot of feelings.” “But I’m not a guy,” Taya said. “You’re human,” Celia said. “Not a monster, not a god. A man.” Taya rubbed his forehead. “I’m not a man,” he said. “I’m a god. And when I die, the world is going to burn down around me.” “Then you die,” Celia said. “All of you die. Everyone in the world dies. We’re all going to die. So why not do what you can to make sure that you don’t die?” Taya didn’t answer her. “No,” Taya said. “No. I’m a god. I’m a god.”

The broken Kokiri
(Linked Universe pt3)
It was late. So the nine heros decided to make a camp and stay there for the night. A guy with a wooly black thing around his neck and black marks in his face went deeper into the woods. Beside him was a short man with a colorful tunic.
The others took down their bags and weapons and put them onto the ground. Horror Kid was watching them all the time. It was very interesting. He had never seen humans since he returned into his woods to show them to his Fairyfriends.
"Sky, why do we have to babysit your little...seriously. What is this? Its scaring like its watching us all the time." The man with the pink hair, Legine or somehow, said annoyed. What was his name? Something with L he thought.
"Its a Horror Kid, i think. And its friendly. Just look at it. I think its quite cute with its Fairies hiding behind it." The nice man, Sky, was right. Horror Kid feld his friends tremble behind him.
"To be honest, i think Legend's right. It looks eeevil!" The man with the blue thing around his neck said standing behind Legend and gave a mistrusting look to Horror Kid. Legend in front of him just nodded.
Then he also started to talking to Sky again. "Well if it kills you during you are asleep, i will laugh. And if it robs all our stuff, i will kill you and laugh either." He said with a cold look to Sky. "And if that happens, i wont be the only one who kills you and your Horror Pet."
The two men, which had gone into the forest before, came back with wood. "Its about time you two come back, Twilight." A man with quite long hair and a blue tunic said.
"Well then. The next time youre the one who collects firewood." The guy with the black markings, Twilight, said and dropped the wood he was carrying right in front of the long haired guys shoes. The short man next to him did the same and walked away without saying a word.
The man with the long hair grumbling picked it up and started to pile the wood to a small Pyramid. He took a small branch and started to rotate it fast on a other peace of wood. Horror Kid couldnt exectly see, what he was doing there.
Sky was still arguing with Legend and the blue scarf man.
Then two other man came towarts to him. They were shorter than Sky but taller than the guy with the colorful tunic. The one had a blue tunic like the long hair guy and blond hair. The other had a bit darker hair and a green tunic. They came closer and the blue boy started speaking to him. "Hey, my name is Wind, and thats Hyrule." He pointed at the green boy, which friendly smiled to him. "Whats your name?"
"My name is Horror Kid. And theese are my friends. Tael und Taya." He anwered with a laugh too. "They are shy. But i cant understand why they are afraid of you. You are all so nice! Except this guy over there and the guy behind him." He looked at Legend and the other man.
Wind and Hyrule looked at them as well and started laughing. "Yeah, Legend is a real grumpy guy sometimes." Hyrule said and Wind was still laughing. When he stoped laughing too he held his hand in front of him. "Nice to meet you Horror Kid."
He didnt knew what that means and stared at Winds hand. Then he looked at his own hand and reached for Winds.
But Taya was faster. The bright glowing Fairy suddenly appeared in front of him and shouting at Wind. "Stay away of him! Dont hurt my brothers! Or i will hurt you!" Wind took his hand away very fast and now it was quiet.
Now everyone looked at him and all he heared now was a soft crackle of a campfire. Until Wind broke the silence.
"Hyrule? You speak Fae right? What did it say?" He carefully asked his friend next to him.
"Hmm it speaks a difficult dialect but i think it wanted something with her brothers." He said thinking. But Hyrule was interrupted.
"It said 'Stay away of him. Dont hurt my brothers or i will hurt you.'" Horror Kid flinched when suddenly a tall man stood next to him. It was the man with the strange scary facemarks. Without armour. The man looked nice but scary at the same time.
"Hey Time, i didnt knew you can speak Fae. When did you learn that?" Wind said with a smile.
The facemarked man, Time, laughed. "Well thats another story. Maybe i can tell you someday." Horror Kid noticed that Taya was staring at Time since he exactly translated her threat.
"Hey! Dinner is finished!" The man with the long hair called the others and all of them went towarts the campfire. Except Time. He was still standing next to Horror Kid. "What are you waiting for? Wild has cooked enough for you and your Fairies too."
He was allowed to join? He only was really accepted by the Kokiri several time ago. Yeah, the Kokiri... He had never really seen them again since one of them left. This one Kokiri and another Kokiri girl was his first really best friends.
They were often playing in the woods. Hide and seek or making music together. But at one morning his friend was another person. He was more sad and crying than happy like he usually was. He didnt even knew what happened with his friend. Instead of making music of the woods together he often played other songs Horror Kid had never heared before. Often more sad songs. Once he carved a picture of a little Fairy into the bark of a tree. He was a Kokiri without a Fairy but that never really disturbed him, but at this time, he seemed like he missed something. Then one day, the broken Kokiri left the woods and never came back...
The only memory Horror Kid had left from his friend was like a treasure for him. He always took it with him.
He stared at Time who was just nodding. Then he went to the campfire and the long haired man gave him a bowl. It was filled with something that smelled delicious. And it tasted wonderful! They all were sitting around the campfire and telling stories and jokes. Horror Kid was just listening to them and his Fairies were siting on the edge of the bowl in his hands. While her brother was eating a bit of the soup Taya was staring away all the time. She was staring at Time. Still.
Then Sky talked to Horror Kid. "Ok you know im Sky right? And theese are all my friends. You should know a few of them by now. They are Wild," he looked at the man with the long hair. "Four," He now pointed onto the small hero with the colorful tunic. "Legend and Warriors," the grumpy and the scarf guy. "Hyrule and Wind," he pointed at the nice boys in blue and green before. "And Time and Twilight." He already knew Time and the man with the black marks on his forehead must be Twilight.
"Its nice to meet you all! A few of you even remind me of an old friend. I dont know where he is but someday i will see him again." When he said this words, he thought of his friend gift and pulled it out of his hat. It was a mask. A scary one but he liked it. It was a skull mask. This mask was the beginning of his love for masks. He almost colected them. Until he found a real scary one. A real nightmare.
"Hey whats this? A mask? Cool!" Wind said when he saw it. Not like Time. He saw the mask and seemed almost a bit sad. But then he smiled either.
"Yes, its the only thing i have left from my friend. This mask and a few cool songs on my flute."
He put on his mask and pulled out his flute. Then he started to play a happy song. Horror Kid then even started to dance. He danced and played music like he would do at home or with the Kokiri. Sky even pulled out his harp and tried to play the song too. Later even Time took out an instrument and joined them.
When Horror Kid heared Times playing, he felt like home with Link and Saria.

Generations Pt. 8
Previous / Masterlist
Pairing: Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier x Taya/OC
Warnings: Sexual situations aka smut
Word Count: 1682
Square Filled: Quickie
Summary: Raising an enhanced child and dealing with their own baggage hasn’t left much time for Bucky and Taya to take their relationship to the next level. Maybe if they’re quick?
A/N: @star-spangled-bingo  @avengerscompound @lillianfromaccounting@patzammit @mumbles411 @until-theend-oftheline @nikkimarie (If you’d like to be tagged just ask)
“Tony’s alpaca tried to follow us home.” Bucky paused at Natasha’s office door where she and Taya were looking over files.
“Wait, when did he get an alpaca?” Nat frowned.
“He didn’t say, but his name is Gerald. He also said he got some good footage of Delilah talking, or whatever, to the animals.” Bucky shifted Delilah on his hip.
“Hi.” Delilah waved to them.
“Hi. Do you need any help?” Taya offered.
“Nah, I think I can handle a bath and story.” Bucky smiled and bounced the toddler.
“Okay, I’m almost done here so I’ll be up in a while.” Taya waved as they left.
“I think we’ve learned all we can from this stuff.” Nat leaned back in her chair and crossed her arms over her chest. “Wanda is coming back sometime this week to give an expert opinion.”
“I wish that second thumb drive would decrypt faster.” Taya looked over to where a screen was running numbers.
“Whatever that is, they wanted to make sure it never got out. I heard she’s talking Latin now.” Nat tapped her nails on her arm. “That’s useful.”
“Not when it’s toddler gibberish...or when you’re half asleep. I had a nightmare that I was in ‘The Exorcist’. Bucky had to wake me up.” Taya grimaced as Nat gave her a triumphant look. “Nat, don’t.”
“So he had to wake you up? Why, could he hear you from his room?” Nat asked. “Or was he maybe in your bed?”
“I think you know the answer already, or you wouldn’t be so annoying about it. Yes, we have been sleeping in each other’s rooms.” Taya stopped her as she opened her mouth. “Just sleeping, smartass.”
“Why be shy? You two are grown-ups, what you do is your business.” Nat shrugged.
“Not being shy. I kissed him the night before we went on the mission-”
“That was almost two months ago.”
“Okay, so we’ve kissed since then. And we sleep in the same bed most nights.”Taya leaned her head back to stare at the ceiling. “But it’s awkward.”
“With your kid across the hall or the fact that both of you are coming off a dry spell?” Nat asked.
“I wasn’t considering that Delilah might hear us, but thank you for that. And it’s not exactly a dry spell.” Taya lowered her gaze and stared at Nat. Something unspoken passed between them.
“Well, this time you get to do it for fun.” Nat teased.
“Being trained to use your sexuality and only using it to get information, or to kill someone, is a big hurdle to get over. I know that Bucky-”
“Let’s not get into that. Because I do plan on having sex later and you’re not spoiling my mood.” Nat held a hand out to Taya to stop. “As I said, this is for fun and it can be fun. Trust me. So much fun. Multiple.”
“That’s good, thank you.” Taya was laughing. “You go have your fun.”
“Oh, I will.” Nat raised an eyebrow and started to collect her things.
-
“She’s asleep and she doesn’t smell like alpaca anymore.” Bucky greeted Taya in her room. She was writing down some questions she wanted to ask Wanda and set the tablet aside.
“That’s...good?” Taya frowned.
“I mean, I lived with goats so I can’t talk. But that alpaca was damn fluffy. I kinda want one now.” Bucky’s forehead wrinkled in thought.
“Come here, you weirdo.” Taya pushed the blankets back and Bucky climbed in. He made himself comfortable, letting his head sink into the pillow. Taya rolled on her stomach and used her elbows to prop herself up next to him.
“What?” He asked, looking up at her. Taya leaned forward and locked her lips with his. “Oh.” He mumbled.
Taya grabbed the front of Bucky’s shirt and pulled his body flush with hers. He rolled over, taking most of his weight on his metal arm, pinning her to the mattress.
Taya combed her fingers through his hair, tilting her head to allow his tongue access between her lips. He definitely knew how to kiss. His tongue moved in her mouth, tasting and teasing. Taya shook a leg free and wrapped it around Bucky’s thigh, pulling his lower half closer. She could feel the firm line of him, pulsing against her. Taya pushed her hips up, pressing the apex of her thighs to him. Bucky could feel the heat. He thought of how hot, how wet she would be enveloping him.
Bucky broke the kiss and moved his mouth across her jaw to her neck, sucking a spot just by her ear. He’d learned a lot about her body the nights they’d spent together. He knew what she liked, he also knew it was likely one of them would stop this before it met its conclusion.
There was frustration, but he knew that Taya’s experience with sex was always in the confines of work. He had not been comfortable enough to engage in it since he was unfrozen. So they both walked away, usually.
“Did you turn on Delilah’s music?” Taya’s eyes were partially rolled back, Bucky was working on that spot by her ear. He mumbled what sounded like ‘yes’ and continued what he was doing.
Taya removed a hand from his hair and slipped it between them. She used her palm to caress his cock and he groaned into her ear. It sent a shiver through her and she pushed her hand under his waistband to be skin to skin. She moved her hand along his velvety length, he was definitely well equipped.
Bucky felt Taya take him in her hand and his hips jerked involuntarily. Her hand was soft as she explored him. His free hand traced her collarbone as he moved his mouth back over hers. The hand caressed one breast over the material of her shirt, his thumb grazing the nipple. She made a noise of appreciation and his hand moved to the hem of her shirt, drifting up under it over her ribs and to her breast once again.
“Can we do this? Or should we be doing this?” Bucky pulled away from their kiss. Taya was still stroking him and it was taking an amazing amount of restraint to stop and talk. His hand continued to work her breast, rolling the nipple to a peak.
“I think we can. Yeah.” Taya’s breathing was picking up. The desire was pooling in her belly and she had to let go of Bucky as he shifted lower. He pulled her shirt over her head and his mouth was on her nipple. He switched between his hand and mouth on each breast. That same skill he showed with his kisses was shown there.
Taya felt like she was blushing all over, her skin was heated. When he stopped and touched her through her shorts she almost came immediately. She gripped his wrist and looked at him with wide eyes.
“Get a condom out of the drawer.” Taya nodded to the bedside table.
“I wondered why those were there.” He teased. Taya laughed as she caught her breath. Bucky pulled his shirt off with one hand as Taya pushed his drawstring pants down his hips. She lifted her hips and pushed her own shorts off to the floor.
Bucky watched Taya as he got the condom and put it on. She lay back on the pillows after divesting her shorts and looked at him with interest. He was a little worried because of the extensive scarring on his body, but her eyes moved over him greedily.
“Wow.” She mumbled as he finished with the condom and moved back over her.
“Wow?” Bucky asked.
“You’re just pretty, all of you.” Taya pushed his hair off his face with her hands and pulled him into a kiss.
Bucky brought a hand to her clit and brushed a thumb over it. He eased a finger into her, she was ready but not quite to the point where she could take him. He continued to toy with her clit, using one then two fingers to work her open. Taya was making noises of satisfaction into his mouth. The muscles in her legs were twitching and her body went rigid as she jerked away from his mouth with a moan. He took his fingers from her and kissed her neck as her climax passed. He positioned himself between her legs and she locked her legs around his middle, trying to pull him down.
“Hey, stop rushing me.” He chuckled.
“Sorry, sorry.” She panted and relaxed a little. Bucky put his forehead to hers and entered her slowly.
Taya kept reminding herself to relax, she wasn’t on a mission. This wasn’t about anything but them being together. This was for both of them. With a sigh Bucky fully seated himself in her. Taya linked her arm around his neck as he started to move. Almost completely withdrawing from her, then sinking back in.
Bucky concentrated on his rhythm, adjusting his hips to find the spots that made Taya release gasps and moans.
Taya was still sensitive from the first climax, she was right on the edge again as he moved faster. She pressed her cheek to his and was breathing nonsense in his ear. How good this felt, how she was lucky to be with him. Bucky jerked and Taya felt his muscles clench and relax as he came. Feeling the tension leave his body she orgasmed again, the weight of his body adding to the sensation.
He pushed up with his good arm, realizing he'd collapsed on her
"Did I crush you?" He panted
"Yeah, but I think I liked it." Taya's head fell into the pillow, Bucky put his forehead on the pillow next to her.
"Okay then." He mumbled into the pillow.
Bucky couldn't really explain how he felt at that moment, he was totally relaxed in what seemed like the first time in a very fucking long time.
"Natasha is right, that is fun," Taya said in a sleepy voice.
"Huh?"

Impact Wrestling Rebellion 2019 Review
Night began with a six man scramble. We had Petey Williams, Jake Crist, Aiden Prince, Ace Austin, Cousin Jake, and Eddie Edwards. No real reward for winning here, but it would be a big victory. The announcers seemed to be implying that this match would be important in the X-Division. The big spots started right out of the gate, with Crist intercepting Austin’s suicide dive with a cutter onto a pile of opponents. Crist was actually all over the place, drilling people with huge DDT’s and cutters all over the place. Austin as well was flying around with well placed kicks to all of his opponents. Jake was the powerhouse of the match, coming in to deliver huge power moves when the action was low. The finish came very quickly, with Williams hitting Jake with a Canadian destroyer, but Austin slid in and rolled up Williams for the win.
Grade: C-. Fine match, very spotty, not really long enough. Jake Crist and Ace Austin really shined, but everyone else felt very left out. Prince and Edwards in particular only really got one spot each, with Edwards hitting a tiger driver and Prince hitting a 450. The physicality of the match may be enough for some people to put it on the positive side, but they just didn’t give it enough time, nor was there much of a story here. A couple side stories converged here, especially between Austin and Williams, but we didn’t need this many people in a match to further that story. If you are gonna book a match with this many people, then you need to give it ample time. There was less than 6 minutes here, so each wrestler literally had less than a minute to do something memorable. That would be impossible. This match was doomed from the start.
Then there was an ad for Impact+, a new streaming service. Very exciting.
Next was another new match on the card, Scarlet Bordeaux vs Rohit Raju. This was a pretty basic inter gender match, with Raju being a dick and not taking her seriously. Raju had the win early on with a snap suplex, but he pulled her back off the mat. Not long after, Bordeaux was able to lock in a cross face, with Raju nearly tapping out but powered out of the hold. Scarlet was able to get the win after hitting a low blow while Fallah Bahh distracted the ref, and then a package pildriver for the win.
Grade: D. Bordeaux really isn’t all that good, and this match was so easily telegraphed that I called her getting a win with a low blow from the beginning. Raju did his best selling and such, but this match was heavily held back by its own “gimmick.” Not really worth watching.
Into the 6-man tag, Moose and The North against the Rascalz. Page and Alexander were actually cheered as they entered, possibly because of their affiliation with Canada. Heels has a huge size advantage. Rascalz started out with some high flying teamwork, hitting senton after senton to Moose, before Moose destroyed them after a kip up. Dez was destroyed for much of the beginning, but when they got the offense they hit some killer offense. Page was taken out after being hit with a pushed moonsault off the stage from Wentz. Moose then caught a suicide dive from Trey, powerbombing him into the barricade, before Dez came flying in with a senton, jumping off the back of Alexander on the stage. The Rascalz hit a series of offense of the top rope, only for Page to break it up with a crucifix bomb. Alexander then threw Wentz out of the ring onto Trey. Dez continued to get destroyed, being hit with a superkick, forearm, and then a pump kick. The North then destroyed him with an assisted fireman’s slam, and then a spear from moose for the win.
Grade: B+. This is how to have a flippy sprint of a match. Everyone had a chance to shine, with the Rascalz showing some of their high flying prowess, and the heels showing how good they could be in a prominent pay per view spot. Makes sense for the heels to pick up the win, builds up a new tag team and a new challenger for the world championship. I liked this a lot.
In an interview, Johnny Impact and Taya Valkyrie bullied Melissa Santos, and ultimately said that they would destroy their opponents. Simple stuff, but Santos is an awesome interviewer. She gives me Renee Young vibes, and hopefully she becomes just as big.
Into the Knockouts championship match, Jordynne Grace against Valkyrie. Grace attacked right at the bell, immediately dropping Valkyrie onto the apron twice for a near fall. Valkyrie targetted Grace’s arm throughout the match. Grace started to fight back, hitting Valkyrie with a lariat, but falling to the mat in pain from the injured arm. Grace continued to use her arms to attack, with one lariat after the other, but she just couldn’t keep it up. Valkyrie took advantage of that and hit the road to Valhalla for the win.
Grade: B-. This match was a bit slow, and really was just short of being bad. I liked the story of dissecting the arm, and having that come back to hurt Grace. Valkyrie played a great heel here, and nevertheless got a clean win. It was just a very straightforward match that felt like it should have been on TV, given how much limb work was in it. But I was into the story, so good on them for crafting a narrative.
Another interview from Santos, this time with Gail Kim. Kim said that she is coming back to the ring to teach Tessa Blanchard a lesson. A lesson that no one is willing to teach them themselves. She wouldn’t listen to Kim as an agent, so maybe she will listen as an opponent.
And next up was Rich Swann against Sami Callihan for the X-Division championship, under OvE rules. The rest of OvE, including their new heavy, are banned from ringside. As Swann came down, he was not dancing at all, dead serious, opening the match with a series of quick strikes. Swann wasted no time getting extreme, stapling Callihan several times in he opening stretch. Callihan returned the favor with a staple to the mouth the second he got the staple gun. Callihan countered a suicide dive with a brutal shot with a steel sheet to the face. Callihan even countered a crossbody by catching Swann, and drilling him into a seated chair with an exploder suplex. Swann shocked the crowd with how sadistic he could be, licking Callihan’s blood, and nailing Callihan with a series of kicks while his head was in a garbage can. Swann also used the stipulation to aid his flying offense, swinging off part of the set into a hurricanrana, and also nailing a handspring cutter on the stage. Callihan has a bit of railing set up between the stage and ring steps, and ended up piledriving Swann onto it for a near fall. Swann was on the top rope locking for a splash, but Callihan countered with a hand full of salt to the eyes, and then piledriver him off the top and onto a pile of legos for a crazy near fall. Callihan introduced a barbed ware baseball bat into the match, but Swann got it after a hitting a low blow, tapping Callihan out with a cross face using the bat.
Grade: B. Pretty good match, with some absolutely brutal death match spots. I wasn’t sure how much Swann’s offense would translate into a style like this, but he worked pretty well. My biggest problem with the match was simply that they didn’t play up their rivalry enough. This match was one of the best built on the whole card, but I didn’t feel as much emotion as I thought I would. They didn’t really tap into it until the end, when Callihan begged Swann to have mercy on him. With that little bit more of storytelling, and possibly a bit more wrestling before they got into all the deathmatch stuff, this could have been a really great match.
Another interview, this time with Blanchard. She said that she doesn’t need to respect anyone who doesn’t deserve it. Tully Blanchard showed up out of nowhere, saying that he fully supported his daughter, and that she needed this win. Well alrighty then.
We went right into that match next, Gail Kim against Tessa Blanchard. This was a brawl from the bell, and it was Blanchard’s strength against Kim’s speed. Blanchard hit a brutal codebreaker off of the middle rope for a near fall. This really felt like the two hated each other, with a bit of extra emphasis on each of the strikes. The two even brawled on the ring steps, with Tessa going face first into the post. After a big splash out of the corner from Kim, the crowd erupted into well deserved “you still got it” chants. The two brawled on the stage, and Blanchard used her signature reverse dragon suplex spot to throw Kim off the stage. Kim was able to hit Blanchard with eat defeat after countering a slingshot suplex, but only a near fall. As Kim locked in a dragon sleeper on the top rope, Blanchard countered by biting her arm, and then hitting magnum for another near fall. Blanchard then immediately locked in a sort of cobra clutch on the mat, and Kim had no choice but to tap out. After the match, Blanchard offered a handshake, but Kim came in with a hug. Blanchard was balling her eyes out, so happy to get the torch passed to her. Kim was in the ring and soaked up the applause, in what could easily be her last match. And it was a hell of a match to go out on.
Grade: A-. This was a brutal match for a brutal feud. All the hatred that built between the two in the preceding weeks was addressed here. They brought the fight to each other with as much as they possibly could. The adversity between the two was real, and it was awesome to see the two get to show what they had. The showcase at the end was very sweet, but it kinda took me out of the whole “hate each other” thing. But it was clearly a huge moment for Blanchard, the biggest win she’s ever had, so I understand why she couldn’t contain herself.
Cage cut a weirdly quick promo about how he will do anything to beat down Impact tonight. Their friendship was long gone, and he wants to show him that he is the better man.
And that world championship match was next, Brian Cage against Johnny Impact with Lance Storm as the referee. Another match that started right at the bell, with Cage destroying Impact with tackles, kicks, a German Suplex and an F5 for a near fall right out of the gate. Then he hit a buckle bomb, and a deadlift vertical suplex off the apron and into the ring for another near fall. He went for another deadlift, but Impact fought out and hit an incredible German suplex. Impact then took the fight to the stage, and hit a Spanish fly off the the ramp and onto the floor. At some point, Cage did a blade job, probably after being thrown into the barricade. Actually, looking at his head, Cage May have cut open the top of his head, but either way, he was bleeding like a stuck pig. As the two brawled, Valkyrie and the crooked ref Bravo set up a table for Impact on the outside. Impact had Cage set up for a Starship Pain through the table, but Cage got up and powerbombed Impact through the table. Bravo tried to get involved, but Cage caught him. Impact hit Cage with the belt in the back, only for Valkyrie to pull Storm out of the ring, and Impact nailed him with a dropkick to the outside. Impact then played possum in the ring, with Valkyrie pretending that she hit Cage with the belt. Cage drilled her with a powerbomb, only for Impact to grab the belt and hit Cage with it. Bravo then ran in the ring, with a ref’s shirt on, and Impact hit the Starship Pain, but Cage kicked out! Storm ran back in the ring, and superkicked Bravo. He was about to disqualify Impact, but Cage stopped him. Cage then hit Impact with a superkick of his own, and the drill claw to finally win the Impact world championship.
After the match, Michael fucking Elgin showed up debuting in Impact, and he seemed to challenge Cage for his belt. He attacked Cage with a backfist and a spinning powerbomb. Seems like we have the next big opponent for Cage.
Grade: B-. This was fucking wild. Huge moves all over the place, and while it seemed slow at times, the big moves more than made up for it. That finishing sequence was all over the place, but it seemed to tick all the boxes. Impact got comeuppance with a powerbomb through a table and losing his belt. Valkyrie ate a rough powerbomb, and Bravo was hit with a superkick. However, everything that was leading up to that finish, apart from the opening sequence, seemed like it slowed down too much. I think that Cage looked a bit weak, even in his victory, because he didn’t have he advantage much after he started bleeding. But still, his win was the right choice. I wouldn’t have had Elgin beat him down right after his big win, his first big win at that, but it will probably be an awesome match. I was wondering where Elgin went, and this is a huge acquisition for Impact. Also, they used to be a tag team in PWG, so maybe they will bring that up. The finish, while entertaining, was a bit overbooked and had too many twists and turns to really keep up with. A bit tough to grade this one, but I think that the loss of momentum and the flurry of stuff happening in the latter half of the match hurt it a bit for me.
In the clubhouse, LAX were prepared for their match in the main event. Kennan called the full metal mayhem match a Mexican standoff, which is weird because it is nothing like a Mexican standoff, other than the fact that it is a standoff amongst Mexicans. Maybe I’m stupid, because I was thinking about that so much that I missed the rest of the promo.
And in the main event, the Lucha Bros took on LAX for the Impact Tag Team Championships, in Full Metal Mayhem. Once again, LAX attacked before the bell with stereo dives. Fenix and Pentagon responded with dives of their own, sending everyone through tables. The Lucha Bros hit their classic double superkick spot, but Satanna’s head was in a trash can this time. LAX hit their team combo, but Fenix broke up the pin with a big diving dropkick, and then fended them both off with a series of kicks. At one point, Ortiz had Fenix up for a draping cutter into a couple set up chairs, and Santana assisted with a double stomp to Fenix’s head, for a near fall. The four met in the middle of the right, nailing each other with elbow strikes while just sitting in chairs. Konnan involved himself after this, passing Ortiz and Santana a couple forks. LAX set up a bunch of chairs near the corner, only for the Lucha Bros to use it against them with a terrifying fear factor into the chairs, but Santana kicked out! Fenix looked pretty busted up during the match, and even Don Callis and Josh Mathews on commentary pointed out that his left arm looked limp. Lax had a table set up on the ramp, and Ortiz tried to put Pentagon through it with something off a ladder, but Fenix walked the top rope and drove him through it with the scariest Spanish fly that I have ever seen. Fenix under rotated, and landed on his fucking head and somehow he could still walk. Back in the ring, Santana ate a Pentagon driver through a chair, but still kicked out. Then came the thumb tacks. Pentagon spread them out on a pair of tables. Pentagon and Santana battled atop a ladder, teasing who would go through them. It seemed like Santana would do the honors, but Ortiz ran in to make the save, putting Pentagon in a powerbomb position. Santana helped out his partner by stabbing Pentagon in the head with a fork, and Ortiz blasted Pentagon through the tables and the tacks. That was what did it, and LAX began their forth title reign as the tag champs.
After the match, Fenix could barely stand up straight. Konnan decided to squash the hate, saying that they are family. They all embraced, and then the faces of the roster came out to pay their respects.
Grade: A. One of the most terrifying matches I have ever seen. The spots were so sick, everything was scary as hell, and it was car crash TV at its finest. This was as much of a war as their feud needed, and it was a hell of a blowoff. I hope that Fenix is okay, because that was a scarier spanish fly than Will Ospreay last year. The embrace at the end made a lot of sense as well. They started this feud as friends, and that was how they ended it. Great match through and through, easily the best Impact match in years. Match of the night for sure.
Overall Grade: B-
Pros: Good commentary; 6-man tag; X-Division Championship; Blanchard vs. Kim; Main Event
Cons: Way too short of an opener; Bordeaux vs. Raju
On a note that I wanted to be completely separate from the review, why wasn’t anyone disqualified for using the tables in the main event? They aren’t made of metal, so they shouldn’t be legal. Just saying.

Somehow Chris had managed to get my ticket where my seat would be next to his. When we got to the airport there was shockingly no paparazzi anywhere. Chris was wearing his hat and sunglasses, keeping his head down with his arm wrapped around my shoulders as we walked to our gate. Once we were on the plane and in our seats, Chris had closed the curtain, taking off his hat and sunglasses.
“So how’d you manage to get my seat next to yours and such short notice?” He grinned, shrugging his shoulders. “I’m Chris Evans.”
I laughed, shaking my head. “You literally came out here on a whim didn’t you?” He looked up at me shaking his head. “I did. I told you, you were ignoring me and I was worried so I came out here when the time became available.” “I wasn’t ignoring you Chris. I just needed some “me” time.” “Which involved worrying me to death.” I shook my head, glaring in his direction. “I’m sorry okay? Is that what you want to hear? I’m sorry. I’m sorry for ignoring you and making you worry. I’m sorry you had to take a leave of absence from work and come here to make sure I was still alive. I’m sorry you had to ask me to come with you to Atlanta. I’m just sorry.” “I’m not. I didn’t have to ask you to come with me, I wanted you to come with me. There’s a difference.” “Still, I’m sorry.”
He hummed, and I cast a glance towards him, seeing he was already looking at me.
“You don’t have to be sorry. Like I said earlier, I care about you.” “You were filming though. Your bosses must hate me.” Chris shook his head, leaning forward and grabbing my hand.
“They don’t. I told you I took two days off to come and make sure my friend was ok. Stop over thinking everything and just have fun.” I shook my head, grinning up at Chris. “I’m always going to over think things, it’s who I am.” He laughed, squeezing my hand before he leaned back in his chair.
“Get some sleep, it’s a long flight.”
I nodded, moving around in my seat so I could get comfortable before I closed my eyes, letting sleep consume me.

Formers (3)
A quick update on this wip
Warnings: blood(?), grammar mistakes.
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•
The wind blew what was left from the leaves on the almost naked trees around the cold watered lake. The dark sky ceiling cued of a later time of the day, also letting the white stars to shine aside with the moon down to light Lance’s sight.
Lance pulled the jacket around his body into a hug in need to get warmer from the cold wind brushing on his skin. He shivered and straightened up his head to look around.
But there was no sign of any other creature. He could see his blue bike parked next to the metal fence of the road near by, and the dark blue water of the lake he stood in front of. The trees that surrounded his every exit except from the one to the open road stood and from time to time fell over a bit from the strong cold wind.
Lance sighed and took his phone out of one of his jacket pockets. It immediately powered on from noticing movements and showed Lance the lock screen. Lance checked the time.
22:34.
He sighed again and put his phone back into his pocket, starting to walk over to his bike.
He didn’t know if to be relieved or disappointed. He wanted to know what was wrong with him, and why all this pain is becoming stronger and stronger with each day. But he was also afraid. Afraid of that creepy girl that showed next to his hospital bed a few days ago, afraid of what will happen, afraid that she’s just crazy and she does not know anything.
Afraid of what she’ll say.
Maybe it’ll be true? Maybe she’s not crazy? Maybe she can help him figure out the pain he had to suffer from, for all of his childhood and now. He didn’t know what to think, he didn’t know what to do.
That was until a cold hand reached his shoulder, but it also felt like it burned his skin.
Lance felt it, he felt that instinct, kick inside of him and take control over his tired form. He felt like his whole body lit on fire as it also met with the cold air of the outside world.
That something burned inside of him, it wanted so desperately to jump out of Lance and take over his body. Lance felt that something’s need of killing the one threatening him, like it powered up out of nothing.
And for a split second, he saw a welcoming face when he turned around.
For that split second, all of these feelings ached in Lance’s bones and chest.
So when that split second, happened, and his vision became unfocused and his legs weakened, he threw a punch over to the person in front of him and stumbled to the ground.
He was shaking as he held himself up from the dirt underneath him. He turned his head slowly to see the person who Lance punched (or was supposed to), only to meet with nothing but black smoke.
“What the hell.”
Lance turned his head to the other side, to where the voice came from. He hissed when it ached even more with the movement and sat backwards on his knees.
“And I thought I was the violent one.”
Lance slowly opened his eyes to see a hand reaching down to him. He looked up to the person.
“Ugh... Taya?” He asked, blinking again to make sure he’s not dreaming. She nodded and took Lance’s hand from his grip on his head, pulling him up to stand.
“Wha...” Lance looked around, he was still in the same place. His bike a few feet away from him and the lake was still shining from the moonlight. “You...” he turned to Taya, who had a confused expression on her face.
“I waited half an hour for you!! Where have you been?! It’s freaking cold!!” Lance jumped back as he threw his arms in the air. “Sorry, I had to bring my mom.” She said and pointed with her thumb backwards on a short lady with a yellow coat and dark brown hair.
Lance flinched and leaned forward to whisper to Taya. “W-why is she here?”
“You said you wanted answers didn’t you? So don’t question anything.” Taya raised her eyebrow and turned over to her mom. “Ready when you are.”
Her mom nodded and walked over to the lake. She closed her eyes and raised her hands above the water.
“How am I supposed to get answers if I can’t question anything?” Lance murmured under his breath, but noticed Taya’s mother working on whatever she did, and Taya starting to step over to her.
“No, wait, Taya.” Lance caught her by her wrist and pulled her back. She turned back to him with an annoyed look. Lance took a deep breath. “Can I... ask? Just a few questions!! Before we go...? To wherever you gonna take me?”
She shrugged. “Fine, I guess I would have wanted to ask something too if a stranger would tell me they know the solution to my problems. Go ahead.”
Lance sighed with relief. “Ok, first, why did you want me to meet you here?” He said, and as the question left his mouth he stumbled back and gasped. “Are you going to kill me?!”
“What?”
“No!! I don’t wanna die!! I’m too young! I- I didn’t get to meet my future partner and- and, I haven’t finished school yet! And my mom! Oh god, she’s gonna be so freaked out-“
“Lance!!” Taya snapped, which caused Lance to stop talking and look in horror into her eyes. “I’m not going to kill you, idiot. I told you to meet me here because that’s our only way to enter there.”
Lance relaxed. His shoulders fell back as he sighed and held his head. “Wait... where exactly is it, there?” He asked when Taya’s answer repeated in his mind. “I can’t... exactly explain, but you’ll need to trust me.” She said and crossed his arms.
“Any other questions?” She said impatiently. Lance nodded quickly. “Why can’t you just tell me what’s wrong with me?” He hugged himself again, closing the jacket around his chest. “Because I don’t know exactly, what’s wrong with you. But I know what is happening to you.” Lance raised his eyebrow in confusion. “I don’t get it.”
“Of course you don’t!” She laughed. “Ugh, you stupid humans.” After that she turned around and started walking over to her mom. “What’s that supposed to mean?!” Lance ran after her. She grinned but didn’t answer.
Now the two stood near the short woman, that apparently was Taya’s mother. Lance looked at her and noticed her eyes were closed and her hands started to shine in red color as the lake did. He gasped at the blood color the lake turned into and held into Taya’s arm, but she quickly pulled away with a growl.
Lance looked at her mother again, and she snapped her eyes open, the same red color appearing in her eyeballs. Then it calmed down and her eyes turned to the gold-ish color it was before. She took her arms down when the color disappeared from her hands but didn’t left the lake and turned to face Taya. “Be safe, sweetie.” And Taya crouched so her mother would give her a forehead kiss. “I will mom.” Taya hugged her mother. “Thank you.” She continued.
“And be more gentle with the boy.” She whispered into her ear as the two hugged, and Taya rolled her eyes. “No promises.”
Her mother chuckled and pulled away from the hug, a hand still resting on Taya’s shoulder. “Say hello to your mother for me.” She smiled softly but with pain in her eyes and her daughter nodded.
They let go of each other and her mother backed away, letting Taya look down to the lake and then turn to Lance. “Alright pretty boy, we’re gonna jump into that lake.” She said and Lance grinned, “Aw, you called me pretty bo- wait what?” but it faded away really fast.
“We are gonna go for a swim.” She was the one to grin now. “As much as I like swimming, it’s freaking cold and being sick isn’t actually as fun as it sounds.” Lance backed away from the lake, but Taya caught his wrist. “I thought you wanted to find the truth.” She said while looking into his eyes with a serious look. Lance nodded slowly. “Great,” She let go. “Then I suggest you’ll take off your coat.”
As she turned around to look into the red watered lake, Lance was studying her back. Was she serious? Was she crazy?
He shrugged. Guess there’s only one way of finding out.
“Ok.” Taya turned to Lance, her back to the lake. “I’m gonna disappear for a while, but we’ll meet on the other side, aye?” She winked and leaned backwards into the lake before Lance could respond, her arms are open to the sides as her back met the red water and she disappeared like she was never there.
“What the-?!” Lance jumped away from the lake, eyes looking in horror at the waves in the lake that were caused by Taya’s body who was swallowed by the water into nothing. A small hand reached for his shoulder and his whole body lit on fire again, but it calmed down when the woman gripped his shoulder a bit stronger and one of her fingers pressed on his neck. He calmed down.
“Everything is going to be ok.” Taya’s mom talked quietly with a soft smile. Lance turned to her, terrified. “How did you-“ She laughed. “Calmed your senses? It doesn’t matter right now.” Her eyebrows fell along with her face into a worried expression. “What does matter is that you need to find who you are, Lance.” She let go of his shoulder and held her hands together, close to her body. “Do as she did and I promise you, you won’t regret that.”
Lance breathes were fast as he looked down to Taya’s mom, but took a deep breath and closed his eyes, letting the situation sink in his mind and repeat over and over again. He opened his eyes and rubbed his face to make sure it was all real, and then turned to the red lake.
“Ok,” He whispered, mostly to himself. “You can do this.” He murmured as he stepped slowly over to the lake. “Just take a deep breath, in and out.” He did as his own orders until he stood a feet in front of the lake.
He looked down to the bright red liquid that reminded him of blood, or tomato juice. He couldn’t decide. He leaned forward a bit more and noticed his own reflection, but instead his regular blue eye, his two whole eyeballs were bright white and he had something in his back. Lance flinched and pulled his head back. He can do this, he can do this he can do this he can do this he can do this-
One last deep breath.
Lance turned around so his back was to the lake and his arms opened wide. He closed his eyes and opened them, taking a last glance on the waving woman holding his coat that somehow she got. He let his legs free and for his feet to leave their grip on the ground, and he fell backwards. Into the water.

Impact Homecoming thoughts
Tumblr media
Hey, I ordered this on the Fite TV app! Where the hell is my calendar??
Anyway, here we go:
I enjoyed this show! I watched it along with @ioplokon via the magic of the Internet, and it was a lot of fun. I see the usual Impact naysayers online are saying the relative lack of Twitter chatter about this show indicates the Company That Wouldn’t Die is in great peril, but I spent years predicting the demise of TNA only to be proven wrong every single time. I will say that the timing of this PPV was not spectacular: mere days after Wrestle Kingdom, and following two weeks of clip shows on TV. Oh, and it cost $40. The old PPV model is dead dead dead, and even ROH has adjusted its plans accordingly. I am a lunatic with a reasonably generous disposable income, so I bought it, but how many people like me are there?
I am glad that they announced their weekly show, which is moving to the TV wilderness (literally, it’s a wilderness channel) of Pursuit, will also be simulcast for free on Twitch. I don’t know what that means about the current financial viability of the company, but it does mean, in the short term, I can actually watch Impact in real time. And Impact’s been really good for a solid year!
Thoughts on the show:
* Fun opener! Putting Ethan Page in the X Division championship scramble thing was a great idea, because he brings a different feel to a match that otherwise would likely feel like a cruiserweight showdown. Page probably should have won, honestly. Having Swann win is ... uh, whatever. Swann’s a good wrestler, but even without the Baggage, he’s never really been the guy to be the face of a division. He was a solid midcard dude in PWG, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but I think that’s probably his top dollar best.
* What a trip it is seeing Jordynne Grace on a pay-per-view, even in an era when that model is pretty much dead! Ironically, I think this is the most money I’ve ever paid to see Jordynne Grace wrestle, and I’ve seen her in person like a billion times. She’s terrific. She’s a star in the making. This match also featured Su Yung, who I obviously adore. Her work doesn’t always translate in a TV match - she’s best as a brawler, and her greatest skill is absorbing inhuman amounts of punishment - and it was a little shaky here, but in general this was a fun match. I don’t 100 percent buy Allie as an Evil Creature of the Night, but she’s definitely thrown herself into the role. Rosemary returned at the end, kind of predictably, but it was still welcome.
* Willie Mack is great. Just so agile and nimble for a big man, and with gallons of natural charisma. I love watching him wrestle. I have never seen a Willie Mack match that is not, at least, a hoot. Sami Callihan is ... I don’t know. It feels like he’s kind of spinning his wheels. When he left NXT, there was a period like a year when he was on an absolutely ferocious tear, and that momentum has really just translated into a midcard villain job and a kevlar vest. Maybe he’s distracted by doing a million different things in wrestling, but it feels like a long time since he’s been a realistic choice as The Dude. On commentary, Josh Matthews says “Sami Callihan is treated like a god in Dayton, Ohio,” which, even if it is untrue (it is), tells us everything we need to know about Dayton.
* Eddie Edwards vs. Moose was a blast! So fun. Just a crazy, all-out war. Ioplokon aptly said it was like watching ROH in 2010. There were some genuinely bonkers spots in this match, moments where I thought, Gentlemen, ease up. I think Eddie’s never really gotten his due, but matches like this show he totally deserves to be considered part of the top rank of non-WWE wrestlers. Did it have kind of a goofy setup? Sure, it involved Raven in a mental institution. But I *like* goofiness. I watch professional wrestling. The name of this blog is taken from a thing Kevin Sullivan used to say while pretending to be a devil worshiper who conjured Mark Lewin out of the Atlantic Ocean. There should be more goofiness in wrestling. Also, Alisha Edwards showed up at the end of this match and nearly broke a dang kendo stick over Moose’s head.
* I just can’t get into Eli Drake. He seems like a character you have to face in a preliminary match on a wrestling video game. Just not my kind of wrestler. He beat Abyss in a Monster’s Ball match which was certainly a match that happened.
* The tag match between LAX and the Lucha Bros lived up to expectations as a completely crazy spot-filled sprint of total mayhem. I saw this matchup at Americanrana ‘17, and it was the only time I’ve seen people throw money into the ring. These guys are so well suited as opponents, and the crowd was absolutely cooking throughout the whole thing. A lot of fun. Watch it if you get the chance. LAX deserve to be huge stars.
* The women’s title match between Tessa Blanchard and Taya, with Gail Kim as referee, should have been the main event. There was a good story here, with the expected tension between Kim and Blanchard, and overall it just felt like more was at stake. I did NAWT agree with the finish, because Tessa should have lost clean, but it at least raises the tantalizing prospect of a Gail Kim feud with Tessa. I know Gail is “retired,” but wrestlers never retire.
* The main event happened! Tape Machines said on Twitter it looked like the kind of match where one wrestler is working through a case of the flu, and that’s about right. Everything felt weirdly disjointed and disconnected, not even a spotfest so much as a hastily assembled spot collection. They should have put the belt on Brian Cage, but for some reason they didn’t. Killer Kross came out after and beat up Johnny and Taya. I guess we’re getting a Killer Kross feud with Johnny Impact, which, uh ... listen, Impact is better than it’s been in a long time but it’s still a work in progress, OK?

Rise of a Queen - Nikolai Lantsov x OC PART 10
Tumblr media
"What?"
Taya didn't quite know how to process Nikolai's last words. Surely they must mean something else. Silence hung in the air, as the winds around them began to pick up. It just wasn't clear whether they had come naturally or whether Taya had subconsciously used her powers.
"I said, a Queen doesn't bow.", Nikolai repeated, more seriously this time. What they had was fresh and new and he was probably rushing things, but he wasn't one to wait once his mind had latched onto an idea. Besides, Taya was the right one for the crown, he knew. She had shown intelligence and the willingness to give up everything for her country. At the same time, she could be passionate and understanding. And she was the perfect one for him.
"Stop teasing." She still didn't believe a word he said.
So he closed the short distance between them, grasping her hands in his. "I'm serious.", he insisted. "When we get back to Os Alta, marry me."
This should be the most joyous moment in her life. She had read about so many proposals in books and fairytales, but the reality of it was staggering. Taya was happy because this wasn't just a political move on his side now, but at the same time unsure, because it had come so suddenly.
"I love you, Nikolai.", she started.
"Oh Saints, this sounds like the beginning of a rejection...", he breathed out with a nervous chuckle.
"It's not a rejection.", Taya clarified. "It's more of an 'Are you sure? You should take your time to think about it'."
But Nikolai didn't need more time. The more he thought about it, the more certain he became that this was right. "I know what I want. I want you, Taya. As my wife and Queen."
She was far too susceptible to his charm, she realized. The way he looked at her now, so full of love and determination, while his hands held her securely, had her ready to say yes over and over again.
"I want to marry you.", she finally said. "I want to spend my life with you." His arms flew around her, ready to sweep her up, but she paused him for just a moment. "But first, let's solve the problems we have on our hands now. Your coronation and the Darkling."
Now he did lift her up, holding her tightly to himself and laughing happily. "Anything you want, my Queen."
_______________________________
Although Nikolai would have loved nothing more than to shout it out to the world, Taya convinced him to keep their engagement secret for now. Other things took priority and so their lives quickly fell back into a routine. They needed to continue preparations for a possible attack, while Alina practiced the Cut with Baghra.
During the two weeks that followed, Nikolai and Taya often made the journey to Os Alta and back to initiate Nikolai's reign. As she had expected, the shift of power wasn't that unwelcome at first. Nikolai had proven himself during the last months and so the generals and nobles were ready to pledge their allegiance. A proper coronation would have to wait, however, the event being far too open for an attack.
They celebrated in their small circle of friends, however, toasting to a better future for Ravka. If only the laughter and banter of that evening could have lasted forever...
________________________________
The attack came unexpectedly. They had all felt safe at the Spinning Wheel, hidden away in the mountains. But the Darkling had found them regardless and within minutes, they had Nichevo'ya raining down on them, tearing everything and everyone they could grab into pieces. It was a massacre just as bad as the one at the capital weeks ago.
"You need to get them into safety!", Nikolai had shouted for Taya, as children and injured soldiers and Grisha boarded the one aircraft they had managed to get ready. "Take them to the capital!"
She didn't want to. She wanted to stay behind and told him as much. "Do it for me.", he said, before pulling her into a kiss.
"Please be careful.", she whispered.
"I never am. That's what you love about me." Despite the chaos, she smiled.
As she summoned the wind, she felt a horrible knot form in her stomach. It wasn't right to leave. She turned to look back, seeing Gregori and Alexander standing next to Nikolai. The two Squallers had become fiercely loyal to him and were currently on the lookout for possible attackers. Yet although they had kept Nikolai safe before, Taya had a bad feeling this time. Something in her heart screamed that she would not see him again. Then the clouds blocked her vision, as she continued on to the newly fortified Little Palace in Os Alta.
_________________________________
"We saw the Darkling get close to him... And we haven't seen him since."
Taya sank to her knees at those words, the tears spilling out just a moment later. She was in the Grand Palace, in Nikolai's working chamber, where Genya and David were giving her a report. Or rather a retelling of the things they had seen.
Gregori and Alexander were there as well, one of them sporting a broken arm. They had given their own reports already, including the moment where they had been absorbed in a fight with several Nichevo'ya and had lost sight of their new Tsar.
Taya had never felt so empty. She didn't even hear anything else Genya said at this point. Something about Alina, Dva Stolba and a firebird. But what did it matter? The next thing she consciously realized was Genya by her side, trying to help her up, but she would not budge.
"Nikolai...", his name escaped her in a sob and more tears followed. She should have married him the day he had asked. She should have told him ten times a day how much she loved him. She should have... There were too many things she should have said and done. None of which she would get a chance for now.
"The generals are asking for you.", Sonya announced, as she walked into the room, before realizing the scene in front of her. She was being accompanied by Andrej, who was quick to dash forward.
"She is in no state to see them now.", he announced what everyone clearly saw already.
"Then I will go and speak to them." Zoya had kept back all this time, dealing with the situation in her own way.
"And what will you tell them?", Genya asked.
"The truth. That now is a time for mourning and that we will deal with all matters in three days' time." Head raised high, she turned on her heel and walked out, ready to handle the situation at hand.
"Taya, you need to get up.", Genya spoke gently. "Let Andrej bring you to your room."
No answer, just more tears and sobs. But she didn't fight when the Healer picked her up carefully, carrying her through the hallways towards Nikolai's chambers that everyone knew they had shared in recent times.
"Not a good idea.", Sonya pointed out and instead guided the small group back to the Little Palace, where Taya was placed in one of the empty rooms. They all deemed it better if she was not surrounded by his belongings right now.
Alexander and Gregori returned to their respective rooms, while David and Genya went to check on Zoya. Sonya took it upon herself to get some tea and food for Taya, while Andrej did a quick checkup. She was badly shaken and probably in shock, but there was nothing he could do for her. She was mourning and she would just need time.
____________________
Things got even worse when news reached that her family had died during their escape, leaving her orphaned as well. For three days Taya refused to touch food. Most of the time she would sit in bed, cry and keep her thoughts to herself. She would not push people away, but she wouldn't engage with them either. She was like a shell of a person, existing, but not really alive. The people around her tried everything they could to help her, but nothing seemed to work.
Therefore it was a surprise for everyone when, after a week, Taya suddenly appeared in the war room, where Zoya, Genya and David were speaking with the generals gathered there. She walked in quietly, her head raised high and looking royal in her dark blue dress and Squaller Kefta. All present bowed their head, as she announced: "Tell me what we have so far."
She was all business from that moment on. She coordinated war efforts, continued Nikolai's work on weapon production, and continuously evaluated news about the Darkling's and Alina's whereabouts. She took care of Ravka's finances and wrote letters to foreign diplomats and rulers in his name. Nobody questioned her or asked, whether she was entitled to fill that role. Instead, they all treated her like their acting ruler.
At night was the only time when she would show her true feelings. Maids would always find her pillow drowned in tears in the morning despite the sleeping potion she took every night to find peace in the first place. She also continued staying in the Little Palace, still unable to set foot into Nikolai's old chambers.
One night, when she was working late, calculating expenses, she thought she saw something pass in front of the window, but it was so dark, it was probably her mind playing tricks on her. From that moment on, she worked the nights in a windowless corner of the library.
Days passed, then weeks and eventually, the attack on the Spinning wheel happened more than a month ago. For those who had no one to mourn, life had become normal again in the capital and it showed when nobles suggested social events to pick up again. Taya allowed it, but never attended for more than five minutes to greet everyone. She was still all work and while the weapon production had accelerated formidably, her friends worried about her. Even Zoya, who had come to respect Taya's work ethic and dedication, knew that she was far from alright.
"We have news from Alina.", she announced one day, coming to the desk at the library that Taya had turned into her working corner.
"Good ones, I hope.", Taya said, as she continued to write a letter to a Kerch trader, they owed money to.
"Yes, they found the third amplifier and know where to attack the Darkling."
Those weren't the first good news, but certainly, the best in a while, and Taya even dropped her work and turned around to face the messenger.
"Very good. Make sure everything is prepared for their arrival and the attack. I will go myself as well."
"No." Zoya had never disagreed with her before and it startled Taya. "You cannot go. You are needed here.", the other Squaller continued. "We have lost one good ruler already. Ravka cannot lose another."
Taya should have been touched by such a clear compliment from none other than Zoya Nazyalensky, but it was not her forefront emotion.
"I want my revenge, Zoya."
"And you will get it. Through Alina.", the other said. "Take your revenge in a different way. Create a Ravka that the Darkling would have loved to build on fear and merzost and show him that he isn't needed."
She was right of course, but Taya hesitated. She would love nothing more than to take the dark one out with her bare hands, but that was impossible. Not even improbable, but truly unfeasible. This power belonged to Alina alone.
So eventually she nodded. "But please give the sun summoner any and all resources she may need. Provisions, weapons, men, or otherwise. She has my full support."
Zoya bowed and left.

As Bucky led you along into the kitchen of his childhood home, he never let go of the grip on your hand. You could still feel the weight of his lips on your own, and your head was spinning with emotions.
Now is not the time to act like it meant anything, Y/N. Get a hold of yourself. This is an act, nothing more…
What proved difficult for you seemed easy for Bucky, as his perfect smile cast a light on the entire room. He sure was convincing, and you found yourself hoping you were acting in the same manner. Quickly, you put a smile on your face you hoped looked legitimate, remembering Bucky telling you affectionately that you suffered from ‘resting bitch face’.
It wasn’t that you didn’t want to be there, finally meeting Bucky’s parents and helping out your best friend, but it was proving harder than you thought. The entire ride here you had prepared yourself for instances like this, and yet the kiss played over and over in your mind, like a broken record.
The inside of the Barnes home was even more beautiful on the inside than it was on the outside. Everything was perfectly decorated, and reeked of country charm. It was definitely homey, and you were glad it was where you were going to spend the next couple of days. As you were taking in your surroundings, and Winnie was grabbing a jug of homemade lemonade from the fridge, a man lumbered into the kitchen.
“Hi!” you exclaimed, finally letting go of Bucky’s hand and taking initiative. “You must be Mr. Barnes. My name is Y/N. It’s so nice to finally meet you.”
His eyes widened slightly, and he looked taken aback for a brief moment. George Barnes was balding at the top of his head, and soft crinkles appeared by his eyes as he smiled. You could tell he had a quiet demeanor, like Bucky, and this made you instantly warm up to him. Scanning his features you noticed that Bucky looked so much like him, and how handsome he was for his age. George extended his hand to you and shook yours.
“Ah, so you’re Y/N. Bucky has told us so much about you. It’s nice to finally put a face to a name. Welcome to our home.”
“Thank you, sir,” you answered, as Bucky beamed brighter than ever next to you. If he smiled any wider, his face was going to get stuck that way. “It’s a pleasure to be here. Thank you for inviting me.”
“Have you eaten?” Winnie asked, scooting a glass of lemonade towards you. You took a sip, letting the perfectly mixed sweet and sour liquid coat your dry throat.
“No, Mom. We haven’t. I’m starving. How about you, Y/N?” Bucky asked, as he placed his arm around your shoulder, pulling you close. For added effect, his leaned down and kissed the top of your head. You felt a warm, numbing sensation rocket down to your toes.
“Starving,” you choked out, putting down the glass of lemonade on the island before you dropped it.
“Wonderful!” Winnie exclaimed, clapping her hands together. “Please sit. I’ve already prepared dinner.”
Dinner of honey mustard grilled chicken and cobb salad was insanely delicious. Small talk was exchanged between the four of you, and you were honestly more comfortable now than you had been since you arrived. Bucky had advised you that you could be honest about yourself, as he’d told his parents all about you anyway. Except, of course, for the fact that you weren’t actually dating.
As the night wore down, you found yourself yawning into your hand. It had been a long day, and your eyes were growing tired.
“Come dear,” Winnie said, getting up from the table, as George also stood and started to clear the plates with Bucky’s help. “I’ll show you to your room.”
Slinging your duffle bag over your shoulder, you followed Winnie up the stairs. She was awfully spry for her age, and you found yourself winded at the top of the stairs. Leading you down a long hallway, she stopped at a room with a bathroom adjacent.
“Here you go, dear,” she said, swinging open the door. “I hope you and Bucky will be comfortable.”
Your heart skipped as you remembered you and Bucky would be sharing a bed. You had cuddled, kind of, on the couch at home, but never slept side by side. Wiping your sweaty palms on your jeans, you set your bag down.
The room was a decent size, with a small television mounted on the wall, a dresser, and a large, queen sized bed in the middle of the room. As was the rest of the house, this room was beautiful.
“Thank you so much, Winnie,” you said, giving her a small hug. “I can’t thank you enough for being so kind.”
“Not a problem at all,” she replied with a smile, patting your shoulder. “Now get some rest. Bucky will be up shortly, I’m sure.”
With a wink, she closed the door and was gone.
You changed into your pajamas and walked next door to the bathroom to brush your teeth. When you returned, Bucky was in the middle of changing himself, right in front of you. The best part is, he had no idea you were there.
You watched as he peeled his shirt off, the muscles in his back rippling under his skin with each movement. The soft light made his shoulders seem more broad than they already were. You swallowed hard, jumping to action as he moved to take off his hands.
“Hey, woah!” you cried out, even though you wanted to see what lied beneath. “My eyes!”
Closing the door behind you, you sat on the edge of the bed.
“Ha, ha. Very funny,” he joked, taking his pants off anyway to reveal tight as fuck boxer briefs, which left very little imagination to the eye. “It’s not like you haven’t seen me in swim trunks before.”
“Underwear are much different than swim trunks, Buck. I said I’d pretend to be your girlfriend. I never signed up to see your twig and berries.”
But Lord knows I wouldn’t protest...
Bucky chuckled and threw on a pair of loose basketball shorts. He walked towards you and took your hands again, making you float up from the bed. He pulled you to him in a tight hug, before pulling you away to look at him.
“You did amazing today. My parents are totally convinced we’re a couple. I think after this week, they’ll stop trying to set me up with random women.”
You felt your face burning with heat, and your eyes scanned away from his. It hurt too much to look into those baby blues. You felt like he could read your mind, and you didn’t want him to know your true feelings.
“Hey, you’re the star of the show. I mean, that kiss would convince a blind person.”
“That was great improvising, huh? I know I said it was for emergencies, but it felt right.”
You swallowed hard again, hoping he didn’t see.
“Don’t go catching feelings, alright?” he winked, punching you lightly on the shoulder. A lump formed in your throat, as you struggled not to cry. Little did he know, the love bug had already bitten you years ago.
All you could do was awkwardly chuckle, as you got into bed. Bucky slid in closely next to you, and turned off the side table lamp, throwing you both into total darkness. He was so close you could feel his body heat radiating into you.
“Goodnight, girlfriend,” he whispered, as he laid his arm across your stomach, as if all of this was normal. It was a good thing he couldn’t see your face.
“Goodnight… boyfriend,” you replied, as a single tear streamed down your cheek.

Utane Uta x Soune Taya infodump (Shiro-Sora)
General Chemistry Uta is pretty sarcastic, blunt, and reserved, so it’s an interesting development to see her grow and interact with the pure and shy Taya as they both overcome their shortcomings together. Uta just lost her passion to depression, but that's touched on eventually/later. She's all like "I hate life" but that's because of depression. She also lost her interest in music to depression, but being with Taya and being in a musical school has her slowly regain it. Taya tries to help out Uta and make her smile but... he ends up upsetting her one time... When Taya finds out how depressed Uta really is he starts crying for her and saying "I'm sorry..." and Uta is like "Why are you crying? Nothing is your fault..." And Taya apologizes again and says it's a habit that he feels responsible for his friend's sadness. Uta hugs him. "I haven't been able to cry for years, so I'm a bit jealous..." She says. "But... I still don't want you to cry though... I like to see your smile, ok?" Taya is very polite, and selfless. He's always willing to do favors for people. He speaks in polite language. He bows at many occasions (Even in this universe that takes place in the USA, and not Japan.) He is humble as well. These may seem like quirks or obsessions as first, but it stems from his feeling of obligation to do things for people and "not be a burden," because he had friends and teachers who treated him like a burden before. When his anemia caused him to faint or miss classes, everyone treated him as a burden. When he starts hanging out with Uta, she comments on how he feels like a butler and tells him to loosen up, it's okay to be a bit more relaxed, and selfish even. Well I think the day Uta finally cries and lets out her emotions is when something bad happens to her (fighting with her father perhaps,) but Taya comes and helps and comforts her, then confesses his love for her. And then come the waterworks, from both of them! Other General Background Stuff (including their gender identities and such) Uta Utane is non-binary, and first discovers it at age 20 through Taya, after getting to know him and realizing she is non-binary as well. Uta eventually switches to identifying as demigirl and uses she/her and they/them pronouns. Taya Soune is non-binary (he/him, trans-masculine, lesbian) and discovered his identity at age 14. He is DFAB and had been raised as a girl until then. A lot of his gender identity is still a secret from his parents, even though they know he takes testosterone hormone therapy. (They assume he is a trans man.)
Uta’s mother died when she was 4 years old. This fanfic takes place in the USA, so she is Japanese-American. Uta’s mother loved music and singing, and named her daughter after the Japanese word for song. After Uta’s mother died, her father didn’t take it well. He abandoned all music and began to hate it, because it brought back painful memories of Uta’s mother. Taya is also Japanese-American. His parents named him “Taya” with the intent of giving him an easy name to pronounce and relate to for Americans. Since Taya was designated female at birth, he was also given a name that sounded female to Americans. He still decided to keep the name after transitioning, however.
Taya picked up his habit of politely bowing when he was 15 years old and took a summer trip to Japan for two months. For this trip, he studied Japanese extensively to be able to communicate with the local people. He can speak Japanese at an intermediate skill level because of this. While he was in Japan, he felt that bowing was an expression of utmost politeness and now continues to do it back in the USA out of both out of reflex and courtesy. Uta had never been to Japan. Her father, who abandoned music after Uta’s mother died, never taught Uta the meaning of her name. When Uta was 10 years old, she was mistaken as being named Utah by everyone and was teased for it. So she Googled her name. She learned that it meant “song” in Japanese. She began to learn about Japanese culture, especially pop culture and music, in secret from her father. Quirks and Funny Moments Uta’s catchphrase is “Yare yare...” (“Good grief...”) Taya’s catchphrase is “Is that sou, desu ne?” (“Sou desu ne” is basically “Is that so?” in Japanese. I combined the two. He also tends to mumble “Sou, ne” which means “oh, well,” and alludes to... his last name! Taya is smart and dignified but... very clumsy and naive as well. Uta is badass, but kind of “chaotic dumb” in certain ways. Sometimes she forgets to do her homework while doing her homework. Don’t ask. Taya loves sweets, and his favorite is strawberry shortcake. He is also a good pastry chef... Uta is horrible at cooking! She is so horrible, that she makes things mega-explode! She is so horrible, she needs Taya to cook for her just so she can get by! Taya gets completely drunk after just a few sips of alcohol. When his 21st birthday comes in the story, he has his first drink. He gets drunk almost instantly and becomes a lot less shy. He starts singing drunk karaoke along with an intoxicated Meiko. (The songs Ghost Rule and World is Mine come to mind.) Taya and Momo Momone once got into a rather heated argument over whether strawberries or peaches are better. Uta asked herself why she was surrounded by airheads. Uta buys Taya a strawberry Squishmallow for his birthday. In no time, Taya is able to think of a personality and an extensive backstory for his new plush friend. Uta is... impressed.
One time Taya tried playing Uta’s violin instead of his usual cello. He played an earsplitting tune and ended up breaking the violin. Not only does it just break, it comically explodes into little pieces! Taya wears fancy and posh menswear all the time. To every occasion. Even to sleep. Don’t judge him. Taya is 5’4” but wishes he were at least 5’8”. He has a slight Napoleonic complex, which is somewhat unexpected. It is eventually revealed that Taya started dressing in such an elegant way to make up for his lack of height. Uta reassures Taya that his height is fine. (Once before they started dating, she accidentally slipped out that she thinks Taya is “handsome the way he is” and became flustered. However, Taya didn’t take Uta’s compliment as having any romantic undertones.) Uta’s height is 5’0” and she is rather fine with it. Deep down, she doesn’t want Taya to be tall. She likes Taya just the way he is. “Why did you set me on fire, Uta? Why didn’t you just write your essay?” -Quote from Taya, when Uta didn’t write her essay and ended up setting Taya on fire instead. (Don’t ask.) Their Part-Time Jobs Uta works part time at a hat shop. This is because Uta loves hats. In fact, she is usually never seen without her favorite hat, a black beret. Even when she is wearing a different hat, such as a beanie, she still usually is carrying her beret with her somewhere. Uta’s hat shop is at the mall, in the dimly-lit corner where nobody really goes to. It is a small shop and she is the head of it. The sales at the shop are poor. The place is named “Defoko’s Hats,” after the nickname Miki gave Uta. The nickname Defoko came from now Miki thought Uta was such a “default” type of person the first time she met her, whatever that was supposed to mean. (The word default written in Japanese katakana is pronounced “deforuto.” The first part of “deforuto” was combined with “ko,” a common ending in Japanese girls’ names, to make the nickname Defoko.) Taya works part-time at Denny’s as a waiter. He started working there to pay back the funds it took to fix a window that he broke by crashing through said window like the Kool-Aid man while he was drunk after having only one drink on his 21st birthday. (Because he cannot hold his alcohol.) Taya over-achieves at his job at Denny’s and acts as if he is a waiter in a five-star restaurant. Along with always wearing his posh, elegant clothing to the job, he is very overly-polite and tactful when taking orders, even bowing at times... people have commented that he feels more like a butler than a waiter. Taya also tends to pour the drinks at the table. In fancy teacups. He pours from a fancy kettle into the cup from a high angle. In fact, he pours them from so high, he has to get a ladder. Everyone in the restaurant stares at him. Taya is quite odd, but he does get a lot of tips. And more people have been coming to the restaurant since he had started working there. He isn’t even going for a gimmick however. He is literally just being Taya. The Theatre Club Taya wanted Uta to join the musical theatre club with him. He felt unconfident in himself alone. Taya is somewhat experienced in singing, though he is a complete beginner in the acting aspect of musical theatre. Uta has no interest in theatre, though joins to help out Taya. The biggest reason Taya wanted this is because he had a play he dreamed of acting out with everyone. It’s a play he wrote himself, from his heart. Taya is alone a lot, but he hopes this play can bring him and his schoolmates closer together. This is all Taya asks for. Uta admires his sincerity. However, since Taya is a newcomer, and the other members of the club are well-established, nobody is thinking of considering Taya’s play as their acting source material, even though nobody else’s ideas are really clicking. Given his nature, Taya doesn’t speak up. They only pay attention to him when Uta tells everyone that he’d like to share an idea. The play is… short, and similar to the one in Clannad? Except with… more people… lol. Haven’t thought too hard about the plot yet. However, it has the line, “Take my hand, I’ll take you to a place where miracles happen.” Taya’s character will be the one to say this line. Note: Okay so I thought harder and brought in the lyrics to “Dolls” by Rozenkreuz-P. So it’s basically about a child who felt alone in the world, so he built a mechanical doll to have as a friend, though he had to leave the doll behind one day to depart to “a world beyond ours” AKA death. The doll was left all alone to age and weather. The doll comes to life and is able to move. It becomes able to speak, so it sets out on an adventure, meeting people in the world it was left behind in. The doll helps out many people with its magical power. The doll’s favorite saying is “Take my hand, I’ll take you to a place where miracles happen.” One day, the doll eventually breaks, and is unable to contain the spirit within it. The doll’s spirit is able to reunite with its beloved owner who created it. Also the doll is a genderless character, because well… Taya wrote this. The work is eventually given the name “Fantasia Story,” exactly like Nagisa’s play from Clannad. Taya is playing the role of the doll. In-universe, it is said to have an “otherworldly feel” to it, and even “Wow, did you write this, Taya? That’s incredible…” A few songs are composed and written by the music club for the play, and the only one mentioned by name in the fic will be the solo Taya sings. It’ll be an actual song as well, Dolls by Rozenkreuz-P (feat. Kagamine Rin). Since this fic takes place in the USA… pretend it’s been translated to English or something. I imagine that maybe IA was the one who composed the song in-universe. Friendship Interactions (From when they were still just friends) Taya felt platonic (friendship) love for Uta the moment he first met her. He was lost on the college campus during his first day, and Uta offered to help Taya find where he was going, even though she didn’t know much about the campus herself. Taya immediately sensed that Uta was a good person. Taya wanted Uta to stay longer and talk with him for a while. When Uta went on her way and left Taya after she couldn’t help him, he felt dejected, but he felt so happy and blessed when he met Uta again later in the day and got to become close friends with her. He states the memory of their meeting is enough to make him cry. Taya is very fond of Uta. He sees her as such a wonderful and special person. He cannot stand seeing her hurt or upset, it hurts him as well. Uta grows to be very fond of Taya. The kindness and pureness of Taya’s heart widens Uta’s perspective on life. She is inspired to be someone more like him, who doesn’t harbor harsh feelings in their heart. Uta grows very protective of Taya. In a sense, she becomes willing to do anything for the sake of him, even doing something embarrassing in front of everyone in physics class to take the attention away from Taya sleep-talking in class. As best friends, they open up about their problems to each other and are always willing to be each other’s shoulder to cry on. When their lives take a turn for the stressful, they have each other. Their bond deeps this way. Uta’s crush on Taya began when she saw how confident he became when acting in the play he wrote himself. Also through the story in the play, Uta felt she got to learn so much about what’s in Taya’s heart. Uta began to see Taya as a wonderful, sweet, humble, and charming person. Taya’s crush on Uta started out as a “platonic crush.” It gradually grew into a romantic one. Taya began seeing Uta in a different light when he realized she was not only kind, but very brave and willing to help anyone in need. Once when Taya wasn’t feeling good, he still felt obligated to work and to do Uta favors. Uta told Taya he needed to rest and to take it easy. She attempted to cook chicken and vegetable porridge for Taya but nearly made the kitchen explode... however, by a miracle of friendship (or love?) the actual porridge didn’t turn out so bad. However, that night Taya’s condition worsened and became severe. He needed to go to the emergency room for pneumonia and a blood transfusion (due to anemia.) Taya began to feel like a burden, but Uta reassured him he wasn’t and blamed herself. They then worked out that maybe it was nobody’s fault. This bout of illness happened shortly before Taya was to perform his musical theatre play. Therefore, Taya isn’t in top condition when he performs. However, he still does his best and gives a good performance. Shippy Details and Interactions (From after they became lovers) Taya is a very gentle and affectionate person. Right after he confesses his love to Uta, he is rather chaste about showing his affection out of shyness. But they grow to trust each other more about these feelings. Taya is a huge hugger and loves to cuddle. Uta is gray-romantic, meaning she rarely feels romantic attraction. She seldom felt romantic feelings in her life. She never felt them substantially before meeting Taya, who she considers her first, and really, only love. Uta never thought she would be big with hugging and cuddling, but physical affection with Taya gives her comfort. (DISCLAIMER: I’m not trying to state that people who lack romantic attraction are “broken” or need to be “repaired.” Other types of love, such as platonic or familial love can be just as, or even more meaningful and fulfilling than the romantic kind.) Taya likes singing Uta to sleep. He even recorded his voice softly singing lullabies for Uta to listen to while falling asleep for when he can’t be available to sing for her. Uta thinks this is very sweet of him. Taya likes holding/hugging or clinging to Uta gently as they fall asleep together. Sometimes when Taya is feeling down, Uta does this to Taya and it comforts him greatly. The Emotional Part TW: ABUSIVE PARENT
———
Taya is practicing lines from the short play he wrote himself. He reaches his hand out and says “Take my hand... I’ll take you to a place where miracles happen.” This captures Uta’s heart.
Eventually in the story, something emotional happens. Uta gets in a fight with her father over her college major. Uta has learned to love music again and now truly wants to pursue it. However, Uta’s father still hates music, and hates that his daughter’s name is Uta (meaning “song”), and hates that the family’s name is Utane (“singing sound”.) Uta’s mother died when she was young. Her now single father is distant, abusive, and wants Uta to be a business major.
Things get emotional between them, and even a bit physical. Taya sees the whole thing, and steps in at a certain point as Uta’s father is about to hit his daughter. Uta tells Taya to stop for his own good, not wanting Taya to have to get hurt. Uta grabs Taya by the hand and runs off.
Once away from the scene, Uta then vents to Taya and tells him that life has been terrible because it lost all its meaning... Uta starts sobbing and letting out all her pent-up emotions. Taya hugs her, unable to handle seeing Uta cry, letting tears slide down his own face. After crying and comforting Uta for a bit, Taya says... “Uta, take my hand... I’ll take you to a place where miracles happen...” This time he’s for real. He‘s reaching his hand out to Uta. He‘s trying to comfort her. Both of them are misty-eyed. Uta takes his hand... and smiles at him. “Now, shall we go?” Taya smiles back. “Yes...” They take a walk to the place where they first met... And after a talk about their memories, Taya confesses his love to Uta at the top of the hill under the stars. Uta’s Life, Music, and Singing Uta Utane started out not being a singer. Until she went to Sonare Community College, the music-oriented college the story takes place in, and met Taya, she had never taken a singing lesson in her life. Uta’s late mother used to love singing. Uta herself was exclusively a violinist at first. She started playing the violin in childhood. When she lost her passion for music to depression, she still continued to play the violin simply because she felt she’d come too far to abandon it. Early in the story, Uta went to karaoke with Taya to help themselves come out of their shells a bit and become less shy in performing. Their new acquaintances Ritsu Namine and Ruko Yokune gave very powerful performances of -ERROR and The Lost One’s Weeping, and blew everyone away. Next, shy Taya gave a performance of From Y to Y, and Uta found out that he actually had a really beautiful singing voice. Uta went up on stage next and sang Jitter Doll rather horribly. Her voice was screechy, scratchy, and off-key. It was actually so bad that the microphone started making a weird feedback noise. She became so embarrassed that she stopped in the middle... and confessed with shame that she wasn’t a singer, and that she just came to help out Taya. Everyone cheered Uta on regardless. It was a great feeling, and pushed Uta to want to pursue singing. Uta becomes Taya’s singing partner, and Taya coaches Uta with what he knows about vocals. Within a year, the quality of Uta’s voice develops well. Eventually, Uta is outside with Taya. A mood strikes them and they start singing. Uta is singing a solo part, and suddenly her father comes up. “Uta?” He says. Uta is suddenly revolted by his presence and ready to take Taya’s hand and run away. She hates her dad and was ready for him to say something awful. But rather... “When did you learn to sing like that? You sounded just like your mother. It brought back memories...” Uta’s father is smiling sentimentally? Uta still doesn’t trust him, and neither does Taya, but Uta’s legs somehow just won’t move. “I...” Uta starts to speak. “You know, I realized something.” Uta’s father interrupts. “I should’ve stayed strong for you. I should have let you pursue music if it made you this happy. Your mother may have passed, but... music is where she lives on. How... how have I not realized that she lives on in you...?” Uta’s father suddenly begins sobbing. Uta doesn’t know how to react at first... but Taya pats him on the back. “Dad...” Uta eventually finds the words to say. “It’s okay now. I’m sorry I never realized you felt this way. I’d recommend not bottling these things up. Seek some professional help, okay? The first step to recovering is realizing these things. I promise, things will get better.” Uta’s father never fully redeems himself, but he lets go all his hatred caused by a traumatic past he cannot change and stops burdening his daughter with his harsh feelings. Two years after the beginning of the story, Uta goes back to the same karaoke place where she first sang Jitter Doll horribly. Little does she know, her performance became somewhat infamous there among the workers for being awful. All 46 Vocaloid and UTAU characters featured in the fic will be present in this scene. This will be a party scene, and perhaps nearing the series’ finale. “Hey, isn’t she that one who couldn’t sing?” The staff says upon seeing her. “Yes, and I’m back.” Uta says. “Now let’s turn up the volume in here. I’ll be requesting Jitter Doll.” This time, Uta totally slays every note of the song with great power and technique. She isn’t impeccably skilled yet, but she’s getting there. Applause booms from the group. Uta’s improvement is as clear as day. Not only did Uta’s singing improve within those two years, but so did her life and character. Her personality is now more cheerful and less closed-off, and she managed to overcome depression alongside Taya, becoming much more confident and buoyant in the process. Eventually... (After Story and Epilogue...) Taya plans an event on the hill where he and Uta first met. It’s a formal evening cookout with a lot of karaoke. In the place where they first met, Taya proposes marriage to Uta on a day in April. They are 24 years old. Their honeymoon is in Tokyo that June. Two months after the honeymoon, in August, they have their wedding and get married. Three years later at age 27, the two adopt their first child, a baby girl they name Sonata.

Impact vs Lucha Underground Review
Friday April 6th, from the Sugar Mill in New Orleans, Louisiana
Matanza vs Chavo Guerrero vs Jack Evans vs Caleb Konley vs Matt Sydal vs Moose[***]
We have a six pack challenge to start things off in this Impact vs LU show and the match was actually very solid, fun and fast pace offence. I loved how they got Konley to show off some stuff as usually Caleb is a jobber/weak link of the cult of lee. I also wished they got us more from Matanza and Moose in the match, because it's one of those big men showdowns i'd love to see one day and they just teased here. Matanza gets the win with his Wrath of the gods on Konley and post match Chavo revealed that LU season four is premiering on June 13th. Show started on a good note and let's hope it will go on like this
Knockouts Championship: Allie vs Taya Valkyre:[**1/2]
The match was ok but not as good as i expected: it was very slow and it kinda lacked some sense of urgency and also drama and it kinda felt that the title was not gonna change since theres a PPV in litteraly a few weeks. Also the finish felt very anticlimatic because Allie won after a backbreaker followed by a codebreaker. Hopefully Allie's match at Redemption will be much better and also i expect better stuff from Taya on thursday since she is squaring off with Rosemary in a Demon Dance which should steal the show.
OVE vs Teddy Hart&Scott Steiner:[*]
Another ok match and you wouldn't expect much else, since Steiner isn't young anymore and Hart did a fantastic job even tho it was a while since he wrestled. Not a fan of OVE jobbing but they lost because of steiner and also to make the crowd happy and for a stand alone event is fine. But since i'm a huge Scott Steiner mark, i should forget my previous complaint and enjoy the Big Daddy Booty do his stuff
King Cuerno, Aerostar&Drago vs Andrew Everett, DJ Z and Dezmond Xavier: [***1/4]
This match didn't fail to deliver and as you expect it was a really great spot fest with everyone showing off their best moves and keeping the match good, fast and also really enjoyable to watch. It's great to see DJZ in an Impact ring again after all the injuries he had and hopefully he'll come back to regular programming too and also in the X Division. The Lucha Guys get the win with a submission by Cuerno/fantasma and as Striker said on commentary, it was really weird to see the match end with a submission after all the high flying and risky moves we had. Best match on the card so far.
Marty The Moth vs Trevor Lee:[**1/4]
Another short but ok match with Famous B that found a way to sneak out of the match and signed Marty for a one night only. When i saw the change, i thought they would put on a better match and i'm kinda upset that they didn't because they could have done some solid things and they could have shown a lot more, but at least Trevor got the win that he needs, since one day he will be in the uppercard of Impact. Or at least i hope so.
Impact Tag Team Championship: LAX vs Killshot and Da Mack:[***3/4]
Another match that on paper was supposed to be good and my god it was even better than i expected. Both teams went all out with the Lucha Guys getting so close to pick up the win and getting the titles and showing amazing stuff, like the variation of the killshot stomp or the fireman carry into a pounce from Mack. Everytime i see Mack in the ring, wheather it's Lucha or PWG, i wonder how he failed to made it in WWE, because he is so good for a big man and he would have went over very easily with the WWE Crowd. But as expected, LAX got the win to keep their titles and one day i hope we get a rematch betwen both teams and Impact&AAA partnership might help with this (also the rumors of Killshot being on Impact's radar might help)
Brian Cage vs Eli Drake:[***]
After two good matches with Bobby Lashley on Impact, Cage also gets to face another former Impact World Champion and another solid match. Drake got some offense in the first half of the match but then Cage got the comeback and got to counter the Gravy Train and then he hit a neckbreaker that got him the win a little bit outtanowhere, since he won his matches on Impact with the DrillClaw. The finish was a bit anticlimatic but i liked the match and we can expect a rematch down the line in the next few months on Impact
I Quit Match: Eddie Edwards vs Jeremiah Crane:[****]
So this was the match that i was looking most for, because their feud has been amazing so far and their previous match was good, so i expected big things from them and the clearly delivered a big time match. It was brutal, violent, they both told a really great story, a story of a face getting revenge after what happened to him and almost happened to his wife. Eddie did anything to get the win and showed a sadistic side we've never seen from him while Callihan/Crane shined by being a badass dick heel who won't stop at nothing to do what he wants. I also loved the ending with Don Callis coming ringside and throwing the towel for eddie and save him while Crane tried again to hit him on the face with the baseball bat and then Moose came out to save Eddie again, because they are friends and because OVE screwed him on last weeks Impact during the match with Moose. Personally, i'd say that so far it's the best match i've seen on Impact and probably the best feud on Impact at the moment. Great stuff from both.
Pentagon Jr vs Fenix vs Austin Aries:[***1/2]
Before the start, we that Patron no showed up so the match is now a 3 way rather than a tag team match. actually Patron not being on the show gave us a much better that what should have been. It wasn't a stellar 3 way but it was very solid with all of them trying to get the win and also the two lucha guys had to work together to get rid of Aries (that double superkick was nuts and so the powerbomb from penta was). After Aries got knocked out, Pentagon got the win his Pentagon Driver and also picking some momentum for Redemption, since they are again facing each other but for the title this time, since Patron got fired by Impact because he didn't showed up at the event. I think the match will be even better than this one.
Overall: When they announced the show i was really hyped because i love inter promotion shows and that's the best things that can come out from two promotions working together. Then i saw the card and i thought it wouldn't be as good as i thought because some names from both Impact and LU weren't booked, but at the end of the day i think it was a solid, fun and enjoyable show. Nothing expectional but something different and easy to watch, even tho in the middle it lost some momentum but picked up and delivered with the Impact Tag titles match, the i quit match and the main event(thanks alberto). If you have the time to watch it, go for it, if you don't you should at least check the matches i mentioned before. Hopefully we will see a Impact vs LU II in the future. [7]

Since the Beginning of your World
Hey Guys! This is a little special on my channel. So its a onepart. Its about the history of the Fierce Deity. In my fic it will have the name Kishin but thats not my idea! I love the name but i didnt create it. Well the Deitys history is a mystery no one can really solve. So i made my own story! I hope you like it. And ps: Horror Kid and Taya are still better names than Skull Kid and Tatl!
Warnings: Blood, pain and aaaaall the creepy stuff from Majoras mask :)
Was it over? He didn’t feel it anymore. He just felt pain. But not the pain he felt when it started. The pain he felt was a relaxing one. His throat hurt so much from screaming. Link tried to open his eyes but they shut again automatically. He tried once again and saw the bright sunlight. It burned in his face. Specially at his forehead and his cheeks. No, that wasn’t the sun. It was something different. But what?
Link tried to say something but only a silent groan came out of his mouth. When he looked around he saw a silhouette sitting infront of him. He was scared and wanted to run away, but his body hurt too much. Especially his shoulder. He felt blood running down his left arm. Link just lay there breathing. Completly exhausted.
He stared at the person who was sitting there. Is was the Happy-Mask-Salesman. He was holding something. It was purple with colorful spikes and freaking big eyes. Then his memories came back.
He was fighting inside the moon with a horrifying creature named Majora. He was loosing. The creature had its tentacles around him and choke him. It threw Link away like he was nothing. The Hero of Time was laying there as good as dead. In his last power he pulled out the mask he got a few moments before and put it on. Suddenly a deep pain ran through his body and he was screaming. Link never felt a pain like that. At that moment he felt like he was dying over and over again. It was so painful. But in the whole pain he felt power too. A power like the pain. New. A new expierience he never had before. And the young hero had seen a lot of things.
He could see nothing. Only white. But why white? A tall figure appeared infront of him. He looked like a knight. But much scarier. He had blue and red markings on his face. And white hair. The figure also had a tunic a bit like his own. Not in green, in white. Around the tunic was a shiny armour. On his back the man carried a huge sword and when he slowly came closer, Link tried to step back. But in his exhaustion he couldn’t keep his self and fell back down.
The person came closer.
And closer.
And closer.
Until he stood really infront of him. Link could see his eyes. There was nothing in his eyes. They were empty.
He was so scared. So he put his hands protecting infront of his face in fear he would die every moment. Where was Taya? Where was Navi? And where the hell even was Link?! He was alone in here. Alone with the scary person wich would kill him now.
But nothing happened. He looked at the person and saw a hand infront of his face. The hand probably was five times bigger than his own. The man was just standing there. Reaching for Links hand. He slowly put his hand into the mans and he pulled him up from the ground.
Now they were standing there hand in hand. Then the man started to talk. His voice was so strong and sounded not really human. It echoed like a ghosts voice.
"Lets beat this demon together, my child"
But then his memories clicked out.
It was over. Whatever happened, he defeated Majora. He tried to sit up and rubbed his head. His face was still burning but it was weaker than before.
"What happened...?" He asked tired and confused.
Then a fairy rushed over to him when it heared his voice. "Link! You finally woke up! I was so worried about you!"
He couldn’t belive his eyes or eares. "N-Navi?!" But with a short look his dream broke and turned into disappointment. Anyway he was happy Taya was at least there for him. Navi just left him...
No! He couldn’t think about Navi that way! She was Links partner and best friend. It hurt when she left him after their adventure. Like the others. He felt tears silently running down his face.
"Link? Are you okay? And who is Navi?" Taya asked and flew a bit closer to him.
He hastily wiped his teares away and tried to smile at Taya. "Nothing. Im fine, Taya."
"Ok? If you say that? Anyway, after you put on that mask, you grew and turned into a huge guy. And man, you fought that beast like a god. And i was not afraid! I fought on your side! Yeah... enough of my braveness. We saved everyone!"
The moon over the Clock Town was gone and all the people were save. He did it.
Link suddenly heared a quiet sobbing. "Im sorry. Im so sorry, Tael and Taya. I was a terrible friend, but you never left me! I can understand if you dont want to be my friends anymore..." a little Horror Kid cried.
Another Fairy appeared next to Taya. A black one. "Comon Sis, we should forgive him. He didn’t-"
"After all he did? He almost destroyed the whole country and if we hadn’t stopped him, hundrets of people would be dead!" Taya said angry, what made Horror Kid let his head hang down sadly.
"But that wasn’t really him. It was the mask! You know him. Horror Kid just wants to play. Dont be so strict, Sister." Tael said and Taya sighned.
The both fairies flew slowly over to the weeping Horror Kid. He hugged his friends and really started cry. For a few moments Link was just sitting there, watching them. He felt happy and sad at the same time, because it reminded him at Navi. Horror Kid calmed down a bit and let go his fairies from his tight hug.
"Lets go back into the woods. Then i can show you my home." He said to his friends. Horror Kid then looked at Link and almost flinched. "Thank you for stopping that creepy mask and saving me." The little woodcreature smiled. "You remind me at someone. Are you Kokiri?"
Link hastily shook his head. He wasn’t a Kokiri. Not anymore. Well he has never been. And he hated to think about it. Ok since his first adventure, he hated to think about everything that had something to do with his "home".
Taya came back to Link. "I think that means our goodbye. I- It was- Thank you Link." He just smiled.
The young hero decided to continue the search for Navi in the woods. It was late and he noticed Epona was tired, so they made camp. She looked so adorable when his little horse was sleeping. She moved in sleep a bit more than usual. But Link couldn’t blame her. The last three days were horrifying to Epona too.
At least his horse had a bit sleep. In that night he didn’t close an eye. He just sat there staring in the dancing flames of the campfire ignoring the pain in his shoulder. It was a deep bite. Whatever bit him there was huge. The for others scary sounds in the woods remembered him at all the nights he couldn’t sleep like now and played then hide and seek with his friends in the dark forest. But then a voice broke the silence.
"You are broken. What is it?"
He jumped back and looked around. "W-Who is there?" He slowly reached for his sword.
It was silent again. Epona just turn on her back with a soft snoring. Was that real? Or was he just so tired?
"Dont be afraid. I won’t hurt you."
When the voice appeared again, a low shine came out of his bag, wich was laying beside the campfire.
He slowly went towarts to it and carefully opened it. There were only his masks and other items.
"What are you waiting for? Take me out."
The shine and the voice came again. He dropped the bag and steped back. A few masks landed on the ground. Among them a glowing one. It was the scary one with the marks and the white hair. Was the huge man talking to Link?
It lost its shine and he picked it up. "Uhm... Hello?" He asked the mask suspicious.
"Hello, my child. I was waiting for you since the beginning of your world."
"Who are you?"
"I can tell you if you want."
Link looked at Epona. She was still sleeping like a rock. He sat on the ground and looked at the mask in his hands. Everytime it talked it started glowing.
"Ok? What do you mean with 'since the beginning of your world'? How old are you? Wait, and why do you call me 'my child'? That sounds stupid!"
"My name is Kishin and you already met Majora, right?"
He shook his body a bit as he thought about the creepy demon-mask. He just nodded and Kishin started telling a story Link would never have guessed.
"Once apon a time there were three godesses in the middle of nowhere. They had a plan together. To create live.
The three friends planned and laughed with each other. Until a universe was originated. The universe was empty yet. And they wanted to change that.
One of that three godesses was Hylia. Well i think you at least know her, right? Good, but im sure you dont know the others. Well the second one was Majora himself. And I, Kishin also known as the Fierce Deity, was the third one."
"Wait, Wait. Wait! That thing in the moon, WAS A GODESS LIKE HYLIA?!"
"You didn’t let me finish."
"Ok sorry, continue."
"Hylia was always the nice one of us. Majora was the absolute oppusite. He was more childish and cunning but he always made us laugh. I always knew how annoying he could be but Majora always has been our friend. He always called me a grump after he annoyed me a bit too much and i stopped him.
When we all started with our main world we planned for the universe, we gave our best to make the world so beautiful we can. Majora made all the dirt, rocks and fire. Hylia made all the coloures, air and water. And I made the spirits, feelings and lifes. A land was built piece for piece.
But how sad it was we never had the chance to finish like we planed. Then Majora loved the world we were creating together and wanted to have it for himself. But at that time he hid it and pushed that thought away.
Then, when Hylia was helping me designing a special species with technical skills, it happened. Majora just wanted to help me too but i didn’t want a guy like him designing the humans. He was my friend but i didn’t really trust him. He was sad and angry now. We were a lot arguing and the construction of that world was interrupted. A simple dispute turned into a real fight.
I fought with my sword and Majora with something he called Dark Magic. One of his crazy inventions. Hylia always held herself out of our problems, but this time she begged us to stop and just wanted to save her friends. But in his anger Majora attacked Hylia and i tried to block it. She was alright but i got deathly injured.
The shock to hurt a friend so bad let his power grow. He couldn’t control it anymore and his mind broke. My best friend turned right before my dying eyes into a demon. I knew that wasn’t Majora anymore. With my last power i grabbed my sword and killed it to protect Hylia. The last thing i feeled in my own body were tears running down my face and my friends blood burning on my skin."
"Whoaaaaa! Thats deep! What happened next?! Wait, do you even know that? Why can you know what happenes next?"
"Im a dead god."
"Ok that makes sense..."
"Would you please let me finish?!"
"Ok, sorry. Im just a bit disturbed that the thing that threw me against a wall was a dead god."
"Anyway, after her friends died, Hylia was very sad and missed us. And to save our souls she banned us into masks. And our little projekt? She couldn’t make it alone so Hylia created three other godesses to finish the world and create the things she couldn’t do alone. She called them Farore, Din and Nayru. They should show Courage, Power and Wisdom.
When it was finally done she called it 'Hyrule' and she also planted the humans i made but never had the chance to make them real. I don’t know why but Hylia sometimes does something i cant understand. She reincarnates us.
I think she sometimes creates a great evil and someone who can kill it, to see the evil fail. One of that evils is called Ganon. And dont freak out Link! The one to slay it... are you-"
Everything froze for Link and he felt tears well ing up in his eyes. He knew it. The Hero of Time was just another figure in nothing else than a game.
"NO!!! I won’t do this all anymore! JUST LET ME GO!!!"
He threw the mask in his hands onto the ground before it could even answer and started running. Running, just running. It was all he could do at the moment. He ran deeper into the woods.
It was cold, and he felt the cool nightair blowing into his face. The tears in his face felt freezing while he rushed through the forest. The woods used to be his home, but at the moment they were scary.
He was still running, until a root stopped him. Link fell with his face to the ground. He kneeled up and felt a tear falling down his face. One tear bacame two tears. He started sobbing. He felt all the pain and loss coming again and he cried it all out. He cird for Navi, for Taya, for all the people he saw dying infront of his eyes and for all the creepy things he saw ripping his soul out of his body. But most of all he cried for himself.
The deep night got colder and he started trembling. But that didn’t matter. He deserved it. He couldn’t save Darmani or Mikau or even the dekubutlers son. Or all the people of Termina. Link saw all of them die often enough. He was just a useless failure.
But suddenly he felt arms around him and his trembling got stronger. "Its ok kid. Everything is okay. You’re save." He looked up and saw the person that held him. It was Kishin.
-----
He knew the story would be confusing, but Kishin told him too much. The kid stood up and threw him away. Link shouted at him and ran away into the woods. He tried to stop him but the kid already was too far away. Damn mask! He couldn’t move!
His mask lay now directly next to Links little horse. It was awaken by his shouts and was now looking into the direction where the kid dissapeared. It was asking its self if it should follow its friend.
The foal didn’t notice the mask laying next to it. Maybe... well it was his only chance.
He started shouting and yelling at the horse. And it jumped up and neighed scared. The horse started kicking around and stood at the glowing mask. Yes! Finally!
The Fierce Deitys Mask broke and he felt free. Kishins vision grew. He looked at his self and couldn’t believe his stupid plan really worked. He wasn’t sealed anymore. He had a body!
The tiny horse infront of him looked afraid at him and ran away into the forest as well. He would get it back later but at first he had to find the kid.
He rushed away from the camp into the darkness. It felt amzing to run with his own feet. He stopped when he heared a small whimper and looked around. Kishin found the little kid kneeling on the ground. He was trembling and brokenly sobbing. Kishins heart hurt when he saw him like that in the creepy cold forest.
He came closer to Link and kneeled down next to him. The kid seemed he didn’t noticed the huge man sitting next to him. Kishin wrapped his arms around him and pulled the boy closer to him.
The Hero of Time tried to fight against something he hoped he never had to see again. His brother. And the next to Majora tiny child wouldn’t win. Link was a good fighter, but nothing against that deamons torture. Majora could have killed him with one hit, but he was defenitly playing with his victim. That really looked like his brother. But more violently. Kishin tried to help the kid but he had no chance. He was trapped in this mask. He couldn’t even speak to him. When the child was almost defeated he finally pulled out his mask. Finally! He could help him! Link put on the mask.
The kid was in his mask as well. His forestgreen tunic stained with blood. He looked scared. Kishin helped him up and tried not to seem terrifying. "Lets beat this deamon together, my child." He said and Kishin felt power and freedom in him. His vision vanished and appeared on Majora again. He stood up and got the Helix-Sword from his back.
"Kiii.......shiiin...." The creature infront of him hissed. It stood there ready to fight. Where should have been hands, there were long tentacles. They were colourful like its whole body. The deamon used them like whips.
Before he got...that... Majora used whips as well. Like Kishin had his sword, or Hylia had her bow. He also had a trident. But it was just his second weapon. Majoras trident was far faster than Kishins sword but it was less powerful. To his luck, the savage beast that was once called his brother didnt show to have a trident. Just whips.
On its chest was a colourful symbol of two terrifying eyes staring at him. Around the eyes there were markings. The same markings Majora had in his face. Evey god has markings. He had red and blue stripes. Even Hylia has markings in her face. Under her eyes were some things similar to wings. He even made her a gift. He created a animal wich should be the symbol of her markings. She loved it an called it a 'Loftwing'. Kishin would never forget her beautyful face. And he could never ever forget Majoras true identity. How he was before...before Kishin ruined everything.
He looked at Majoras awful appearence and felt his heart hurt. 'Its all my fault' he thought.
"Never...thought to see...you-" Kishin saw Majora charging and made himself ready to jump away. "-AGAIN!" Majora attacked with one of his whips but Kishin could dodge it.
"That isn’t you, Majora! I know it! Please!" He begged. But Majora didn’t answer him and awfully screeched at him. The dead deity didn’t care but suddenly felt the kids body flinch. He started running towarts Majora and jumped at him. Kishin rose his Sword and tried to hit the creature. But Majora blocked him perfectly and hurled one of his whipes at his former brother. The whip hit Kishin and wrapped itself around his ankle. The deamon god threw him through the whole room, or moon, he didn’t knew exactly. He violently hit the wall.
Kishin stood up and picked up his sword again. 'I hope the kid is alright...' he thought. He stormed to him again and dodged the whipes coming towarts to him. Kishin waited for the next whip trying to hit him and cut it off. Majora screamed and they both looked at each other. Exhausted and fierce at the same time.
"Why...why did you do that all? Why did you enter Termina? And why do you want to destroy it?!" He asked the deamon in rage.
The only response was a screech. But it this time sounded like laughter. Majora was laughing at him. Ignoring the blood running down his body and falling onto the offcutted piece of his left whip laying on the ground. Then he bagan to speak. "My original...plan.....to destroy....what created!" More screeching laughter was to hear and a wide grin appeared on his friends face. "I...created world and moon...want them see...destroying...EACH OTHER!" Majora jumped at him again. This time it was more unexpected. But he dodged it again. "Hyrule...to well protected...Horror Kid...to weak..." Majoras breathing was loud and strong, but it was ratteling too. "Hylia knew...would destroy...her loved Hyrule...Pathetic! Brought Horror Kid...my mask to Termina....also courage and you...to KILL ME!" Majora yelled at him in rage but he didnt attack.
"Courage? You mean the kid?"
The deamon stared at him and a wide grin rose on his face. "Kid? You...like it?"
Kishin froze. He said too much, but he tried to stay cool. The savage deamon shouldn’t know his weakness. Useless. Majora already knew.
The beast sprinted towards him and threw his one whip at Kishin. He dodged it and was ready to attack his brother. But the creature threw his whip again. And the Fierce Deity was too slow this time.
The whip wrapped itself around his shoulders and choke him. He couldn’t move. With his only weapon left now, Majora dug his sharp large teeth into Kishins shoulder. He screemed without even noticing it. Kishin himself didn’t feel the pain, but he felt the kid feeling it. That was enough to make his heart hurt. Well if a dead god could have a heart.
Kishin tried to swing his sword but could barely move. The small move he was able to do was enough to cut off Majoras other whip. The creature screeched and let go of his shoulder. The god used his chance and rose his sword. It slided through the coulorful flesh of Majoras chest. His last scream was fierce and screeching. It almost hurt in Kishins or the kids ears.
Majora sunk to his knees and his screaming stopped until everything that was to hear was exhausted breathing. Coming from both of them.
"You...know......you’re........weak..............to...weak....but.......although...you’re..............weaker.....than...me..you....always.......manage....it....to................protect......someone...............h-how?!" Majora said with exhaution in his voice.
It hurt to see his brother like that. "Because i don’t want to hurt anyone. But you hurt the kid. And the kid also just wanted to protect the people." He said cold as ice but a part of him knew that he was failing to seem cold.
Majora rose his head to look into his brothers face. "Thank.........you........" he said with a diffrent, clear vioce. Less demonic. Everything froze for Kishin. The look Majora gave him was warm. Well as warm as a savage deamon could be. That was not the deamon he fought. That was his brother.
Kishin wanted to help him but in that moment everything began to shake and Majoras body started to glow.
The room vanished and he started falling. The whole started spinning until he hit the ground.
"Its ok kid. Everything is okay. You’re save. You have gone through enough for now." He said and felt the child trembling in the cold of the deep night
