I havent really been into the current state of the JJK manga for a while, im at the point where its ending might hold some value for me as someone who was already invested in the characters but largely aside from seeing how a few things pan out I just really really couldn't care less. 

that being said I have to thank gege for every new chapter giving us more and more good looking Gojos. the more feral and covered in blood the better, and hoo boy am I getting that.

you hear him gossiping to your daughter who’s only a toddler when they return home, hearing her gasp dramatically at his words as they get closer. “sweet thi— oh?” gojo cuts himself off, followed by a few seconds of silence before you hear him whisper “hm, looks like mommy’s all tired out, princess. maybe we should just forget movie night and eat dessert before dinner.”

his words are goading and you try to hide the pout on your lips when they’re followed by a few of his heavy footsteps as he approaches you, like he’s trying to size you up for a reaction — looking for it as he pays careful attention to your features like he doesn’t have ever inch of you mapped out by memory.

it seems like an instant before they’re by the side of the couch, crouching down slightly to place a gentle kiss to your cheek, soft despite the way his lips linger on the skin as they move against you — enough for you to be able to feel the signature smirk you can only assume paints his pretty features right.

“really, sweet girl? i thought you knew me better than to pretend to be asleep.” gojo drawls and you almost jolt when he whips the blanket off of you with a gasp. “awake? all this time? princess i just don’t think they wanted to watch movies with us.” his tone laced with teasing as his lips curl into a smug grin — while you watch him turn to your daughter with a hand on his hip, yes you’re roped into it, not that you’re complaining.

✩ ˛˚ . ITADORI YUUJI

you hear their shared footsteps running up the hall as you quickly pull the blanket over your body, closing your eyes just as they burst through the door, closely followed by a gasp from your husband before you hear your son copy him — you always found it charming the way he truly seen him as his idol.

“oh no, mommy’s asleep so we gotta be quiet okay?” yuuji whisper shouts, a smaller voice piping up after with a just as excitable “bu’ you said we should never sleep with no goodnigh’ kiss.” your son tries to whisper back and you want to laugh at how loud they’re both talking while also trying to be quiet.

“you’re right! good job remembering!” you’re trying your best to bite back the smile you can feel twitch at your lips — the interaction making you feel warm in the best sort of way, but you hear them both begin to approach you before there’s a suspicious silence and you wonder if you’ve been caught.

“okay you go first then i’ll go!” you finally hear your husband say and you want to smile when you feel your sons lips press against your cheek before he pulls away again, whispering as he does “goodnigh’ mommy” followed by yuuji’s shortly after with a “goodnight baby.” hearing them leave after with a very quiet high five “wanna play a game now?”

you hear your husband’s chuckle as he returns home from picking up your daughter from school, your daughter rambling about what she learned before they enter the living room, noticing you asleep on the couch before nanami shushes her gently.

“how about you tell me all about it in the kitchen, princess? let’s let your mom rest.” he grumbles and it’s silent for a moment until you hear a cabinet close, feeling the familiar touch of your husbands lips on your skin when he leans down to place a gentle kiss to your forehead.

“sleep well, sweetheart.” nanami breathes, calloused thumb smoothing over your cheek soothingly incase he woke you, but allowing your daughter to kiss the same place he did before she’s copying her dads movements and tracing over the same spot with her smaller hand.

“that’s it, good job, princess. you want to help daddy make them some tea?” he grumbles, followed by a whispered “yes” before they move quietly to the kitchen.

✩ ˛˚ . FUSHIGURO MEGUMI

it’s quiet when you hear megumi and your daughter return home from school, her smaller hand still wrapped in his bigger one as he carries her pink bag pack over his shoulder with a pout on his lips (he knows he spoils her).

but as soon as they meet your figure draped so dreamily on the couch, pretending to be asleep — all sound dies down before you’re only met with light shuffling, the noise accompanied by the feeling of a soft blanket being draped over you a few moments later.

“like this.” megumi whispers, tucking it underneath you gently, he’s being careful not to wake you and you can’t deny the way it makes your heart swell. but not as much as it does when you feel the same movements on the other side — except by a smaller pair of hands this time and you can almost imagine the soft, proud smile on his face with the little. “is mommy warm now?”

your daughter tries to whisper, the sound comes out a little louder than intended, but you don’t mind when you hear your husband huff out a laugh after. “almost.” megumi hums, silence following his words before you feel him rest his lips along your forehead a few moments later with a soft breath. “there, perfect.”

you hear the gentle of hum of geto’s soft laugh as he returns home with your daughter after the school run, both of their shared footsteps shuffling down the hallway as you work to quickly make yourself look comfortable on the couch. you lie back, pulling the blankets up to your chin just a few moments before their careful steps stop in the doorway, followed by a gentle shhh from your dark haired boyfriend as you hear them both fall silent.

“is mommy sleeping?” your daughter asks before it’s followed by a set of heavy steps—confirming that’s it’s exactly who you think it is when you sense his presence squat down at the side of the couch as his dark eyes probably settle on your features.

“seems that way.” geto grunts and you give it a few moments, hoping he hasn’t picked up on your little act before you feel his fingertips brush along your cheek, followed by a sigh before he’s falling into his place beside you softly. he moves you carefully until you’re pressed in his lap and you feel his other arm raise as your daughter asks “what’re you doing?” despite the way she approaches anyway.

“hm? i think i should get to cuddle with my favourite girls. cmeer.” and you think maybe you should keep up your little act a while longer as you nuzzle yourself into his chest with a content sigh when his lips press softly against your temple. but then he speaks against your skin and you can’t help the way you have to bite back a grin. “you really think you can trick me, pretty girl? i thought you knew me better than that.”

You could feel it.

The way Gojo's eyes would always linger on you a few seconds more than they would linger on others, never in the romantic sense of course.

You were one of the four first years at Tokyo Jujutsu High, and along with Itadori, Megumi, and Nobara, worked towards perfecting your cursed technique.

But, there was always a question at the back of your mind.

Why doesn't Gojo Sensei like me?

It felt as if in a way he hated you, but at the same time didn't. Like he didn't want you around but wouldn't want you to leave either.

Whenever Itadori went to give him a high five or any sort of physical contact, Gojo accepted with open arms. Whenever you attempted any physical contact, Gojo would tense, his fun demeanor vanishing instantly and you'd be left wondering what you did wrong or if you had offended him in any way.

You'd hear stories about how fun Gojo is to go shopping with from Nobara and Itadori, but whenever it's just you and Gojo out, it's as if you have a suffocating helicopter parent.

One time, you had disappeared from his side to go look at a product at a store window. When he had found you he grabbed your shoulders, looking you over from head to toe, asking questions that ranged from "Who took you?" to "No shots?"

You didn't understand what he meant by that last question, but brushed it off as just Gojo Gojoing around.

It wasn't until he really scolded you for leaving his side, his voice and gaze uncharacteristically serious, that you had your suspicions that something else was going on with him. From then on, he's always make you hold onto his sleeve when out, or he'd hold onto yours.

That was one of the closest physical contacts he's granting you and it's only for when you two go out.

Another thing you noticed was he didn't like when you and Megumi hung out together. You didn't know why

He'd see you two talking and suddenly he has to whisk Megumi away for "something important" or if you two are sitting too close he'd either scoot you apart with his hands, or he'd just plop right in the middle of you both, doesn't matter how uncomfortable it is.

You could never understand why he acts like this around you. At first you thought he was just being protective over Megumi (who is basically his son), but the feeling in your gut said otherwise as you continued to observe his actions.

You try to be friendly, you really do, but he never gives you a chance to bond. He's always running off to annoy someone else and as much as you hate to think it, you wished he'd annoy you too.

You wanted a fun relationship with your teacher just like the other students. Someone who just wasn't a teacher but a friend as well. You wanted the inside jokes, the fun shopping trips, the physical affection, all of what the others have with Gojo, you craved as well.

But he wouldn't give it to you. No matter how much you begged for an ounce of your teachers attention, he simply couldn't look at you when you looked too much like her.

And those eyes bring back an unbearable pain that he refuses to go through again.

Even if it meant creating a barrier between him and his precious student...and watching you walk away, a disappointed look on your face, as he once again made sure only you wouldn't be one of the few who'd get past his walls. And he knew, deep down, even though she's gone and you're still alive, at this rate

he'd lose you too.

JJK HEADCANONS: CHRISTMAS EDITION

This is way too long but I hope you enjoy nonetheless.

GOJO: Okay, he takes Christmas VERY seriously. He's the type of person who will go out and beyond to have the best decorated house on his street. The one with the most lights and decorations? Yeah that's Gojo's house.

Is it because his birthday is in december? Is it because his self proclaimed son was born three days before Christmas? Is it because he killed his best friend on Christmas day and he has to cover up the void with something uplifting? WHO KNOWS.

But there are two things this man does very well on said holiday:

- He arrives LATE to the party. This man CANNOT arrive on time to save his life, he will do everything he's not supposed to do right before leaving for Jujutsu Tech's Christmas dinner (Idc if it exists or not, it exists in MY head). He'll be like "oh, that window is really dirty, I should clean it NOW", "hm I haven't seen that one shirt I used for Christmas last year, I need to find it now, my life depends on it", "Suguru and I used ugly matching sweaters on Christmas of 2007, maybe I should wear it again but where did I put it? (he finds it and cries for an hour)". And when he DOES arrive, everyone will stare at him like he's the Grinch.

- He LOVES opening gifts. Nothing much can be said, he's definitely the type to make everyone meet at the living room to make them open the gifts. Number one fan of gift opening.

NANAMI: (God knows I cried writing this after last week's episode) I had to think hard about this one, mostly because I don't see him as someone who celebrates Christmas in a big way, probably he just buys a pretty expensive bread or a Charcuterie board and calls it a day. HOWEVER, if he plans to celebrate it one day, for once in his life, it would be orchestrated by none other than Yuji, because and I quote "Nanami shouldn't be spending such a happy day alone :(" And so he invites the first years and Gojo (and Ijichi) to celebrate Christmas at his house.

- He's the one responsible for Christmas dinner. He'll cook the turkey, he'll buy the best wine he can find (and non alcoholic sparkling apple cider because he has minors over), he'll bake the most delicious dessert you'll ever try in your life. And while the Turkey is baking, he will set up the table for everyone invited, with assigned seats (Yuji to his left, Gojo to his right). And of course he has to leave an empty chair at the table for Haibara, because he might not be there physically, but Nanami will always have a space in his life for him. (Jesus please someone tell me to SHUT THE FUCK UP)

NOBARA: (Yes, I'm adding salt to the wound) She either LOVES Christmas or she's pretty chill about it. But she loves a gold old Christmas dinner party, there's no force on this earth that will stop her from attending. And this leads me to my main point, she is pretty eager for everyone to open the gifts she gave them, why? Well

- She considers that the most important day in December is Gift Shopping Day-mas, yes she has a name for it. She will walk for HOURS from store to store trying to find the perfect gifts for her friends, no matter how much she will end up spending that day. "An expensive hoodie and a pair of sneakers for Yuji, a special limited edition of Megumi's favorite book, a wrist watch for Gojo, no that's too plain, maybe a shirt. Or an expensive colgone, or-". She'll go out and beyond for the gifts she'll give.

YUJI: This came very easy to me, as he is one of the most excited for Christmas, only second to Gojo. You know him, Itadori is the most energetic and good hearted person in Jujutsu Tech, to say he hates Christmas is a nasty lie because:

- There is not a single activity in this earth that compares to decorating for Christmas. He'll spend entire days trying to fix the Christmas lights on the rooftop in a symmetrical way, making sure every snowman is in place and every single one of the has to have a different face (just for shits and giggles).

- He is the designated Christmas lights Detangler™. And he takes his job seriously, spending hours trying to figure out the knots on the cables and the best way to detangle them without damaging the wires. It's an impressive job, even he admits it came natural to him when he was a kid, and he has done it ever since.

MEGUMI: He has never been one to get particularly excited for Christmas as he has never celebrated it in a proper way, nor he is interested in doing so. HOWEVER, he remembers two specific Christmas that have a special place in his heart. The first time he and Tsumiki saved enough money to buy a cake on Christmas day, Tsumiki said that it was to have a double celebration, as his birthday and Christmas day are only three days apart. The second time was the first Christmas he spent with Gojo, because that man went out and about to make this the best Christmas of their entire life. Food, gingerbread houses, hot chocolate, putting up the tree and decorating the whole house, allowing them to DIY their own Christmas tree ornaments (Which Gojo still has and still uses them in his Christmas tree to this day). But there is an activity I see him engaging without complaining:

- Gift wrapping. Now, I don't know if this really is a Christmas activity but in my personal experience it is and its a very nice activity I keep close to my heart. So once he has done all his Christmas shopping, he will lock himself in his bedroom and sit on the cold floor just to wrap up the well thought gifts he bought for everyone, yes including Gojo. He'll buy different gift wrap papers for the sake of knowing which gift is which, not because he chooses the paper according to the person's taste, not at all. He has to wrap them up perfectly smooth, no creases or rough edges because hes a perfectionist.

The only reason i didn't include Geto in this was because i could NOT think about something Christmas-y for him. Also becasue he was killed on Christmas day so there was not much he could be doing. I'm so sorry i swear I like him.

ALSO, I will be writing a spanish version of this post with a little twist because God knows Christmas in a Hispanic household hits different. And it's also a way for me to know how many people will enjoy/interact with that post since i dont see any spanish content of JJK on Tumblr, I see it mostly on TikTok but I don't have the time to manage two accounts on different platforms so.

i see you are a fan of megumi angst. as you should. i love my son ofc. i was there when gojo pushed that sea urchin out of his womb. i tried (& failed) to hold gojo back from blasting a hollow purple at everyone when they wanted to hold megumi. bro would not let him go. BUT. i love seeing my favs suffer.

SO — the zenin having more of an involvement with megumi? the higher ups fucking up megumi life without even lifting a finger or like talking to megs? GOJO putting his trust in yaga only to get fucked sideways by the fates themselves & starting a whole rebellion? YUUTA & MEGUMI MEETING RIGHT AFTER SATOSUGU divorce causing problems for the students? yeah. this is my jujutsu kaisen. gege could never compare to you.

i do have a few questions though like who tf was tsumiki texting & calling? how is kamo so down bad for megumi that even gojo cringes a little when he brings him up? is yuuta whole obsession thing be linked to rika coming back? MAKI. will we get to see maki & megumi bitching about naoya ?

but a more serious question is: why would the zenin fuck around & traumatize the adopted kid of the strongest, the ten shadows user, when they know it will come with consequences? do they think that there higher ups will put a leash on gojo or some shit like when they was younger? or did they do this out of some sick way of showing their care for megumi bc like they’re trying to show him that gojo is making him weak (which is so not true idc) & they decided to push his limits to showcase his weakness? like as a big fuck you to gojo & an eye opener to megumi?

Kamo:

it's basically canon to me that he is. Kamo was straight up trying to have this big climactic confession with Megumi where he bared his heart and soul and told them they were the same and should find allies in the other and megumi was like "the hell we are" and had to say it twice so he would have no doubt. meanwhile his internal monologue was "why the hell is this guy acting like we're friends or something" megumi you have canonically known him for three years now. he's baring his soul to you. oh my god he wants to be your friend.

in actuality, Kamo is very lonely and isolated in his clan and sees Megumi as, canonically, the same as him. They were both born outside of their clan. Both clans brought them in (or tried to in the Zenin's case) because of their inherited techniques. they both have family that doesn't fit in with the rest of their clan. Kamo is constantly pressured to perform as the perfect heir and sees megumi as the only person in the world who has a chance of understanding him.

The Zenin:

Honestly it was a huge amount of entitlement and the fact that they just were not at all smart and never actually thought they'd face consequences for their actions.

First off, they never thought of Gojo as Megumi's adoptive father who loved him. They were the ones who loved Megumi. Gojo did this as a power play, and to keep the Ten Shadows from reaching his full potential. In their mind, he never loved Megumi as his son and didn't warrant the same levels of concern. They weren't going to exactly erect a billboard about his mistreatment, but they weren't all that worried either. They didn't think Gojo would do what he did and cut them off completely--they were more worried with Gojo trying to use it to make them lose leverage when they were getting a better custody deal. It was absolutely obvious to them that gojo was not doing this out of love and didn't actually care what happened to megumi.

They also didn't personally view what they were doing to megumi as abuse.

Most of the time that they beat him, it was during "training," which he did for a ludicrous amount of time during the day. He needed to be trained in combat. In zenin training, that includes feeling the pain of the blow according to Maki. He needed to learn how to handle pain. that meant hitting him for real.

Except his training was run by an insecure psychopath obsessed with his dead dad and a revolving cast of lunatics obsessed with megumi's progress because that was meant to herald the return of the zenin clan to its former glory. they went way too far way too many times.

The rest was just what Naoya called Zenin-typical discipline, but dialed up because he's fucking crazy. Like. The Zenin weren't strangers to corporal punishment, but naoya always liked hitting megumi. he looked for excuses to do it.

It's the Zenin way, at the end of the day. They all went through the same and turned out just fine. And they wanted Megumi to be raised Zenin.

They also just didn't think of him as, you know. a person.

He was their hopes and dreams personified. They'd waited centuries for him to return to them. Only for him to be tainted by their greatest enemy and taken from them.

So much of Megumi wasn't real to them. It was all just--Gojo's corruption and mockery. Wanting to wear his own clothes? spiting their traditional dress with the ways of the non-jujutsu world. Obviously Gojo's doing. Wanting to be called his own name? It's an honor to be the ten shadows. They waited five hundred years for him. Gojo would not be allowed to diminish that.

The entire clan was not aware that Megumi was being beaten. Only a very, very select few were given time with him, and they usually hit him behind closed doors. Which is what Maki remembers--she can't remember why, but she felt bad for him, and it was hard to figure out why, because he was the ten shadows and was supposed to be beloved. And then she realized that it was because he never had any time to play. And she always saw him being lugged unconscious from the training room.

She didn't see the bits leading up to it. how bad it got. she only got a glimpse, that most of the clan was more than happy to explain away. the ten shadows was training to grow strong for them, after all.

The people abusing him were entitled assholes who just thought they were above consequences. There's an old world mindset around kids in the jujutsu world--they're basically the property of their clan. There's no CPS. No one's doing a wellness check here. They normally would have been allowed to do whatever the fuck they wanted to megumi with impunity--the fact that Gojo's breathing down their neck is a slap in the face and a continued humiliation. They weren't going to add insult to injury and just. tiptoe around how they trained their ten shadows in the privacy of their own compound based on what gojo satoru might think. Megumi would be raised as Zenin are raised when they had him, and Gojo satoru wouldn't have a say in it.

Of course, this was a classic case of fuck around and find out. They didn't think gojo would care; they were wrong and he cut them off from megumi entirely. They never once thought about megumi's autonomous desires and boundaries; now they are cut off permanently from him. They were stupid and felt entitled to do with Megumi as they pleased, and they lost him as a result.

ANYWAYS. Five characters only is IMPOSSIBLE. I have tons but..these are what pops up in my mind first.

1. Peter Quill!! Honestly idk if he's number 1. But this are not by rankings cause I'm picky about comfort characters and they're all number 1. I love Peter he's so funny, so charismatic and soooo baby, (and so traumatized wow) The first time I saw him I KNEW he was going to be my favourite Guardian along w Rocket and Groot.

2. Dean Winchester. Hello my traumatized baby, look at him. He's so sweet and cute, despite all that trauma and stuff going on in his life he's still so kind and he tries not to continue the trauma chain and I'm so proud of him. He's my fav SPN character along with Bobby Singer, Crowley, and Castiel <3

3. (omg suddenly there's too much characters in my head) UHHHH. OKAY MO GUAN SHAN!! MOMO FROM 19 DAYS MANHWA. yes. I mean the whole manhwa is my comfort manhwa, I'm always sooo excited for new chapters but momo is my fav lil kitten he's so agressive and cute and baby, always getting into fights and definitely has some sort of freaking PTSD or something but He Tian's there to love him. So it's fine. TianShan couple goals.

He's doing great, unlike all the other characters I don't think he is that traumatized despite almost dying in an explosion, got dusted by Thanos, his best friend growing old( like rotting old) and giving him the responsibility of being Captain America and the whole states in his hand, and he definitely had identity crisis for a while. But that's just common marvel trauma. anyways, he's the guy, he's the cutest, him and his lil wizards, aliens and stuff speech was so cute. His whole character is a comfort.

I FUCKING DID! I really thought I wouldn't be able to because I hate going to the cinema alone, but turns out that a couple of friends wanted to watch it too and I had no idea.

Anyway, I LOVED IT. Nanami stole the show, ofc. Idc what anyone says, he looked so badass during his 30 seconds of screentime! I mean, Gojo was as cool as always, he never disappoints, but Nanami... Oh Nanami. And I went through the biggest Yuta and Geto brainrot for DAYS after I watched the movie omfg. Yuta's dynamic with Maki is so cute, I really liked that. I also really enjoyed his friendship with Toge and his relationship with Gojo. Reminds me of him and Megumi. He's just such a nice guy, I want every single good thing ever to happen to him.

I also started reading the manga. I'm on chapter 155 if I'm not wrong and oh boy. It turned dark. Needless to say that I hate chapter 120, but I enjoyed Gojo's past arc very much. It made me feel annoyed by his old personality, but it also gave him more depth. Also, Toji. I like him a lot and I want to learn more about him, but I'm glad he's dead because I love the sort of father-son thingy between Gojo and Megumi and the symbolism of it. It will have much importance towards the end of the story. Especially since I feel like Gojo will die and Megumi will be the key to defeat Sukuna.

what do you think megumi feels about his biological mother? she didn’t just up and leave like toji so it’s not like he hates her but he also never met her. he’s shown to be very independent from a young age but we also see that it’s not exactly natural for kids his age to not care one bit where his parents went. imo, he’s probably repressing any sort of feelings he has towards either of his parents bc it’s easier to just not deal with them.

id also like to see how megumi’s mother would react to her husband selling off their child. like she’s the one person toji fully devoted himself to and a part of that would probably include at the very least telling her small snippets of his family. she probably knew just how horrible the zenin were and then she meets her husband in the after life and learns that he not only stopped actively caring for megumi after her death but that he also would leave their son alone with random women for days at a time and add on top of that literally selling their son to his super abusive family. idc just how strong or prepared toji is, nothing could save him from her wrath.

also a very self indulgent headcannon that if megumi ever met his mother and got to know her, he’d be a huge momma’s boy. like an absolute menace to toji, a scary antisocial brooding guy to his friends and colleagues but with his mother he’s a perfect little angel who can do no wrong.

He has absolutely no idea who she is and doesn’t really think about her.

He doesn’t remember his dad all that much, let alone whether he ever mentioned his mom. He doesn't necessarily remember being with his dad, but he remembers remembering it, if that makes sense? He has some idea how he was living, and he remembers Tsumiki and her mom just being one in a long line of people his dad would barnacle onto for a brief period of time to bleed dry and move on. He thinks that Tsumiki's the first one that actually liked him. He just remembers being vaguely uncomfortable and afraid whenever his dad left him with those women.

His impression of his dad isn't "had overwhelming and devoted love for his mother." Megumi thinks that his mom was just another one of those women who would use his dad while his dad used her. His dad wanted to have a kid so he could sell him like a specially bred horse. He knocked up some random woman to do it, who probably never wanted Megumi to begin with, and the most notable thing about her is that she managed to saddle Toji with caring for megumi long term and get out herself. He doesn't know she died. He thinks she just didn't give a shit about him and left him with someone who she knew wouldn't take care of him. She's probably still alive out there and just... not caring about him.

That being said, Megumi's mother loved him with her whole heart and would kick toji's ass for selling him to the Zenin.

In whatever jujutsu afterlife there is, she smacked him senseless and gave him the cold shoulder for ages. that was her little boy and Toji fucking SOLD him? bitch. She adores Tsumiki and has become infuriatingly fond of Gojo over the years, who she considers a "nice young man" for saving her boy from the zenin. he was on thin fucking ice for a while at the start, but over the years, he's shown he really cares about her son.

Megumi would be a mama's boy you're absolutely right. He's a menace to his dad but he's very well behaved for his mom. Toji's like "he's going through some kind of rebellious phase" and she's like "psshhh no he isn't." and she's right. it's not a phase. megumi's just like that.

He just says “I’ve got the perfect person to solve this problem” and puts Megumi on the assignment no explanation no instruction fully 1200% counting on the fact that Megumi will crumple like a wet paper towel and relapse into his bully days within minutes of the school day starting. Megumis just fucking sweating knowing that’s exactly why gojo drafted him for the assignment and trying not to prove him right.

And then he crumples like a wet paper towel within minutes of the school day starting and reverts to his bullying ways. Gojo stop laughing.
