this isnt rlly a serious post more so than a thought I need to verbalize but like. there’s an INSANE difference between the fandom being like “hey what if jack was actually his age and got to be a little normal” vs y’all treating a grown ass man like he has to cover his ears when someone swears or sleep with a nightlight on because he’s afraid of the dark, and throwing the P word around to anyone who thinks he’s attractive. one of these things is not like the other.

i think something that really stuck with me after season three was how well they showed five’s ptsd worsen. a long time ago, when i was doing research on ptsd for myself, i saw someone connect their ptsd to the five stages of grief. it was interesting and when i think about five’s storyline throughout the show/where it could go in the future, i feel like it applies to him the most out of anyone else on the show.
season one was denial from everything he’s done at the commission, the isolation from the apocalypse, some leftover childhood trauma, etc. season two was being angrier and more violent towards his siblings, the commission, his past self, etc. season three started out with bargaining, but i definitely think it ended on five being depressed. at the start of the season, he didn’t want to be the hargreeves’ savior anymore and imo he only agreed to go on the road trip with klaus because he knew klaus would be one of the only siblings who wouldn’t give him shit for ending up in their new timeline. i feel like five is bargaining with himself heavily here-- he probably started to internally ask himself questions like “what if i could actually find a timeline without problems where everyone in my family would be happy”, “what if i could keep pushing myself further”, “what if i’ll never get to have a break”, etc. he tried to push aside his own doubts about their new timeline so his family would be okay with staying there, but mainly, it’s because finding a new timeline would put him through even more stress. none of his siblings notice it, but the fact he asked for a break? when he’s never done that up until this season? it means he genuinely couldn’t handle anything else big happening (but well... we all know how that turned out.) ptsd affects people’s relationship with stress to a point where you can either handle insane amounts of stress or none at all and when you overload yourself, you feel everything shut down. i would say five started feeling this around half way through the season and it’s what caused his transition into depression. i feel like finding out he was the founder of the commission and watching himself die was a bigger deal than he wants to let himself believe. the first time i felt like i saw a sign of him being depressed was during the talk with viktor where he calls him a villain. it was definitely there when reginald convinced him to come to the family meeting. i feel like next season is going to be one of his lowest points because he doesn’t have his powers anymore, he has to deal with the commission bullshit/his future, and like he told lila, he’s never going to be someone who’s content with an ordinary life. i have a feeling this new timeline is try and force acceptance (the final grief stage) on all the hargreeves because they finally “got what they wanted” after three timelines of chaos from having to be heroes, but five is going to be one of the only members of the family who finds himself truly struggling with it.

fiver hearing everyone is so worried about him and working themselves to the bone trying to find some way to save him is just making him feel so much worse. it's such a good lead up to him trying to run off by himself and his full breakdown when his friends stop him. because of course he'd try to go off on his own and fix all of this. it's his fault, in his mind, because he failed.

bitch what?? says who????? is there a law that states that every single person on earth has to have sex at some point????
sounds like a you problem tbh!!!!!
lmao WHAT are you fucking talking about!!!!!
YEAH AND???? SO WHAT??? WHAT THE EVERLOVING FUCK IS THE PROBLEM WITH THAT????????
who the fuck are you to dictate what other people do (or DON'T do) in their bedrooms?????
god i really really really really despise that societal expectation that everyone HAS to have sex at some point. i hate that society thinks that you HAVE to have sex in a relationship
and i also really really really really hate and despise that thing that happens in media that a couple HAS to fuck each other pretty much the day after they get together (if they haven't already at that point). like, even IF we're talking about a relationship where the people involved really ARE going to sleep with each other at one point.... you can literally take your time???? until you get to that point???? you can get to know each other first and figure out other aspects of the relationship first before you sleep with each other for the first time???? like. that's a thing??????!!!!!!! like. you don't even have to be asexual in order to wait until you have sex with your partner??????? do the writers realize that?????? clearly they don't
honestly what's with that expectation that kawi n e e d s to fuck pisaeng right away when they've only just started dating????? let kawi get comfortable in the relationship first please???? honestly what the fuck is up with all that stress and pressure????
ngl i find this particular scene extremely uncomfortable in so many ways

So, so tired of BSD... But at least it's over, for me. I can finally let go. The last Nikolai chapter is finally out. Until next arc, perhaps, but given his lack of involvement, I wouldn't be surprised if he only appeared in one or two cells after this. Or if his Ability is convenient enough maybe he'll be the next Poe. The rules of his Ability are already broken, after all... Hah, God, I kinda just wish he and Fyodor would never be mentioned again. Like, that's it, done, Dazai actually killed Fyodor, that's a wrap, now let poor Kizo rest. I know that's not how it's going to go, but I wish.
